1. 0:05what's up B doers and welcome back today
2. 0:08we'll be taking a look how we can use
3. 0:09the powerful template builder in odo's
4. 0:11email marketing app to build an email
5. 0:13template from scratch with email
6. 0:15marketing you can simply drag and drop
7. 0:18and customize entire blocks of content
8. 0:20the real power of these features come
9. 0:23from the more advanced customization
10. 0:24options and this is what we'll be taking
11. 0:26a look at today if you'd like to learn
12. 0:28more about the basics and see how to
13. 0:30edit pre-made templates be sure to check
14. 0:32out our other video Linked In the
15. 0:34description the possibilities are truly
16. 0:36endless and it all comes together quite
17. 0:38nicely so let's take a look to get
18. 0:41started we need to head to the email
19. 0:43marketing application and once we're in
20. 0:45the app all we have to do is click new
21. 0:47to open a new mailing
22. 0:49form you'll be presented with a handful
23. 0:52of templates in the mail body tab which
24. 0:54can be used to get started but we're
25. 0:56going to be digging into some more
26. 0:57advanced concepts for this video so
27. 1:00let's start with the start from scratch
28. 1:02template to build a new template from
29. 1:04the ground
30. 1:05up we're going to be building a nice
31. 1:08promotional email template so let's
32. 1:09start by giving our template a name that
33. 1:11represents that so in the subject field
34. 1:14we're just going to type
35. 1:17promo later when we want to use this
36. 1:19template it'll have the same
37. 1:21name now let's start by adding our
38. 1:24content the best place to start building
39. 1:26an email template is by adding some
40. 1:28building blocks these are large sections
41. 1:30of content formatted for different
42. 1:32purposes these can be dragged and
43. 1:34dropped and then customized however we'd
44. 1:36like so let's start first with this left
45. 1:39logo block under the header section
46. 1:41we'll just drag and drop it onto our
47. 1:43first page this gives us a place where
48. 1:46we can put our logo along with any
49. 1:48social media links to add to our header
50. 1:52and to change the logo all we have to do
51. 1:54is click the your logo placeholder image
52. 1:57and then in the image section here on
53. 1:59the side edit bar under media we'll just
54. 2:02click the replace
55. 2:04button then from this point you just
56. 2:06have to upload your own images or logo
57. 2:08select it and then it'll be added to the
58. 2:11template now to resize the image we can
59. 2:13click and drag the breakpoint here on
60. 2:15the right and just pull it towards the
61. 2:17left and the image will be reformatted
62. 2:19to a smaller size we also have a ton of
63. 2:23options to modify the placement and
64. 2:25appearance of the image in the image
65. 2:26section of the sidebar including
66. 2:28cropping aligning to one part of the
67. 2:30content block and adding borders padding
68. 2:33to the image with other options as well
69. 2:35we'll look at those more in just a bit
70. 2:37but in the meantime let's change some of
71. 2:39these social media links here in the
72. 2:40header while we're at it at stealthy
73. 2:43wood we don't currently have a Tik Tok
74. 2:44account so let's delete the Tik Tok
75. 2:46social media Icon by clicking on that
76. 2:48specific icon then once that logo is
77. 2:51highlighted I'll press right on my arrow
78. 2:54keyboard to move the cursor to the right
79. 2:56of it now I'll just hit the backspace
80. 2:58button twice to delete the the
81. 3:00logo next I'll change the link to our
82. 3:03Facebook by clicking on the Facebook
83. 3:06icon then changing the URL on the right
84. 3:09here in the your url field currently
85. 3:12it's facebook.com/ Odo so let's change
86. 3:15it to say stealthy
87. 3:22wood you can also click the
88. 3:25icon and then hit the edit link button
89. 3:28bringing up a small mini popup window
90. 3:30and then just update the URL it's
91. 3:32whatever you prefer now to add new
92. 3:35blocks we can click anywhere above the
93. 3:37mail body and it'll
94. 3:40automatically open up the blocks column
95. 3:42once again we want to add something at
96. 3:46the start of our promotional email to
97. 3:47grab people's attention at first glance
98. 3:50while also giving them an idea of what
99. 3:52the promotion's about for that let's add
100. 3:54the cover
101. 3:56block and I like the default image for
102. 4:00our cover block but let's add some flare
103. 4:01to it by selecting the
104. 4:04block and then in the filter drop down
105. 4:06menu let's select the early bird
106. 4:12option and then we'll also choose a
107. 4:15gradient from the filter here at the
108. 4:18bottom that looks pretty good
109. 4:20nice this is looking great but let's say
110. 4:23we want to make some changes to the font
111. 4:25well OD doers those options can be found
112. 4:27in the design tab
113. 4:30and this is where we can make changes to
114. 4:32the entire template design at stealthy
115. 4:34wood we like a cultivated and
116. 4:36sophisticated look so let's pick up a
117. 4:39nice sah font to add to our title and I
118. 4:42can do that by clicking on the font
119. 4:43field under heading one and let's just
120. 4:45change this to the Georgia
121. 4:49font we can also set the color of our
122. 4:51mailing background here so let's open up
123. 4:54the mailing
124. 4:55background color option and then click
125. 4:59it and and then let's use a nice bluish
126. 5:05color we can also click the content
127. 5:08background color selector and pick a
128. 5:11nice gray color
129. 5:17here notice how the font color
130. 5:19automatically adjusted to White to make
131. 5:22sure our content is still visible
132. 5:23amongst the dark background pretty neat
133. 5:26right finally let's change the color of
134. 5:28the header to the same color as the
135. 5:30mailing background to do that I'll open
136. 5:32the design Tab and then open the mailing
137. 5:35background once again and then this time
138. 5:38we're going to click on the custom Tab
139. 5:40and on the custom tab we'll have the hex
140. 5:42code here on the bottom left there I'll
141. 5:46just copy it and then next I'll click on
142. 5:49the headers to select the
143. 5:55background and then we'll open that
144. 5:57color selector here in the sidebar
145. 5:59open custom again and then just paste
146. 6:02the hex code into that
147. 6:05section
148. 6:09awesome next I'll switch over to the
149. 6:11blocks
150. 6:13Tab and add a columns block below the
151. 6:16cover
152. 6:24block then I'll click into the first
153. 6:26title
154. 6:32and let's change this from feature one
155. 6:34to Mahogany
156. 6:36table and we can also edit the text
157. 6:39below it to
158. 6:44say brand new fully modular mahogany
159. 6:47tables in a variety of
160. 6:49sizes now we'll revisit the blocks
161. 6:52Tab and add an image text block below
162. 6:55that for our main text
163. 7:03we'll keep it simple for this video and
164. 7:05simply change the header to
165. 7:10say up to 70% off and we'll also change
166. 7:14the content below and update this to say
167. 7:18featuring select mahogany pieces from
168. 7:20our previous collection this week
169. 7:24only great to make things a bit cleaner
170. 7:27let's go back to the blocks tab
171. 7:31and add a separator block above the
172. 7:33image text
173. 7:42block let's add a final body section by
174. 7:46dropping in a text block at the
175. 7:48bottom now I could take the time to
176. 7:51write some enticing copy here but
177. 7:54running a successful furniture company
178. 7:55takes hard work how about instead we let
179. 7:58odo's integr AI take care of that to do
180. 8:02that I'm going to select all this
181. 8:03content right here and then just delete
182. 8:06it then we'll click the AI button here
183. 8:09on the
184. 8:11right and this opens a dialogue box that
185. 8:14gives us a space to generate some text
186. 8:16with AI I'm going to prompt
187. 8:19it asking it to write a paragraph of
188. 8:22copy for a 70% off sale on mahogany
189. 8:25furniture from stealthy Wood's previous
190. 8:27collection then I'll hit
191. 8:30enter we'll see that the Odo bot is
192. 8:32thinking for a second and boom just like
193. 8:34that we have a nice paragraph about our
194. 8:36sale amazing from here all I have to do
195. 8:40is Click insert and just like that it's
196. 8:42all filled in now to create some visual
197. 8:46interest towards the bottom of the email
198. 8:48I'll add the items
199. 8:56block and coincidentally we do happen to
200. 8:59sell both furniture and clothes here at
201. 9:01stealthy wood so I'll keep the first two
202. 9:04blocks as is but I want to get rid of
203. 9:07that third block to do so I'll just
204. 9:09click on that third block and then click
205. 9:11on the red trash can icon right above it
206. 9:14just to remove
207. 9:16it now to format the two items to fit
208. 9:19our two sections I'll click into that
209. 9:21blank
210. 9:22space and that'll select the entire
211. 9:24block then in the sidebar I just have to
212. 9:27scroll up and in the drop down that says
213. 9:30columns I'll change this from three to
214. 9:33two now let's finish up by adding a
215. 9:35footer center block to the bottom and we
216. 9:38can find that here in the blocks tab
217. 9:41we'll scroll down to
218. 9:43Footers and we can just drag and drop
219. 9:45the footer center block directly to the
220. 9:48bottom and just like last time while
221. 9:50we're here let's go ahead and delete the
222. 9:52Tik Tock icon since we don't have
223. 9:56that and as you can see this block has
224. 9:58our common social media links an
225. 10:00unsubscribe button however I'd like to
226. 10:03add a border to help this stand out a
227. 10:05bit so I'll select the section with our
228. 10:07social media
229. 10:09links and then go to the Border section
230. 10:13here and let's go ahead and change the
231. 10:16pixels to
232. 10:19five next to it I'll click the drop-
233. 10:22down menu and be able to choose from a
234. 10:24variety of different lines here we'll go
235. 10:27ahead and select the double lines
236. 10:29and finally I'll change the color of the
237. 10:31Border using the color selector to the
238. 10:33right of it and let's go ahead and put
239. 10:36in a nice light
240. 10:39blue this is looking perfect so let's
241. 10:42save it for use so we can use it again
242. 10:44later for that all we have to do is
243. 10:46scroll up to the top and click the add
244. 10:48to templates button at the top of the
245. 10:52form now when I open a new mailing
246. 10:59we can see the template here at the top
247. 11:01next to a gold star so we can open it
248. 11:04again and customize it however we'd
249. 11:10like and that's it for today OD doers we

252. 11:15marketing template Builder to build our
253. 11:17own email template completely from
254. 11:19scratch and save it for later so we can
