0:29long crime Network for TV they are all
0:32live Emily Baker everyone is live
0:34covering the trial we was just live
0:36covering the trail but to be honest it's
0:39kind of a snooze Fest right now I'm
0:41always having a hard time staying awake
0:43uh so when uh my
0:47friends alerted me that some of the
0:51footage from the interview had been
0:53released I was like let's switch gears a
0:55little bit let's go ahead let's close
0:57this out and let's go look at this
1:00footage because that's I think obviously
1:03we all want to see what this footage is
1:05about
1:07um
1:08so that's what we're gonna do let me
1:11give me just a second
1:14we're going to look at it together

1:26I'm gonna continue to cover this trial
1:28and instead of going live all day
1:33watching the trial if you guys want to
1:35watch the trial court TV lawn Network
1:37they are um airing it as well
1:40um I will do Recaps every night around 8
1:4330 central time I will put out a 15
1:46minute video that is a recap of what
1:49went down that day for anyone that does
1:51not have time to sit around and watch
1:52the pool
1:54trial um or if you like you work you
1:57don't have time or you're just not
1:59interested you tried to watch it and
2:00it's too much of a snoozefest so what I
2:02will do I will get the key points the
2:04highlights the most interesting
2:06interesting things that went on each day
2:08and I'll make a shorter version video
2:10rather than you guys having to watch a
2:12seven hour video I will watch I will
2:13make like a 10 to 15 minute video
2:15that'll be so much easier
2:17um Janie says yes I want to see how he
2:19acts and why he was a suspect to begin
2:21with yes just maybe do the last full day

3:35footage from the interview and we're
3:38gonna talk about it we're gonna watch it

3:46and then they're supposed to release
3:49redacted footage from the crime scene
3:52like body cam footage they're supposed
3:53to be releasing that so as soon as that
3:55comes out we'll be covering that as well
4:02I always thought I would love to like be
4:04in the court for like a high profile
4:05case like this but holy macaroons this
4:07showed me different
4:12I'd be the one back there the judge
4:13would be looking because I'd be snowing
4:14I'd be falling over you know what I'm
4:15saying

5:14basically worked as a liaison
5:17um between the county that they lived in

9:44thinking maybe but then I put it back

9:49um then I went to my wife and I

10:04touched them both I tried to take I mean
10:07I tried to do it as limited as possible
10:09but I try to take their pulse on both of
10:14them

10:22um pretty much right away

10:35um I told her I was going to get off the
10:37phone to call some family members

10:50called my brother Randy
10:52and I called my brother John
10:59and I tried to call the little boy real
11:02good friend that's right around the
11:03corner from here but I didn't get him
11:05okay
11:12what all was around
11:14um Paul when he walked up blood
11:18any any other anything else
11:21I mean there was some body things yes
11:23sir I mean like any other evidence I
11:26know you said the phone fell out the
11:28pocket but did you see anything else
11:30that didn't belong or shouldn't belong
11:33or that wasn't part of Paul

11:51what made you come out here at night
11:54um I went to my mom's late stage
11:56Alzheimer's patient my dad's in the
11:58hospital
12:00um my mom gets anxious when she does I
12:04went to check on them and Maggie
12:07Maggie's a dog lover and she fools with
12:09the dogs
12:10and I knew she'd gone to the kennel I
12:14was at the house
12:15I left the house and went to my mom's
12:20for just a little while
12:22tried to call her when I left texted her
12:25no response
12:28um
12:34when I got back to the house the house
12:36was obviously nobody was in there so I
12:39figured they're still up here fooling
12:41around Paul was
12:42going to be getting set up to plant our
12:45sunflowers seeds got sprayed and died
12:48and he was refiguring to do to plant the
12:52sunflower seeds so I came back up here
12:56and I drove up and saw
13:02and called
13:10had Maggie and Paul been arguing over
13:12anything no
13:13what was their relationship like
13:15wonderful wonderful
13:17how about yours and Maggie's wonderful
13:20I mean I'm sure we had little things
13:22here and there but we had a wonderful
13:24marriage wonderful relationship
13:27and yours and Paul's relationship
13:29as good as it could be

14:32Paul was in a boat wreck a couple years
14:35ago and there's been a
14:39you know he was charged with being
14:41arrested for being a driver there's been
14:44a lot of negative publicity about that
14:46and there's been a lot of people online
14:49just really vile stuff but when Paul's
14:53out and about I mean people routinely
14:57I don't think I know the full story
14:59um because I don't think they give it to
15:02me but I mean he's been punched and hit
15:05and just attacked a lot so
15:09you know but I mean nothing like this
15:12yeah any any one person in particular or
15:16group of people
15:19I don't know that you could think of
15:22not that I know no sir
15:25has he ever other than being assaulted
15:27has he received any direct threats
15:29related to the boat accident oh yes
15:33all the time he gets recently
15:36um yes I mean he gets them all the time
15:39okay he gets them all the time
15:44what kind of I mean
15:46I'm gonna kick your ass you know
15:52I've never been privy firsthand you know
15:56um
15:56is that through social media or no ma'am
15:59it's mostly like if if he goes out
16:02places is what
16:04you know what he goes out like somewhere
16:07he's in college so if he goes out
16:10is what I understand and I can find out
16:13better details from some of his younger
16:15friends on that
16:17who's his best friend um
16:21his best friend in Colombia is is um

18:31been working with him a lot he killed
18:33the sunflower seeds in our dove field
18:35just recently which is why Paul was here
18:37doing this he told Paul a story the
18:40other day about how when he was in high
18:43school
18:44he got in a fight with some black guys
18:47and FBI undercover team observed him
18:51fighting those guys and put him on an
18:55undercover team with three Navy Seals
18:57and their job was to kill radical Black
19:01Panthers and they did that from Myrtle
19:03Beach to Savannah
19:06now I
19:10you know
19:12is probably the person but
19:16that's just so freaking yeah that's kind
19:19of far-fetched story but he was off
19:22today okay he took his daddy to the
19:24doctor
19:26what's his name C.B Rowe
19:29r-o-w-e yeah and I sent him a message to
19:32text me earlier today
19:35about the sunflowers and he called me
19:37back when I was on the way to my mom's
19:40house
19:42did you talk to him at that time briefly
19:44I was on the phone with a lawyer friend
19:46of mine named Chris Wilson from Bamberg
19:49so I told him I'd call him back tomorrow
19:51see him in the morning
19:53when you briefly talk to
19:55um Mr Rowe what was his demeanor or
19:57attitude or
20:04about the sunflowers and so
20:07you know I mean
20:10I'm sure he's a little bit
20:13where does he live I don't exactly know
20:16somewhere in blood I mean in Bronson
20:17okay
20:19do you have his phone number I do
20:23you got it with your voice sir I do
20:29you know but I do think him and Paul got
20:31along pretty well

20:36that's just really
20:38really weird

22:48but for all his weirdness I mean I do

23:01three or four pay periods so

23:07eight weeks a couple months okay

23:28really have a hard on for Paul
23:31that you would think would come after
23:33him or know of any direct threats from
23:36people on the boat
23:37I don't know of any
23:39direct threats between any of the people
23:42on the boat okay specifically but I do
23:45think there's been a
23:46small amount of Yip Yap between a couple
23:50of them but not recently okay
23:54stuff from people that Paul didn't
23:57really know okay
23:59that was some people that he knew
24:01distantly but
24:03more times than not when I learned about
24:06it
24:07it was somebody that he didn't know
24:12um it's like for example he went out in
24:14Charleston a couple months ago came back
24:16you know he got a black eye and you know
24:20he can't defend himself right now
24:21because he has
24:22these charges so you know he would pause
24:25a real tough man's man you know he would
24:29just
24:33he would defend himself but he hadn't
24:35been that's right but
24:41as far as what how was he handling it
24:44I've never been prouder of him than the
24:47way he has handled the pressures and the
24:50adversity
24:51in that situation I think I've told

25:05wonderful kid
25:08you can do almost anything he gets along
25:10with almost anybody
25:16store any weapons out here
25:19um we don't store them but they're
25:22they're you know they're frequently out
25:24here I need to find out if there were

25:28I know there was a shotgun there was a
25:3012 gauge shotgun out here
25:32uh
25:34I'll have to find out exactly when that
25:37was
25:39think it got put up
25:41but I'm not positive what did that
25:43shotgun look like
25:45uh it was a
25:48camouflage
25:50no
25:54I want to say it was a Benelli or maybe
25:56a Beretta I can't remember which brand
25:58it is
26:06but I don't think it was out here okay
26:08recently
26:12but I'm not positive and the shotgun
26:15that you had when deputies pulled up
26:17where did that come come from I went to
26:19the house and I got a gun
26:22probably overreacting but
26:25and was that when you pulled up and saw
26:27them no I mean I came out and me and I
26:31called 9-1-1 first
26:34talked to them for a little while and
26:36then I told her
26:40I told her that I was
26:42that I was going to go to the house okay
26:44and then I would let authorities know
26:45when they got here that I had a gun okay
26:52do you happen to have a list of all your
26:54guns I can make one I don't have one but
26:56I can make one okay well I'm just saying
26:59you know so we could compare if that
27:00shotgun was out here and now it's
27:02missing absolutely
27:04um trying to figure that out no
27:06absolutely and I know living out here in
27:08the country you probably have more than
27:09one or two we do we probably have
27:1120 25

27:55brother and he was coming home to deal

28:19I rode around looking at everything for
28:21a good little while probably

28:27um Maggie had things she did in
28:30Charleston and
28:33um she had a doctor's appointment in
28:36Charleston and she got back here it was
28:40fairly late
28:43was it dark yet when Paul got home no
28:46Paul got home early early okay
28:48for dinner time
28:50oh yes ma'am lunch time
28:57what brother what um brother does Paul
29:00work for John Marvin
29:02and what does Paul do for him everything
29:05just handyman yes sir
29:18was it unusual for Maggie to feed the
29:20dogs this time of night or check on them
29:22oh no I mean she played with those dogs
29:25every
29:26all the time and it's especially common
29:28for her to you know she's been gone for
29:33a while to come and let
29:35especially two of them out to run
29:38okay so she pretty regularly comes out
29:41here in the evenings
29:43very regularly okay she comes out here a
29:45lot
29:52you have any cameras on your property I
29:55have deer cameras but none
29:57you know
29:58around up here
30:02where are they at on on different deer
30:05stands okay
30:07okay well not necessarily deep in the
30:10woods some of them are in fields and
30:12okay
30:13um but I don't there's none that
30:16you know are near here okay
30:22um what doctor's appointment
30:24my daughter's magazine today
30:29um I forget the guy's name Maggie's been
30:31having trouble with her
30:33she's been having trouble with her
30:35stomach and her tooth I'm not positive
30:37it was sort of a routine
30:41visit and I can't remember
30:44she told me the name of him and I can't
30:47I want to say Gordon gordine Gordon okay
30:51is um who I think she saw
30:59was she back home around suppertime
31:02or
31:03um or
31:04six o'clock seven o'clock
31:08I don't think she got back quite that
31:10early I think she got back a little bit
31:12later than that okay
31:16um
31:22what did you do today were you in the
31:25office or no I was home I came home Paul
31:27and I messed around I
31:30I uh I was up at the house I laid down
31:34took a nap on the couch probably
31:37I don't know 25 30 minutes
31:41I got up I called Maggie
31:44didn't get an answer
31:46and
31:47I left to go to my mom's and she had
31:51said she might ride with me but she
31:53normally does it when I go over there
31:57um
31:58and
32:00I think I texted her
32:05and she's very good about answering the
32:07phone so that was odd or calling me back
32:09so that was odd but it wasn't that big a
32:12deal
32:14I don't know what time was that
32:16what time was what that you sent her a
32:19text
32:34all right
32:36um I checked texted her at 908 going to
32:39check on M be right back and then I
32:41texted her at 9 47 that must be when I
32:44started to come back I think I called
32:47her before that
32:49but let me make sure
32:54pretty sure that I called her

36:12is okay it was for dove hunting yes it
36:14was for dove hunting and Southern
36:16Charmers said it was illegal
36:22yeah
36:25candy like what I don't want a broken
36:27alone is eight zero three

36:38and John's John Mormons eight four three
36:42two one five five zero eight
36:52and you said your dad's in the hospital
36:54yes sir which hospital Charleston or
36:58Savannah and Saint Joseph cj1 okay or
37:02what's uh he's having a really really
37:05hard time he's got a lot a lot a lot a

37:16he's doing okay giving everything but
37:18he's got a lot going on
37:24about Maggie's family where are they

37:31and contacted yes I had my brother call

37:35um the wife of his sister and I mean the
37:39husband of Maggie's sister so that they
37:42could go and tell Maggie's parents I
37:46felt like they needed to hear it in
37:48person and they're going there and
37:50calling me
37:52so they must not be there yet
37:55Maggie's parents in Somerville yes and
37:58she her mom just had a knee replacement
38:00surgery and her dad really
38:03has trouble getting around nowadays
38:09you have any other children I do I have
38:11a 24 year old that's right you said
38:13what's his name Buster well Richard

38:19he goes by Buster he goes by Buster

39:15with everything okay so it was kind of
39:17routine for him to be out here as well
39:20this place is his absolute passion okay
39:38I tried to turn him and then I tried and
39:40then I checked him and I I mean I
39:44I think I already knew but I checked
39:46them
39:50and when you pulled first pulled into
39:52the property did you come from this
39:54direction where all our police cars are
39:56or which way did you come in I went to
39:58the house okay and then I came from the
40:00house this way straight here yes ma'am

40:03I mean where my vehicle was parked it's
40:06probably is where it was okay well no
40:09maybe not exactly but it was
40:12pretty close because I came back the
40:14same route that's right because you went
40:15back to get your shotgun when I came

40:33his hand um I can't think of anything
40:35else right now but you know we'll

48:25I left the house and went to my mom's

48:49figured they're still up here fooling

48:52um going to be getting set up to plant

48:57died and he was refiguring to do to

49:04back up here
49:05and I drove up and saw
49:11and called
49:19had Maggie and Paul been arguing over
49:21anything no
49:23what was their relationship like

51:11me but I mean he's been punched and hit
51:14and just attacked a lot so
51:17you know but I mean nothing like this
51:21yeah any any one person in particular or
51:25group of people
51:29that you could think of
51:31not that I know no sir
51:34other than being assaulted has he
51:36received any direct threats related to
51:39the boat accident oh yes
51:42all the time he gets recently

52:25call came in I think they started to
52:27kind of suspect that maybe he might have

52:34um in the beginning of this he said when
52:36I came back so was he there before yes
52:37this was their house they have this is
52:39like their Camp house or something
52:42um that they were staying at so he was
52:44there they ate dinner he says he took a
52:46nap he left to go visit his parents or
52:47his mom and when he came back he claims
52:52he walked up on this you know you can
52:54find out better details from some of his
52:56younger friends on that

55:36fighting those guys and put him on an
55:40undercover team with three Navy Seals
55:43and their job was to kill radical Black
55:46Panthers and they did that from Myrtle
55:49Beach to Savannah
55:51now I really don't think this guy

55:57is probably the person but
56:01that's just so freaking yeah that's kind
56:04of far-fetched but he was off today
56:08he took his daddy to the doctor

56:22back when I was on the way to my mom's

1:00:53distantly but
1:00:55more times than not when I learned about

1:00:58it was somebody that he didn't know
1:01:04um it's like for example he went out in
1:01:06Charleston a couple months ago came back
1:01:08you know he got a black eye and you know
1:01:12he can't defend himself right now
1:01:13because he has
1:01:14these charges so you know he would pause
1:01:17a real tough
1:01:19man's man you know he would just
1:01:25he would defend himself but he hadn't
1:01:27been that's right but
1:01:33as far as what how was he handling it
1:01:36I've never been prouder of him than the
1:01:39way he has handled the pressures and the
1:01:42adversity
1:01:43in that situation I think I've told

1:05:27fairly late
1:05:30is it dark yet when Paul got home no
1:05:34Paul got home early early okay so before
1:05:36our dinner time
1:05:38oh yes ma'am lunch time

1:05:50and what does Paul do for him everything

1:08:55phone so that was odd or calling me back
1:08:57so that was odd but it wasn't that big a

1:18:45everybody deserves one things are not
1:18:47always the way that they seem you can't
1:18:48judge a book by its cover when I was
1:18:50arrested I looked guilty as Sam looked
1:18:53so guilty and I wasn't okay so I want to
1:18:55try to you know give that Grace to
1:18:58everyone else
1:18:59um to say that not everyone acts the
1:19:01same when their family members die if I
1:19:03walked up on my husband and one of our
1:19:06children I I wouldn't even be able to

1:19:36it next to the bodies show him where he
1:19:38was over there trying to flip it flip

1:19:49where you can see his shoes
1:19:53like there's always clothes

1:21:24over my thing is I think he should have
1:21:26been able to physically flip him over
1:21:27like I know dead weight is heavy but I
1:21:30don't know he looked pretty thick
1:21:34how do you have zero blood on you after
1:21:35checking them no it doesn't make sense
1:21:37exactly so I remember one time I went to
1:21:39a mud ride and it was raining uh we
1:21:42wasn't expecting it to be raining but it
1:21:44started raining so we went to like a
1:21:47Walmart in the area and we bought these
1:21:48full body raincoats and so you step into
1:21:52them like boom
1:21:55boom
1:21:57shimmy up boom boom and you zip and it
1:22:01had a hood right now your face was
1:22:03exposed but you could easily get their
1:22:06Hunters they my husband used to hunt he
1:22:09does it anymore but we still have those
1:22:11things that you put all the way over
1:22:12your face where the only thing that you
1:22:13could see is your eyes
1:22:16you have a second so this would
1:22:19literally protect his whole body I mean
1:22:21your hands broke out your face is
1:22:24exposed it covers your feet
1:22:26um but he could have gloves you know so
1:22:29I think it was something like that if
1:22:30you did in fact do it he hurried up ran
1:22:33back to the house took it all off went
1:22:35and disposed of it when he was on his
1:22:36way to his mom's house
1:22:38and um
1:22:40they say that he did
1:22:43a week later show up at his mom's house
1:22:46and put a raincoat up somewhere and that
1:22:48raincoat did test positive for
1:22:51um gunpowder residue that's what the
1:22:53prosecution is saying so maybe
1:22:56he wore that raincoat that night at some
1:22:59time I don't know
1:23:01um
1:23:02right he would have some blood and I
1:23:05don't understand
1:23:06if obviously it's going to live yeah
1:23:08people why yeah
1:23:11um well I've seen people comment about
1:23:12that you know
1:23:14all of the officers said
1:23:16there was no chance they were alive like
1:23:19there was a clear hole
1:23:22in Maggie's head you could see straight
1:23:25through it basically
1:23:26um they said that Paul his head was
1:23:30exploded like a watermelon and that
1:23:32there was brain matter like lay him
1:23:34aside his brain was basically laying
1:23:36beside him
1:23:37um but I I have had a lot of people say
1:23:41um but when it's your loved one you just
1:23:43want to double check like even if it's
1:23:45like completely obvious you're still
1:23:46like are they though
1:23:48like are they
1:23:50um so I could kind of see that maybe
1:23:53still just kind of being in a state of
1:23:54denial like needing that confirmation
1:23:56even though you know it like you know it
1:23:58like there's no
1:23:59there's no way though
1:24:00um so that could kind of I could kind of
1:24:02see that
1:24:03um
1:24:04he would have a motive so he had been
1:24:07busted and confronted by his
1:24:12um
1:24:12Law Firm for embezzling money
1:24:15um upwards of like eight million dollars
1:24:17so what he would do is he would
1:24:18represent people and win them lawsuits
1:24:21and then take way more money than he was
1:24:24supposed to take like way more than his
1:24:26portion of the proceeds from the lawsuit
1:24:29um he had a made that like passed away
1:24:32that was working for him for my
1:24:33understanding and
1:24:36he convinced the maid's family to sue
1:24:39his insurance
1:24:41because she died like on their watch
1:24:43like at his house or something I don't
1:24:45really really remember I don't know all
1:24:47the details I just this is some of the
1:24:49information that I know so like they had
1:24:50a maid she died at the house I don't
1:24:52know if she got on the stairs I don't
1:24:53know but he convinced her family to sue
1:24:56his insurance
1:24:57for a big payout so they did but then
1:25:00they never got the payout they won
1:25:01obviously you know they got they got to
1:25:03be payoff from the insurance company yes
1:25:05uh but he kept that he kept the money
1:25:08so he had just been busted for that so
1:25:11earlier when we were covering the trial
1:25:12and someone said even without these
1:25:14charges like he's going to jail he's
1:25:16looking at 700 years in jail without
1:25:18this these charges and someone was like
1:25:20what like holy crap really
1:25:23um so a lot of people think that he did
1:25:24it
1:25:25to get their insurance money to try to
1:25:28reimburse some of the money that was
1:25:29missing the misappropriation of funds or
1:25:31whatever try to put that put that money
1:25:33back in there and say and it's still at
1:25:34say I just it was here whatever
1:25:37um also the sympathy that would come
1:25:38along with it to be like well we can't
1:25:41we can't go with him right now for this
1:25:44stuff let's just leave this stuff alone
1:25:46because he's dealing with too much as it
1:25:47is
1:25:48um
1:25:50yeah they've exhumed his the maid's body
1:25:52from understanding so the
1:25:56there's you know a few a few reasons why
1:25:58people believe that he did it what's
1:26:00crazy is if he did it for this sympathy
1:26:03vote
1:26:04um and money his dad passed away like
1:26:06two or three days later
1:26:08on here we hear that his thousand
1:26:09hospital his dad passed away like two
1:26:11three days later so he could he would
1:26:12have got that sympathy vote for people
1:26:13would have been like we probably need to
1:26:15just leave him alone his dad just died
1:26:16and then I'm sure his dad probably left
1:26:19him something
1:26:22his mom had dementia so I doubt his dad
1:26:26would have left
1:26:28everything to his mom who wouldn't know
1:26:30about how to
1:26:32manage it because she had Dementia or
1:26:35Alzheimer's
1:26:37um so more than it may have went to him
1:26:39you know and he might would have had the
1:26:41money to kind of either way
1:26:44um
1:26:45I don't know like Adeline George he him
1:26:47doing it but I don't want to just say
1:26:49that he did it because I want to try to
1:26:52be open-minded to hearing everything
1:26:54play out you know and
1:26:56um giving him a chance giving it a
1:26:58chance just because because you never do
1:27:00um but we're gonna go ahead and close
1:27:01this one out you guys I'm gonna do a
1:27:03recap of what happened at today's trial

1:27:38um so anyways uh I'm not going to cover

1:27:45draining I'm sitting here like this
1:27:48you know so I'm going to get Recaps of
1:27:52what happened each day and I'm going to
1:27:54do a recap video each night around 8 30

1:27:59will be like 15 minutes long or
1:28:00something that way for you guys that
1:28:02don't want to watch a seven hour live
1:28:04stream you can watch a 15 minute video
1:28:06give you guys all the
1:28:08um high points of what happened in
1:28:12the proceedings that day
1:28:14I was just resting my eyes exactly I
1:28:16wasn't really falling asleep I was just
1:28:17my eyes needed to rest so that's what
1:28:19we're doing
1:28:21um
1:28:22so if it picks up and it gets really
1:28:25interesting then you know we might go
1:28:27live and watch together
1:28:29um Buster's supposed to testify so when
1:28:31Buster testifies we'll go live and watch
1:28:32Buster testify together I want to see
1:28:34you know what he's going to say and I'm
1:28:37very interested to see the questions
1:28:39they're going to be asking him because I
1:28:40don't know how he would even be a
1:28:41witness like I really don't know he
1:28:42wasn't there for my understanding
1:28:44um so that's the dash cam footage from
1:28:47the interview they're supposed to be
1:28:49really releasing the body cam footage
1:28:51and just redact like blur things out so
1:28:54once that becomes available I'll share
1:28:56that with you guys even though a lot of
1:28:58people I guess don't believe in showing
1:28:59body cam footage
1:29:01virtual crime channel so that's kind of
1:29:03what we do
