  1. 0:00Welcome to the third edition of AI
  2. 0:02Advantage for Professionals. I am Jana
  3. 0:05and I'm a founder of Sheil Loves Data.
  4. 0:08Right now I'm 35,000 kilometers above
  5. 0:11the ground somewhere in the air between
  6. 0:13Singapore and Prague. But I wanted to
  7. 0:15say hello to all of you and tell you two
  8. 0:18things. One, you are brave. You found
  9. 0:21time in your busy schedule to come here
  10. 0:23and learn and that is fantastic. It will
  11. 0:27make you more employable and it will
  12. 0:29create skills for you that are more
  13. 0:31transferable. And AI is moving so fast.
  14. 0:35So there is always something to learn
  15. 0:36and we will do it in a very engaging way
  16. 0:40with our fantastic instructors Nikki and
  17. 0:44Aish. So you are in a right space and
  18. 0:46place. Second, use this opportunity not
  19. 0:51only to learn but as well to create your
  20. 0:54own global network. We are here with
  21. 0:57people from 50 plus countries. So be
  22. 1:01active on Slack when you are asking
  23. 1:03question or responding and find out
  24. 1:05who's there with you because this is a
  25. 1:07great opportunity to expand your own
  26. 1:10personal network. So please do that and
  27. 1:14join us on Slack. I want to thank to all
  28. 1:18amazing volunteers that made this
  29. 1:20possible that worked tirelessly on all
  30. 1:24those preparations that were needed for
  31. 1:26us to be here today. Thank you everyone
  32. 1:30and thank you our partner Cognizant for
  33. 1:33supporting us third year in a row. It
  34. 1:36means a lot. Have fun learning. Have fun
  35. 1:40connecting to each other. And I'll see
  36. 1:42you next time hopefully live on the
  37. 1:45master class that will be held on next
  38. 1:49Saturday. Bye.
  39. 1:51>> Cognizant has been supporting us for
  40. 1:55three years in a row, this particular
  41. 1:57series. Um, and without their help, all
  42. 2:01this free quality learning wouldn't have
  43. 2:04been possible. So I I'd love to welcome
  44. 2:08now Rebecca Becky Edney from Cognizant
  45. 2:12who has a few words to say. Becky,
  46. 2:17thank you so much Pat. And uh hi
  47. 2:20everybody. Um it's wonderful to be here
  48. 2:24with you all this evening. Um I'm
  49. 2:26joining from Sydney in Australia and I'm
  50. 2:29on the lands of the Gadagal people and
  51. 2:31the or nation and I pay my respects to
  52. 2:34their elders past and present and extend
  53. 2:36that respect to Aboriginal and tourist
  54. 2:38rate islander pe islander peoples
  55. 2:40joining us today
  56. 2:43and I guess as this is a global audience
  57. 2:45I'd also like to acknowledge the many
  58. 2:46cultures and communities and
  59. 2:48perspectives represented across today's
  60. 2:51session. Um, so wherever you are joining
  61. 2:53from, thank you for being here,
  62. 2:55investing your time in learning. Um, as
  63. 2:58Pat said, my name is Rebecca, although
  64. 3:00most people call me Becky. Um, and I'm
  65. 3:03the social impact lead in Australia, um,
  66. 3:05and New Zealand at Cognizant.
  67. 3:08Um, for those who may not be familiar
  68. 3:10with Cognizant, we're a global
  69. 3:12technology and professional services
  70. 3:14company. um working with organizations
  71. 3:17around the world to solve complex
  72. 3:20business challenges using technology,
  73. 3:22data, and AI. Today, we're helping some
  74. 3:26of the world's leading organizations
  75. 3:28navigate one of the biggest technology
  76. 3:30shifts that we've seen in decades. So,
  77. 3:33the rise of artificial intelligence.
  78. 3:36So, as Pat mentioned, this is our third
  79. 3:38year partnering with Sheila's data, and
  80. 3:40it's a partnership we're incredibly
  81. 3:42proud of. One of the reasons that we
  82. 3:45share a common is that we share that
  83. 3:47common belief that access to skills,
  84. 3:50knowledge, and opportunity shouldn't be
  85. 3:53limited by background, where you live,
  86. 3:55or where you are on your career journey.
  87. 3:58Um, at Cognizant, we talk a lot about
  88. 4:01being an AI builder. Now, that doesn't
  89. 4:05just mean building AI solutions or
  90. 4:07helping organizations adopt new
  91. 4:10technologies. It also means building
  92. 4:12people, building confidence, building
  93. 4:15skills,
  94. 4:17um, and building a mindset needed to
  95. 4:19thrive in a world where AI is becoming
  96. 4:22part of almost every industry and every
  97. 4:24role. So, let's be honest, AI is
  98. 4:28everywhere right now. Every day there's
  99. 4:30a new tool, a new headline, a new
  100. 4:32prediction about how work um, is going
  101. 4:35to change. It can be exciting, but it
  102. 4:38can also feel a little bit overwhelming.
  103. 4:40And so this is why programs like this
  104. 4:42really matter.
  105. 4:44Um, while technology is advancing
  106. 4:46rapidly, people don't need to have all
  107. 4:49the answers today. What matters is being
  108. 4:51curious, being willing to learn, and
  109. 4:53taking that next step in building your
  110. 4:55skills and confidence.
  111. 4:58In my role leading social impact
  112. 5:00programs and community partnerships,
  113. 5:02I've seen firsthand how access to these
  114. 5:04skills and opport opportunities can
  115. 5:07really transform lives. I've also
  116. 5:10learned that technology alone doesn't
  117. 5:12just create the positive outcome. People
  118. 5:14do. So, it's people who are willing to
  119. 5:17learn, adapt, embrace new possibilities.
  120. 5:21The people who use technology to solve
  121. 5:23real problems, support their communities
  122. 5:26and create opportunities for others. For
  123. 5:29others,
  124. 5:30the people who ask questions, the people
  125. 5:33who challenge assumptions,
  126. 5:35the people who think about how
  127. 5:37technology can can be used responsibly
  128. 5:39and inclusively, and the people who are
  129. 5:42willing to keep learning and that's
  130. 5:44today what I hope this session gives
  131. 5:46you. So whether you're here because
  132. 5:49you're curious about AI, I think I saw
  133. 5:51in the chat there there was quite a few
  134. 5:52people first time round. So that's
  135. 5:54amazing. So whether you're curious about
  136. 5:56AI, exploring new career opportunities,
  137. 5:59looking to strengthen your data and
  138. 6:01digital skills or simply wanting to
  139. 6:03connect with others on a similar
  140. 6:05journey, I hope you leave with at least
  141. 6:08one new idea, one new connection, and
  142. 6:12the confidence to take your next step.
  143. 6:15The future of AI isn't going to be
  144. 6:16shaped by technology companies alone.
  145. 6:19It's going to be shaped by all of us and
  146. 6:22by the diverse perspectives and
  147. 6:24experiences and ideas that we all bring.
  148. 6:27So, thank you so much for joining us
  149. 6:30today. Thank you to the incredible team
  150. 6:32at She Loves Data and I really hope you
  151. 6:34enjoy the session. I'm really looking
  152. 6:36forward to learning something as well.
  153. 6:38So, thank you so much for having me.
  154. 6:41>> Hi everyone. Can hope you guys can hear
  155. 6:43me loud and clear. Uh I'm excited to
  156. 6:45share today with you. Uh the a lot of
  157. 6:48you are asking how long session is. It's
  158. 6:49going to go on for just under another
  159. 6:51two hours and I'll keep it nice and
  160. 6:53pacey. Um it is a hands-on experience
  161. 6:57today and just a little bit of
  162. 6:59background for me. Uh I'm a venture
  163. 7:01builder. I run an edtech company and I
  164. 7:04help a lot of founders build startups
  165. 7:05from the ground up. So, it is in my best
  166. 7:08interest every single day to find the
  167. 7:11shortest cut I can share to get you up
  168. 7:14and running at almost the cheapest way
  169. 7:16possible. So, a lot of the tools I'm
  170. 7:18going to be sharing uh with you today
  171. 7:21are nearly free if not free itself. Um,
  172. 7:24what I would love for you to do today is
  173. 7:27just to get the kind of topic going.
  174. 7:31Let's say you were in a situation today
  175. 7:34where all of you have you a lot of you
  176. 7:36have used AI before. What I want you to
  177. 7:39think about a little bit. How many of
  178. 7:40you have been through a situation where
  179. 7:41you've sent something and your AI
  180. 7:44entirely generated it? Now, if you've
  181. 7:47done that before, this poll will be
  182. 7:50quite relevant to you. Um have a think
  183. 7:53about what you would do. um because
  184. 7:55we're going to come back to this at the
  185. 7:57end of this course and we're going to
  186. 7:59cycle back and see how you navigate the
  187. 8:01same situation. Your AI assistant has
  188. 8:04drafted a client report
  189. 8:06and one line reads the global
  190. 8:08plant-based market milk market grew 47%
  191. 8:11last year according to industry reports.
  192. 8:13Now mind you not everything is going to
  193. 8:15be about one topic here today but I just
  194. 8:17picked a brand to go with. What do you
  195. 8:20do? Do you send it out? Number sounds
  196. 8:22possible. Oh wow. Okay. A lot of people
  197. 8:24are getting answers going in here. Now,
  198. 8:27here's the thing. You may have sent it
  199. 8:30before. You may have soft asked your AI
  200. 8:33to soften the line so you protect your
  201. 8:35back. But it looks like you guys, a lot
  202. 8:37of you are already starting to see what
  203. 8:39you would lean towards. And that is
  204. 8:42actually where today I'm going to show
  205. 8:44you how to do it. But there's a problem
  206. 8:47with this. Of course, D is a great easy
  207. 8:50answer, but have you guys realized how
  208. 8:53long it takes to do this? One of the
  209. 8:55biggest problems about citing every
  210. 8:57single fact, especially when AI throws
  211. 8:59it at you, is you need it. Yes, check
  212. 9:02the actual report, read the things. One
  213. 9:05of the biggest problem though is it
  214. 9:07takes a lot of time and you don't know
  215. 9:10where your facts are coming from. So how
  216. 9:13do we start moving
  217. 9:16and and yes exactly as some of the
  218. 9:18people in the chat are saying it's quite
  219. 9:20long when D is the option right you have
  220. 9:22to go through read the source cite
  221. 9:25exactly the point but here's the problem
  222. 9:28you can't get away with that right now
  223. 9:31because a lot of you may have been on
  224. 9:33LinkedIn recently and you'll notice a
  225. 9:35new term that has been going all over
  226. 9:39it's called AI slop now what What is AI
  227. 9:42slop? It is when you copy paste content
  228. 9:44from an AI and push it out. Don't check
  229. 9:47anything. And believe it or not, I just
  230. 9:49saw this today on LinkedIn. I'm just on
  231. 9:51the she loves data page as an example.
  232. 9:54You can post, you can click on any post
  233. 9:57and they've added a new button here that
  234. 9:59says seems like AI slop. Now, I want
  235. 10:03everyone here to know how we're going to
  236. 10:05avoid doing that. My entire goal today
  237. 10:08is I still want you to use AI. I want
  238. 10:11you to take all the shortcuts it
  239. 10:13provides but not end up with AI slop.
  240. 10:16And that's really going to be the theme
  241. 10:19of what I'm trying to do here today. So
  242. 10:21if you guys have seen this before, if
  243. 10:23you have any questions along the way,
  244. 10:24one of the biggest things about today's
  245. 10:26session, it is interactive. So throw
  246. 10:28questions at me. I'm going to give you
  247. 10:30I'm going to even change some of my live
  248. 10:32examples to be relevant to you as well.
  249. 10:36Now, what are we going to cover today?
  250. 10:38Uh, if you have a Gmail account, I
  251. 10:40highly recommend you log into your
  252. 10:42browser and we're actually going to use
  253. 10:44some of the Gemini tools as an example
  254. 10:46today, but everything I teach you is
  255. 10:48going to be cross transferable to any AI
  256. 10:50tool. Um, we are actually going to use
  257. 10:53some really popular tools from Gemini.
  258. 10:56And I'm also going to wrap up the
  259. 10:58session with the this one's not
  260. 11:00hands-on, but I'm going to show you how
  261. 11:01I use Cloud Code for my clients today.
  262. 11:04So you get to see the real professional
  263. 11:06layer as well. Um, keep in mind there is
  264. 11:09a entire segment on learning how to
  265. 11:12build agents later on and automations
  266. 11:15and ethics and bias being talked about.
  267. 11:18So today I just want you with the
  268. 11:20browser. You don't need to write code
  269. 11:22hopefully because that's the whole point
  270. 11:23of AI. So we're going to jump in. Uh,
  271. 11:26Claude code is going to be slightly
  272. 11:28different to Claude agents. I will cover
  273. 11:30that shortly. So stay with me and I will
  274. 11:33unpack that as we go through. So one of
  275. 11:36the biggest things I want you to think
  276. 11:38about today is you're going to probably
  277. 11:40want to apply this to your projects.
  278. 11:42Maybe you work for a company, maybe you
  279. 11:43run your own startup, maybe you're
  280. 11:45thinking of running your own idea, but
  281. 11:47I'm going to ground today with a fake
  282. 11:49company called Otello. So if you don't
  283. 11:51have your own ideas spun up yet, you can
  284. 11:54use these examples. Okay. So, Otello is
  285. 11:57a fictional milk oat milk startup
  286. 11:59invented just for today and it's
  287. 12:02preparing its first international
  288. 12:04launch. Your job is to decide which of
  289. 12:06the three possible positionings you
  290. 12:07should lead with. Write a brief and
  291. 12:10you're going to have to use real public
  292. 12:11sources to pull all the information out
  293. 12:14and find out what is disagreeing with
  294. 12:16each other. Now, for this, I'm going to
  295. 12:19put this link in the chat here for
  296. 12:21everyone,
  297. 12:23but I want you all to open this link for
  298. 12:25me. You're going to need it in a second.
  299. 12:28Just pop it over to a tab and come back
  300. 12:30to this slide. So if you have any
  301. 12:33issues, it's just collective global.net
  302. 12:35training AI or Telesourceback. So put it
  303. 12:38in the chat, open it up. What you will
  304. 12:40see looks like this
  305. 12:43because I don't want you to spend an
  306. 12:46hour here going through looking for
  307. 12:48sources. I've prepared six for you and
  308. 12:50we all don't like copy pasting manually.
  309. 12:52So, you can just literally click that
  310. 12:54button, copy all six, which you will in
  311. 12:56one second. But let me tell you why I'm
  312. 12:58giving you this link. Because the
  313. 13:00reality of the situation is the
  314. 13:02internet's full of information, and they
  315. 13:04don't always agree. One website is going
  316. 13:06to tell you, oh, the shopper's most
  317. 13:08important thing if you're launching an
  318. 13:10oat milk startup is taste and price. The
  319. 13:12other one is going to say the biggest
  320. 13:14marketing angle should be environmental
  321. 13:16impact. Or it's all about what coffee
  322. 13:19you can make. Let me make sure you guys
  323. 13:22can open that link. And if you cannot,
  324. 13:24do not worry. And if the audio is too
  325. 13:26low, I'm going to come in a bit closer
  326. 13:28here. Hopefully you guys can hear me. So
  327. 13:31I will copy paste each of those six
  328. 13:33links for you on the chat now as well.
  329. 13:36So do not worry and I will paste it
  330. 13:38again and again. So you have nothing to
  331. 13:39worry about there. Now why am I talking
  332. 13:42about this?
  333. 13:44I want you to try seeing one issue. You
  334. 13:48all have used Google before and today
  335. 13:50we're going to start with Gemini. If you
  336. 13:52go to gemini.google.com,
  337. 13:56you'll be able to actually type in a
  338. 13:58search once you're logged in. And you
  339. 14:00can see I'm logged into my personal
  340. 14:01account and I can start looking for
  341. 14:03things. Now, the six sources, in case
  342. 14:06everyone's worried, don't worry about
  343. 14:07that right now. I will paste it very
  344. 14:09shortly. But what I what the issue I
  345. 14:11have is if everyone in this chat here
  346. 14:14went in pasted it, you're not going to
  347. 14:17get the same information. And Google has
  348. 14:20been looking at this as well. I don't
  349. 14:21work for Google, by the way, but I just
  350. 14:23used it. And I did realize one thing
  351. 14:25that they shared that was super
  352. 14:27powerful. It's not that you're not
  353. 14:30talented at prompt engineering. It's not
  354. 14:31a secret prompt and it's not even
  355. 14:34anything other than context. So today,
  356. 14:37make sure you remember everything about
  357. 14:40AI is about context. Let's see how that
  358. 14:44works. A little trick I want you to take
  359. 14:46away. If you're on a screen today, take
  360. 14:48a screenshot uh of this. This is going
  361. 14:51to be a little rule or a mantra I want
  362. 14:54you to remember. Every time you talk to
  363. 14:56an AI, you start with TCI. Google
  364. 15:00actually shared this framework, but I
  365. 15:01think it's a fantastic one to use today.
  366. 15:04The task is very literal. One of the
  367. 15:08problems a lot of people do when they
  368. 15:10start using AI is they'll say, "Oh, I'm
  369. 15:12running a oat milk startup. Write me a
  370. 15:15launch campaign." And that's it. So, one
  371. 15:18of the biggest problems is the AI now
  372. 15:20has no context, doesn't actually
  373. 15:23understand what it's supposed to deliver
  374. 15:24to you, and it doesn't even know what
  375. 15:27references to pull from. So, it's going
  376. 15:29to try to invent these. And this is
  377. 15:31where you start entering the world. And
  378. 15:32mind you, two years ago, hallucination
  379. 15:35was worse than it is today, but it still
  380. 15:37happens. So, how do we solve this with
  381. 15:41TCRI is the top three parts are actually
  382. 15:45loading something called the brief. The
  383. 15:47bottom two are going to be your cycle on
  384. 15:50how you keep improving it after you
  385. 15:53create the first three. Now, let's
  386. 15:55actually try this in real time.
  387. 15:58So for the next step, I'm going to first
  388. 16:02do one copy paste. And don't worry, like
  389. 16:04I said, I will paste my prompt for you.
  390. 16:07So you can copy paste that from the
  391. 16:08chat. But this is what a lot of you are
  392. 16:11doing. And I I have clients that do that
  393. 16:14all around the world.
  394. 16:16Now watch what happens. What's going to
  395. 16:18come back for me here is not perfect
  396. 16:22because it's going to give me
  397. 16:25information galore. It is fantastic and
  398. 16:28it looks great. But my issue with this
  399. 16:31entire thing is it's not grounded on
  400. 16:34anything. You still have to unpack a lot
  401. 16:36of information and it has no idea what I
  402. 16:39was looking for. But let's just quickly
  403. 16:40scan through it. It's a strategic go to
  404. 16:42market blueprint. Do your MVP, establish
  405. 16:46manufacturing, production, so on, so on,
  406. 16:48so on. Now, as I go through this, I'm
  407. 16:53going to now create a brand new chat. So
  408. 16:56remember, there's a reason I didn't just
  409. 16:58add it to the bottom. I didn't want to
  410. 17:00pollute my chat because my information
  411. 17:02above is going to start impacting below.
  412. 17:04This is the problem with normal AI
  413. 17:06tools. They are built to continue
  414. 17:09information over and over again. So what
  415. 17:12we're going to do here is we're actually
  416. 17:14going to write our own very TCI
  417. 17:18kind of format.
  418. 17:20Have a look here. So I'm going to copy
  419. 17:22the task in context.
  420. 17:25I'm going to paste this here and then I
  421. 17:26will paste it in the chat so don't
  422. 17:27worry. And then for references, I'm
  423. 17:30going to go back to the link. Some of
  424. 17:32you mentioned you couldn't open it, so
  425. 17:33I'm going to paste all six again here.
  426. 17:36Literally copy paste this whole chunk.
  427. 17:38Don't worry about how ugly it looks.
  428. 17:39Just copy the whole chunk cuz remember
  429. 17:42AI doesn't need it to be neat and tidy.
  430. 17:45So we're going to go back to our Google
  431. 17:47and this time note I've got task
  432. 17:51recommend one lead angle. This is
  433. 17:54important because you're literally
  434. 17:56saying, "Hey, don't give me like 15
  435. 17:58different directions. One angle, 150
  436. 18:01words context.
  437. 18:04Ootello is a new oat milk brand entering
  438. 18:06its first international market.
  439. 18:09Candidates are the taste and price,
  440. 18:11sustainability, and coffee performance.
  441. 18:13This is the information it cares about
  442. 18:17of what are the lead angles to go for.
  443. 18:20And then right before you throw in the
  444. 18:22links, make sure you inform the thing,
  445. 18:26just say references.
  446. 18:28So if you guys want to just Yeah, I got
  447. 18:31you, Dimple. There you go. Just copy
  448. 18:34paste this whole thing. Now check this
  449. 18:36out. I'm on to the cheap model. We're
  450. 18:39going to just hit submit. I want you to
  451. 18:41realize what the difference is going to
  452. 18:43come out now.
  453. 18:46Boom. Look at the quality the difference
  454. 18:49simply following the structure. If you
  455. 18:51copy paste the structure again and again
  456. 18:53and again for everything your quality
  457. 18:56goes up amplified quite a lot. So coffee
  458. 18:58performance is the core according to AI
  459. 19:02today. No other information purely from
  460. 19:05my references.
  461. 19:07Now here's another problem. I'm sitting
  462. 19:10here. Let's say I went this to you all
  463. 19:12and you all are my boss and I told you,
  464. 19:14"Hey, so the highv value specialty cafes
  465. 19:17are the primary gateway for plant-based
  466. 19:19adoption." And you asked me, Nikki, can
  467. 19:22you please explain where you got that
  468. 19:25information from? And now suddenly
  469. 19:28I'm freaking out because I have no idea
  470. 19:31where it pulled the information. And
  471. 19:33yes, I love the fact that some of you in
  472. 19:35the chat are getting different results.
  473. 19:36This is going to be my point and I will
  474. 19:38explain exactly why. The whole point
  475. 19:42here is you're as you structure the
  476. 19:44prompt, you're on a public system called
  477. 19:47Gemini and it's learning every single
  478. 19:51time you use it. So every time you've
  479. 19:54been using Gemini, it's adapting and
  480. 19:57evolving. So your information is going
  481. 19:59to get personalized. I'm going to show
  482. 20:00you an exact example here. Let's try the
  483. 20:03same prompt. new chat window. In fact,
  484. 20:06I'm going to go on temporary chat kind
  485. 20:08of like incognito
  486. 20:10and let's paste the same thing and look
  487. 20:13at the results. Same AI model and look
  488. 20:17at the difference in quality.
  489. 20:22So, you're going to start seeing how
  490. 20:25every single time I'm copy pasting this,
  491. 20:28I'm getting better results because of my
  492. 20:31prompt engineering. And a lot of people
  493. 20:33online are saying in AI you just need to
  494. 20:35be a really good prompt engineer. Well,
  495. 20:37you just saw that doesn't really work
  496. 20:40that well all the time because all of
  497. 20:43you are getting different results and
  498. 20:44now no one knows who's the right one. So
  499. 20:48what should do here? Now what we're
  500. 20:51going to do here is I'm going to
  501. 20:52introduce the first tool.
  502. 20:55Gemini Notebook, historically known as,
  503. 20:58I think it was called Notebook LM
  504. 21:00before, is a tool that Gemini has rolled
  505. 21:03out. Now, if you go into Gemini here and
  506. 21:06you click on the bottom settings, you'll
  507. 21:09actually see there's a whole bunch of
  508. 21:10options here and you may see Gemini
  509. 21:14notebook.
  510. 21:16Now, if you don't, I'm going to do you a
  511. 21:18favor and I'm going to just copy paste
  512. 21:21the exact link here in the chat
  513. 21:25so you can follow through.
  514. 21:27Now, what is Gemini Notebook? What has
  515. 21:30it got to do with anything we're doing
  516. 21:31here? Unlike just a simple search bar
  517. 21:34and a prompt going, "What do you want?"
  518. 21:37Google built an entire research notebook
  519. 21:39system. Now what it does is it allows
  520. 21:42you to inject the same sources that we
  521. 21:44were talking about earlier, those six
  522. 21:45sources, and then it can ground all the
  523. 21:49answers and audit all the information
  524. 21:52and claims with a label on where it got
  525. 21:54the information from. Now, the only way
  526. 21:57to try this is to do it in real life.
  527. 22:01Now, before we jump in and test this
  528. 22:03directly, you're going to be able to
  529. 22:05research any topic. Now, by the way, one
  530. 22:08of the biggest tips I can give you, I
  531. 22:10use notebook to effectively learn huge
  532. 22:13amount of information every single day.
  533. 22:15And you're about to see why. But a lot
  534. 22:17of people think this is just a gimmick,
  535. 22:19right? Like, hey, you can learn things,
  536. 22:21you can kind of chat with things, but I
  537. 22:24have real work to do. I've got to like
  538. 22:25write a proposal, a brief. I have to
  539. 22:27generate a full report. If you're on the
  540. 22:30free tier, don't worry because the free
  541. 22:33tier, the pro tier, and the enterprise
  542. 22:36tier all work with this. The idea here
  543. 22:39is you just have a little bit less
  544. 22:41capabilities along the way in the free
  545. 22:44tier. So, it is free to start with and
  546. 22:46you can top up along the way. Today, I'm
  547. 22:48going to be using the middle tier on
  548. 22:50that. So, I want to also show you how I
  549. 22:53use real work. It's not just hey AI
  550. 22:56thinks this or my model thinks this so
  551. 22:58I'm going to write this. I can't do that
  552. 23:00for briefs and proposals. So now let's
  553. 23:02have a look
  554. 23:04before we jump into question questioning
  555. 23:07it and unpacking it. Let's actually do
  556. 23:08it. So what I want you to do I want
  557. 23:11everyone here now we're going to slow
  558. 23:12down here so you guys all have time to
  559. 23:14do this. I am now logged into different
  560. 23:17account. I'm going to switch accounts to
  561. 23:19show you first so you can see my
  562. 23:21personal account.
  563. 23:24And you can see I've got a bunch of
  564. 23:26notebooks here, featured notebooks.
  565. 23:29Uh if you can't copy from the chat, uh I
  566. 23:33will have someone in the team have a
  567. 23:34look at that. But we are going to make
  568. 23:37sure that you can type this very easily.
  569. 23:39It's notebook.google.com
  570. 23:43in case you need it. And what I want you
  571. 23:44to do is once you're in here, we're
  572. 23:47going to actually start by creating a
  573. 23:48new notebook
  574. 23:50so you can see it from scratch. when you
  575. 23:53first start
  576. 23:55uh I hope the links are opening for you
  577. 23:57all notebook.google.com google.com
  578. 24:00when you first start you get to see this
  579. 24:02when you create a notebook which is
  580. 24:04effectively you can create audio video
  581. 24:07overviews and all that information what
  582. 24:09I want you to do oh I will answer some
  583. 24:11of those questions coming in do not
  584. 24:13worry I am reading them I want you to go
  585. 24:15back to those six sources that we copied
  586. 24:19go here and copy all six again
  587. 24:23and in the notebook
  588. 24:25you will see on the bottom here you have
  589. 24:27a few options. You can search for
  590. 24:29sources yourself. You can upload files.
  591. 24:32This could be your personal PDFs or so
  592. 24:35on. This could be YouTube videos or
  593. 24:37links of things you're studying about.
  594. 24:39Could be Google Drive. It could even be
  595. 24:42a book that you want to unpack and do a
  596. 24:44book study partner with. But we're going
  597. 24:47to do this with literally links. So,
  598. 24:49here I want websites. I want you to
  599. 24:50click on websites.
  600. 24:52Um, and Benedict, uh, yes, you can do
  601. 24:55this on your phone. the UI will be just
  602. 24:57a little different. Um, bear with me.
  603. 25:00Uh, you just might have a few other
  604. 25:01clicks to do on a phone.
  605. 25:04So, I'm just pasting all of these and
  606. 25:07I'm going to hit insert. Immediately,
  607. 25:10what's going to happen is it's going to
  608. 25:12start generating and connecting all the
  609. 25:14information here. And you wait. As soon
  610. 25:17as you can, it'll pop open a little
  611. 25:20summary of everything inside as a
  612. 25:22combination.
  613. 25:24So if you do not see the website
  614. 25:25options, you can just say copy paste.
  615. 25:29And if some of you are experiencing a
  616. 25:31slightly different UI, uh I will cycle
  617. 25:33back to that and show you a different
  618. 25:34way. The idea here should be adding
  619. 25:37sources. You should be able to click
  620. 25:39that button and if you don't see
  621. 25:42websites, you can even do copy test uh
  622. 25:45text as links because or you can search
  623. 25:47by pasting all of them here in the box.
  624. 25:50So either or should work. The idea here
  625. 25:53is you can add individual websites on
  626. 25:56the left, individual files, documents,
  627. 25:59entire project files if you wanted,
  628. 26:02including presentation. And now you can
  629. 26:05see it has completely summarized all the
  630. 26:08information. Now let's try the
  631. 26:10difference. I'm going to go ahead and go
  632. 26:13same question.
  633. 26:16What what is actually driving shoppers
  634. 26:18to switch to plant-based milk? Okay.
  635. 26:23All I'm going to do now in Gemini
  636. 26:25notebook
  637. 26:27is I'm going to ask that question and
  638. 26:29it's actually now no longer allowed to
  639. 26:31just go to the internet, make up stuff
  640. 26:33and tell me information. It's going to
  641. 26:35have to ground every bit of information
  642. 26:39on those links. Now, for those of you
  643. 26:41who might not be able to see clearly,
  644. 26:43I'm going to zoom in a lot here, so bear
  645. 26:45with me. I hope this is better for
  646. 26:46everyone. And you can see the answer
  647. 26:49here. Shoppers are switching to
  648. 26:50plant-based milk due to a combination of
  649. 26:52dietary needs, functional product
  650. 26:54improvement, blah blah blah blah blah.
  651. 26:56And then it has an exact crop of where
  652. 27:00it pulled it from and I can pull out the
  653. 27:02source. This kind of citation and it has
  654. 27:06more citations. By the way, you just
  655. 27:08have to hit that expand button. You're
  656. 27:11able to easily see information that is
  657. 27:15directly pulled from the sources. So
  658. 27:18everything here now I can back up as
  659. 27:21long as I trust these websites. So yes,
  660. 27:25June's question for those of you by the
  661. 27:27way having struggle with the chat if
  662. 27:29someone in the team could kindly help
  663. 27:31that would be amazing. Um and then for
  664. 27:33June just to give you a hand here. Uh
  665. 27:36yes the entire functionality of notebook
  666. 27:40is actually to lock the information or
  667. 27:43knowledge base. So that's the entire
  668. 27:46idea and if uh if it's slack just bear
  669. 27:49with me for a second. I am going to
  670. 27:51paste the entire uh link on Slack
  671. 27:56so you can all see it.
  672. 27:59So if any of you are on Slack already,
  673. 28:01you're about to see the source pack
  674. 28:04which will have all the links. Hope that
  675. 28:06helps.
  676. 28:08Now let's have a look at what's
  677. 28:10happening here.
  678. 28:12This isn't the exciting part. I mean,
  679. 28:15the information is higher quality than
  680. 28:18ever. Oh, if any of you want my
  681. 28:20question, the exact prompt that I did,
  682. 28:23here you go. I'm going to actually go
  683. 28:24back two slides and get you that as
  684. 28:27well.
  685. 28:31There you go. Remember, fill out the
  686. 28:34references yourself if you can.
  687. 28:39There you go. Hopefully that helps. The
  688. 28:41title is automatically created. I didn't
  689. 28:43make any of that title. So, what's
  690. 28:46awesome here is you can keep on going.
  691. 28:49But some of this stuff takes time and
  692. 28:51I'm cautious. I want to show you guys
  693. 28:52way more stuff. So, I pasted a new
  694. 28:55question not in a chat. I pasted in a
  695. 28:57new notebook. So, right now we're in
  696. 28:59notebook, but if you're still looking at
  697. 29:01Gemini, yes, I actually opened an
  698. 29:04incognito chat. You can do that on the
  699. 29:07top right of your Gemini to open a new
  700. 29:10chat in hidden mode or like incognito
  701. 29:14mode.
  702. 29:16So, one of the things I want to show you
  703. 29:18is what does it look like when you've
  704. 29:20already generated the studio stuff. Now,
  705. 29:23I'm going to jump in with the sample
  706. 29:24answer cuz I prepared some of these
  707. 29:26beforehand. I want you all to try this.
  708. 29:28It just takes a few minutes to generate.
  709. 29:31Is on the right. You will now, if you
  710. 29:34have all of this and you're following me
  711. 29:35with this so far, you can click on audio
  712. 29:38and you can click on audio here. I want
  713. 29:40you to go and click on brief.
  714. 29:45And someone asked, am I cross-checking
  715. 29:49the six sources I provided? Yes, it
  716. 29:51actually is gaining information from
  717. 29:54only those six sources and pulling that
  718. 29:56in.
  719. 29:57So, I want you to try this audio feature
  720. 30:00here with brief six sources. You can
  721. 30:03choose to uncheck some of them. If
  722. 30:05you're basically saying, I don't like
  723. 30:07this link. It's terrible. It's giving me
  724. 30:09it's skewing my information. You can
  725. 30:11uncheck it at any time. Let's do a short
  726. 30:14brief in English. Or if any of you are
  727. 30:18looking at any other information, and
  728. 30:21I'm going to do this slowly, don't
  729. 30:22worry. I'm going to go super slow on
  730. 30:24this. So on audio in notebook as soon as
  731. 30:28you upload your first set of links you
  732. 30:31get a chat window that opens like this.
  733. 30:34On the left you will see all the links
  734. 30:38of everything you uploaded. In the
  735. 30:40middle you will see a chat uh chat box
  736. 30:42kind of like to chat with the uh
  737. 30:44information and then on the right you
  738. 30:46will see something called studio. If you
  739. 30:48do not it might be toggled this way but
  740. 30:52make sure you can see it. Now I will
  741. 30:54cover how the free settings have a
  742. 30:57limitation on some aspects but let me
  743. 30:59just show you everything first so you
  744. 31:01can understand the scope. So if I click
  745. 31:03on audio it'll ask me what format do I
  746. 31:06want. Now I want to just jump the gun a
  747. 31:10little bit and show you the quality of
  748. 31:13information you can get cuz I'm lazy
  749. 31:16right by nature. I'm like I don't want
  750. 31:18to read all this information. I just
  751. 31:19want to lie down in bed with my
  752. 31:21headphones
  753. 31:22and this is what it produced in just a
  754. 31:24few minutes.
  755. 31:26>> I hope you
  756. 31:27>> environmental impact, marketing
  757. 31:28strategies and future trajectory of
  758. 31:31plant-based dairy, specifically focusing
  759. 31:34on oat milk,
  760. 31:35>> right?
  761. 31:36>> And it is exceptionally strong in its
  762. 31:37breadth of data and deep understanding
  763. 31:40of both consumer trends and barista
  764. 31:42level mechanics, meaning
  765. 31:45>> right.
  766. 31:46So when a barista introduces standard
  767. 31:49almond milk into that environment, the
  768. 31:51sudden drop in pH combined with the high
  769. 31:54temperature causes the almond proteins
  770. 31:56to just denature almost. Now what's
  771. 31:58happening here is it took all the six
  772. 32:01sources
  773. 32:03and what I have done here is simply gone
  774. 32:06to audio overview and I have generated
  775. 32:11in either a debate, a critique, a brief
  776. 32:15or a deep dive. Um, good question. They
  777. 32:18do have a free tier uh and they do allow
  778. 32:21it in the free tier. There's just
  779. 32:23limited information on what you can
  780. 32:26produce. like after a while it will say
  781. 32:28it'll it'll generate super slow or it'll
  782. 32:31be maybe a little bit shorter the
  783. 32:34capacity. So you'll notice I've got two
  784. 32:36versions and I'll take you through all
  785. 32:38the different versions as well. So
  786. 32:40please let it run. That's why I told you
  787. 32:41just let it run. At the end of the
  788. 32:43session you might have a audio already
  789. 32:45built for you. I want to show off just
  790. 32:47one more feature for you. Not only does
  791. 32:50it produce almost like a podcast and Pat
  792. 32:53I I made up the six uh sources by my own
  793. 32:57search in preparation for this course. I
  794. 32:59just pulled them together for this
  795. 33:01particular demo but of course you can
  796. 33:04add to it or change it. Now when you
  797. 33:08want to actually produce let's say a
  798. 33:10presentation
  799. 33:14look at the quality of what it can
  800. 33:16actually produce.
  801. 33:19So
  802. 33:20I I love how someone's asking about some
  803. 33:23information about podcast.
  804. 33:25What you wanted to get uh let me just
  805. 33:28read that right. I just wanted to text
  806. 33:30line spoken by two people. Yes, it is
  807. 33:32effectively uh I'm going to hope I get
  808. 33:35your name right. Uta uh is effectively
  809. 33:37two people having a conversation about a
  810. 33:39topic and you can modify and tweak. Now
  811. 33:43the prompt isn't the limit. It's
  812. 33:45actually the amount of uh length of the
  813. 33:49podcast that you can generate is the
  814. 33:50limit on the tiers. But as you expand
  815. 33:53out, the studio actually can produce an
  816. 33:57entire presentation for you with all the
  817. 34:00information. None of these designs were
  818. 34:03done specially. If you look at my
  819. 34:05prompts, all I did was I went in, I put
  820. 34:08in the links, and then I started asking
  821. 34:11some questions, but then I just
  822. 34:13immediately started generating
  823. 34:15information from studio. For those of
  824. 34:17you who ask me, how do I open the
  825. 34:19studio? It's on the right hand side and
  826. 34:22that you'll see these icons. You can
  827. 34:24always expand it on the very top. Um,
  828. 34:27you can actually give a template for
  829. 34:29slides. So when you click on the slides
  830. 34:31and look at this when I click on slide
  831. 34:32deck you see the sources you can
  832. 34:35actually specifically give your like
  833. 34:37company brand and uh maybe you made
  834. 34:40PowerPoint slides already upload them
  835. 34:42and then have them as a source and then
  836. 34:45tell it to follow. It doesn't do a good
  837. 34:47job at creating templates. It's more for
  838. 34:50the topic in question. Now, I also love
  839. 34:54the fact that on Instagram, if I wanted
  840. 34:56to post something about this, like let's
  841. 34:59say I wanted to create something to put
  842. 35:02online, I just want you to see the
  843. 35:04quality difference. And yes, by the way,
  844. 35:07some of you may notice it takes a lot of
  845. 35:08time. That's why I switched. Um, I let
  846. 35:10it run at the background. So, please
  847. 35:12don't try to finish everything in one
  848. 35:14shot in this class. Let it run in the
  849. 35:16background and then you can come back to
  850. 35:18it. But
  851. 35:21um one of the key things you'll notice
  852. 35:23is have a look at the quality of text. 2
  853. 35:26years ago and even last year the
  854. 35:29information and the text was completely
  855. 35:32broken. It looked like AI slop to be
  856. 35:35quite honest. But the level of quality
  857. 35:37now is just upgraded so much so that
  858. 35:40when you're adding your presentations,
  859. 35:41when you're doing your work and you want
  860. 35:43to visualize something, normally you
  861. 35:45might have to spend a lot of time
  862. 35:46producing this kind of level of
  863. 35:48information. And now this it's spitting
  864. 35:50it out so much faster. I can give you
  865. 35:53way more tips like you could copy and
  866. 35:55download this entire graphic and you can
  867. 35:57keep editing it beyond as well. So let's
  868. 36:00say that's a great question one of you
  869. 36:02asked. I'm going to rightclick
  870. 36:04and copy. I'm just going to copy this
  871. 36:06image.
  872. 36:08Okay, is everyone following me?
  873. 36:10Infographic. I just clicked on
  874. 36:12infographic. I generated the style
  875. 36:14however I wanted it. I'll cover that in
  876. 36:16a second. And now I just copied it. I go
  877. 36:19back to my Gemini and I want to see I
  878. 36:22want to show you this. This is
  879. 36:24ridiculous level of work done in
  880. 36:26seconds. So, I paste my infographic
  881. 36:29and let's say change the title to
  882. 36:34Nikki's coffee shop.
  883. 36:39Now, I have no guarantee I'm doing this
  884. 36:40live. It may or may not work, but
  885. 36:44this is how you can start editing. I
  886. 36:46have personally used it in work uh
  887. 36:49situations or even for my personal life
  888. 36:52when I had to make banners, t-shirts, or
  889. 36:54posters. I'm actually now using Gemini
  890. 36:56to produce it instead of spending 2
  891. 36:58hours on Photoshop.
  892. 37:01And have a look, it just upgraded the
  893. 37:03text. So I didn't have to open anything
  894. 37:06special. I did everything in a browser
  895. 37:09and just pop it worked. So this is how
  896. 37:12you can bounce between information from
  897. 37:14notebook and the Gemini chat and it's
  898. 37:19yes is a lot like info infographics from
  899. 37:22nano banana. So, Telegram, uh, how do I
  900. 37:26take the infographic and paste it in? I
  901. 37:28just want to show you slowly. Uh, I
  902. 37:30clicked on infographic.
  903. 37:33Now, I'm a big fan of like putting
  904. 37:34things on Instagram, right? So, I use
  905. 37:36Square. That's a perfect one for
  906. 37:38Instagram. I I don't I don't trust it to
  907. 37:42make decisions for me. So, and I don't
  908. 37:43want cutesy stuff. Let's go a bit more.
  909. 37:46Let's have a look at Okay, I like
  910. 37:47instructional. That's more my vibe uh of
  911. 37:50what I'm going for here. And this is
  912. 37:52brand new. They've added details. You
  913. 37:53may or may not have this in the free
  914. 37:54version, but I just want to let you know
  915. 37:56it's there. Otherwise, standard does a
  916. 37:58good job. I usually use standard for
  917. 38:00most of my stuff, but I'll give you a
  918. 38:01clue on how detailed works. I can make
  919. 38:04sure it's from these sources. I don't
  920. 38:06even have to prompt anything. So, I just
  921. 38:08want to show you again. Square, by the
  922. 38:11way, for those of you from different
  923. 38:13languages, go nuts. It has so many
  924. 38:16languages to pick from. And then I'm
  925. 38:18just going to go back to instructional.
  926. 38:20Click the one you want. Detailed. Now
  927. 38:22you can actually give it prompts. I
  928. 38:26didn't bother. I just went generate.
  929. 38:29And yes, for those of you who are
  930. 38:30saying, "Oh, it's taking so long." It
  931. 38:32does take a a bit of time. Give it time.
  932. 38:35Please don't worry. The whole idea here
  933. 38:37is is generating an entire infographic
  934. 38:40by reading every information on those
  935. 38:42six websites. If you uploaded a book and
  936. 38:46you're like, "Here's a here's a book
  937. 38:48about a story about characters, and I
  938. 38:50want you to make a mind map of it." you
  939. 38:52can make a mind map of all the
  940. 38:53characters. So the information overload
  941. 38:57that we have with reading so many
  942. 38:59articles, reading so much content, I use
  943. 39:02notebook to help me organize all of that
  944. 39:04and I ground all the information on
  945. 39:07sources that I trust.
  946. 39:10Um chat GPT and claude I use all of them
  947. 39:13to be honest. Um the reason I'm showing
  948. 39:15you notebook it's quite unique in its
  949. 39:17tool like I haven't you can actually use
  950. 39:19different tools which I'll show you
  951. 39:20later like clawed code but the organized
  952. 39:24structure of notebook is just so easy
  953. 39:27and which is one of the reasons I chose
  954. 39:28to show this particular one but by no
  955. 39:31means is this like the only one. So you
  956. 39:35Pat I totally understand. Um I want to
  957. 39:38show you guys one more feature and this
  958. 39:40one is quite frankly jaw-dropping. Um,
  959. 39:43what if you could talk to your podcast
  960. 39:45yourself? Like, what if you didn't have
  961. 39:47to rely on just, hey, I want to just
  962. 39:50listen, but I actually want to talk to
  963. 39:51it. I'm going to try my best. I have no
  964. 39:53guarantee this will work so perfectly,
  965. 39:55but I'll try. Here, I'm going to go into
  966. 39:58I just want to show you how I did it. I
  967. 40:00go to audio audio overview,
  968. 40:03long,
  969. 40:04brief, critique, debate, however you
  970. 40:06want, right?
  971. 40:08But
  972. 40:10when you generate it, you can even have
  973. 40:13the ability to have interactive mode.
  974. 40:16Now, let me turn that on.
  975. 40:17>> Think about the last time.
  976. 40:20>> I'm going to show you all how to do it.
  977. 40:22Don't worry. I just wanted you to see
  978. 40:23how it works first.
  979. 40:26>> So, what's going to happen is there's
  980. 40:28two hosts and they're going to talk to
  981. 40:30each other about my topic and I can
  982. 40:32raise my hand. By the way, I'm talking
  983. 40:34to AI here. I can raise my hand and go,
  984. 40:37"Hey, I'd like to interrupt and ask
  985. 40:39about something and I'm gonna try this
  986. 40:40live. Let's see if the audio picks up
  987. 40:42perfectly."
  988. 40:45>> Think about the last time you bought
  989. 40:46milk. Like, really think about it. Did
  990. 40:49you just stand there staring at the
  991. 40:50carton wondering if your breakfast was,
  992. 40:52you know, single-handedly causing a
  993. 40:54drought in California
  994. 40:55>> or maybe contributing to defor?
  995. 40:58>> I clicked join.
  996. 40:59>> Hey, our listener wants to join in.
  997. 41:01What's up?
  998. 41:02>> Hey, uh, I'm based in Hong Kong. Can you
  999. 41:04like personalize this for me? Or maybe
1000. 41:06can you tell me a little bit more about
1001. 41:08what's happening in Hong Kong? I just
1002. 41:11want to keep it about Hong Kong.
1003. 41:16Let's see if it picks it up. Now,
  1004. 41:19usually it works when I'm not
1005. 41:20>> Oh, you want to focus specifically on
  1006. 41:22Oatley. I love that focus.
1007. 41:23>> Yeah, they really are the main character
  1008. 41:24of this free drama.
  1009. 41:26>> Oh, yeah. Let's hear it.
1010. 41:28>> Uh, can you focus on Hong Kong as a
1011. 41:30country? uh in particular oat in Hong
  1012. 41:33Kong.
  1013. 41:43>> So, I'm going to wait.
1014. 41:43>> Oh, Hong Kong. That is such a sharp
1015. 41:45pivot. Let's unpack the Oatley Hong Kong
  1016. 41:47connection.
  1017. 41:48>> It's actually a brilliant case study of
1018. 41:49how they conquer a major global hub,
1019. 41:52>> right? Because they didn't just dump
1020. 41:53cartons in supermarkets and hope for the
  1021. 41:55best.
1022. 41:55>> No, they went straight for the heart of
  1023. 41:57the city's culture, the local coffee
  1024. 41:59shops. I've seen them everywhere there,
1025. 42:01especially with that massive Starbucks
  1026. 42:02partnership.
1027. 42:03>> Exactly. Plus thousands of independent
  1028. 42:05cafes across the region.
1029. 42:07>> It's like they use the baristas as their
  1030. 42:09secret weapon for
1031. 42:13>> So, as you can see, it's it's pretty
1032. 42:15ridiculous how powerful it is. And those
  1033. 42:17of you who can't see it yet, don't
1034. 42:18worry. I'm going to take you through it
1035. 42:20step by step. Uh let me also make sure I
  1036. 42:22can restart my video so I don't look
1037. 42:24frozen. Hopefully that works and you
1038. 42:27guys can see me again. All right.
  1039. 42:29So, when you start a notebook, I just
1040. 42:32want to take you from scratch, right?
  1041. 42:34Let's say you open notebook.google.com
1042. 42:36and you're like, "Hang on, how do I get
1043. 42:38back here?" I'll take you through step
  1044. 42:40by step. Don't worry. So,
  1045. 42:43while it's loading, you can see it's a
  1046. 42:44little bit slow sometimes. It's fine.
1047. 42:46Just let it be. And I open multiple
1048. 42:49tabs. So, I even have two accounts. This
1049. 42:52account is not my enterprise account.
1050. 42:54And this has a bunch of my notebooks
1051. 42:57like when I'm studying about security or
1052. 42:59my one of the comp ventures that I work
  1053. 43:01with, I'm unpacking information. Um,
1054. 43:05when I talked about Hong Kong just now
1055. 43:07and the audio script, none of this was
1056. 43:10generated prior. It was live. So, they
1057. 43:13just pivoted and Google had information
1058. 43:15from Google. So, it pulled it live in
1059. 43:18that moment and then had those two audio
1060. 43:20hosts jump in. So when you go in, you
1061. 43:24can go into notebooks, my notebooks, or
1062. 43:26you can even discover new notebooks from
1063. 43:28other people that are sharing it. And by
1064. 43:30the way, you can share this with your
1065. 43:32team, your friends, whatever you want.
1066. 43:35Okay, so I want to cycle back. When you
  1067. 43:36open your notebook,
1068. 43:39you just go into the one there.
1069. 43:42And let's say I go into this, which was
  1070. 43:45the same thing here.
1071. 43:50Mind you, this looks just like chat GPT
1072. 43:52and so on. And then on the right
  1073. 43:55audio,
1074. 43:57I'm going to go nice and slow, so tell
1075. 43:59me if I'm going too fast. Okay,
1076. 44:02so I want you to pick deep dive. If you
1077. 44:05want the one where you can talk to the
1078. 44:07host and interact, deep dive is the only
  1079. 44:10one because that is a lively
1080. 44:11conversation between two hosts unpacking
1081. 44:13it. I find this such a pleasant way to
  1082. 44:16learn about a topic. Like I was actually
1083. 44:18learning deep like mathematical topics
1084. 44:20or whatever I wanted even down to like a
1085. 44:22TV show. I just wanted to talk about
1086. 44:23game of the new house of dragon episode
1087. 44:25and I just did a deep dive for the for
1088. 44:27the sake of it and it was really fun to
1089. 44:29be able to do that and you can go long
1090. 44:31short for those of you who are already
  1091. 44:33saying it's long. Remember when you
1092. 44:35click on that long button it takes time.
1093. 44:37So walk away or just close it. You can
1094. 44:39come back to it later. You can even turn
  1095. 44:41on notifications so it'll notify you
1096. 44:43when it's ready and you can crack on
  1097. 44:44with other work.
1098. 44:47And you can see generate later. So
1099. 44:49doesn't use your limit cheaper and is
1100. 44:51ready in a few hours. Generate now will
1101. 44:53use some of my limit. Every month I get
1102. 44:57to use certain limits on my personal
  1103. 44:59account. It's only because I bought
1104. 45:01Google Drive storage. So that kind of
1105. 45:03included as bumped me up to pro. So if
  1106. 45:06you don't pay for anything Google,
1107. 45:08you'll be on the free tier on Gmail and
1108. 45:10that will just have a limited less
  1109. 45:11amount of information. So
1110. 45:15right now um the I I will come back to
1111. 45:20what I'm talking about in notebook how
1112. 45:21it relates to the bigger picture in a
1113. 45:23second. I am showing you uh all these
1114. 45:26features on notebook. But by the way as
1115. 45:28a developer I can actually build all of
  1116. 45:31these myself
  1117. 45:33so I can I'll let me zoom out in a
1118. 45:35second here. So, just so everyone is
1119. 45:37comfortable, can can you guys take a few
  1120. 45:40minutes? Um, I'll give you guys 3 4
1121. 45:41minutes. Just try it and maybe jump in
1122. 45:44the chat if you have any questions or
  1123. 45:45unpack more and I'll go I can show you a
1124. 45:48little bit more of what you really want
1125. 45:50to understand behind why I'm showing you
1126. 45:52this. So, hopefully you all can see my
  1127. 45:55screen again.
  1128. 45:57Now,
1129. 45:59when we start a notebook, you can now
1130. 46:01start seeing how research any topic
  1131. 46:04works. I missed one feature I really
1132. 46:06want to show you. When you open a new
  1133. 46:08notebook,
1134. 46:10you can add sources by [clears throat]
1135. 46:12just searching the web. So, I can say
1136. 46:15oak milk Hong Kong cuz I'm sitting in
1137. 46:19Hong Kong right now. Boom. It's now
1138. 46:22going to research websites from Google,
1139. 46:24pull me a list of links that are high
1140. 46:26authority, and then you can just inject
1141. 46:28that back in. So, I hope that that also
  1142. 46:31alleviates a lot of pressure when you're
1143. 46:33like, "Oh man, I got to think of all the
1144. 46:34links. Where am I supposed to find
1145. 46:36this?" One of you earlier asked a
1146. 46:38fantastic question. Where do you come up
  1147. 46:39with these six? I actually picked
  1148. 46:41handpicked these, but I can actually
1149. 46:44just bump them in and import them all.
1150. 46:47Now, my notebook has a massive list of
1151. 46:51information. Um, yes, you can stop it.
1152. 46:54Uh, it's on the right hand side. So,
1153. 46:56we've already started it. Let me just
1154. 46:58jump into one to show you if I can. Uh
1155. 47:03if you go into a notebook on the right
1156. 47:05or just close the tab, you can simply
1157. 47:07close it. It will kill the audio
1158. 47:08summary. Uh for those of you who don't
1159. 47:11like sitting in front of a computer to
1160. 47:13listen to all this, you can actually
1161. 47:14download the content, download the
1162. 47:16infographics directly with the download
1163. 47:18button, or you can rightclick and copy
  1164. 47:20it for the images.
1165. 47:24any authentic marking for links that
1166. 47:26makes it easier for this is a hard one.
1167. 47:28I'll be super super honest with you. I
1168. 47:31can never tell you that answer because
1169. 47:33links are basically all websites, right?
1170. 47:35I I have my own website. I can put
1171. 47:37whatever I want in there. So that
1172. 47:40authentication layer, how I deal with it
  1173. 47:42is I actually say
1174. 47:45list all can you guys all see this? I
1175. 47:47hope you can. list all the
  1176. 47:49contradictions
  1177. 47:52that are
  1178. 47:54in my sources.
1179. 47:56I'll just type this back again what I
1180. 47:59typed in. And now watch this. Oops. Keep
  1181. 48:02generating.
1182. 48:05I basically have given him so many
1183. 48:07sources and it's going to now have to
1184. 48:10figure out all the contradictions
1185. 48:11between the information points so I can
  1186. 48:13make an educated decision.
1187. 48:18a mistral and all these other tools. Uh
1188. 48:21please bring me back in for that
  1189. 48:23question later because like I said
  1190. 48:25notebook notebook itself is a Gemini
1191. 48:28product but at the end of the session I
1192. 48:30will be showing you something really
1193. 48:32cool called claude code which uh mistral
1194. 48:35does kind of work with sometimes. So
1195. 48:37we'll come cycle back to that but let me
1196. 48:39show you this right now. I love that all
1197. 48:42of you are like can I use it with my AI
1198. 48:44tool? This is this is so good to see. So
  1199. 48:47here you've got every contradiction.
1200. 48:50Sources disagree on whether oat milk is
1201. 48:52suitable for hot coffee or frothing.
  1202. 48:54Mind you, I'm not a coffee connoisseur.
1203. 48:56I have no idea why I picked this for the
1204. 48:58demo. But I just wanted to share
1205. 49:00something that everyone can kind of
1206. 49:02understand very easily. And this is one
1207. 49:05of the reasons I picked this topic. So
1208. 49:06remember, you can use this for all your
1209. 49:09topics like anything you can think of.
  1210. 49:11So I love that now I can I don't have to
1211. 49:14read all these websites. I can actually
  1212. 49:16have a conversation with the information
1213. 49:18in a way that I would like to speak. So
  1214. 49:22as you can see
  1215. 49:24notebook is a pretty powerful tool,
  1216. 49:26right? It's not just a search box
1217. 49:28anymore. So this is a level up from you
1218. 49:30just moving to moving from a search box.
1219. 49:34Uh one of you asked how do I or where do
1220. 49:36I find references um when you start a
1221. 49:39notebook? Just remember on the left you
1222. 49:41can add sources or you can see this
1223. 49:44little search box. I hope you can see
1224. 49:45that. I'm going to zoom in a tiny bit
1225. 49:47more. So you can see this little search
1226. 49:49box and you can see it connects to web.
1227. 49:51By the way, for those of you who use
1228. 49:53Google Drive, this can also connect to
1229. 49:55Google Drive and it's like wild. It just
1230. 49:58reads all my documents from my Google
1231. 50:00years of Google Drive content and pulls
1232. 50:02it in. And you can even do deep research
1233. 50:04mode if you have that option available.
1234. 50:07And that goes in depth and builds a
1235. 50:09report of all the results. So, it's
  1236. 50:12really powerful.
1237. 50:14Oh, um, for for the person that closed
  1238. 50:18the tab, don't worry, it's actually
1239. 50:20running in the back. So, just go back to
  1240. 50:21notebook.google.com
1241. 50:23and you can open your notebook and
1242. 50:25you'll be back in there. So, everything
1243. 50:27is happening on the server. It's not on
1244. 50:28your computer. So, if you walk away from
  1245. 50:30it, no problem. Um, unfortunately I
1246. 50:34don't have permission to show you all my
1247. 50:36like actual like client work but I can
1248. 50:39talk about it. One of the biggest
1249. 50:40powerful things that I was able to do I
1250. 50:43worked on a big government project and
  1251. 50:45obviously with government project I
1252. 50:46can't upload all the information. So I
1253. 50:48want to make one thing very very clear.
1254. 50:51If you are on the pro version or you're
1255. 50:53on the free tier, technically speaking,
1256. 50:57someone in the Google team could open up
1257. 50:59your content, right? Just like all these
1258. 51:01other AI tools that are out there, every
  1259. 51:03single one of them. Technically, a
1260. 51:04support staff can. In the enterprise
1261. 51:07version or I will show you in a second
1262. 51:09how to turn it off for your personal
1263. 51:11version, you can actually disable that
  1264. 51:14searchability. So, in enterprise, I can
1265. 51:16upload my real content that will never
1266. 51:18go anywhere. And yes, notebook. I did it
1267. 51:22for my profile by the way. I pasted my
  1268. 51:24LinkedIn profile. I pasted topics or
  1269. 51:27articles of other people I like and I
1270. 51:29said I really want to be like this
1271. 51:30person and you know like my mentors and
1272. 51:33so on and it actually built that profile
1273. 51:35for me for those of you trying that. So
1274. 51:37just to cycle back on enterprise
1275. 51:41proposals and briefs it can you can
1276. 51:43upload all of that and then can chat
1277. 51:44with it. One of the hardest things I had
1278. 51:46to do personally was government work or
1279. 51:49big projects like big corporate
1280. 51:51projects. They require so much detail to
1281. 51:54be double checked, triple checked. This
1282. 51:56allowed me to power through all of that.
1283. 51:59Now, yes, uh I I saw that uh paste it
1284. 52:02doesn't use your uploaded sources at
1285. 52:04all. I want to be clear clear how to do
1286. 52:06this. So, everyone just follow me step
1287. 52:08by step here. When you go to Gemini,
1288. 52:11this is your Gemini screen.
  1289. 52:14there's a little settings icon. Okay,
1290. 52:16click on that and then click on
  1291. 52:18activity.
1292. 52:23And in there, you can see I left it on
  1293. 52:25cuz my personal account I really don't
1294. 52:27mind. Uh and and honestly, I I enjoy the
1295. 52:31benefits. So, I'm okay. This is my
  1296. 52:33personal choice. If you're like, "No,
1297. 52:35no, no. I want people to keep my
1298. 52:37information or anything. As soon as I
1299. 52:39use it, I want you to turn it off,
1300. 52:41delete all my activity so you don't
1301. 52:42track everything I'm doing. You can just
1302. 52:44go here. Again, I want to show you step
1303. 52:46by step for those of you who might have
1304. 52:48missed it. You go to It's actually your
1305. 52:51Google activity, right? You can see all
1306. 52:52my Google activity here. Now, if I close
1307. 52:55this, I'm going to go to Gemini again.
1308. 52:57Settings, activity. Okay, so settings,
  1309. 53:02activity.
  1310. 53:04It'll take you to myactivity.google.com.
1311. 53:08And then you can just turn it off. If
1312. 53:11you really feel uncomfortable with it,
1313. 53:13which a lot of people do, turn it off.
1314. 53:15Absolutely turn it off. And all you got
1315. 53:17to do is this. Boom. And a little pop-up
1316. 53:20will appear saying, "Okay, this is what
  1317. 53:23will be the impact." If you're
1318. 53:24comfortable with that, just go got it.
1319. 53:27So for me personally, I choose to keep
  1320. 53:29it because I'm comfortable with it
1321. 53:32personally because then my personal
  1322. 53:33account, I don't mind. But my enterprise
  1323. 53:34stuff
  1324. 53:36absolutely not allowed. Right? So that's
1325. 53:39automatically turned off on enterprise.
1326. 53:41So by enterprise what I mean is Google
1327. 53:43workspace. That means if your company
1328. 53:45uses Gmail for its email address and all
1329. 53:48that you already are an enterprise plan.
1330. 53:50So just note that this is for startups
1331. 53:52and small companies too. Um and yes
1332. 53:55that's uh not authentic websites. No,
1333. 53:57no, no. It'll erase your activity to
1334. 53:59personalize Google on Gemini and stuff
1335. 54:01like that. But notebook still works for
  1336. 54:04authentic websites. That's got nothing
1337. 54:05to do with it. So notebook is a separate
1338. 54:07product. All right. So you can see how
1339. 54:12all of this does actually work. You can
1340. 54:14learn a lot faster. You can research
1341. 54:17anything you want and then prepare
1342. 54:18serious work. Um and yes, someone that
1343. 54:20pasted this, there is open source stuff.
1344. 54:22So I love that too. Definitely try those
  1345. 54:24if you're comfortable touching that kind
  1346. 54:26of technology. So
1347. 54:29I I'm just cautious of time. I want to
1348. 54:31give you guys so much more information.
1349. 54:33I just want to summarize this on plain
1350. 54:35Gemini. Your answer you copy pasted the
1351. 54:39references right in the chat and it was
1352. 54:42able to modify it. But imagine having to
1353. 54:44do that all the time or the worst thing
1354. 54:47something called content pollution. Let
1355. 54:49me show you what I mean by that. Now,
1356. 54:53if I go to my chats, let me pull them up
  1357. 54:56here.
1358. 54:59And you can see my activities is turned
1359. 55:01off. I just turned it off. I'm going to
1360. 55:02turn it back on. I did not mean to do
  1361. 55:04that. Boom.
  1362. 55:08There we go. Now,
1363. 55:10going back to Gemini, I'm going to start
1364. 55:14refresh new chat. Now, what is content
  1365. 55:17pollution? Okay,
  1366. 55:21if I go
  1367. 55:23Oh, I have it here
1368. 55:26for those of you who can read the left
  1369. 55:28side. Yes, I am a nerd and I play video
1370. 55:30games. Very proud of it. So, um here you
1371. 55:35have everything going on great. But now
1372. 55:42I this is a very extreme example. Okay,
1373. 55:45I just told it to talk about cats and
1374. 55:48now my entire chat flow has suddenly got
1375. 55:51corrupted because everything after that
1376. 55:53is still going to think I'm talking
  1377. 55:55about cats
  1378. 55:57and that's a terrible thing that can
  1379. 55:59happen, right? Because now you're stuck.
1380. 56:01There's no rewind feature in in these
1381. 56:04kind of uh products. This is where I
1382. 56:07find notebook becomes an absolute gem.
1383. 56:14So, just want to pause here. Is everyone
1384. 56:16following through on what I mean by
  1385. 56:18that?
1386. 56:22Great question on someone asking, "How
  1387. 56:24do I know notebook didn't hallucinate?"
1388. 56:26It actually you double check everything.
  1389. 56:29By the way, in notebook, it'll have a
1390. 56:31little bubble of the um content that it
1391. 56:35pulled from and it will highlight it,
1392. 56:36but you can click it and read it again.
1393. 56:39Does that make sense? So it'll uh open
1394. 56:42studio. Yeah, sure. No problem. I'll do
1395. 56:43that really quick. So if you go into a
  1396. 56:45notebook, it'll open like this. And
1397. 56:48studio is on the right hand side.
1398. 56:51That little thing here. So I hope you
1399. 56:53can actually have it open. And just
1400. 56:56remember every time having things
1401. 56:59repetitive in Gemini, that was the
  1402. 57:01problem I found quite a lot. And
1403. 57:03notebook solved one part of this
  1404. 57:05problem.
1405. 57:07Right? But now I've got this amazing
1406. 57:09tool, can build products, it can build
1407. 57:10graphics, help me with my presentations,
  1408. 57:13research,
1409. 57:15and you you have now all hopefully tried
1410. 57:18it. Um, mind you, after this, I do have
  1411. 57:21some takeaways and links, so I'll we'll
1412. 57:22make sure the team will make sure you
1413. 57:24all have that information. Um, for those
1414. 57:26of you asking information getting mixed
1415. 57:29up, yes, that's exactly my point with
1416. 57:31normal Gemini. So any chat GPT or
1417. 57:34prompt, you keep that window open. You
1418. 57:36keep coming back to it. But if you make
  1419. 57:37one mistake, you're now not sure if it's
1420. 57:40skewed your information forever. And
1421. 57:42that's a big problem, right? With these,
1422. 57:44you control the sources. You can turn
  1423. 57:46off a source in notebook. So that's
1424. 57:48really powerful as well. And the key
  1425. 57:52word here is citation.
1426. 57:54That's the one you want to pay attention
1427. 57:56to. So ask real questions, click through
1428. 57:59the citation, and actually decide by
1429. 58:01yourself, does this citation make sense
  1430. 58:04for me?
1431. 58:06Okay. And for me, in my opinion, this
1432. 58:09one habit is a difference between using
1433. 58:11AI and being used by it. Because
1434. 58:12tomorrow, if AI just decided to send me
1435. 58:15information the way it wants, like the
  1436. 58:18model changes, I can't control that. But
1437. 58:20with these kind of structures, you can.
1438. 58:23Now, what do I mean mean by structure? I
1439. 58:26love how all of you are going, "Wait,
1440. 58:28but notebooks owned by Google. How do we
1441. 58:30trust it? Is the information legit?" Now
1442. 58:34when you start doing this yourself, I
1443. 58:35want you to try three things, right? The
1444. 58:37first thing is you just load the
1445. 58:39sources, click auto view, you can
1446. 58:41citation fact check yourself from the
1447. 58:43links you gave it or the books you gave
1448. 58:44it or PDFs. Right? Now, one thing I
1449. 58:48would love for all of you who are
1450. 58:49following me on this with the hotel
1451. 58:51example, you can actually ask it to
  1452. 58:54write you a 200word position summary for
1453. 58:57the launch. Recommend one lead angle.
1454. 59:00Cite the source for every claim and note
1455. 59:03explicitly where the sources conflict.
1456. 59:05I'm going to paste that in the chat. I
1457. 59:07know you guys can't uh easily copy paste
1458. 59:10from the chat for some reason. So, I'm
1459. 59:11going to put it in Slack as well.
1460. 59:14Apologies, the Slack is with no context.
1461. 59:17I'm just pasting it really quickly. So,
1462. 59:19hopefully you can copy that. Now, why do
1463. 59:21I want you to do this? Let me take you
  1464. 59:23through this.
1465. 59:25I've added a whole bunch of sources.
1466. 59:26Your answers might look different. It
1467. 59:28does not matter. I just want to show you
1468. 59:30how to do this. Now remember, write a
  1469. 59:34200word positioning summary. I have
  1470. 59:36given it a task
1471. 59:39forello's launch. Told it the context.
1472. 59:42Recommend one lead angle. Site the
  1473. 59:44search. I'm now harnessing. I'm kind of
  1474. 59:46creating a a a structure around how I
  1475. 59:48want it to give me the answer. Uh I I I
1476. 59:52hope you guys can see it. I just pasted
1477. 59:54on the chat. Oh, no wait. I'll paste it
1478. 59:56again. There we go. I was pasting it to
1479. 59:58the panel. There you go. Hopefully
1480. 1:00:00everyone can see it. Thank you so much.
  1481. 1:00:03Uh, now let's run this. Now, when you're
  1482. 1:00:06doing the chat, it's a lot faster than
1483. 1:00:08generating obviously an entire podcast,
1484. 1:00:11right? So, have a look at what it
1485. 1:00:13produced for me. And once it does this
1486. 1:00:16for you, you don't have to rush this.
1487. 1:00:17You can do it in 10 20 minutes. But the
1488. 1:00:19idea here is I want you to keep that
1489. 1:00:21open, okay? or if you close it by
1490. 1:00:23mistake, go back to notebook and it'll
1491. 1:00:25be still there. That's one of my
  1492. 1:00:26favorite parts. It's like literally
1493. 1:00:28there at all times, your entire history.
1494. 1:00:31So, this is fantastic. It's created an
1495. 1:00:33entire barista grade taste and
1496. 1:00:35performance game plan for me to launch
  1497. 1:00:38my entire brand.
1498. 1:00:40Okay. Now, by the way, for those of you
1499. 1:00:43who have time and want to really jump
1500. 1:00:45into this later today, an advanced tool
1501. 1:00:47for you would be to try the critique. It
  1502. 1:00:50actually challenges your thinking. And I
  1503. 1:00:52do this a lot when I'm brainstorming new
1504. 1:00:54ideas for any of my ventures.
1505. 1:00:58But here's a magic trick. If any of you
1506. 1:01:01in the chat have heard of the term rag,
1507. 1:01:05RA ag, you have basically just learned
  1508. 1:01:08the fundamentals of rag. I just used a
1509. 1:01:10tool called notebook uh sorry, Google
1510. 1:01:12notebook or Gemini notebook. But yes,
  1511. 1:01:15you're basically learning something
  1512. 1:01:16called retrieval augmented generation.
1513. 1:01:19Now, if you think about what those words
  1514. 1:01:21mean, you're basically retrieving it and
1515. 1:01:24taking your AI generated stuff and
1516. 1:01:26augmenting it on top. So, this is
  1517. 1:01:28effectively a rag. You're creating kind
1518. 1:01:32of like a private knowledge base on top
1519. 1:01:34of all these big foundation models like
1520. 1:01:36Chat GBT, Claude, Gemini, and so on.
1521. 1:01:40This is the difference where a lot of
1522. 1:01:42enterprise companies for those of you
1523. 1:01:43who work in that spaces as well are
  1524. 1:01:45actually building their private
1525. 1:01:46knowledge base on top of these models
1526. 1:01:49and not having to worry about hosting
1527. 1:01:51everything themselves. So rag full form
1528. 1:01:54is listed on the screen here and I'll
  1529. 1:01:56highlight it. Retrieval augmented
  1530. 1:01:59generation that's what it stands for
1531. 1:02:02and for us the term that I want you to
1532. 1:02:06really think about is grounding all your
1533. 1:02:08answers. So everything needs to be
1534. 1:02:10grounded with real facts. And that's for
  1535. 1:02:12me a really important thing I wanted to
1536. 1:02:14part ways and knowledge with is because
1537. 1:02:17tomorrow you could be hiring someone to
1538. 1:02:19build or you could be you could be the
1539. 1:02:21one building it or you could be working
1540. 1:02:23with someone building AI products. You
1541. 1:02:26want to start asking what sources does
1542. 1:02:28it have? How was it retrieved? Are the
1543. 1:02:30answers cited? So really remember that.
1544. 1:02:33Okay. Yes. Exactly. Dimple. The six
1545. 1:02:36sources were rag. That was your little
1546. 1:02:37rag that you built. Now, in real world,
1547. 1:02:40we have thousands of documents that
1548. 1:02:42could represent a rag. So, um, yes,
1549. 1:02:46Gemini is my thought partner a lot of
1550. 1:02:48the times for creative ideas, 100% of
1551. 1:02:52the time. Um, down to the point where I
  1552. 1:02:54think people in my house think I'm a
1553. 1:02:56little bit weird cuz I talk to my phone
1554. 1:02:58a lot. Uh, that is because I'm talking
  1555. 1:03:00to Gemini.
1556. 1:03:02So I want to give you guys a five minute
  1557. 1:03:06break. Um I'm cautious that it is 5:15
  1558. 1:03:09now. We've got about 40 odd minutes to
1559. 1:03:12go through and I will give you guys a
  1560. 1:03:13quick five-minute break to ask question.
1561. 1:03:15We can shorten this five minute if
1562. 1:03:17everyone in the chat is like let's keep
1563. 1:03:19going. But what I just wanted to remind
1564. 1:03:22you is that positioning summary that you
  1565. 1:03:25had here the create a positioning
  1566. 1:03:28summary for my brand. If you're
1567. 1:03:30following me, you can say hello and we
1568. 1:03:33will be using that in the next thing
1569. 1:03:34that I teach you. All right, looks like
1570. 1:03:38a lot of people are interested in keep
  1571. 1:03:39going. I love it. Let's go.
1572. 1:03:43The next thing, a lot of people
1573. 1:03:47may not have heard this one. So, if you
1574. 1:03:49have, let me know in the chat, of
1575. 1:03:51course. But have you heard of Gemini
1576. 1:03:53Gems? So a lot of people nowadays tell
1577. 1:03:55you, "Oh, you can build your own AI
1578. 1:03:57agent." Uh, bio break. Absolutely. Go.
1579. 1:04:00I'm going to go very slow to start with.
1580. 1:04:03So I'll give you guys couple minutes.
  1581. 1:04:05Don't worry. Um, I'll just have a longer
  1582. 1:04:08conversation about gems. So you don't
1583. 1:04:10you won't miss anything much. But gems
1584. 1:04:13is basically you have all your research
1585. 1:04:15in notebook. But every time you start a
  1586. 1:04:18conversation, let's say I wanted to do a
1587. 1:04:20task. Why do I have to keep typing in
  1588. 1:04:22information? Like, let's say if I wanted
  1589. 1:04:25to edit a photo every single time I
1590. 1:04:27upload a photo, I got to type the whole
1591. 1:04:28prompt. I got to type all the
  1592. 1:04:30information. It's a lot. So, gems might
1593. 1:04:34be your solution here. I do see some
1594. 1:04:36people do want the break. Let's give you
  1595. 1:04:38guys just a couple minutes break.
  1596. 1:04:40Absolutely. It's been a long session so
1597. 1:04:42far. So, let's just pause and I will be
1598. 1:04:46back in two minutes. For those of you in
1599. 1:04:49the chat that want to start asking me
1600. 1:04:51questions, great time. I'm going to keep
  1601. 1:04:53going. I don't need a break. So, keep
1602. 1:04:54going with me. Gems are equivalent of
1603. 1:04:58GPTs or cloud project. No. So, Sandra,
1604. 1:05:00to your point there, gems, when I show
1605. 1:05:03it to you, they're very much like
1606. 1:05:05building a mini agent inside Gemini. And
1607. 1:05:07I'll show you how that works. So, I'm
1608. 1:05:10going to Yep. Go get your coffees. Don't
1609. 1:05:12worry. I'll start back in three minutes.
1610. 1:05:14Okay. So, three more minutes.
  1611. 1:05:17um I am not uploading sensitive
  1612. 1:05:19government information to AI because I
1613. 1:05:22can't it's illegal for me to do that.
1614. 1:05:23Right? So when I'm working on government
1615. 1:05:25projects, we actually have um a local
  1616. 1:05:28model running on a machine that I
  1617. 1:05:30control. So a physical machine, I bring
1618. 1:05:32my own AI to it and it can read it by
  1619. 1:05:35itself. So I'm also a developer and a
1620. 1:05:38CTO by trade. So a lot of the technical
  1621. 1:05:41stuff I spend a lot of time building
1622. 1:05:43that myself. So, I hope that answers
1623. 1:05:45your question in terms of how I upload
1624. 1:05:46it. But to be quite frank, the
  1625. 1:05:50enterprise solutions technically and
1626. 1:05:52legally speaking are not meant to be a
1627. 1:05:54even a Google employee is not allowed to
1628. 1:05:56see your content even in a debugging
1629. 1:05:58situation. So, they do allow it, but I
1630. 1:06:01would double check with your team if
1631. 1:06:03they're comfortable with it. Some of my
1632. 1:06:05clients are very comfortable with it.
1633. 1:06:07Some of them are very like, "No way. We
1634. 1:06:09work with the company. We ain't touching
1635. 1:06:11any of that. Let's buy our own servers."
  1636. 1:06:13But it's expensive, you know. That's the
  1637. 1:06:15that's the trade-off.
  1638. 1:06:17Um,
1639. 1:06:20cool. I can see some of you. I'm just
  1640. 1:06:22going through the chat. I apologize. I'm
  1641. 1:06:23going as fast as I can.
1642. 1:06:27So, some Mario you asked, do Gemini
1643. 1:06:29notebook answers are not limited to the
1644. 1:06:31source you provided? No, actually Gemini
1645. 1:06:33notebook the entire point of notebook is
1646. 1:06:35it grounds it to the uh source that we
1647. 1:06:37provide. So, it becomes like a rag. So,
1648. 1:06:39when you work with a rag, you kind of
1649. 1:06:41force it. You could in theory ask it to
1650. 1:06:44go online and check things but it's not
1651. 1:06:46how you use notebook and you kind of
1652. 1:06:49destroy the purpose of it. So personally
1653. 1:06:51I would use notebook purely for that rag
1654. 1:06:54situation where I need to like kind of
1655. 1:06:56ground truth and do my research build my
1656. 1:06:58presentations or double check my own
1657. 1:07:00proposals that did I did I meet all the
  1658. 1:07:03requirements for me that's a big deal
  1659. 1:07:05especially when you're uploading things
  1660. 1:07:06for like you know massive 30-page
  1661. 1:07:08documents. legal considerations. Great
1662. 1:07:11question, Robert. Like I think there are
1663. 1:07:13legal situ considerations to do this. So
  1664. 1:07:16when you're using this for personal,
  1665. 1:07:17that's why I always I put a disclaimer
  1666. 1:07:19throughout the slides and I'll mention
  1667. 1:07:21this again.
1668. 1:07:24I use it for personal on my personal
  1669. 1:07:26account. For my enterprise account, I
1670. 1:07:27use the enterprise version. So to be
1671. 1:07:30very clear, if legal says no, I will not
1672. 1:07:33do it. There's just no way to do that.
1673. 1:07:35So there are legal considerations of it
1674. 1:07:37because some people are not comfortable.
1675. 1:07:39But are are we doing the best to protect
1676. 1:07:41it and are there ways to do it
  1677. 1:07:43completely like unplugged? Yes.
1678. 1:07:47I might not be able to cover it in two
1679. 1:07:49hours, but yes, there are ways you can
1680. 1:07:50completely run this offline. Some
1681. 1:07:52someone in the chat earlier mentioned
1682. 1:07:54the open source version. You would
  1683. 1:07:56install that as a technical person.
1684. 1:07:58Cleaning emails. Yes, Dimple. That is
1685. 1:08:01kind of where we're going to go with
1686. 1:08:02gems. One of the gems that I will talk
1687. 1:08:04about. Yes, you can. Uh, Benedict, you
1688. 1:08:06can do that on phones, too. Lewis, can I
1689. 1:08:08make my Yeah, unlearn. Yes, by the way,
1690. 1:08:10um, notebook has a feature and sources.
1691. 1:08:13You can just uncheck the source and then
1692. 1:08:15the notebook will forget it existed. So,
1693. 1:08:17that's a super cool feature. Uh, all
  1694. 1:08:19right, everyone. I'm going to start
1695. 1:08:21ramping back on. So, I'll give you guys
1696. 1:08:23just a few more seconds to set up.
1697. 1:08:27I'll try to answer as many as I can.
  1698. 1:08:30And remember, anything I don't answer
1699. 1:08:32today for you, jump on Slack and from
  1700. 1:08:35tomorrow onwards, I'm going to be
1701. 1:08:36answering everything in many details. No
  1702. 1:08:38problem.
1703. 1:08:40Okay, everyone, welcome back. We are
1704. 1:08:43going to now cover Gemini gems. So, what
  1705. 1:08:46is gems? Let's have a quick peek.
1706. 1:08:49Every single time I work with AI, if I'm
1707. 1:08:51using like those, you know, chat prompts
  1708. 1:08:53windows, I'm constantly telling it every
1709. 1:08:56time, hey, by the way, this is my thing.
1710. 1:08:58This is my thing. I use deepseek for
1711. 1:08:59example and every time I have to remind
  1712. 1:09:01it I can't read Chinese yet please can
1713. 1:09:03you go English and it keeps forgetting
1714. 1:09:05it doesn't have that memory for me right
1715. 1:09:07and Gemini and Google to be fair has a
1716. 1:09:10feature where it lets you
  1717. 1:09:11cross-pollinate information which means
1718. 1:09:14remember my things but it doesn't work
1719. 1:09:16that well so what exactly is gem the
1720. 1:09:20best way for me to show you a gem is to
1721. 1:09:23just show you it working first okay I'm
1722. 1:09:25going to take something very personal to
1723. 1:09:27me and use that as an example example.
1724. 1:09:30So, where is gems? You can see I've got
1725. 1:09:33a little gems button here in my Gemini.
1726. 1:09:35You will probably not if you have never
1727. 1:09:37had gems. You have to go to the
1728. 1:09:39settings. So, I want everyone to do this
  1729. 1:09:41with me. Settings.
1730. 1:09:44Gems. It looks like a little diamond.
1731. 1:09:46So, make sure in the chat you guys are
1732. 1:09:49able to find it. I hope you are. And
1733. 1:09:51yes, thank you for the person that
1734. 1:09:53posted the gems link. That is exactly
1735. 1:09:55the link you can go to as well. Um, now
  1736. 1:09:58what is gems? It's like a mini agent.
1737. 1:10:01You've heard of I want to build an
1738. 1:10:03agent. I want to build an agent. What is
1739. 1:10:05an agent? Right? An agent is an isolated
1740. 1:10:09little AI that has its own prompt, has
1741. 1:10:11its own rules, and it will live on that
  1742. 1:10:14forever. Okay, I'm going to show you a
1743. 1:10:17very simple one that I use quite often.
1744. 1:10:20I called it I call it the photo editor.
  1745. 1:10:22Okay, I come in.
1746. 1:10:25It goes edit. By the way, I wrote very
1747. 1:10:28little information cuz I use it all the
1748. 1:10:29time. And I'm going to go ahead right
1749. 1:10:32now and upload a photo of me and my
  1750. 1:10:34daughter.
  1751. 1:10:38Bear with me.
  1752. 1:10:41Okay, there's I don't know if you guys
1753. 1:10:43can see the picture very clearly, but
  1754. 1:10:44you will. Don't worry. And I don't need
1755. 1:10:47to type anything anymore. No prompt,
1756. 1:10:49nothing. Just send. Okay. Nothing else
1757. 1:10:53was done. I Oh, by the way, yes, Hana, I
1758. 1:10:56will totally be showing you. I'm just
1759. 1:10:57showing you first what it what it does
1760. 1:10:59for me and then I'll reverse back into
1761. 1:11:01how you build it step by step. So,
1762. 1:11:04you'll be learning everything step by
  1763. 1:11:05step.
1764. 1:11:07And check this out. All I did was dump a
1765. 1:11:09photo in and it took a photo that was
1766. 1:11:12kind of like, you know, a little mildly
  1767. 1:11:14untouched
1768. 1:11:15and bang. Uh what gives me a bond to be
  1769. 1:11:19quite honest
1770. 1:11:21information that needs to be pulled from
1771. 1:11:23my information is available everywhere
1772. 1:11:25like school photos and all that stuff.
1773. 1:11:28That's my personal opinion and I will
1774. 1:11:30totally have a coffee with anyone that
1775. 1:11:32wants to unpack that with me and there's
1776. 1:11:33an entire session on session three about
1777. 1:11:36ethics. So I will save it for that.
1778. 1:11:39Totally understand. But I just want to
1779. 1:11:41show you what it did first. It I
  1780. 1:11:44uploaded a picture. No prompt, nothing.
1781. 1:11:47I just activated a gem and cleaned up
1782. 1:11:49the pictures for me. This is me and my
1783. 1:11:52daughter. Okay, mind you, yes, I am very
1784. 1:11:55comfortable with sharing that. Um, so
1785. 1:11:59what does gem actually mean? How do you
1786. 1:12:02use it? Let's try building it together.
  1787. 1:12:05Right? Unlike notebook, I didn't have to
1788. 1:12:08train it on knowledge always, right? So
1789. 1:12:11the best way to learn gems, let's build
1790. 1:12:13one. So again, I want to show you how to
1791. 1:12:16get there. If you don't have the gems
1792. 1:12:18button on the left, go slowly to
1793. 1:12:20settings and you will see a gems
  1794. 1:12:23section.
1795. 1:12:25Okay, so I'm going to go gems
1796. 1:12:28and then you will see some that are made
1797. 1:12:31by Google for you. A recipe genie, which
1798. 1:12:33is kind of cool, by the way. Um, but
1799. 1:12:36we're going to go new gem. So I want
1800. 1:12:38everyone to just click new gem.
1801. 1:12:43I love that example by the way. That is
1802. 1:12:46so good. Uh I have a gem for my uh
1803. 1:12:49fitness coach as well. So what is gem?
1804. 1:12:51I'm going to zoom in a bit so you all
1805. 1:12:53can see. I hope you can see it clearly.
1806. 1:12:55Yes. Sorry about that. I totally noticed
1807. 1:12:56it was zoomed out. Now I'm going to give
  1808. 1:12:59it a name. Let's do let's remake the one
  1809. 1:13:01that I made just now where I uploaded a
1810. 1:13:03photo. Except I'm going to do something
1811. 1:13:05really cool. A lot of you probably have
1812. 1:13:06done this before. Have you ever needed
1813. 1:13:08to remove the background from a logo?
1814. 1:13:11like hundreds of times and nobody wants
1815. 1:13:13to open Photoshop to do it and then
1816. 1:13:15you're like, "Oh crap, I need to send it
1817. 1:13:16to print." So, it needs to be a big ed
1818. 1:13:20file. I'm going to show you how to do
1819. 1:13:21that in one click. Not even a click,
  1820. 1:13:23just upload. So,
1821. 1:13:26print ready photo. Mind you, I'm making
1822. 1:13:29this up on the spot. So, I will be copy
1823. 1:13:31pasting what I can type as fast as I
1824. 1:13:34can. Uh, print ready my logo file, my
1825. 1:13:39stuff. Okay, you can type whatever you
1826. 1:13:41want. This is my personal. You can be
1827. 1:13:43quite verbose. What I mean by that is
1828. 1:13:45you can type more details so you don't
1829. 1:13:46forget what it's for. Okay, now this is
1830. 1:13:50how it works. I'm too lazy to type this.
1831. 1:13:54So I'm going to first start with basic
  1832. 1:13:56stuff saying
1833. 1:13:59now remember this rule. The user will
1834. 1:14:03Okay, the user will The user will
1835. 1:14:05remember that the user will
  1836. 1:14:08upload
  1837. 1:14:11photos.
1838. 1:14:13This tells Gemini to make sure the plus
1839. 1:14:16button is there in my skill cuz it will
1840. 1:14:18customize. You can see on the right,
1841. 1:14:20it's building my little free gem. Uh
1842. 1:14:23gems are free by the way. They have
1843. 1:14:24limited use for free tier and you can
1844. 1:14:26use it as much as your uh allowances.
1845. 1:14:29And uh I will share later on on how to
1846. 1:14:32track that. Uh but let's go with
1847. 1:14:34actually building it uh first. Now, by
  1848. 1:14:36the way, like I said, I'm super lazy.
1849. 1:14:39I'm just going to type bullet points.
  1850. 1:14:41Okay. So, remove background.
  1851. 1:14:44Make high-res.
1852. 1:14:48For those of you who have ever done
  1853. 1:14:50print work, this is a godsend.
1854. 1:14:53300 dpi. So, even if I upload a tiny
1855. 1:14:56picture, it can upscale the photo for
1856. 1:14:58me, make it 300 dpi, remove the
1857. 1:15:00background, all of it. Okay? And then
1858. 1:15:03I'm going to tell Gemini to rewrite
1859. 1:15:05everything I wrote to make it more
  1860. 1:15:06verbose. Let's see what it does. I need
1861. 1:15:08to read it. Always read what it does for
  1862. 1:15:10you, okay? Don't just hit okay. So, I
1863. 1:15:12clicked on that magic button here. You
1864. 1:15:14will have that too. And look,
1865. 1:15:18act as a print ready photo, expert AI
1866. 1:15:20assistant, purpose and goals, assisted
1867. 1:15:22users, blah blah blah blah blah. Now it
1868. 1:15:24can write whatever it wants but and it
1869. 1:15:27even gave it a tone. Very nice. Except
1870. 1:15:31do not talk, just do
  1871. 1:15:35the work.
  1872. 1:15:38User upload image. I speak like a
  1873. 1:15:41caveman because I'm saving tokens. I'm
1874. 1:15:45used to doing that. User upload image.
  1875. 1:15:49You clean and upscale.
1876. 1:15:54send back. Okay, you could not get more
1877. 1:15:58clear than that. Right. So,
  1878. 1:16:02um
1879. 1:16:03I see some of you having an issue. I'll
1880. 1:16:05come back to you on that. Do not worry.
1881. 1:16:06Let me just finish this. Now, in this
1882. 1:16:09the default tool in this scenario, I
1883. 1:16:12needed to do something. So, look at all
1884. 1:16:15the things. I want you to look at all
1885. 1:16:16the things it can do. It can create
1886. 1:16:18images. It can make videos. To be honest
1887. 1:16:20with you, the videos are not great, but
1888. 1:16:21they are good for fun. Create music,
  1889. 1:16:24which is a new thing.
  1890. 1:16:27Not something I use a lot, but if you're
  1891. 1:16:29into that space, it's really cool.
1892. 1:16:32Canvas, it actually can produce HTML
1893. 1:16:35files. It can produce presentations,
1894. 1:16:37stuff like that. Deep research or guided
1895. 1:16:39learning. Okay, you can try it in your
1896. 1:16:42own free time. There's so many out
  1897. 1:16:43there. I'm going to create image. That's
1898. 1:16:46it. All right. Leave the knowledge thing
  1899. 1:16:49empty for now.
  1900. 1:16:52Just hit save.
1901. 1:16:58You'll see gem is created.
  1902. 1:17:00Start chat.
1903. 1:17:04Okay. Now you get a chat with my gem. Uh
1904. 1:17:07yes, canvas for powerpoints for those
1905. 1:17:09the the question there. Now check this
1906. 1:17:11out. I'm going to I told you to remove
1907. 1:17:14the background. So you know what? Let's
1908. 1:17:16just for fun upload the same picture of
1909. 1:17:18my daughter again and see what it does
  1910. 1:17:20this time.
1911. 1:17:28All right, bear with me.
  1912. 1:17:31Not what I wanted. It's now talking too
1913. 1:17:34much. Not cool. How do I fix this? I
1914. 1:17:37wanted to show you this because I
1915. 1:17:38experienced this so many times when I
1916. 1:17:40first started. It was annoying. So now
1917. 1:17:42what you do is it didn't work do what I
1918. 1:17:44want which is not great. I go back to
  1919. 1:17:46gems.
  1920. 1:17:50Okay.
  1921. 1:17:51And then I'm going to scroll down. I'm
1922. 1:17:54going to go to print ready photo.
  1923. 1:17:56Click edit.
1924. 1:17:58It is because I clicked that magic
1925. 1:18:00button that filled in all this other
  1926. 1:18:02junk.
1927. 1:18:04I'm going to just delete everything
  1928. 1:18:06here.
1929. 1:18:08Okay. And I'm going to retype this.
1930. 1:18:12User will, this is why I hate the extra
1931. 1:18:15gibberish it adds. Just be blunt and be
1932. 1:18:18bullet form in this. User will upload
  1933. 1:18:21photo.
  1934. 1:18:23You must
  1935. 1:18:25remove the background,
1936. 1:18:28upscale the image, ready for print.
  1937. 1:18:31Okay, now I don't want to keep going
1938. 1:18:34update back and forth. The the demo here
1939. 1:18:36is perfectly ready. So, I can just
1940. 1:18:38quickly click that. Make sure you click
1941. 1:18:40away. You'll see it spins. And then the
1942. 1:18:43new version is ready. Okay. Test it
1943. 1:18:45before you hit update. So, let's test it
1944. 1:18:48right here. I'm going to upload the same
  1945. 1:18:49photo again. Again.
  1946. 1:18:56Okay. I don't want to say anything. I
1947. 1:18:58want you to just do the work. Let's see
  1948. 1:18:59if it does it.
1949. 1:19:01See, now it's failing. So now what do I
1950. 1:19:04do here is if I show you the example. By
1951. 1:19:07the way I will be sharing these examples
1952. 1:19:09in a full PDF with you. So don't worry
1953. 1:19:11about copy pasting too much. Let's go to
1954. 1:19:14the photo editor. How come my photo
  1955. 1:19:15editor worked so perfectly?
1956. 1:19:18Now I'm going to paste this in the chat
1957. 1:19:20and I'm going to paste this in
1958. 1:19:25Slack for everyone so they can try it
  1959. 1:19:28themselves.
  1960. 1:19:32Boom.
1961. 1:19:34Okay. Now, what I did here was edit and
  1962. 1:19:37clean up photos.
1963. 1:19:39Act as a professional photo editor and
1964. 1:19:41digital image enhancement expert. Do not
1965. 1:19:43say so this is going to sound crazy. I
1966. 1:19:46literally just told it don't say that
1967. 1:19:48you can't do it. And it started working
1968. 1:19:50perfectly. Sounds weird, but it's not my
  1969. 1:19:53AI model, right? I'm using Gemini, so I
1970. 1:19:56need to work with what it can or cannot
1971. 1:19:58do and how it works. So I modified it
1972. 1:20:01and I said do not say you cannot
  1973. 1:20:02directly manipulate image files. I
  1974. 1:20:04spelled images wrong. I apologize.
1975. 1:20:07Images image files and generate a new
1976. 1:20:10image based on the one uploaded. Purpose
1977. 1:20:12and goal take any image enhance it. I
1978. 1:20:14can also add here. By the way I told it
1979. 1:20:16to make it ready for IG but you can say
  1980. 1:20:19remove the background.
  1981. 1:20:23Okay. And if you're wondering why I said
  1982. 1:20:26the artifact thing, sometimes there's
1983. 1:20:28some noise in the picture. It can remove
1984. 1:20:30that, too. Um, by the way, for those of
  1985. 1:20:33you wondering, I had a situation with a
1986. 1:20:35client that was really rough. They lost
1987. 1:20:37a really important image for their
1988. 1:20:40company and they only had a small
1989. 1:20:42version. They actually used Gemini to
1990. 1:20:44upscale it back to a point where they
1991. 1:20:46could print it on a wall. So, you can
1992. 1:20:48actually upsca upscale these. Yes. Uh,
1993. 1:20:51Benedict, you don't need to prompt it
1994. 1:20:52again and again. You prompt it once and
1995. 1:20:55what's crazy is you can share it with
1996. 1:20:58your friends and family or your
1997. 1:21:01colleagues. So pe other people can use
1998. 1:21:04this. So let me just go same picture
1999. 1:21:07again. Bear with me. I apologize. My
2000. 1:21:09video keeps freezing. I'm not sure why
2001. 1:21:11on the chat uh I mean on my face but
2002. 1:21:14it's okay. You guys are screen sharing
2003. 1:21:16so that's more important. Uh yes uh the
  2004. 1:21:19session should be recorded.
2005. 1:21:26So, check this out. Now, let's see.
2006. 1:21:28Because I never told it to remove the
  2007. 1:21:30background until I'm doing this live,
2008. 1:21:31which is always fun thing to do. Boom.
  2009. 1:21:34Okay, change the background. I didn't
2010. 1:21:35perfectly do it. I need to modify the
2011. 1:21:37prompt, but no context, nothing. It
2012. 1:21:40activates the prompt anytime someone
2013. 1:21:41just goes in and throws an image. So,
2014. 1:21:44how do you then take this and use it in
2015. 1:21:47your real business scenario? So, for for
2016. 1:21:49those of you in the chat, just let me
2017. 1:21:51know. Did you kind of understand how
2018. 1:21:53gems are working really quickly? Because
2019. 1:21:56we're going to do one more thing.
2020. 1:22:00It learns from your uploads. No, your
2021. 1:22:02gems are reactionary. It does the same
2022. 1:22:05thing you do again and again and again
2023. 1:22:07and just goes pop. You wanted to clean
  2024. 1:22:10up your emails? No problem. Here's
  2025. 1:22:13something life-changing even more. You
2026. 1:22:15can build a custom prompt in a gem and
2027. 1:22:19activate it in your Gmail account. So
2028. 1:22:21when you're in an email, you can see a
2029. 1:22:24gem a Gemini button. You can then after
  2030. 1:22:27creating Gemini,
2031. 1:22:29you can actually see gems inside your
  2032. 1:22:32Gemini tab in Gmail.
2033. 1:22:34Um, for those of you who had that Kelly,
2034. 1:22:37I had that same situation. It kept
2035. 1:22:39changing my face. You have to literally
2036. 1:22:41tell it uh keep persistent on the faces.
2037. 1:22:45Do not make any changes on the face. I
2038. 1:22:47know it sounds redundant, but you have
2039. 1:22:50to kind of keep playing with the prompt
2040. 1:22:52until it remembers that. The cool thing
2041. 1:22:54is once you get it right, a Gemini gem
2042. 1:22:56is stuck forever on that. So, that's
  2043. 1:22:58super helpful.
2044. 1:23:00Okay, it does not know anything about
2045. 1:23:02your company. Remember that. Okay, it
  2046. 1:23:05doesn't automatically know. It just it's
2047. 1:23:06a tool that can even use the internet.
2048. 1:23:08So you can build a gem to give you an an
2049. 1:23:11analysis report on all the stock market
2050. 1:23:13stuff that you're following as well. Uh
2051. 1:23:16gem gems is automatically activated in
2052. 1:23:19your Gmail account. So as you get
2053. 1:23:21through more safety like definitely look
2054. 1:23:23into it, but it's your private gem
2055. 1:23:26unless you share it. So it's not going
2056. 1:23:28to send your information to anyone
  2057. 1:23:30public um ever because it's a one it's a
2058. 1:23:33use and dump situation unlike notebook
  2059. 1:23:36and all that.
2060. 1:23:38Uh yes, I will show you guys at the end
2061. 1:23:40of my session what takeaway stuff I'm
2062. 1:23:42going to be uploading in Slack for you.
2063. 1:23:46So I want you to try one example for me.
  2064. 1:23:51Uh we're we're about 20 minutes left. So
2065. 1:23:53I'll spend about five more minutes on
2066. 1:23:54gems before I do a pause and then we do
2067. 1:23:57one demo session of cloud code. So I can
2068. 1:23:59just show you how that works very
  2069. 1:24:01quickly as a teaser for what's coming in
2070. 1:24:03the next sessions. So your gem
  2071. 1:24:05instructions.
2072. 1:24:07I'm going to copy paste this again. Now
  2073. 1:24:10remember the context
2074. 1:24:16like this is what you paste in the Oh,
2075. 1:24:20sorry. I'm going to paste this again.
2076. 1:24:22I'll copy the top one for you.
2077. 1:24:24Apologies. You can remove uh you can
2078. 1:24:26ignore the one right before. There you
2079. 1:24:28go. And I'm going to put that on Slack
  2080. 1:24:29for everyone as well.
2081. 1:24:35Okay. Now, underneath context, you
2082. 1:24:38remember the notebook LM stuff that you
2083. 1:24:40were doing earlier and I told you to
2084. 1:24:41write a positioning summary uh in the
2085. 1:24:44Slack channel. Um, someone on the team
2086. 1:24:47will guide you to it, but it's in the AI
2087. 1:24:49advantage. So, you copy your entire
2088. 1:24:53positioning summary and put it in.
2089. 1:24:57So, here I'm going to show you from
2090. 1:24:59scratch. So, for those of you who want
2091. 1:25:01to see it, you weren't following on the
  2092. 1:25:03gems, don't worry. I'm going to take you
2093. 1:25:06step by step. Okay. So, we're going to
2094. 1:25:09go here in gems and I'm going to click
2095. 1:25:12on new gem. Soon as you click on new
  2096. 1:25:14gem,
  2097. 1:25:16this can happen.
2098. 1:25:18And if this happens to you,
  2099. 1:25:21and I don't like this interface, but you
2100. 1:25:23can use it. You just have to paste
2101. 1:25:25everything in here. My personal the
  2102. 1:25:27popup for those of you saying I didn't
2103. 1:25:28get the popup. Click on the settings and
  2104. 1:25:30click on gems
2105. 1:25:34and then scroll down to my gems. And
2106. 1:25:37when you click on new gem here, the
2107. 1:25:39pop-up appears. So, I'm going to show
2108. 1:25:41this again cuz I find the interface so
2109. 1:25:43confusing. Don't ask me why. But if you
2110. 1:25:47click on new gem like this without the
  2111. 1:25:49plus button, it's not a best interface.
2112. 1:25:53But if you scroll down to my gems or
2113. 1:25:55under gem manager, the new gem, so much
2114. 1:25:58easier. It has that popup and everything
2115. 1:26:00in one screen. So, we're going to say
  2116. 1:26:03brief writer.
2117. 1:26:05Now, remember this is for Otello. I work
2118. 1:26:07for a right right now in this fictional
2119. 1:26:08company. So, I want to keep using the
2120. 1:26:11same thing over and over again.
2121. 1:26:14So, what we're going to do here is next
2122. 1:26:17is in the instructions section, I want
2123. 1:26:20you to paste everything that I just
2124. 1:26:22shared. So, this is my entire
2125. 1:26:26positioning summary. And then if I go
2126. 1:26:28back to the chat that I shared earlier,
2127. 1:26:30I'm going to copy all of that and paste
  2128. 1:26:33it on top.
  2129. 1:26:35So, I want to go this slowly. You're a
2130. 1:26:37brief writer for Aello. Always ground
2131. 1:26:39every claim in context below. Never
2132. 1:26:43uh yep, never in invent statistics and
  2133. 1:26:48use words revolutionary, gamechanging,
2134. 1:26:50or unlock. This is a little tip I just
2135. 1:26:52threw in there for you guys because I
2136. 1:26:55hate when you send proposal. It looks so
2137. 1:26:57AI when it says things like
  2138. 1:26:59revolutionary gamechanging idea. Like
2139. 1:27:02nobody speaks like that all the time,
  2140. 1:27:04right? So that's why I'm like always
  2141. 1:27:06avoiding that. Um
2142. 1:27:09I don't know what opal is. Uh I'm going
2143. 1:27:12to just check that in a second. Bear
2144. 1:27:14with me. And yes, there is a written
2145. 1:27:16instruction I will be sharing at the end
2146. 1:27:17of the session. So please don't worry.
2147. 1:27:20Um positioning summary was from your
2148. 1:27:22notebook LM uh your notebook part that
2149. 1:27:25you did earlier. Uh in the session
2150. 1:27:29beginning we were doing notebook and
  2151. 1:27:32part of it was to write a 200word
  2152. 1:27:35positioning summary. If you don't, don't
2153. 1:27:37worry. I will copy paste mine so you can
2154. 1:27:39just follow along. So, I'm going to copy
2155. 1:27:41paste mine now. Just bear with me.
2156. 1:27:48There we go. Hello. So, these are the
2157. 1:27:52positioning summaries you should have.
2158. 1:27:55And then I'm going to show you again
  2159. 1:27:56where I get there. I go to
  2160. 1:27:59settings, gems,
2161. 1:28:04scroll all the way to the bottom under
2162. 1:28:06my gems. You'll see the plus new gem.
2163. 1:28:08And you should get this popup brief
  2164. 1:28:11writer
  2165. 1:28:15brief for my company.
  2166. 1:28:19And then
2167. 1:28:21copy paste what I shared with you guys
2168. 1:28:23earlier. I'm going to copy paste my full
2169. 1:28:26prompt for you as well. Don't worry. So,
2170. 1:28:28you can just take mine as an example.
2171. 1:28:32Okay. I'm going to copy that whole
  2172. 1:28:33thing.
2173. 1:28:35Go back in here under context.
2174. 1:28:38Bam. That's my whole copy paste. Okay.
2175. 1:28:42And I'm going to put that in Slack.
2176. 1:28:46And I'm also going to put it in the chat
  2177. 1:28:48here. Sorry, it's a long Oh, it's a
2178. 1:28:51really long one. I'm going to cut out
2179. 1:28:52some parts from my chat. It'll be
  2180. 1:28:54slightly different, but I think you'll
2181. 1:28:56get the idea. Uh I can't paste that much
2182. 1:28:59in the chat here. So, if you have Slack,
  2183. 1:29:01it's there. Otherwise, the context I'm
2184. 1:29:03pasting separately. Okay. So, all of you
2185. 1:29:06can just see the context. Give me one
  2186. 1:29:08sec.
2187. 1:29:11It's still not going to allow me. It's
2188. 1:29:13too much text. So, I'm going to just
2189. 1:29:15remove part of it. It's not a big deal,
  2190. 1:29:18but
  2191. 1:29:20should be okay.
2192. 1:29:22Bear with me. There you go. This is the
  2193. 1:29:25most I could paste. So, apologies.
2194. 1:29:27That's just what we'll work with for
2195. 1:29:29now. And then now look what happens when
  2196. 1:29:33it starts.
2197. 1:29:35I just have to go give me brief.
  2198. 1:29:42This is a very layman's example so you
2199. 1:29:44can see how it works.
2200. 1:29:46I love how Hannah, you're asking about
2201. 1:29:48citations. I'm going to come to that in
2202. 1:29:49literally 2 minutes. Bear with me there.
  2203. 1:29:52So, boom.
2204. 1:29:54It now will take everything that I have
2205. 1:29:57and every time I ask about it, I can
  2206. 1:29:59have a full conversation. I need a brief
2207. 1:30:02in Chinese. Let's see how well it does
2208. 1:30:06there. For those of you who can read and
  2209. 1:30:08write Chinese, help me out. I don't know
  2210. 1:30:10if it's correct or not.
  2211. 1:30:13Boom.
2212. 1:30:15Uh, I pasted the context on purpose
  2213. 1:30:17because I can't paste the whole thing in
2214. 1:30:19the chat here. So, if you scroll up and
2215. 1:30:21take the top part and then merge it with
  2216. 1:30:22the context. I hope that's okay because
2217. 1:30:25the chat will not let me paste too long.
  2218. 1:30:28So, you can see
  2219. 1:30:30great question. So,
2220. 1:30:33the idea here is you know all this
2221. 1:30:35prompt in Gemini. So, the question was
2222. 1:30:38what's the difference between this and a
2223. 1:30:39normal Gemini chat? Can I just use this?
2224. 1:30:42is imagine you need to do something
  2225. 1:30:44every week like for example it's a PR
2226. 1:30:47company or it's a PR tool and you need
2227. 1:30:50to write a new social media post every
  2228. 1:30:52time right so let's try that I'm going
2229. 1:30:54to show you a quick example social media
  2230. 1:30:56writer
  2231. 1:30:58okay
  2232. 1:30:59social media
2233. 1:31:04and I'm just going to do a very simple
  2234. 1:31:06example
2235. 1:31:09so it has all my information and I'm
2236. 1:31:12just going to Say you are a social media
2237. 1:31:15writer for this company. Write posts on
  2238. 1:31:20any topic provided
  2239. 1:31:25by the
2240. 1:31:27users's message. I'm writing in caps so
2241. 1:31:29you guys can see it.
2242. 1:31:33Yeah. Yeah. The instructions there on
2243. 1:31:35revolutionary, please leave that in
  2244. 1:31:36there. It's kind of handy if you don't
2245. 1:31:38want to sound like AI slop. Now, um, for
  2246. 1:31:41the person asking what's the difference
  2247. 1:31:43between Gemini? That's a fantastic
2248. 1:31:44question. Let me show you in this exact
2249. 1:31:47example. So, now that I've told it this,
2250. 1:31:52I'm going to remove the brief writer.
  2251. 1:31:54Okay.
  2252. 1:31:57And now it's reloading. And I'm going to
  2253. 1:32:00just give it a topic. Um,
  2254. 1:32:03let's say shops.
2255. 1:32:08So the idea here is I wanted to give it
  2256. 1:32:10example of a shop thing something I know
  2257. 1:32:13it's specific cafes
  2258. 1:32:15uh Hong Kong cafe
2259. 1:32:19let's see so I can effectively load this
2260. 1:32:22gem gem up give it a link to an article
2261. 1:32:25that I want to talk about in the context
2262. 1:32:27of let's say my company so my gem will
2263. 1:32:30have all the information about my
  2264. 1:32:32company but someone earlier asked a
2265. 1:32:35really important question. What if
2266. 1:32:39I wanted to connect my notebook? If you
2267. 1:32:42click here, you can actually add photos
2268. 1:32:44as a rag or you can connect your Gemini
2269. 1:32:47notebook directly in. And yes, uh the
2270. 1:32:50person asking manage social media
2271. 1:32:51calendar. A lot of people do that. They
2272. 1:32:54actually use this gem thing and they
2273. 1:32:56share it with the whole team. So,
2274. 1:32:58everybody's creating the post with the
2275. 1:33:00same set of rules. And now I can click
2276. 1:33:03on Gemini notebook and I can connect my
  2277. 1:33:05entire notebook inside here.
2278. 1:33:11So I hope that helps. And you can see
2279. 1:33:14now how I can reuse a gem over and over
2280. 1:33:17and over again. So I'm just cautious of
2281. 1:33:20time. Let me take you guys back into why
2282. 1:33:23we're talking about this. And I will
2283. 1:33:25give you a nice little takeaway PDF that
2284. 1:33:27will take you step by step about how to
  2285. 1:33:29make gems. because I know we didn't have
2286. 1:33:31enough time to cover so much detail. So
2287. 1:33:33I will be taking care of you also on
2288. 1:33:35Slack. So do not worry please. But what
2289. 1:33:38I want you to achieve with this, let me
  2290. 1:33:40just go down.
  2291. 1:33:43So
2292. 1:33:44when you start working with gems, the
2293. 1:33:47idea is you write the context once and
2294. 1:33:50you can never pollute it. If you mess up
  2295. 1:33:52a chat, it doesn't matter. Just start a
2296. 1:33:54new one with that gem.
2297. 1:33:58The idea here is you scaffold all the
2298. 1:34:00information. You create your social
2299. 1:34:01media writer. You create your uh finance
2300. 1:34:05alert system that will every day can
2301. 1:34:07just you just tell it what are the my
  2302. 1:34:09latest updates. It'll check the latest
2303. 1:34:11stock market and give me information.
2304. 1:34:13You can do all kinds of stuff to empower
2305. 1:34:15yourself. So can I get this gem agent to
2306. 1:34:18read one of the files in my folder? Yes.
2307. 1:34:21So you can build a gem specifically to
2308. 1:34:23say I want you to read this file always.
  2309. 1:34:26like let's say a Google sheet and then
2310. 1:34:28give me a summary every morning so you
2311. 1:34:31don't have to track how it's changed all
2312. 1:34:33the time. Okay? So then you can attach
  2313. 1:34:39your Gemini notebook. I didn't show you
2314. 1:34:41too much of this, but I want you to try
2315. 1:34:43this. What that does, it takes
2316. 1:34:45everything you learned in the first half
2317. 1:34:46of the session, merges it with your gem,
2318. 1:34:49and now your gem has all that
  2319. 1:34:51information you've been studying for
2320. 1:34:52months and building out. Um, bank
2321. 1:34:55statements for my personal bank
  2322. 1:34:57statements. I'm comfortable uploading it
  2323. 1:34:59because I have my personal account,
  2324. 1:35:01right? Obviously, make sure you're doing
2325. 1:35:02it on your personal account, not your
2326. 1:35:04work account or something like that if
2327. 1:35:05it's your personal bank statements. But,
  2328. 1:35:08uh, I did that literal thing because I
2329. 1:35:09had to copy paste. I have to manually
2330. 1:35:12input some bookkeeping. I take care of
2331. 1:35:13my own bookkeeping sometimes and this
2332. 1:35:15thing just broke everything down for me
2333. 1:35:17so I could copy paste it into the system
2334. 1:35:19which was so nice. Um, can I use jam
2335. 1:35:22gems to read my Instagram socials? Great
2336. 1:35:24question. So if if you notice Instagram
2337. 1:35:28blocks you without a login. So you may
2338. 1:35:31have problems. So try uploading a link
2339. 1:35:33directly to your Instagram and see if it
2340. 1:35:36can read out all the information first.
2341. 1:35:38Try that first. It does get blocked from
2342. 1:35:40my experience quite often. So test it
2343. 1:35:43please. Um now the best way for you to
2344. 1:35:47learn this on your own is everyone needs
2345. 1:35:50to at least try building a gem. Use it
2346. 1:35:53not only inside the gem system. You can
2347. 1:35:55use it inside Gmail or you can use it
2348. 1:35:58inside a Google doc directly. Click on
  2349. 1:36:01the Gemini button. I'm going to uh I'll
2350. 1:36:03send you an entire guide on how to do
2351. 1:36:05that. And then in Slack if you have any
2352. 1:36:08questions you get stuck reach out so we
2353. 1:36:10can even cover that. But the advanced
2354. 1:36:12part, solve a problem for yourself. Just
2355. 1:36:15do not forget the most important part,
  2356. 1:36:17TCI.
2357. 1:36:19Use the same technique that I taught you
  2358. 1:36:21about TCI.
2359. 1:36:23And remember, you can adjust your
  2360. 1:36:26settings however you want, but don't
  2361. 1:36:29upload things until you're sure you're
2362. 1:36:31comfortable doing it. A lot of you who
2363. 1:36:33have that question. So, grounding on
  2364. 1:36:35three scales. The notebook grounds a
2365. 1:36:37chat. Gemini makes the assistant or AI
2366. 1:36:40agent that you build become grounded.
2367. 1:36:43And then let's talk about the last
  2368. 1:36:45feature. Now I obviously in 12 minutes
2369. 1:36:49will not share how to set up cloud code.
2370. 1:36:52So I built you a PDF that will be given
2371. 1:36:54for you to for free in the Slack channel
2372. 1:36:57right after the end of this session. So
2373. 1:36:59I will paste on how to set up cloud
2374. 1:37:01code. What on earth is claude code and
2375. 1:37:04is it only for claude? It is not. That
2376. 1:37:08is what I wanted to show you guys. That
  2377. 1:37:09is a superpower. So, I will do a live
2378. 1:37:13demo right now. Um, bear with me.
  2379. 1:37:17I'm gonna uh I hope you don't guys don't
2380. 1:37:19mind I go over by one or two minutes at
2381. 1:37:20the end of this session, but I really
  2382. 1:37:22want to show you this. It's like a
2383. 1:37:23superpower. So, I'm going to go in and
2384. 1:37:26now I'm going to change my screen share
2385. 1:37:29to my code editor. Now, keep in mind
2386. 1:37:32this part of the segment is not follow
2387. 1:37:34on. So, you don't have to copy what I
2388. 1:37:36do. I just want you to absorb what is
2389. 1:37:39happening here because the next session
2390. 1:37:41you're going to be building agents and
2391. 1:37:43stuff anyway, but I wanted to give you a
2392. 1:37:45preview of how I personally do a lot of
2393. 1:37:47my work nowadays. So, here is a code
  2394. 1:37:52editor. I use something called Visual
2395. 1:37:54Studio Code. Okay. Now, Visual Studio
2396. 1:37:58Code allows me to implement Claude Code.
  2397. 1:38:03Cloud code is a little window I can
2398. 1:38:04attach that runs on my computer. That
2399. 1:38:08means this is running and it has access
2400. 1:38:10to my entire computer. You have heard of
  2401. 1:38:12this before. GPT6 rolled out Astra.
  2402. 1:38:15Claude co-work is also a thing that you
2403. 1:38:17may have read of on the news. But Claude
  2404. 1:38:19code doesn't tie you to a subscription.
2405. 1:38:23What I mean by that and I'll show you
2406. 1:38:25this is first let's see what it can do.
  2407. 1:38:28I have a very messy file system. I'm
2408. 1:38:32sure a lot of you have folders that are
2409. 1:38:34complete mess. Okay. So, in my downloads
  2410. 1:38:39folder,
  2411. 1:38:41organize all the files
  2412. 1:38:45into folders,
2413. 1:38:48but leave out the pimp files. Okay, this
2414. 1:38:51is my personal use. What on earth am I
2415. 1:38:53talking about? Uh, I will show uh the
2416. 1:38:56person asking about how I connected it.
2417. 1:38:58Please bear with me for two more
2418. 1:38:59minutes. I want to show you what it can
2419. 1:39:01do and then I'm going to talk about the
2420. 1:39:03takeaway sheets where you can follow
2421. 1:39:04this step by step in your own time on
  2422. 1:39:07how to attach everything. So I promise I
2423. 1:39:10got you covered. Just follow me for two
2424. 1:39:12more minutes. I am now going to share my
2425. 1:39:14real downloads folder which is a bunch
2426. 1:39:17of mess and let's see it. Okay.
2427. 1:39:22So I just really quickly want to show
  2428. 1:39:23this to you
2429. 1:39:25and then we're going to jump between
2430. 1:39:26screens here today. So bear with me. So,
2431. 1:39:30here you have Can you guys see the mess?
2432. 1:39:33That is my downloads folder.
2433. 1:39:36Okay. So, I want to make sure you guys
2434. 1:39:38I'm seeing the chat. You guys can see
2435. 1:39:41that. It should be messy. I see some
2436. 1:39:42thumbs up. Okay. We're going to clean
2437. 1:39:44this up without me touching anything.
  2438. 1:39:47And it's not pre-cooked. This is a live
2439. 1:39:49demo. Okay. I'm going to go back and
2440. 1:39:52share my screen now uh of my claude code
2441. 1:39:56so you can see how really this stuff
  2442. 1:39:58works from a fresh chat.
  2443. 1:40:01Okay, I'm going to not use Fable. I'm
2444. 1:40:03going to use Sonnet and these are
  2445. 1:40:04different models. It's basically I
2446. 1:40:06wanted to run fast right now. That's why
2447. 1:40:10it's now thinking it's going to use some
  2448. 1:40:12of my tokens. I have a subscription. I
2449. 1:40:14paid for this but you this is a paid
  2450. 1:40:17tool which is why I didn't want everyone
2451. 1:40:19to follow me today but I will show you
2452. 1:40:21how you can use cheaper models with
2453. 1:40:24cloud code without using cloud co cloud
2454. 1:40:27that means you can connect it to
2455. 1:40:28deepseeek you can connect it to quen or
2456. 1:40:31any other AI model some even running
2457. 1:40:33locally on your machine for those of you
  2458. 1:40:35enterprised uh for Gloria I I have a max
2459. 1:40:38plan on claude because I use it for work
  2460. 1:40:41almost every single day.
  2461. 1:40:44Actually, that's the lie. I use it every
2462. 1:40:46single day. Not almost. I definitely use
2463. 1:40:49it every single day. Oh. All right. So,
2464. 1:40:51while this is running, there's no point
2465. 1:40:52seeing all this. I want to now share
2466. 1:40:54what on earth it's doing to my downloads
2467. 1:40:56folder. This is insane because it just
2468. 1:40:58took two seconds. I'm glad it worked in
2469. 1:41:00a live demo. So, this is my I'm about to
2470. 1:41:05show you my downloads folder.
2471. 1:41:12[laughter] For those of you waiting on
  2472. 1:41:13cloud resets, I love that. Organized
  2473. 1:41:16everything perfectly.
2474. 1:41:21This is fire because this is an easy
  2475. 1:41:24example. I'll tell you something that
2476. 1:41:26was even better. I have an old laptop
2477. 1:41:29and I just went in and I said, "Hey, my
2478. 1:41:31old laptop is really slow. Can you turn
2479. 1:41:33off things and optimize it like a IT
2480. 1:41:36professional and it went in and it fixed
  2481. 1:41:38my old laptop and I'm running a 2019
  2482. 1:41:40laptop like it's brand new."
2483. 1:41:43This is what the difference of claude
2484. 1:41:45code is. Now, what is claude code? Why
2485. 1:41:47do I keep saying claude code and not
2486. 1:41:50just claude? Let me explain.
2487. 1:41:53So, I'm going to jump back to my
2488. 1:41:55presentation here. Bear with me.
2489. 1:42:02All right. And yes, by the way, uh it's
  2490. 1:42:04super safe because it's running locally
2491. 1:42:06on my machine. Yes, it's using an
  2492. 1:42:09external model, but I mean it's
  2493. 1:42:11organizing files for me. I'm relatively
  2494. 1:42:14comfortable with it personally.
2495. 1:42:15Personally, but I want to show you what
2496. 1:42:16it does first. We can talk ethics. I
2497. 1:42:18know this is a big topic. So, before and
2498. 1:42:21after. Bang. 90 seconds. Cleaned up my
2499. 1:42:24entire computer. And yes, by the way,
  2500. 1:42:26GG, I can literally for this demo, I
2501. 1:42:28tested it, right? And then I basically
2502. 1:42:30told it in the next prompt, undo
2503. 1:42:32everything you just did and it just
2504. 1:42:33undid everything. So totally flexible
  2505. 1:42:37because it's just organizing things and
2506. 1:42:39it has a memory local in your machine.
2507. 1:42:42It remembers everything it does. So
2508. 1:42:46I wanted to show you something that it
2509. 1:42:48did for me today as well. I'm now going
2510. 1:42:50to show you the real Claude session
2511. 1:42:52because I find that on YouTube and all
2512. 1:42:54that people just share like magic tricks
  2513. 1:42:56and you don't really know what's
  2514. 1:42:57happening and I hate that. So, I wanted
2515. 1:43:00to show you guys my real prompt which I
2516. 1:43:02by the way ran 8 minutes before this
  2517. 1:43:05session started.
  2518. 1:43:08Now, have a look. It's a little small. I
  2519. 1:43:11apologize. I'm going to zoom in in a
  2520. 1:43:12second. Okay,
  2521. 1:43:15let's see if I can
2522. 1:43:17Whoops. Went a bit too big there.
  2523. 1:43:24Okay. Now, all I told it
2524. 1:43:30is, you remember that prompt? I said,
  2525. 1:43:33"Generate me a fully detailed,
2526. 1:43:34beautiful, interactive homepage for this
  2527. 1:43:36new brand, make a professional design,
2528. 1:43:38and then my positioning summary that I
  2529. 1:43:40shared earlier." That's it. Okay? And
2530. 1:43:43the recommended lead angle. So,
  2531. 1:43:44everything I took from Gemini, I then
2532. 1:43:46dumped it into Cloud Code. And now let
2533. 1:43:49me show you the result that came out of
  2534. 1:43:52what happened.
2535. 1:43:55So going back, this is the live website
2536. 1:44:00it actually built in one shot.
2537. 1:44:05That means I have so much more I can
  2538. 1:44:07still do with it.
2539. 1:44:12All the pictures, by the way, are made
  2540. 1:44:13up by itself. I didn't give it anything.
2541. 1:44:15I just gave it that prompt, one prompt.
2542. 1:44:17It built an entire page. Now, tomorrow I
2543. 1:44:21can uh cloud code is not great for
  2544. 1:44:23chatting. It's such a waste of your um
  2545. 1:44:26uh tokens. So, please don't do that. I
2546. 1:44:28think use it to execute. And this is
2547. 1:44:30exactly where I'm going with this. So,
2548. 1:44:33let me now show you why I wanted to give
2549. 1:44:36you a teaser right before we close up
  2550. 1:44:38this session today of why I'm
  2551. 1:44:40introducing the cloud code.
  2552. 1:44:43My structure is I make a folder. I set
2553. 1:44:45up cloud code to open that folder and I
2554. 1:44:48build things and I actually upload my
2555. 1:44:50projects to GitHub which I'll cover in
2556. 1:44:53you'll learn more in other sessions. But
2557. 1:44:55the idea here is I can actually build a
2558. 1:44:58real professional project. So if you
  2559. 1:45:00look at Collective Global's website, the
2560. 1:45:02links I've been sending you, this is my
2561. 1:45:03company. The entire website was built
  2562. 1:45:06using cloud code. I didn't write one
2563. 1:45:09single line of code myself, which by the
2564. 1:45:12way is weird for me. I've spent two
2565. 1:45:14decades writing code and now suddenly I
  2566. 1:45:16don't even write code anymore. It's
2567. 1:45:18inefficient almost for me to actually
  2568. 1:45:20write it. I rather direct. I left one
2569. 1:45:23thing for you guys called Net Lifly
2570. 1:45:25which will be shared with you of course
2571. 1:45:27in Slack because some people can use
2572. 1:45:29cloud code and then upload their whole
2573. 1:45:31website live without having to pay for
  2574. 1:45:34it on Netlefi. Okay,
2575. 1:45:38keep in mind you can actually use
2576. 1:45:40deepseek and all these others. And just
2577. 1:45:43to wrap up, I know our session is going
2578. 1:45:45to end soon. So I'm going to share one
2579. 1:45:46quick little note for you guys. I want
2580. 1:45:49to show you what I gave you. I'm giving
2581. 1:45:51you guys as a freebie so you guys can
2582. 1:45:54enjoy more of this by yourself. Uh I
2583. 1:45:57built you guys two guides. So I'm going
2584. 1:46:00to open this right now.
  2585. 1:46:02Bear with me.
2586. 1:46:06So, for those of you wondering, oh my
2587. 1:46:08god, Cloud Code, he talked about it. I
2588. 1:46:09didn't take any notes. The Oh, by the
2589. 1:46:11way, you can host it locally, too. The
2590. 1:46:14entire guide, multiple pages, step by
2591. 1:46:17step, how to connect different models. I
2592. 1:46:20wrote all of it down for you in a
  2593. 1:46:22structure. And I that's not it. I also
2594. 1:46:25built you uh another one for gems. So,
  2595. 1:46:28look out for that and a step-by-step
2596. 1:46:30guide that is 100% given to you for
  2597. 1:46:33free. Use it, share it, I don't care.
2598. 1:46:35It's yours. I want you guys to build
2599. 1:46:37some amazing stuff. And just to wrap up,
2600. 1:46:41you learned notebook, you learned gems,
2601. 1:46:43you saw claude code do some magic
  2602. 1:46:46running on a machine.
2603. 1:46:49And today you learned how to site your
2604. 1:46:50sources. So no more AI slop. You guys
2605. 1:46:53are not allowed for AI slop anymore. And
2606. 1:46:55research notebooks. And you also learned
2607. 1:46:58how to build your own mini AI agent. And
2608. 1:47:01remember, TCI is a great philosophy on
2609. 1:47:04how you can build your prompts.
2610. 1:47:08So again, would you hit send? I think
2611. 1:47:10you guys already had the right answer
2612. 1:47:12before at D. It is now you know how to
2613. 1:47:16do it much much much faster.
2614. 1:47:19So this is me. You can add me on
2615. 1:47:21LinkedIn anytime and I will also be on
2616. 1:47:24the Slack. Uh I really appreciate you
2617. 1:47:26guys taking your time on a Saturday to
2618. 1:47:28spend it with me learning and uh yeah
2619. 1:47:31I'm super excited to to keep seeing what
2620. 1:47:33you guys build. So please in the Slack
2621. 1:47:35share your stuff. I'll give comments too
2622. 1:47:38and on October 10th uh my amazing
2623. 1:47:42colleague Ash is going to be taking you
  2624. 1:47:43through innovate where you're actually
2625. 1:47:45going to build your own agent. So
2626. 1:47:47definitely check that out and you know
2627. 1:47:49bring your gem with you. Bring all the
2628. 1:47:50information I taught you today into that
2629. 1:47:52session. It'll help you make the most
2630. 1:47:54out of it. And if you haven't already,
2631. 1:47:58you have to join the Slack channel. It's
2632. 1:47:59so useful. So much more information
2633. 1:48:01there. And like I said, as soon as I
2634. 1:48:03stop this sharing here, I'm going to be
2635. 1:48:05uploading two PDFs into the Slack
2636. 1:48:07channel. And if you miss it, just send a
2637. 1:48:09message there. Um, definitely connect
2638. 1:48:12with the She Loves Data team. I just
2639. 1:48:14want to thank the whole She loves data
2640. 1:48:15team again for making this possible.
2641. 1:48:17It's so amazing that we can do this on a
2642. 1:48:19global scale. and tell them if you want
2643. 1:48:21to learn something specific because we
2644. 1:48:23do talk about that internally as well
2645. 1:48:26and this is the amazing team uh of
2646. 1:48:29people that have just put this together
2647. 1:48:30globally. So massive massive thank you
2648. 1:48:33to the team uh for making this happen
2649. 1:48:36and thank you all for making such an
2650. 1:48:38engaging session for me as well. Uh,
  2651. 1:48:40with that I think I'm going to wrap
