  3. 0:05administration after it rescinded a PhD
  4. 0:08program offer to X inmate Michelle Jones
  5. 0:10and withdrew a fellowship invitation to
  6. 0:13convicted leaker Chelsea Manning they're
  7. 0:15upset I'll tell you well just give the
  8. 0:17thoughts of Charlie cook with
  9. 0:19turning-point USA Charlie come on in
  10. 0:21what's your thoughts on that situation
  11. 0:23at Harvard you know when you have this
  12. 0:25many Harvard professors upset something
  13. 0:27must be going right in all seriousness I
  14. 0:30mean come on Harvard is is known as as
  15. 0:32the beacon of American you know
  16. 0:35educational kind of advancement of these
  17. 0:39ideas and this is the best that they can
  18. 0:40do I'm glad they rescinded this and look
  19. 0:42instead of trying to get convicted
  20. 0:44leakers or former criminals to come
  21. 0:46speak at Harvard and lecture why don't
  22. 0:48they fight for intellectual diversity
  23. 0:50you know fight for conservatives to come
  24. 0:52to Harvard or get some different type of
  25. 0:54ideas you know it's more than entirely
  26. 0:56possible to be a political science
  27. 0:58student at Harvard University for four
  28. 1:00years and not hear one good thing about
  29. 1:02a conservative idea for more than ten
  30. 1:05minutes think about that so I don't care
  31. 1:07what these 150 professors think it means
  32. 1:09nothing to me and the fact that they're
  33. 1:11kind of in a cross firing squad and
  34. 1:13actually makes me chuckle a little bit
  35. 1:14well I tell you what I can meet your 150
  36. 1:17uh professors and raise it 277 with UC
  37. 1:20Berkeley the professors there assigning
  38. 1:23a petition to boycott free speech week
  39. 1:25another example of you know we don't
  40. 1:28like your message so therefore we're not
  41. 1:29gonna allow you to speak what's going on
  42. 1:32on college campuses especially at
  43. 1:33Berkeley the you know the cradle if you
  44. 1:35like a free speech used to be the cradle
  45. 1:38of free situations yes sirs they're
  46. 1:40saying oh we're gonna boycott free
  47. 1:41speech week not because it's you know
  48. 1:43anything racist or incendiary but
  49. 1:45because they disagree with the people
  50. 1:47that are speaking now it's very funny
  51. 1:49they're gonna have to pay $300,000
  52. 1:52actually a total cost a six hundred
  53. 1:54thousand dollars to keep the campus safe
  54. 1:56so free speech is not really free
  55. 1:58anymore it's actually quite expensive
  56. 2:00this is exactly what the left wants to
  57. 2:02do that they want to make it so
  58. 2:04difficult and cumbersome to bring
  59. 2:07conservative speakers and people who
  60. 2:09give conservative lectures on campus
  61. 2:11that universities cite the cost
  62. 2:13an issue not to have intellectual
  63. 2:14diversity and so I always lean back and
  64. 2:17I say look if you're a conservative
  65. 2:18student on campus you have to sit
  66. 2:20through all this left this nonsense
  67. 2:22right and garbage for years why can't
  68. 2:24the left be okay with an optional
  69. 2:26conservative speaker to come on campus
  70. 2:28well all I can say is they must be
  71. 2:29incredibly threatened by those
  72. 2:31conservative ideas and thoughts so much
  73. 2:33so that they want to clamp it down
  74. 2:34otherwise should give you a shout out
  75. 2:36President Trump tweeted a thank you to
  76. 2:39you after you commented on his UN speech
  77. 2:42that's kind of nice to get a shout out
  78. 2:44from the president isn't it charlie not
  79. 2:46a bad ways not a bad way to start the
  80. 2:48morning you know love the president
  81. 2:49support his agenda and I think his
  82. 2:50speech at the UN was absolutely historic
  83. 2:52they both historical though you know the
  84. 2:54usual critics came in dark and dangerous
  85. 2:56said Hillary Clinton the French say you
  86. 2:59can't talk about Iran like that and
  87. 3:00they're on you deal but it was unique in
  88. 3:03as much it was very bold and you think
  89. 3:05very effective and most definitely my
  90. 3:08favorite part of the entire speech was
  91. 3:10how he targeted Venezuelan socialism you
  92. 3:13know you look at the rise of socialism
  93. 3:15throughout Central and South America and
  94. 3:16I was completely destroyed once vibrant
  95. 3:19rich countries such as Venezuela and
  96. 3:21President Trump was unafraid on the
  97. 3:23national stage that could to call out
  98. 3:24these failed Marxist ideologies and I
  99. 3:26think we need more of that from our
  100. 3:28Western leaders you're not gonna get it
  101. 3:29from Trudeau you're not gonna get it
  102. 3:31from the European leaders and that's
  103. 3:32what I love most about his UN speech one
  104. 3:34last one for you Charlie what are your
  105. 3:37thoughts on the president reaching out
  106. 3:39to Democrats and getting the the
  107. 3:41spending plan in place for the RET till
  108. 3:43the end of the year raising the dead
  109. 3:44Lehman all of that stuff purely because
  110. 3:46he couldn't get his own party to work
  111. 3:48with him certainly upset those on the
  112. 3:50far right what does Charlie Koch say so
  113. 3:53I consider myself part of the vast
  114. 3:55right-wing conspiracy but I love it and
  115. 3:56let me tell you why I love it the only
  116. 3:58reason we're gonna have a healthcare
  117. 3:59vote next week is because President
  118. 4:02Trump put pressure on Republican
  119. 4:03leadership by showing he can work with
  120. 4:05the Democrats if there is no deal on the
  121. 4:08debt limit let's be perfectly clear this
  122. 4:10grand cassidy bill would be nowhere so
  123. 4:12he opened up the legislative calendar
  124. 4:13and said all right Republicans show me
  125. 4:15what you can do got the debt limit got
  126. 4:17hurricane funding out of the way you
  127. 4:19you're up and look now the singers theme
  128. 4:21the Republicans work harder than ever
  129. 4:23before you in fact they're complaining
  130. 4:24they have to stay in the halls of
  131. 4:25Congress till 10:00 a.m.
  132. 4:26o'clock like oh we're working really
  133. 4:28hard day there a command this is the
  134. 4:30hardest they've worked if the Country
  135. 4:31Club actually has to become an office
  136. 4:33now but I love it the president
  137. 4:34demonstrated fantastic leadership there
  138. 4:36ok Charlie cook as Stewart likes to
  139. 4:40refer to you the future president of the
  140. 4:41United States and we hope that's true
  141. 4:43Charlie cook thank you so much for
  142. 4:44joining us on this Friday thank you
