1. 0:00all right guys we finally got home after
2. 0:02being four hours on the road it is time
3. 0:05to introduce you to
4. 0:07Bella
5. 0:09say hi Bella
6. 0:12so she was a little scared on the road
7. 0:13but she didn't pee she didn't poo and
8. 0:16she didn't puke so we got ourselves a
9. 0:18winner so what we're gonna do now is I'm
10. 0:20gonna go inside I'm gonna deal with
11. 0:22Winston feed him some food and Clarita
12. 0:25is going to go to the backyard and just
13. 0:26kind of hang out with her while I'm
14. 0:28feeding Winston so let's go
15. 0:30[Music]

18. 0:59all right you can see he's clearly
19. 1:00smiling her on me he already knows I
20. 1:03know but off
21. 1:05not off
22. 1:10so she's sniffing around while Tyson is
23. 1:13feeding Winston
24. 1:15so we're going to get a little bit of
25. 1:16play time in and let her sniff around
26. 1:19get familiar with the place and we'll
27. 1:22see how she gets on

32. 1:56Winston and I went to the backyard
33. 1:58Clarita and Bella went inside the house
34. 2:00through the side door and all we did
35. 2:02outside was play for about 15 minutes
36. 2:03and I fed him and now we're just kind of
37. 2:06decompressing Clarita and Bella are in
38. 2:08the room behind me so I put Winston on
39. 2:10place with Bella's blanket just so he
40. 2:12gets used to her smell after spending
41. 2:14some time with Bella inside of the room
42. 2:16we decided to take her out and put
43. 2:17Winston inside of the crate so what's
44. 2:19going on over here is that I'm just
45. 2:21saying her name and then giving her some
46. 2:23food that way she Associates her name
47. 2:25with food now at the same time I'm
48. 2:26feeding Winston some treats because I
49. 2:28don't want any weird resource Garden
50. 2:30going on in the past Winston has
51. 2:32resource guards towards the cats now
52. 2:34it's not so bad he does it towards two
53. 2:36of them but it's not all the time so
54. 2:38he's inside of the crate for management
55. 2:39reasons and for desensitization right
56. 2:41I'm desensitizing him to the fact that
57. 2:44I'm feeding another dog in front of him
58. 2:46and so they can have a little bit of
59. 2:47interaction this next clip I'm playing a
60. 2:49little bit of a game with Winston which
61. 2:51is if you focus on me you're going to
62. 2:52get paid while Bella is watching now
63. 2:55this time we put Bella inside of the
64. 2:56crate and let Winston do his thing but
65. 2:58we are playing a game which is the
66. 2:59recall game so every time I recall you
67. 3:02you're gonna get paid
68. 3:03so the moment you've all been waiting
69. 3:06for the introduction between Bella and
70. 3:08Winston so what we're gonna do is we're
71. 3:10gonna play the original audio and the
72. 3:12clip and then afterwards I'm gonna break
73. 3:14it down
74. 3:36what's income good boy
75. 3:39[Music]
76. 4:03leave her
77. 4:08come on good boy this way
78. 4:13[Music]

81. 4:22the walk-up from Winston isn't bad here
82. 4:24he comes over pretty calmly and then
83. 4:26they both start wagging their tail now
84. 4:28what you'll see over here is that Bella
85. 4:30stops wagging her tail and starts to
86. 4:32look uncomfortable she looks a way to
87. 4:34disengage she gives a whale eye and then
88. 4:36lifts her paw up to show that she is in
89. 4:38discomfort she lifts her pop for a
90. 4:40second time and is wagging her tail but
91. 4:42she is still in discomfort now what
92. 4:44happens next is the third and final time
93. 4:46where she lifts up her paw and you can
94. 4:48really tell that she is uncomfortable in
95. 4:50the situation and Winston again is just
96. 4:52not picking up on the signals he goes
97. 4:54over her and this is where I was like
98. 4:56okay I gotta get him out of here so I
99. 4:57recall him Winston comes in way too hot
100. 5:00here but I let it slide because she is
101. 5:02wagging her tail but then again she
102. 5:04lifts her pot to show that she is
103. 5:05uncomfortable she goes back to wagging
104. 5:08her tail but you can clearly see that
105. 5:09this interaction is one-sided and I do
106. 5:12have a leash on Winston but I'm not
107. 5:13putting any pressure on it it's there
108. 5:15just in case if anything were to happen
109. 5:17this is another time where Winston
110. 5:19hovers over Bella and you can clearly
111. 5:21see she's not feeling this interaction
112. 5:23she disengages away from him and walks
113. 5:26to a corner now what happens here is
114. 5:28Winston is pursuing her and I really
115. 5:30don't like this here so what I do I
116. 5:31recall him but he is not really
117. 5:33listening so that's where the leash
118. 5:35comes into play and then she comes over
119. 5:37all happy in the same direction that
120. 5:39Winston and I went so I didn't really
121. 5:41like how the introduction went it wasn't
122. 5:43horrible Winston wasn't bad but Bella
123. 5:45doesn't have a lot of confidence and to
124. 5:47be fair this is pretty new to her right
125. 5:49this is her like second day with us so
126. 5:52what we did is we just went back to the
127. 5:54basics I'd put Winston back inside of
128. 5:56his crate then I'll have Bella out and
129. 5:58I'd do the same thing and put Bella
130. 5:59inside of her crate and we'll have
131. 6:01Winston now and just kind of feed them
132. 6:02and just continue this for another day
133. 6:04and then this happened Bella became much
134. 6:07more calm and confident around Winston
135. 6:09and Winston was much more neutral around
136. 6:11her it got to the point where Winston
137. 6:13would just disengage from her and
138. 6:14because of this interaction because it
139. 6:16went so well after this the next morning
140. 6:19they were playing around with each other
141. 6:20so this is really really telling for me
142. 6:23and it's telling me that she does not
143. 6:24have a lot of confidence within herself
144. 6:26so what we're going to be doing and what
145. 6:28we're primarily going to be focusing on
146. 6:30is socializing her and desensitizing her
147. 6:33to new things like new surroundings new
148. 6:35people new dogs because the last thing
149. 6:37that I want is to have Bella as a
150. 6:39fearful reactive dog I find that fearful
151. 6:42reactivity is probably worse than
152. 6:44playful reactivity right fearful
153. 6:46reactivity is kind of like they go into
154. 6:48this fight or flight mode whereas
155. 6:50playful reactivity they just want to go
156. 6:52over and play with other people and dogs
157. 6:53so by the time this video is uploaded we
158. 6:55would have had it for about a week and
159. 6:57this is where the real training is going
160. 6:59to start right we've created a bond with
161. 7:01her and she created a bond with Winston
162. 7:03but I'm going to be keeping them
163. 7:04separated for about 90 to 95 of the day
164. 7:07because I don't want any weird
165. 7:08codependency happening between the both
166. 7:10of them Winston and Bella should be
167. 7:12depending on me and Clarita not each
168. 7:14other we want all the best things to
169. 7:16come through us which is loving her
170. 7:17playing with her feeding her and just
171. 7:20even hanging out with her now once she
172. 7:22gets a bit older around maybe four five
173. 7:24six months old then I'll put them two
174. 7:27together and start training them at the
175. 7:28same time I hope you guys enjoyed the
