2. 0:03was being a bit stubborn about it I'd
3. 0:05said in interviews during the week that
4. 0:06I won't be watching it you know I think
5. 0:08I'm washing my hair that night and stuff
6. 0:10and then but I ended up watching it I
7. 0:13was a fan of Lance I don't mind
8. 0:15admitting it I was 13 when he won the
9. 0:16World title and ozlowe in Norway and
10. 0:18that inspired me and you know I my
11. 0:23teenage years through 13 16 he was you
12. 0:26know winning by traces then he got the
13. 0:28cancer then he came back and won the
14. 0:30tour in 99 19 years of age and that was
15. 0:33like wow you know the phenomenal time
16. 0:35was a 19 year old on the British track
17. 0:38squad watching this guy win the tour so
18. 0:40I you know I kind of grew up a bit of a
19. 0:42fan of him you know slightly naive as
20. 0:45most of us are when you're just fans
21. 0:46he's just looking at with the love of
22. 0:47the sport and then obviously what in
23. 0:51someone lies so convincingly for so long
24. 0:55and having gone toe-to-toe with him
25. 0:57raced with him spoken to him in races
26. 0:59and things you know there was an element
27. 1:01of this guy's pretty you know genuine
28. 1:03actually and an almost an wanting to
29. 1:07believe that you know someone that good
30. 1:09and that someone that becomes such a
31. 1:11star within our sport wouldn't lie to
32. 1:15the rest of us the riders his
33. 1:17competitiveness any other and so then
34. 1:20you know I I just wanted to watch it
35. 1:22come out of his own mouth you know and
36. 1:24so that was opening sequence of the yes
37. 1:26or no answers to watch him admit to all
38. 1:28those things was made you angry sad
39. 1:33slightly emotional with him on yourself
40. 1:35my name is Lance Armstrong I am a cancer
41. 1:39survivor I've been asked to come up here
42. 1:40and talk about my story of survivorship
43. 1:43I'm a father of five and yes I won the
44. 1:46Tour de France seven times
45. 1:48but then the anger kicks in and I raced
46. 1:52against this guy and he stopped me from
47. 1:54getting third in the Tour de France and
48. 1:55had I not won the tour that last year I
49. 1:57would never expect got to experience
50. 2:00standing on the podium on the Shaun's a
51. 2:02loser my family and everything there so
52. 2:04you know the anger starts to come in
53. 2:07them and then obviously having won the
54. 2:10Tour de France and people then looking
55. 2:14at the current winner of the Tour de
56. 2:15France and reading uneducated pieces in
57. 2:18the UK to the general public that you
58. 2:23know I saw a list of all the winners of
59. 2:25the tour and they they crossed out every
60. 2:27winner that have had problems with
61. 2:28doping and I think there was three in
62. 2:30the current generation myself SAS Turing
63. 2:32Goodell and he just didn't look good and
64. 2:35if I was at that time I was sort of
65. 2:38slightly ashamed that my name had to be
66. 2:40on this list with though many people and
67. 2:42I just that's quite sad really well I
68. 2:49can't speak for everyone else but I won
69. 2:51the world's biggest bike race and we're
70. 2:54an example of the way we raced as a team
71. 2:57last year the Tour de France obviously
72. 2:59people will point the finger because we
73. 3:01were so strong but this team from the
74. 3:04dates died has been very clear on where
75. 3:07we stand against him we've got nothing
76. 3:09to hide we were very open team and we
77. 3:12won the world's biggest bike race
