1:52thought Mrs ell and the two kids the two
1:55younger kids were in the house I didn't
1:56realize Mr oo was going to be there all
1:59right how did you get into the house I
2:02came through the back door uh got the
2:04phone lines uh waited at the back door
2:06had reservations about even going or
2:08just walking away but pretty soon the
2:10door opened and I was
2:12in all right so the door open was it
2:15open for you or did I think one of the
2:17kids I think the
2:19uh uh junior or not Junior yes the
2:23um the younger Joseph opened the door
2:27he' probably let the dog out cuz the dog
2:29was in there house at that time all
2:31right when you went into the house what
2:33happened then well I confronted the
2:35family U pulled a pistol U confronted Mr
2:38O Terell and asked him to uh you know
2:43that I was there to basically I was
2:47wanted uh wanted to uh get the car I was
2:51hungry food I was wanted and ask him lie
2:54down in the living room and at that time
2:58I realized that wouldn't be a really
2:59good idea so so I finally the dog was a
3:01rogue problem so I asked Mr oo if he
3:03could get the dog out so he had one of
3:05the kids put it out and then I took him
3:08back to the
3:08bedroom you took who back to the bedroom
3:11uh the family the bedroom the four
3:12members all right what happened then
3:14that's time I tied him
3:17up while still holding them at gun Point
3:20well in between tying and yes yeah all
3:24right after you tied them up what
3:26occur well uh they started complaining
3:29about being tied up and I re reuen the
3:32bonds a couple of times uh tried to make
3:34Mr oaro as comfortable as I could uh
3:37apparently had a cracked rib from a car
3:39accident so I had him put a pillow down
3:41on for his head uh had he put a I think
3:45he Parker or a coat underneath him uh
3:51they uh you know they talked to me about
3:53U you know giving the car and whatever
3:56money I guess they didn't have very much
3:57money and
4:00the there I realized that uh you know I
4:03was already I didn't have a mask on or
4:06they already could ID me and
4:10uh made a made a decision to go ahead
4:12and and put them down I guess or
4:16strangled all right what did you do to
4:18Joseph ooto sen Joseph oo yeah Joseph

4:25plastic bag over his head and then some
4:28quartz then tightened it
4:31and this was in the bedroom yes
4:35sir did he in fact uh suffocate and die

4:44after that I uh I did miss this
4:47alaro I had never strangled anyone
4:49before so I really didn't know how much
4:52pressure you had to put on a person or
4:53how long would it take but was she also
4:57tied up there in the bed uhuh yeah both
4:59their hands and their feet were tied up
5:00she was on the bed where were the
5:02children uh well Josephine was on the
5:05bed and uh junior was on the floor this
5:09time so we're we're talking first of all
5:12about Joseph ooto so You' put the bag
5:15over his head and tied it mhm and he did
5:18not die right away can you tell me what
5:20happened in regards to Joseph uh he
5:21moved over real quick like and I think
5:23tore a hole in the bag and I could tell
5:25that he was having some problems there
5:27that at that time the the whole family
5:29just went uh they went panicked on me so

5:37I mean I I I strangled Mrs oaro and she
5:41went out or passed out I thought she was
5:44dead she passed out and I strangled uh
5:47Josephine she passed out or I thought
5:50she was dead and uh then I went over and
5:53put a uh and then put a bag
5:56on Junior's head and uh
6:01and then uh if I remember right uh Mrs
6:06Otero came
6:09back she came back and U sir let me ask
6:12you about Joseph oo senior indicated he
6:15had torn a hole in the bag MH and what
6:18did you do with him then I put another
6:21bag over it or either that or a fire
6:23recollect I think I put a uh either a
6:26cloth or a t-shirt or something over it
6:29over his head and then a bag another
6:32bag did he subsequently die well yes I
6:37mean I I mean I was I didn't just stay
6:39there and watch him then I was moving
6:41around the room but all right so you
6:43indicated you strangled Mrs
6:45Otero after you had done this is that
6:48correct now I went back and strangled
6:51her again that and that that finally
6:54killed her at that time so this is in
6:56regards to count two you would first of
6:58all put the bag over Joseph oo's head M
7:01and he tore a hole in the bag MH then
7:04you went ahead did you strangle Mrs oaro

7:09all Mr oo was strangled or a bag put
7:12over his head and strangled then I
7:14thought he was going down and I went
7:17over and strangled Mrs ottero and I
7:20thought she was down then I
7:23strangled Josephine while she was down
7:26and then I went over to Junior and put
7:29the back bag on his
7:31head after that Mrs Otero woke back up
7:35and you know she was pretty upset and
7:38what's going on so I came back and uh at
7:42that point in time strangled her for for
7:44a death strangle at that time with your
7:46hands or what no with a cord with a with
7:49a
7:49rope and uh then I uh I think at that
7:53point in time I redid Mr oaro put the
7:56bag over his head uh went over and then
7:59took Junior oh oh before that she asked
8:01me to u to save her son so I actually
8:06had taken a bag off and then I was
8:08really upset at that point in time so
8:10basically when Mr Terell was down Mrs L
8:13Terell was down I went ahead and and
8:15took uh junior I put another bag over
8:17his head and took him to the other
8:18bedroom at that time what did you do
8:21then U put a bag over his head I put a
8:24cloth over his head a T-shirt and a bag
8:25so he couldn't tear a hole in it and he
8:29such I died from that and then when I
8:32went back uh Josephine had woke back up
8:36what did you do then and I took her to
8:38the basement and eventually hung her are
8:42you hung her in the basement yes sir did
8:45you do anything else at that time yes I
8:48uh I had some sexual
8:49fantasies but that was uh after she was
8:53hung all
8:55right what did you do then must be the
8:59house uh kind of cleaned it up it's

9:40and then drove over

9:45eventually walked back to my

11:27thought that's a possibility there was
11:29many many places in the area um College
11:33Hill they're all over witch but anyway
11:35that's it just was basically a selection
11:37process work toward it if it didn't work

11:41the in the my kind of person stalking
11:44and scrolling you go through the
11:46trolling stage and then a stocking stage
11:48she was in the stocking stage when this
11:50happened

11:54Catherine brigh as a potential victim

12:01here in cedri County on this particular
12:04day yes uh I broke into the house and
12:07waited for her to come home how did you

12:22kind of figured out where I'd be if they
12:24came through all right what happened
12:26then uh she and Kevin brgh came in I
12:30wasn't expecting him to be
12:32there and come find out I guess they
12:34were
12:35related that time I approached him and
12:38told him I was wanted in
12:40California needed some car B basically
12:43the same thing that I told the U kind of
12:46ease them make him feel better and
12:49proceeded to I think I had him tie I
12:51think I had him tie her up first and
12:54then I tied him up or vice versa I don't
12:56remember right now at that time let me
12:58ask indicated you had some uh items to
13:02tie these people with did you bring
13:03these items both the Aeros and this
13:06location the aals I did uh I'm not
13:09really sure on the
13:10brights
13:13um there was some I when I in working
13:17with the police there was some
13:18controversy on that probably more likely
13:21I did but uh if if I had brought my
13:25stuff and used my stuff U Kevin would
13:27probably be dead today all right I'm not
13:30bragging on that it's just a matter of
13:31fact it's the bonds I bro tied him up
13:34with that he broke himself and that all
13:37right and maybe same way with uh same
13:40with Katherine it was I got out of got
13:43out of hand all right now you indicated
13:45you believe you had Kevin Tai Catherine
13:48up and tell me what happened then okay I
13:51moved uh well after I really can't
13:54remember judge whether I had her tie him
13:56up or she tied him up but anyway I moved
13:59basically I moved her to another bedroom
14:01and he was already secure there by the
14:04bed tied his feet to the bed post bottom
14:08the bed post that he couldn't run uh
14:10kind of tied her in the other bedroom
14:13and then it came back to strangle him
14:15and at that time we had a fight were you
14:18armed with a handgun at that time also
14:20yes I had a handgun what happened when
14:22you came back I actually had two
14:24handguns um well I started strangling
14:27the either the uh bar broke or he broke
14:30his bonds and he jumped up real quick
14:31like I pulled my gun and quickly shot
14:34him hit him in the head he fell over I
14:38could see the blood and as far as I
14:40concerned you know I thought he was down
14:42and was out and then went and started to
14:47strangle cath or
14:49Katherine and then we started fighting
14:52because bonds weren't very good and so
14:55back and forth we fought you and
14:57Catherine yeah we fought
14:59and I got the best of her and I thought
15:01she was going down and then I could hear
15:03some movement in the other room so I
15:05went back and Kevin uh no no no I
15:09thought she was going down and I went
15:11back to the other bedroom where Kevin
15:13was at and I tried to rest strangle him
15:15at that time and he jumped up and we
15:18fought and uh and he about at that time
15:21about shot me cuz he got the other my
15:23pistol that was in my shoulder here I
15:25had my Magnum in my shoulder so in a
15:29holster did you have a shoulder holster
15:31yes and I had the Magnum in my shoulder
15:32holster the other one was a
15:3422 and we fought at that point in time
15:38and I thought it was going to go off I
15:39jammed the gun stuck my finger in the in
15:42there jammed it and I think he thought
15:45that was the only gun I had because once
15:47I either bit his finger or hit him or
15:49something got away and I used the 22 and
15:51shot him one more time and I thought he
15:53was down for good that time all right so
15:55you shot him a second time yes sir what
15:57happened then uh went back to
16:01uh finish the job on Catherine and she
16:05was
16:06fighting uh and at that point in time
16:09I've been fighting her and I just and
16:11then I heard some I don't know whether I
16:14was list basically losing control the
16:16strangulation wasn't working on her and
16:18I used a knife on
16:21her you say you used a knife on her what
16:24did you do with the knife I stabbed her
16:27I she said either stabbed two or three
16:28times uh either here or here maybe two
16:31back here and one here or maybe just two
16:33times back here you were pointing to
16:35your lower back and your yeah underneath
16:37the ribs in your lower abdomen yeah
16:39underneath the ribs up up underneath the
16:41ribs so after you stabbed her what
16:43happened um actually I think at that
16:48point in time well it's a total mess
16:51because I didn't have control on it she
16:53was bleeding she went
16:55down um I think I just went back to
16:58check back on Kevin or at that basically
17:00same time I heard him Escape it could be
17:03one of the two but all of a sudden the
17:04front door of the house was open and he
17:06was gone and or oh I tell you what I
17:09thought I thought the police were coming
17:10at that time I heard the door open I
17:12thought that's it and I stepped out
17:14there and he I can see him running down
17:16the street so I quickly cleaned up
17:18everything that I could and left all
17:20right now Mr Raider you indicated that
17:23at the otos you did not have a mask on
17:25did you have a mask on at the bright no
17:28no I didn't
17:30all right so what happened then uh I
17:33tried to I had already had the keys to
17:35the
17:36cars uh and I thought I had the right
17:38key to the right car I ran after their
17:40car what I think it was a pickup out
17:42there and I tried it didn't work and at
17:46that point in time I was he was gone
17:47running down the street I thought yeah
17:49I'm in trouble so I tried it didn't work
17:51so I just took off R I went down went
17:54East and then worked back toward the WSU
17:56campus where my car was parked all right
17:59so you had parked your car at the wiah
18:01State University campus campus uh how
18:03far away were was the Brites
18:06residence I parked U was that
18:1113th and they're I see they're they were
18:14on 13th was it 17th yeah I was C I was
18:17just about one block south of 17th where
18:19the car was there there's a park there I
18:21parked by that Park and then I walked to
18:2413th to the bres residence so I
18:27basically ran back all right all right
18:29so you were able to get to your car and
18:30get away yes sir now let's turn to count

18:37March 17th
18:391977 in cedri County Kansas that you

19:32keyed up so I just started going through
19:34the neighborhood I've been through the
19:35neighborhood before I kind of knew a
19:38little of the layout of the neighborhood
19:40I've been through the back alleys knew
19:42some certain people live um while I U
19:46was walking down hydraulic uh I met a a
19:49young boy and asked him if he ID some
19:54pictures kind of was a Russ I guess or
19:56Roost as you call it and kind of feel it
19:59out and saw where he went and I went to
20:02another address and knocked in the door
20:04nobody opened the door so I just noticed
20:06where he went and went to that house and
20:08we went from there now you you call
20:10these projects up were these sexual
20:13fantasies also potential
20:16hits in my world that's what I called
20:18them right call projects
20:22hits all right and and why did you have
20:24these potential hits was this gratify
20:26some sexual interest or yes sir I had
20:30there I had a lot of them so it's just
20:33if one didn't work out I just moved to
20:34another one all right so as I'm to
20:37understand it then on the 17th of March
20:391977 you saw this little boy go into a
20:41residence and you tried another
20:44residence no one was there you tried
20:46another residence no one was there so
20:48you went to the residence with the
20:49little boy and I watched I watched where
20:51he went what happened then uh after I
20:53tried this one a residence nobody came
20:55to the door I went to this house where
20:56he went in knocked in the door and told
20:59him I was a private detective showed him
21:01a picture that I had just showed the boy
21:03and asked him if they could ID the
21:05picture and at that time I I had the gun
21:08here and I just kind of forced myself in
21:09I just walked in just open the door
21:12walked in and then pulled the pistol
21:14what gun what pistol uh 357
21:18Magnum so you only had one gun with your
21:21yes sir uhhuh what happened then uh I
21:24told uh Mrs uh missan that uh I had a
21:29problem with sexual fantasies that I was
21:31going to tie her up and that I might
21:35have to tie the kids
21:37up and she would cooperate with us
21:40cooperate with me that time we went back
21:43uh she was extremely nervous I think she
21:44even smoked a cigarette and we went back
21:47to one of the back back areas of the
21:49porch explained to her that I had done
21:51this before
21:54and I think she at that point in time I
21:56think she was sick cuz she had a night
21:57robe on and I think if I remember right
21:59she was she had been sick I I think she
22:01came out of the bedroom when I went in
22:03the house so anyway we went back to the
22:06her bedroom and I proceeded to tie the
22:08kids up and they started crying and got
22:10real upset so I said no this is not
22:12going to work so we moved him to the
22:14bathroom she helped me and then I tied
22:17the door shut we put some toys and U
22:20blankets and odds and ends in there for
22:21the kids make them as comfortable as we
22:23could tied the uh we tied one of the
22:26bathroom doors shut so they couldn't
22:27open it and we shoved she went back and
22:29helped me shove the bed up against the
22:31other bathroom door and then I proceeded
22:34to uh tie her up uh she got sick threw
22:38up um got her a glass of water comforted
22:41her a little bit and then went ahead and
22:43tigh it up and then put a bag bag
22:46overhead and strangled her all right was
22:48this a plastic bag also yes sir I think
22:51it was but I could be wrong in that you
22:54put a bag it was something I'm sure it
22:56was plastic bag yeah you say you put a
22:58bag on overhead and strangled her what
22:59did you strangle her with uh I actually
23:02I think on that I had tie tighter legs
23:04to the bed post and worked up with a
23:06rope all the way up and then what I had
23:07left over I looped over her that right
23:10so you use this uh rope to strangle her
23:13yes I think I think it's the same one
23:14that I tied her body with what happened
23:17then well the uh the kids were really
23:19banging on the door hollering screaming
23:22and uh and then the telephone rang and
23:25they had talked about earlier that the
23:27neighbor was going to check on them so I
23:29cleaned everything up real quick like
23:30and got out of there left and went back
23:31into my car when you say you cleaned
23:34everything well I mean put my stuff I
23:35had a brief case uh whatever I had
23:38laying around ropes tape cords I threw
23:40that in there my you know whatever you
23:43know that I had that I brought in the
23:44house had you brought that to the bright
23:47residence also or yeah there are some
23:50there I I think there was some basic
23:52stuff but I don't remember bringing
23:54total stuff like I did to some of the
23:56others was this AIT that you had
23:58prepared yeah yes I called my head
24:02kit all right sir you left the Vian
24:07residence and had you parked your
24:09vehicle near there s the same parking
24:11lot there Dylan's at hydraulic
24:15and what is that har Lincoln Lincoln

24:24claimed that on the 8th day of December
24:261977 SRI County Kansas that you and ly
24:29killed a human being that being Nancy
24:31Fox maliciously willfully deliberately

24:38inflicting injuries from which the said
24:40Nancy Fox did die on December 8th

24:49was another one of the projects uh when
24:52I was uh trolling the area I noticed her
24:56going in the house one night
24:59um sometimes and uh anyway I put her
25:02down as potential victim let me ask you

25:07when you were patrolling the area what
25:08do you mean by that it's called stalking
25:12or trolling so you were not uh working
25:16in any form or fashion you just I don't
25:18know you know if you read much about
25:21serial killers they go through what they
25:22call the different phases uh that's one
25:25of the phases they go through as a as a
25:27trolling stage you're basically you're
25:29looking for a victim at that time and
25:31that you could be trolling for months or
25:33years but once you lock in on a certain
25:35person then you become stocking and that
25:37might be several of them but you really
25:38home in on that
25:40person they basically come the that's
25:43that's the victim or that's what you
25:45want to
25:46be
25:48trolling a
25:52trolling oh okay all right no no I
25:55wasn't working sir no this was you know
25:59this was off off off my hours all right
26:02so you basically uh identified Nancy Fox
26:07as one of your U projects what happened
26:10then uh at first uh she was uh spotted
26:14and then I did a little homework I
26:15dropped by once to check the mailbox to
26:18see what her name was U found out where
26:21she worked uh stopped by there once at
26:25Hillsburg kind of sced her up by the the
26:28more I knew about a person the more I
26:30felt comfortable with it so I did that a
26:32couple times and then I just selected a
26:34night which was just particular night to
26:37try it and it worked out all right can

26:46blocks away I parked my car and walked

26:58door so I went around to the back of the
27:00house uh cut the phone lines I could
27:02tell that there wasn't anybody in the uh
27:04North Apartment uh broke in and waited
27:08for her to come home in the
27:10kitchen all right did she come home yes
27:12she did what happened I confronted her
27:15uh told her there I was a uh had a
27:18problem sexual problem that I would have
27:20to tire up and have sex with her
27:25uh she was uh a little up SI
27:29we talked for a while she smoked a
27:31cigarette while while we smoked
27:33cigarette I went through her purse
27:35identifying some stuff and she finally
27:38said well let's get this over with so I
27:40can go call the police I said Okay and
27:42she said can I go to the bathroom I said
27:44yes she went to the bathroom and came
27:48and I told her when she came out to make
27:49sure that she was
27:51undressed and when she came out I
27:54handcuffed her and U know really
27:59sir you handcuffed or you had a pair of
28:01handcuffs yes
28:03sir what happened then well anyway I had
28:05a handcuff her had a lay on the bed and
28:07then I tied her
28:08feet and then I I was also undressed to
28:13a certain degree and then I got on top
28:16of her and then I reached over took e
28:19either either feet were tied or not tied
28:21anyway I took I think I had a belt I
28:23took the belt and then strangled her
28:24with a belt at that time all right
28:28all right after you had strangled her
28:30what happened then okay uh after I
28:32strangled with the belt I took the belt
28:34off and retied that with pany hose real
28:36tight uh remove the
28:39handcuffs and tied those with u with
28:42panning hose can't remember the colors
28:44right now I think I maybe retied her
28:47feet what they had not they were
28:49probably already tied her feet were uh
28:51and that time masturbated sir all right
28:56had you had sexual relations with no no
28:59no I told her I was but I did not so you
29:02masturbated then what did you do uh
29:06dressed and then went through the house
29:07and took some of her personal items and
29:09kind of cleaned the house up went
29:10through it make checked everything and
29:12then
29:14left all
29:19right he's established was in C County I

30:58other commitment I came back from that
31:00commitment parked my car over at
31:05U wood lawn and 21st Street uh at
31:09bowling alley there at that
31:11time uh before that I dressed into I had
31:14some other clothes on changed clothes I
31:16went to the bowling alley U went in
31:18there under the precense of bowling
31:20called a taxi had a taxi take me out to
31:23Park City had my kit with me there a
31:26bowling bag all right that was Park City
31:28in Sedwick County Kansas all right you
31:31had the taxi take you to Park City what
31:33happened then uh there I asked I I uh
31:36pretending that I was a little drunk I
31:38just took I just took some beer and
31:39wored it around my mouth and that guy
31:41could probably smell the alcohol on me I
31:43asked told him to let me out so I could
31:45get some fresh air and I walk from where
31:46the taxi let me off over to her
31:49house all right where did she live uh

32:31so went went back to one of the bedrooms

32:40so he left and I waited till we hours in
32:44the
32:45morning and then proceeded to uh sneak
32:48into her bedroom and uh flip the lights
32:50on what Qui like or I think the bathroom
32:52lights I just I didn't want to flip her
32:53lights on and and she screamed and I
32:56jumped on the bed and strangled her
32:57manually

33:04you indicated this woman lived down the
33:06street from you did she know you uh
33:09casually we' walk by and wave she she
33:12liked to work in her yard as well as I
33:14like to work it just a neighborly type
33:16thing it wasn't anything personal I mean
33:18just a neighbor all right so she was in
33:20her bed when you turn on the lights in
33:22the bathroom bathroom yeah so I get some
33:25light in there what did you do then I
33:27man strangled her when she started to
33:29scream so you used your hands yes sir
33:32and you strangled her did she die yes
33:35all right what did you do that uh after
33:37that uh since I was in the sexual
33:41fantasy I uh went ahead and stripped her
33:45and probably went ahead and I'm not sure
33:46if I tied her up at that point in time
33:49but anyway she was new and I put her on
33:51a blanket uh went through her purse some
33:53personal items in the house figured out
33:56how I was going to get her out of there
33:59eventually uh moved her to the trunk of
34:01the
34:03car took the car over to U Christ
34:06Lutheran Church this is where the older
34:09church and uh took some pictures of
34:13her all right you took some photographs
34:16or what kind of camera did you use uh
34:17poor
34:18Lord did you keep those photographs yes
34:22the police probably have
34:24them all right what happened then uh
34:27that was it uh went took she went
34:30through I tied it she was already dead
34:32so I took pictures of her in different
34:34forms of bondage and that's probably
34:38what got me in trouble was the bondage
34:40thing so anyway that's the probably the
34:42the main thing but anyway after that I
34:45moved her back out to the car and then
34:48we went East on
34:5053rd all right what occurred then sir
34:53what happened then oh uh trying to find
34:55a place to hide her hide the body
34:58did you find a place yes yes I did where
35:02uh couldn't tell you without looking at
35:04map but it was on 53rd uh Queen green

35:55Vicki wagerle did die on September 16th

36:11went through those different phases uh
36:12locked in on her as I would call it and
36:15uh decided that I would try that date I
36:18used a Roose as a telephone repair man
36:21to get in their house Joe there in my
36:24own personal car uh around lunchtime
36:27during lunch hour or approximately that
36:29time it was earlier in the morning that
36:32and uh put my I actually went somewhere
36:35else and changed uh changed my clothes
36:37what I what I call my uh hit clothes and
36:42clothes hit clothes uh basically
36:44different you know things that I need to
36:45get rid of later not not the same kind
36:47of clothes that I had on I I don't what
36:50other better wor use it crime clothes or
36:53hit clothes I just called them hit
36:56clothes uh anyway I walked from my car
36:59as a telephone repairman as I walked
37:02there I Dawn the telephone helmet I had
37:04a briefcase went to one other address
37:07just to kind of size up the house I'd
37:08walk by it a couple times but I wanted
37:10to check it a little bit more as I
37:12approached it I could hear a piano
37:14sound and uh went to this other door
37:17knocked on him and told him I was that
37:18we were recently working on Telephone
37:20repairs in the
37:21area and and went to her went to her and
37:24knocked in the door and asked her if I
37:26could come check her telephone lines
37:27side did she allow you in yes she did
37:30what happened then I went over and found
37:32out where the telephone was uh simulated
37:34that I was checking the telephone I had
37:36a make believe leave instrument and uh
37:40after she was looking away I I drew a
37:42pistol at her and ask her if she'd go
37:44back to the bedroom with me was this the
37:46same 357 Magnum you'd use no this this
37:49was a different one pistol are you asked
37:52her to go back to the bedroom with you
37:54after drawing a pistol on yes sir what
37:56happened then
37:58uh I told her we went back to the
37:59bedroom I told her I was going to have
38:00to tire up she was very upset and I
38:05think we I used some material that was
38:08in that's another thing not sure but I
38:11think I used the material that they had
38:13in their bedroom and after I tied her
38:16hands uh she broke that and we started
38:18fighting and we fought quite a bit back
38:20and forth all right she was physically
38:23fighting you oh yeah yes sir M what
38:25happened then uh finally got the hand on
38:27her and got a a nylon sock and started
38:30strangling so you wrapped the stocking
38:32around her neck yes M what happened then
38:35I finally gained the gained on her and
38:37and and put her down and I thought she
38:39was dead but apparently she wasn't but
38:42after after she was down and not moving
38:44anymore I rearranged her clothes a
38:47little bit and took some quick photos I
38:49think three of them I remember and then
38:52U after that I there was a lot of
38:55commotion uh she had mentioned something
38:56about her husband coming coming home uh
38:59so I got out there pretty quick the dogs
39:00were raising a lot of cane in the back
39:03the doors the windows were all open to
39:04the house a lot of noise when we were
39:06fighting so I left pretty quickly after
39:08that but everything the briefcase and
39:09had her I'd already gone through her uh
39:11purse and got the keys to the car and
39:14used her car for my getaway car all
39:16right now you indicate that you thought
39:17that she was dead did you discover later
39:19that she was not dead yes I guess the
39:21paramedics uh arrived and they tried to
39:24attempt to reli her revive her and that
39:27that failed I don't know whether she
39:28died there or on the way to the hospital
39:30or at the hospital I don't recollect but
39:32you later found out that she did die as
39:34a result of your strangulation
39:37yes now sir let's turn to count 10 in
39:42that count it's claimed that honor about
39:44the 18th day of January 1991 to the 19th
39:48day of January 1991 in the county of SED
39:52state of Kansas that you did then and
39:54there unlawfully kill a human being that
39:56being Loris E Davis maliciously
40:00willfully deliberately and with
40:02premeditation by strangulation
40:04inflicting injuries from which the said
40:06Dolores E Davis did die on January 19th
40:111991 Mr Raider please tell me what you
40:14did here in CED County Kansas on that
40:16day that makes you believe you're guilty
40:18now that particular day I had some
40:20commitments I left those uh went to one
40:24place changed my clothes went to another
40:27Place uh parked my car finally made
40:30arrangements on my hit kit my clothes
40:33and then walked to that
40:35residence U after spending some time at
40:39that residence uh it was very cold at
40:41night uh had reservations about going in
40:45I I had cased the place before and I
40:47really couldn't figure out how to get in
40:48and she was in the house so I finally
40:51just uh selected a a concrete block and
40:54threw it through the plate glass window
40:56on the East and came on in all where is
40:58this residence located it's on Hillside
41:01but I couldn't give the address I know
41:03it's probably 61 probably 62 something
41:05oh 62 something north or south north
41:09north Hillside all right so you used a
41:11concrete block to break the window mhm
41:14PL glass window patio door mhm what
41:16happened then um noise I just went in uh
41:20she came out of the bedroom and thought
41:21that a car had hit her house and I told
41:24her that I was uh I used the the roofs
41:26of the
41:27wanted I was on the run I need food car
41:31warmth warm up and and I asked her
41:35handcuffed her and kind of talked to her
41:37told her that I would like to get some
41:39food get her keys her car and kind of
41:43rest assured you know W talked with her
41:45a little bit calmed her down a little
41:47bit and and then eventually I checked uh
41:51I think she was still handcuffed I uh
41:54went back and checked out where the car
41:56was uh
41:58simulated getting some food odds and
42:00ends in the house that iica was leaving
42:02they went back and removed her handcuffs
42:05and and then tied her up and then and
42:09then eventually strangled her or you say
42:12eventually strangled her well after I
42:14tied her up I went through some things
42:16in the room there and then and then
42:17strangled
42:19her you said you went through where you
42:21looking for something M well some
42:23personal items yes I took some personal
42:25items from there did you take personal
42:26it in every one of these incidents uh I
42:30did on the
42:32Hedge uh I don't remember anything of
42:36Vicky's
42:37place we have CHS we got the watch in
42:39the
42:40radio I don't think I did any
42:44brights uh ban no I don't think so Fox
42:47yes I picked some things from Fox was
42:49hit and miss all right but probably if
42:52it if it was control situation where I
42:54had more time I took something but if it
42:57if it was a confusion and other things I
42:59didn't as I was trying to get out of
43:01there all right so in regard to the
43:03Davis matter you went around the room
43:05took a few personal things what did you
43:07do then uh strangled her what did you
43:10strangle her with peny holes right what
43:12happened then um kind of like Mrs hedge
43:16uh I already figured out my I had a you
43:19know plan on leaving and put her in the
43:21blanket and drove her to the car and put
43:23her in the trunk of the car so you were
43:25able to strangle her to death with these
43:27pan H yes sir all right you put her in
43:29your car her car car her car the trunk
43:32or her car what happened then
43:35uh I really had a commitment I needed to
43:38go to so I moved her to one spot took
43:42her out of her car this gets
43:46complicated then the stuff I had clothes
43:50gun whatever I took that to another spot
43:53in her car dumped that off
43:58okay then took her car back to her
44:01house
44:03U left that let me think
44:09now okay in the
44:12interim I took her car back to her house
44:14in interim I realized that I had lost
44:16one of my guns I dropped it somewhere so
44:19I was he thought trying to figure out
44:21where my gun was so I went back in the
44:23house realized I had dropped it when I
44:25went in the when I broke the plate glass
44:26window it dropped and fell on the floor
44:28right there and I found it right there
44:30so that solved that problem anyway I
44:31went back out uh threw the keys checked
44:34the car real quick like and threw the
44:36keys up on top of the roof of her house
44:39walked from her car back to my car took
44:43my car drove it back and I either
44:47dropped more stuff off or I picked her
44:50up and put them in my car and then I
44:52drove up uh Northeast of SED County and
44:56dropped her off underneath the
44:58bridge all
45:00right so all of these incidents these 10
45:04counts occurred because you wanted to
45:07satisfy a sexual fantasy is that correct
45:11yes do any party desire any further
45:15matters to be put on the record at this
