4. 0:0623-year-old Angela Hernandez spent 7
5. 0:09days with no food fighting through a
6. 0:10brain hemorrhage, broken bones, and
7. 0:12dehydration. Trevor Alt joins us with
8. 0:14new details of this remarkable almost
9. 0:17miracle rescue, Trevor.
10. 0:18Yeah, absolutely, Jeff. When we first
11. 0:20told you last Monday that Angela
12. 0:21Hernandez was reported missing, things
13. 0:23already looked bleak. Search team said
14. 0:25there were no signs she crashed her
15. 0:27Jeep. Her family said they suspected
16. 0:29foul play. Well, it turned out the
17. 0:30entire time Angela was on the beach near
18. 0:33Big Sur waiting for a miracle.
19. 0:37She's very, very lucky, I tell you.
20. 0:39Angela Hernandez was pushed to the
21. 0:41brink. The morning of Friday, July 6th,
22. 0:43her car careened over the cliffside off
23. 0:46Highway 1 near Big Sur. It would be 7
24. 0:48days before she would see or hear from
25. 0:51another person. We saw a bumper first
26. 0:53and we were like, "Huh, there's a
27. 0:55bumper. That's weird." Chelsea and Chad
28. 0:57Moore weren't even aware people were
29. 0:59searching for Angela until they stumbled
30. 1:01upon her destroyed Jeep on the beach
31. 1:03below. A mile south of that, they found
32. 1:06her. Angela was right there in the
33. 1:07rocks. Just
34. 1:10looked like hell. For a full week,
35. 1:12Angela had battled through a brain
36. 1:14hemorrhage, several broken bones, and a
37. 1:16collapsed lung. In a Facebook post, she
38. 1:18said she woke up in her Jeep with water
39. 1:20up to her knees. She broke out the
40. 1:22window and crawled to the beach before
41. 1:24passing out, then spent the week pacing
42. 1:27the coast screaming for help. Angela is
43. 1:29one amazing fighter and I am very
44. 1:32impressed with her survival skills.

46. 1:35said Angela used the radiator hose from
47. 1:38her Jeep to collect water from a natural
48. 1:40spring dripping on the cliff. After Chad
49. 1:42and Chelsea found her, emergency crews
50. 1:44placed Angela in a stretcher and lifted
51. 1:46her to safety up the cliffside. And for
52. 1:48her to survive for 7 days
53. 1:52on the coast with waves crashing over
54. 1:54you at times with injuries that she had
55. 1:57is amazing.
56. 2:00Well, over the weekend, Angela also
57. 2:01reconnected on Instagram with Chelsea
58. 2:03Moore, the woman who found her, and she
59. 2:05wrote, "I will be thankful for you and
60. 2:06your husband every single day for the
61. 2:09rest of my life. Back to you." Yeah.
