- 0:00Europe is the most important country
- 0:01when you're playing Open Guesser or
- 0:02Geogesser because it shows up the most.
- 0:05It may be the smallest continent, but it
- 0:06does have the most about a countries
- 0:08that have very dense Google coverage and
- 0:09this means that it shows up a lot in the
- 0:11game. So, in this video, we're going
- 0:12through some of the absolute essential
- 0:13tips for each and every single country.
- 0:16Let's get started.
- 0:19[Music]
- 0:21I think the best way to do this is to
- 0:22focus on one panorama specifically and
- 0:24just see how many clues we can find in a
- 0:26particular round. And we're going to
- 0:27start off with what I think is the most
- 0:29recognizable country in all of Europe,
- 0:30and that is Malta. This small
- 0:32Mediterranean island. Here we are in
- 0:34Malta. The first good clue for Malta is
- 0:36that it's lefthand drive. You're not
- 0:37going to see it too often. You can see
- 0:39on this road right here where the cars
- 0:40are on the left and they're facing us
- 0:42here on the right, which means it is
- 0:44left-hand drive. For those who don't
- 0:45know, there only three countries in
- 0:47Europe that drive on the left. We'll get
- 0:49into the other two in a little bit. We
- 0:50also have this sign right here, which is
- 0:52Tik T R I Q. I believe this means street
- 0:56or road in the Maltese language. So this
- 0:58is a very very good clue. You'll see
- 1:00this word a lot on many buildings which
- 1:02basically tells you what road you're on
- 1:04and that's unique to Malta. Not to
- 1:05mention the buildings themselves.
- 1:07Sandstone tan buildings. These are very
- 1:11very common in Malta. They are all over
- 1:12the place as you can see. So that was an
- 1:14urban round. If you get an urban round,
- 1:15you should have no problems in Malta.
- 1:17Even in rural rounds, I still think it's
- 1:19super easy. You have these low rock
- 1:20walls are the big clue. These low rock
- 1:23walls are iconic to Malta. You can see
- 1:26that they're literally all over the
- 1:27place. I think that when you're in
- 1:28Malta, you will see at least one of the
- 1:29tips I just shared with you. If you
- 1:31can't, I feel like it's rare. Uh that's
- 1:33why I think that Malta is a really,
- 1:35really easy country. These rock walls
- 1:37are found in a couple of other
- 1:38countries. I mean, you can find them in
- 1:40many countries, but not like this. The
- 1:43the extent to what these rock walls are
- 1:45in Malta is just way more than any other
- 1:48country. Now, this round right here may
- 1:50look a little bit difficult, especially
- 1:51if you are a beginner. It's kind of like
- 1:53a rural area. There are some cars here,
- 1:55but there's no buildings really in
- 1:56sight. You have to look way over there
- 1:57to see something over there. But we are
- 2:00driving on the left here. As I said,
- 2:01there are three other there are three
- 2:02countries in Europe that drive on the
- 2:03left. This one being the UK. And as you
- 2:06can see, we do have a back yellow
- 2:08license plate. White front, but we do
- 2:11have a back yellow license plate, which
- 2:13is unique to the UK. You might see that
- 2:15in a couple of other countries on like
- 2:17commercial vehicles, but every single
- 2:19vehicle should have this back yellow
- 2:21plate uh in the UK for the most part. If
- 2:24there are no other cars in the road,
- 2:25take a look at the middle of the road
- 2:27and you might see this little reflector
- 2:29here. It's known as like the cat's eye
- 2:30reflector. Uh this is something that is
- 2:33found in the UK very commonly. It's not
- 2:35really found too often in other
- 2:36countries. So, it can be a very good
- 2:39clue if you don't see any other cars.
- 2:40And I want to give you guys a second
- 2:42location here in the UK because I think
- 2:43there are two really good clues that I
- 2:45want you all to know. First of all, take
- 2:47a look at some of these wooden poles.
- 2:48Every once in a while, you might see
- 2:50this sign right here. It's very graphic.
- 2:52It's a lightning bolt striking a man.
- 2:55This is UK. Striking the man is UK.
- 2:59We'll get into why that's important in
- 3:01the next country. And also another thing
- 3:03that's important for the next country is
- 3:05take a look at this metal gate. The
- 3:07metal gate comes at a right angle at the
- 3:09corner, right? Metalgate comes at a at a
- 3:11right corner. This is also UK. So if it
- 3:13comes to a right angle and it's a it's a
- 3:16perfect right angle curve, it is UK. If
- 3:18you see the man on this sign, it is UK.
- 3:21And that is very important because the
- 3:22third and final country that drives on
- 3:23the left is Ireland. And you can get it
- 3:26very confused with England a lot of the
- 3:28time. So there are these are two very
- 3:30good clues to differentiate it. Here is
- 3:32the danger sign. There's no man getting
- 3:34zapped. We do have the the lightning
- 3:35bolt. It is yellow. It says danger,
- 3:38right? So, it is very similar, but
- 3:40there's no man on it. And here we are
- 3:42also in Ireland. And as you can see, the
- 3:44gate has rounded corners. Okay? It's not
- 3:46a right angle in Ireland. Now, keep in
- 3:48mind, Northern Ireland, which is a part
- 3:50of the UK, also uses this, but the Irish
- 3:53island itself, uh, typically has these
- 3:56rounded gates. Exceptions do occur with
- 3:58this. It's not 100%, but it could be a
- 4:00good clue if you're really stuck. The
- 4:02rounded corner, very common in Ireland.
- 4:04And here is an extremely Irish example
- 4:07of a round. First of all, we're driving
- 4:08left. We have these yellow dashed outer
- 4:10lines, which are very, very common in
- 4:13Ireland. The signs are almost always
- 4:14going to be bilingual, meaning there's
- 4:16going to be English and also the Irish
- 4:18language on there. That's a super good
- 4:20sign that you are in Ireland. You might
- 4:22see similar signs that are bilingual in
- 4:23like Wales and Scotland, but um I
- 4:27Ireland has it almost all the time. Now,
- 4:28I'm going to talk about some ballards in
- 4:30this video. Ballards are the greatest
- 4:32clue and tip for Europe. So, if you
- 4:34really want to learn about your ballads,
- 4:36we already have another video on this
- 4:38channel about every single ballad in the
- 4:39world, including every single one in
- 4:41Europe. So, go check out that video. I'm
- 4:43going to reference a few of them in this
- 4:44one, but not everyone. This one is the
- 4:47Irish bottler. There are a few
- 4:48variations, but they're almost always
- 4:50green, which makes sense because Ireland
- 4:52is an extremely green country. It's it's
- 4:54just a lot of rolling hills, a lot of
- 4:56greenery, a lot of shrubbery hedgery, a
- 4:59lot of I guess. I don't know what I'm
- 5:00saying anymore, but Ireland is green.
- 5:02And we do drive on the left, but there
- 5:04is no yellow back on the license plate.
- 5:07It is white, which is a really good clue
- 5:09to tell the difference between the UK
- 5:10and Ireland. Just take a look at the
- 5:12back of the car. Is it yellow? No, it
- 5:14must be Ireland. All right, here we are
- 5:15in Iceland. I think this is probably the
- 5:17second most recognizable country behind
- 5:19Malta. It is on the opposite end. It's
- 5:20also an island. Uh, but here we are. It
- 5:23drives on the right. And we do have two,
- 5:25well, at least one very unique thing in
- 5:27this panorama, and that is this
- 5:29pedestrian sign, which has this yellow
- 5:32triangle, which is unique. You don't see
- 5:33this yellow triangle in any other
- 5:34country in Europe, which is very, very
- 5:37nice. Also, you will almost never see
- 5:39yellow lines in Iceland. I don't know if
- 5:41you ever will at all. That's super nice.
- 5:42If you see yellow road lines, probably
- 5:44not in Iceland. Here you have more of a
- 5:47rural location. And the nice thing about
- 5:48Iceland is that even the rural locations
- 5:50usually are fairly easy. We have ballet,
- 5:53which as you guys know, the yellow
- 5:54Icelandic ballet, one of the best
- 5:56ballets in the game to learn. They're
- 5:57all over the place. And the signs are
- 5:59actually fairly unique. You see these
- 6:01signs a lot at intersections, and they
- 6:03basically tell you what roads you're on
- 6:05and how many kilometers you're away from
- 6:06a place, which means it is very easy to
- 6:095k a location in Iceland because of
- 6:11these signs. They're they're very nice
- 6:12and they're all over the place. They are
- 6:15almost always this yellow with the arrow
- 6:17as well, kind of matching the ballards.
- 6:19So, uh yeah, there you guys go. That is
- 6:22Iceland. Here we have our next location.
- 6:24Now, this one seems to be a little bit
- 6:26more difficult perhaps. We are kind of
- 6:27in a rural area. We do have one house.
- 6:29This house has orange tiled roofs which
- 6:32is common a lot of times in the
- 6:33Mediterranean area in the Balkan area of
- 6:36Europe. It's also really common in
- 6:38Portugal. And you will see a lot of the
- 6:40times the house color itself will be
- 6:42white or this or a cream color. This
- 6:44one's more of a cream. You will see a
- 6:46lot more brighter whites as well. I'm
- 6:48not sure if that one's way over there
- 6:49potentially. Uh, but the big thing here
- 6:51is this pole. This is a Portuguese pole
- 6:55here. And as you can see, it has ladder
- 6:56steps in it, right? And these ladder
- 6:58steps are kind of far away. There's only
- 7:00four. It looks like there's only four.
- 7:01You might see a lot of these um ladders
- 7:04ladder poles in Brazil. They look very
- 7:06similar. Um, and there are other similar
- 7:08looking ones in France and Spain, but
- 7:11there's usually a lot more steps. Okay?
- 7:13There's usually a lot more steps. So,
- 7:14this one is bigger steps. Portugal. We
- 7:18also have eucalyptus tree here. may be
- 7:19wondering, "What is this? Australia?"
- 7:21No, it actually is Portugal. Uh
- 7:22eucalyptus trees are very common in
- 7:24Portugal and sometimes in northern
- 7:26Spain, like like right above uh
- 7:28Portugal. Really isn't found anywhere
- 7:30else in Europe. So, that's a really good
- 7:33clue for Portugal. All right, next
- 7:34location here. We do have kind of a
- 7:36difficult round, a real area here, but
- 7:37we do have a couple of infrastructure
- 7:38signs that are going to help us out
- 7:40here. This is the one that's really
- 7:42going to give away our next country, and
- 7:44that is Spain. This is the no hunting
- 7:45sign of Spain. one of the best clues in
- 7:48all of the game to be honest with you.
- 7:51If you see this, it's a pretty good sign
- 7:52you are in Spain. We also have these
- 7:54black and white chevrons. Spain can use
- 7:56a couple of different chevrons. They do
- 7:58use this one and this one can also be
- 8:00found in Italy, Greece, and Albania, but
- 8:02when it comes to Western Europe, this is
- 8:05the only country. Here we have our next
- 8:06location. We have these snow poles on
- 8:08the side of the road here. And they
- 8:09could be a whole bunch of different
- 8:10colors. This is like a typical one. And
- 8:12this these are found in Andor. You see,
- 8:14there's a different color one right
- 8:15there. And Pandora for some reason uses
- 8:18these tall snow poles all over the
- 8:20place. Also, Andor is a very vibey type
- 8:23of country because the entire country
- 8:26kind of looks the same. So, once once
- 8:28you play once you have a couple rounds
- 8:29there, you'll kind of just vibe it. It's
- 8:31it's uh it was taken in the fall or the
- 8:33autumn. So, you'll see some of these
- 8:35colors. Um you'll see kind of like
- 8:37orange colored trees and sometimes
- 8:39there's a lot of valleys, a lot of
- 8:40mountainous valleys. You also see this
- 8:42type of stone. Now, a lot of the
- 8:43buildings are actually made out of a
- 8:45similar material like this, but you also
- 8:46see it in the side of roads. It's like
- 8:47cobblestone stuff. Sometimes there's big
- 8:49chunks of rock. Uh, it's very, very
- 8:52Andor. You can see this in like
- 8:53neighboring areas of Spain and France,
- 8:55but you know, typically if you have all
- 8:57of these clues together, you're going
- 8:58and Pandora every time. So, now we're in
- 9:00France. And as I said earlier in
- 9:02Portugal, this one has a lot more steps.
- 9:04And you can find this pole specifically
- 9:07in both France and Spain. It is very
- 9:09very common to see in France, especially
- 9:11this pole top which looks like um one of
- 9:14those like lap pull down bars at the gym
- 9:15that you know you pull down on it and it
- 9:17kind of uh it kind of looks like that.
- 9:19Someone said that a long time ago and it
- 9:21stuck with me. That's a French pole top,
- 9:23but it's called that, but it's also
- 9:25found in Spain for some reason. But
- 9:26that's a very good clue that we are in
- 9:27Spain here. You can also kind of see a
- 9:29French power in the distance. But um
- 9:31another good thing about France is that
- 9:32they have these outer dashed road lines
- 9:34which are a little bit thicker and a
- 9:36little bit longer, okay, than others
- 9:38that we'll talk about in this video. Um
- 9:40so there are other countries that use
- 9:42these dashed road lines, um including
- 9:44Spain, but Spain really does not. It
- 9:46it's it's a lot rarer in Spain to see
- 9:48this. You can see it, but it's much more
- 9:50common in France, which would lead me to
- 9:52guess France in this particular round.
- 9:54Now, this is a very very French round.
- 9:55We do see the French Ballard up in close
- 9:58looking beautiful. We see the outer road
- 10:00lines. We see the pole top from a
- 10:02distance. And we do see this this pole
- 10:04right here does not have the pole top,
- 10:06right? So, not every pole is going to
- 10:07have that pole top, but the pole itself
- 10:09a lot of times will still be there. Um,
- 10:12this pole over here has a blue sticker.
- 10:15That sticker is unique to France. If you
- 10:18see that, you should be in France.
- 10:20Extremely good clue, actually. And a lot
- 10:22of road signs in France, of course, will
- 10:24have French on it. But if you ignore
- 10:26that, you will see this yellow emblem on
- 10:28top that says D something. The D- roads
- 10:30in France are a very good clue that you
- 10:32are in that country. They're very hard
- 10:34to find on a map. But uh they are a good
- 10:37clue for the country itself. All right,
- 10:39next location here. We're looking at a
- 10:41Belgium round. And why is that? Well, as
- 10:44you can see, we have a lot of brick
- 10:47buildings. This particular location has
- 10:49a couple of other buildings as well, but
- 10:51you do see a lot of brick. And brick is
- 10:53by far the most common uh building
- 10:55material used in Belgium. And the other
- 10:58thing that you got to look out for is
- 10:59the license plates in Belgium, which of
- 11:01course have the blue strip that most
- 11:02European countries have. I I did not
- 11:04mention that yet, but most European
- 11:05countries do have this blue strip on the
- 11:06left. And the the rest of the license
- 11:09plate does have a little bit of a
- 11:10pinkish tint to it. A little bit of a
- 11:12reddish pinkish tint. Uh you will see
- 11:14that these ones don't look like they do.
- 11:16Maybe they're maybe they're traveling
- 11:17carves, but you know, that one does
- 11:20right there. So, if I see brick
- 11:21buildings and this reddish tint license
- 11:23plate, I'm immediately clicking Belgium.
- 11:24That's really all I need to know. We
- 11:26also have these dashed outer lines for
- 11:28the bike lane here, which is a very
- 11:30Belgium thing to do as well. So, with
- 11:33all that considering, I would go
- 11:35Belgium. Now, here we are in neighboring
- 11:36Netherlands, which this is a very cool
- 11:38looking location, by the way. But
- 11:40anyways, we have a car here that has
- 11:41yellow in the front. Yes, that is
- 11:43correct. The Netherlands is one of two
- 11:45countries in Europe to have yellow
- 11:46license plates on both the back and the
- 11:49front. So don't confuse it with the UK.
- 11:51The UK, remember, has white on front.
- 11:54Uh, but the Netherlands does have yellow
- 11:55in the front and the back as well. So
- 11:58that's a very good clue for Netherlands.
- 12:00Also, it's extremely flat. I don't think
- 12:02there's a single hill in the
- 12:05Netherlands. We do have bike lanes here.
- 12:06Bike lanes a lot of times are red, but
- 12:08that's not not the case everywhere. Um,
- 12:10as you can see, this guy's on his bike.
- 12:11Bikes are huge in the Netherlands. There
- 12:14are so many bikes. Um, almost every
- 12:16single road has bike lanes as well as
- 12:18canals. so much water in the Netherlands
- 12:21as well. It's a very good clue. We do
- 12:23have these dash outer lines. These are a
- 12:25lot skinnier than the France ones and a
- 12:27lot smaller. So, um yeah, there are
- 12:30similar looking countries that have
- 12:32these ones. These ones are are very
- 12:33close together, too. There's not much
- 12:35space in between them. Uh some other
- 12:36countries have a bit more space in
- 12:38between them and we'll get into that uh
- 12:40once we get there. But Netherlands is a
- 12:42pretty easy country to guess with all
- 12:44these things combined. Luxembourg is a
- 12:46small country, not going to show up too
- 12:47often, but when it does, you should be
- 12:49able to get it. It has yellow license
- 12:51plates on both the back and the front.
- 12:53It is the one of the other countries
- 12:54besides Netherlands to have both of
- 12:57those. So, it's one of those two
- 12:58countries. But the difference between
- 12:59those two countries, Luxembourg has
- 13:01hills. Luxembourg has some big hills
- 13:03actually. Um, and so if you do see an
- 13:06incline like we are going up a hill
- 13:08right now, you wouldn't really see this
- 13:10in the Netherlands. I I don't think
- 13:11you'll you would see this in the
- 13:13Netherlands. So, that's a very good
- 13:14clue. But also the bowards are much
- 13:16different and they have this sort of
- 13:17rounded edges to a lot of their signs
- 13:19that you really only see in Denmark. So
- 13:21we'll get to that once we get into
- 13:23Denmark. But yeah, these type of rounded
- 13:25corners here on their signs are very
- 13:26good. They have these a lot on like
- 13:28street signs that are a little bit lower
- 13:29to the ground. Uh like this right here,
- 13:31as you can see, a little bit rounded and
- 13:32has like this this border on it that is
- 13:34actually quite unique to Luxembourg.
- 13:36Here we are in Germany. Germany is a
- 13:38great country. It has the same ballard
- 13:40as Luxembourg. I don't I don't see a
- 13:41ballard in this location. Uh there is a
- 13:44slight difference, but it's pretty much
- 13:46the same. The reason why I would go
- 13:47Germany here is going to be right here
- 13:49on this pole. You see this white sticker
- 13:50right here, just like the blue sticker
- 13:52in France. If you see a white sticker,
- 13:54it's a great clue for Germany. Also,
- 13:56Germany loves to use these bike
- 13:58directions. Uh for some reason, you'll
- 14:00see this little bike emblem. It'll point
- 14:01to you how many kilometers it is away.
- 14:04Uh I think that's really cool. And um
- 14:06you don't see that too often in other
- 14:07countries. Germany has it all over the
- 14:09place. So, for those reasons, I'd go
- 14:11Germany here. Switzerland is a pretty
- 14:13easy country to guess as well because
- 14:14it's one of only two countries in Europe
- 14:16to use low cam. And what low cam
- 14:19basically means is that we're lower to
- 14:20the ground on the Google car. You can
- 14:22tell it's low cam because the blur the
- 14:25blur extends farther out on the low cam
- 14:28than it normally would. Sometimes,
- 14:30especially in Gen 4 like we are right
- 14:32now, it's kind of difficult to see. But
- 14:34once you play a little bit, you'll start
- 14:35to realize, hey, I'm a little bit lower
- 14:36to the ground here. Am I in Switzerland
- 14:38low cam? And you are. Now, the other
- 14:40country is Likenstein. And there is a
- 14:42difference between the two countries.
- 14:43They they are very similar. Though I
- 14:45will say it is sometimes hard to
- 14:47distinguish the two. But take a look at
- 14:48the license plates. You'll notice that
- 14:50they are all white. Switzerland does not
- 14:52have the blue strip like most European
- 14:54countries do. Keep that in mind that you
- 14:56will see only white license plates in
- 14:58Switzerland unless it's somebody driving
- 15:00through from another country, which does
- 15:02happen with license plates, guys.
- 15:03Remember that. And here we are in
- 15:04Lithenstein. And yeah, you see do see
- 15:06the low cam here as well. It looks very
- 15:08similar. We have the big mountains. We
- 15:10have the buildings that look similar
- 15:12architecture, but look at the license
- 15:13plate. It's black. Okay, so in
- 15:15Likenstein, you typically will have
- 15:17black license plates. There are, I
- 15:19think, a lot of travelers going through
- 15:20Likensstein, though, and a lot of uh
- 15:22tourists and stuff. So, take it with a
- 15:24grain of salt. You might see other
- 15:25vehicles in Likenstein, but typically
- 15:27you will see this black on the license
- 15:29play. That's that's a really good
- 15:30example right there. Now, what you might
- 15:31confuse low cam with is small cam, which
- 15:35looks very similar, unfortunately, to
- 15:37low cam. Here we are in Italy. This is
- 15:39not low cam. This is actually small cam.
- 15:42Very very uh not beginner friendly. I'm
- 15:45I'm sorry to say, but the shape is more
- 15:47rounded. Okay, the shape is more
- 15:49rounded. Um whereas the low cam blur is
- 15:52just like a bigger version of the normal
- 15:54blur. It is difficult to figure out, but
- 15:56here we are in Italy and Italy is a
- 15:59somewhat easy country to get. We have
- 16:01the of course right here the double blue
- 16:03and it's shorter and that's what happens
- 16:05in Italy. The front of the license plate
- 16:07has blue on both sides and white in the
- 16:10middle. And it's shorter than the back
- 16:12of the license plate. If I travel, if I
- 16:14travel over here and look at the back,
- 16:16the back is is normal length. Still
- 16:18double blue, but it's normal length for
- 16:20the European license plates. Italy will
- 16:23almost always have solid white lines as
- 16:25well. You typically won't see too many
- 16:27dashes in Italy, which is good. Even
- 16:29over here on the what I think is like a
- 16:30bike lane or something has solid white
- 16:33lines. Um, a lot of times you won't have
- 16:35this middle line either. So you'll just
- 16:37see the two white lines on the outside.
- 16:39That's a very good clue you are in
- 16:40Italy. This time we do have that white
- 16:42middle line. But yeah, this is a very
- 16:43Italian round right here. San Marino.
- 16:45Now San Marino has a lot of the same
- 16:47clues as Italy. It's located within
- 16:49Italy. So it kind of makes sense. It's
- 16:51sometimes can be difficult to figure out
- 16:53if you are in Italy or San Marino. This
- 16:55is a very good clue right here though.
- 16:56This gigantic blue crosswalk which you
- 16:59will see in San Marino and you don't see
- 17:01anywhere else. Uh they are all over the
- 17:04main roads and even some side roads
- 17:06actually. There's one uh over here as
- 17:08well. Sometimes they have really big
- 17:10things that go like over the road that's
- 17:12not in this particular panorama. Um but
- 17:16yeah, a lot of Italian stuff can be
- 17:18happening here. There's an Italian plate
- 17:20right there. So you you will see a lot
- 17:22of Italian clues in San Marino as well.
- 17:24Here's something else. There is this
- 17:26gigantic mountain here with these towers
- 17:29on top. This is something that you
- 17:31should look out for. This is a very big
- 17:33touristy thing in San Marino and uh I
- 17:36think it's quite famous actually. So if
- 17:38you you you can usually see that from
- 17:40almost everywhere in San Marino. So
- 17:42that's a very good clue that you are
- 17:43there. If you don't see that, you may
- 17:45not be in San Marino or you're just
- 17:47being blocked by a building or
- 17:48something, you know, but that's San
- 17:50Marino. Kind of a tough country to get.
- 17:51All right, here we have our next round.
- 17:53It is a urban round and we have some
- 17:55German language here. So is this Germany
- 17:58or could this be Austria? Well, we
- 18:00already talked about Germany in this
- 18:01video, so it's probably Austria, right?
- 18:02Let's let's see why. First of all, this
- 18:05sign right here, Einbomb. This is one of
- 18:07the greatest signs for Austria. This is
- 18:08not found at all in Germany, and it's
- 18:11very, very common in Austrian cities.
- 18:13So, Einbomb here with this white arrow
- 18:16with a blue background. Very, very
- 18:18common in Austria. We also have this
- 18:21sign over here, Anfang. Anfang. I'm
- 18:24sorry. I'm sorry to all my Austrians.
- 18:26I'm sorry. Not sure how to say it.
- 18:28Anyways, it's it's a very good clue you
- 18:29are in Austria. So, if you see those two
- 18:32signs in any urban area, you should be
- 18:33in Austria. Checka and Slovakia might be
- 18:36two of the most difficult countries in
- 18:38all of Europe. Let's see if we can break
- 18:40it down a little bit. This is Czecha.
- 18:43And how do I know that? Well, we have
- 18:44generation 2 coverage. Generation 2 is
- 18:47this big circular blur that looks a
- 18:50little bit outdated. Okay, it looks a
- 18:52little bit outdated. Um, typically if
- 18:54you look up, you will also see a halo
- 18:56effect. Okay, you can kind of see the
- 18:58the circle. You might can't see it too
- 18:59well in this particular panorama, but
- 19:01you can kind of see there's there's an
- 19:02edge like right here of the circle,
- 19:04right? So, you're going to see it below
- 19:06you and above you. That's generation 2.
- 19:08That's not found in Slovakia. That's
- 19:10only found in Czecha. So, if you're
- 19:12between the two, you run into some Gen
- 19:142, it's definitely going to be Czecha.
- 19:16Also, here on this building, we have a
- 19:20road sign. This is red. Has a red
- 19:23background. That is very good clue for
- 19:24Czecha. Typically in Slovakia you will
- 19:26not see that. Um and you'll see a
- 19:28different type of sign in Slovakia that
- 19:30we will get into right now. And here is
- 19:32that street sign. We are in Slovakia
- 19:33now. And there is a red border with a
- 19:36white background. Typically the the text
- 19:38is actually also blue which is kind of
- 19:40cool as well. So that's the difference
- 19:42between Czecha and Slovakia. Those can
- 19:44also be in in the form of a house number
- 19:47um or a road name on the buildings. Also
- 19:50I turn around here and I see a SK
- 19:53domain. It's always worth learning your
- 19:54domains, guys, because a lot of times
- 19:56you will see stuff like this. SK means
- 19:58Slovakia. That's a pretty good clue you
- 20:00are in that country. So, definitely
- 20:02learn your domains. That's something
- 20:03that you should always learn. So, this
- 20:04right here is a very, very Polish round,
- 20:07which is interesting. There are so many
- 20:08clues here to give Poland. Poland's
- 20:09typically actually an easier country to
- 20:11guess uh in the game. First of all, we
- 20:13have these double white road lines,
- 20:14which are really only primarily found in
- 20:16three countries: Poland, Denmark, and
- 20:19Greece. Okay, they are found in other
- 20:21countries around the world, but in
- 20:22Europe, it's just those three. And
- 20:25Greece looks a lot different than
- 20:26Poland. So, you know, typically if you
- 20:28see double whites like this with this
- 20:30type of landscape, more northern, it's
- 20:32probably going to be Poland, maybe
- 20:34Denmark. But here we have the Polish
- 20:35Ballard. Polish Ballard, again, one of
- 20:37the most iconic ballards. There's a
- 20:38whole bunch of them here for some
- 20:39reason. Very, very good clue. Here we
- 20:41have a Polish pole. Polish poles are an
- 20:44excellent clue. Typically, they're in
- 20:46like an A-frame, right? They're in like
- 20:48an A-frame. They might just be
- 20:49standalone as well. They might be Is
- 20:51there stand? Yeah, there's standalone
- 20:52one right here. Uh they have holes in
- 20:54it. You can see that there are some
- 20:55holes in it, but it's skinny. You'll see
- 20:57that there are some other countries like
- 20:59Hungary and Romania that also have holy
- 21:01poles, but they're fatter. Okay, the
- 21:03holes are a lot bigger. And we'll we'll
- 21:05I'll show you that once once we get to
- 21:06it, but the Polish pole is a very very
- 21:09good clue. No other country has it like
- 21:11this where it's super skinny. So, great
- 21:13clue. If we turn around here, we'll
- 21:15notice there's a sign by Cena. Uh this
- 21:18is a small town and uh Poland loves to
- 21:21use these town markers at the end and at
- 21:24the start of every single town. Uh if we
- 21:27go to the other side, it will be a red
- 21:29cross through it, meaning that we are
- 21:31exiting that town. So very very good
- 21:34clue there. And now we are in Hungary
- 21:36here. Now Hungary can be difficult at
- 21:38times, I will admit. But here we do have
- 21:40a really good clue and that's this right
- 21:42here. We see this green kilometer
- 21:44marker. Hungary loves using this. It is
- 21:47green with this white border around it
- 21:49in this rectangle formation. Pretty
- 21:51short to the ground, pretty low to the
- 21:53ground. And uh these are all over
- 21:55Hungary. Other countries have stuff like
- 21:57this, but it's not in the same format.
- 21:59So just, you know, keep in mind it has
- 22:01to be green with this white border. Then
- 22:03it is Hungary. I'm also looking around
- 22:05to see other clues here, and I do see a
- 22:07Hungarian pole. Okay, so notice how it's
- 22:10a little bit wider. We're looking at it
- 22:11from a distance here, but it is wider
- 22:14than the Polish pole. and you won't
- 22:16usually see it in an A-frame like you a
- 22:18lot of times will in Poland as well. So
- 22:21that's the Hungarian pole. All right, we
- 22:23are now in Slovenia. Now Slovenia is a
- 22:25country that is known to be one of the
- 22:27most difficult ones as well because
- 22:28there are a lot of rural locations to
- 22:30the point where if people get like a
- 22:32random forest location in the game with
- 22:35no other clues, typically they're going
- 22:36to go with Slovenia. But here we do have
- 22:38a couple of good clues for us. First of
- 22:40all, we have this kilometer marker. Now
- 22:41this one obviously a lot different than
- 22:43the Hungary one. It's not green. We have
- 22:45this yellow rectangle in the corner
- 22:47which is a really good clue you are in
- 22:49Slovenia here that tells you what road
- 22:51you're on. So around the 103 and uh we
- 22:53do have a ballard as well. Same ballard
- 22:55as Austria. Also we're kind of in a
- 22:57forested mountain area which makes sense
- 23:00for a Slovenia. So if I see these these
- 23:02two things right here, I know for a fact
- 23:04that we are going to be in Slovenia.
- 23:05Here we are in Croatia. Very beautiful
- 23:07country and this could be a difficult
- 23:09country to guess at times. Here we have
- 23:11a couple of clues, but even here it's
- 23:13it's not entirely obvious probably for
- 23:16the beginner. We do have the Ballard.
- 23:17The Ballard is very very helpful. You
- 23:18can see this in uh usually Hungary as
- 23:21well, but there's no water like this in
- 23:23Hungary. I'll say that. Here we have the
- 23:24Btype guardrail, which is what Croatia
- 23:26commonly uses. I'll throw up a little
- 23:27graphic on screen right now to show you
- 23:29the difference between A and B. B is a
- 23:32little bit of a smaller hole in the
- 23:34middle. That's kind of just how I
- 23:36explain it. And it's like flatter. It's
- 23:37not like rounded. So Croatia is one of
- 23:39the few countries, not a lot of
- 23:41countries use the B type, but Croatia is
- 23:42one of them. Of course, you have a ton
- 23:44of of coastline in Croatia. It's very
- 23:46long. They blocked out all coastline
- 23:48from Bosnia. Not sure what that's all
- 23:50about, but um hey, they did it and we
- 23:52can use it to our advantage in the game.
- 23:54Type of architecture you can kind of see
- 23:55in the distance is similar to like what
- 23:58I was talking about with like Portugal
- 23:59almost. You know, it's like very
- 24:00Mediterranean, the orange tile roofs and
- 24:03stuff like that. You also will see a lot
- 24:04of exposed rock. Even in places that are
- 24:06not like particularly coastal, you will
- 24:07see a lot of exposed rock. This one has
- 24:09like a net over it which is kind of
- 24:10cool. So it doesn't like fall into the
- 24:12road and stuff. But yeah, as you can
- 24:13see, look all look exposed rock. A lot
- 24:14of the mountains are very rocky, which
- 24:17is I guess is how most of the Balkans
- 24:19are. So a lot of countries in the Balkan
- 24:20area have this type of uh rock formation
- 24:22in it and is where it is, but Croatia
- 24:25famous for it. Bosnia currently not in a
- 24:27game when I'm making this video. It's
- 24:29probably going to be released any week
- 24:31now. I'm hoping it gets released. This
- 24:33is unofficial coverage. We're
- 24:34technically in Bosnia here, but um I
- 24:36don't have any tips for you guys yet
- 24:38because I don't know. I don't really
- 24:40know what Bosnia looks like at this
- 24:42time. Once it comes out, I'll be
- 24:44releasing a full video on it. Trust me.
- 24:45Here we have our next panorama. And this
- 24:47is a country that can be difficult as
- 24:49well, unless you know a couple of
- 24:50things. I'm about to sh I'm about to
- 24:52share a couple things. So, you guys
- 24:53should have a good time. First of all,
- 24:55this is Serbia. How do we know it's
- 24:57Serbia? Well, I'm looking around and I I
- 25:00see no antenna on the car. And this is
- 25:02primarily found in two countries. Rarely
- 25:04it can happen in other countries, but
- 25:06usually it only happens in Serbia and
- 25:08North Macedonia. Okay, so it for the
- 25:10purposes of a beginner's guide, I will
- 25:13say that it's primarily Serbia and North
- 25:15Macedonia that don't have an antenna.
- 25:17You will usually see an antenna in most
- 25:19other countries. And this is generation
- 25:213. So, as of right now, both countries
- 25:23only have generation 3, meaning it's a
- 25:25little bit outdated. and you will be
- 25:27able to see like the wheel well uh blur
- 25:30over here like the the mirror and stuff.
- 25:32So that's what's happening in Serbia and
- 25:35North Macedonia. How do we tell the
- 25:36difference between the two? Okay, look
- 25:39at the cars. These cars have blue strip
- 25:44on them, right? That is Serbia. North
- 25:46Macedonia does not have a blue strip on
- 25:49their license plates. So if you look at
- 25:51all these cars here, except for this one
- 25:53doesn't even have a license plate for
- 25:54some reason. They all have a blue strip.
- 25:56I'm going Serbia here. I'm also looking
- 25:58at this sign. This is the Serbian
- 26:01language. The Serbian language has a mix
- 26:03of like cerillic and Latin letters in
- 26:04it, which makes it kind of unique. So
- 26:07that you you will see that language of
- 26:09course in Serbia. And because we are
- 26:11deep into the mountains here, I would
- 26:13primarily guess in the south of Serbia.
- 26:16My first region guessing tip for you all
- 26:18today. Serbia is very very flat in the
- 26:20north, more mountainous in the south.
- 26:22So, if you're looking for uh if you have
- 26:24a mountainous Serbian round, I would
- 26:25click more south. Same thing as Bosnia
- 26:27with Kosovo. It's going to be coming to
- 26:29the game anytime now. No idea when it's
- 26:31going to be released. This is unofficial
- 26:32coverage, so I don't know anything about
- 26:34Kosovo right now, so I have no tips for
- 26:36you, but when it releases, I will. So,
- 26:39stay tuned. All right, next location
- 26:40here, and we have North Macedonia. As
- 26:43you can see, you turn around, no antenna
- 26:45once again here in NMK. architecture is
- 26:49very similar to Serbia, which can mess
- 26:50people up a lot. Take a look at the
- 26:52license plate. No blue strip, right? It
- 26:54might even be a little bit of a pinkish
- 26:55reddish tint sometimes. Um that that
- 26:57does happen in North Macedonia. Not
- 26:59every time, but it happens. Um but yeah,
- 27:00no blue strip is is key for that. Um we
- 27:03do have NMK Ballards as well, which is
- 27:06good. Um actually have both variations.
- 27:09We have there's two common Ballards. We
- 27:11have them both in this round, which is
- 27:13very good. Red and white curbs kind of
- 27:16common in North Macedonia as well. I I
- 27:19wouldn't say it's a very strong pit tip,
- 27:22but it does happen. North Macedonia has
- 27:23very limited coverage and a lot of it is
- 27:25on a highways. So, you will see like a
- 27:27divided highway in North Macedonia. You
- 27:29will see just regular highways that are
- 27:31not divided. Uh but a lot of the
- 27:33coverage is just highways and in in a
- 27:36city. So, if you're not in a city and
- 27:38you're not on a big highway, you might
- 27:40not be in North Macedonia is kind of how
- 27:42it is. Uh that's just because the
- 27:44coverage is just so limited. I also spy
- 27:46a mosque over here which is a lot more
- 27:48common in North Macedonia than Serbia.
- 27:51Serbia is a predominantly Christian
- 27:53country whereas North Macedonia has a
- 27:55much larger Muslim population. So Mas
- 27:57are much more common in North Macedonia
- 27:59if that's a key to help differentiate
- 28:02the two countries. And here we have our
- 28:03next country. And whoa whoa. What is
- 28:05that? We have something in the sky. That
- 28:07is called a rift. I'm not sure where
- 28:09that came from. It may have came from
- 28:11Fortnite. You guys know the wrist in the
- 28:12sky in Fortnite, right there. So, it
- 28:15kind of looks similar. This is just a
- 28:16camera glitch, okay? There's not like an
- 28:17actual rift in the sky. That's found in
- 28:19two countries in Europe. It's found in a
- 28:21couple of other countries around the
- 28:22world, but in Europe, it's either
- 28:25Montenegro or Albania. Okay. And there
- 28:28are some differences between the two
- 28:29countries. Uh this this time we are in
- 28:32Montenegro for a few reasons. One,
- 28:34Montenegro for some reason loves rusty
- 28:36guard rails. Okay? I don't know if it's
- 28:38really that good of a a meta, but there
- 28:41are quite a few rusty guardrails in
- 28:43Montenegro. Obviously, there are some
- 28:44non- rusted ones, too. All right, look
- 28:45at this. There's there's both in this
- 28:47round. Um, but yeah, this one's even
- 28:49like yellow as well, which is also
- 28:51Montenegron. You may not see that as
- 28:53much in Albania. Okay, but the real
- 28:56difference is the license plates. Once
- 28:58again, we're looking at the license
- 29:00plates here for Montenegro and Albania
- 29:02because, let's face it, those are the
- 29:03two countries you're going to be mixing
- 29:05up when you see one of these. both have
- 29:07pretty mountainous valley type of
- 29:09locations here. I would say Montenegro
- 29:11maybe a little bit more mountainous. Uh
- 29:12but they both look very very similar.
- 29:14But Montenegro you might see white
- 29:15license plates or maybe blue just on the
- 29:17left. Okay, Albania doesn't usually have
- 29:20either of those types. And let's head
- 29:22over there right now. All right, here we
- 29:23are in Albania. Look up. There is the
- 29:24rift. It is there. So, as I said, it is
- 29:26in both countries. And we have both
- 29:28types of license plates in this
- 29:30panorama. First of all, we have the red
- 29:32one. So, this car has red on the left.
- 29:34This is the only European country to
- 29:36have red on the left and that is
- 29:38Albania. Um there is one other country
- 29:40that I can think of um and that is
- 29:42Kyrgyzstan that also has red on the
- 29:43left. So don't get those two confused
- 29:46because they are very far away. Uh
- 29:47Kyrgyzstan is in Asia of course. So uh
- 29:50yeah, keep that in mind. Albania also
- 29:53might have this license plate here as
- 29:55you can see double blue. Okay, on both
- 29:57sides, very similar to the back of the
- 29:59Italian license plate, but the front of
- 30:02the license plate is not short. Okay, so
- 30:04remember the Italian license plate is
- 30:06shorter. Albanian one is the same size
- 30:08on the front and the back. Okay, and
- 30:10there might be a little bit of blue
- 30:11there. I think there is. You just can't
- 30:12see it. So, there you go. That should
- 30:14help you out in in Albania and
- 30:15Montenegro. Tough round here, guys. I
- 30:17will admit, tough round. We do see a
- 30:19car. There's blue on the left. Doesn't
- 30:21really help us out too much cuz I said
- 30:23most European countries have that. Um,
- 30:25we're not in Albania. Not in Albania.
- 30:27But take a look at the ground. Double
- 30:30white road lines. As I said earlier,
- 30:32it's either Denmark, Poland, or Greece.
- 30:34And guys, Poland does not have these
- 30:36type of mountains. I don't think Denmark
- 30:38has a mountain. So, this must be Greece,
- 30:40right? This must be Greece. Especially
- 30:42because the mountains are so dry and
- 30:44they seem more Mediterranean climate,
- 30:46right? There are mountains in the south
- 30:48of Poland that are a bit more green, a
- 30:50bit more lush than this. Um, you know,
- 30:53Greek Greek mountains are typically a
- 30:54bit more rocky. Okay, a bit more rocky.
- 30:56But another thing that we see here in
- 30:58the distance, got to zoom in a little
- 31:00bit. We see some wooden poles. And
- 31:02Greece is known for having a lot of
- 31:04wooden poles more than other countries.
- 31:06You might see a concrete one or a steel
- 31:08one or a metal one, whatever. Uh, every
- 31:11once in a while, but wooden poles are
- 31:13are much more common in Greece. So, if I
- 31:15see double white and it wouldn't pull,
- 31:18I'm most almost always going Greece
- 31:20every single time. And this is an
- 31:22extremely Turkish round. Let me explain.
- 31:25First of all, let's face this way. We
- 31:28have a van here that does have some
- 31:30Turkish letters. Turkey has a language
- 31:33that is very recognizable. There are
- 31:35plenty of like this little accent below
- 31:37the S and the C. Super recognizable for
- 31:41Turkey. They also famously have mosques
- 31:44everywhere in Turkey. So that's a very
- 31:45good clue. Normally, unless you're in
- 31:47the middle of absolutely nowhere, you
- 31:49should be able to see a mosque. They
- 31:51also are very patriotic. If this flag
- 31:53wasn't here, this would still be an easy
- 31:55round with the flag. It's a no-brainer.
- 31:57Okay, the Turkish flag. Make sure you
- 31:59know your flags. Europeans are typically
- 32:00very patriotic. They love their
- 32:02countries typically. So, you will see a
- 32:05lot of flags. Turkey also loves divided
- 32:07highways. I'm not sure why, but here we
- 32:09have a divided highway. Okay, they're
- 32:11all over the country. Okay, they're all
- 32:12over our country. It is a great clue.
- 32:14Obviously, other countries have them,
- 32:15too. So, take a look at other clues.
- 32:17Over here, we do have the Turkish
- 32:19Ballard. Very iconic ballard right here.
- 32:22If you don't know it, you better learn
- 32:23it. Turkey uses this ballard all over
- 32:26the place, guys. Okay. Also, way over
- 32:28here, I see a little chevron. We have
- 32:30red sign with like this white arrow
- 32:32that's kind of cut off a little bit
- 32:33because it's so narrow. You will only
- 32:35see this in like South Africa, which is
- 32:37not in Europe. Okay, that's not in
- 32:39Europe. So, in Europe, that is unique to
- 32:41Turkey. The final thing I want to bring
- 32:43up is the Turkish pole, which is a very,
- 32:45very good pole. It's metal and it has
- 32:47like ladder holes in it as well, but
- 32:49it's usually rusty metal as well. So,
- 32:52that's a really good sign that you are
- 32:53there. Trying to see there's another one
- 32:56hiding behind the trees here. Usually,
- 32:58you'll be able to see them in more of
- 32:59its glory. Um, but this pole right here
- 33:02as well, this pole here, very iconic to
- 33:05Turkey. It's bigger. It's usually more
- 33:08steel instead of rusty. Maybe it's
- 33:10newer. I'm not too sure. But yeah, as
- 33:12you can see, there's another one over
- 33:13here that this these type of poles are
- 33:15just all over the place. So, Turkey
- 33:17makes it easy for us because they have
- 33:20so many clues that are specific to his
- 33:22country. All right, here we are in
- 33:23Cypress, which is a fairly new country
- 33:25to be added, and it's right now it's
- 33:27only in the British territory on Cypress
- 33:30Island. Uh there are more coverage.
- 33:32There is more coverage coming for the
- 33:33rest of the island, but right now, this
- 33:34is all I have to work with. Here's a
- 33:36better look at the small cam blur guys
- 33:38that we saw in Italy earlier. Here's a
- 33:40better look at it. As you can see, it is
- 33:41a little bit more circular and like the
- 33:44back is kind of weird. It's like I don't
- 33:46know, something protruding out. This is
- 33:48the small cam. This is a pretty common
- 33:50cam that's coming out now from Google
- 33:51Street View. Yeah, the coverage on
- 33:52Cypress is very very small right now.
- 33:54So, I can't really say too much about
- 33:55it. All of it is small cam and uh there
- 33:58is a portion that kind of looks like
- 33:59this. And here we have the other
- 34:01coverage near like the Kellia. It's like
- 34:03basically just a big highway
- 34:04interchange. There's like two areas of
- 34:06Cypress is very small. So, it's
- 34:08basically just this you're going to see.
- 34:10Um, makes makes it quite easy as of
- 34:12right now. Once the entire island gets
- 34:13coverage, might be a bit more difficult
- 34:15to differentiate between like some of
- 34:17the Greek islands or maybe maybe some
- 34:19parts of Turkey and stuff. So, um, we'll
- 34:21get into that, but yeah, they do have a
- 34:23lot of, um, triilingual signs perhaps.
- 34:25There's a lot of languages on here, so
- 34:27that can be a good good clue for
- 34:28Cypress. I'm not going to lie, guys,
- 34:29this next country is quite difficult. It
- 34:31stumps a lot of pro players even,
- 34:33especially if you're in some rural
- 34:34areas. But this is Bulgaria. And
- 34:37Bulgaria is a country that it it's it's
- 34:39just tough straight up. It's tough. Not
- 34:41sure what's happening with this license
- 34:42plate here. Just ignore that. This is
- 34:46the best clue right here. It's the town
- 34:48entry point, which is always going to be
- 34:50bilingual. U Bulgaria is really good for
- 34:52having bilingual signs. It's actually a
- 34:53really good clue for for Bulgaria. And
- 34:55the town entry signs are going to be
- 34:57white with like this little black
- 34:59border. And that's unique to Bulgaria.
- 35:01So it's different than the Polish one we
- 35:02saw earlier, right? Which was green.
- 35:04This one's going to be white. And if you
- 35:07take a look at the road here, notice
- 35:08there's not a single ballard, right? If
- 35:09you're on a road in Bulgaria that you
- 35:11would think should have ballards, like
- 35:13it's a main road heading into a city,
- 35:16you should see some ballards here,
- 35:17right? You might be Bulgaria because
- 35:19Bulgaria really doesn't use ballards.
- 35:21They just they have they use a couple,
- 35:23but it's it's rare. It's actually quite
- 35:25rare. So, with this sign here, I know
- 35:26I'm in Bulgaria, but just with the
- 35:28vibes. Obviously, it's also a
- 35:29mountainous country as well. So, uh,
- 35:31with no ballards and these mountains, I
- 35:33may go Bulgaria. Okay, guys. Here we are
- 35:35in Romania. And here we have a bunch of
- 35:37these poles. Remember how I said that
- 35:38they were thicker than Poland? Now, we
- 35:40have a really good look at it. The one
- 35:41in Hungary, we didn't really get a good
- 35:42look at it. You will see these poles in
- 35:44Hungary as well, which border each
- 35:46other. So, it kind of makes sense. But
- 35:48the Romanian ones and the Hungarian ones
- 35:50are much thicker than the Polish ones,
- 35:52which can help you differentiate it.
- 35:53Also, Romania loves to paint the bottom
- 35:55of these poles white sometimes. Hungary
- 35:58does not do this. Okay? So, if you see a
- 36:00white painted bottom, you know, you
- 36:02should be in Romania, not Hungary.
- 36:05Obviously, there are plenty of poles
- 36:06that are not painted white at the
- 36:07bottom. So, you got to be careful. I'm
- 36:09also looking at this sign right here,
- 36:11this yield sign. It looks kind of weird,
- 36:13doesn't it? Because the triangle in the
- 36:15middle, the white one, is very small.
- 36:18And uh that is unique to Romania.
- 36:19Actually, Romania has this really thick
- 36:21red outer line here. And the triangle in
- 36:24the middle is very small. We also have a
- 36:26white outline border here. If you see
- 36:29this sign, it is unique to Romania. So,
- 36:32this is a very Romanian location right
- 36:33here. I would 100% have good faith this
- 36:35that this is Romania. All right, our
- 36:37next location is going to be in Ukraine,
- 36:39which is a very big country, but
- 36:40unfortunately doesn't have that much
- 36:42coverage right now. It's usually just
- 36:44like main roads and stuff. And speaking
- 36:46of the roads, the roads are almost
- 36:47always in really bad quality. Ukraine is
- 36:50known to have some of the worst road
- 36:51quality in the entire continent. So, um
- 36:54that's a really good sign you are in
- 36:56Ukraine. We also have a little bit of
- 36:57car meta that I'm going to share with
- 36:58you. I try to stay away from car meta in
- 37:00this video because Europe is constantly
- 37:02changing. Car meta goes away. But
- 37:04because of the war over there, I don't
- 37:06think Google is going to be driving
- 37:07through Ukraine anytime soon. So, this
- 37:09car meta should stand this test of time,
- 37:12at least for the foreseeable future. We
- 37:14have a red car with usually a long
- 37:17antenna. This red car here is a very
- 37:20good sign you are in Ukraine. Almost the
- 37:22entire country was covered with this
- 37:24car. The only time you might see this
- 37:25car in some other country is rarely in
- 37:28Belgium. Rand for some random reason. Uh
- 37:31you might see this car in Belgium, but
- 37:33both countries look somewhat, you know,
- 37:35it it looked quite different. So, um
- 37:37I've made that mistake before myself. I
- 37:39saw this car and it went Ukraine
- 37:41immediately and it was Belgium and I got
- 37:43all mad. And it happens, guys. It
- 37:44happens to all of us. But this is a very
- 37:46good clue that you are uh in Ukraine.
- 37:49Now, here we have a Russian round. Now,
- 37:51Russia and Ukraine can be very, very
- 37:53similar. So, I kind of want to point out
- 37:54a few differences. The first one being
- 37:56the license plate. There were no cars in
- 37:58the previous location in Ukraine, but
- 37:59Russia has all white license plates,
- 38:01guys. You won't see any other colors.
- 38:02You won't see the blue strip. And in
- 38:04Ukraine, they actually have their flag
- 38:07on the license plate. So, you will see
- 38:09blue and yellow in Ukraine. You will
- 38:11never see that in Russia. Now, you might
- 38:13look behind you and you might think that
- 38:14this is a red car. It's not, guys, and
- 38:17be careful. This might bait some of you.
- 38:18Make sure if you think it's a red car.
- 38:21It's completely red, guys. This is just
- 38:22the brake light of the back of the car.
- 38:25And the rest of it is black. Okay? The
- 38:27rest of it's black. So, this is actually
- 38:28a black car um with a little bit of red,
- 38:30but it's not fully red, which means this
- 38:33is not going to be Ukraine. Of course,
- 38:35Russia speaks Russian. It might be good.
- 38:37Russian, um, Ukrainian, other civil
- 38:40languages. They all have their little
- 38:41differences, so it might might be worth
- 38:43learning those differences. Not going to
- 38:45get into them into this video, but it
- 38:46might be might be worth learning at some
- 38:48point. Finally, we do see these black
- 38:50and white curves. Russia loves using
- 38:52these black and white curves, and they
- 38:54actually paint black and white things
- 38:55onto a lot of things, not just their
- 38:57curbs. Okay, so this is a very good clue
- 38:59you are in Russia. You really won't see
- 39:00this anywhere in Europe. You might see
- 39:02this in like Indonesia and some other
- 39:05random places like Rwanda maybe, but you
- 39:07know when you're talk we're talking
- 39:08about Europe today. This is the Europe
- 39:09beginner's guide, right? Typically you
- 39:12only see this in Russia. So with all
- 39:13that being said, this is a pretty easy
- 39:16Russia for me. All right, guys. Here we
- 39:17have potentially the most difficult
- 39:19round of the day. Where am I supposed to
- 39:21even go here? Where do I go here? We
- 39:24have a random gravel road with some
- 39:27fields and you know that's all we really
- 39:29have. Maybe a pole or two. Where do we
- 39:31go here? All right, let's break it down,
- 39:32guys. Let's break it down. First of all,
- 39:33take a look at over here. It looks kind
- 39:35of normal. We look over here, we see
- 39:37this like green tint to it. Why? Why is
- 39:40that? That's actually common in in
- 39:41Estonia. There's like this this green
- 39:43tint. You can kind of see in the sky.
- 39:44Look how green it is over here. And look
- 39:46over here. It's like normal, right? So,
- 39:48you know, that is for some reason common
- 39:50in Estonia, not really seen anywhere
- 39:53else. And that only happens in
- 39:54generation 3 coverage. So, a little bit
- 39:56of an older coverage. Eventually, this
- 39:57metal would will go away, but it stands
- 40:00the test of time for at least right now.
- 40:02We also see these trident poles. Trident
- 40:04poles are the main pole used in Estonia,
- 40:06so that would make sense. Kind of see
- 40:08the top of it looks like a looks like a
- 40:09uh a trident there. You won't see that
- 40:12too much in other Baltic countries. Um
- 40:14they use their own poles. So, um that
- 40:17could be a good clue for Estonia, but
- 40:19you know, trident poles are used in a
- 40:20fair amount of countries around the
- 40:21world. So, don't use that only to make
- 40:24your guess. Of course, Estonia also has
- 40:26an abnormal amount of like gravel roads
- 40:28and typically you will see fields next
- 40:30to the roads and like forest in the
- 40:32background. That's very common in all
- 40:34the Baltic countries, but for some
- 40:35reason Estonia, I think it just has it
- 40:37the most. I don't know. Seems to be more
- 40:39of a vibe thing though, of course. But,
- 40:41um, you know, when if if you if you have
- 40:43nothing else to go off of, might be
- 40:44something there. And if you really have
- 40:46nothing else to go off of, I do see a
- 40:48white flower here. Actually, we do see a
- 40:51bunch of white flowers here. And this is
- 40:53the Estonian white flower. I'm not sure
- 40:54what it's actually called, okay? But for
- 40:56the sake of us Google Map players, it's
- 40:59called the Estonian White Flower. I
- 41:01don't think this is even a real meta,
- 41:03but if you really have nothing else to
- 41:04go off of and you see these white
- 41:06flowers on the side of the road, maybe
- 41:08it's Estonia, but it can really be found
- 41:10in that whole general region. Um, but
- 41:12again, it might be more common in
- 41:14Estonia. Here we have Lafia. And again,
- 41:16Lafia can look very similar to Estonia,
- 41:18but it does have a different pole. And
- 41:21this is actually a pretty unique pole.
- 41:24It is these alternating alternating like
- 41:26hooks on these poles. You see that guys?
- 41:28Alternating hooks. And this has become
- 41:30known as like the Lvian pole top. Okay.
- 41:32So, it's actually very kind of iconic to
- 41:34Lafia. It's found all over the place
- 41:37guys. Can't really see it there, but
- 41:39here it even is on like an A-frame pole.
- 41:41Okay. That can be found in some other
- 41:43countries, particularly like Croatia or
- 41:46Bulgaria, but to lesser extent. In
- 41:48Latafia, it's very, very common. Okay,
- 41:50so if you see that and you're in a
- 41:52Baltic area, should be almost always
- 41:54Latia. You also see this blue kilometer
- 41:56marker and it's parallel to the road.
- 41:59Okay, it's parallel. It's running the
- 42:01same direction as the road. That is a
- 42:05very good clue that you are in Lafia.
- 42:07Estonia, Lafia, and Lithuania all have
- 42:09kilometer markers that look like this,
- 42:10and they actually are all blue, which
- 42:12makes it very confusing, but they are
- 42:14all at different angles to the road. Um
- 42:17so it is confusing but it does kind of
- 42:21make sense if you can remember it. Lafia
- 42:23is parallel if you see that should be
- 42:25Lafia. Last Baltic country I suppose is
- 42:28Lithuania. Now Lithuania might be the
- 42:31most open country as far as the
- 42:33landscape goes. I think Lafia is the
- 42:35most forested and Lithuania is the most
- 42:38kind of like open fields type of thing.
- 42:39As you can see there are a lot of
- 42:40forests of course but we do here we are.
- 42:42We do see those white flowers. Again
- 42:43guys don't trust the white flower
- 42:44medicine. I don't know who spread that
- 42:45information. Sometimes it works. A lot
- 42:47of times it does not. Now, Lithuania has
- 42:49a special quirk where they almost always
- 42:51have this like diagonal support on their
- 42:53poles, right? So, the pole top is not
- 42:55that important. It's more mostly the
- 42:57pole in Lithuania. You have this
- 42:59diagonal piece that kind of is just
- 43:01there to support. And here, this one
- 43:02even has two of them. Okay. This one
- 43:04over here has another. This is very
- 43:06common to Lithuania for some reason. Um,
- 43:08you really don't see that too often in
- 43:09other countries. Uh, you know, it's
- 43:11possible to see it, of course. you know,
- 43:12don't uh don't count it out. But
- 43:14Lithuania for some reason just has a
- 43:16whole bunch. Okay. Um we're also also
- 43:18looking at this chevron here. I'm also
- 43:20looking at this chevron. And this is
- 43:21actually fairly unique to Lithuania. The
- 43:23white background with the red arrow is
- 43:25not unique, but what is unique is this
- 43:27red outline on the border. Okay. So, if
- 43:30you see this with a red outline on the
- 43:32border, you should be in Lithuania. All
- 43:33right. We are now in Finland. We are
- 43:35almost completely with Europe. Guys, are
- 43:36you still with me? Finland honestly is
- 43:39just a very vibe country. Typically, you
- 43:41know, you're in Finland just based off
- 43:43the vibes. But that's not something I
- 43:44can teach to you guys. That's something
- 43:46that you have to just play the game and
- 43:47and figure out at some point. What I can
- 43:49teach you is a couple of things in this
- 43:51round. First of all, we're looking at
- 43:52this snow pole. And Finland loves to use
- 43:54these snow poles here that you you can
- 43:56see snow poles in a handful of
- 43:58countries, particularly Sweden and
- 43:59Norway. But what's different from those
- 44:02is that there's this white little mark
- 44:04here, and it is super close to the top.
- 44:06And we're going to look at one in Sweden
- 44:08that looks a lot different. But um this
- 44:11finished one is unique to the country in
- 44:13fact that this white is so close to the
- 44:14top and it's pretty small as well. And
- 44:16you'll see that it's on, you know, all
- 44:18the snow poles around here. There's a
- 44:19whole bunch of them here as well,
- 44:20especially in the winter time when
- 44:21there's snow and stuff, which does
- 44:23happen in Finland. You will commonly see
- 44:25signs in Finland as well that have a red
- 44:27outline. Kind of hard to see here. The
- 44:29camera is not really making it look red,
- 44:30but it is red, guys. I promise. There's
- 44:33one over here as well. This one looks a
- 44:34little bit more red, actually. So, um
- 44:36those are very common. And you'll see
- 44:38these on street signs, bigger signs um
- 44:41on the road as well. These are just
- 44:42little bus little little bus signs here
- 44:44that are a little smaller. But another
- 44:46thing that you'll see a lot in Finland
- 44:47is Bad Cam. This is the same location
- 44:50just using the Bad Cam. Look how look
- 44:52how different it looks, man. Look how
- 44:53much different it looks compared to what
- 44:54we just saw. Anyways, Bad Cam isn't
- 44:57really a good clue anymore. I would say
- 44:58it was a great clue for for Finland
- 45:00because it was, I believe, the first
- 45:02European country to get Bad Cam and it
- 45:04has a ton right now. It is definitely
- 45:06the country in Europe that has the most
- 45:08bad cam right now. That could change in
- 45:10the future because all European
- 45:11countries it seems like are now getting
- 45:13bad CAM. Uh which is very unfortunate.
- 45:16So, this used to be a good clue. It's
- 45:17going to become more irrelevant in going
- 45:19into the future, but um it still was a
- 45:22decent clue right now um for Finland
- 45:24because there's just so much of it. All
- 45:26right, here we have neighboring Sweden.
- 45:28Now, I don't know if you noticed in the
- 45:29last round, but there were a lot of red
- 45:30buildings. Red buildings are very common
- 45:33in sort of the Scandinavian countries
- 45:35and um you know they're not really found
- 45:38elsewhere to be honest. You might see
- 45:40some red buildings in other countries
- 45:41but Sweden, Finland, Norway definitely
- 45:44the three countries that are the most
- 45:45common for these and Sweden being the
- 45:48biggest one because Sweden just has
- 45:51almost all their buildings are just like
- 45:53red besides that one I guess. But yeah,
- 45:55here we are in Sweden. Sweden is a
- 45:57fairly easy country to get because of
- 45:58the outer road lines here. Um, you'll
- 46:00notice that there are they are shorter.
- 46:02Okay, we have shorter outer road lines
- 46:04kind of similar to the Netherlands, but
- 46:06they're not as close together as
- 46:07Netherlands are, right? So, these are
- 46:09shorter. We saw the ones in France. The
- 46:10France ones were thicker. Okay, these
- 46:12are a lot thinner and smaller than the
- 46:16than the French ones. Okay, so once once
- 46:18you play a little bit, you'll start to
- 46:19realize that a little bit. But yeah, the
- 46:20only other place that has these exact
- 46:23road lines is going to be Estonia. Okay,
- 46:26so those are the two countries that you
- 46:27might confuse each other for because
- 46:29they both like to use these type of road
- 46:31lines. Typically, you will you will see
- 46:32signs like this that are blue with like
- 46:34this white arrow. Now, you will see
- 46:37signs like this in other countries, but
- 46:39this is technically unique to Sweden
- 46:42because this white arrow is not filled
- 46:44in. Other countries like Finland will
- 46:46have this being filled in, but in Sweden
- 46:49it's not. It is tough. It's a very it's
- 46:51a very minute um difference. Um, also
- 46:54over here we have the yellow with the
- 46:56red outline. Again, Finland also has
- 46:58these. So, the infrastructure for the
- 47:00signs are are somewhat similar for this
- 47:02one, but um, Finland will never have
- 47:04these type of outer road lines. You
- 47:06know, never with an asterisk cuz there
- 47:07there's an exception to every rule,
- 47:09guys. There is there's an exception to
- 47:10every single rule in the world, but um,
- 47:13you know, generally they won't. And here
- 47:14we have Norway. Now, Norway is a country
- 47:18that also has dashed out of road lines,
- 47:20but they're much longer than Sweden.
- 47:22Okay, they're much longer. Here's a
- 47:23better look at them. Look how much
- 47:25longer they are. So, that's a really
- 47:26good example of a difference between the
- 47:29two countries. We also have a snow pole
- 47:31here. And here is it's black for some
- 47:34reason. Usually, they're orange. Okay,
- 47:35this one is just a random black one. Um,
- 47:37but notice how the white is way closer
- 47:40to the middle than the finished one.
- 47:42Remember, the finished one was way up
- 47:43here towards the top. This one can be
- 47:46found in Norway and Sweden, guys. Okay,
- 47:48so you will see this one in Norway and
- 47:50Sweden, but not Finland. So, that can
- 47:53help you out a little bit. I'm also
- 47:55looking over here and I see this sign.
- 47:57This sign is all yellow. There's no red
- 47:58at all, right? No red border. It's a
- 48:00black border. This is Norway. Okay,
- 48:03Finland, Sweden, you'll see that red
- 48:05border on it. This one's Norway because
- 48:07there's no red border, which makes it a
- 48:09very, very good clue. Also, Norway is
- 48:11just way more mountainous than the other
- 48:13two countries. There's like no mountains
- 48:14at all in Finland and Sweden. There are
- 48:17some mountains, but typically closer to
- 48:18the Norway border, right? So, um, still
- 48:21we got red buildings in Norway. Less of
- 48:23them, I I'd say less of them. Maybe not.
- 48:25H Yeah, there's there's less of them.
- 48:26There's lots of them in Norway, but uh
- 48:28yeah, that is Norway for you. Finally,
- 48:30we've made it to our last country of the
- 48:33video, guys. If you learned something
- 48:34new, make sure to leave a like, man. I
- 48:36really do appreciate it. But here we are
- 48:38in Denmark. And this is a very Denmark
- 48:41location right here. I'm just going to
- 48:42say it. This is extremely Denmark. I
- 48:44don't even have to like pan around.
- 48:46NMPPZ. I'm going Denmark. I can even
- 48:48zoom in just to right here. Just to
- 48:50right here, I'm going Denmark. First of
- 48:51all, we have the Danish Ballard. This is
- 48:53one of the most recognizable ballards in
- 48:55the world with this orange stripe near
- 48:56the top and the yellow in the uh
- 48:58reflector in the middle. But if this
- 49:00Ballard wasn't even here, I would still
- 49:03go Denmark because of this sign right
- 49:05here. Remember guys remember Luxembourg
- 49:07with those rounded corners to their
- 49:09signs? Well, here is the Denmark
- 49:11version. It's very similar. It is very
- 49:13similar. And those two countries can
- 49:15sometimes get confused because of that.
- 49:17But Denmark of course speaks Danish and
- 49:19Luxembourg typically speaks French or or
- 49:22German. So um you know there there are
- 49:24differences in the language from what's
- 49:26actually on the sign. But this metal
- 49:28sort of outline very unique to just
- 49:30those two countries which is fantastic.
- 49:32So if I see this ballard and this
- 49:34outline it's like double whammy of uh
- 49:38Denmark clues. Also to make to make
- 49:41things even easier, we have double white
- 49:43in the middle, which as I said is either
- 49:46this Poland or Greece. Obviously, this
- 49:48is Denmark with this type of
- 49:50infrastructure. And I see another clue.
- 49:52We have some chevrons. So many so many
- 49:55clues in this one. We have the white
- 49:56with the red chevrons here. This is kind
- 49:58of unique to Denmark. Obviously, this
- 50:00color scheme is found in a lot of
- 50:02different countries, but it's super low
- 50:03to the ground, right? It's super low to
- 50:05the ground. It's actually like shorter
- 50:07than the Ballards almost, you know? So,
- 50:09it's very low to the ground. Typically,
- 50:10you'll see taller chevrons in other
- 50:12countries. So, yeah, kind of unique to
- 50:14Denmark there. With all of these clues,
- 50:16um, I'd be very confident in studying
- 50:18Denmark. There you have it. That is the
- 50:19beginner's guide to Europe for a
- 50:20geogaster and open Gasser. I hope you
- 50:22learned something new. Europe is the
- 50:24hardest continent in my opinion. So, if
- 50:25you can do good in this continent,
- 50:27you're probably going to be doing good
- 50:28in the rest of the game. So, as always
- 50:31guys, thank you so much for watching and
- 50:32I'll see you in the next
