15. 0:31company my hospital uses telling me i
16. 0:33can take 15 off when i shop for my own
17. 0:35lab tests i guess now instead of just
18. 0:37getting the medical care we need when we
19. 0:38need it we're expected to shop holiday
20. 0:40sales like we do for furniture and cars
21. 0:42then to treat yourself to a discounted
22. 0:44blood panel or cancer screening for the
23. 0:45holidays
24. 0:47i live in america where
25. 0:49vaccines are controversial
26. 0:51and climate change isn't a thing to a
27. 0:54lot of people
28. 0:55come on down to the us of a today
29. 0:58where you're forced to give birth forced
30. 1:01to pay tens of thousands of dollars of
31. 1:02medical bills to have the baby and then
32. 1:05not give it any time off as a new mom to
33. 1:08take care of your baby that you couldn't
34. 1:10afford in the first place
35. 1:11all we want is a livable minimum wage
36. 1:14and look instead people are like well
37. 1:16why don't we have a smoothie bar
38. 1:17companies are donating millions of
39. 1:19dollars to charity but they refuse to
40. 1:22actually pay any of their employees the
41. 1:24proper ways they need to survive just
42. 1:27gotten some coupons in the mail they're
43. 1:29from a cemetery
44. 1:31i mean you know
45. 1:33got to get in on those holiday sales
46. 1:34right
47. 1:35so the mri comes back diagnosed needs

49. 1:4022 my insurance is doubling in cost so
50. 1:442022 i have to start the year with a
51. 1:46double insurance bill thousands of
52. 1:48dollars worth of surgery plus i
53. 1:50accumulated at least a thousand dollars
54. 1:52in debt this month from diagnosing that

61. 2:09whether it's fundraising for medical
62. 2:11expenses
63. 2:12or like mine where it's a medical wish
64. 2:14list because we have so many needs that
65. 2:17insurance does not cover
66. 2:20remember in 2018 when goldman sachs
67. 2:23published a report asking whether curing
68. 2:25patients was a sustainable business
69. 2:27model that is our health care system
70. 2:30people of color with minor drug charges
71. 2:32are serving longer sentences than
72. 2:34for-profit prisons than the people who
73. 2:37tried to overthrow the government on
74. 2:38january 6th as a part of my day job i do
75. 2:42coveted testing
76. 2:44and
77. 2:45i've had a car full of people
78. 2:48whose rapid tests were positive
79. 2:51and then they drive up to me to get a
80. 2:54pcr test
81. 2:55i ask if they're vaccinated
82. 2:58and they say of course not
83. 3:00is this the twilight zone
84. 3:02it's easier to get a religious exemption
85. 3:04from a vaccine mandate at your workplace
86. 3:06than it is to get accommodations for
87. 3:09your um autoimmune disease during a
88. 3:10pandemic just like men are often
89. 3:12confused about why so many women are
90. 3:15watching true crime documentaries and
91. 3:17listening to true crime podcasts that is
92. 3:20until a woman explains to them that many
93. 3:22are watching for
94. 3:24warning signs and survival tips in case
95. 3:26they find themselves in a dangerous
96. 3:27situation
97. 3:29americans are often confused in the same
98. 3:30way about why so many people in other
99. 3:33countries appear to be watching the us
100. 3:35like it's a form of entertainment it's
101. 3:37not about entertainment we are taking
102. 3:38notes america home of the free
103. 3:41unless you're a woman
104. 3:43or a person of color i could literally
105. 3:45go on for hours about how we are living
106. 3:46in a dystopia and nobody sees it but i'm
107. 3:50tired of talking out my ass because
108. 3:51nobody sees it
