Best Values - SP Population and Value Analysis Part 2 (One Piece TCG) — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00Hello and welcome to One Piece of
- 0:02Insight. In today's video, we will be
- 0:04taking another look at more SPs to look
- 0:07at their population and see where we
- 0:08might be able to find some value. This
- 0:10is essentially part two of the video
- 0:12that we released on Thursday. Also, stay
- 0:14tuned to the end because I'm going to be
- 0:15giving a summary of my favorite SPs
- 0:18across all of the sets. As always, this
- 0:20is intended to be interesting and
- 0:22informative, but not financial advice.
- 0:24So, with that, let's jump right in.
- 0:25We'll start with a quick refresher of
- 0:27typical populations for cards. So, for
- 0:29mangas, you have between 1 and 10,000,
- 0:31depending on what set you're in. For
- 0:33SPs, which is what we're going to be
- 0:34focusing on in this video, the
- 0:35population ranges from about 4,000 to
- 0:3712,500.
- 0:39Then we have leaders that are slightly
- 0:41more common than that at 8,000 to
- 0:4225,000. And finally, we have alt arts
- 0:45ranging from about 6,000 to 35,000. I'm
- 0:47going to be using a color-coded system
- 0:49to talk about value and to talk about
- 0:51rarities. Yellow generally means I'm
- 0:53okay with overpaying. It's not great.
- 0:55Blue is sort of a middle tier. I think
- 0:56it's reasonable. Light green is pretty
- 0:58good, you know, a fair price with
- 1:00upside. And then, uh dark green
- 1:02obviously is, you know, the best of the
- 1:03best.
- 1:04So, the range of population of SPs, as I
- 1:07said, ranges from about 4,000 to 12,500.
- 1:10So, anything under 5,000, I'm going to
- 1:11say is a very small population. Uh
- 1:13anything that goes between 5,000 and 7.5
- 1:16thousand, I'm going to say is pretty
- 1:17small. Anything above that is going to
- 1:19be medium. So, 7.5 to 9K. And then
- 1:22finally, we have our large populations
- 1:24of SPs, which is 9,000 to 12.5K. Okay,
- 1:27so in the last video, we went through
- 1:29the sets where I feel like I have a
- 1:30pretty good sense of what the population
- 1:32is. But in this video, we're going to
- 1:33mostly talk about sets that I feel like
- 1:35I don't have a good understanding of
- 1:37what the population is. Typically, this
- 1:38is because the sets are too new for us
- 1:40to be able to use the methods we
- 1:41typically use to estimate population.
- 1:44So, I'm going to give my best guess. I'm
- 1:46going to explain to you how I came up
- 1:48with that reading the limited data that
- 1:49we have available to us. So, but
- 1:51understand to take all of this with a
- 1:53massive grain of salt, please. So, let's
- 1:55start by talking about PRB02. And PRB02
- 1:58is one of the most confusing sets that
- 2:00has ever been printed from a trying to
- 2:01understand pull rates perspective. The
- 2:04big issue here is the Sanji manga. So,
- 2:06for every single set that we've looked
- 2:08at, except for this one, which is why
- 2:10it's so confusing,
- 2:12mangas appear to be one in three cases
- 2:14unless there are multiple mangas, and
- 2:16then those are divided, right? So, if
- 2:19there's three mangas, then they're one
- 2:21in nine cases. If there's four, they're
- 2:22one in 12 cases. Obviously, like the
- 2:24special mangas have different rarity,
- 2:26but like the Sanji is the first normal
- 2:29manga that we've seen that does not
- 2:31appear to have that rarity. And so, for
- 2:33that reason, it's super difficult for me
- 2:35to get an estimate of how many there
- 2:38actually are. My best guess is that it's
- 2:40like, you know, one in seven cases or
- 2:42something, but that is like basically
- 2:44just a guess. So, I wanted to come up
- 2:46with a different way to try to calculate
- 2:47the population for PRB02. And so, I
- 2:50looked at the PSA and BGS populations of
- 2:52Gum-Gum Giant and the Luffy SP. That's a
- 2:55little bit flawed because it's like a
- 2:57newer set, and those cards aren't as
- 2:59expensive as the manga, so it's hard to
- 3:01know what the population would be. So, I
- 3:03ended up taking three different metrics,
- 3:04and I'll tell you what all of them are,
- 3:06and you can tell me which one you think
- 3:07is the best. So, the first option I
- 3:09looked at was to assume that 33% of the
- 3:12cards have been graded by PSA or BGS.
- 3:15Now, this is below our normal metric of
- 3:17around 50%, but that is for cards that
- 3:20are much older, cards that are more
- 3:21expensive. I thought this was like the
- 3:23highest possible percentage that I could
- 3:26justify. That would give us a number of
- 3:274,300. I also looked at an assumption of
- 3:3025% of these being graded, which I think
- 3:33is much more likely, frankly, than the
- 3:3533%. That gave us a total of 5,600. And
- 3:39then, just to add a third data point to
- 3:40the mix, I looked at the TCGplayer sales
- 3:43for the Luffy SP and used the metric
- 3:46that I used in the promo video, and that
- 3:48gave us a number of 7,600.
- 3:51So, that leaves us with either this is a
- 3:54very small population, a small
- 3:56population, or a medium population. I
- 3:59recognize not very helpful.
- 4:01If I had to guess, I would say that this
- 4:03is like
- 4:05in the very small to small population
- 4:08category. And the reason [snorts] is
- 4:10because while I think there actually is
- 4:11a fair amount of PRB02 that was printed,
- 4:13you essentially have nine cards that
- 4:16qualify as SPs. So, the other thing
- 4:17that's weird about PRB02 is that unlike
- 4:20most other sets where the event cards
- 4:22are characterized as alt arts, the event
- 4:24cards in PRB02 are characterized as SPs.
- 4:27So, if you open your case of PRB02, you
- 4:29could get two of the event mangas, you
- 4:31could get two of the SPs that look like
- 4:33Luffy, you could get one of each. I even
- 4:35saw a case that only had one SP and had
- 4:37three gold on. I don't know what to make
- 4:38of that. I'm assuming that's just a
- 4:39collation error.
- 4:41But [laughter]
- 4:42PRB02 is kind of a mess to try to
- 4:44understand. So, all that is to say, for
- 4:47the purposes of my analysis here, I'm
- 4:48assuming that this is like, you know, a
- 4:51small population of SPs. Because there
- 4:54are so many SPs in the set, even though
- 4:56it has a reasonably large print run, I
- 4:57still think it's holding the population
- 4:59of each individual card down pretty low.
- 5:01So, Gum-Gum Giant, obviously $900 for an
- 5:04SP is pretty expensive. This is one of
- 5:07the most expensive SPs that are out
- 5:08there. I don't think that's like
- 5:10ridiculous given that this is probably
- 5:12one of the lower print run SPs, but I
- 5:14don't necessarily think it's like
- 5:15undervalued. The big thing that I think
- 5:17is undervalued here is this Luffy. You
- 5:19know, we see Luffy prices going way more
- 5:22expensive in a lot of other categories.
- 5:24I know that he has a lot of SPs.
- 5:26I know that like the big things that are
- 5:28spiking in the world of Luffy are like
- 5:29the mangas and the promo cards, but I
- 5:33don't really understand why it hasn't
- 5:34translated as well to the SPs. I think
- 5:37for a small print run, this being only
- 5:39$620 is like wildly undervalued.
- 5:43Now, I will admit that I'm biased. I
- 5:45think this is one of the coolest looking
- 5:46cards, in person, uh that I've ever
- 5:48seen. But, even if I set my own personal
- 5:51biases aside, this is less than the
- 5:53Luffy wanted poster, even though I think
- 5:55the population of the Luffy wanted
- 5:56poster could easily be close to double
- 5:58this. I just think that this is really,
- 6:00really underpriced at $620.
- 6:03Uh and obviously, like, you know,
- 6:04there's playability aspects of Gum Gum
- 6:06Giant and things like that to take into
- 6:08account, but the fact that it's so far
- 6:10below that, I think it's pretty
- 6:11surprising and unjustified. Then we have
- 6:13My Era Begins. Like, I don't really have
- 6:15a great comp um for what this card
- 6:17should cost, to be honest. So, I'm going
- 6:19to go ahead and say that because it's
- 6:21reasonably similar to the other event
- 6:23manga SPs in PRB-02, that it's fairly
- 6:25valued, but I don't really have a strong
- 6:27sense of what I think this one should be
- 6:29worth. So, moving on to OP-13. So,
- 6:31OP-13, like OP-09, had two different
- 6:34types of SPs, and you were going to get
- 6:36one of each in a case. So, you had the
- 6:38gold background, like the Luffy on the
- 6:40right, and then you had the wanted
- 6:41posters, of course. There were fewer
- 6:42wanted posters than there were of the
- 6:44gold background ones, so the wanted
- 6:46posters are less rare. So, my assumption
- 6:49was to take the population from OP-09.
- 6:53If I did that, then it would be 6,400
- 6:55for the Luffy with the purple
- 6:57background, and 9,450 for the wanted
- 7:00posters. But, I also feel like OP-13
- 7:02probably had a bigger print run than
- 7:04OP-09. I don't have evidence to support
- 7:07that, other than just my observations
- 7:10about how much was available. So, I
- 7:12added another data point of assuming it
- 7:15was 25% larger. If that were the case,
- 7:18then the purple Luffy would be a
- 7:19medium-sized print run, and the wanted
- 7:21posters would be a large print run, uh
- 7:24one of the largest print runs that we've
- 7:25ever seen. So,
- 7:27for that reason, I think that the Ace
- 7:30wanted poster is still too expensive. I
- 7:32know it's come down quite a long ways,
- 7:34and I know that the new cases have an
- 7:36errata version, which in theory makes
- 7:38this at least some amount more scarce,
- 7:40cuz the original print run of OP3N was
- 7:42massive, frankly. Um, but I just think
- 7:45it's too niche. I don't know that people
- 7:47are going to care that much. So, I think
- 7:49in the short to medium term this
- 7:50probably comes down further, but maybe
- 7:52I'm just underestimating how many people
- 7:54really care about error cards. I
- 7:55personally think this is the least
- 7:57desirable of the Luffy, especially given
- 7:59the population of it. So, I'm not
- 8:00surprised that this is the least
- 8:02expensive of the Luffy cards. And then
- 8:03the same thing with the purple Luffy
- 8:05here. Um, obviously this used to be way
- 8:08more expensive, but I think the size of
- 8:09the print runs really hurting it here
- 8:11compared to some of the other Luffy's.
- 8:13Although at the same time, given that
- 8:15its population is probably between like
- 8:176,400 and 8,000,
- 8:19I'm a little bit surprised that it's
- 8:21this much less than the OP15 one. I know
- 8:23people like that one better, but the gap
- 8:25has gotten pretty wide. So, again, I
- 8:27think this is a pretty fair price. I
- 8:29wouldn't say that it's undervalued, but
- 8:30I could see an argument why it might be
- 8:32more expensive. Moving on to OP14. So,
- 8:35again, I'm trying to guess the size of
- 8:37the print run here. I used OP11 as a
- 8:39benchmark for what I think the print run
- 8:41might be for OP14, but as with all of
- 8:44the rest of these, I don't really have
- 8:45any good data to substantiate it. So,
- 8:47I'm just using it like as a straw person
- 8:50to try to have a conversation about what
- 8:52I think these might be worth. So, if
- 8:54that's the case, because EB04 and OP14
- 8:57were both in the same set, you had more
- 8:59SPs than usual. Unlike OP13, where you
- 9:02were going to get one of each type of
- 9:04SP, these appear to be like completely
- 9:06randomized. So, I assume that all of the
- 9:09SPs in this set have approximately the
- 9:10same size print run. You know, so we
- 9:13have the Zoro here at $950.
- 9:15Obviously this is up from its recent
- 9:17bottom. I do think this is one of the
- 9:19most desirable SPs, and I think the fact
- 9:21that it's like either a small or a
- 9:23medium print run justifies this price.
- 9:25So, this feels pretty fair to me. The
- 9:27Boa, I'll be honest, I went back and
- 9:29forth between whether I thought this was
- 9:31like a tiny bit undervalued or whether I
- 9:33thought this was just like a totally
- 9:35fair price for it. I landed on it being
- 9:37a tiny bit undervalued given how much
- 9:39the other Boa cards are, but I also
- 9:41think it's possible that like Boa cards
- 9:43across the board are a little bit
- 9:44overvalued and maybe that this is the
- 9:46only one that isn't. So, I would just
- 9:48take this with a grain of caution. I
- 9:49think that while I could see an argument
- 9:51for this being higher, I don't think
- 9:53it's like wildly undervalued. And
- 9:55finally, we have the Mihawk here, which
- 9:57I think could be like a few dollars too
- 9:58expensive, but seems to fall basically
- 10:01in the range of what we expect for like
- 10:02a second third tier character with solid
- 10:05art in this type of population. So,
- 10:07moving on to EBO3, which is I'm sure
- 10:09what a lot of people have been waiting
- 10:10for. So, my guess for EBO3 here was
- 10:14based on two sets of graded card
- 10:16population assumptions. As I did with
- 10:19PRBO2, I looked at an assumption of 33%,
- 10:22I looked at an assumption of 25%.
- 10:24Given how new this set is, it is really
- 10:27really hard to tell uh what percentage
- 10:29of the population has been graded. It
- 10:31could be much lower than this. So, the
- 10:33population could be much higher, but I
- 10:36think given what's been graded so far,
- 10:39it seems pretty reasonable to assume
- 10:41that the population here is in the very
- 10:43small category or maybe in the low end
- 10:46of the small category. Either way, given
- 10:49that there were so many of the SPs in
- 10:51this set and that I think it was a lower
- 10:54print run than most other sets, even
- 10:56though it was like definitely a bigger
- 10:58print run than the other EBs, I do think
- 11:00that these are genuinely pretty rare and
- 11:03there's not going to be like a massive
- 11:04population of these. That said, you
- 11:07know, these are by far the most
- 11:09expensive of the SPs and I am not sure
- 11:12that that is justified by the
- 11:13population. This Boa went from being
- 11:16like $900 back to like $1,700 in the
- 11:19span of 2 weeks. I do agree that it is
- 11:21relatively rare um and I do agree
- 11:24obviously that there are a lot of Boa
- 11:26collectors who are going to find this
- 11:27card desirable, but I think it being
- 11:29like $600 more expensive than the Boa
- 11:31Lisa, like this strikes me as too much.
- 11:34I personally think the Boa Hancock is a
- 11:36more desirable card even though it has a
- 11:37larger print run. I feel more between
- 11:40like the thousand and maybe thirteen
- 11:41hundred dollar range feels reasonable
- 11:43for this card. The other thing I would
- 11:45say too is that I kind of expect this to
- 11:46be the third most expensive of these
- 11:49three cards and it currently is the most
- 11:50expensive. So that's part of the reason
- 11:52why I think it's likely overpriced. Next
- 11:54up we have the Nico Robin and I'll be
- 11:55honest I feel less confident in my
- 11:56assessment of this one both because I
- 11:58think that this is like
- 12:01more standout art of Robin who's had
- 12:03fewer cards than Boa and also because at
- 12:06fifteen hundred dollars it's like much
- 12:07closer to what I think is like a
- 12:08reasonable range for these cards. To me
- 12:10this should be either the most expensive
- 12:12or the second most expensive of these so
- 12:14like if this had been thirteen hundred
- 12:17dollars maybe even fourteen hundred
- 12:18dollars I could have argued that it was
- 12:20reasonably priced but I do think it is
- 12:22still pretty expensive at fifteen
- 12:23hundred. I would personally expect it to
- 12:25fall lower but again
- 12:28when you're talking about a relatively
- 12:29small population it's really really hard
- 12:30to tell. And then finally we have the
- 12:32Nami which again I would have expected
- 12:34to be either the most or the second most
- 12:35expensive so at thirteen hundred dollars
- 12:38I still think it's like a little bit on
- 12:39the pricey side but I think it's much
- 12:41closer to what I think the fair value
- 12:43should be for these being in like the
- 12:45thousand to thirteen hundred dollar
- 12:46range. You know maybe I could see an
- 12:48argument up to fifteen hundred dollars
- 12:50if it turns out the population really is
- 12:52on the lower end of these. Next up we
- 12:54have OP15. Now as with OP14 I used the
- 12:57same assumptions
- 12:58that we took the OP11 population and we
- 13:01used that as one assumption and then we
- 13:02took the OP11 population and increased
- 13:04it by 25% to make our other assumption
- 13:07so I think these SPs are likely either a
- 13:09small or a medium population given that
- 13:12there are nine of them in the set same
- 13:13as with OP14. I think the Boa here is
- 13:17pretty reasonable. I think it's probably
- 13:18slightly more desirable than the OP14
- 13:21Boa but which you prefer I feel like is
- 13:23kind of a toss up so I think the fact
- 13:25that it's similarly priced means it's
- 13:27pretty fair. This Zeus card, part of me
- 13:29feels it's like a little bit expensive
- 13:31because it's Zeus and not Nami, but at
- 13:33the same time like obviously this is a
- 13:35very funny scene and you have a whole
- 13:36bunch straw hats on the card, so I do
- 13:38understand the argument for its
- 13:39desirability. So, I'm going to go ahead
- 13:41and say that I think that this is like
- 13:43fairly priced with where it's at. And
- 13:45then we have the Luffy here.
- 13:47Again, I'm like a little bit surprised
- 13:50that this Luffy is this expensive. Like
- 13:52I would so much rather have the PRB02 uh
- 13:55gold Luffy compared to this one and
- 13:57that's even before considering the fact
- 13:58that there's likely fewer of those than
- 14:00there are of these.
- 14:01But, you know, I think what we've seen
- 14:03so far is that people really like this
- 14:05artistic style. So, I think if that
- 14:06holds, I wouldn't be surprised if it
- 14:08stays around this price. So, I think
- 14:10this is probably reasonably fair even if
- 14:13I think it's like a little bit
- 14:14expensive. And then finally, we have
- 14:16OP16. So, to guess the population of
- 14:18OP16, you'll never guess, I did the same
- 14:20thing as with OP14 and 15. I took OP11
- 14:24and I took two sets of assumptions, just
- 14:26OP11, OP11 plus 25%. But, because
- 14:29there's only six SPs in this set, that
- 14:32gives us a much larger population of
- 14:34between 10,000 to 12,500. So, I think
- 14:37it's fair to say that these are some of
- 14:39the most populous SPs that we've ever
- 14:42gotten in the game right up there with
- 14:43OP05. And so, for that reason, I think
- 14:47that this Robin having fallen back down
- 14:50to $720 is pretty fair. I think between
- 14:54650, $750
- 14:57given this population is probably a
- 14:59pretty reasonable price for this. Just
- 15:01seeing how many I think are out there if
- 15:03this assumption holds, you know, it's
- 15:05really really hard to say, right?
- 15:07Because we know that there is no
- 15:08collation for OP16. Whether that's
- 15:11intentional or unintentional, it's
- 15:13really hard to know how many of these
- 15:14are out there. So, for that reason, it
- 15:17probably should be a lower price than I
- 15:19initially assumed based on the data that
- 15:20we had. So, you know, I'm sort of
- 15:22revising my target here to $650 to $750,
- 15:27you know, down from like $800 to $1,000.
- 15:30But I still think it's fairly priced at
- 15:31like 720. Then we have the Ace. This
- 15:33one's a little bit tough, too, cuz I do
- 15:35think this is the most desirable Ace SP
- 15:37that we've gotten, but acknowledging
- 15:39that it's a really big print run, I'm
- 15:40comparing it to the Law from OP04, which
- 15:44again, like there might be almost twice
- 15:46as many of these Aces as there are of
- 15:48that Law, and that Law is only $220. But
- 15:51at the same time, I also think that Law
- 15:52is really underrated. So, where do we
- 15:55land with that? I think somewhere in the
- 15:57ballpark of $200 to $300 is still
- 16:00probably a pretty fair price for this
- 16:02SP. So, I think at 265, I would consider
- 16:06it to be fairly valued. I wouldn't be
- 16:07shocked if it falls a little bit more,
- 16:09but I don't think it's like crazy at
- 16:10this price.
- 16:11And then we have the Katakuri, which at
- 16:13$165, I think is too much. You know,
- 16:16whether you love this art or whether
- 16:18you're like me and it's not your
- 16:19favorite, if I compare this to the
- 16:21Whitebeard from OP04, having about half
- 16:24the population of this one, and that's
- 16:26only $130. Again, I do think the
- 16:29Whitebeard is underrated, but I think
- 16:31$165 for this also has to be too much,
- 16:34right? Even if the Whitebeard was $200
- 16:37or $250,
- 16:39you know, I would still expect this to
- 16:40be half the price of that at like 125.
- 16:43So, for all of those reasons, I think
- 16:45that the Katakuri is probably going to
- 16:46continue to fall over the next couple
- 16:48months. You know, I still like the SPs,
- 16:50but I do have to acknowledge that there
- 16:53are way more of these out there than I
- 16:54had initially thought before I put some
- 16:57numbers behind it. So, for that reason,
- 16:58I do understand the argument for
- 17:00exercising caution, but at the same
- 17:01time, I do think there's going to be a
- 17:02lot of demand, particularly for the Miss
- 17:05All Sunday and for the Ace. So, it'll be
- 17:07interesting to see where it goes. So, in
- 17:09terms of the SPs that I like the value
- 17:11of the most right now, you'll notice a
- 17:12common trend across them. So, first,
- 17:14we're going to start with the four
- 17:15stars. You know, first, we have OP10, we
- 17:18have the Sanji and the Usopp. Uh and
- 17:21then we have OP12 with the Zoro Jurouro.
- 17:23And then finally, OP14 with the Boa
- 17:25Hancock. What do all these things have
- 17:27in common? They all are relatively
- 17:29popular or main characters where this is
- 17:32their lowest price SP. And while I think
- 17:35there are some reasons why these might
- 17:38be the lowest price SP, particularly for
- 17:40the Zoro, I do think that this creates a
- 17:42pretty stable floor. As the game
- 17:44continues to grow, as more people become
- 17:47interested, as some characters like
- 17:48Sanji and Usopp maybe become more
- 17:50popular, as the manga evolves in the
- 17:53case of Usopp, or as uh the live action
- 17:55gets more seasons in the case of Sanji,
- 17:58I think there could be a potentially
- 17:59more of an audience for these cards. So,
- 18:02none of these cards are like wildly high
- 18:04population, uh and none of these cards
- 18:06are wildly expensive. So, I consider
- 18:08them to be a little bit lower on the
- 18:10risk side while still retaining some
- 18:12potential reward. You know, I think the
- 18:14Boa is probably the riskiest here just
- 18:16because it's the most expensive, but
- 18:17given that it is the cheapest Boa, and
- 18:19we've seen that people are willing to
- 18:20spend a lot for Boa, I do think that
- 18:22mitigates the risk uh there a little bit
- 18:24as well. So, moving on to the cards that
- 18:26I would consider to be five stars here,
- 18:29uh again, we're looking at things that I
- 18:30would mostly characterize as medium
- 18:32reward, lower risk, maybe a little bit
- 18:35higher reward than the other ones given
- 18:37where their prices currently are. But
- 18:38we're talking about a similar category
- 18:40of card. We're talking about reasonably
- 18:41popular characters that are either like
- 18:44the lowest price SP they have, or in
- 18:47some cases have like really, really
- 18:49spectacular art in my opinion. And I
- 18:51think for me, what distinguishes these
- 18:53from the previous slide is that these
- 18:56have really stand out pieces of art. You
- 18:58know, I think that like this image of
- 19:00Law could become more iconic in the
- 19:02future. Same thing with the Newgate. I
- 19:04think if they keep redoing this style as
- 19:07they did with OP16, that will actually
- 19:09create more demand for the OP04 ones
- 19:12because you'll want to have a bunch of
- 19:13different characters that go together
- 19:15and some more artistic styles. You know,
- 19:17I can imagine having like a portrait
- 19:19gallery of my favorite characters
- 19:21in this style. So, I like the potential
- 19:23for those reasons. This buggy card, I
- 19:25think really stands out as being
- 19:27particularly interesting in its artistic
- 19:29design. Again, this was a really hot
- 19:31card when it came out and it's fallen
- 19:33off a bunch since then. So, I do think
- 19:35it has potential to grow in the future.
- 19:37And then finally, this Ace. I think this
- 19:38Ace looks amazing in person. I think
- 19:40it's a really cool style for the Ace in
- 19:42particular, given that Ace is made of
- 19:44fire.
- 19:46I think this card captures that really,
- 19:47really well. So again, I don't think any
- 19:49of these are like massive upside. None
- 19:51of these are going to be like grails in
- 19:53the future. But given that they're
- 19:54popular characters, they're relatively
- 19:56cheap, and I think they have standout
- 19:58art, I think at these prices, they have
- 20:00pretty low risk and therefore still also
- 20:03have some medium upside. And then
- 20:04finally, we have our two cards which I
- 20:06consider to be the highest upside of the
- 20:08bunch. There's the O-Nami card from OP07
- 20:12sitting at $400.
- 20:14Um this is still the cheapest of the
- 20:17Nami SPs, so I think it sort of fits the
- 20:19criteria of the previous two. But I
- 20:22think one difference here is that this
- 20:24one I think has more potential for
- 20:25appreciation because it is so
- 20:27interesting. Looking at how popular the
- 20:29Zeus card is, because it has other
- 20:30characters in it, because it has like a
- 20:32really fun sort of imagery from the
- 20:35anime, I think this checks all of those
- 20:37boxes as well. Obviously not as many
- 20:40straw hats and not as popular characters
- 20:42in the background here, but I do think
- 20:43the art on this one is really, really
- 20:45amazing. So, this is the type of thing
- 20:47that I think could be a must-have for
- 20:48collectors in the future. And I think
- 20:50this has potential to be much closer in
- 20:53price to her other SPs. You know, if we
- 20:55compare this to the OP05 SP, again, I
- 20:58know that OP05 is iconic, but like I
- 21:00think the art on this one is frankly
- 21:02better. And there were twice as many as
- 21:04the OP05 ones as there are of these,
- 21:06approximately. So, for all of those
- 21:08reasons I tend to think that this is a
- 21:09pretty good value at $400. And while
- 21:12there is some risk given that it is
- 21:13already a little bit expensive, I do
- 21:15think it has a higher potential for
- 21:16reward than the other ones we've looked
- 21:18at so far.
- 21:19And then there's the one that I think is
- 21:21the highest potential reward of all the
- 21:22cards that we've looked at, and that is
- 21:25the PRB02 Luffy SP at $620. At $620 it
- 21:30already has run up a fair amount, so I
- 21:32could understand why somebody might push
- 21:34back and say, "Well, you know, this used
- 21:35to be a pretty cheap card uh and now
- 21:37it's really like tripled in price. Why
- 21:39do you still think this is undervalued?"
- 21:41Of all the SPs that we've looked at
- 21:43that, you know, are under $700,
- 21:47I think this one has the most potential
- 21:48to be seen as like a grail in the
- 21:50future, especially if it turns out that
- 21:53PRB02 does have a pretty low population
- 21:56for SPs. Like I said, I'm not super
- 21:58confident in what the population here
- 22:00is. It's somewhere between very low and
- 22:03on the low side of average. But if this
- 22:05ends up being a pretty scarce card, this
- 22:07card just looks so amazing in person. I
- 22:10do think this is one of those SPs that
- 22:12has the potential to elevate at least up
- 22:14to like Bubble Zoro territory, if not
- 22:17above. And so for all of those reasons,
- 22:19I do like the upside of this card better
- 22:21than any of the other cards that we've
- 22:22looked at relative to its price. So
- 22:24that's all I have for today. As always,
