- 0:07so we're running out of time but then
- 0:09this is kind of a serious topic but here
- 0:11there is something I want to say about
- 0:12the the gun debate uh one of the ideas
- 0:16that keeps popping up under all the
- 0:18hysteria about guns and the fight of the
- 0:20NRA and all this nonsense that really
- 0:22has nothing to do with what happened is
- 0:23how many of these shooters are
- 0:25fatherless kids a lot of them are
- 0:27fatherless kids and it's not obviously
- 0:29just a mass Shooters but uh Peter Hassan
- 0:32of Campus reform we had one of their
- 0:34spokes ladies on uh but he wrote an
- 0:37article a few years back where he says
- 0:39you know there's a direct correlation
- 0:41between fatherless children and teen
- 0:43violence fatherless children are more
- 0:45than twice as likely to commit suicide
- 0:46dropping out of school 71 percent of
- 0:49high school dropouts came from a
- 0:50fatherless background according to the
- 0:52U.S Department of Health and Human
- 0:53Services fatherless children are at a
- 0:55dramatically greater risk of drug and
- 0:57alcohol use to the strongest
- 0:58correlations with gun homicides are
- 1:00growing up in a fatherless household and
- 1:02dropping out of school which itself is
- 1:04directly related to the lack of an
- 1:05active and present father and you know
- 1:07I've been in prisons because for my
- 1:09novels or sometimes of a prison scene a
- 1:11vow each time I do it I vow never to do
- 1:14it again because going to prison even
- 1:16visiting it for research is one of the
- 1:18most depressing experiences you will
- 1:19ever have in your entire life when the
- 1:21door closes behind you you think the
- 1:23first time I went into a prison I turned
- 1:24to the guard and I said remind me never
- 1:26to commit a crime you know because it's
- 1:28like you do not want to go to prison but
- 1:29when you go through you know what you
- 1:31see I mean maybe if you were left is
- 1:33what you would see is oh this person is
- 1:34is dark-skinned or something like that
- 1:36what I saw each each cell every single
- 1:39cell fatherless fatherless fatherless
- 1:40one of the things we don't talk about
- 1:42about a fatherless household
- 1:45and and this is another reason I dislike
- 1:47feminism so much is that one of the
- 1:50things a father does not only does he
- 1:51serve as a probably a stronger
- 1:53disciplinarian than the mother not in
- 1:55every household but many households also
- 1:57serves as a role model of how to be a
- 1:59faithful uh husband how to deal with
- 2:01women who are tremendous pain in the
- 2:03neck as you know and how to deal with
- 2:05them without uh you know violence or
- 2:06cruelty how to deal with respect for
- 2:08their mothers how to walk like a man in
- 2:11the world and that those are all things
- 2:12that boys learn directly from the father
- 2:14but the other thing we don't talk about
- 2:15is that having a father in the home
- 2:17allows a mother to be a mother I mean
- 2:18when people pay tribute to their single
- 2:21mothers because they did a good job they
- 2:22always say well she was a mother and a
- 2:23father to me she fulfilled both the
- 2:25mother and the father role but that is
- 2:26not optimal what you want is a mother
- 2:28who can be feminine who can pay more
- 2:31attention to the home and this is one of
- 2:32the things I hate so much about
- 2:35um feminism is that it despises
- 2:37femininity you know when when people say
- 2:39well there's no difference between a man
- 2:40and a woman which is just a patent lie
- 2:42conservatives get so upset and they say
- 2:44well here's the sign science and the
- 2:46science says this but what they never
- 2:47say is why would you even want that to
- 2:49be true femininity is a good masculinity
- 2:53is a good obviously like everything in
- 2:56life there are bad sides to femininity
- 2:57and obviously there are bad sites to
- 3:00masculinity but these are good things
- 3:02positive Godly gifts that each of us is
- 3:05assigned to embody in our gender you
- 3:07know in in that that they're yes or
- 3:09they're men with lots of feminine traits
- 3:11sure are there women with masculine
- 3:12traits sure but we're talking about
- 3:13generalities here in generalities women
- 3:16are much better at being women than they
- 3:18are being men and men are much better at
- 3:20being men than they are at being women
- 3:22and that's a good thing and so when you
- 3:24have a father in the home what you have
- 3:26as a mother and I I think like nobody
- 3:29ever looks at this is how much of a
- 3:31correlation there is with women who
- 3:33aren't home who don't pay attention to
- 3:34their kids who aren't a constant
- 3:36presence in that I think this is
- 3:37something little children need they need
- 3:39moms they need moms that's not a stigma
- 3:42that's not a habit that's not an opinion
- 3:43it's the truth it is simply the way
- 3:46people were built I mean you know all
- 3:48these people who are so scientific they
- 3:50believe in evolution what do you how do
- 3:52you think we were revolved what do you
- 3:53think we were evolved to do to recreate
- 3:55and survive and how do we do that we
- 3:57have mothers taking care of little
- 3:58children we have fathers taking care of
- 4:01mothers so that mothers can take care of
- 4:03little children that is the way the
- 4:04system works so one of the worst things
- 4:06about fatherless homes is that it
- 4:08deprives the woman of a chance to do
- 4:10what women most women so love doing
- 4:12which is building a home and taking care
- 4:15of children and the The feminists Who
- 4:18despise femininity because it doesn't
- 4:20necessarily uh get the big jobs uh
- 4:24femininity maybe doesn't lead you to be
- 4:26as driven in the workplace you know they
- 4:28keep talking these strong strong women I
- 4:30want strong if I wanted to marry strong
- 4:32I would have married Arnold
- 4:33Schwarzenegger that's not what I needed
- 4:35in my life that's not what I needed to
- 4:37make me a better person that's not what
- 4:39I needed to make my home a good home for
- 4:41children to live in I needed someone who
- 4:42was a little less strong I needed
- 4:44somebody who was a little more emotional
- 4:45a little more attached to people less
- 4:47attached to things a little less
- 4:48attached to work more attached to
- 4:50relationships those are the things that
- 4:52make a home and that what the Catholics
- 4:54call complementarity the fact that when
- 4:56men and women go together and form a
- 4:58whole is something that the feminists
- 5:00oppose uh tooth and nail because all
- 5:02they think about is materialism because
- 5:04they're marxists they think about money
- 5:05and success and all the things that
- 5:07women have
- 5:08traditionally said not as important as
- 5:11what I'm doing and all those women those
