- 0:05Abrica Fumble.
- 0:08On Monday morning, [music]
- 0:10Willow Willow woke up to a sunshiny day.
- 0:13Her morning [music] started just like
- 0:15any other. With the flick of her wrist,
- 0:18her tea prepared itself as usual.
- 0:26Herbs floated whimsically across the
- 0:28kitchen and plopped [music] delicately
- 0:30into her cauldron. Potions lifted from
- 0:33their shells and mixed into her brew,
- 0:36sending fizzes and whizzes and the sweet
- 0:39scent of honeysuckle through the breeze
- 0:41as it blew in the open window. Yes, it
- 0:45was a marvelously witchy morning, just
- 0:48the way Willa liked it.
- 0:52The potion is nearly finished, Derby.
- 0:55Just you wait. You're not going to
- 0:57believe this.
- 1:10It smells like strawberries and cream.
- 1:14[music]
- 1:19I love it. Magic is the best.
- 1:24We have so much to do this afternoon,
- 1:26Darby.
- 1:29Oh, busy day. But let's go.
- 1:40Bedtime, Darby. Aspenta.
- 1:46>> On Tuesday morning, Willa made her
- 1:48breakfast.
- 1:51Fina Alzari.
- 1:57No, that's [music] not right. How about
- 2:01Abracadabra?
- 2:04Oh, what? What kind of a spell was that?
- 2:08Abracadabel.
- 2:11Abracadab.
- 2:14>> No one would ever figure out why Willa
- 2:16forgot her magic. Not even Willa. But
- 2:19nothing would stop her from trying to
- 2:21remember.
- 2:23>> Darby, I believe I've forgotten my
- 2:25magic.
- 2:27>> Oh no, this is the end of the world.
- 2:42Sorry, Mrs. Merryweather.
- 2:52Willa, darling, to what do I owe the
- 2:54pleasure unannounced in the middle of
- 2:57the afternoon?
- 3:02[gasps]
- 3:03I've lost my magic.
- 3:07>> Of course, her mother didn't believe
- 3:09her.
- 3:12Oh, Willa, I've been around too long to
- 3:15fall for a trick like that. It's true,
- 3:19my dear. We come from a long line of
- 3:22witches who have always held on to their
- 3:24magic. What you speak of is impossible.
- 3:28Now, charm a pillow over to me so that I
- 3:30can rest my back.
- 3:43Turn that apple purple.
- 3:47Apple purple. Apple purple. You don't
- 3:51truly believe that to be the spell, do
- 3:53you?
- 3:54>> She did.
- 3:56>> Appily,
- 3:57turn yourself papily.
- 4:01Look, Ma, it worked.
- 4:08No, my dear. That was gravity.
- 4:12>> What am I going to do? I'm a willow
- 4:15witch without magic.
- 4:19I have to work at the flower shop today.
- 4:22Please don't go. Call in sick. I beg of
- 4:26you. I've never missed a day in my life.
- 4:34>> [music]
- 4:38>> I'm going to make you proud, Mom.
- 4:42[bell]
- 4:47I need these dillies to last longer than
- 4:49they should. Uh, yes, we do have a long
- 4:53lasting spell. It's uh
- 4:58it's one of our most popular spells.
- 5:01Willa can handle it for you. Hurry
- 5:03[music] up. We have a long line.
- 5:14Well, did you finish the spell? I did.
- 5:18And
- 5:19And now your flowers are longlasting.
- 5:22They look exactly as they did before.
- 5:25Ah, yes. That's how it works. It's magic
- 5:29maxing. New complicated. I'm sure you
- 5:33know all about it. Oh, of course. I've
- 5:36seen maxing plenty of times. I [music]
- 5:38was just testing you. Have a great day.
- 5:49Willa, I need you to go to the back
- 5:51garden and water the daisies. Yes,
- 5:54ma'am. And no hoses, please, Willa. Just
- 5:57use your magic. I'd like to go home on
- 6:00time this evening, and the hose takes
- 6:02far too long.
- 6:06How will [music] I do this without a
- 6:07hose? Darby, what am I going to do?
- 6:16Willa, did you do this? The rain. I'm
- 6:22sorry. I Will, there is nothing to be
- 6:25sorry for. Controlling the weather is an
- 6:28incredibly difficult enchantment. I've
- 6:31only known one warlock in my 153 years
- 6:35of living that has been able to
- 6:36accomplish such a feat. Willa, I am
- 6:39impressed. You are truly an advanced
- 6:42witch.
- 6:44Excuse me. Did you say this young lady
- 6:47has precipitation magic?
- 6:50Yes. I've never seen anything like it.
- 6:53Neither have I. This is something that
- 6:56takes decades to master, and she seems
- 6:58to have accomplished it as a young
- 7:00witch. H I wonder.
- 7:05If I didn't know any better, I'd think
- 7:07you were up to something. Now get going
- 7:11on home and change out of those wet
- 7:13clothes.
- 7:22Hello, dear. We met in the flower shop
- 7:24yesterday morning. I couldn't get you
- 7:26out of my head. I've been thinking about
- 7:28your precipitation [music]
- 7:29magic all night. No, that's not. I will
- 7:33accept no humble dismissals of your
- 7:34powers, young witch. I am the organizer
- 7:37of the Moon Mist Festival on Friday
- 7:39evening. It would be an honor [music] if
- 7:42you would attend and ensure the
- 7:43predicted thunderstorms are kept at bay.
- 7:46I know your precipitation magic [music]
- 7:48is strong, as I've seen it myself. You
- 7:51turned a sunny day into a dreadful
- 7:52afternoon of wet. Please be our witch of
- 7:56honor. I uh sure. Yes, I will be your
- 8:01witch of honor. Marvelous. I cannot wait
- 8:04to spread the news. A precipitation
- 8:07witch in our little town. I cannot
- 8:09believe it.
- 8:14>> I'm really in for it now.
- 8:18>> The next afternoon, word began to spread
- 8:21around town that Willa knew magic
- 8:23maxing. Citizens of the town came from
- 8:26all around to ask her for assistance
- 8:28with their magic. A young man came to
- 8:31the door devastated that his mostused
- 8:34[music] spell for strawberry rhubarb
- 8:36jelly had disappeared from his spell
- 8:38book. He asked Willa to summon the
- 8:41pages. With a breezy bit of luck and a
- 8:44clever chipmunk, the disappeared pages
- 8:47were magically unstuck.
- 8:52The jelly removed and he was none the
- 8:55wiser.
- 8:56>> Oh boy.
- 9:01Their afternoon and their evening
- 9:03continued on in the same way, with
- 9:05purveyors of magic filling the nooks and
- 9:08crannies of Willa's living room, begging
- 9:10her to perform incredible feats and
- 9:13mysterious incantations.
- 9:21>> I don't want to be a magic maxing witch
- 9:23anymore.
- 9:25Unfortunately for Willa, the days passed
- 9:27on, and we arrived at the evening of the
- 9:30Moon Mist Festival. It was just Willa's
- 9:33luck that the fall day had been sunny, a
- 9:36beautiful 65° F, and without a drop of
- 9:40rain in sight.
- 9:48It's a beautiful day for this festival.
- 9:50Let's just hope it stays that way.
- 9:54My witch of honor has arrived. Willow.
- 9:58Willow, welcome. Oh, very good. Very
- 10:01good. You have done wonderfully with the
- 10:03weather so far. Thank you. Is it Can I
- 10:08ask?
- 10:09[music]
- 10:13Is it one incantation or many? Just one,
- 10:16but it's more of a feeling. I would
- 10:19suppose a feeling. Golly, I wouldn't
- 10:22have guessed. A feeling. Really? Very
- 10:25well. The festivities on stage will
- 10:28start soon. You just continue to keep
- 10:30those rainclouds at bay, my witch of
- 10:32honor. I'm counting on you.
- 10:36[cheering]
- 10:49Miss Witch of Honor, my dillies have
- 10:52wilted. I believe I paid for a
- 10:54longlasting spell. And that's what you
- 10:56received. So why did they wilt then? It
- 11:00was longlasting, not forever. I want a
- 11:03refund.
- 11:11Willow witch. Will a witch,
- 11:13>> can you levitate our brooms again?
- 11:16>> We want to show our friends how they can
- 11:18levitate.
- 11:19>> We can't do our own broom magic for
- 11:21another 6 months.
- 11:24>> Uh, there's a reason you don't have
- 11:26broom licenses yet.
- 11:28>> Not fair.
- 11:29>> You're embarrassing us in front of our
- 11:31friends.
- 11:33[bell]
- 11:34[music]
- 11:41Welcome to the Moon Mist Festival.
- 11:48[cheering]
- 11:50I'd like to announce our first spooky
- 11:52act of the evening. The Cauldron Girls
- 11:55here to dance double bubble trouble.
- 11:58Take it away, girls.
- 12:03Take care of this wind. Okay.
- 12:06Okay.
- 12:08[bell]
- 12:09Abra Capri, it's time to [music] leave,
- 12:12please.
- 12:14What about my broom? These flowers
- 12:17[music] wilt more by the minute.
- 12:20The wind will uh
- 12:24[music]
- 12:31witches and warlocks. [music] It seems
- 12:33we're having a bit of worrisome weather.
- 12:36I'd like to take this moment to pause
- 12:39our dance until the wind subsides and
- 12:42instead introduce our witch of honor,
- 12:45Willa. Willow. Come on stage, Willa.
- 12:48Don't be shy.
- 12:53If you haven't heard, Willa is a
- 12:55precipitation witch. I'm going to give
- 12:57her the stage and she will dissipate
- 13:00this oncoming storm. Let's be quiet now
- 13:03and give her our full attention. Abraa
- 13:06son, bring back the fun. Abrica,
- 13:10weather, get it together. Abraa,
- 13:14aba, fumble.
- 13:19I can't do it. I can't do it. I'm not a
- 13:23precipitation witch. I don't know magic
- 13:25magazine. I haven't done any magic for
- 13:28weeks.
- 13:36You mean you lied? You lied to me and to
- 13:39everyone. What about my longlasting
- 13:41flowers, then?
- 13:43>> And how did you levitate our blooms?
- 13:46>> I was too embarrassed to tell you the
- 13:48whole truth. I'm so sorry. I forgot my
- 13:52magic, and I fear it may be gone
- 13:54forever. I'm an embarrassment to
- 13:56witches.
- 13:59>> [music]
- 14:06>> Maybe,
- 14:07maybe I can help. Everyone, take shelter
- 14:10until the storm passes. Stand under a
- 14:13tent. Summon an umbrella, but be careful
- 14:16of lightning. We can stay dry until this
- 14:19passes if we work together.
- 14:26Evapor.
- 14:30[music]
- 14:37There. There. My darling. You didn't
- 14:40mean it. And you were excellent in
- 14:42instructing [music] everyone to take
- 14:43shelter. You're a precipitation witch. I
- 14:47am. So, there you have it, Miss
- 14:49Chestnut. Your nice weather for the Moon
- 14:51Mist Festival.
- 14:53Mother, I'm so sorry I lied. I just
- 14:56wanted to make you proud.
- 14:58>> We can talk about that later. Let's get
- 15:00you out of here. Wait, please. I don't
- 15:03have magic [music] maxing, which you've
- 15:05probably guessed by now. I can't do
- 15:07magic at all. I haven't been able to do
- 15:10magic for [music] weeks.
- 15:13>> When I try to trim my sheep with the
- 15:15trimming spell, I usually turn them
- 15:16blue.
- 15:18>> I've been using the same five spells for
- 15:2156 years. I just can't seem to remember
- 15:25any others. You [music] mean it? I'm not
- 15:28alone in this. You were never alone,
- 15:30Willa. You always had me.
- 15:35That concludes the first half of our
- 15:37evening's entertainment. Please
- 15:39patronize the various shops around our
- 15:41festival. Enjoy those frog legs and join
- 15:44us shortly for act two.
- 15:46>> It has been weeks since that dreadful
- 15:48evening at the Moon Mist Festival. Now
- 15:51that Willa knew she wasn't alone in
- 15:53forgetting her magic, she had a newfound
- 15:55interest in trying to learn it all back.
- 15:58Everyday for hours, she and her mother
- 16:01worked to remaster spells, [music]
- 16:03though it was slowgoing.
- 16:07Now we lift the spoon [music] up gently.
- 16:14[music]
- 16:21I said gently
- 16:26>> forgetting her magic wasn't [music] the
- 16:28end of the world, but a way for her to
- 16:30come back even stronger.
- 16:34[music]
