- 0:00And there are some of the moon walkers
- 0:01right there. That's an esteemed crowd
- 0:02that you're part of here, Alan. Not bad.
- 0:04Of course, all those are all younger
- 0:06guys. You You probably don't remember
- 0:09this, but I have the distinction of not
- 0:12only being the first American in space,
- 0:14but the oldest man who has ever walked
- 0:16on the moon. Is that right? Yeah. And
- 0:18the young guys, this to give you another
- 0:20little inside deal. Uh on the first
- 0:22three missions, we didn't have as much
- 0:24fuel in the lunar module and we had it
- 0:27was a lighter weight and so on. So we
- 0:28didn't have uh the the fancy little
- 0:31buggy. Uh we had a golf cart that we
- 0:34sort of dragged appropriate for you with
- 0:36our tool. So even today even today the
- 0:38young guys that flew after I said,
- 0:40"Well, you were 47 years old when you're
- 0:42up there on the lunar surface." And uh I
- 0:44said, "Yeah, but don't don't forget I
- 0:47was up there before you had
- 0:48automobiles." That's exactly right. So
- 0:50we had to walk.
