  1. 0:00hey guys welcome to another video and
  2. 0:01welcome to my art studio and you're
  3. 0:03probably wondering
  4. 0:04um why did we not know about this tuna
  5. 0:06believe me I've been trying to film a
  6. 0:08video introducing it for ages but I just
  7. 0:10never got around to doing it and I'm
  8. 0:12doing a voiceover because people outside
  9. 0:14my studio are being really loud so I
  10. 0:16couldn't really talk and here we are so
  11. 0:18in this video I wanted to show you guys
  12. 0:21my filler recipe
  13. 0:23um that I have been using well only just
  14. 0:26recently to be fair because as you
  15. 0:28probably saw my other videos I've only
  16. 0:30just been using filler I'm using filler
  17. 0:32I'm using PVA and I'm using acrylic
  18. 0:35paint none of these ingredients are
  19. 0:38generally really that hard to find
  20. 0:40anyways
  21. 0:42um I thought let me try a really basic
  22. 0:44recipe and you know ideally I wanted to
  23. 0:48tweak it if I needed to put some molding
  24. 0:50plaster or plaster of Paris but to be
  25. 0:53honest
  26. 0:54this recipe with just these three
  27. 0:57ingredients Works beautifully for me and
  28. 1:00plus these are really easy to find
  29. 1:02products so it's not you're not gonna
  30. 1:04have to like Source fancy clay or sand
  31. 1:08or anything like that you guys can
  32. 1:11probably judge for yourself once you see
  33. 1:13me apply it onto the canvas how nice it
  34. 1:16actually is this is a close-up of the
  35. 1:19texture like you can see how smooth and
  36. 1:22how soft it is and to be fair you can
  37. 1:26use palette knife you can use your hands
  38. 1:28you can use anything that you you want
  39. 1:30because it's so easy to handle so once
  40. 1:33you've mixed everything together you can
  41. 1:34really just apply it straight onto your
  42. 1:37canvas
  43. 1:38um this is a piece that I am doing two
  44. 1:41parts in so I'm just doing the
  45. 1:44background and then on top of it I'm
  46. 1:46going to be doing something else which
  47. 1:47you'll probably see in another video but
  48. 1:49for now I am just doing the base texture
  49. 1:53mixing it wise I would definitely
  50. 1:56probably use a spatula you probably saw
  51. 1:59that I used a pilot knife to try and mix
  52. 2:02things don't do that I don't know what I
  53. 2:04was thinking as you can probably see the
  54. 2:07texture is beautiful if I can just move
  55. 2:10my arm out the way that would be great
  56. 2:12grace thank you so the texture is so
  57. 2:16smooth and I think to be fair a lot of
  58. 2:19you guys in my previous videos have told
  59. 2:22me to put PVA in and I don't know why I
  60. 2:24didn't do it sooner because with filler
  61. 2:27on its own it's so it's so rough in a
  62. 2:31sense where it can be quite dry so if
  63. 2:34you put PVA and the acrylic is purely
  64. 2:37for color you can put any other color
  65. 2:38that you want in it there has been some
  66. 2:41instances where I have put acrylic with
  67. 2:43plaster and I feel like it accelerates
  68. 2:46the setting
  69. 2:49I don't know what you call it like the
  70. 2:50setting process so
  71. 2:53with the filler and the PVA I think it
  72. 2:56Mellows it out really nice but in
  73. 2:58general like this recipe it's so basic
  74. 3:01and anyone can do it I don't measure
  75. 3:04anything literally I just do things by
  76. 3:06the eye just try and use probably maybe
  77. 3:12two parts filler one part PVA and then a
  78. 3:15little bit of acrylic paint according to
  79. 3:17however you want it
  80. 3:19um I know that's not helpful but
  81. 3:22I I do this how I cook I don't have a
  82. 3:25recipe I just do things by eye and all
  83. 3:29in all
  84. 3:30this is how it looks on canvas it's
  85. 3:32really smooth I definitely recommend
  86. 3:34that you try this out
  87. 3:36um I've made too much so I'm gonna put
  88. 3:38it back in a pot and I'm gonna seal it
  89. 3:40and then I'm gonna come back to the
  90. 3:42studio in a few days and I'm going to
  91. 3:43show you guys if it has kept its
  92. 3:45consistency because a lot of time when
  93. 3:48you don't measure things out you often
  94. 3:49make too much or too little so I think
  95. 3:52that would be a good chance for us to
  96. 3:55see whether this actually keeps so you
  97. 3:57could probably make bucket loads at the
  98. 3:59time if you want to save time and that's
  99. 4:02the end of the video I hope you guys can
  100. 4:03try this recipe honestly it's the most
  101. 4:05easiest thing to do and it will save
  102. 4:06your life like it will just it would
  103. 4:09just make your life so much easier
  104. 4:10remember to stay tuned for part two and
  105. 4:12please subscribe to my channel and I'll
  106. 4:13see you guys in the next video bye
