- 0:00If you know that frequency, you can
- 0:01control things. This is the math and
- 0:04this is diagramming all the frequencies
- 0:06of the elements and what their
- 0:07vibrational frequencies are and the
- 0:09numbers that measure those frequencies
- 0:11and they're all the numbers we get from
- 0:13looking at these ancient traditions that
- 0:15recur over and over and over again.
- 0:18>> And so through somehow
- 0:21through this technology, they're able to
- 0:23move stones or cut stones or all the
- 0:26above? All the above.
- 0:27>> We call these transducers,
- 0:29which is a fancy word for speakers.
- 0:31[music] These are speakers they only
- 0:33work at one frequency and this frequency
- 0:34is 40 kHz, which we shouldn't be able to
- 0:37hear. Only bats, dogs and other animals
- 0:40should be able to hear 40 kHz, but
- 0:42because the ultrasound is so powerful,
- 0:44if we put some particles, they should be
- 0:47kept in midair with the power of sound.
- 0:52And all this stuff that they are just
- 0:53being like kept there with air, actually
- 0:55it's not air, it's the
- 0:57ultrasound pushing them from all
- 0:59directions.
- 1:11>> Scientists already knew that sound waves
- 1:13create oscillating pockets of
- 1:15pressurized air, which can produce a
- 1:17force on an object capable of
- 1:19counteracting the pull of gravity. But
- 1:21while ultrasound levitation devices do
- 1:24exist, they all rely on standing waves
- 1:27created when two sound waves of the same
- 1:29frequency are emitted from opposite
- 1:31directions and superimposed on one
- 1:33another. That means all previous devices
- 1:36required two sets of transducers.
