- 0:00I was crying with tears of joy you know
- 0:03I just am so incredibly grateful to have
- 0:07my girl home some amazing breaking news
- 0:10out of Hawaii this morning a woman with
- 0:12North Carolina ties who's been missing
- 0:14for weeks is alive
- 0:16a helicopter spotty Amanda eller and a
- 0:18ravine overnight no one had heard from
- 0:21her since May 8th when she went for a
- 0:23hike but her mother says she never
- 0:25stopped hoping for her return I felt in
- 0:28my heart she was alive I never gave up
- 0:30hope for a minute and even though at
- 0:33times you know I would have those
- 0:35moments of despair i strong for her
- 0:38because I knew that we would find her
- 0:40well Amanda was apparently alert talking
- 0:43and coherent when crews found her she
- 0:45even snapped this selfie with them
- 0:47Amanda apparently survived by eating
- 0:49plants she did have a broken leg and
- 0:52some cuts but she will get help at the
- 0:54hospital and she should be out of the
- 0:56hospital later today
