Beta: The Control Room Group Mission Explained — Transcript

1. 0:01Hello all, and today's video we're going
2. 0:03to do some beta fun. So, we're going to
3. 0:06try and explain the control room. We did
4. 0:08the missions last night and you know,
5. 0:11since there's a dev lock, we anticipate
6. 0:14this is how it's going to go live. So,
7. 0:17again, keep in mind this is beta and
8. 0:19things may change and we're just
9. 0:21learning them now. So, I'm going to do
10. 0:22my best to just show you guys the basic
11. 0:25mechanics and then obviously when it
12. 0:27goes live we'll fine-tune it and make it
13. 0:29easier and everything like that. All
14. 0:31right. So, first thing and foremost is
15. 0:34before we get even started, there's four
16. 0:37hotkeys you need to make cuz during the
17. 0:39event you're going to need to talk to
18. 0:40this frog. It's very similar to the
19. 0:42raid.
20. 0:43Um there'll be emotes and everything
21. 0:45like that. So, first one is if there's
22. 0:48something to do with suffering and
23. 0:50you'll see it in the video in a moment.
24. 0:52You're going to need to say silverwing
25. 0:54and then if there's going to be these
26. 0:56pests, you're going to say harledar. And
27. 0:59if there's going to be like some
28. 1:00defensive thing, you're going to say
29. 1:02keekol keekolan or kekkalin or yeah, I'm
30. 1:06butchering that. And then if there's a
31. 1:08manipulating manipulator at, you're
32. 1:11going to say vanish. All right. So,
33. 1:14this is where you zone in once you have
34. 1:16those hotkeys ready. You're going to
35. 1:18come up top.
36. 1:24And this is the playing field here.
37. 1:27You'll see that there's these two
38. 1:28soldiers. This big big huge dragon.
39. 1:34And there should be another mob over
40. 1:36here.
41. 1:38This gilded mystic. This is important to
42. 1:41kill as early as possible.
43. 1:44Okay. So, the event basically starts in
44. 1:46this room here and you do need to
45. 1:50hail this guy and kill the two soldiers.
46. 1:54It seems the theme of this expansion and
47. 1:57raids themselves is
48. 1:59kill random trash in the beginning
49. 2:01that's not needed and then start the
50. 2:04event. So,
51. 2:06the trigger event is these two mobs. You
52. 2:08kill them.
53. 2:10The event starts. Dragon activates.
54. 2:12You're going to DPS it. The dragon has
55. 2:15percentage base ads. These um gilded
56. 2:18guardians, I believe they are. Um these
57. 2:21mobs
58. 2:23must die. You can't just burn through
59. 2:24the dragon. So, uh every percentage,
60. 2:28you'll see them spawn in the video. The
61. 2:30last one spawns at like 5% 6% or
62. 2:33something like that.
63. 2:34Um they do have one of those abilities
64. 2:37where they will charge a person. And you
65. 2:41know, you got to taunt it off them. So,
66. 2:43whoever it charges and there's going to
67. 2:45be emotes about it. Let me see if I have
68. 2:47it on my screen from last night.
69. 2:50Was many attempts.
70. 2:52Okay, you see
71. 2:54No, that's not it.
72. 3:00I hear a gilded guardian growls looking
73. 3:02away from you targets towards Yatov. Um
74. 3:06so, basically Yatov will need to run
75. 3:08near the main tank. And then you spam
76. 3:10taunt. You could use your stupid taunts
77. 3:12as well to pull it off. It does happen
78. 3:15fairly often. If you see here, it's like
79. 3:1820 seconds or something like that. So,
80. 3:21you just got to kill it real quick. Um
81. 3:24these missions are not box friendly. It
82. 3:26was horrible for me to box. It was not
83. 3:29fun.
84. 3:30But again, I'm getting used to it. So,
85. 3:32maybe it will get better with repeated
86. 3:35uh use.
87. 3:36All right. So, anyway, um
88. 3:38kill the gilded guardians as they spawn.
89. 3:40That's very important. Um making sure
90. 3:43whoever it targets gets close to you.
91. 3:45The dragon has a frontal and rear
92. 3:47attack. Uh
93. 3:49this it still does stuff and pretty much
94. 3:51again, the theme for this expansion is
95. 3:53all the dragons have a frontal or rear.
96. 3:55So, uh your DPS and your
97. 3:59healers need to like
98. 4:01be on the side or an active tank uh
99. 4:04flip-flopping it. Um so, there's that.
100. 4:08The AEs and such still kind of hurt a
101. 4:11little bit and I didn't get any new
102. 4:13gear, but I did bump up my AAs. So,
103. 4:17there's that. Okay.
104. 4:19So, it happens it happens. Killing stuff
105. 4:21as it spawns around 60% you want to give
106. 4:24a little DPS and bring it down to 40
107. 4:26because somewhere between 60 and 40
108. 4:30the dragon does the room shifting thing.
109. 4:32So, if your DPS um just go steady there,
110. 4:36then the dragon that you're you know,
111. 4:39inside right now will fly around and
112. 4:42move you around the room and it's quite
113. 4:44annoying. And then some of your
114. 4:46characters if you're boxing will get
115. 4:47stuck on the wall like this and it's
116. 4:50just chaos. So,
117. 4:52I like to do a little DPS from 60 40
118. 4:54just push that phase and then you'll
119. 4:56have a a couple of gilded guardians to
120. 4:58deal with which is not a problem.
121. 5:02Also starting from 60%ish, I believe or
122. 5:0550%ish. Again, learning in progress.
123. 5:09The there will be four different types
124. 5:11of things that will happen.
125. 5:13So, I again, I said that you needed to
126. 5:16kill this guy first because if you don't
127. 5:18kill this,
128. 5:19uh these hotkeys that we made earlier
129. 5:21will not work. So, this little dragon
130. 5:23here, he protects the glass so that the
131. 5:26good dragons can't come in. So, you kill
132. 5:30it early, then you can summon the
133. 5:32dragons as needed.
134. 5:33So, again, from 60ish and below or 50ish
135. 5:37and below,
136. 5:38uh different things will happen. So,
137. 5:40suffering is like this nasty dot that's
138. 5:42on your effect window.
139. 5:45Uh pest is going to spawn like two ads
140. 5:48that
141. 5:49um will attack you. Harledar will scare
142. 5:52them away.
143. 5:54Defensive measure, the general will put
144. 5:56up a shield where melee can't hit it.
145. 5:59Like it will only do one damage. So, uh
146. 6:02this will break the shield. And then the
147. 6:04manipulator is going to be this even con
148. 6:07that spawns and basically he dots you
149. 6:11and such. So, this will prevent it.
150. 6:13And like that. There is a refresh on the
151. 6:16dragon calling. We believe it's about 45
152. 6:19seconds. So, you'll see me in the videos
153. 6:21trying to spam it and like panicking as
154. 6:23I alt-tab and such like that.
155. 6:25Uh
156. 6:27because I was boxing, I kept my bar down
157. 6:30here below just to hail it because it
158. 6:33would be utter even more chaos to run
159. 6:36back and forth.
160. 6:38And while tanking and dealing with the
161. 6:40ads and trying to taunt and things like
162. 6:42that. So, basically making excuses of my
163. 6:45lack of boxing skills to do this
164. 6:48properly. So, I
165. 6:49I just kept the bar down below.
166. 6:53And then rinse repeat. It gets a little
167. 6:56hairy around 20%. There's going to be
168. 6:59these red orbs and this little white
169. 7:01ball that moves around.
170. 7:03Uh
171. 7:04again, because I was boxing and when
172. 7:07you're
173. 7:07tanking, you don't see much other than
174. 7:11uh the dragon's feet and you know,
175. 7:15it's harder to see. Uh you'll see and
176. 7:18again, probably making excuses for
177. 7:21myself.
178. 7:22Um
179. 7:23it goes away at after certain point and
180. 7:25then just kill the dragon. All right.
181. 7:27So, let's look at the video and do some
182. 7:29commentary as it happens.
183. 7:35All right. Let's see. Do we have it on
184. 7:37two times speed? Okay. So, this is the
185. 7:39start event here. I'm just showing where
186. 7:41the gilded is. If you look on the map,
187. 7:44it's in the southeast part of the room.
188. 7:46We activate it. We kill the two ads
189. 7:48here. Reason why is because we want to
190. 7:51get on this gilded thing as quick as
191. 7:53possible.
192. 7:54You'll see my bard is at the zone in
193. 7:57just chilling over there on the map.
194. 7:59All right. So, this is twice the speed.
195. 8:01This is uh
196. 8:0311-minute uh mission video. So, it
197. 8:06should be fiveish minutes.
198. 8:08So, killing killing killing.
199. 8:10The ads themselves, they have some okay
200. 8:13points. Again, we're just doing this
201. 8:15with Yatov, Allison, and uh Somarks.
202. 8:20Allison is our berserker. Yatov is our
203. 8:22ranger. And the cleric and warrior which
204. 8:24are myself and the bard that's not
205. 8:27really participating.
206. 8:30Okay. Those two ads are dead. We're the
207. 8:34guys are on the gilded. You'll see I'm
208. 8:35alt-tabbing stuff just to check.
209. 8:43Gilded is going to die. Then we're going
210. 8:45to get our
211. 8:47stuff going. Here's the guardians. Oh,
212. 8:50very important. The guardians spawn
213. 8:51where the soldiers were.
214. 8:53So, we're trying to spot here uh to
215. 8:56hopefully avoid the little red orb thing
216. 8:59that moves around in the room. And
217. 9:01you'll see that it fails miserably. It
218. 9:03actually spawns on this spot.
219. 9:07Anyway, we're we're continuing to switch
220. 9:08it. You see he's charging Yatov. And I'm
221. 9:11taunting off him.
222. 9:16Keep on going.
223. 9:28I really shouldn't have done the text
224. 9:30box block, but
225. 9:31it you'll have to take my word for it.
226. 9:33I'm doing the emotes as they happen.
227. 9:43It's probably better if full screen.
228. 9:46All right. So, you see it's charging
229. 9:47Generax. So, I just moved my cleric up
230. 9:49closer to me.
231. 9:50And then
232. 9:52you do the taunts.
233. 9:56Before the hitboxes were really tiny,
234. 9:59they made it better. It's still not
235. 10:01great, but it's better.
236. 10:04All right, so here I'm saying something
237. 10:08that
238. 10:09I don't really
239. 10:09like the magic.
240. 10:12So I did the manipulator one. If you see
241. 10:14up top here, this is the suffering dot.
242. 10:16So you'll have to pick which thing you
243. 10:19want to deal with, either the defensive
244. 10:21thing you like there'll be a chance that
245. 10:23you get two or the other and then you'll
246. 10:25have to deal with it for the cool down
247. 10:27of calling the dragons, which is again
248. 10:2945 seconds. So that was the achievement
249. 10:31fail there.
250. 10:32Uh because of the red aura.
251. 10:34So
252. 10:35the east side is bad northeast side is
253. 10:37bad.
254. 10:39All right, so here I called silver ring
255. 10:41for the pest, I believe. Yeah, so you'll
256. 10:44see the pest run away.
257. 10:46And I did do the curing at some point.
258. 10:53All right. No, silver ring was the
259. 10:56curing and then the pests I got off tank
260. 10:58a little bit. So we're just dealing with
261. 11:00the ads.
262. 11:06Oh, there goes Harledar brazen
263. 11:09makes them run away.
264. 11:12All right, so manipulator and suffering
265. 11:14dot. So which one do I pick? And we
266. 11:17realized that red crap is bad there. So
267. 11:20we tried the southeast and this seemed
268. 11:22to have been better. So when you start
269. 11:24the event basically at the gilded and
270. 11:27then just move a little bit east to
271. 11:28southeast should
272. 11:30be better.
273. 11:32All right, so I'm doing this. I just did
274. 11:33the suffering one. You saw it just drop
275. 11:36off.
276. 11:43And we continue to go. Once the
277. 11:45manipulator the
278. 11:47dragon comes in, you could kill that
279. 11:50last. Focus on the guardians. The
280. 11:52manipulator is probably less important.
281. 11:59This is the part where I said the floor
282. 12:01gets all red. There's no hiding from it.
283. 12:04This is a that's around 20-ish percent.
284. 12:06So you just got to heal through.
285. 12:10Oh, forgot to mention mercs are totally
286. 12:12useless here. They do not have the aura
287. 12:15blocker.
288. 12:17Um
289. 12:17so they just go out of mana and whatnot.
290. 12:20So the only merc that may possibly have
291. 12:23any use is going to be the mercenary um
292. 12:26rogue one.
293. 12:28Okay, so you saw I have the thralls here
294. 12:31again. So I got to summon Harledar, I
295. 12:33believe. Then eventually he'll come and
296. 12:35then they go away.
297. 12:37So last ad is coming up.
298. 12:41There goes 5%.
299. 12:50Again, the ads must die. You see the
300. 12:52boss's hit point locked.
301. 12:56General Thorsen cannot be harmed. Huh,
302. 12:59why did it go in the
303. 13:00minimize? Oh, okay. Anyway.
304. 13:08And we're like kill it, kill it, kill
305. 13:10it.
306. 13:11And right, so that's dead and
307. 13:14dragon should be dying.
308. 13:17And there you go. Okay, not the
309. 13:19prettiest and you know, but I wanted to
310. 13:22get you guys first early look at what it
311. 13:26probably will be when it launches.
312. 13:29Uh
313. 13:30again, you do need the aura blockers for
314. 13:32this all the mission. So
315. 13:35uh I got to figure out how to get the
316. 13:36first tier one. I hope it's not just
317. 13:38doing hunters uh for every tier, but we
318. 13:41will find out.
319. 13:43Again, that once I get confirmation
320. 13:45we'll talk about the aura blockers. All
