- 0:02ABBY: Previously on "Dance Moms."
- 0:03Please welcome Peyton.
- 0:04And the trio is going to be Chloe, Maddie, and Kendall.
- 0:08I don't think she's replacing Peyton.
- 0:10She just did.
- 0:11Getting on top of that pyramid is one thing.
- 0:13Staying there's another.
- 0:15If you're in that age category, I
- 0:16want you to win that age category.
- 0:17I thought that I was better than the most of the people
- 0:19for--
- 0:20You thought you were better than most
- 0:21of the people in this group?
- 0:22Oh, that's cocky.
- 0:23You're gonna kick her off to the curb?
- 0:24She came in here, had this snotty little attitude,
- 0:27and you back her up.
- 0:29Coming up on "Dance Moms."
- 0:31I was wondering if I could come back to dance.
- 0:33It's just not that easy.
- 0:34I don't want small parts.
- 0:35I want big parts for my kid.
- 0:37We're off probation.
- 0:38Oh, get in line, girlfriend.
- 0:39Get in line.
- 0:40When can Kendall have a solo?
- 0:41When can Kendall be more?
- 0:43You need to tell your mother to knock it off.
- 0:44She's going to get you in trouble.
- 0:46This is about Chloe always being second.
- 0:48Chloe is not second.
- 0:50You better not say that again.
- 0:52I cannot stand this bickering.
- 0:54If I have to lose somebody on this team
- 0:56to make it a cohesive group, I will do that.
- 0:59[THEME SONG - NIKKO LOWE, "LIVING ON THE DANCE FLOOR"]
- 1:01(SINGING) Get up.
- 1:03Get on the floor.
- 1:05My world is with my girls.
- 1:08Living on the dance floor.
- 1:10[music playing]
- 1:14BROOKE: Goodbye.
- 1:15KELLY: Bye.
- 1:16I invited Miss Abby to come out with me so I can tell her
- 1:19that I want to come back to dance.
- 1:21Cheerleading just wasn't my thing.
- 1:24Abby was really upset.
- 1:26I don't know if she's going to take me back.
- 1:28But I hope she does.
- 1:29So.
- 1:31Um, I tried cheerleading.
- 1:36And I was wondering if I could come back to dance.
- 1:39It's just not that easy, Brooke.
- 1:41You stab everybody in the back.
- 1:43You slap me in the face.
- 1:44She should have opened her mouth and said, let somebody else
- 1:46be at the top of the pyramid.
- 1:47She's screwing me.
- 1:48I can feel it.
- 1:50I just wanted to try it out to make sure dance is what
- 1:52I wanted to do.
- 1:53What my problem with that was that you didn't speak up
- 1:56and say something ahead of time.
- 1:59And I mean, you just didn't show up.
- 2:01You let a lot of people down.
- 2:05You let me down.
- 2:06I'm very torn about this decision.
- 2:08She let the team down.
- 2:09She has lost trust.
- 2:10And Brooke broke my heart.
- 2:12My biggest disappointment I think,
- 2:14too, would be that you just didn't want to dance.
- 2:18You have a God-given talent.
- 2:20Don't throw it away, honey.
- 2:22Brooke was born to dance.
- 2:23And I have invested my time and my energy into this kid.
- 2:28For it to go unnoticed and just disappear,
- 2:33I'm not going to let that happen.
- 2:34I think you have a lot to offer to the team.
- 2:36You're going to have to really prove yourself.
- 2:39Abby finally said she would be glad to have me back
- 2:41in the Abby Lee Dance Company.
- 2:43I was very happy.
- 2:45And I'm never going to let her down again.
- 2:47[music playing]
- 2:51Girls, come on.
- 2:52Let's go.
- 2:53Moms, in here.
- 2:55At this time, I would like to officially welcome Kendall.
- 2:58You're a member of the Abby Lee Dance Company.
- 3:00Here you go.
- 3:02[applause]
- 3:02I took Kendall off probation.
- 3:04She proved herself in the group.
- 3:06She proved herself in the trio.
- 3:07But you always have to keep proving yourself with me.
- 3:10It's not a matter of here's your jacket, kid,
- 3:12you're in for the rest of your life.
- 3:13No way.
- 3:14Now, listen to me.
- 3:16This doesn't mean it's smooth sailing from here on out.
- 3:19It means you really have to work hard.
- 3:21I'm not worried that Kendall is off probation because I'm
- 3:25just very confident in Peyton, that she's going to really pull
- 3:28through and she's going to show Abby that she's a good dancer
- 3:31and that she's a great performer.
- 3:32When you're wearing that jacket,
- 3:34she can't be all hunched over and slouching.
- 3:36So if you see that, Mom, you take a thumbtack
- 3:39and you stick it right between her shoulder blades.
- 3:41Apparently the greatest thing that's ever happened
- 3:43in Jill's life is that Kendall is off probation because she
- 3:45was just grins from ear-to-ear.
- 3:47She was like the Cheshire cat.
- 3:49We are going to Starbound Competition in Long Island, New
- 3:53York.
- 3:54And I'll tell you what, they are ready for us.
- 3:57They want to beat the Abby Lee Dance Company.
- 3:59And they are serious.
- 4:02They're like sharks in the water.
- 4:03They can taste the blood.
- 4:05I'm not nervous because I know I can be as good as them.
- 4:08All right, now, Mackenzie, you did well with your solo
- 4:12the last time.
- 4:14You need to do even better this time.
- 4:17Mia, chosen for a special part.
- 4:19Your mom didn't want you to do it.
- 4:21Not a lot to say.
- 4:22Next, Paige.
- 4:24You didn't do a solo.
- 4:25You didn't do a duet or trio.
- 4:27So there wasn't a lot to judge you on.
- 4:30Kendall, you're off probation.
- 4:32You're a member of the team.
- 4:34However, we need to fix the feet, the turn out,
- 4:38the back of the knees.
- 4:39You still have a lot of work ahead of you, honey.
- 4:41Moving on, Maddie.
- 4:44Did a great job, won your category,
- 4:48won the overall high score.
- 4:49But I have to keep challenging you.
- 4:52I know Maddie is a little disappointed
- 4:53with her spot on the pyramid.
- 4:54But I have to keep my thumb on that kid.
- 4:56She needs to work harder because it's not always
- 4:59going to be this easy.
- 5:00And next, I have Chloe.
- 5:07We're going to give them what they want.
- 5:08When Abby revealed the center row of the pyramid
- 5:12and it was Chloe and Maddie, I was shocked.
- 5:16I didn't think Peyton performed well enough to be
- 5:19at the top of the pyramid.
- 5:21Chloe, when you walk backstage into those wings,
- 5:23you have to walk in there with arrogance and your nose
- 5:26up in the air just like you walk in this studio every day.
- 5:29Those other girls should be afraid of you
- 5:31just because you're Chloe and you're from the Abby Lee Dance
- 5:33Company.
- 5:34And on top of the pyramid--
- 5:40GIRL: Oh!
- 5:41ABBY: --is Brooke.
- 5:43[screaming]
- 5:47Abby unveils the top of the pyramid,
- 5:49and I thought, you get them, sister, because you left,
- 5:52and you went, and you tried out for cheerleading,
- 5:54and you still made it to the top of the pyramid.
- 5:56[music playing]
- 6:00No offense to Peyton.
- 6:02But she towers over this dance team.
- 6:04She doesn't fit in with these girls.
- 6:06Now, my little Kendall fits right in perfectly.
- 6:09I know you all are wondering how could she
- 6:12be on top of the pyramid.
- 6:13Not only is she going to do a solo this week
- 6:16and not only should she win, I demand that you win.
- 6:21Peyton, we all know everyone is replaceable.
- 6:24You were not the right replacement for this group.
- 6:28You had a great experience.
- 6:30You saw the gateway to the West.
- 6:32You cannot be upset.
- 6:33She has a right to be upset, Abby.
- 6:36You dangled a carrot in front of her.
- 6:38And you just ripped it away.
- 6:39For what?
- 6:41For her daughter to just come in and take a spot as a stranger.
- 6:44And for Brooke to leave, and you take her back.
- 6:47Where is your loyalty?
- 6:48We have been so loyal to you.
- 6:50- Loyalty? - Wait a minute.
- 6:51Wait a minute.
- 6:52Yes, loyalty, Kelly.
- 6:53We have been loyal to her for 30 something years.
- 6:55We've been over this.
- 6:56She left for one week.
- 6:57She said she doesn't want to dance.
- 6:59You left the studio a long time ago.
- 7:01How dare you!
- 7:02Our history.
- 7:03Don't how dare me.
- 7:04Peyton got to go St. Louis.
- 7:05She got to be in the competition.
- 7:07Peyton was on probation.
- 7:08If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
- 7:10So you are still on probation.
- 7:13It was not about being on the team forever.
- 7:15Somehow, her mother got that all twisted in her mind.
- 7:18You know what, Abby?
- 7:19If you don't want her, we will find somebody that wants
- 7:22her to compete on their team.
- 7:23Peyton, let's go.
- 7:24You can keep your Kendall.
- 7:25And you can keep the rest of your group.
- 7:27Sometimes, you get it.
- 7:28Sometimes, you don't.
- 7:29End of story.
- 7:31Brooke, you have the solo that you must win.
- 7:34Mackenzie, you have a solo.
- 7:36The group number, high energy.
- 7:39Everybody, join us.
- 7:40Everybody on your feet.
- 7:41Everybody dancing.
- 7:43WOMAN: You have to be in this window.
- 7:44Do it again.
- 7:45I want to see perfect jetés.
- 7:46Walk, walk, jeté.
- 7:49Duh, duh, duh.
- 7:50Up.
- 7:51ABBY: This week's group number is called Avalanche.
- 7:54You know, let's just say it's about the whole world
- 7:57of cheerleading tumbling down.
- 7:59Go 1, 2, 3.
- 8:01You're at 4, 5.
- 8:03And I can't believe Leslie thought Peyton was going
- 8:05to be at the top.
- 8:05I felt bad for Peyton.
- 8:07Are you kidding me?
- 8:08Why would you feel bad for her?
- 8:09Because she's a kid.
- 8:11WOMAN: They got a great opportunity.
- 8:12She's not a baby.
- 8:13Listen, my kid was in there.
- 8:14She's eight years old.
- 8:16She was on probation.
- 8:17She had to earn her spot.
- 8:19Apparently, when Jill got off of probation,
- 8:22it was really her mouth that got off of probation.
- 8:25I am so happy that Brooke is back.
- 8:27I am, too.
- 8:28- That poor girl. - Yeah, how about that?
- 8:30And she has to win, or she's done.
- 8:31I know.
- 8:32I think Abby is being very tough on Brooke.
- 8:35I mean, she puts her to the top of the pyramid
- 8:36and says that she has to win.
- 8:39Brooke hasn't danced in two weeks.
- 8:40She has four days to learn her dance.
- 8:43I mean, how much more pressure can you put on the kid?
- 8:45There is no way Brooke--
- 8:47sorry, should have been on top of that pyramid.
- 8:50There is no way.
- 8:51You just want to be a the top, Jill.
- 8:52No.
- 8:53Now that Kendall is off probation,
- 8:54I'm not going to hold back my thoughts anymore.
- 8:57Personally, I think Maddie should have been on top
- 8:59because she won.
- 9:00Maddie also won because Abby spent all of her time
- 9:02rehearsing her number.
- 9:04She didn't rehearse the group number.
- 9:05She didn't rehearse the trio.
- 9:06The only thing she cared about was Maddie's solo.
- 9:08Sorry, Melissa, it's the truth.
- 9:09I'm calling a spade a spade.
- 9:10I have to say that I'm glad the trio didn't win.
- 9:12She's got a point.
- 9:14I knew that was coming.
- 9:15I have to say, I'm very happy that that trio didn't win.
- 9:19The trio really didn't work well together.
- 9:21And if they had just one more week,
- 9:23I guarantee it would win the next time out.
- 9:25Kendall can do everything that those girls are doing.
- 9:27I'm disappointed that Kendall does not have a special part.
- 9:31Go.
- 9:35Maddie, you do it wrong.
- 9:37There's a hierarchy.
- 9:38There's a top of the pyramid.
- 9:40There's a bottom.
- 9:41There are different levels of dancers.
- 9:43Oh, yeah.
- 9:44- You know that. - Yeah, well, look at Mackenzie.
- 9:45Holly, you know that.
- 9:47If you're trying to get me to say that my child is weak,
- 9:48I'm not going to say that.
- 9:50Jill has a tendency to say snide remarks about each student.
- 9:55Usually, it's Nia.
- 9:56It is very evident to me that she
- 9:57sees Nia as a-- as the weak link,
- 9:59that she does not think she's a particularly strong dancer.
- 10:02And I don't care what Jill says.
- 10:04It doesn't matter what you say up here.
- 10:06What matters is what happens on stage.
- 10:08Absolutely, I agree with you 100%.
- 10:09Put your money where your mouth is.
- 10:11I have no problem with that.
- 10:12Oh, put your money where your mouth is, what's that mean?
- 10:14You're going to buy her a big present?
- 10:16JILL: No, this isn't about presents.
- 10:18I think what she meant is--
- 10:20Bring it.
- 10:20I meant bring it.
- 10:22Kendall can do--
- 10:23Bring it.
- 10:23Bring your present on.
- 10:25I'm still not buying her a present.
- 10:26My kid will get there on her own.
- 10:27JILL: She will bring it.
- 10:28I think the real Jill is coming out.
- 10:30And now that she's off her probation,
- 10:33we all better watch out.
- 10:34[music playing]
- 10:40[music playing]
- 10:43Can I see what we have?
- 10:44Yeah.
- 10:45Let's get through it.
- 10:46This week, Brooke has another acrobatic solo.
- 10:49The title is Starry Night.
- 10:50Dun, dun, dun, stick.
- 10:53Dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun.
- 10:57It's kind of a space age theme.
- 10:59She portrays an alien from another planet,
- 11:02kind of like her mother.
- 11:04All right, can we try that?
- 11:06Cabriole, step, flick, flick.
- 11:07Run, run, push, push.
- 11:09It's imperative that Brooke do well this week.
- 11:12She is on top of that pyramid.
- 11:14She's the oldest member of the group.
- 11:16She is the role model.
- 11:18And she came back with two weeks off.
- 11:22Push.
- 11:23Good.
- 11:24Does she have what it takes?
- 11:26That's up to her.
- 11:28You're gonna do pike Arabian, pike Arabian, pike split
- 11:33Arabian walk over, face the back pike straddle Arabian.
- 11:38My solo this week is called The Party Starts Right Now.
- 11:41My dance this week is acro.
- 11:43I'm good at acro.
- 11:44Tuck-- ew!
- 11:47Sickled feet!
- 11:48I hate when kids sickle their feet.
- 11:50That is a big no-no.
- 11:52Look, you have to make it big.
- 11:54Go.
- 11:55Look, look.
- 11:57Chest up.
- 12:02Mackenzie is always there at the studio.
- 12:04She works hard.
- 12:06But I want Mackenzie to be where Maddie was at seven.
- 12:0910 seca and chaine and sit and golly gee.
- 12:15You've come a long way.
- 12:16You just learned a dance in 30 minutes.
- 12:21Leg out and kneel up.
- 12:231, 2, 3, 4.
- 12:26This week's group routine started out as kind of a play
- 12:31on cheerleading.
- 12:32It's fun.
- 12:33It's artistic.
- 12:34It's hot.
- 12:35Walk, strut, strut.
- 12:36Walk, walk, strut, strut.
- 12:38In the group number this week, Paige has a special part.
- 12:41She's the only one on stage when the music starts.
- 12:44And Paige is just totally thrilled
- 12:47to have a special part.
- 12:48JILL: Did Kendall do her solo yet?
- 12:49It's not big.
- 12:50It's like a small part.
- 12:51Well, I don't want small parts.
- 12:53I want big parts for my kid.
- 12:54We're off probation.
- 12:55Oh, get in line, girlfriend.
- 12:56Get in line.
- 12:58Jill was complaining because Paige had a special part
- 13:01and Kendall didn't.
- 13:02Wait in line because my daughter never has a special part.
- 13:06You've got to work your way up from a background dancer.
- 13:08I thought--
- 13:08I thought I did.
- 13:10Are you kidding me?
- 13:11That's all I have to look forward
- 13:11to is watching my kid in the back
- 13:14while Maddie and Chloe are in the front doing their thing.
- 13:17Kendall can do everything that those girls are doing.
- 13:19And I think they're thinking, well, if Kendall gets it,
- 13:22then that means one of their kids won't.
- 13:23And it's starting to bother me.
- 13:25WOMAN: You've had more than one solo.
- 13:26WOMAN: Abby always says this--
- 13:27WOMAN: And you've had a trio.
- 13:28Every kid should have something special
- 13:31to feel good about.
- 13:32Well, I think that we should just not watch anymore
- 13:35because it's really annoying listening to everybody bitch.
- 13:37You know what?
- 13:37That's my-- that my joy.
- 13:38I know you like it.
- 13:39This is my hobby, watching my kids.
- 13:40I know. I don't like to watch.
- 13:42JILL: It's what I do.
- 13:42I would never not want to watch.
- 13:44I'd rather be shopping.
- 13:45I definitely like Jill.
- 13:46I don't want her to be a doormat as everyone says I am.
- 13:49So I'm glad that she's speaking her mind.
- 13:52I've got to secure a place for Kendall.
- 13:55I can't stand to watch her in the back again and again
- 13:58and again.
- 13:59Kendall is off probation.
- 14:00I'm ready to fight for what my child deserves.
- 14:03Your backs have to be even on the floor, right?
- 14:05Like, as much weight on top--
- 14:07JILL: Do you have a minute? WOMAN: Uh-huh.
- 14:09Is the group done?
- 14:10Yes, the group's finished.
- 14:11JILL: Chloe has a special part.
- 14:12Maddie has a special part.
- 14:14Paige has a special part.
- 14:16Can I ask why Kendall doesn't have anything?
- 14:18I thought she was taken off probation.
- 14:20I just did every other person.
- 14:22JILL: I would really appreciate if you could-- something--
- 14:24Maybe not tonight, but I know we have rehearsal again
- 14:26tomorrow.
- 14:27See what you can do.
- 14:28I know you're busy.
- 14:30OK, thank you.
- 14:33What was that mother saying to you?
- 14:34Asked me why Kendall didn't have a special part
- 14:36in the dance this week.
- 14:38She did not.
- 14:39She did.
- 14:40I hope Jill doesn't become a problem.
- 14:42Maybe she didn't understand that it's inappropriate to question
- 14:45a choreographer.
- 14:47I-- I really, really hope that my daughter and her daughter
- 14:51didn't hear you talking about them to their teacher.
- 14:53I wasn't talking about them.
- 14:55Jill thinks that Kendall is the greatest dancer since Anna
- 14:59Pavlova.
- 15:00And that might have been true in her old studio.
- 15:02But you just walked into a studio
- 15:04that has a lot of talent.
- 15:06These kids don't mess around.
- 15:07[music playing]
- 15:11Holly, pick a glass and let me pour you a glass of wine.
- 15:14I thought it was a good idea to have everybody come
- 15:17to my house and have a party to welcome Brooke back
- 15:20into the group.
- 15:20HI!
- 15:25Well, the party is about to start.
- 15:28JILL: Hello!
- 15:29When Jill and Melissa walked in the door,
- 15:31the atmosphere went from like buh, buh, buh to wah, wah, wah.
- 15:35Here's to the pyramid.
- 15:37Cheers.
- 15:38Oh god.
- 15:38Look, I'm the queen.
- 15:40What was your conversation with Gianna tonight?
- 15:42I said, how come every kid in there except Nia and Kendall
- 15:46had a special part?
- 15:47I just want to clarify, Jill, that when you come in
- 15:51and you're new, then you obviously start at the bottom.
- 15:54And so you need to work your way up.
- 15:55Well, do you think I looked bad asking?
- 15:57HOLLY: I do. JILL: Really?
- 15:58I do.
- 15:59Asking for something that I'm paying for?
- 16:00Asking for something that every other kid in there had?
- 16:04But you have any long history.
- 16:05I wanted to get more with your-- for your child.
- 16:07There's a long history there, Jill, that you have no--
- 16:09I don't want to have to do something nice.
- 16:11I think Jill's gift giving is a bit ridiculous.
- 16:14Work hard the old-fashioned way.
- 16:16Don't try to bribe your way up the pyramid ladder.
- 16:20JILL: Well, let me ask you this, Christi.
- 16:22Would you do it if Abby asked you?
- 16:23No.
- 16:24- If it got you privates-- - No.
- 16:25--you want privates so badly.
- 16:27No.
- 16:28You wouldn't-- you wouldn't run tuition?
- 16:29Christi: Nope. - Or whatever.
- 16:30You know what?
- 16:31I wouldn't because Abby has asked me to--
- 16:32Well, I would. I would.
- 16:33Then you know what, Jill?
- 16:35You're just like her.
- 16:37I think that Jill and Melissa are two peas in a pod.
- 16:41I think they both are after the same thing.
- 16:45They're going to kiss Abby's ass until their daughters get
- 16:47ahead.
- 16:48But it's not me.
- 16:48It's Abby.
- 16:50You need to talk to Abby about everything.
- 16:51Melissa works at the front desk
- 16:52for free so that she can have free privates and free dance
- 16:55lessons.
- 16:55She plays a certain game.
- 16:57And we don't play that game.
- 16:59Abby doesn't do anything, Melissa.
- 17:01We know that.
- 17:02She sits there and goes, Melissa, do it.
- 17:03She's the one that's schedules it.
- 17:04When people want a private, I forward it to her.
- 17:06No.
- 17:07Melissa is Abby's friend.
- 17:10And there is the root of all the tension among the Dance Moms.
- 17:15I just think everyone should be treated fairly.
- 17:16Exactly.
- 17:18It's blatant why your daughter gets everything
- 17:19because you do everything in your power to get Maddie ahead.
- 17:23No, I don't.
- 17:24Yes, you do, Melissa.
- 17:25I don't think you should have to defend yourself--
- 17:27I don't.
- 17:28--for something Abby gives your kids.
- 17:29I don't think it's Melissa's fault that Abby likes
- 17:31her kids the best.
- 17:32Let's face it, she does.
- 17:34So her kids get the privates.
- 17:36You make sure that nobody else has a chance because
- 17:39of all the things you do.
- 17:40Oh, please.
- 17:41That is such [bleep].
- 17:42That's why I didn't want to come.
- 17:43So I'm leaving. - Go ahead.
- 17:45We knew you would leave because you deflect everything.
- 17:47I don't argue because I'm not like you.
- 17:49No, you're not, Melissa.
- 17:51And I'm not like you, thank god.
- 17:53I can't believe that Kelly is allowing this to happen.
- 17:56Is this how you throw a party?
- 17:58Get out.
- 18:00Come on, baby.
- 18:02Why do you have to get so personal about it?
- 18:06And I believe that if any one of you
- 18:08did what Melissa did and got the privates that she gets and had
- 18:11your child up top all the time, you would feel the same way she
- 18:13does.
- 18:14But we're not willing to do it.
- 18:16We're not willing to sell our soul to the devil
- 18:18to get the top of the pyramid.
- 18:19Jill is really turning this group upside down.
- 18:22And she thinks she can come in here and tell us how to be.
- 18:24Guess what?
- 18:25You can't do that.
- 18:27Hey, new girl-- - I gotta go.
- 18:28--see yourself out.
- 18:29I got to go.
- 18:30Thank you, Kelly, for your hospitality.
- 18:32You're welcome.
- 18:33It's amazing how things have changed
- 18:34once you're off probation.
- 18:35[music playing]
- 18:41[music playing]
- 18:47Hi, friend.
- 18:48Hi, honey.
- 18:49Retail therapy is the best therapy there is.
- 18:53I love to shop.
- 18:54And so does Jill.
- 18:55And I think we both wanted to vent a little bit.
- 18:57So we thought going to a new little store would be fun.
- 19:00So are you good from last night?
- 19:02I was really, really upset.
- 19:04I was, too.
- 19:05You know, I ended up storming out, too.
- 19:07She's just rude.
- 19:08It upsets me because we were supposed to have some fun.
- 19:11And they had attacked me because they're jealous
- 19:13of my nine-year-old daughter.
- 19:14And I think it's ridiculous.
- 19:15Christi screams at me all the time.
- 19:16And you know what I do.
- 19:18I just sit there.
- 19:19Christi and Kelly gang up on her because Melissa lets them.
- 19:23I'm not going to let them gang up on me.
- 19:25Jealous much?
- 19:27I think it's obvious.
- 19:29I know she will do what it takes to get her kids to the top.
- 19:32But at this point, I have no reason not to trust Melissa.
- 19:35You're coming this weekend, aren't you?
- 19:36Absolutely.
- 19:37I'm not-- they're not keeping me away.
- 19:39Don't you ever let them--
- 19:40Heck, no.
- 19:41--push you out.
- 19:43I don't love that.
- 19:45OK.
- 19:46I definitely like Jill.
- 19:47She is so much like me.
- 19:49And we definitely help each other.
- 19:52So I think it's going to be a real long friendship here.
- 19:55All right.
- 19:55OK, I'll see you later.
- 19:56Bye.
- 19:57[music playing]
- 19:58(SINGING) The party starts right now.
- 20:01Talked to my girls.
- 20:04They said they're all down.
- 20:05I wish I could be in the group dance.
- 20:07But I really like my solo a lot.
- 20:09[music playing]
- 20:10(SINGING) The party starts right now.
- 20:13The party starts right now.
- 20:15ABBY: Higher!
- 20:17Up!
- 20:19[music playing]
- 20:20(SINGING) The party starts right now.
- 20:23[applause]
- 20:28As a dance instructor, we have moments in our lives
- 20:31that make everything else make sense.
- 20:35When she nailed that routine, I just
- 20:37had a moment where this is why I do what I do.
- 20:40You made me cry.
- 20:42I made Abby cry because I did my dance really good.
- 20:45Not too many people make me cry when they dance.
- 20:48It was good.
- 20:50Go get a drink.
- 20:51She's not a little girl anymore.
- 20:53She's not a baby.
- 20:54She is now a dancer.
- 20:56I just had a moment where this is why I do what I do.
- 21:00Good, good, good, good.
- 21:02Next.
- 21:03ABBY: Brooke, let's go, babe.
- 21:04[music playing]
- 21:10Come on, Brooke.
- 21:11Take two weeks off, and you lost all that flexibility.
- 21:15I'm glad Brooke is back.
- 21:16But I'm not going to let that kid off so easy.
- 21:18Coming out of that, and you're choking.
- 21:20You have no idea what you're doing.
- 21:21Foot, top foot, don't sickle it.
- 21:23You can't be that sloppy in that land, step up.
- 21:25Yes.
- 21:26I have a lot of pressure on me this week with my solo.
- 21:29I mean, I want to be a role model.
- 21:30But I kind of just want to be me and just do my thing and dance.
- 21:35Brooke, I'm telling you what, I brought you back
- 21:37into this group.
- 21:38You should know this dance.
- 21:39And now, I'm making changes for you
- 21:40because you're running out of steam.
- 21:42This is called me using you.
- 21:45h going to go there.
- 21:46And you're going to win.
- 21:47And you're going to make everybody else
- 21:49in that acro category go, ah!
- 21:51That's what I want to see.
- 21:52Understood?
- 21:54Is she still an important member of this team?
- 21:57That's up to her performance on stage at Starbound.
- 22:00[music playing]
- 22:07And that's contemporary, right?
- 22:09So I want this not to be contemporary
- 22:10in the choreography.
- 22:12Hi.
- 22:12Can I interrupt you?
- 22:13I have a surprise for both of you.
- 22:15- For us? - Yeah.
- 22:17OK.
- 22:18I know you've been working really hard.
- 22:18Yes.
- 22:20And I want you to know that I appreciate your hard work.
- 22:21I have a surprise--
- 22:22Well, we were just in the middle--
- 22:23JILL: --in studio C.
- 22:24ABBY: Oh, it's a surprise?
- 22:24JILL: It is a surprise.
- 22:27ABBY: Whoa!
- 22:28JILL: You guys are getting personal massages.
- 22:30ABBY: Thank you so much.
- 22:32You're welcome, Abby.
- 22:33No one has ever done anything like this my whole entire life.
- 22:36I'm going to do my best to make sure that Abby gets taken
- 22:38care of.
- 22:39[music playing]
- 22:45Kendall actually came up with the idea.
- 22:47I swear to God.
- 22:48ABBY: Oh, really?
- 22:52Perfect.
- 22:54Ow.
- 22:55Jill is very congenial.
- 22:56She's given me very nice gifts.
- 22:59She's doing all the right things.
- 23:00She's playing the game.
- 23:01But it doesn't make her kid a better dancer.
- 23:04This is something we could do on a regular basis
- 23:07if you were game for it.
- 23:08Sure.
- 23:09And you know, I hope in return,
- 23:10that I am expecting good things for Kendall.
- 23:12ABBY: Absolutely.
- 23:13What is going on?
- 23:14Like, why is the studio so empty?
- 23:16HOLLY: Where is Melissa and Jill?
- 23:20Hi.
- 23:21What, were you having a private?
- 23:23No, I wish.
- 23:24I just came through.
- 23:27She's guilty.
- 23:27It doesn't pertain to you guys.
- 23:29If it's nothing, tell us.
- 23:30Just tell us if it was nothing.
- 23:38Oh.
- 23:40Abby is a really big advocate for, you know, pay me off, give
- 23:43me a gift.
- 23:44But this is taking gifting to a whole new level.
- 23:46HOLLY: That doesn't look like nothing.
- 23:47And that poor masseuse.
- 23:49Ew.
- 23:50MAN: How's that pressure, Abby?
- 23:51ABBY: Fine.
- 23:52MAN: Good.
- 23:53Did you do that?
- 23:54Well, you know what?
- 23:55You guys, it really wasn't really your business.
- 23:57Yes, I did something nice for Abby and Gianna.
- 24:00Jill is trying to buy her way up the pyramid.
- 24:04And she's trying to buy Abby's friendship instead of you
- 24:08are the new person on the team, pay your dues.
- 24:12Holly, this bothers you because you've
- 24:13been an absentee mom.
- 24:15[gasps] Let's face it.
- 24:16Let's face it.
- 24:17That is what it is.
- 24:18That is--
- 24:19And I do not need Jill to reprimand me
- 24:22about my attendance.
- 24:23I'm a grown woman.
- 24:24And I do what I need to do for my children.
- 24:27I don't need to cheat to get ahead like some people, Jill.
- 24:29- That's cheating? - Yes, that's cheating.
- 24:30Are you kidding?
- 24:31I know crazy Dance Moms, you know.
- 24:33And like, we're here.
- 24:35You know, Melissa's here.
- 24:36And Jill's, like, a whole 'nother level.
- 24:38You're acting like little bitchy school girls.
- 24:40If i came up with the idea, I would never do it.
- 24:42I can't even believe it.
- 24:43I'd never do it.
- 24:45Oh my god.
- 24:46Pot calling the kettle black, bitchy school girl.
- 24:48I think when Jill first came to our studio,
- 24:50she was taking meds.
- 24:52And I think she ran out.
- 24:53You are buying Abby and Gianna right now.
- 24:56If you guys are OK with being second or last,
- 25:00that's your choice.
- 25:01You're mad about Chloe always being second.
- 25:03Chloe is not second.
- 25:05You better not say that again.
- 25:07What-- where is Chloe?
- 25:12[music playing]
- 25:16We're going to Starbound in Long Island, New York.
- 25:20So there's going to be some tough competitors here.
- 25:23[music playing]
- 25:30Why are we going this way?
- 25:32Are we getting on the turnpike?
- 25:33If you're getting on the turnpike,
- 25:35you're going the wrong way.
- 25:37Who is?
- 25:39The GPS isn't paying you.
- 25:41Where are you going?
- 25:43So this poor guy is just doing his job.
- 25:45And all of a sudden, he sees this black cloud coming at him.
- 25:49I am Abby Lee Miller.
- 25:51When I ride on a bus somewhere, you
- 25:53listen to me, not the lady on the GPS,
- 25:55but the lady behind you in your ear.
- 25:57Oh, I should have listened to you then.
- 25:59There you go.
- 26:01I absolutely, positively, without a doubt,
- 26:04would do a better job driving this bus to Long Island, New
- 26:06York.
- 26:11Here we go.
- 26:12Brooke, you want to grab that bag?
- 26:14Paige, grab your book bag.
- 26:15Come on, guys.
- 26:17CHRISTI: We arrive at Starbound.
- 26:18And we're their national champions.
- 26:20Good to see you.
- 26:21So when we come, we better be on our A game.
- 26:23She's good.
- 26:25Abby, she's going to stretch even though she doesn't have
- 26:26a solo or much to do this week.
- 26:28She's-- she's part of the team.
- 26:30So we came.
- 26:31What?
- 26:33Well, I mean, you made her part of the team
- 26:34even though she doesn't have much going on.
- 26:36You're busy with everybody else. I'd still--
- 26:37ABBY: Well-- - --like her to have--
- 26:39Yeah.
- 26:39--to feel a part of something.
- 26:41I'm going to do what I need to do to make sure that Abby knows
- 26:44exactly what Kendall can bring to this group of dancers.
- 26:47I'm just trying to help--
- 26:48Even though you're off probation--
- 26:49--my daughter.
- 26:50--you're the new man on the totem pole.
- 26:51It's the Abby Lee Dance Company.
- 26:52If you don't like it, right.
- 26:54This is me trying to work my way up.
- 26:56ABBY: Right.
- 26:57I will do what you tell me.
- 26:58But I'm asking you, when can Kendall have a solo?
- 27:00When can Kendall be more a part of what everybody else gets
- 27:03a part of?
- 27:04You need to tell your mother to knock it off.
- 27:06She's going to get you in trouble.
- 27:08I hope that she doesn't think Kendall being off probation
- 27:12is a free for all for her to give her opinions.
- 27:15When are you going to do Kendall's head piece
- 27:17and worry about her costume?
- 27:18You're all worried about theirs.
- 27:20Let her dance.
- 27:21Brooke is one dance after Mackenzie.
- 27:23She has not run her dance with her.
- 27:24She didn't help her with the head piece.
- 27:25She didn't look at her hair.
- 27:26You know what, Kelly?
- 27:27Be happy your child has a solo.
- 27:29She didn't even come--
- 27:30Shut up.
- 27:31This kid doesn't have a solo, the same as yours.
- 27:32You did not just tell me to shut up.
- 27:34Yes.
- 27:37I don't appreciate Kelly telling me to shut up.
- 27:40You don't tell anybody to shut up.
- 27:43She has a solo.
- 27:43I got nothing.
- 27:45OK, well, last week, should I have complained because yours
- 27:46had a solo and neither one of mine did?
- 27:48JILL: You did complain.
- 27:49I'm so tired of Jill stepping in where she doesn't belong.
- 27:52It's like she never stops talking.
- 27:54Brooke was not here.
- 27:55Enough, stop.
- 27:56She came back.
- 27:57She got a solo.
- 27:58She's at the top.
- 27:59Be happy with that.
- 28:02There's no making her happy.
- 28:03She doesn't want to win. She doesn't want to win.
- 28:05WOMAN: We're used to being at the bottom.
- 28:06She doesn't want to be on the top.
- 28:08WOMAN: OK.
- 28:09ABBY: OK
- 28:12I'm looking forward to the competition this week.
- 28:14I think I'm going to do really well.
- 28:17ANNOUNCER: Judges, up next, acro.
- 28:19Get the Party Started Right Now.
- 28:20I'm comparing Mackenzie to Maddie at her age.
- 28:26Melissa is like, they're completely different.
- 28:27Well, not in my eyes.
- 28:29They're sisters. Come on.
- 28:30Step it up.
- 28:31[music playing]
- 28:33(SINGING) Talked to my girls.
- 28:35They said they're all down.
- 28:36Don't need to call the boys because they'll come around.
- 28:41Oh, I wanna have a good time.
- 28:49I'm over all the drama.
- 28:52Let's go have some fun.
- 28:55The party starts right now.
- 28:57Mackenzie is seven.
- 28:59And before, she just did it for fun.
- 29:01And now, I think she wants to really be good.
- 29:03[music playing]
- 29:04(SINGING) The party starts right now.
- 29:08The party starts right now.
- 29:11The party starts right now.
- 29:15The party starts right now.
- 29:18The party starts right now.
- 29:21[applause]
- 29:22Oh, she did so good.
- 29:24I thought Mackenzie did a great job in her solo.
- 29:26I thought she was exciting.
- 29:28She was fun to watch.
- 29:29I think she's going to win.
- 29:30[music playing]
- 29:37I have a lot of pressure on me this week with my solo.
- 29:40And I'm kind of nervous.
- 29:41But I'm going to give it my all.
- 29:43ANNOUNCER: Number 322, Starry Night.
- 29:46ABBY: She needs to prove herself to me, to the rest of the team,
- 29:50that she is 110% back on board and wants to win.
- 29:56[music playing]
- 30:54[applause]
- 30:56I'm glad I took her back.
- 30:57Was this her best performance?
- 30:59No.
- 31:00We love coming here because the talent is always amazing.
- 31:05[applause]
- 31:08Junior petite in second place.
- 31:11Come on up, number 229, My boyfriend's Back, Cassidy.
- 31:15[applause]
- 31:17Come on up, top junior petite, 323, The Party
- 31:21Starts Right Now.
- 31:23[applause]
- 31:26Who choreographed this for you?
- 31:27Abby Lee Miller.
- 31:28Bravo.
- 31:29Thank you for doing a great job today.
- 31:31Let's give it up for Mackenzie.
- 31:32I felt great when they said that the winner is me.
- 31:36I think I'm going to win a lot of competitions like Maddie.
- 31:39Woo hoo!
- 31:40Yea, baby.
- 31:41Mackenzie made me very proud today.
- 31:43I definitely think that she has jumped a big hurdle
- 31:47and is going to follow in Maddie's footsteps.
- 31:49ANNOUNCER: Our top 10 teen soloists.
- 31:53287 is the score for fourth place.
- 31:55It goes out to number 1017.
- 31:57And that is Jenna.
- 31:58Third place goes out to 322, Starry Night.
- 32:01That is Brooke, Abby Lee Dance Company.
- 32:03Come on up here.
- 32:05Abby said that Brooke had to win.
- 32:09And if Abby is not happy with it, then you know what?
- 32:12Replace her.
- 32:13Give it up, our third place teen dancer.
- 32:16I ended up getting third place with my solo instead of first.
- 32:19And I was really nervous that Abby was going to yell at me
- 32:23and tell me that I wasn't good enough for the Abby Lee Dance
- 32:25Company.
- 32:26Woo!
- 32:29Congratulations.
- 32:32Brooke, I think you did well considering that you danced two
- 32:35hours before the rest of those girls.
- 32:36Brooke rises to the occasion.
- 32:38When she knows she has to beat somebody, she dances better.
- 32:41I really think she could have won the whole day if she would
- 32:45have given 100%.
- 32:46Girls, close your midsections, tuck your derriere under.
- 32:49You keep using your legs to jump instead
- 32:51of your core, your center.
- 32:53Understood?
- 32:54Yes.
- 32:55The solos are over.
- 32:56Now, it's time for the group number.
- 32:58We have an hour to go.
- 32:59And I am not sure that they all know what they're doing.
- 33:02I'm actually going to borrow some lipstick.
- 33:04So Jill, if you would feel better if I borrow it from you,
- 33:06I will.
- 33:07Would you like me to put it on you?
- 33:08ABBY: I would love it.
- 33:20So now, Jill is going to be Abby's official makeup fixer.
- 33:23And it's going to be like putting lipstick on a pig.
- 33:25Do i need anything else, a little powder up here?
- 33:26Mm-hmm.
- 33:27Now, who's kissing whose butt?
- 33:28I would buy makeup from you.
- 33:34I watched Christi roll her eyes again and again at me.
- 33:38But I'm not sitting quietly anymore.
- 33:40And if it bothers Christi, let her eyes roll out of her head.
- 33:44I'm doing what I need to do for my child.
- 33:46Is it a full moon?
- 33:49What's going on?
- 33:52ABBY: Do this.
- 33:53All these weird things are happening.
- 33:55ABBY: Just once.
- 33:56You mean like the other night when you--
- 33:58when you badgered Melissa right out of the house and then
- 34:01kicked me out of Kelly's house?
- 34:03I didn't badger anybody.
- 34:04I was just speaking the truth.
- 34:05I did not badger anybody.
- 34:07And you know what?
- 34:08It wasn't just me. It was--
- 34:09JILL: You know what? Can I tell you--
- 34:10- Can I just speak? - Everybody, stop.
- 34:11Christi's talking.
- 34:13Be quiet, Christi, shut up.
- 34:14How do you like-- how does that feel?
- 34:15Jill, you don't let anybody speak because you never
- 34:18shut your mouth.
- 34:19Jill needs to learn that she's new on this team.
- 34:22And if she's going to make it, she better shh.
- 34:25ABBY: Hey, babe.
- 34:26Hey, we're going to rehearse in the hallway, guys.
- 34:27There's a good space out there. - Good.
- 34:28Thank you.
- 34:29Come on, guys.
- 34:30I don't know what's going on in this room.
- 34:32I'm glad the girls left because I'll tell you what,
- 34:35some of the language and the yelling, they get upset.
- 34:38They get worked up.
- 34:39And as much as you guys think that you're
- 34:41an advocate for your kids, you're sticking up for them,
- 34:44they don't want to see their mother and their teacher fight.
- 34:47I agree.
- 34:48All right, so whatever's going on in this room, fix it.
- 34:50I'm going backstage.
- 34:53Say your prayers.
- 34:54[music playing]
- 35:01[music playing]
- 35:04You are going on in 20 minutes.
- 35:07Some of these numbers, these kids
- 35:08have been working on since the middle of August.
- 35:10I talked to their teachers.
- 35:12You've had this dance for four days.
- 35:14The group didn't win last week in the overall high scores.
- 35:17And I know they want to be first.
- 35:20You guys are the national champions.
- 35:23There were all these complaints, and somebody
- 35:24didn't have a special part, and blah, blah, blah.
- 35:27This is about the group.
- 35:28It's a team.
- 35:29And when you're in a Broadway show,
- 35:31it doesn't matter if your part is this big
- 35:33or if you have one line, and when you step out
- 35:35on that stage, you own it.
- 35:37Understood?
- 35:38Let's do it.
- 35:40This week, we're doing a dance called Avalanche.
- 35:43And it's like jazzy and ganky.
- 35:45And I think that all of us are really good at that.
- 35:51I'm really happy Brooke is back.
- 35:53And I think we'll do what we do best and that is win.
- 36:01ANNOUNCER: This is number 320, Avalanche.
- 36:04[music playing]
- 36:10(SINGING) Oh, oh, oh.
- 36:16You send me a text.
- 36:18And you call my phone.
- 36:19And every time, you got to say good bye.
- 36:24You always tell me I should come alone
- 36:27and then you keep me in disguise.
- 36:32Your love is oh, oh, oh.
- 36:35Your love is-- your love is--
- 36:39I don't know if I quite got the group number because they
- 36:41came out and they were sassy.
- 36:44Then they're choking themselves.
- 36:45Did I miss the memo?
- 36:47[music playing]
- 36:48(SINGING) I cannot breathe.
- 36:50My thoughts are closing in your avalanche.
- 36:55Oh, oh, oh.
- 36:58I cannot move when you hold me.
- 37:00I want to scream.
- 37:03Oh, oh, oh.
- 37:10[applause]
- 37:12They did a very nice job.
- 37:14They could always have more energy, more attack, more
- 37:17enthusiasm.
- 37:17[music playing]
- 37:25ANNOUNCER: Top Junior groups, are you ready?
- 37:27Here we go.
- 37:28Third place today, Car Wash.
- 37:31[applause]
- 37:32I think I did really good in the group number
- 37:33because I did everything the best I could.
- 37:36And I didn't really mess anything up.
- 37:38And I think we might win.
- 37:39ANNOUNCER: Top two.
- 37:41Both of these groups are 290 or above.
- 37:44And it's not easy to get a score of 290.
- 37:46In second place today with a score of 290
- 37:48is going out to 320, Avalanche, Abby Lee Dance Company.
- 37:52Come on up, ladies.
- 37:54[applause]
- 37:55The group didn't win.
- 37:57Hey, we were in Long Island, New York.
- 37:59Those kids have soul and the heart for dance.
- 38:03Some of my kids do.
- 38:05And some of my kids don't.
- 38:07And they better get it real quick.
- 38:09Congratulations, a great score today.
- 38:11Fantastic job.
- 38:12[applause]
- 38:14Woo!
- 38:16Good job!
- 38:17Good job.
- 38:18You guys should be proud.
- 38:22This is two weeks in a row that we didn't win.
- 38:25Second is the first one to lose.
- 38:29You're the biggest loser on that stage.
- 38:31And that's not going to happen to the Abby Lee Dance Company.
- 38:34You just need to be better dancers.
- 38:35You need to out dance everybody.
- 38:37Coming in second is not losing.
- 38:39They did their best.
- 38:41And their best just wasn't good enough this day.
- 38:43I don't know.
- 38:43What did you all think?
- 38:45They did it really good.
- 38:46And their really good wasn't good enough to win.
- 38:48And that's kind of depressing.
- 38:50Next week, you either win big or lose big.
- 38:54But don't be second.
- 38:56Now that I have the kids out of here,
- 38:57I just want to make sure when I left earlier,
- 39:00I had said something about the vibe being off in here.
- 39:03There's a tension in the room.
- 39:04Something's out of sync.
- 39:06And I suspect I know what it is.
- 39:09We're not connected.
- 39:10And we're not cohesive.
- 39:11And that strain is becoming very apparent to everybody.
- 39:17Jill, you're not on probation anymore.
- 39:19I understand that.
- 39:20But earlier, it was on and on and on about how
- 39:22coming your kid's not doing something special.
- 39:24Abby Lee Miller was not put on this earth
- 39:27to make your kid feel special.
- 39:29Understood?
- 39:30It's about getting these kids to where they need to be.
- 39:33Jill doesn't know it.
- 39:34But she just put herself on probation.
- 39:37If she opens her mouth one more time
- 39:39and starts bitching about something,
- 39:41she is going to be walking right out that door, never
- 39:44to be seen or heard of again.
- 39:47I cannot stand this bickering.
- 39:50If I have to lose somebody on this team
- 39:52to make it a cohesive group, I will do that.
- 39:55Do you understand?
- 39:57Yes?
- 39:59I left a great studio.
- 40:01I was perfectly happy where I was.
- 40:03I've done nothing but try to get along.
- 40:06And they've done nothing but beat me down.
- 40:08I'm sick of it.
- 40:09I'm here to take care of Kendall.
- 40:11CHRISTI: That's fine, Jill, but--
- 40:12You guys have all this history with Abby.
- 40:14We do have a lot of history.
- 40:15JILL: You and her are the first to tell me that.
- 40:16And we are a very cohesive team.
- 40:19And we have been.
- 40:20Well, you know what?
- 40:21Maybe I don't fit in the team then.
- 40:23You can't for one second say, I understand.
- 40:26It must be hard to come in with--
- 40:28with four really strong personalities and Abby.
- 40:31You know, no one gave me or Kendall
- 40:33any credit for wanting to be a part of this team.
- 40:37And all you do is come down on me
- 40:39nonstop about anything I try to do
- 40:42to get Kendall more a part of the team and be a part of it.
- 40:45So maybe we're not a part of the team.
- 40:48They pushed me out of that door.
- 40:49But I'm not leaving.
- 40:51I'm coming back with my guns drawn.
- 40:53They're not going to shove me out anymore.
- 40:55[music playing]
