0:0247 titled The N2 is finally here. Now
0:05it's time for us to break down and
0:07analyze how this episode compares to the
0:09manga. This week's episode is named
0:11after chapter 680. And similar to
0:14episode 45, it is overwhelmingly filled
0:17with anime original material, adapting
0:19only fragments of chapters 679 and 680.
0:24And this amounts to barely a single
0:27chapter of actual manga content.
0:29Everything else in here is brand new as
0:31we continue with this enhanced retelling
0:34of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc. The
0:36episode begins with an entirely anime
0:38original dream sequence between Shui and
0:41a dying Ukitake. We then shift over to
0:44Uru at the gate of the sun where he
0:46reunites with some unexpected
0:48characters. Then this is followed by one
0:50of the biggest lordoms of Core 4 as the
0:52anime finally lays out Uryu's true plan
0:55at the gate of the sun. And we also
0:57learn some critical details about what
0:59Yuobach was planning as all of this is
1:02drawn from the lost research of Udriu's
1:05grandfather Soken Ishida. The second
1:07half of the episode delivers the
1:08devastating moment where Yuobach
1:10reclaims the hollow and Quincy powers
1:12that he gave to Ichigo before he absorbs
1:14the remnants of his stern return back
1:16into himself as he departs for the soul
1:19society. This is a major episode for
1:21both story and law as there is a huge
1:23amount for us to get through. Be sure to
1:25stick around until the end of the video
1:27as I'll be breaking down exactly what
1:29Sook and Ishida discovered, how the gate
1:31of the sun feeds into Yuobach's plan to
1:33remake the world, as well as the
1:35significance of what we can expect with
1:37Eizen's poem revealed at the end of the
1:39episode. As always, I will be refraining
1:41from talking about scenes which are
1:43onetoone adaptations from the manga, and
1:45I'll solely focus on what has been cut,
1:47changed, and added to the anime. So,
1:49without further delay, here is my manga
1:51versus anime comparison for episode 47
1:53of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc
1:55anime. So, the episode opens with an
1:58anime exclusive scene with Shunsui and
2:00Ukitake, which runs for just about 2 and
2:031/2 minutes. So, it begins with Shui
2:06standing near some water. A hand appears
2:08and pulls him into the water as he
2:10struggles, but he eventually is
2:12submerged. Now, he seems to be in the
2:15place where Ukitake had met Mimihagi. He
2:18encounters a young Ukitake as he
2:20questions what happened. Ukitake says,
2:22"Why are you so bewildered?" Shuni calls
2:25out to him. As Ukitake asks, "Who else
2:27did you think it was?" Shui asks, "So,
2:30you came to see me?" Ukitake explains
2:32that Yuobach will probably annihilate
2:34the three worlds. Using the power of the
2:37soul king's right arm, I was just barely
2:39able to prevent the collapse, but that
2:41will end with my death. So, it seems
2:43like these are the final moments of
2:45Ukitake. As Shuni says, that's most
2:47likely what will happen. As Ukitake
2:50says, "It's for the sake of this world."
2:52Shuni says, "I appreciate the
2:53confidence, but is there a chance of
2:55winning?" As Ukitake jokes that there's
2:58as much of a chance of brazenly going
2:59out on a date with Captain Unahana. As
3:02Shunui says, "So, it's entirely
3:04possible." Ukitake says, "You're right.
3:06Let's protect this world." Stating,
3:08"I'll entrust my life to you." In his
3:11usual demeanor, Shanui says, "Damn it.
3:13That's just not my style." Ukitake tells
3:15him, "But you have no choice but to do
3:17it, right? After all, you're now head
3:19captain of the 13 courtgard squads."
3:22Shui says, "Well, you've got me there.
3:24What's needed now is the strategy and
3:26resolved command." While honoring
3:28everyone's wishes, Ukitake says, "I know
3:31you more than anyone know what's most
3:34important." Shui says, "I'm going,
3:35Ukitake." As then we hear Ukitake's
3:38adult voice say to him, "I'm counting on
3:40you, head captain." Now that is such an
3:43emotional anime exclusive edition. Now
3:46this anime exclusive scene ends with Nal
3:48calling out to Shanui as she says to
3:50him, "Shall we get going now?" So this
3:52means Ukitaki has left a final request
3:55for Shanui to fulfill which is why he is
3:58getting back up and he's rejoining the
4:00battle. We then cut to a twominute anime
4:03exclusive scene. Now this scene's
4:05centered around Udyu as he says, "This
4:07is as far as I can go." As he reaches
4:09the gate of the sun, he says, "Ichigo, I
4:12leave that in your hands." Referring to
4:14Yuhabak. While saying this, he is
4:16looking down below Vahvald as he sees a
4:19huge distortion below. So, he fires an
4:22arrow into the gate of the sun, but it
4:25swirls around as the arrow dissipates
4:27into it. He then fires multiple arrows
4:30as they all spin around the gate of the
4:33sun. He states multiple layers of energy
4:35swirling in a vortex. It puts the
4:38distortion below to shame. It's exactly
4:40as master wrote. Now, this is critical.
4:43We'll get back to this after we're
4:44introduced to some characters who have
4:47just arrived onto the battlefield.
4:48Aranka's Pes and Dunder Chaka appear and
4:51say, "What is this room?" Udyu calls out
4:53to them. As they ask Udyu, why are you
4:55here? Questioning, "Wasn't he in the
4:57world of the living?" He says,
4:59"Shouldn't I ask you, what are you doing
5:01here?" They explained that a lot has
5:03happened. So when they went outside for
5:06a tiny look, they got caught up in the
5:08black eyeballs and before they knew it,
5:10they were here. So I'm guessing these
5:12are the remnants of the soul kings
5:15Rayatu after Yuobach absorbed the soul
5:17king. So it seems like these remnants
5:19would have spread across the three
5:21realms and Peshia and Donachaka have
5:23been affected by it. So yeah, before
5:25they knew it, they ended up here. And as
5:27they were wandering about, they ran into
5:29Nelly and Harbel, it seems, who have
5:32just appeared onto the battlefield. Now,
5:34Nelly being here means that she was able
5:36to successfully save Yoruichi, Yushiro,
5:39Grimjou, and Ura. Now, what's incredible
5:42is that this anime exclusive scene
5:44reveals Harry Bell joining the battle
5:47after she was defeated by Yuabug all the
5:49way back at the beginning of Car 1. You
5:52can see that she's still injured, but
5:53she's willing to fight. So, we were very
5:55successful at rescuing Master Haribell,
5:58too. It was successful, by the way. U
6:01calls out to Tia Hari as he then
6:03recognizes Nell from the mask as this is
6:06the first time that he has seen her in
6:08her adult form. She asks if he is
6:10surprised as he says no, he's just a bit
6:12confused. Pes jokes around saying, "You
6:15were ugling Lady Nell, weren't you?" As
6:17Udyu says, "Stop making stuff up." We
6:19then cut to Harib Bell who has an
6:21important question to ask Udriu. She
6:23says, "If you call yourself a Quincsey
6:25and answer me, who are you here for? And
6:28what do you seek?" While in her
6:29resurrection form, she points her blade
6:32at Udriu. Now, Shunui arrives with Nau
6:35to break the tension as he says, "It
6:37looks like we're going to have quite an
6:39unusual party." We then cut to a 92
6:42anime exclusive scene featuring the
6:44Shinigami Research and Development
6:46Institute as they monitor the situation
6:48within the Rukon District as thousands
6:50of hollows are flooding into the soul
6:52society. So a portal opens within the
6:55Rukon district as the hollows start
6:56flooding in causing mass damage. So the
6:59gate closes as the Shinigami in the
7:02development institute confirm this. As
7:04Akon questions how's the border
7:06intensity? He's told that it shrunk to
7:09minus0.1.
7:10The expansion of the distortion is now
7:13slowing thanks to them introducing many
7:15hollows into the soul society to avert
7:17the disruption. So Akon says, "All
7:19right, that's perfect." Then reports
7:21start coming in from the Rukon district
7:24of damage that is caused by hollows. As
7:26one of the Shinigami asks, "What should
7:28we do?" Akon bluntly states there's
7:30nothing to be done. as the Shinigami
7:32tells him that that's irresponsible. But
7:34he is told that our highest priority is
7:37to prevent the collapse of the world as
7:39their next step is to now rush the
7:41analysis of the soul king's right arm if
7:43they can continue on by balancing the
7:46worlds even after Ukitake dies. So yeah,
7:49they're doing this for the sake of
7:50Captain Ukitake. As Akon states, there's
7:53no good or bad here. We Shinigami ensure
7:55balance. Don't forget that. As the
7:57subordinate says, yes sir. So abandoning
8:00the Rukon district will be a means to
8:02save their ser as the Shinigami goes on
8:05to say maybe the Rukon district existed
8:07just for this very moment. Akam looks
8:10over at Ukitake as Mimi Hagi is still
8:13releasing from him as it seems like
8:15these may be the final moments of
8:17Ukitake's life. We then cut to a very
8:20lengthy anime exclusive scene which runs
8:22over 6 minutes. Now, this scene is
8:24centered around Uru and Yuobach's plan
8:27as well as information from Soken Ishida
8:30regarding the gate of the sun. And all
8:32of this is from the research that Soen
8:34Ishida had conducted. So, this is all
8:37really important law that's been
8:38revealed within this episode. So, Nao
8:41notices the oranga as she's about to
8:43attack, but Shui tells her, "Don't
8:45panic." Reminding her that he told her
8:47it's a party. He then says to Haribell,
8:50"It's been quite a while, hasn't it?" as
8:52he never thought that he would see her
8:53face again. She says, "You took the
8:55words right out of my mouth, Shinigami."
8:58Shuni says, "I must say this is an
9:00ominous monstrosity you've got here."
9:02Referring to the gate of the sun as he
9:04questions, "What is this thing?" Haribal
9:06explains that it's a vortex that will
9:08victimize [music]
9:08this entire world, shall we say. He
9:11says, "I see. So then this is where the
9:13distortion that appeared in the three
9:14worlds started. Would I be correct in
9:16assuming that this was the final
9:19objective of you, Quincy's Uru?" Uru
9:21says exactly a single arrow that was set
9:24up by Yuhobach before this war even
9:26began. It was designed to trigger the
9:28collapse of the world and destroying
9:30this distortion Uru states is his duty
9:33as the last quincy. So we then cut to a
9:36flashback where we hear the words of
9:38Soken Ishida. Now these are supposedly
9:40written within his journal. So we see
9:42this scene here of Uru sat alongside the
9:45riverbank from car 1 where he is reading
9:47his grandfather's journal and this is
9:50what he was learning. So Ishida says a
9:52part of the burden fell onto me. And
9:55then within the journal you can see an
9:56image of the gate of the sun there. He
9:58says in my hope for a world where
10:00quincies are accepted and a yearning for
10:03absolute power I reached the end of my
10:06research. He speaks about a power that
10:09fuses souls of different species. Now,
10:12this is really important information and
10:14this would create souls of a much higher
10:17level by disrupting their balance. Soken
10:20then reveals that he was unable to
10:22unfortunately control that power as he
10:24invited the collapse of the three
10:26worlds. We then cut to a shot of Yuobach
10:29asen Ishida then realized that this seed
10:32of destruction was exactly what the
10:34Quincy king had desired all along. So
10:36the gate of the sun is described as the
10:39seed of destruction. He adds that once
10:41the seed of destruction is unleashed,
10:43nothing can be done to stop it. If there
10:46is a sliver of a possibility, it should
10:48be to bring the seed of destruction and
10:51the center of the distortion at the
10:53boundary of the worlds into a direct
10:56collision, possibly triggering mutual
10:58annihilation. Now this is the important
11:00part. He states, "If there is a sliver
11:03of a possibility, it would be to bring
11:05the seed of destruction and the center
11:08of the distortion at the boundary of the
11:10worlds into a direct collision, possibly
11:13triggering mutual annihilation. The
11:15problem is that the energy unleashed by
11:17that annihilation, it will be

11:25needs to do it." We then cut to Shunui
11:27who's just learned this from Uru as he
11:29says, "I see." So if the seed of
11:31destruction and the distortion spreading
11:33below collide, we can make them both
11:36disappear along with Yuobach's plan with
11:39it. He asks Uru if this is it. But Nell
11:42says, "Well, it can't be that simple."
11:44Nell says, "It's very simple. If we can
11:46do that, we can save the world, right?"
11:48Haribell adds, "I understand what you're
11:50saying, but how do we do it? Have you
11:52thought this through carefully?" Uryu
11:53explains, "We can make them collide." As
11:56Haribell says, you intend to have the
11:57castle fall with it with the seed of
12:00destruction. The question is then posed
12:02as to how do we drop something with this
12:04much mass. U explains that it's
12:06comprised of Rishi, so he'll make it
12:09happen. Hari says, "Can you do this
12:11alone?" Adding that she's saying that
12:13the destruction of the world isn't his
12:15problem alone. Nell says, "Get to the
12:17point, Haribbell." She adds that she's
12:19saying you're not alone and that we're
12:21all here to help. So Udyu questions,
12:23"How's an Aranka helping them?" as she
12:25says, "Well, you're friends with Ichigo,
12:27right?" Uu adds, "It's not as simple as
12:29just letting the castle fall." In a
12:31worst case scenario, there's a
12:32possibility of fighting directly with
12:34Uhabag, and he is the only one who can
12:37compete with his power. As Nell says,
12:39then there's all the more reason that he
12:40should use that power to help Ichigo.
12:43Udyu says he cannot guarantee that
12:44they'll make it out alive. As Harwell
12:47says, well, she never asked for that. As
12:49Nell adds, you shouldn't say that to
12:50Ananka. So now Udyu knows that he has
12:53all of their help. He explains that
12:55they'll use their powers without
12:57reservation. Shuni and Nau say well
12:59they'll lend a hand too of course
13:01stating who would have thought that the
13:03day would come when Shinigami Quincy's
13:05unhollows would fight together to save
13:07the world. Pesia and Dunderchaka even
13:09add their two cents as they say you've
13:11grown up Uru Ishida. I'm happy by the
13:13way. Nao then says hold on let the
13:16castle fall. What about the people at
13:17the royal palace right now? Udyu
13:19explains that they're only letting this
13:22central tower fall. He then reveals the
13:24collapse chips in his hand, explaining
13:27that they were built using Quincy secret
13:29technology that can break down and
13:31scatter Rishi. They are Leiden Sherman.
13:34Simply put, they are explosives. He
13:36plans to blast the five bridges that
13:38extend from the centaur tower and to
13:40separate it from the detached palace.
13:42Haribell says, "This was your plan from
13:44the beginning." As Udyu says it was. yet
13:47no intention of causing unnecessary
13:49damage and that they need to make this
13:51work no matter what. So each of them
13:54take a collapse chip as Shuni says, "Our
13:56mission right now is to protect this
13:58world. I understand your concerns, Nal,
14:00but we'll be fine. [music] We won't work
14:02it out. We'll make it work." Now Shui
14:04hands the collapse chip over to Nau as
14:07he has something else that he needs to
14:09do. So with Pesh Dundaka, Nell, Haribel,
14:13and Nau with a collapsed chip each
14:16shouldn't be going off to do what he has
14:17to do. Uduru says, "Let's draw our
14:19bows." And that ends the first half of
14:22the episode as we then cut to the
14:24midcard of this episode, which is
14:26fittingly focusing on Leen Sherben,
14:28which are the collapsed chips, or in
14:30other words, directly translated as
14:32scattered spirit engraved fragments. Now
14:35the description for this reads, "These
14:37are chips that have been generated from
14:39the Sanray glove that Soken Ishida
14:42entrusted to his pupil Uriu. By using
14:44these chips, spirit particles or Rishi
14:47can be broken down and dispersed at a
14:49high level in a short span of time, thus
14:52making it viable in actual combat. The
14:54Sanray glove is a secret tool of the
14:56Quincy that Uru Ishida honed during his
14:59training. It forms spirit particle
15:02manipulation that's refined to the point
15:04of granting power that's enough to
15:06gather the surrounding rishi and forge a
15:08bow and arrow. Originally the glove
15:11forcibly restrains the quincy's rishi
15:14intake, deliberately controlling and
15:16limiting it to force operation under
15:18more difficult conditions. That
15:20distinctive rati control mechanism has
15:22here been applied and reconstructed into
15:25chip form. So, we finally have a solid
15:28grasp as to what these collapse chips
15:30are and how the collapse chips plan was
15:33altered from the end of Core 3 and how
15:36it's been incorporated into Core 4, as
15:38this is all very different to the manga.
15:40The second half of the episode begins
15:42with material adapted from pages 14 to
15:4517 of chapter 679.
15:47So, this is from where Yuhabak grabs
15:50Ichigo's head all the way to the point
15:52where he says, "The power I gave to you,
15:54I'm taking it back." as he begins
15:56stealing his hollow and Quincy powers.
15:58Everything is one to one adapted aside
16:00from one new dialogue from Ichigo which
16:03is added to the end of page 14 because
16:06Renji, Rukia, Chad and Ganju are also
16:08here as he refers to them by saying and
16:11everyone's powers have no effect as
16:13Ichigo conceds that it's over. The
16:16material from chapter 680 is adapted but
16:19with a lot of anime exclusive changes.
16:22So, we do get a 202 anime exclusive
16:25reaction to Ichigo losing his powers as
16:28Hitsugaya and Byakuya react along with
16:30Shonui. Even now reacts to Nell, Pes,
16:34Dondaka, and even Haribell as they all
16:37concede that it's the end of the world.
16:39Now, Udyu even flies up and he looks at
16:41the distortion that is being created
16:43with Ichigo's hollow and shinigami
16:45powers being stolen. Now, here we do get
16:48an anime exclusive dialogue from Yuhabak
16:51as he says, "It's time to say farewell,
16:53Ichigo Kurasaki, a Shinigami consumed by
16:56despair." Now, scenes are rearranged
16:59here as then pages 15 to 16 of chapter
17:02680 are adapted. Now, this is
17:04specifically the moment where Gerard
17:06Valkyrie is consumed by Ashvallin as he
17:09is totally reduced to a skeleton as he
17:11collapses to the ground. as we see
17:13Hitsugaya and Byaka react to Gerard's
17:16power being taken from him. Now then,
17:18one of the most surprising moments from
17:20this episode occurs here as we cut to
17:23the soul society and we see those little
17:26barrel flamingo bird creatures. Now, it
17:28seems like they also dissipate and their
17:31energy returns to Yu-hobach. This means
17:33that pages 14 to 15 of chapter 654,
17:37which was left over from core 3, has not
17:39been adapted into core 4. So these are
17:42the two pages where Lil Barl questions
17:45Isuru Kira saying, "Who is that? Who are
17:47you?" As Kira refers to himself as a
17:50dead man. He then unleashes his Zakto
17:53Wabis as he pressurizes the little
17:56barrel birds to the ground. As he says,
17:58"Oh great, I'm glad I've risen from the
18:01dead, but look all around me. It's a
18:03mess. I may have survived, but can I
18:05protect this place?" as he is surrounded
18:07by those little barrel birds. He says
18:10we'll see as he draws his Zakto
18:12continuing to fight the birds. While it
18:14seems like none of this has been adapted
18:16into call 4, as the bird creatures have
18:19just disappeared with Kira looking on. I
18:21can't lie, it's a bit disappointing. I
18:23thought they would have given a bit of
18:25time to this moment, at least a couple
18:27of minutes of anime original content.
18:29But with the birds gone, now we cut back
18:32to the collapse of Ukitake as Shunui
18:35extends out his arm. Now, surprisingly,
18:38you'll see the markings of Mimihagi on
18:40his forearm. He extends his hand out
18:43towards the tower where Yuobach is. As
18:46Mimihagi completely removes itself from
18:48Ukitake, as Ukitaki's body now
18:51collapses, Mimihagi then starts
18:53releasing from Shunsui's arm, it fires
18:55itself towards Yuabak. Ukitake falls to
18:58the ground as the Shinigami from the
19:00research and development institute
19:01surround him. Shuni says, "Are you
19:03seeing this Ukitake?" And Ukitake
19:05appears to have died as he has a somber
19:08expression on his face. Shinsui says,
19:10"Okay, it's time for the final fight."
19:12We then cut back to pages 3 to 5 of
19:15chapter 680 as the last portion of manga
19:19material is adapted within this episode
19:22and it's Ichigo speaking about the
19:24hollow and quincy powers that he has
19:26lost as we get those emotional scenes of
19:29Masaki as he bids farewell to his hollow
19:32and quincy powers. Ichigo then falls to
19:34the ground and the anime also shows us
19:36the horn disappearing from his head. We
19:39then cut to anime original content which
19:41runs for about a minute as it shows
19:43Yuobach leaving the throne room and
19:45ascending to the sky. Now during this
19:47anime original scene he says to the old
19:50world of neverending chaos this seed
19:53blooms. He's of course talking about
19:55this seed of destruction. As he says
19:58become an offering to chaotic
19:59tranquility. This is in reference to the
20:01primordial world which was a chaotic
20:04existence with neither life or death.
20:06The distortion then rises up to almost
20:09consume the entirety of the Rahavevelt
20:11structure. But suddenly the Rishi
20:14collapse chips take effect as each of
20:16the bridges begin to explode one by one
20:19much to Yuobach's surprise. So yeah, the
20:21Rishi disperses as the central tower
20:25begins to fall. Uduryu then appears to
20:27confront Yuobach as Yuobach asks,
20:29"What's the matter, Udyu?" As Udyu asks,
20:32"Is this the future you said you would
20:34show me?" Yubuk says it is. As he says,
20:36"I guess you're not going to ask what
20:38happened to Ichigo." Udyu says, "Because
20:40I don't need to. It appears you haven't
20:43been able to see my feelings all along."
20:45He then draws his bow as he gets ready
20:47to fire an arrow at Yuhobach, who is
20:49pretty much saying, "Bring it on." We
20:51then cut to a 202 anime exclusive scene
20:54where we see that Ichigo and the others
20:56have been saved. Now, a lot of people
20:58are pointing out a bit of stranges about
21:00this scene in particular. In the last
21:02episode, we saw Renji here get cut up
21:05into multiple pieces. One arm was over
21:08here, one leg was over there, but it
21:10seems like he's been completely healed
21:11into one piece as he's riding on the
21:13back of this hollow. Again, God knows
21:16who healed him here, but he should be in
21:18multiple pieces as you can still see the
21:20injuries on Orihime Chad as the blood is
21:23there on their clothing. And yeah,
21:24there's some blood on Renji's leg, but
21:27he appears to be whole with no
21:29explanation as to how he was put back
21:31together. As Pes and Dondaka say,
21:32"Consider the debt settled. In fact, now
21:35you owe me Ichigo Kurasaki." Then the
21:37episode ends with a 5-minute sequence
21:40which is centered around Uryu, Haribel,
21:42and Nell fighting Yuhabak together.
21:45Uduryu fires a arrow at Yuhobach, who
21:47instantly appears behind him. Uduryu
21:50then pulls back as Yuhabak draws his
21:52sword as he says, "What's the point in
21:54seeing your feelings?" He then draws his
21:56blade at Uryu, who is then protected by
21:59the arrival of Haribel. She fires his
22:02resurrection as the tower begins to
22:04collapse as Nell arrives with her super
22:07acceleration as she fires her lance
22:10towards Yuoba, cutting away his Rishi.
22:12He's persistent as he fires a blast of
22:14black rayi at her which strikes her in
22:16the abdomen. But Haribel then charges
22:18back swatting away the black rishi and
22:21it's incredible seeing everybody work
22:22together here. Yobach says to Haribell,
22:24"Have you forgotten the rift so vast
22:27that even despair felt lukewarm king of
22:29the oranga?" Haribbal corrects him
22:31saying, "I told you I'm not a king." She
22:34then raises Taiburon and unleashes
22:36Cascada as Yubak blocks it with a dome
22:39of black rishi above him. More of the
22:41black ray she fires towards Haribal who
22:43averts it in the air but she ends up
22:45being stried in the abdomen with blood
22:47flowing from her mouth as Yubak says
22:49playtime is over. He then activates the
22:52almighty. Haribal says sorry I want to
22:54play a little more. Uru then reveals a
22:57variant application of Va's winger. So
23:00the air around him cracks as we see a
23:03massive arrow begin to accumulate. He

23:23in the combined assault as she fires off
23:25Lanzod Verde. Udyu also fires the arrow
23:28at the same time, saying, "It's over."
23:30As Yubach says, "Is that the hope you
23:32choose?" Udyu says, "I haven't chosen
23:35yet." Now, pay attention here as the
23:37Verwinger arrow is swapped with Neiel's
23:40lance thanks to the antithesis. Now,
23:42this lance fires at Yuhobach while the
23:45arrow is firing at a different direction
23:47towards Yuhobach. So, the lance first
23:50strikes Yuobach's right arm there, and
23:52it's a direct hit. Yuobach takes damage.
23:55Now, Nell removes one of the accessories
23:57from her right wrist as Yuak's healing
24:00his arm, saying, "What foolishness.
24:02Everything is meaningless." before my
24:03the almighty. I've already broken the
24:06other arrow of hope that you shot. As
24:08you can see, that huge red winger arrow
24:10is consumed by the black rayi and it
24:13dissipates in the air. Now, Udyu says,
24:15"I knew you would choose that future."
24:17Now, you can see the arrow reforms. I'm
24:20guessing he uses the antithesis again
24:21here. This is why I swapped it for a
24:24future where it never broke. as the
24:26arrow now reforges as multiple fragments
24:28of it fire towards the gate of the sun
24:31as it's pushing the central tower
24:33further down right towards that
24:35distortion that is at the edge of the
24:38soul society says you did well to refine
24:41my power to such an extent however the
24:44explosive scattering of energy born from
24:46the collision of the seed and the
24:48distortion it will swallow not only the
24:50royal palace but the ser along with it
24:54so this is critical so And Ishida said
24:56that the explosion born from the seed
24:58meeting the distortion will be huge. But
25:01Udyu seems to have a plan. That's why
25:04this is a victory I could not achieve
25:06alone. Now this is important. Nell fires
25:08off that accessory towards the central
25:11tower. You can see the central tower is
25:13now colliding with the distortion. Pes
25:15Dundaka said please. Oh please. So Pesh
25:18appears to have these two buttons in his
25:20hand. As Udyu swaps the buttons with
25:23Haribbell and Nell as they reach safety
25:27and then that accessory that Nell fired
25:29towards the central tower, it ends up
25:31getting swapped by Yuhobach as Udriu
25:33uses the antithesis twice here in a row.
25:36So he puts Neiel and Haribell to safety
25:39and he puts Yuobach right at the center
25:41of that explosion between the seed and
25:44the distortion. So the central tower is
25:46getting completely consumed by the
25:48distortion. Yubach is literally falling
25:51into the explosion. And then Udyu does
25:53the ultimate move here as the huge
25:56explosion erupts. He fires himself right
25:59towards the explosion as he now tries
26:01his best to contain it by firing
26:03multiple arrows as they start chaining
26:05together into this long string that
26:08completely orbits around the explosion
26:10and compresses it into a ball. So the
26:13entire explosion is being contained
26:16within Udyu's arrows. And it's
26:18absolutely insane the amount of planning
26:20that Udyu did for this moment. So the
26:22entire explosion ends up being contained
26:24as Udyu screams out. He's literally just
26:27prevented the royal palace and the ser
26:29from being destroyed as the gate of the
26:31sun is completely absorbed in the
26:33distortion. Uu is seen then floating in
26:35midair as he falls to the ground. It
26:38seems as though victory is insured. So
26:40we cut to Pesh, Dondashaka, Nell, and
26:43Haribbal as they say, "Well, it seems
26:45like the war has finally ended." But
26:47Haribal looks up into the sky as there's
26:49a faint figure floating there. Now then,
26:52we get a single panel adapted from page
26:556 of chapter 680 as they've taken
26:58Yuhabak's laugh from that manga panel
27:00and put it here in the anime. [music]
27:02The laugh in the manga was right after
27:04he had absorbed Ichigo's Quincy and
27:06hollow powers. So, as a total
27:08declaration of victory against Ichigo
27:10who's given up, but here it's used as a
27:12laugh in the face to Uru and his plan.
27:15He says, "Uru, I have taken full measure
27:18of your power," the antithesis. However,
27:20it alters nothing of the future I
27:22forged. "Every last shrift has already
27:25been sublimated into the Almighty," he
27:27explains as the eyes of the Almighty
27:30open all around him. Then, a portal
27:32leading to the soul society opens. And
27:35this is taken from page 17 of chapter
27:38680. But things are totally different
27:40here within the anime. As Yubak leaves
27:43by saying, "These nine days of the
27:44world's end on this circular path, they
27:47are both the end and the beginning of
27:49the world." He leaves as we focus in on
27:52one of the eyes of the Almighty. As he
27:55states, I see all. And this is the end
27:57of episode 47. Again, the manga has
28:00quite a bit more of a monologue here. So
28:03when Yuabak leaves he says so long
28:05Ichigo as it's only Ichigo and Orihime
28:08at the throne room after he has absorbed
28:10Gerard Schwad and Ichigo's hollow and
28:12quincy powers he says I no longer need
28:15you or my children the stentor watch
28:17from where you are the sight of the sorc
28:19society and the living world being
28:22crushed by me so this is what it's meant
28:24by the end to world and then it's at
28:26this moment in the manga where Renji and
28:28Rukia arrive in the throne room this is
28:31totally different to how the anime
28:33adapted things as youak pays attention
28:34to them saying how tenacious. So there
28:37were still some of you hanging around.
28:39But with your wounded bodies, I doubt
28:41you even could take a step from where
28:43you are. But if you want to come after
28:45me, then come. I will leave this gate
28:47here. If you come after me out of
28:48respect for your bravery, I will give
28:50you a magnificent death. I shall single
28:52out the moment of your greatest
28:54happiness in the coming future and kill
28:56you then. He then leaves before saying
28:58from now on every time you feel joy you
29:01will recall my words and each time you
29:04will taste the fear of death you've been
29:05promised forever. So then yeah leaves to
29:09the soul society. This is very different
29:11to how things happen within the anime
29:13and the episode concludes with a poem
29:15from Eizen teasing episode 48 as the
29:18poem reads people are all imitations of
29:20monkeys gods are all imitations of
29:23people. Now, if you know, this is the
29:25opening poem of volume 48 of the manga
29:28titled God is Dead. This is the volume
29:31that has Eizen on the cover. And we wrap
29:33up with episode 48 titled The End to
29:36World. This week's episode of Bleach was
29:38yet another almost entirely anime
29:40original spectacle, and it may be one of
29:42the most loreheavy episodes of the
29:44entire core. A highlight was undoubtedly
29:46the massive expansion upon Soken
29:48Ishida's research. On top of that, all
29:50of those incredible Shuni and Ukitaka
29:52scenes. And I was so shocked at the
29:54inclusion of Haribel as how Uru,
29:57Haribbell, and Nell all team up against
29:59Uabak at the end. And I loved how those
30:01despair chapters of Ichigo were adapted
30:03here. With the finale of Core 4, the
30:06last three episodes now upon us. The
30:08chapter mats have become incredibly
30:10tight as there are just under six
30:12chapters worth of manga left to adapt
30:14across the final three episodes with
30:16everything from chapter 681 through to
30:19the final chapter 686 yet to adapt. Next
30:22week's episodes titled the end to world
30:25and with that Eisen poem closing out the
30:27final scene. I fully expect his
30:29long-awaited return to the story to
30:31happen. We have also yet to see how
30:33Ishin and Ryuken will affect the story
30:35and everybody's favorite uncle Sukushima
30:38has yet to appear. So with Yubak now
30:40marching on to the Soul Society, his
30:42almighty at full power and Ukitake's
30:45sacrifice is now being done. There's
30:47still quite a bit left for these final
30:48three episodes to deliver. As reality is
30:51now teetering on the very edge of
30:53collapse. So what were your thoughts on
