- 0:00Hey everyone
- 0:00Apple Watch has been around for so long
- 0:02it’s now on Series 11
- 0:03and I finally got to use it
- 0:05This is my first time using an Apple Watch
- 0:07This is the Apple Watch Series 11
- 0:08I’ve been wearing it for about a month
- 0:10I think before using these smart devices
- 0:12we should take some time
- 0:14to look up what useful must-know features it has
- 0:17Don’t worry, everyone
- 0:18this video
- 0:18has already done the research for those
- 0:21who are new or planning to buy one
- 0:22If you’re already familiar with Apple Watch
- 0:24then help me see what features we missed
- 0:26Let’s start with some basic operations
- 0:29If you want to find Apps on the watch
- 0:31press the Digital Crown
- 0:32and it will enter App View
- 0:34then all the Apps are connected like this
- 0:37But if you feel like it’s hard to tell which App is which
- 0:40scroll to the bottom
- 0:42here
- 0:42you can switch to List View
- 0:44and each App has a name
- 0:46so it’s easier to find
- 0:47A lot of people still like Grid View
- 0:50Did you know you can place your frequently used apps in the center
- 0:52so you can find them instantly
- 0:54Go into the Watch App
- 0:56and find “App View”
- 0:58then under Grid View
- 0:59you can choose the layout
- 1:01this shows your watch layout
- 1:03For example, I often use
- 1:04Camera Remote
- 1:06so I can move it to the top
- 1:08and move your favorite and frequently used Apps
- 1:10to the top
- 1:10so when you open it
- 1:11you can quickly tap into them
- 1:12At first, I felt that some Apps
- 1:14don’t need to appear on Apple Watch at all
- 1:16can they be hidden?
- 1:17yes
- 1:18you can go into the Watch App
- 1:19and scroll to the bottom
- 1:21there is a section called “Installed on Apple Watch”
- 1:23these are Apps downloaded on your iPhone
- 1:25that also support Apple Watch
- 1:27find the App you don’t want to show
- 1:29and
- 1:29turn off “Show App on Apple Watch”
- 1:32then it won’t appear on your Apple Watch
- 1:35Apple Watch has some one-handed gestures
- 1:38which I think are pretty cool
- 1:38and when you first use it
- 1:40it will also guide you through them
- 1:41For example, when waking your Apple Watch
- 1:43you double tap
- 1:45and you can open the Smart Stack
- 1:47This Smart Stack is kind of like
- 1:48widgets on iPhone
- 1:50you can place some information here
- 1:51for quick viewing
- 1:52like weather, calendar, and more
- 1:54This double tap gesture
- 1:56can be used to answer or end calls
- 1:58or snooze alarms, take photos, and more
- 2:00so it’s very convenient when one hand is busy
- 2:03Another gesture is wrist flick
- 2:07because Apple Watch doesn’t have a back or close option
- 2:10on older models, pressing the Digital Crown goes back
- 2:13or covering the screen with your hand returns to the Home screen
- 2:16Now when I finish using an App
- 2:17just flick my wrist
- 2:18and it goes back to the Home screen
- 2:19and closes the App
- 2:21For example, after reading a message
- 2:23you can flick your wrist to close it
- 2:25Or if you’re in a meeting and get a call
- 2:27but can’t answer, flick your wrist to mute it
- 2:29or you can cover the screen to mute it as well
- 2:32If you want to close or restart an App on your watch
- 2:35what should you do?
- 2:37First, double press the Digital Crown
- 2:39and it will show the Apps you recently used
- 2:41select the App you want to close and swipe left
- 2:43then tap X
- 2:44swipe left and tap X
- 2:46swipe left and tap X
- 2:47As for Control Center on Apple Watch
- 2:49it’s the button on the right
- 2:50press it once
- 2:51and it will open
- 2:52Here you can check your watch battery
- 2:54turn on the flashlight
- 2:55and access settings like silent mode
- 2:57Earlier we mentioned double tapping your fingers
- 3:00to bring up the Smart Stack
- 3:01On earlier models
- 3:03you scroll the Digital Crown upward
- 3:06to bring up the Smart Stack
- 3:08It shows what App you’re currently using
- 3:10For example, if I’m listening to music
- 3:11it will appear at the top
- 3:12If you have some frequently used Apps
- 3:14and want them at the top
- 3:15you can add widgets here
- 3:17for example, Calendar
- 3:18Timer and other Apps you often use
- 3:21Tap the pin icon in the top right
- 3:23and you can pin this widget
- 3:25so every time you open the Smart Stack
- 3:26it will appear first
- 3:28For those of you who’ve been using it for a while
- 3:29can you share with me
- 3:30what you put in your Smart Stack
- 3:33because for things I need quick access to
- 3:34I just put them on my watch face
- 3:36so I don’t really need to put much here
- 3:38so what do you usually put
- 3:40Now that we’ve covered the basics
- 3:41I want to share
- 3:42after using Apple Watch myself
- 3:44a few features I find really useful
- 3:46Sometimes when you go out and your phone is in your bag
- 3:48and you don’t want to take it out
- 3:49your Apple Watch
- 3:50can directly use Apple Pay or LINE Pay
- 3:52Even if you’ve already set up Apple Pay on your phone
- 3:54you still need to set it up again on the new watch
- 3:56you can set it up in the Wallet App on the watch
- 3:59after following the steps
- 4:01when you’re out, double press the Side Button
- 4:04to bring up Apple Pay
- 4:05then you can
- 4:06tap to pay
- 4:07As for LINE Pay
- 4:09you need to download the LINE Pay App on your phone first
- 4:11and it will sync to the watch
- 4:12I usually add a LINE Pay shortcut to my watch face
- 4:16so when needed
- 4:17you can just tap and pay directly
- 4:19uh
- 4:20you’ll blur that out for me, right
- 4:21For the receipt carrier
- 4:23I download an App called Invoice Carrier on my phone
- 4:25Some Apps don’t support Apple Watch
- 4:27scroll down in the App Store
- 4:29and here
- 4:29it will show which devices it supports
- 4:32If it shows Apple Watch support
- 4:33then it supports the watch
- 4:35I also put it directly on my watch face
- 4:37so I can tap once to quickly open it
- 4:39very convenient
- 4:40So how do you change the watch face
- 4:41you go into the Watch App
- 4:43and go to the Face Gallery
- 4:45there are many watch faces to choose from
- 4:48and when you tap into each one
- 4:50there are many things you can customize
- 4:52The one I’m most satisfied with
- 4:55is under Activity & Fitness
- 4:59because I want numbers
- 5:01and I want the date
- 5:03and I can add some shortcuts
- 5:04This watch face
- 5:05can add a lot of things
- 5:07scroll down to Complications
- 5:09this is what I mentioned earlier
- 5:11you can place the carrier and LINE Pay here
- 5:13But not every watch face
- 5:15supports shortcuts
- 5:17and how many you can add depends on the layout
- 5:19For the middle section
- 5:21I set it to my schedule
- 5:22so I can see what I need to do today
- 5:25In the top left
- 5:26I put Workout
- 5:28In the center
- 5:29and the bottom right I place the carrier and LINE Pay
- 5:32Go into Complications
- 5:33and find “Invoice Carrier”
- 5:35that’s the carrier I mentioned earlier
- 5:37Then for the bottom right
- 5:38we set it to LINE Pay
- 5:39My Code
- 5:41On the bottom left I use Camera Remote
- 5:43I don’t use it that often
- 5:44I think if you want
- 5:46you can also put the battery
- 5:48which is quite useful
- 5:49and it will look
- 5:51exactly like mine
- 5:52It’s telling me to stand up and move
- 5:56It’s telling me to stand up and move
- 5:58I can’t disobey it
- 5:59I, I...
- 5:59(Do you have no self-control?)
- 6:01oh
- 6:01(It tells you to stand and you just do it?)
- 6:03And this is my watch face
- 6:04I think it’s pretty useful
- 6:05I recommend this setup
- 6:07I also want to share Kao’s watch face
- 6:10Her watch face
- 6:11she chose to use photos of her favorite celebrities
- 6:14and have them rotate on the watch
- 6:16You can actually choose “Shuffle”
- 6:18to randomly show photos from your iPhone
- 6:21If you choose specific photos
- 6:23you can select up to 24 photos
- 6:24and let them rotate
- 6:26Every time you raise your wrist
- 6:28you’ll see a different photo
- 6:29She really likes it
- 6:30she really loves this wallpaper
- 6:31she shares it with me all the time
- 6:33That watch
- 6:34can I have multiple watch faces
- 6:35yes
- 6:36you can set up multiple watch faces
- 6:38you go into the Watch App
- 6:40and find “Clock”
- 6:42then “Swipe to Switch Watch Face”
- 6:44turn this option on
- 6:46then you can swipe left and right
- 6:49to switch between watch faces
- 6:50I don’t know if you often forget
- 6:52where you put your phone
- 6:53and can’t remember where you left it
- 6:54That’s okay
- 6:55you can use your watch to find your phone
- 6:57Didn’t I mention earlier
- 6:59press the Side Button once
- 7:01to open Control Center
- 7:02Tap “Ping iPhone”
- 7:04and your phone will start making a sound
- 7:06and it will roughly show
- 7:07your distance from the phone
- 7:11There it is
- 7:12Can your phone find your watch?
- 7:14yes
- 7:15First, go to Control Center on your iPhone
- 7:18and add “Ping My Apple Watch”
- 7:21When you can’t find your watch
- 7:23tap this button
- 7:26and your watch will make a sound
- 7:28so you can find it
- 7:29It can also remotely control your iPhone camera
- 7:31If no one is around to take photos for you
- 7:33and your phone is far away
- 7:35you can use your watch
- 7:36to open “Camera Remote”
- 7:38and you don’t even need to tap the watch
- 7:41you just need to use the double tap gesture
- 7:43double tap
- 7:45to take photos remotely
- 7:47If you think this App takes time to find
- 7:49you can do what I do
- 7:50and add this shortcut to your watch face
- 7:52so you can open it quickly
- 7:54Although you might not use this feature often
- 7:57did you know Apple Watch can take screenshots
- 7:58and also record the screen
- 8:00You can go to the Watch App
- 8:02then go to “General”
- 8:04and turn on “Enable Screenshots”
- 8:07After turning on “Enable Screenshots”
- 8:09press the Digital Crown and Side Button at the same time
- 8:13and it will take a screenshot
- 8:14and the screenshot
- 8:15will be saved to your Photos
- 8:17If you want to record the watch screen
- 8:19you need to mirror it to your iPhone first
- 8:21First, go to Settings on your iPhone
- 8:23on your iPhone
- 8:24not the Watch settings
- 8:26go to iPhone Settings
- 8:27then “Accessibility”
- 8:28scroll down
- 8:30to “Apple Watch Mirroring”
- 8:32turn it on
- 8:34turn on “Apple Watch Mirroring”
- 8:36then you can see the watch screen
- 8:37displayed on your iPhone
- 8:39If you want to record
- 8:40you need to turn on “Screen Recording” on your iPhone first
- 8:43with “Apple Watch Mirroring”
- 8:45then you can record the full watch screen
- 8:47Personally, my favorite feature
- 8:49is sleep tracking
- 8:50I wear my watch to sleep every day
- 8:52and every morning when I wake up
- 8:54the thing I look forward to most
- 8:55is checking my sleep score from last night
- 8:58my scores are actually pretty high
- 8:59my current record is
- 9:00I’ve been wearing it for about a month
- 9:02and I’ve hit 100 three times
- 9:04I think that’s pretty impressive
- 9:06usually I’m already in the 90s
- 9:09but there were three times I got 100
- 9:11I feel like I’m pretty good
- 9:14maybe I should enter some kind of sleep competition
- 9:17come on, anyone else here good at sleeping
- 9:19leave a comment below
- 9:21most of my scores are actually quite high
- 9:23but whenever I stay up late
- 9:25my score drops
- 9:26and it also shows
- 9:28things like your heart rate during sleep
- 9:31and your respiratory rate during sleep
- 9:33I think it’s pretty interesting
- 9:36I’m someone who sleeps quite well
- 9:38I know some people are light sleepers
- 9:40and have trouble sleeping
- 9:42but when it shows abnormal
- 9:44it’s because my sleep duration is too short
- 9:46because I didn’t sleep enough those days
- 9:48When you wake up in the morning
- 9:49if you have a wake-up alarm set
- 9:51your Apple Watch will wake you up
- 9:53it’s not like your phone
- 9:54with those really annoying alarm sounds
- 9:57it wakes you up with vibration
- 9:59it starts off very gentle
- 10:00and if it can’t wake you up
- 10:01it gets stronger and stronger
- 10:02and I have to say, it really works
- 10:07you can definitely feel it
- 10:08you really do feel yourself waking up
- 10:09but when the alarm goes off
- 10:11you just double tap like this
- 10:14and you can keep snoozing
- 10:16so I think this feature
- 10:18makes it easy to oversleep
- 10:20so make sure
- 10:21besides setting a wake-up alarm
- 10:23you also set a regular alarm
- 10:25so you don’t oversleep
- 10:27(Don’t teach them this)
- 10:28(then they won’t oversleep)
- 10:30If you have both an iPhone and an Apple Watch
- 10:32then when you set a wake-up alarm, only the watch will ring
- 10:36your phone won’t ring
- 10:36I don’t know if everyone knows
- 10:37that Apple has launched
- 10:39a service called Apple Fitness+
- 10:40since the new watch comes with three months free
- 10:42of course I had to try it
- 10:44it’s a subscription service to get you moving
- 10:46what I like about it is
- 10:48some of the videos are only ten minutes long
- 10:51you know how people are
- 10:52if you see a workout video that’s 30 minutes
- 10:55you might not want to do it
- 10:56but if it’s only ten minutes
- 10:58you’re like okay, I can push through
- 11:00at the start of the video
- 11:01there’s a trainer
- 11:03and two assistants
- 11:04when the workout starts
- 11:05since we’re wearing the watch
- 11:07it shows in the top left
- 11:09how long we’ve been working out
- 11:10heart rate
- 11:11and calories burned
- 11:12from my experience
- 11:13if you really commit to it
- 11:14it’s actually a great workout
- 11:16like when I used to do yoga at home
- 11:18after finishing, I genuinely felt
- 11:21my body being stretched and relaxed
- 11:24and on days I do stretching
- 11:26I fall asleep super fast at night
- 11:28right?
- 11:29Right?
- 11:30RIGHT?
- 11:31makes you want to try it, right?
- 11:31(But you already sleep well)
- 11:33I really do sleep well
- 11:34but sometimes I still toss a bit
- 11:37oh,I don’t?
- 11:38And people nowadays are really busy
- 11:40So if after work
- 11:41you still have to go out to exercise
- 11:42you’ll feel really tired
- 11:43and it lowers your motivation to exercise
- 11:45so this kind of thing is great
- 11:46for when you’re at home and have some free time
- 11:48to do a bit of exercise
- 11:49for example, half an hour before showering
- 11:51you can do some light stretching
- 11:53you know, at my age now
- 11:55sitting all day
- 11:57by the evening I really need to stretch
- 11:59you know every time I get a massage
- 12:01it hurts like crazy
- 12:02it’s super painful
- 12:03I checked and the monthly fee is NT$150
- 12:05and you can share it with up to five family members
- 12:08so you can also use it with your family or friends
- 12:10experience Fitness+ together
- 12:12but when I’m exercising
- 12:13there’s one thing
- 12:15that feels a bit inconvenient
- 12:16which is that it’s all in English
- 12:18and also English subtitles
- 12:20so when I’m exercising
- 12:21I might not fully understand the English
- 12:23so I have to keep watching the trainer
- 12:24for example, in some movements where I’m looking down
- 12:26doing this
- 12:27I still have to look at the trainer like this
- 12:29to know when to switch to the next move
- 12:32that’s about it
- 12:33since I usually choose short ten-minute workouts
- 12:36I feel like
- 12:37it’s not that painful to work out
- 12:39alright, that’s everything
- 12:41that I think new Apple Watch users
- 12:42should learn
- 12:44if there’s anything I missed
- 12:45feel free to leave a comment below
- 12:48and if you liked this video
- 12:49don’t forget to like
- 12:50subscribe to my channel
- 12:51and follow my Instagram
- 12:53see you in the next video
- 12:54bye everyone
- 12:57hey, I think my watch band looks really nice
