  1. 0:00hey folks welcome back to the channel
  2. 0:01I've had a couple of you ask me recently
  3. 0:03about my process getting things sent to
  4. 0:05Amazon so today I'm going to take you
  5. 0:06through the process of setting up a
  6. 0:07Seller Central account getting an item
  7. 0:09listed on Amazon and then we're going to
  8. 0:11send some product in to the FBA
  9. 0:13warehouse for Amazon distribution if
  10. 0:15you're interested in learning Amazon
  11. 0:16Seller Central stick around and enjoy
  12. 0:18today's
  13. 0:20video all right so there's a couple ways
  14. 0:22to get started with selling on Amazon
  15. 0:25what I like to do though just to be sure
  16. 0:27I am signing up for the individual plan
  17. 0:29is just scroll down to this link here
  18. 0:31sell products on Amazon and this will
  19. 0:34lay out for you basically the steps to
  20. 0:36get started selling on Amazon so they
  21. 0:38sell two different selling plans to let
  22. 0:40you choose the right package the
  23. 0:41individual selling plan which I
  24. 0:43recommend everybody starts out on is 9
  25. 0:45cents per sale so you sign up you get
  26. 0:47familiar with the Amazon Seller Central
  27. 0:49backend you can familiarize yourself
  28. 0:51with how to set up listings in Amazon
  29. 0:53before you commit to that uh $39.99 a
  30. 0:56month when you are creating your Amazon
  31. 0:58seller account you'll need all of your
  32. 1:00tax information and bank account
  33. 1:02information stuff like that and then you
  34. 1:04are able to start setting up your
  35. 1:06products so we are going to click uh
  36. 1:08pick our selling plan so the individual
  37. 1:10selling plan gives you access to these
  38. 1:12top seven items here basically
  39. 1:14everything you'll need to start selling
  40. 1:15on Amazon you can do under this
  41. 1:17individual plan with an individual
  42. 1:19account you also have access to Amazon
  43. 1:21FBA which is what we're going to be
  44. 1:22doing today and if we click on this you
  45. 1:25can see what FBA exactly is Amazon FBA
  46. 1:29is essentially your ability to send your
  47. 1:31products in bulk to Amazon and then when
  48. 1:33an order gets placed Amazon will fulfill
  49. 1:35that for you so anytime you're shopping
  50. 1:37on Amazon and see a product that is uh
  51. 1:40you know one or two day Prime shipping
  52. 1:42that is an Amazon FBA product you'll set
  53. 1:44up FBA after you set up your Amazon
  54. 1:47seller account so we will go back and
  55. 1:49click sign up for individual and you're
  56. 1:51either going to need a Amazon account
  57. 1:53that you already have which is fine to
  58. 1:55use the one you are currently using if
  59. 1:57you're business I recommend creating a
  60. 1:58new account so I've gone ahead and
  61. 2:00created a dummy email uh to just to
  62. 2:03create this account today so we're just
  63. 2:04going to put 3D
  64. 2:06printing and it's going to send us a
  65. 2:08onetime password and this is going to
  66. 2:10require you to set up two-step
  67. 2:12verification so to do that you'll have
  68. 2:14to enter your mobile phone number all
  69. 2:17right and once you verify your phone
  70. 2:18number you are now registered for Amazon
  71. 2:21selling we'll hit get started and now
  72. 2:23it's going to ask a bunch of information
  73. 2:25as far as your business or personal
  74. 2:27information so if you have a business uh
  75. 2:29where is your business registered if you
  76. 2:31don't have a business you're still going
  77. 2:32to put your country of residence so we
  78. 2:35are in the United States we are an
  79. 2:37individual so we'll fill out all of our
  80. 2:39uh information here and this is the part
  81. 2:41where I'm going to stop with the uh
  82. 2:43setup of your Amazon account because I
  83. 2:45already have one and I don't really need
  84. 2:46to enter all this stuff in to create a
  85. 2:48new dummy account Amazon will guide you
  86. 2:50through this process of creating your
  87. 2:53account from this step forward and we
  88. 2:55will see you on the other side once you
  89. 2:57are into Amazon Seller Central once you
  90. 2:59get inside of Amazon Seller Central
  91. 3:01coming up to the top leftand Corner this
  92. 3:02is your menu button basically this is
  93. 3:04where you're going to find everything
  94. 3:06Amazon that you need to know and under
  95. 3:08your inventory tab is where all of your
  96. 3:10fulfillment by Amazon is going to be
  97. 3:12located so for new Amazon sellers you're
  98. 3:15going to have to come up to here and set
  99. 3:16up your Amazon FBA again that's pretty
  100. 3:19straightforward it's really just the
  101. 3:20click of a couple buttons and then you
  102. 3:22will be into your Amazon dashboard once
  103. 3:25Amazon FBA has been set up assuming you
  104. 3:28did everything correct you should see
  105. 3:30something similar to this what we're
  106. 3:32really interested in today is our
  107. 3:34inventory tab so if you click on those
  108. 3:36three buttons at the top left and go
  109. 3:37down to inventory you can just go to
  110. 3:39manage all
  111. 3:40inventory add a product and from this
  112. 3:43point is where you're going to choose
  113. 3:45what it is you have to sell in my case
  114. 3:47today we're going to do the fingerprint
  115. 3:49coasters like I mentioned in the last
  116. 3:50video so we're just going to put
  117. 3:52fingerprint coaster search and Amazon's
  118. 3:55going to search through their entire
  119. 3:57database to see if there's anything
  120. 3:58similar to what you are trying to list
  121. 4:01and if you don't see one you can hit
  122. 4:02create a new listing so Amazon does have
  123. 4:05sort of an AI generative title generator
  124. 4:08so essentially you can put uh short
  125. 4:10description with an image or both so
  126. 4:12fingerprint coaster 3D printed 4 in
  127. 4:16diameter and we'll see what it comes up
  128. 4:19with generally speaking I don't rely on
  129. 4:22this but it is pretty good for finding
  130. 4:24the right category anyway I do like to
  131. 4:27see if there's anything more that we can
  132. 4:29category oriz it in is it's not
  133. 4:31necessarily um for sports so let's see
  134. 4:35decorative accents coasters din
  135. 4:37entertainment bar and drink wear
  136. 4:39accessories bar tools coasters so you
  137. 4:41could choose either one of these I'm
  138. 4:43going to go under this category here cuz
  139. 4:46these aren't sports related really so I
  140. 4:48would more so put them into the home
  141. 4:50decorative category and as for our title
  142. 4:53I like to use uh chat GPT for this
  143. 4:55because this isn't really I mean it
  144. 4:58describes what it is right but it's not
  145. 5:00perfect so inside of chat GPT this is
  146. 5:03the paid version it's about $20 per
  147. 5:05month the free version will do the same
  148. 5:07thing for you though generally speaking
  149. 5:10so we know we have a fingerprint coaster
  150. 5:11so I'm just going to tell it I need a
  151. 5:14title for my Amazon listing so you can
  152. 5:17kind of categorize it you can go through
  153. 5:19this little text dialogue with the AI
  154. 5:22assistant here you see we started off
  155. 5:24with I need a title for my Amazon
  156. 5:25listing it is a 3D printed coaster in
  157. 5:27the design of a fingerprint it pops
  158. 5:29something out that I wasn't really
  159. 5:31thrilled about so I just keep giving it
  160. 5:32a few more prompts a lot of times if you
  161. 5:34come into chat GPT and you tell it what
  162. 5:37it needs to do for instance like you're
  163. 5:39an assistant for an Amazon business I
  164. 5:42need you to be well-versed in Amazon FBA
  165. 5:45marketing SEO stuff like that you can
  166. 5:48kind of tell chat GPT what it is you're
  167. 5:50looking to get out of it so I've kind of
  168. 5:52already done that that's why I'm able to
  169. 5:54come in here and just give it some basic
  170. 5:56prompts and I'm not saying any of these
  171. 5:59titles are are the right ones either
  172. 6:00this is more to just show you the actual
  173. 6:02process in creating and sending listings
  174. 6:04to Amazon so you can look through here
  175. 6:06pick the one that fits your needs the
  176. 6:08best and then we can move on to the next
  177. 6:10step all right and so we're just going
  178. 6:12to use this title for now if your
  179. 6:15product has any variations you'll want
  180. 6:17to click this for this particular case
  181. 6:20we're only going to have one size if
  182. 6:22you're selling a product that is for
  183. 6:24instance Sony LG Apple you'll have to
  184. 6:27list a brand name for my
  185. 6:30I am not registered as a brand so we're
  186. 6:32going to click this product does not
  187. 6:33have a brand name if you have a UPC from
  188. 6:36brand names like Sony Apple Etc or you
  189. 6:39are a brand of yourself and have
  190. 6:41registered to get your own upcs this is
  191. 6:44where you would enter that now I have
  192. 6:46registered for a product exemption so
  193. 6:48you can click I don't have a product ID
  194. 6:50again it's been a little while for me
  195. 6:52but if my memory serves me correct the
  196. 6:54first time you do that product exemption
  197. 6:56where you click both of these it'll have
  198. 6:57you fill out uh basically why it's a
  199. 6:59product exemption stuff like that we'll
  200. 7:02go on to description next and this is
  201. 7:05where you're going to put in your
  202. 7:06description you can use your brain for
  203. 7:08this or you can use chat GPT to type in
  204. 7:10a description and give you some of the
  205. 7:13bullet points here basically Amazon has
  206. 7:15some pretty strict product guidelines as
  207. 7:18far as their images go and you can click
  208. 7:21into this product images Style
  209. 7:23Guidelines and kind of read up on these
  210. 7:26on your own basically you're not allowed
  211. 7:28to have any text they require a white
  212. 7:31background on the main product image
  213. 7:34anyways and they don't want anything
  214. 7:35like five star reviews Amazon logos and
  215. 7:38things like that so I'm going to show
  216. 7:40you how we can take some photos of these
  217. 7:41fingerprint coasters using your phone
  218. 7:43and then we can upload them into photo
  219. 7:45room to get our white background so you
  220. 7:48can essentially take out your phone and
  221. 7:49open up the camera app and I've just set
  222. 7:51up this little copy cup here as an
  223. 7:53example but you can take your coaster
  224. 7:55we're going to get a couple different
  225. 7:56pictures let's get a nice soft light
  226. 7:57coming from that side so basically just
  227. 8:00got this light here it's like $49 on
  228. 8:02Amazon got this set up on its lowest
  229. 8:05setting you can see the difference
  230. 8:06between off and on so I do recommend
  231. 8:09getting some sort of artificial light to
  232. 8:12shine in on your photo so we've got our
  233. 8:13cup here we're going to take a couple
  234. 8:15different photos from a couple different
  235. 8:16angles I'm going to turn the phone to
  236. 8:17the side we can just start snapping some
  237. 8:21photos now what we're really selling is
  238. 8:23the coaster not the cup so we can come
  239. 8:25in here and get a couple photos of the
  240. 8:28coaster from different Ang Les let's get
  241. 8:30a top
  242. 8:31down and then let's get a couple more
  243. 8:33brought in here I take a couple
  244. 8:35different photos that way afterwards I'm
  245. 8:37able to see how they come out really
  246. 8:39just personal preference I do like to
  247. 8:41think about how they are going to look
  248. 8:43though when somebody gets it all right
  249. 8:45so we've got enough photos here we can
  250. 8:47get back into the computer and we're
  251. 8:49going to go into photo room now and get
  252. 8:51these photos edited all right so inside
  253. 8:53of photo room you can click select a
  254. 8:54photo and we're just going to
  255. 8:56import all of the photos that we had
  256. 8:59before this is called the batch edit
  257. 9:01what it's going to do as soon as you
  258. 9:03start uploading the photos is removing
  259. 9:05the background that's something photo
  260. 9:07room does just right off the bat and you
  261. 9:09can put the background back if you want
  262. 9:11to but we we do not need to do that then
  263. 9:14what I like to do is scan through the
  264. 9:16ones that are similar and kind of pick
  265. 9:17out which one looks the best so in
  266. 9:20Amazon you can have up to nine images so
  267. 9:23you don't have to delete all of them I
  268. 9:25would recommend a couple of them be like
  269. 9:27functional use cases I like to put
  270. 9:30measurements in some of the images as
  271. 9:31well so a top down image like this is
  272. 9:34kind of perfect for that we can put a
  273. 9:36bar across saying this is 4 in all right
  274. 9:38so I've narrowed it down to seven photos
  275. 9:41here and now that I have these I'm just
  276. 9:44going to click Shadow soft and it's
  277. 9:47going to give each of them kind of a
  278. 9:48professional looking soft Shadow
  279. 9:50appearance not all of them are going to
  280. 9:52be perfect images such as this they're
  281. 9:55kind of hovering there in the middle of
  282. 9:57nothing but you can see something like
  283. 9:58this kind looks really really nice with
  284. 10:01the Shadow on it you can play around
  285. 10:03with different types of Shadows to see
  286. 10:05which one fits you needs a little bit
  287. 10:07better I prefer the soft Shadow for most
  288. 10:09things and I'm just going to straight uh
  289. 10:12click in here and we can turn a light on
  290. 10:15and off kind of brightens it up a little
  291. 10:18bit then we can go into adjust you can
  292. 10:21manually uh brighten things adjust the
  293. 10:24contrast tune things how you want just
  294. 10:26to get the most accurate looking uh
  295. 10:28picture you get get the idea though so
  296. 10:30you can come in play around with your
  297. 10:31images get them how you want them to
  298. 10:34look and when you're ready to download
  299. 10:36hit download images so then you can come
  300. 10:39through and pick out the one that fits
  301. 10:40best for your Amazon listing I like ones
  302. 10:43that have like this or this feel like
  303. 10:46these are going to be the the best
  304. 10:47suited images to draw the viewers
  305. 10:49attention in but depending on your item
  306. 10:52that may differ and let's go back into
  307. 10:54Amazon we can upload our main image and
  308. 10:56like I said before I wanted that to be
  309. 10:59either this one or this one so I think
  310. 11:01we're going to go with that one all
  311. 11:04right then we can go on to choose some
  312. 11:06of our other listing photos so this will
  313. 11:08be our second photo and you can arrange
  314. 11:11these upload these in any manner you see
  315. 11:13fit all right so now you've got your
  316. 11:15photos listed there we can go to the
  317. 11:18product Details page and this is where
  318. 11:20you're going to enter things such as
  319. 11:22your manufacturer so in my case it's
  320. 11:24going to be generic keyword is going to
  321. 11:26be coaster material is plastic
  322. 11:29number of items four color is going to
  323. 11:33be black and white our item shape is
  324. 11:36round and you can choose your different
  325. 11:39settings there no it is not dishwasher
  326. 11:42safe four in here essentially the same
  327. 11:45thing is up there count type is going to
  328. 11:48be 4 count item thickness is going to be
  329. 11:51about quart of an inch we don't have a
  330. 11:54model number or a model name but we can
  331. 11:57call this one fingerprint code coaster
  332. 12:00and come up with a model
  333. 12:02number I just fingerprint coaster foret
  334. 12:05no
  335. 12:06customizations and length of the longer
  336. 12:08Edge four and four to offer I know it's
  337. 12:13tempting to come down here and hit
  338. 12:14submit that's not what we're going to do
  339. 12:16yet you want to keep scrolling through
  340. 12:18this top part up here this is where
  341. 12:20you're going to choose if you want
  342. 12:22Amazon to fulfill it or if you are going
  343. 12:24to ship it out yourself in our case I
  344. 12:26choose fulfill by Amazon for everything
  345. 12:29so then we can enter a price for a set
  346. 12:31of four uh you have to take into account
  347. 12:34you're going to have Amazon FBA fees
  348. 12:36they typically take depending on the
  349. 12:38item 20% or so but it can be more for
  350. 12:41stocking and distribution and all that
  351. 12:44stuff I typically like on the dumbbells
  352. 12:46I charge like $21.99 or $22.99 on Amazon
  353. 12:49and they take just under $10 in fees
  354. 12:52like
  355. 12:52$940 I think we'll list them at
  356. 12:55$24.99 some of you going to say that's
  357. 12:57ridiculous I kind of age with you but
  358. 13:00Amazon get got to get their cut so we're
  359. 13:02going to set it equal to our list price
  360. 13:05now these are your packaging Dimensions
  361. 13:07so for my coasters in a set of four they
  362. 13:10get wrapped up and then they can fit
  363. 13:12into one of those cellophane bags or
  364. 13:15into one of our 6x10 mailers I'm going
  365. 13:19to let Amazon ship these out I'm going
  366. 13:21to wrap them up myself in a cellophane
  367. 13:24bag 10 in Long by 6 in wide
  368. 13:29and with four coasters it'll probably be
  369. 13:31around an inch tall package weight this
  370. 13:34would be a good thing to throw onto a
  371. 13:37scale I know the coasters are going to
  372. 13:39be under an inch or rather under a pound
  373. 13:43so I will typically put around a half a
  374. 13:45pound for the four coasters and then
  375. 13:47safety and compliance we are in the
  376. 13:49United States there are no batteries not
  377. 13:52applicable for dangerous
  378. 13:55goods and that is also not applic
  379. 13:59it's going to load up here for a second
  380. 14:02we can go back through and check and
  381. 14:03make sure that everything looks good
  382. 14:06we've got our pictures product
  383. 14:08details our offer
  384. 14:11price safety and compliance and we can
  385. 14:13hit submit and now it's changing our
  386. 14:16fulfillment method from Merchant
  387. 14:17fulfilled to Amazon fulfilled you can
  388. 14:20see here Amazon has assigned us a skew
  389. 14:23number as well as an Asen number so
  390. 14:25we've got two options now we can list as
  391. 14:27FBA and send these products directly to
  392. 14:30Amazon or we can just list as FBA which
  393. 14:32is what I'm going to do and now we got
  394. 14:34to wait a few minutes so Amazon the way
  395. 14:36that they do it is they're creating this
  396. 14:38listing in their back end and it will
  397. 14:41populate inside of your all inventory
  398. 14:43tab when you go into inventory manage
  399. 14:44all inventory or if you go into here and
  400. 14:47FBA inventory FBA inventory essentially
  401. 14:50gives you the option to immediately
  402. 14:52click Send or edit your listings and see
  403. 14:54what you have available in the Amazon
  404. 14:56FBA Warehouse it takes about about 5 to
  405. 14:5910 minutes usually for the Amazon
  406. 15:01listing to populate we'll come back in
  407. 15:03when it is done and get these listings
  408. 15:04ready to send off to Amazon all right
  409. 15:06and it's been about 3 minutes actually
  410. 15:08so see we've refreshed our page here and
  411. 15:10now it shows out of stock for our set of
  412. 15:12four fingerprint coasters this is going
  413. 15:14to give us our breakdown on the right
  414. 15:16hand side over here of what Amazon
  415. 15:17charges for their FBA fulfillment fees
  416. 15:20that is for uh the professional plan if
  417. 15:22you're on the individual seller plan
  418. 15:24this will be 9 cents higher but you're
  419. 15:26not paying that $39.99 per month and if
  420. 15:29you click calculate Revenue this will be
  421. 15:30a breakdown of the referral fee which is
  422. 15:3515% that is Amazon's essentially
  423. 15:37Amazon's fee for having the item Amazon
  424. 15:41Fulfillment is for having the item
  425. 15:42inside of their fulfillment center you
  426. 15:45see if you chose to fulfill this item
  427. 15:47yourself and not fulfill it through
  428. 15:49Amazon FBA you'd save
  429. 15:51$3.90 that brings us to
  430. 15:54$82 cost per unit and that's of course
  431. 15:57without your actual price pring in there
  432. 16:00and if we click here we can see that it
  433. 16:01brings us right over to the listing on
  434. 16:04Amazon of course it's currently
  435. 16:05unavailable because we don't have
  436. 16:07anything in stock yet we have our photos
  437. 16:10here we can scroll through and we can go
  438. 16:12back in afterwards and update these
  439. 16:14photos make them a little bit better add
  440. 16:16some more information to them if we want
  441. 16:18to but for now this will do you can see
  442. 16:20all of our bullet points that we put in
  443. 16:22are now in about this item and some of
  444. 16:25the specifications that we gave it are
  445. 16:27up here if we scroll down L this is
  446. 16:29where the product description lies you
  447. 16:31can see the bullet points are going to
  448. 16:32be the most important things they are
  449. 16:34going to show right up on top so if we
  450. 16:36go back into Amazon and we go over to
  451. 16:39shipments and then I can go up again and
  452. 16:42send to Amazon we can print out our
  453. 16:44shipping labels for the individual items
  454. 16:47that we're selling new items you'll need
  455. 16:50to click this prep and labeling details
  456. 16:52and choose a category so this is sold as
  457. 16:55a set the item fragile depending on
  458. 16:58whether it is or it isn't you can use
  459. 17:00that so we can hit save we're going to
  460. 17:02prep the unit sold as a set and then
  461. 17:04when we hit print skew label we're going
  462. 17:06to choose one skew
  463. 17:09label and I'm using a thermal printer if
  464. 17:12you're using a standard piece of paper
  465. 17:14you can choose uh the different styles
  466. 17:17there but I'm just using a 1x 2 in so
  467. 17:20we're going to put in 25x 50 you can
  468. 17:23open up our label here it's just going
  469. 17:25to show new fingerprint coaster home
  470. 17:28office again for this I'm going to
  471. 17:30choose a 2 by one label right there I've
  472. 17:34got it set up to my barcode printer and
  473. 17:36I think I'm going to send 10 sets of
  474. 17:38these just to start off with and see how
  475. 17:40they do we going do 10 copies and print
  476. 17:44so then we can come back in and we're
  477. 17:46going to tell it what we're sending it
  478. 17:48and so we just said we're going to do 10
  479. 17:49and do 10 units and hit ready to pack
  480. 17:52and I'm also going to send 100 of these
  481. 17:56dumbbell business card holes ERS I've
  482. 18:00already printed out the skew labels for
  483. 18:02this let's hit ready to pack now we can
  484. 18:04get over to the bench and get everything
  485. 18:06packed up in the bags skewed up and we
  486. 18:09can come back over here when we're
  487. 18:10finished with that we're going to get
  488. 18:11these packaged up in sets of four right
  489. 18:14now and the bags that I'm going to use
  490. 18:17for
  491. 18:18them are just these little cellophane
  492. 18:20bags they're 5x seven I have a link down
  493. 18:23in the description below to the Amazon
  494. 18:25listing so you can pick some up for
  495. 18:27yourself and essentially we're just
  496. 18:29going to load them up into a bag Fold It
  497. 18:31Up in on
  498. 18:33itself so they're kind of you know
  499. 18:35protected into there and you can go
  500. 18:37about this one of two ways for something
  501. 18:40like this it's pretty simple and I've
  502. 18:42sent quite a few items just like this
  503. 18:44you can pull it
  504. 18:46off and slap the sticker right on it
  505. 18:49just like
  506. 18:50this and then this can go into your box
  507. 18:53Amazon will then put this in their own
  508. 18:55packaging when they receive it if
  509. 18:56somebody places an order for it to me
  510. 18:59this is the simplest most
  511. 19:01straightforward way of doing it the
  512. 19:03other option would be package it up
  513. 19:06yourself and get it ready to go just
  514. 19:08like this and then throw it inside of a
  515. 19:10bubble
  516. 19:11bag and then you can slap your sticker
  517. 19:13on the outside of the the bubble bag
  518. 19:16here so it really is entirely up to you
  519. 19:19which way you decide to go about doing
  520. 19:20this for these particular ones however I
  521. 19:23am just going to package them up in the
  522. 19:24cellophane bags and put the sticker on
  523. 19:26it this way it's less space to take up
  524. 19:29in the Amazon warehouse and Amazon's
  525. 19:31going to put it in their own packaging
  526. 19:33anyways I'm just going to get nine more
  527. 19:36sets of these packed up and ready to go
  528. 19:38out and we'll continue on with the rest
  529. 19:40of the dumbbells and get everything
  530. 19:41ready to go in a box then I'll show you
  531. 19:44how we can take the dimensions from that
  532. 19:45box and all the information that we've
  533. 19:47used and get our final labels ready to
  534. 19:50go to Amazon
  535. 20:01all right so for this shipment we're
  536. 20:02probably going to be looking at two of
  537. 20:04these boxes once I get all of the
  538. 20:06dumbbells into there but we'll see once
  539. 20:08we get them completed and packed up all
  540. 20:10right so I couldn't have planned this
  541. 20:11out more perfectly I've got all 100
  542. 20:13dumbbells packed into here each of them
  543. 20:15have their are FBA label on them and
  544. 20:18I've got our 10 packs of coasters packed
  545. 20:20into here as well we're going to get a
  546. 20:22measurement of this box we can get a
  547. 20:24weight of it and then we're going to go
  548. 20:25back into Amazon Seller Central and we
  549. 20:27can get everything and ready to go out
  550. 20:29to Amazon currently the scale that I
  551. 20:31normally use to weigh everything the
  552. 20:33screen is broken on it so what I'm going
  553. 20:35to do instead is get a weight of an
  554. 20:37individual unit and then I'll multiply
  555. 20:40that by how many units we have and we'll
  556. 20:41add a little bit of extra weight for the
  557. 20:43box and the way I'm going to do that is
  558. 20:44with one of these little tiny scales I
  559. 20:46got this for getting accurate
  560. 20:48measurements of epoxy when I was doing
  561. 20:50woodworking can see I've got a bunch of
  562. 20:51it stuck all over the screen here and on
  563. 20:54the scale itself anyway we are going to
  564. 20:56set it to ounces and we we can zero it
  565. 21:00off and we've got 2.6 o her dumbbell and
  566. 21:063 oz per pack of four and then we can
  567. 21:09just take a quick measurement of the
  568. 21:11length looks like 22 in our width is
  569. 21:14just over 18 in so I'm going to put 19
  570. 21:17in for that and then our height just
  571. 21:19over 12 so that'll be 13 so 22 by 19 by
  572. 21:2313 let's get all of the weights added up
  573. 21:26and we can get into Seller Central now
  574. 21:28and get all of this stuff rolling all
  575. 21:30right so back in Amazon Seller Central
  576. 21:32we've got our 100 units ready to go and
  577. 21:35we've got our 10 units of the
  578. 21:36fingerprint coasters ready to go as well
  579. 21:39so I'm going to hit pack individual
  580. 21:41units and it'll verify here that we have
  581. 21:43100 dumbbells and 10 of The Coasters
  582. 21:47everything fits into one box so we know
  583. 21:50our box was
  584. 21:5122 by 19 by 13 and our weight so we have
  585. 21:57100 of the dumbbells times 2.6 Oz each
  586. 22:00that's 260 Oz There are 16 o per pound
  587. 22:04so we'll take 260 / by 16 that gives us
  588. 22:0816 and a/4 PB so that's
  589. 22:1216.25 then we've also got 10 of the
  590. 22:14fingerprint coasters at 3 oz a piece
  591. 22:17divided by 16 oz per pound
  592. 22:211.875 and we'll take
  593. 22:231.875 and add
  594. 22:2616.25 that's 18 and 1/8 lb just to round
  595. 22:30it up and call it even we're going to
  596. 22:32make this box
  597. 22:3419B of course there's easier ways of
  598. 22:36doing this you can get a pretty good
  599. 22:38shipping scale that goes up to about 400
  600. 22:40lb for like $100 on ulim it's actually
  601. 22:43the one that I had before the screen got
  602. 22:44broken uh and unfortunately in that
  603. 22:46particular instance it's built into the
  604. 22:48unit so I can't just replace it easily
  605. 22:50but then we'll hit confirm packing
  606. 22:52information it's going to tell us it
  607. 22:53doesn't meet the expected minimum uh
  608. 22:56size because we told that these were
  609. 22:57going to be 10 by 6 in and I'm sure
  610. 23:00these I told that it was going to be a
  611. 23:02different size as well we can ignore
  612. 23:04that hit confirm and continue it's going
  613. 23:06to look for some fulfillment centers and
  614. 23:08the easiest way to do this is one
  615. 23:10shipment to Amazon and you can choose
  616. 23:13your Warehouse I always choose East
  617. 23:16because I'm located in the East because
  618. 23:18we're only sending one box it's a small
  619. 23:19pars of delivery and we're going to use
  620. 23:21UPS what it's going to ask us to do
  621. 23:23first though is confirm a shipping date
  622. 23:25before we're able to go through and do
  623. 23:26anything else for me these are going to
  624. 23:28go out on Monday the 27th of January and
  625. 23:32we can hit accept charges and confirm
  626. 23:34shipping we are going to use a thermal
  627. 23:36printer if you're using just a regular 8
  628. 23:391/2 by 11 sheet it will print out on
  629. 23:42half of that sheet and we will print out
  630. 23:45two labels one label is our FBA label so
  631. 23:49Amazon knows whose Warehouse to put this
  632. 23:51into if you registered as an individual
  633. 23:53seller it'll show your personal
  634. 23:54information up here if you're a business
  635. 23:56it'll show your business information and
  636. 23:59both of these labels have to go onto the
  637. 24:01Box essentially what they'll do is
  638. 24:02they'll scan this label on the outside
  639. 24:04of the box open it up scan everything
  640. 24:05inside that'll verify that what you said
  641. 24:08you sent is actually what they received
  642. 24:10and shortly thereafter it becomes
  643. 24:12available in your Amazon store for Prime
  644. 24:14shipping all right and the last step is
  645. 24:16getting this box all taped up we can get
  646. 24:18our Amazon labels applied to it we'll
  647. 24:20get it off to the Amazon warehouse and I
  648. 24:22will do my best to remove all of the
  649. 24:24previous shipping labels from the box
  650. 24:26just to not add any confusion when
  651. 24:28Amazon receives anything we can apply
  652. 24:31one
  653. 24:32label on the side over here that's our
  654. 24:34FBA
  655. 24:36label and then we can apply our shipping
  656. 24:39label and this is ready to go to UPS or
  657. 24:42whoever you chose to ship your items out
  658. 24:45now it can vary from location to
  659. 24:46location how long it actually takes for
  660. 24:48your items to arrive in the Amazon
  661. 24:50warehouse and be available for Prime
  662. 24:51shipping but in general I've found 2 to
  663. 24:533 weeks as a good time frame to give
  664. 24:55yourself before your items are actually
  665. 24:57available for people to purchase with
  666. 24:59prime shipping so just make sure you
  667. 25:01account for that when you are restocking
  668. 25:02your items that it will take 2 to 3
  669. 25:04weeks for the items to be available
  670. 25:06again once you send them back out I know
  671. 25:08this video didn't cover everything
  672. 25:10there's a lot to learn inside of Amazon
  673. 25:11Seller Central that I myself am still
  674. 25:13learning so I hope you'll stick around
  675. 25:15with me as I learn more of Amazon and I
  676. 25:17hope this video was helpful to those of
  677. 25:19you who are just starting out with
  678. 25:21Amazon I want to thank you all so much
