  13. 0:31this time he made it but on the way down
  14. 0:34Lincoln Hall was again hit by altitude
  15. 0:36sickness his team left him there
  16. 0:39according to Sydney Morning Herald he
  17. 0:41was left for dead on the mountain at
  18. 0:438700 meters when he broke down while
  19. 0:45descending from the 8,848 metres summit
  20. 0:49those with him could not move him after
  21. 0:52he became delirious a sign of edema or
  22. 0:54fluid on the brain the world-renowned
  23. 0:56climber had a career that spanned 30
  24. 0:59years and included expeditions across
  25. 1:01the Himalayas Andes and Antarctica
  26. 1:04according to Australia's channel 7 news
  27. 1:06mr. Hall died peacefully at Sydney's
  28. 1:08Royal Prince Alfred hospital on Tuesday
  29. 1:11after a year-long battle with
  30. 1:13mesothelioma the climber and author was
  31. 1:15diagnosed with the rare cancer last year
  32. 1:17the result of being exposed to asbestos
  33. 1:20while building cubby houses as a child
  34. 1:22Paul is survived by his wife Barbara
  35. 1:24Scanlon and two sons
