- 0:12alright Ninja nerds to give you guys another view of the brain
- 0:14of some of the internal structures
- 0:17so first off if you remember from before
- 0:20we had this central sulcus here on the side
- 0:23and this little groove right here
- 0:25this little groove
- 0:28running right there
- 0:29this guy right there is actually called the
- 0:32central sulcus, so again the central sulcus is this little like groove
- 0:35right here running all the way up right there
- 0:37and what's the purpose of it?
- 0:38the central sulcus seperates the frontal lobe from the parietal lobe
- 0:41so if i come up the central sulcus one more time
- 0:44if i go right in front of the sulcus to this gyrus right there
- 0:47cos remember a sulcus is like this divid)?)
- 0:50and then a gyrus is this big fat lumpy thing right there
- 0:53this gyrus in front of the central sulcus is called the
- 0:56precentral gyrus
- 0:58it's also where the primary motor cortex is.
- 1:01and if i follow the central sulcus back up again
- 1:03and i go to this fat gyrus that's right behind it
- 1:06that guy right there is called the post central gyrus
- 1:09and that's where the primary somatosensory cortex is
- 1:12aight
- 1:14if i were to in front of the primary motor
