3. 0:05other day I literally cried
4. 0:07and a true story and secondly do you
5. 0:10believe that there we have a wage Gap
6. 0:12like a current wage Gap uh between men
7. 0:14and women yeah okay so there is no wage
8. 0:17gap between men and women for women who
9. 0:19are straight out of college and uh and
10. 0:20are single and do not have kids uh the
11. 0:22wage Gap not only does not exist there
12. 0:24is if
13. 0:25anything there is if anything a reverse
14. 0:27wage Gap so according to a study qu in
15. 0:30Time magazine in 2010 women are earning
16. 0:328% more than men in 50 major cities
17. 0:34across the United States on average
18. 0:36coming through out of college um the
19. 0:38truth is that women take more time off
20. 0:40from work they take different jobs than
21. 0:41men uh a lot of high-paying jobs for men
22. 0:43involve men going into really dangerous
23. 0:45places and doing really dangerous things
24. 0:47uh that women either don't want to do or
25. 0:49aren't physically qualified to do I mean
26. 0:51I'm sorry to break it to the left but it
27. 0:52turns out that on average women are not
28. 0:54as strong as men so you know they're
29. 0:56going to be more male firen than than
30. 0:57fire women just as a general rule um you
31. 1:01know when it comes to the the the
32. 1:02reality is that the wage Gap is it
33. 1:05entirely disappears once you factor out
34. 1:08the types of jobs that are being done
35. 1:09the amount of time in the workforce the
36. 1:11amount of time taken off the number of
37. 1:13hours worked my wife again not to use
38. 1:14her as an example for everything my
39. 1:15wife's a perfect example of this she
40. 1:17took off a year uh between her residency
41. 1:20between med school and residency uh she
42. 1:24sorry between second and third year of
43. 1:25medical school she took off a year to
44. 1:27take care of our first baby and then she
45. 1:29took off a few months uh before after
46. 1:31she had our second baby uh before she
47. 1:33went back to residency that I took off a
48. 1:36week both times uh and that's not
49. 1:38because I'm so strong and tough or
50. 1:40because she's so weak and fragile she's
51. 1:41really tough it's because my wife wanted
52. 1:44to spend time with our kids and that was
53. 1:45her choice and thank God we were able to
54. 1:46make that happen so that's not you know
55. 1:49that that that is not a rip on women at
56. 1:51all in fact I think it's glorious that
57. 1:53so many women want to take time out to
58. 1:54do the most important thing that any
59. 1:56human being can do which is raise her
60. 1:57children
