  21. 0:42tell me if i did or not in just a second
  22. 0:44she is the sole survivor
  23. 0:47of an airplane crash that happened in
  24. 0:48the jungle of vietnam
  25. 0:50um she went back to the the plane from
  26. 0:53what i understand crashed into a
  27. 0:54mountain

  43. 1:25morning annette
  44. 1:27good morning how are you pretty good how
  45. 1:29are you
  46. 1:30all right and where are you where are
  47. 1:32you
  48. 1:33i'm calling from new york from new york
  49. 1:38robin will be visiting you yep in a few
  50. 1:40days
  51. 1:41not personally but you're sitting there
  52. 1:43looking for it and that am i saying your
  53. 1:44last name correctly
  54. 1:46harrison's h-e-r-f-k-e-n-s
  55. 1:49hair of harrison hafkens okay
  56. 1:53uh annette how long ago did the the
  57. 1:55crash happen
  58. 1:56in 1992. i am i was i was an
  59. 2:00investment banker at the time working in
  60. 2:01madrid and my fiance
  61. 2:03you were 13 years together um was
  62. 2:06setting up a branch for ing bank in ho
  63. 2:09chi minh city and we were
  64. 2:11off to romantic vacation on the south
  65. 2:13china
  66. 2:14sea and he had arranged a trip
  67. 2:18um and we had only five days and um this
  68. 2:21was gonna be beautiful
  69. 2:22and romantic but when i saw the plane i
  70. 2:25did not want to go in
  71. 2:26it was for me too old and too small i'm
  72. 2:28very claustrophobic
  73. 2:29and um he told me the flight was only
  74. 2:32gonna be
  75. 2:33for 20 minutes but in fact it was 55
  76. 2:38okay and then why was there a big
  77. 2:40difference in what he said it would be
  78. 2:42and what it was
  79. 2:43because he tricked me he tricked me way
  80. 2:45too
  81. 2:46dangerous to go by car and he tricked me
  82. 2:48okay
  83. 2:50so so uh so there was a small plane and
  84. 2:53and you reluctantly got on the plane and
  85. 2:56then what happened
  86. 2:58well then the 20th minute we didn't go
  87. 3:00down and said if i didn't go down i said
  88. 3:01well i had to trick you to get in and i
  89. 3:03was very much
  90. 3:04focused on on getting through the flight
  91. 3:06and so not as much
  92. 3:09um on the fact that we were flying until
  93. 3:12we made a gigantic drop
  94. 3:13real people were screaming and um
  95. 3:17i was still but i said well a small
  96. 3:19plane would feel like that so i was not
  97. 3:21scared but william looked at me scared
  98. 3:24and then there were accelerating motors
  99. 3:26and um he
  100. 3:27he grabbed from my hand and i got for
  101. 3:29his and then we we crashed into the
  102. 3:31mountain
  103. 3:32goodness did you pass out yeah
  104. 3:35the next thing i know i woke up and one
  105. 3:38moment you hear these
  106. 3:39these motors i was playing next moment i
  107. 3:42woke up to
  108. 3:43really eerie sounds of the jungle and
  109. 3:46like a loud sign and so to say and um
  110. 3:50i felt something on top of me which was
  111. 3:52a chair
  112. 3:53with a dead man as it turned out i
  113. 3:56pushed that away
  114. 3:57immediately and then i realized
  115. 3:59something had happened and i looked at
  116. 4:01my left and i saw william
  117. 4:03and still strapped in his feet and he
  118. 4:05was dead oh my goodness
  119. 4:07what what were your what was your
  120. 4:09physical condition
  121. 4:11um i must have gone into shock at that
  122. 4:14moment i did i don't
  123. 4:15from the moment that i saw willem dead
  124. 4:17until the next moment
  125. 4:19i i'm in the jungle on the jungle floor
  126. 4:22uh i was heavily wounded i had about
  127. 4:24five or six
  128. 4:25um fractures in my hips i had collapsed
  129. 4:28long and
  130. 4:29and i had terribly wound several wounds
  131. 4:31but i must have somehow gotten out of
  132. 4:33that plane
  133. 4:34despite all those injuries you don't
  134. 4:35remember you don't remember climbing out
  135. 4:37of the plane
  136. 4:39no i don't remember one moment i
  137. 4:42the next moment i'm out in the jungle on
  138. 4:44the jungle floor with
  139. 4:46tweaks scraping my legs and and
  140. 4:49insects and my goodness how far
  141. 4:52how far were you when you finally
  142. 4:54realized when you came
  143. 4:56to your senses again how far were you
  144. 4:58from the wreck of the plane
  145. 5:00about three feet oh three feet the
  146. 5:03mountain three or four feet but it was
  147. 5:05down
  148. 5:06the mountain so i don't really know how
  149. 5:08i meant to get out of it because i must
  150. 5:09have
  151. 5:11gone i must have lowered my body somehow
  152. 5:14because it was
  153. 5:14in the slope and um i mean next to me
  154. 5:17there was a man
  155. 5:19alive still speaking in english even but
  156. 5:22he was in a very bad shape and there
  157. 5:23were a few more people
  158. 5:25out on the jungle floor moaning in the
  159. 5:26beginning so they but they all died
  160. 5:28right
  161. 5:30eventually this happened at seven
  162. 5:31o'clock and i think by 10 o'clock
  163. 5:33am um everyone had died it was bad
  164. 5:37holy mackerel so what was your first
  165. 5:39instinct to do
  166. 5:40at that point my first instinct was
  167. 5:45listening to my instinct because that's
  168. 5:47i i was a traitor so i did not
  169. 5:49leave that i didn't let my emotion take
  170. 5:51over i just stayed really still
  171. 5:52and i observed the situation and i just
  172. 5:55accepted it also i guess i mean i'm not
  173. 5:57the i'm a city girl always wants to see
  174. 5:59the girl now i'm in the jungle
  175. 6:00yeah right wow um but i didn't fight it
  176. 6:04i just really
  177. 6:05i did i really did all those the right
  178. 6:07step but to say for survival i just
  179. 6:08observed and i believed i really
  180. 6:10believed i first the first thing
  181. 6:12you have to believe that happened and
  182. 6:14then the next thing is not to fight it
  183. 6:16as it should not have happened
  184. 6:17because it actually had happened and i
  185. 6:20stayed still with that
  186. 6:21so did you have a part of you that said
  187. 6:23look there's an emotion
  188. 6:24here that i'm going to feel but i can't
  189. 6:27feel it right now because it's going to
  190. 6:29it's going to okay so i think i know
  191. 6:31where you're going with that so
  192. 6:33i mean you've obviously you've lost
  193. 6:34somebody you love and had a terrible
  194. 6:37thing happen to you but
  195. 6:38you will deal with that later right i
  196. 6:40will deal with that
  197. 6:41holy man i couldn't because if i would
  198. 6:44be
  199. 6:44crying then i would i mean then you get
  200. 6:47lost into the emotion
  201. 6:49you're a strong woman well yeah i was a
  202. 6:52traitor but it was really
  203. 6:54i don't think that's it i i think i
  204. 6:55stayed open it's it's just i control my
  205. 6:58mind but
  206. 6:58in the end i end up listening to my
  207. 7:00heart i know a lot of traders who are
  208. 7:01not as strong as you've already
  209. 7:03experienced i think
  210. 7:06you're giving you're giving credit to
  211. 7:07the trader trade but i think it's you
  212. 7:10and i think you're right i think you're
  213. 7:12right i think it was more the fact that
  214. 7:14i did listen
  215. 7:15to that voice inside also as a traitor i
  216. 7:17think i was very successful because i
  217. 7:19always listened to that side
  218. 7:20to that little voice wow wow and i think
  219. 7:23i did that there too and then too
  220. 7:25so what did you do then did you try to
  221. 7:27set a fire and and get somebody's
  222. 7:28attention did you try to walk to a
  223. 7:31a nearby place or something yeah i
  224. 7:34thought of all that i told all that but
  225. 7:36um it actually actually i had my
  226. 7:39personal with me
  227. 7:40and i was a smoker at the time so i had
  228. 7:42a lighter
  229. 7:43and so i thought well i can make like
  230. 7:45here i can make smoking signals because
  231. 7:47that i could not really move but at my
  232. 7:49hands i got that but it was too wet to
  233. 7:50do that
  234. 7:52i thought of all kind but then i really
  235. 7:54um i really had to
  236. 7:56for the first couple two days i stayed
  237. 7:58next to men and
  238. 7:59that he he while he was becoming more
  239. 8:02and more
  240. 8:03unpleasant to look at they were maggots
  241. 8:04and and also had to make a plan to get
  242. 8:06married
  243. 8:07oh my goodness you mean next to wilhelm
  244. 8:09you're a fiancee
  245. 8:12no not my no no my fiance was still on
  246. 8:14the plane it was next to a vietnamese
  247. 8:16man i was and he had a watch and
  248. 8:17originally i was looking at that watch
  249. 8:19all the time
  250. 8:20to see and i was counting the minutes
  251. 8:22but i really really stayed present
  252. 8:24but and but the most important thing
  253. 8:26what i think that kept me as of day one
  254. 8:28is that instead of focusing on the
  255. 8:30ugliest and the dead and the maggots and
  256. 8:32insects i focused on the beauty of the
  257. 8:34jungle
  258. 8:35and i really i shift that focus and i
  259. 8:37was really amazed by that
  260. 8:39and every time when i would get
  261. 8:40emotional or fear to get emotional i
  262. 8:43would really really stay present and
  263. 8:45focus
  264. 8:45on the beauty wow that's a lesson for
  265. 8:48all of us and
  266. 8:49anything of course also have pleasant
  267. 8:53you know that might that might be some
  268. 8:55more that might be very philosophical in
  269. 8:57other circumstances that are not as
  270. 8:59life-threatening as yours was you know
  271. 9:01we could
  272. 9:02we could take that so i applied it i did
  273. 9:04apply that later in life i really
  274. 9:07believe that if something bad happens to
  275. 9:09you
  276. 9:10that you really should not fight it as
  277. 9:12it should not have happened because that
  278. 9:13takes a lot of energy
  279. 9:15if you really start defining how the
  280. 9:17housing should have been and i really
  281. 9:19accepted reality right then and there
  282. 9:21and i think the same in raising your
  283. 9:23children i think you should
  284. 9:24accept the situation you should accept
  285. 9:26it and then from there
  286. 9:28you can if you stay calm and you stay
  287. 9:30open then
  288. 9:31the course of action will always present
  289. 9:34itself you know there's a little force
  290. 9:36inside of you you can call it instinct
  291. 9:37you can call it the voice of god but
  292. 9:39it is there it's always there in
  293. 9:41everyone
  294. 9:42you did refer about counting uh the
  295. 9:45minutes on the watch but you also
  296. 9:47counted other things when you were there
  297. 9:49and that helped keep you alert
  298. 9:54yes i yeah well i just accounted the
  299. 9:56days
  300. 9:57from day to night i i counted um
  301. 10:00but what really kept me of course
  302. 10:04well again i focused on the beauty
  303. 10:07at the same time i stayed present and at
  304. 10:09some point i said okay
  305. 10:11now i have to move away from the man i
  306. 10:14need water i need water
  307. 10:15and then i made a plan to make or to get
  308. 10:19water
  309. 10:19and i moved away from the man i moved to
  310. 10:22the the wing of the plane
  311. 10:24turns out that the that the material was
  312. 10:27the insulation material was little
  313. 10:30sponges and then i made
  314. 10:31i lined up five little bowls
  315. 10:35that i made and i waited for it to rain
  316. 10:37and then i
  317. 10:38was allowed to take little sips of water
  318. 10:41out of those soaking bowls every other
  319. 10:43hour so yes i did i did count
  320. 10:46i didn't count hours yes so you you um
  321. 10:49were eventually rescued and i want to i
  322. 10:51don't for the sake of the book i want
  323. 10:53people to
  324. 10:53be interested in the book obviously but
  325. 10:55you were eventually rescued how long
  326. 10:57before you were rescued eight days
  327. 11:01eight days wow yes eight days
  328. 11:04but again it first wasn't mind over
  329. 11:06matter and by
  330. 11:07and that's why i decided in the end to
  331. 11:09write a book but by the fifth or sixth
  332. 11:11day six days of course i was dying and i
  333. 11:14want to know
  334. 11:15everyone to know that it was beautiful
  335. 11:16it was first
  336. 11:18mind over matter but then it became hard
  337. 11:20over mind and it became the most
  338. 11:22beautiful experience
  339. 11:23it was beautiful you mean the dying you
  340. 11:25mean you felt like you were dying and
  341. 11:28that's what you're referring to as
  342. 11:29beautiful
  343. 11:30yes it was beautiful did you have a
  344. 11:32religious experience are you a religious
  345. 11:34person
  346. 11:36um well i grew up in in the netherlands
  347. 11:39and it's it's
  348. 11:40nobody's actively religious but i did
  349. 11:42grow up with the
  350. 11:43catholic faith i would have faith but we
  351. 11:46we were not be not very religious but i
  352. 11:48i absolutely had a mystic experience
  353. 11:51absolutely and what was that can you
  354. 11:52tell us about the experience the mystic
  355. 11:54experience
  356. 11:56yeah so that is great so that is what i
  357. 11:58kept for for 20 years and that's what i
  358. 12:00kept also um inside so i then i really
  359. 12:03described at my best as i can in the
  360. 12:05book it's it's
  361. 12:06it i can just stay it was so beautiful
  362. 12:08it was everything
  363. 12:10was so beautiful and i really was one
  364. 12:12one with my environment and
  365. 12:14it was just so beautiful and and and
  366. 12:17then
  367. 12:18and then i i i saw of sun and this man
  368. 12:22on the other side on the other side of
  369. 12:23the ravine and he he was dressed in
  370. 12:25orange and
  371. 12:26he kept me he back to earth and that's
  372. 12:29the mystery that followed like was this
  373. 12:31mystery man in my life who saved my life
  374. 12:33and that's why i went back to vietnam
  375. 12:35um to see what really happened there
  376. 12:37okay was he a real man or was he a
  377. 12:39spirit
  378. 12:40who who is that that is the mystery in
  379. 12:42the book that i want you to find
  380. 12:43okay for many for many years
  381. 12:47everyone thought i made him up and i
  382. 12:48thought i made him up because it was not
  383. 12:50i was of course in a
  384. 12:51hurry to nation state without food and
  385. 12:53without that much water and my kidney
  386. 12:55had died in the meantime
  387. 12:57so i was of course and that's in another
  388. 12:59state of mind but i could always clearly
  389. 13:01describe that he was wearing
  390. 13:03plastic orange like know fish orange was
  391. 13:06a rain cave
  392. 13:07and um and so people thought he was
  393. 13:10there to watch me die
  394. 13:11it was someone with the government it
  395. 13:12was a buddhist monk so we always had
  396. 13:14been speculating
  397. 13:15and well i did find out when i went back
  398. 13:17to climb the mountain i crashed on that
  399. 13:19in fact i was real
  400. 13:21wow wow
  401. 13:24and uh your story does continue on it's
  402. 13:27not just about you surviving in the
  403. 13:29vietnam jungle but then you had the
  404. 13:32funeral to contend with and especially
  405. 13:36his mom because that was really hard for
  406. 13:39you also
  407. 13:41yeah then i became of course the moment
  408. 13:43i was found
  409. 13:44as then i joined the mourners and that's
  410. 13:46what people do i think mourners
  411. 13:48it's difficult it's just difficult it's
  412. 13:50awful to
  413. 13:51lose your child but that's the same if
  414. 13:53you fight if you
  415. 13:54fight it like it should not have
  416. 13:56happened then you go on a track and it
  417. 13:58becomes an enemy whereas indeed mourning
  418. 14:00could be a beautiful state of connection
  419. 14:02when it was not for us but it can't it
  420. 14:04can be
  421. 14:05because if it had felt unfortunate but
  422. 14:07also there were also like indeed
  423. 14:09um life is stranger than fiction because
  424. 14:11what happened also is that
  425. 14:13the bodies of the foreigners were mixed
  426. 14:15up so in fact we ended up
  427. 14:18burying in brit in holland and
  428. 14:21my fiancee was cremated in sweden
  429. 14:24so they mixed up the bodies it was all
  430. 14:26very very painful
  431. 14:28oh wow so i want to reach out also to
  432. 14:30the families of course of 370. it is i
  433. 14:33know
  434. 14:33from from them and from the other
  435. 14:35families how awful it is
  436. 14:37not to know where your beloved one is
  437. 14:39and then that i'm just
  438. 14:40guessing i don't i don't know if you
  439. 14:42want to respond to this but you must
  440. 14:43have been
  441. 14:44in new york on september 11 2001 and and
  442. 14:46this must have
  443. 14:49the experience that you had in vietnam
  444. 14:51must have played a role in your reaction
  445. 14:53to the attacks on september 11th
  446. 14:56yes that was again that was for me an
  447. 14:59amazing connection to others because now
  448. 15:02i was in a situation that i could see
  449. 15:04how pain does connect
  450. 15:06and i wanted to so desperate to help and
  451. 15:08that it's it as a european i always
  452. 15:10admire
  453. 15:11how americans can organize themselves
  454. 15:13and really help
  455. 15:14and i i really love to be a part of that
  456. 15:17but you were
  457. 15:18were you in were you in new york that
  458. 15:20day were you on wall street
  459. 15:21in new york the time i knew at the time
  460. 15:23and and it was amazing and i volunteered
  461. 15:26to translate and it was it was just it
  462. 15:29it was a horrifying experience yeah my
  463. 15:31daughter was my daughter was
  464. 15:33three years old my son was one and um
  465. 15:36we walked downtown there was this
  466. 15:38horrible clown
  467. 15:43one beautiful aspect to that and that's
  468. 15:45what i say the duality of life there is
  469. 15:47always beauty and the connection of new
  470. 15:49yorkers that day and everyone was in new
  471. 15:51york the whole world was a new yorker
  472. 15:53and that's what i also tried to try to
  473. 15:55say to to
  474. 15:56to mourners in general the beauty is in
  475. 15:58the connection to each other
  476. 16:00and that's actually the part two of my
  477. 16:02books that in my part one i connected to
  478. 16:04god to the universe
  479. 16:06but part two i i just use that
  480. 16:08experience yes
  481. 16:09to apply for my life but i think we're
  482. 16:11here to to connect to one another and
  483. 16:14september 11 is a beautiful example how
  484. 16:16one can do that
  485. 16:17uh you really uh demonstrate that
  486. 16:20connection also when you talk
  487. 16:22about maxie and about taking him to his
  488. 16:24special needs indoor
  489. 16:26soccer yeah thank you
  490. 16:30yes that is that is yeah that is indeed
  491. 16:33the difference because i have a typical
  492. 16:34child
  493. 16:35and they're the typical rivalries
  494. 16:36between mothers and children
  495. 16:38and then i have the disabled child where
  496. 16:41again the disability itself
  497. 16:43instantly connects you with the other
  498. 16:44parents
  499. 16:46which is also a gift so there are many
  500. 16:48gifts that come
  501. 16:49i think i think there's always duality
  502. 16:52in every
  503. 16:52situation and if you accept the
  504. 16:54situation you can
  505. 16:55accept both and just shift your
  506. 16:57attention to to the beauty you know you
  507. 16:59picked up
  508. 17:00you picked a a perfect title for the
  509. 17:03book because
  510. 17:04on first glance it looks like the word
  511. 17:06turbulence is referring to
  512. 17:08the plane the the first story but you
  513. 17:11truly are looking at this very
  514. 17:12philosophically
  515. 17:13and and applying that same turbulence
  516. 17:17to so many other things and that's what
  517. 17:20makes the book
  518. 17:21not only a story about somebody else but
  519. 17:23a story about ourselves
  520. 17:26yes that's what i hope to do it's that's
  521. 17:29what i in the end say the story is not
  522. 17:30about me it's about everyone else in
  523. 17:32that story that's why i also give all
  524. 17:34the perspectives
  525. 17:34i'm happy you read it thank you thank
  526. 17:36you that's the perspective from
  527. 17:39from the other side i really also did
  528. 17:41jack the father of the brit my mother
  529. 17:43i i interviewed them and i put them in
  530. 17:45there because it was fascinating to me
  531. 17:48how different we all looked at the same
  532. 17:50event
  533. 17:51so you went back just to get back to the
  534. 17:53story you went back to the mountain
  535. 17:55in i can't remember the year it was was
  536. 17:57it 2006
  537. 17:59yes all right and and
  538. 18:02how was that tell us what that was like
  539. 18:04i mean did you did you
  540. 18:05were you driven to the to the spot did
  541. 18:08you walk to the spot how did you get
  542. 18:09there
  543. 18:11uh no we had to climb it was 12 hours
  544. 18:13really breaking his sweat and just
  545. 18:15really steep and and i'm not
  546. 18:16i'm not an exercise all that much so i
  547. 18:18had to get fit it was it
  548. 18:19it it's very um um symbolic i
  549. 18:23now i go back as a middle-aged person
  550. 18:26to indeed to this mountain where at the
  551. 18:28time i did the right things very
  552. 18:29instinctively as a young person and so i
  553. 18:31had to
  554. 18:32overcome really fears to go back there
  555. 18:34and leave the flight itself
  556. 18:36and i did and and um it was again it was
  557. 18:39beautiful because of the
  558. 18:40i went half of my original crew went up
  559. 18:43with me on the mountain
  560. 18:44and they told me indeed where i where
  561. 18:46they kept overnight at the time and and
  562. 18:49how they found me
  563. 18:50and and then indeed the mystery of the
  564. 18:52orange man was revealed right there and
  565. 18:54then when after after
  566. 18:56six hours of climbing in the sweat and
  567. 18:58having having uh
  568. 18:59having lunch up there it was beautiful
  569. 19:02to connect this was beautiful to connect
  570. 19:04they thought i had died everyone thought
  571. 19:05i had died in vietnam
  572. 19:07and my book is now translated in
  573. 19:08vietnamese and i get it
  574. 19:10on facebook at the time so it was for
  575. 19:12them they were they
  576. 19:13and in their religion it's really
  577. 19:15important to save one person's life
  578. 19:17and here i am having two children that
  579. 19:19was that was beautiful
  580. 19:21it's also beautiful and some of the
  581. 19:23other uh survivors of some of the other
  582. 19:25casualties
  583. 19:26um also went back is that right
  584. 19:30yeah that was jack and i bought in his
  585. 19:32footsteps because he was
  586. 19:33um it was that's unfortunately an
  587. 19:35example of somebody who did not accept
  588. 19:38um
  589. 19:39um exactly what happened at all and he
  590. 19:42went back and that was great and found
  591. 19:44out what happened but he never quite got
  592. 19:45over
  593. 19:46the the loss of his son and and because
  594. 19:48he doesn't know what happened we still
  595. 19:49don't know what exactly what happened
  596. 19:51and
  597. 19:52he and he became friendly and he's now
  598. 19:54in london he's still in the uk
  599. 19:56he's he's elderly i know he's reading my
  600. 19:58book
  601. 19:59i've been cosplaying with his
  602. 20:00granddaughter and we might have actually
  603. 20:02a memorial service
  604. 20:03of up on the mountain so many vietnam is
  605. 20:06planning that
  606. 20:07but he he did not he was the one who
  607. 20:09opened the coffin in the first place
  608. 20:11because he had suspected foul play
  609. 20:13and he always suspected foul play and
  610. 20:15perhaps there was foul play but
  611. 20:17at some point i guess you have to accept
  612. 20:21to live your life and uh yeah and
  613. 20:24yeah just like the plane that went down
  614. 20:26the malaysian airlines right
  615. 20:27we may never know you may never know
  616. 20:30which i know
  617. 20:31from from the artifact it's awful to
  618. 20:33know i i like to connect immediately
  619. 20:35also with the other
  620. 20:36other family members in europe and and i
  621. 20:39called the embassy because it was on
  622. 20:40facebook and i spoke to the mother
  623. 20:42the wife of the swedish man who traveled
  624. 20:46in the plane and she said every night
  625. 20:47she started crying every night she went
  626. 20:49to sleep wondering what she felt when
  627. 20:51the plane went down
  628. 20:52and i said well i can assure you it was
  629. 20:55very short and there was no george ford
  630. 20:56it was it was very fast
  631. 20:58and she was so happy that she that she
  632. 21:01made all the difference
  633. 21:02for her later um she returned the favor
  634. 21:04to me because he actually had buried my
  635. 21:06fiance it was awkward but the tragedy of
  636. 21:09errors
  637. 21:10wow uh if you're just tuning in and you
  638. 21:13have
  639. 21:14become spellbound by our guest she is
  640. 21:16annette
  641. 21:17annette hefkens and i hope i did your
  642. 21:19name right there
  643. 21:20uh the book is called turbulence a
  644. 21:22survival story just
  645. 21:23to recap annette is the sole survivor of
  646. 21:26an airplane crash in the vietnamese
  647. 21:28jungle
  648. 21:28she tells that story beautifully and and
  649. 21:31and
  650. 21:32you don't want to stop listening or in
  651. 21:34this case reading
  652. 21:35um and and there's also some bigger
  653. 21:38bigger thing here you're a very
  654. 21:39philosophical
  655. 21:41person i i think think maybe more
  656. 21:43religious than you're letting on or at
  657. 21:45least more spiritual
  658. 21:46than you're letting on um you clearly
  659. 21:50have a grasp of what
  660. 21:51needs to be grasped at any given time in
  661. 21:54your life
  662. 21:56yes no i'm guided by some i die i'm
  663. 21:59guided by
  664. 21:59by by gold i'm guided by these by
  665. 22:02something bigger than me
  666. 22:03it's just that i for the moment you
  667. 22:04start actually
  668. 22:06trying to get an image of god people
  669. 22:08fight about it and you know i just okay
  670. 22:16inside me i think that is the voice of
  671. 22:17god you are a beautiful lady by the way
  672. 22:20i'm not taking credit at all for for my
  673. 22:22survival nor the way i
  674. 22:23i was just i was just open to it it's
  675. 22:26just a matter of being open and as soon
  676. 22:27as your mind closes up
  677. 22:29you get scenarios and they're not true
  678. 22:31in your head you make scenarios that are
  679. 22:33just not true
  680. 22:34and so it might as well not make
  681. 22:36scenarios in your head that's what i
  682. 22:37learned
  683. 22:38but you also bring to light all of the
  684. 22:41um
  685. 22:42normal things that people have to go
  686. 22:45through
  687. 22:45like relationships wondering if it's
  688. 22:48gonna last
  689. 22:49wondering if um you can you you could
  690. 22:52have done something else
  691. 22:53if it if it doesn't you really give hope
  692. 22:56to
  693. 22:56the regular person because everything
  694. 22:59you speak about
  695. 23:00just comes from your heart and
  696. 23:02everything from the heart is truly
  697. 23:04within reach of everybody
  698. 23:07yes i think that's what i thank you so
  699. 23:08much that that's exactly what i believe
  700. 23:10thank you so much so do you do you still
  701. 23:14carry with you some
  702. 23:15uh pain are your kidneys working
  703. 23:18i have one but apparently i can i have
  704. 23:21still many years to go won't get me fine
  705. 23:22i just should not
  706. 23:23pick up kickboxing or something
  707. 23:28and apparently my face is slightly
  708. 23:30deformed people say but i really never
  709. 23:32let me see wait a minute no you're
  710. 23:34beautiful you're a beautiful lady what
  711. 23:36are you talking about
  712. 23:37i'm looking at your photo my sister says
  713. 23:40and people say it's
  714. 23:40slightly different than it used to be
  715. 23:43and uh but but other than
  716. 23:45yeah no i'm i'm hey my face is slightly
  717. 23:48different than it used to be
  718. 23:49and i i didn't i didn't crash into a
  719. 23:52mountain yeah
  720. 23:53that's a good point that's a good point
  721. 23:58it's not slightly either it's like a lot
  722. 23:59different than i used to uh
