Full transcript
- 0:00At the end of an interview, there's
- 0:01always [music] that moment where they
- 0:02say do you have any questions for us?
- 0:03And what I've seen sitting on the other
- 0:05side of the table is people [music]
- 0:06either ask question they don't really
- 0:07have because they feel like they're
- 0:08supposed to or they say no, I don't have
- 0:10any questions. [music]
- 0:11And it's just a missed opportunity. And
- 0:13so this one I have to give credit to my
- 0:15co-founder. He came up with and this is
- 0:16one of the things that I did [music] not
- 0:17anticipate I got the most positive
- 0:19responses like I got the job because of
- 0:21this question type of the thing. And the
- 0:22question [music] is, okay, so let's say
- 0:24that this interview went really well
- 0:27and a year from now I got the job and
- 0:28you're looking back, what would I have
- 0:31had to have done in order for you
- 0:32[music] to feel like it was a good
- 0:33decision? Like what things will I have
- 0:35had to have done in that in that role?
- 0:36And so typically the person goes, I like
- 0:38that. That's a [music] really good
- 0:39question. And it does a handful of
- 0:40things. One, you've gotten them to
- 0:42imagine the interview going really well
- 0:43and them hiring you, right? And then
- 0:45second, they're going to lay out for you
- 0:47exactly what you need to do [music]
- 0:49in the role to excel. And that is
- 0:51something that every boss wants. It's
- 0:53like I want you interested in knowing
- 0:55[music] what I need from you in order to
- 0:57do a good job.
