- 0:00and I held it up against my arm and I
- 0:01started pushing into it and I I couldn't
- 0:03get the the knife to sink in and so I
- 0:06switched over and I I pulled out the
- 0:08smaller blade and with the smaller blade
- 0:11then I actually started the the
- 0:13amputation the smaller one was still a
- 0:14little more sharp the smaller blade was
- 0:17just 2 in long I just dove into this
- 0:20exercise this this serg surgical
- 0:23procedure and started cutting away he
- 0:27cut through the top layer of skin and
- 0:29muscle until he saw saw an artery only
- 0:31then did he realize he'd forgotten to
- 0:33apply the tourniquet he had fashioned
- 0:35days earlier from the insulated lining
- 0:37of his water bottle I put the tourniquet
- 0:40on and I was bleeding down the wall
- 0:43and I severed the artery and he through
- 0:46more muscle and two more arteries then
- 0:49tendon the most difficult layer his dull
- 0:52knife was unable to cut through through
- 0:54it so I ended up taking the plier side
- 0:56of the
- 0:57knife and using that to to grab and
- 1:00twist and rip
- 1:03um until the tendon gave away it was
- 1:06slow painful excruciating work he hacked
- 1:09away at his arm for nearly an hour layer
- 1:12by layer until he saw what he knew would
- 1:15cause the most intense pain yet and then
- 1:18I was looking at the the nerve this
- 1:20little strand of
- 1:22spaghetti running
- 1:24through running through my arm and I had
- 1:27to take the knife and pry it up and even
- 1:31just when I touched it it felt like the
- 1:33fire
- 1:34of sticking my arm
- 1:39into just pot of liquid metal it it
- 1:44burned all the way up up my arm and and
- 1:47I took it again and lifted it up I knew
- 1:49it was going to hurt and I plucked it up
- 1:53and did in a motion like that and that
- 1:56that fire sensation redoubled and went
- 2:00all the way up to my
- 2:03shoulder but I knew that was the hard
- 2:05part it was only a few more moments of
- 2:07work after that and then boom and I
- 2:10wasn't even attached anymore and I fell
- 2:12down like this and I I
- 2:17I I was
- 2:28free
- 2:30you were
- 2:33reborn it was was the happiest moment of
- 2:38my
- 2:39life it's it's funny to think about it
- 2:42being there will never be a more
- 2:45powerful experience
