0:04got another power station for you
0:06the one that I've been most excited
0:08about that I knew was coming this year
0:11is is finally here
0:13and it fits it fits right here this is
0:17blue Eddie's
0:18eb-55 it's a 500 wattish
0:22power station
0:23this is blue Eddie's eb7ds
0:26it's a 700 ish watt hour power station
0:31then we make the jump to the blue Eddy
0:34ac200 Max
0:36this is the big boy this is 2 000 Watt
0:41hours
0:42and portable power and really the three
0:46of these plus the probably the ab3a for
0:49for smaller you know 260 watt hour power
0:52station that that would be right here
0:54but really these make up blue Eddie's
0:57lineup
0:59for what we would use
1:02for over Landing car camping you know
1:07off-road Adventures to keep our fridge
1:09running to keep all of our stuff charged
1:13phones cameras lights all that good
1:16stuff
1:17and for years
1:19there's been this one missing because
1:23you go from 700 watt hours
1:27to 2 000 Watt hours and there's been a
1:31lot of other Power Station companies
1:32that have been filling in this which is
1:35the 1 000 to 1500 watt hour segment that
1:41blue Eddie hasn't had in years they did
1:43make an older model the eb-150 that's
1:46been discontinued a couple years ago
1:48they haven't made that one in a while so
1:50there's been this void here
1:52but this is the brand new
1:57ac180
1:59it's
2:001152 Watt hours
2:04and it has an 1800 watt inverter which
2:08compared to the competition
2:10that's pretty incredible I I've been so
2:14excited I have been
2:16asking blue Eddie for a couple years now
2:19when are you going to put something in
2:21this space because when you're looking
2:23at Power stations the 500 watt hour
2:27it does really good for an overnighter
2:30you know maybe a two-nighter
2:32to to run a fridge charge all your
2:34things this is this is without having to
2:36recharge things so this is really good
2:39for a weekend
2:40and it
2:43it charges kind of slow
2:45um but it's it's a good Power Station
2:47the eb-70 you're definitely this is this
2:51is the one that I recommend if you're a
2:53weekend warrior and you're going out
2:54Friday through Sunday this is the one
2:57that I always recommend it is a great
2:59power station it's 700 watt hours it's
3:04800 watts of output so it it does really
3:07good
3:09but then he had to jump up to this one
3:10and this sucker is 60 pounds
3:13and this one is you know this one this
3:16is like for your your week-long trips
3:19um or for your for for powering your
3:21your little trailer because it's got a
3:2330 amp plug on it
3:25um this this is for most of what we do
3:28this is too much you know for just being
3:31in a vehicle if you got a small trailer
3:33this is good to have but you know for
3:36just being in your rig for a few days
3:38this is overkill like way Overkill
3:42but now there's this one the ac180 I
3:44think this is The Sweet Spot in the blue
3:48Eddie lineup to give you plenty of power
3:51for extended trips charges quickly
3:55has a few tricks up at sleeves too that
3:57I'll show you
3:59um but in the blue Eddie lineup this
4:02one's my new favorite I I love this one
4:05all right let's get into the details of
4:07this thing first
4:10the the form factor uh I think blueberry
4:13has absolutely knocked this out of the
4:15park it's it's Square it's boxy it's
4:18flat everywhere two handles built into
4:22the built into the case
4:25um it this fits in your rig you can
4:28stack things on top of it
4:30um
4:31this is the perfect form factor for a
4:33power station some form of boxiness no
4:35no weird angles no weird handles just
4:38just give us a box that that's all we
4:39need that's the best thing for being
4:41able to organize and stack and you know
4:44but and store it in our vehicles
4:48um it it of course has the standard
4:50things that you'd expect it's got four
4:53AC ports 1800 watts of power it can do
4:57more which I'll get into in a little bit
4:58for AC outputs
5:01nice big display here tells you
5:04everything you want to know amount of
5:06watts in amount of Watts out how much
5:09time is left what your battery
5:10percentage is they they basically took
5:12the screen from the eb3a and and put
5:15that in here because the eb-55 and the
5:17eb70 screens very little information
5:20enough but not a good screen blue
5:23Eddie's finally giving us a good screen
5:25so yay for that big buttons here turn on
5:28the AC turn on the DC very handy there
5:32one two three four five USB ports you
5:35know how I feel about USB ports the more
5:37the better five is
5:39okay five is okay so four USB a they're
5:44all 15 watt USB a ports and then one 100
5:48watt USBC PD Port so yay for that for
5:52the 100 watt uh usb-c port
5:56laptops all that sort of stuff charge it
5:58no problem and then of course one
6:0112 volt Barrel plug cigarette lighter
6:04style adapter here
6:06and then here is your DC input so this
6:09is where you plug in your solar panels
6:11your car charger and something else that
6:14I'll show you here in a minute that goes
6:16there if we turn it around to the side
6:18here
6:20this is where your AC charger goes just
6:23a standard computer plug Nothing Fancy
6:25no big brick all that's done inside
6:28so no big break but like most power
6:30stations on the market now all you gotta
6:33have is a power cord so that's awesome
6:35then you get a reset and this is a
6:37grounding plug I I think that's
6:39important if you're like setting this up
6:41in your house as some sort of thing I
6:43don't know I don't I've heard that's a
6:46good thing I honestly don't know
6:49um fans on both sides
6:51lots of batteries in here and a 15 watt
6:54wireless charging pad on the top I mean
6:57it's a nice flat space why waste it so
7:00Props to the props to Blue Eddie I love
7:03the fact that you can just take your
7:05phone
7:07drop it on top and then boom you got
7:11wireless charging so if you're sitting
7:13around Camp power goes out you don't you
7:16know I have to you got other things
7:18plugged in take your phone just put it
7:20on top
7:21easy
7:22works really good weight 37 pounds so
7:26not bad
7:28um you know definitely better than the
7:30big 60 pound Behemoth of the AC 200 Max
7:32but you know you got the two handles
7:34here so 37 pounds that's that's doable
7:37now let's talk about the inputs this
7:39thing can accept up to
7:421440 watts of AC input now in standard
7:47mode which is what I've been charging
7:48this at you're going to see you know a
7:50little over a thousand watts of input
7:52which still I mean you're going to have
7:54this thing fully recharged in just over
7:56an hour but if you're in a hurry you can
7:58turn this thing into turbo mode and get
8:02that 1440 watts and get this charged
8:05crazy fast like faster than any other
8:08power station in this category that I've
8:09ever seen so that's really awesome solar
8:12input 500 watts not bad very respectable
8:16so you know carry around three 200 watt
8:20panels a couple 300 watt panels and if
8:23you can get this thing recharged from
8:25zero in what three three showers a
8:29little over maybe probably a little over
8:30three hours depending on the sun and
8:32everything maybe four hours depending on
8:33on you know the sun conditions uh I have
8:37the blue Eddie pv200 I've got one of
8:40those so
8:42Sun's pretty bright today a little hazy
8:45a little overcast at times and so I I
8:48threw it out there and I was getting
8:51about 135 140 Watts out of it in these
8:57conditions which is which is fair that's
8:59that's pretty darn good it's it's not
9:01perfect conditions today
9:03and so
9:05500 watts as a solar input that's really
9:09good of course you've got your car
9:10charger you're going to max out 100
9:12watts in that so that that's just
9:14standard there's there's no way to make
9:16that better charging from the the
9:17cigarette lighter in your vehicle now
9:19one of the things that you have heard me
9:20gripe about if you've seen no other
9:21Power Station videos
9:23is with the fast charging which is
9:26fantastic I mean be able to charge it
9:28from zero to 100 and just over an hour
9:31is that is a sweet feature the downside
9:35to that is is that it requires a pure
9:38sign inverter
9:40in your vehicle if you want to even come
9:42close to being able to charge that
9:44some other power stations will let you
9:46dumb down the amount of power and you
9:48know set it to 400 watts or 200 Watts
9:51and but the inverter in my Gladiator is
9:55not a pure sign inverter so even doing
9:57that doesn't work with these things
10:00um
10:00but
10:02because
10:03blue Eddie has their their tried and
10:07true Barrel Port for DC input that's
10:11been on all of their power stations for
10:15years so what you can do is
10:18either either buy or borrow if you've
10:20got one of their other ones one of the
10:22bricks from this from another Power
10:25Station this is from the eb70s it's a
10:28it's a 200 watt
10:30power supply
10:32and so I can take this
10:34plug it in my AC port take this
10:38plug it into the DC input
10:42and
10:44now I'm charging it instead of just just
10:47100 Watts or probably more like 96 Watts
10:50plugged into the 12 volt I'm charging it
10:53at 195 Watts so I'm cutting my charge
10:57time in half by by using that instead of
11:00the 12 volt so
11:02that's awesome now with 1800 watts of
11:06output
11:07what can this run now normally I would
11:11plug a whole bunch of things into the
11:14power station
11:15to show you what it's capable of
11:18but I don't need to do that with with
11:21this one because with 1800 watts of
11:23output power
11:25it'll it'll run almost anything in the
11:29two most recent Power Station videos
11:30that I've done those power stations had
11:34800 watts of output I think one had 1200
11:38watts of output
11:40but had the technology where they could
11:42fake
11:43doing more
11:45which is great if you're you know
11:47running a hair dryer or maybe a electric
11:50coffee maker that sort of thing but if
11:52you're using that for you know
11:54Electronics like a microwave things go
11:58bad very quickly so I could not run the
12:00microwave on those power stations so if
12:04this
12:05will run the microwave
12:08it it'll it'll run anything just about
12:11anything like anything that you're going
12:12to face or potentially have at camp
12:15this thing's gonna run it so
12:20one minute
12:27pulling
12:291680 1680 1680 Watts
12:37I mean that's
12:39that says it all right there
12:41the fact that you can have a 1152 watt
12:45hour power station
12:48that can do 1800 watts of output a
12:51normal output just just normal output
12:53not
12:54fake output but normal output and run a
12:57microwave
12:58it'll power anything now both of those
13:02power stations also could not run a hair
13:05dryer at at full capacity they could
13:07they could run it but you know tone down
13:10because they regulate the voltage to
13:11fake that you know 2000 watts of of
13:16output but
13:18this
13:21can legit run a hair dryer on high
13:23[Applause]
13:32it pulls about the same amount of power
13:34as the microwave
13:38so there you go hair dryer on high
13:43not a problem at all
13:46so I I'm not going to take up this video
13:48plugging in
13:50the the waffle maker and plugging in you
13:54know all the different things that can
13:55charge and run and that sort of stuff
13:57because if it will do these two things
14:00I mean it's going to run anything
14:02just about anything I like your blanket
14:05no problem electric heater no problem
14:07charge all your things at Camp not a
14:10problem
14:11power tools not a problem so I mean
14:15these are the if it can run these you're
14:18good this is a lithium iron phosphate
14:20chemistry power station so bloody rates
14:24it at 3 500 life cycles now that's 3 500
14:28Cycles to 80 capacity yeah it's still
14:32got a lot of life left of it so they say
14:343 500 Cycles or 10 years worth of life
14:37out of this to 80 capacity not not to
14:40dead but just to 80 capacity so for this
14:43to about a 850 watt hour power station
14:46in in 10 years or 3 500 Cycles
14:49and they backed that by a five-year
14:51warranty which is is awesome a lot of
14:54power stations give you two maybe three
14:56years blue Eddie five years that's
14:59awesome a couple tricks that this thing
15:01has up its sleeve uh it will work as a
15:03UPS as an uninterruptible power supply
15:06so you can you know if you maybe you
15:08work from home and you can take your
15:12your home computer you can plug it into
15:14this have this plugged into the wall in
15:16case of a power outage boom instantly
15:19switches over from wall pass through to
15:22power station they say under 20
15:24milliseconds so you can be you can be
15:27working power goes out and you won't
15:30even notice it except it's dark in your
15:31room but your computer's still on and
15:34you're still able to get get what you
15:35need done so yay for this being a UPS
15:39now maybe 1152 Watt hours just isn't
15:42enough maybe you need a little bit more
15:44well blue Eddie has released their brand
15:46new b80 expansion battery which can also
15:50serve as its own Standalone power
15:51station too but the b80 is an 806 watt
15:55hour
15:57expansion it's designed for the ac60 but
15:59they make an adapter where you can plug
16:02that into this
16:04and expand this by another 806 Watt
16:08hours so it it can grow and then you can
16:11attach multiple of those together and
16:15expand it even more so this isn't
16:17limited to just the 1152 Watt hours you
16:20can you can expand it as needed now one
16:23test that I do with every Power Station
16:24if you've been you know watching all my
16:26power station videos you know is I take
16:28the power station I plug our Dometic cfx
16:30355im Fridge it's a 55 liter 12 volt
16:34fridge
16:35and it's got two two liter bottles of
16:38water in there to help regulate the
16:39temperature it's inside the house where
16:40we keep it at about 73 74 degrees
16:43that way all the tests are you know
16:45pretty consistent this one came in at 84
16:48hours and 12 minutes which is honestly
16:51exactly where I expected it to be based
16:53on all the other power stations that
16:54I've tested uh you know in in this range
16:56and others this one fell right where it
16:59should so you get what three and a half
17:02days out of this run in the fridge at
17:05least in our test and that's really good
17:08that's very respectable and good job in
17:12the Box you get everything you need
17:16um they don't they don't make you have
17:17to go buy extra adapters or anything
17:18like that you get you get the the power
17:22cord
17:24that uh
17:25for for the AC charging you get the
17:30um solar adapter uh mc4 to the barrel
17:34plug you get that you get the car
17:38charging adapter so this is not an
17:40add-on you get that and you get of
17:43course the the warranty card five year
17:45warranty and you get the owner's manual
17:48the
17:48tells you everything you need to know
17:50about it so
17:51okay for that blue Eddie has joined in
17:54with the competition and are giving this
17:56a really good app it's not quite as
17:59detailed and and quite as awesome as
18:01some of the others but it's really good
18:03and does what you need you can add
18:05multiple devices as you can see I've got
18:07the AC 200 Max in here as well
18:09but click on the ac180
18:13and it tells you everything you need to
18:16know it tells you that your inputs it
18:18tells you your outputs both AC and DC
18:21you can turn the AC and DC ports on and
18:24off so the AC port is uh is currently
18:28off so from the app
18:31I can turn it on
18:32so if I've got something plugged into it
18:34I'm in my tent I need to turn it on and
18:35off boom I can't you can go into the
18:38settings and this is where you change
18:41that charging mode standard silent
18:44um you know this isn't loud when it's
18:46charging normally anyway but you can put
18:48it in silent mode it'll charge a little
18:49bit slower rate but it'll be it'll be
18:52real quick
18:53so maybe you need this to run something
18:55around a baby
19:00then you can put it in turbo mode and
19:02get that maximum 1440 Watts worth of
19:05input there you can turn I love this
19:07feature you can turn Eco Mode on and off
19:09I like to have it off because I don't
19:11want this thing just spontaneously
19:12shutting down on me but depending on
19:14what you're powering if something is is
19:16maybe charging and then you want after
19:19it's finished charging you want this to
19:20shut off uh you can do that you can turn
19:23on the Eco modes the DC
19:25eco mode and you can then set you know a
19:30timer for how long it's looking for
19:32something to be running in there you can
19:36set you know the power so if it dips
19:38below
19:39um
19:41so if it dips below we'll say two Watts
19:43then it'll it'll go to sleep you can do
19:47the same thing for AC and here's this
19:49power lifting mode
19:52so powerlifting is just like the the
19:54turbo and the other things that other
19:57companies have where it will regulate
20:00the voltage down to increase the amps
20:04to mimic higher wattage
20:06so I I couldn't find anything that
20:09needed more than 1800 watts to to put
20:12this to the test because the fact that
20:14this is 1800 watts you're going to run
20:15just about anything anyway but if you
20:17have something some Electric
20:21toaster oven or some I don't know that
20:24that needs more than 1800 watts you can
20:27turn on power lifting it won't give it
20:28the full power because just like with
20:29all of them it's going to regulate the
20:31voltage bring the voltage down that we
20:32can kick the amps up and make it think
20:35it's getting the wattage it needs so I
20:38mean it's I I don't I don't use that
20:40feature a lot I don't
20:42because I want things to run normally
20:44but if you need to you can't then you
20:47can check your firmware Updates this is
20:49a pre-release model and so far there's
20:53been two firmware updates since I've had
20:55this right now I am up to date
20:57on my firmware
20:59and then you can go into advanced
21:00settings and turn on a couple things
21:03that and reset there so super handy app
21:07and it's it gets the job done and it
21:10does well and in power lifting mode it
21:13can mimic up to 2700 Watts which is just
21:15Bonkers I don't I can't think of
21:17anything that uses anything close to
21:19that much power that we take on our
21:21trips or even around the house
21:23so but 2700 Watts you can mimic that
21:25high so that's that's pretty cool
21:28um let's talk price
21:30for this
21:32um I I don't know honestly I don't know
21:35like I said this is this is
21:36pre-production this uh it is currently
21:39June 2nd when I'm recording this uh this
21:43should be released here in just a couple
21:45weeks from when this video releases so
21:48blue Eddie's they've already announced
21:50it on their website but you can't
21:52purchase it yet so I I don't know what
21:54the price is
21:56um I know blue Eddie is always very
21:57competitive and there I I compare things
22:01by price per watt hour and blue Eddie's
22:03price for whatever is always in the
22:06um the the low to mid 80 cents per watt
22:10per watt hour so I don't know how much
22:12this is is going to end up costing but I
22:14would expect it to be in that low to mid
22:1780 cents per watt hour now when it first
22:19comes on sale I wouldn't be surprised if
22:21they you know do this really cool launch
22:23price and it's below 80 cents per watt
22:25hour and if if if it's low 80s
22:2980 cents per watt hour
22:31buy it absolutely buy this thing because
22:35this this is the power station I've been
22:38waiting for this is
22:41this is it as you can see I think blue
22:46Eddie had a home run with this one just
22:48knocked it out of the park
22:49um it's it's well designed it's got
22:53killer features performs well and this
22:58right here is my goat this right here
23:00will be my go-to I just think it it
23:03packs everything you need the amount of
23:05power that you need and The Sweet Spot
23:06for what we do so ac180 is is the new
23:10top recommended power station by Ozark
23:13Overland Adventures so I'm very anxious
23:16to see their official launch and what

23:20because if it's if it's where I think
23:22it's going to be get you one of these
