- 0:02ABBY LEE MILLER: Previously on "Dance Moms."
- 0:03Kelly is not going to crawl back.
- 0:04No.
- 0:05Girls, I'm replacing Brooke and Paige.
- 0:06Who would like to be on this team of the Abby Lee Dance
- 0:09Company?
- 0:10CHRISTI: Should we get our cat claws ready?
- 0:11[imitating cat]
- 0:12Who are you?
- 0:13I am Ally's mom.
- 0:14JILL: Oh.
- 0:15ABBY LEE MILLER: My new angel.
- 0:16She was stunning.
- 0:18We're missing Kelly.
- 0:19We all do.
- 0:19I don't know about Abby.
- 0:20She [bleep] all over that title.
- 0:23Coming up on "Dance Moms."
- 0:24- I just want Kelly back. - I know.
- 0:26That's the plan.
- 0:27Girls, where are you?
- 0:29I should be in there doing the pyramid.
- 0:30I don't know where everybody is.
- 0:32There's people standing in the parking lot.
- 0:34What's going on?
- 0:36You're replaced.
- 0:36That's it.
- 0:37Finished.
- 0:38Done. Let's go.
- 0:40Let's get on the phone.
- 0:41We have to replace all these kids.
- 0:43This competition is huge.
- 0:44If we don't win, then those mothers had the last laugh.
- 0:48This can make you or break you.
- 0:50[music playing]
- 0:52(SINGING) Get up.
- 0:54Get on the floor.
- 0:55My world is with my girls living on the dance floor.
- 1:01[upbeat music]
- 1:11Hey.
- 1:13So where is our newest addition?
- 1:14Did we scare her away?
- 1:16- Holly, nice to meet you. - Shelly, nice to meet you.
- 1:17HOLLY: Shelly? - Yes, Shelly.
- 1:19HOLLY: Oh, nice to meet you. - And that's Ally.
- 1:20HOLLY: Oh, OK.
- 1:22Probably in there.
- 1:23She's probably having private-- she's probably already
- 1:24in there.
- 1:26CHRISTI: Or she's probably cleaning Abby's bathroom.
- 1:27I think the moms are finally just at their breaking point.
- 1:30We're a team and a team includes Kelly.
- 1:32And I think Abby's saying, oh, no.
- 1:34This team is going to include Shelly.
- 1:36That's not what we signed up for.
- 1:38Kelly obviously left for a reason,
- 1:41and she feels that this isn't the place for her.
- 1:43So I think it's up to us to convince her
- 1:45that she belongs with us.
- 1:47The team is not the same without Kelly, Paige,
- 1:49and Brooke.
- 1:50There's a void there.
- 1:51We're going to take a stand.
- 1:53We're going to stand up for what is right.
- 1:55- I just want Kelly back. - I know.
- 1:56That's the plan.
- 1:57So what is the plan?
- 1:59Put a date.
- 2:00Put the weekend that we know that there was--
- 2:07wait.
- 2:08They're really all going to the ladies room together?
- 2:10I'm sitting at the front desk working,
- 2:12and the moms walk in and waltz right by me.
- 2:14They're acting very suspicious.
- 2:23MELISSA: Beautiful.
- 2:24CHRISTI: Well, you know, I do what I can.
- 2:30So basically, the moms and I all decided that we're just
- 2:33going to sit there silent, and we're not
- 2:35going to go into pyramid, and we're just
- 2:37going to have a standoff trying to get Kelly back.
- 2:44So, ladies, have you recovered from your weekend?
- 2:49I don't know what these moms are trying to pull on me.
- 2:51I'm polite.
- 2:52I'm trying to have a conversation,
- 2:54and they won't say one word to me.
- 2:57What is going on?
- 3:04Girls, come on.
- 3:06I want to get going for the pyramid.
- 3:07Where are you?
- 3:08Girls.
- 3:11This is ridiculous.
- 3:12I just saw the moms at the front desk a few minutes ago.
- 3:14And where are the girls?
- 3:16I don't know what's going on, but if they're trying to piss
- 3:18me off, mission accomplished.
- 3:21The moms and the girls have disappeared.
- 3:23Poof.
- 3:24Be gone.
- 3:28Melissa, this is Abby.
- 3:29I don't know what's going on.
- 3:31If this has something to do with Kelly
- 3:33and replacing her kids for real, you are losing your mind.
- 3:38If you're going to jeopardize Maddie and McKenzie
- 3:41over her two kids, you're crazy.
- 3:45You are crazy.
- 3:46The moms are trying to make a point
- 3:48about Kelly and her daughters not being at the studio
- 3:50anymore.
- 3:51Fine.
- 3:52The show must go on.
- 3:54There's a competition this weekend in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
- 3:57I'm going to work with the people that are here.
- 3:59I'm going to start on Ally's solo.
- 4:01Take that right foot and turn it out and dig it really hard.
- 4:06Cuts.
- 4:08Cuts.
- 4:10Now you're going to take that leg and almost--
- 4:13The whole team's gone.
- 4:14They're gone.
- 4:15They're, like, gone.
- 4:16It's not like they're gone for the night.
- 4:17They're gone.
- 4:18They are all gone.
- 4:19So I'm just alone.
- 4:20ABBY LEE MILLER: So you're going through the fire,
- 4:23like there's a big-- there's flames here
- 4:24and you're trying to get through it.
- 4:26[inaudible] foot.
- 4:30I don't know what happened.
- 4:31ABBY LEE MILLER: I don't know what's going on.
- 4:33I don't know what their beef is and I don't know what they're
- 4:35doing, but I think that Melissa is a fool.
- 4:37Maddie needs me and she needs to dance.
- 4:41The rest of them could probably go be girl scouts.
- 4:44I have to worry about the kids that want to dance,
- 4:47not the ones that don't.
- 4:48SHELLY: Do you think this is about Kelly?
- 4:50Do you think that--
- 4:51What do you think?
- 4:52Did the kids say anything to you?
- 4:54SHELLY: Nobody said anything.
- 4:55I don't think this is the kids.
- 4:57I mean, they're just kids.
- 4:58They can't make the decision.
- 4:59Why?
- 5:00I was 14 when I started my company.
- 5:02That's the age Brooke is.
- 5:03So if she wanted to be here, call your dad.
- 5:05Have him bring you.
- 5:07Call your neighbor, say, I need to get to dancing.
- 5:08You don't need to tell him the whole story.
- 5:10You need to get your head on straight
- 5:12because we have one number so far and it's your solo
- 5:14and you got to go.
- 5:17Hey, um, where are the moms?
- 5:19They're not here?
- 5:20I should be in there doing the pyramid.
- 5:21I don't know where everybody is.
- 5:23The moms are still missing.
- 5:24It's getting late.
- 5:26Nobody's heard a word from them.
- 5:28We just wasted an entire day when we could have been
- 5:30rehearsing for the competition.
- 5:33There's people standing in the parking lot.
- 5:37Is that-- someone's sitting on the ground like a dog.
- 5:41Melissa.
- 5:43ABBY LEE MILLER: Really?
- 5:44I am tired of this.
- 5:46The moms are outside in my parking lot.
- 5:48I've had it.
- 5:49I'm going to go out there and find out what's going on.
- 5:52Ladies, what's going on?
- 5:55I'm waiting to do the pyramid.
- 5:56I've been waiting and waiting and waiting.
- 5:59Ladies, what's going on?
- 6:02Holly, something has to be going on
- 6:03or you would never be so rude to me personally.
- 6:06You guys are having a-- what is it called-- a sit-in.
- 6:10Ladies, are we this upset over one new student?
- 6:14Are you that jealous?
- 6:16If you're doing this for Kelly, you're a fool.
- 6:18This is completely unprofessional.
- 6:21Do you think that your kids are going
- 6:22to go on and work professionally after this behavior?
- 6:24That's ridiculous.
- 6:25Melissa, I tried to tell you.
- 6:27Your kid's working her butt off doing a solo every week.
- 6:30And the other kids are broken, lying on the floor whining.
- 6:34When Abby comes out, it's like the scene from "Jurassic Park."
- 6:37We're all sitting in our cars and, like, here comes
- 6:39the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
- 6:40Holly's not moving.
- 6:42And I'm thinking, thank god, Holly, because they can sense
- 6:43movement.
- 6:44ABBY LEE MILLER: You're replaced.
- 6:45That's it. Finished.
- 6:46Done.
- 6:47See what happens to people?
- 6:48You do all this crap for their kid,
- 6:49you get them to win a national championship, and then they
- 6:52[bleep] all over you.
- 6:53They start when they're 3 years old.
- 6:54They don't know their right foot from their left.
- 6:56Their kid becomes a star.
- 6:58They're winning titles.
- 6:59And the parents suddenly think they know something more.
- 7:02Let's go.
- 7:02Let's get on the phone.
- 7:04We have to replace all these kids.
- 7:07We have one great soloist, right?
- 7:09All right.
- 7:11Thank you.
- 7:13PHONE OPERATOR: (ON PHONE) Allegheny County, 911,
- 7:14what's your emergency? ABBY LEE MILLER: Hi.
- 7:15I have a trespassing issue.
- 7:18PHONE OPERATOR: (ON PHONE) Your name?
- 7:19Abby Miller.
- 7:20There's just four cars of people in my parking lot
- 7:24that will not move.
- 7:25I just want the police to tell them
- 7:27they need to move their cars.
- 7:28They need to be off my lot.
- 7:29PHONE OPERATOR: (ON PHONE) All right.
- 7:31ABBY LEE MILLER: Bye bye.
- 7:32[sighs] I have tons of kids dying to be on this competition
- 7:35team.
- 7:37So I want to go back to the files from the competition
- 7:38and call people that can get in their cars right now
- 7:41and drive to Pittsburgh and be here for rehearsal tomorrow.
- 7:45Times, they are a changin'.
- 7:47Yes, hi.
- 7:48This is Abby Lee Miller.
- 7:49Is there a Kaeli there that attended an open call audition
- 7:53for me?
- 7:53WOMAN: (ON PHONE) Yeah.
- 7:54Yes.
- 7:56I need you to find a way to get her here tomorrow.
- 8:02I understand that you have a very talented little girl.
- 8:05I've been hearing from everybody that she is 10 times better
- 8:08than Maddie.
- 8:09How can we get you on a plane tomorrow?
- 8:12Come to Pittsburgh to the Abby Lee Dance Company
- 8:15and compete with my team.
- 8:21[police siren]
- 8:22Bella's in.
- 8:24She's there and she'll be there with her at 1 o'clock tomorrow.
- 8:27CHRISTI: And he's pulling behind us.
- 8:29ABBY LEE MILLER: I don't even know what we're doing,
- 8:31but we're the Abby Lee Dance Company.
- 8:33We're national champions.
- 8:34And we'll come up with something.
- 8:36The show must go on.
- 8:37WOMAN: (ON PHONE) OK, we'll make it happen.
- 8:39ABBY LEE MILLER: All right. Thank you.
- 8:41WOMAN: (ON PHONE) You as well. ABBY LEE MILLER: Thank you.
- 8:42Bye.
- 8:43WOMAN: (ON PHONE) All right, bye bye.
- 8:46We're [inaudible] we got a way better group than we started
- 8:48with.
- 9:01JILL: Hello?
- 9:01Anybody home?
- 9:02Hey.
- 9:03Look at what the cat dragged in.
- 9:04Look what the cat dragged in?
- 9:06You're out of your radius to be shown with your stretch pants
- 9:08on there. - I know.
- 9:09I'm in the area running some errands here and there,
- 9:11and I find myself close to my old studio.
- 9:13So I figure, why not stop by Candy Apples
- 9:16and see what's going on in there.
- 9:18So are you guys missing me?
- 9:20Not so much.
- 9:22What's going on with you?
- 9:23Well, we came back from break.
- 9:25And Kelly and the kids, her two kids, didn't show up.
- 9:28So Abby threw them out.
- 9:30Took them off the pyramid.
- 9:31Said they're not welcome back.
- 9:33And as of right now, the kids have no place to dance.
- 9:36So, Jill, you're here because you want a place on my team?
- 9:41I was in the area.
- 9:42I'm headed through.
- 9:44I thought I could stop in and have a grown-up conversation
- 9:47with you.
- 9:49Jill, when have we ever had a grown-up conversation?
- 9:50You know what? You're right.
- 9:51I should have known better.
- 9:53And if you're looking for another dance studio in Ohio,
- 9:56that's kind of silly, because you've done that
- 9:58and you've tried that.
- 9:59And furthermore, aren't you a studio hopper?
- 10:01No.
- 10:02You should take your tails elsewhere.
- 10:04All right.
- 10:05But that's not why I came to Ohio and you know it.
- 10:07Now I know why I left this place.
- 10:09Nothing has changed.
- 10:10Same old Kathy.
- 10:11She always has some insult to hurl at you.
- 10:14That's an awfully little Louis Vuitton you got there.
- 10:17Bye, Jill, thanks for coming.
- 10:19I'll see you later.
- 10:20JILL: Whatever.
- 10:20It's always a pleasure.
- 10:29ABBY LEE MILLER: Hello, sweetie.
- 10:30Hey.
- 10:31ABBY LEE MILLER: We do not have time to waste today--
- 10:32How are y'all doing today?
- 10:33--because as soon as those other kids get here,
- 10:35we're starting the group.
- 10:36So you need to get in there, work on your solo,
- 10:38and make sure that you want to win this.
- 10:40After yesterdays headaches with the moms, I made a decision.
- 10:44I'm going to replace the entire team.
- 10:46I have a whole new team and they're on their way
- 10:49to rehearsal right now.
- 10:52Hey, girls.
- 10:53How you doing?
- 10:54Hi.
- 10:55Thank you, moms, for coming. MARCIA: Thanks for having us.
- 10:57Yeah!
- 10:57This is exciting.
- 10:59We're excited to be here.
- 11:00These kids are the new Abby Lee Dance Company competition
- 11:02team, and they better work.
- 11:06They better work hard, they better love what they're doing,
- 11:08and they better be appreciative for the opportunity.
- 11:11This is Bella?
- 11:12You are 10 years old?
- 11:13You are tall.
- 11:14MARCIA: She is tall.
- 11:15And Kaeli.
- 11:17And we have Ally.
- 11:19We have one little girl that's flying in.
- 11:21I really appreciate you giving everything up and putting
- 11:24your life on hold just to get here quickly.
- 11:26GLORIA: Sure.
- 11:27Their moms better learn from everyone else's mistakes.
- 11:32MARCIA: This is a huge deal, right?
- 11:33You're going to be part of the group.
- 11:35So you have to go in there, show them what you got.
- 11:37Good job [inaudible].
- 11:38I'm proud of you both, OK?
- 11:40You have to go in there and earn your spot on this team.
- 11:42Give daddy proud, OK?
- 11:43I want any opportunity for Bella.
- 11:46And anything that comes Bella's way,
- 11:49we will do everything we can to help make that happen for her.
- 11:52This is Shelly.
- 11:54Hi, Shelly.
- 11:55ABBY LEE MILLER: She is from Louisiana.
- 11:56- Shelly. - Oh, wow.
- 11:57Marcia. Nice to meet you.
- 11:58GLORIA: Gloria. - Nice to meet you.
- 12:00GLORIA: Nice to meet you too.
- 12:01I think you're in Kelly's seat.
- 12:03- Oh, no. - Uh oh.
- 12:04You're in trouble now.
- 12:05ABBY LEE MILLER: I don't know.
- 12:06I try not to ever look up here.
- 12:07Where is everybody?
- 12:11You have to trust me.
- 12:12I know what I'm doing.
- 12:13Everyone's replaceable.
- 12:15All right?
- 12:16Here we go.
- 12:18People have to make decisions based
- 12:20on what works best for them.
- 12:21And if that was the decision that the dance moms had
- 12:24to make, then that's on them.
- 12:26It's giving Kaeli and other girls
- 12:28an opportunity that they wouldn't have
- 12:30and that's fantastic.
- 12:32CHRISTI: I personally think that this is so much nicer
- 12:35than sitting up in dance jail.
- 12:37I think she was just looking for an excuse.
- 12:38Right. Oh, yeah.
- 12:39Absolutely.
- 12:40Because she's been dying to replace us.
- 12:41I think that's all it was.
- 12:42But she said, I've been doing this for 32 years.
- 12:44Nobody knew your name until our kids danced under it.
- 12:47This weekend, they're going to go away,
- 12:49and people are going to be at wherever they're going--
- 12:51And they're going to be expecting to see our kids.
- 12:52They're going to be expecting to see our kids.
- 12:54HOLLY: Absolutely.
- 12:55Because people go to these things to see our kids dance.
- 12:57What if we put together a dance or something
- 12:59and we found a place where the girls can perform?
- 13:01We'll just put it up on social media.
- 13:03Oh, that would be nice.
- 13:04This performance will send such a huge statement to Abby.
- 13:07Look at all the talent that she just let walk out of her door.
- 13:10And I really think that this performance needs to be
- 13:12the performance of a lifetime.
- 13:14We choreograph something on our own.
- 13:15Yeah, we can't use any of Abby's choreographing.
- 13:17HOLLY: And then costumes.
- 13:18I can tell you who can do the choreography.
- 13:20Who?
- 13:21The girls.
- 13:23I'm thinking this might be good.
- 13:25I think it'll be fun.
- 13:26I think there's still a lot to be gained from it.
- 13:28Oh, I'm so excited. Oh!
- 13:32Hello?
- 13:33YVETTE: (ON PHONE) Abby, this is Yvette.
- 13:34How are you?
- 13:35Good. How are you?
- 13:37YVETTE: (ON PHONE): I'm fantastic.
- 13:38Thank you.
- 13:39I hear you're going to be competing
- 13:41in Indiana this weekend.
- 13:43I am.
- 13:44I would love to see you.
- 13:45Are you going to be around?
- 13:46Yes, we're going to be there.
- 13:47ABBY LEE MILLER: (ON PHONE) Oh, god.
- 13:49It should be exciting.
- 13:50Is--
- 13:51YVETTE: (ON PHONE) Hadley
- 13:52Is she competing?
- 13:53She's actually competing in a solo,
- 13:57and we're bringing a group number as well.
- 13:58ABBY LEE MILLER: (ON PHONE) All right, super.
- 14:00Well then we're going to see you there?
- 14:01You're going to see me.
- 14:02Absolutely.
- 14:03OK, super.
- 14:05My name is Yvette.
- 14:06My daughter and I were on "Abby's Ultimate Dance
- 14:08Competition."
- 14:09It was an amazing experience, but along with that
- 14:14came many ups and downs.
- 14:16Hadley, are you excited for the season?
- 14:18I guess.
- 14:18Kind of.
- 14:20I've been really worried about you since "Abby's Ultimate
- 14:22Dance Competition."
- 14:23I've been worried about the things that Abby said to you.
- 14:26Made you question if you want to continue to dance or not.
- 14:29I feel when Abby found out that I was a dance teacher myself,
- 14:33I think things turned.
- 14:35I think Abby tried to get to me through Hadley.
- 14:39She tried to break you.
- 14:41Shame on her.
- 14:42It's just different going to dance every day,
- 14:46because I still have those words in my head.
- 14:48Which words keep popping into your head
- 14:50when you go in the dance room?
- 14:51PA: Abby, I'm reading your facial expression
- 14:54and you don't seem that happy.
- 14:56Should I say roadkill?
- 15:00You're not roadkill.
- 15:01Just hearing her say that, I've never had someone
- 15:06say that to me before, like, call me that.
- 15:10Don't let "roadkill" come back into play at all.
- 15:14I say all the time, you get what you give.
- 15:16Abby Lee Miller will get it back someday.
- 15:20All right, so can I see it one time?
- 15:22Because she's going to be coming in here, and I want
- 15:24you guys to be perfect.
- 15:25You know, Sophia is, like, better than Maddie.
- 15:28Like, she's amazing.
- 15:29So you want to be equally as amazing.
- 15:31Sophia is the last member of our team to arrive.
- 15:34She's a child prodigy.
- 15:36She's all over the internet.
- 15:37She's made appearances on TV.
- 15:39And she's a major deal at dance competitions.
- 15:42And she is on her way here.
- 15:45Hello, Sophia.
- 15:47Goodbye, Maddie.
- 15:48She doesn't know the dance.
- 15:49She doesn't know anything.
- 15:50She's going to waltz in here and be the star
- 15:53and take over if you let her.
- 15:54Why would you say that to these guys?
- 15:56That's nice.
- 15:57Let's go.
- 15:58You don't know how to make that kind of announcement
- 16:00to a bunch of kids who have been here working all day.
- 16:02JACKIE: Hello!
- 16:03Hello.
- 16:04Hi, Miss Abby.
- 16:05Good. How are you?
- 16:06Good. How are you?
- 16:07Good.
- 16:07It's good to see you.
- 16:09Well, welcome, star.
- 16:11Yes?
- 16:13My new Maddie.
- 16:14I'm thrilled.
- 16:15Come on.
- 16:16Let's go.
- 16:17Sophia is 10 years old and dances like a seasoned pro.
- 16:20She's an itty bitty little thing.
- 16:22She is definitely my Maddie replacement.
- 16:27This is Sophia.
- 16:28This is Ally, and Kaeli, and Bella.
- 16:31Hi!
- 16:32- Hi! - Hi.
- 16:33JACKIE: How are you? - Hi.
- 16:35I'm Jackie. MARCIA: Hi, Jackie.
- 16:36Hi, I'm Gloria.
- 16:37JACKIE: Nice to meet you.
- 16:38It's nice to meet you.
- 16:39We just got here.
- 16:40ABBY LEE MILLER: And one.
- 16:44Nice.
- 16:45She announced the star was almost here.
- 16:46The star was coming.
- 16:47ABBY LEE MILLER: Pretty, pretty, pretty.
- 16:49Bold change.
- 16:50Spin.
- 16:52And go, girls.
- 16:54Where is everybody else?
- 16:55Like, where are all the other--
- 16:56- No clue. - Do we know?
- 16:58That's the question of the hour.
- 16:59- Do you know? - No.
- 17:00Do you mind going over the walking thing one more time?
- 17:04She's so cute.
- 17:05Say that again.
- 17:07Do you mind walking through where I walked through
- 17:10before the lift again, if that makes sense?
- 17:14ABBY LEE MILLER: Oh, you make perfect sense.
- 17:15It's just that voice is killing me.
- 17:17You know, Minnie Mouse has a job.
- 17:19We don't need another one.
- 17:20Let's go.
- 17:21As long as Sophia is dancing, I love her.
- 17:24But as soon as she starts talking, woo!
- 17:27I have to lower that voice.
- 17:29Dig down into your diaphragm.
- 17:30Do you take voice lessons?
- 17:31No.
- 17:33You don't?
- 17:34No.
- 17:35Oh, maybe while you're here, you can.
- 17:36You need to dig down deep in there and find a voice.
- 17:39All right.
- 17:53MOMS: Hi, Sophia.
- 17:54Hey.
- 17:56Did you guys bring your solo costume?
- 17:57You guys bring your costumes? - No.
- 17:59We have no solos.
- 18:00MARCIA: We don't have solos, so we don't have costumes.
- 18:02HOLLY: So we don't need costumes.
- 18:03Well, I brought mine.
- 18:07Hello.
- 18:08Good morning.
- 18:09Good morning.
- 18:10All I know is that I want to win.
- 18:13I want to protect the name of the Abby Lee Dance Company.
- 18:17So what do I do?
- 18:18I give Sophia a solo.
- 18:20She is my ace in the hole.
- 18:22You're going to finish your solo.
- 18:24You guys are going to rehearse the group.
- 18:26We are traveling to Fort Wayne, Indiana.
- 18:29It's called Dance Expressions.
- 18:31We are doing the competition tomorrow.
- 18:34You are going to keep my reputation.
- 18:38This is an important weekend for me.
- 18:39I'm debuting the new ALDC team.
- 18:43Everyone's going to see that the faces have changed,
- 18:45but the Abby Lee Dance Company name is as strong as ever.
- 18:49Now remember, this is it, kiddo.
- 18:51You don't even have a dance finish yet,
- 18:52and you're doing it tomorrow.
- 18:53Let's do it.
- 18:54Go, kid.
- 18:56Sassy.
- 18:58So what's Sophia's solo about?
- 18:59It's called My New Reality.
- 19:01And it's about Abby's new reality.
- 19:03Really?
- 19:04Because she's got new dancers and--
- 19:05I don't know.
- 19:06She keeps calling her--
- 19:07you're replacing Maddie.
- 19:09That's the new reality, I guess.
- 19:11GLORIA: The new star.
- 19:13MARCIA: I don't even know why I'm here at this point.
- 19:14This is ridiculous.
- 19:15Like, why did I bring my kid?
- 19:17Doesn't bother me at all.
- 19:19My Maddie doesn't have to dance against them anyway.
- 19:21I hope Sophia does well.
- 19:24She'll be great.
- 19:25She'll be fine.
- 19:26Pretty.
- 19:27It's use both hand.
- 19:28[inaudible]
- 19:30(SINGING) I was holding tightly--
- 19:31The group dance is called Cry.
- 19:33It's a lyrical routine and it's beautiful, and elegant,
- 19:36and feminine.
- 19:37(SINGING) A secret locked down inside.
- 19:40ABBY LEE MILLER: It's also about saying goodbye.
- 19:44Saying goodbye to the old things,
- 19:46and welcoming in new experiences.
- 19:48And that's exactly what the Abby Lee Dance Company is doing.
- 19:52We are moving on.
- 19:58KELLY: I'm having all the girls and the moms at my house today.
- 20:01And I'm really excited to have everybody together
- 20:03just because we haven't been together in so long.
- 20:06I think it's going to be fun, but we have a lot of stuff
- 20:08that we need to talk about.
- 20:09Well, first we have to tell the girls why we're here.
- 20:11They don't know yet why they're here.
- 20:13So we thought it would be fun for you guys
- 20:14to do a performance somewhere.
- 20:17GIRL: We get to make it up?
- 20:18Yes.
- 20:19No, we get to make it up.
- 20:20No!
- 20:21[laughter]
- 20:23This is a big deal for the girls and for the moms.
- 20:25We need to show everyone that we don't need Abby.
- 20:29She needs us.
- 20:30I think one of the biggest messages
- 20:32that we need to prove as the group is that Abby needs you
- 20:36guys more than you need her.
- 20:37So we figured that we would find a place that you guys could
- 20:40go and perform.
- 20:41There would be no judges.
- 20:42There would be no pressure.
- 20:44Oh, that sounds so fun.
- 20:45So where is this going to take place?
- 20:47I have a call in to a place, a mall nearby.
- 20:50I just need confirmation.
- 20:51So it's going to be, I think, at a local mall.
- 20:53Oh, that's kind of fun.
- 20:55And we can shop.
- 20:56Oh!
- 20:57I could care less what Abby's doing with this new imposter
- 21:00dance team.
- 21:00It really doesn't matter to me.
- 21:02I just got a text message from Shelly.
- 21:04It says, hey, just letting you know that Sophia just got here.
- 21:07She just keeps telling me, like, they're replacing our kids
- 21:11with kids.
- 21:12HOLLY: [inaudible] Abby is, good luck with that.
- 21:14Oh, lovely.
- 21:15Let's go see what the girls are up to.
- 21:16I want to go see--
- 21:17I want to see what they're doing.
- 21:19We can't worry about Abby's replacement team.
- 21:20You know what?
- 21:22She replaced the whole team, but you can't be the original
- 21:23because they're not replaceable.
- 21:25We need to worry about focusing on the dance
- 21:28and making it perfection because we have a big Abby-free debut
- 21:31coming up and it has to be amazing.
- 21:34ABBY LEE MILLER: All right, moms, this is it.
- 21:35We're crunch time here.
- 21:37I was just informed that one of the kids I judged
- 21:40over the break is coming to the competition.
- 21:43And the mother called me.
- 21:45Her name is Yvette.
- 21:47Her daughter's name is Hadley.
- 21:48Oh, OK.
- 21:49I'm warning you.
- 21:51She does not like me because I told her that her daughter
- 21:53looked like roadkill.
- 21:54Oh, my god.
- 21:55And they have a group against our group.
- 21:57Hadley is doing a solo in 9 to 11.
- 22:00So I called your daughter roadkill.
- 22:02Get over it, lady.
- 22:03Let it go.
- 22:04This competition is huge.
- 22:06We're going to walk into that theater,
- 22:09and people are going to expect to see Brooke, and Chloe, Nia,
- 22:15Maddie.
- 22:16And they're going to see Ali, Bella, Kaeli, Sophia.
- 22:20This can make you or break you.
- 22:23You step out on that stage and you guys
- 22:25win the overall high score, suddenly,
- 22:29they could be household names.
- 22:31Do you understand what I'm saying?
- 22:33I've got huge expectations for the competition this weekend.
- 22:36And if these new girls don't meet them,
- 22:39I'll make a few more phone calls.
- 22:46HOLLY: You got to stay
- 22:47HOLLY: You got to stay together.
- 22:48Come on. Hurry up.
- 22:48Hurry up.
- 22:49Stay together.
- 22:50HOLLY: I'd like to know where the people are.
- 22:52CHRISTI: There is no one here.
- 22:53Well, I hope we didn't do all this for nothing.
- 22:55I'm hoping not, because then Abby would really--
- 22:57CHRISTI: Oh, she would be like--
- 22:58HOLLY: --get a satisfaction.
- 22:59CHRISTI: [mimicking abby complaining]
- 23:00See, you really do need me.
- 23:01The mall is practically empty.
- 23:03There's not a soul in sight.
- 23:05So our post-Abby might be over before it even starts.
- 23:09It's competition day and we're here in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
- 23:13Hi!
- 23:14[cheering]
- 23:16This is huge for me.
- 23:18We are debuting the new Abby Lee Dance Company competition team,
- 23:22and they have to win and win big.
- 23:26Do you know any of these kids?
- 23:28Because those are none of our kids.
- 23:29YVETTE: I mean, I knew she had auditions two weeks ago.
- 23:31Right.
- 23:32ABBY LEE MILLER: How are you?
- 23:34ABBY LEE MILLER: Good.
- 23:35No hug, no kiss?
- 23:36HADLEY: Nice to see you again.
- 23:38Good to see you, sweetie.
- 23:40You've been working on those feet?
- 23:41Yes.
- 23:42Good, good, good. How are you?
- 23:43I'm good. How are you?
- 23:44ABBY LEE MILLER: Good.
- 23:45Take care.
- 23:46You have a new team?
- 23:47Yeah, you know, every once in a while,
- 23:49you have to put the trash out.
- 23:51KELLY: All right.
- 23:52Everybody get into your spots.
- 23:54Let's go.
- 23:55We're going to run out of time, guys.
- 23:57SONG: (SINGING) Find a way to make it all make sense.
- 24:00Give myself more time to breathe.
- 24:02I gotta have it all.
- 24:03CHRISTI: You can't look confused there, Chloe.
- 24:04No, you guys are all off.
- 24:06Find a window.
- 24:07No one should be behind anybody.
- 24:09KELLY: Do a pose at the end.
- 24:11I think this performance will be a huge statement to Abby.
- 24:14All the talent that she let walk out the door was a big mistake.
- 24:18We need to make this performance amazing.
- 24:27ABBY LEE MILLER: Ally listen to me.
- 24:29Last week, you were part of a team,
- 24:31a championship overall high school winning team,
- 24:34and they abandoned you.
- 24:36So you're on your own, kiddo.
- 24:37Make it count.
- 24:39This is an important solo for Ally.
- 24:41Last week, she was superb in the group number.
- 24:45But now, she's on her own.
- 24:49OK.
- 24:51Kaeli wants to show her that she is a good dancer,
- 24:54she's a good soloist.
- 24:56But I think that she's very concerned about impressing Miss
- 24:59Abby.
- 25:00I'm going to go down to the front lobby
- 25:03and see if they'll let me get a solo in for you.
- 25:05Is that OK?
- 25:10Just start running through it and make sure that you know.
- 25:13Start warming up, all right?
- 25:14And I'll see what I can find out.
- 25:15All right?
- 25:16I want Kaeli to have a solo because I want
- 25:18to show Abby what she could do.
- 25:21ABBY LEE MILLER: Sophia, listen to me.
- 25:23This isn't just about Hadley.
- 25:24You're going to beat Hadley.
- 25:26This goes back to Maddie, this goes back to Chloe.
- 25:29If they were here right now, they would be the ones going up
- 25:32against Hadley.
- 25:34JACKIE: I'm not sure if it's a lot of pressure for Sophia
- 25:36to fill Maddie's shoes.
- 25:37I think that Sophia as a dancer in her own right
- 25:41has her own style and her own strengths.
- 25:43It's like apples and oranges.
- 25:44All right, we got to get rolling.
- 25:46Come on.
- 25:47We got to go.
- 25:48First up are the solos.
- 25:49Ally and Sophia better prove to me
- 25:51that they have what it takes to be part of the Abby Lee Dance
- 25:55Company competition team.
- 25:56They better not disappoint me.
- 26:12PA: Ladies and gentlemen, taking the stage right now,
- 26:16here is Ally with "Forever and a Day."
- 26:20[MUSIC - CHRISTINA LI, "FOREVER AND A DAY"]
- 26:29(SINGING) Something about the way he moves cuts in me
- 26:35and pulls out the wires.
- 26:39Starts a fire.
- 26:44But I was told that when you love something,
- 26:54you have to let it go.
- 26:57In bed with you forever, forever and a day.
- 27:09[applause]
- 27:16YVETTE: I'm a nervous wreck.
- 27:18And I just want Hadley to do the best that she can do and nail
- 27:21her routine.
- 27:22PA: Junior Solo Division, here is Hadley with "More."
- 27:31[MUSIC - CLOONEY, "MORE, MORE, MORE"]
- 27:39(SINGING) Word up.
- 27:40The boys arrived.
- 27:42And my lips start moving when you walk in the room.
- 27:45So come and give me.
- 27:46Your eyes, your style, your smile.
- 27:49Got a sky high, supersize jonesin' for you.
- 27:52So come and give me animal, chemical.
- 27:54All you got, I'm so deep in it.
- 27:58I can't get enough.
- 27:59Yeah, I like it.
- 28:00I love it.
- 28:01It's true.
- 28:02So come and give me.
- 28:04So what you got to do is give me all you got.
- 28:07I'm so deep in it.
- 28:09I can't get enough.
- 28:10Yeah, I like it.
- 28:11I love it.
- 28:12It's true.
- 28:13So come and give me.
- 28:14So what you got to do is give me more.
- 28:18[applause]
- 28:20PA: That was entry number 10, Hadley with "More."
- 28:27I get so nervous before I go on stage.
- 28:29I always have to shake out my nerves.
- 28:31I'm a little bit of headcase sometimes.
- 28:33PA: This is entry number 27, Sophia!
- 28:36[applause]
- 28:39[MUSIC - ANALOGUE REVOLUTION, "NEW REALITY"]
- 28:47(SINGING) Is this a dream?
- 28:49Is this a dream?
- 28:54I've followed you for so long.
- 28:58I wonder, is there something wrong with me?
- 29:02Is this a dream?
- 29:04Is this a dream, or could it be a new reality?
- 29:09Is this a dream?
- 29:11Is this a dream, or could it be a new reality?
- 29:18Just you and me.
- 29:22New reality.
- 29:27[applause]
- 29:32ABBY LEE MILLER: Sophia came out on that stage like a tornado,
- 29:35and she ripped through that audience
- 29:38like there was no tomorrow.
- 29:39She truly dances like it's the last time she's ever
- 29:42going to dance.
- 29:43Woo!
- 29:44Yeah.
- 29:45ABBY LEE MILLER: Give me a hug!
- 29:46You were something out there.
- 29:49You just had everybody in the palm of your hand.
- 29:51I wish Paige and Chloe's mom would have been sitting
- 29:53in that audience.
- 29:54Hi, good morning.
- 29:56How are you? - Good.
- 29:57how are you? - Hi.
- 29:58Is it too late to add a solo entry?
- 30:00I thought Kaeli deserved a solo, and I wanted
- 30:02it to be her opportunity to show Abby what she had in case
- 30:06it was, OK, this is your audition
- 30:08and if you don't cut it today, then you're done.
- 30:09We're with Abby Lee Dance Company.
- 30:11OK.
- 30:12Yeah, I just want--
- 30:13my daughter, I'm trying to enter my daughter,
- 30:14but Abby's really busy, so I was going to just take
- 30:17care of it for her.
- 30:18ABBY LEE MILLER: Come on.
- 30:19We need to run the dance.
- 30:21Let's get out here with Ally and let's--
- 30:21So what's going on?
- 30:22What?
- 30:23Everyone's doing their solo now but her?
- 30:25What are you talking about?
- 30:26Kaeli's going over her solo.
- 30:28Kaeli is not doing a solo.
- 30:29MARCIA: I was told she was doing a solo.
- 30:31By who-- by me?
- 30:32No.
- 30:34She said she was doing a solo, everyone's doing a solo.
- 30:35She's probably going to the director
- 30:37to try to write her own kid in.
- 30:39And that means she's off this team.
- 30:41That's how it'll work.
- 30:42If that woman Glo goes behind my back
- 30:44and enters that kid for a solo, she's out of the group.
- 30:48I'm not taking this crap from any mother.
- 30:50GLORIA: What are you doing?
- 30:56How did she know where I was?
- 31:01After I called her and got her here?
- 31:04ABBY LEE MILLER: Where's your BFF?
- 31:05I have no idea.
- 31:07Are you a little shocked?
- 31:08MARCIA: A little disappointed.
- 31:09I wouldn't have ever thought she'd do something like that.
- 31:11ABBY LEE MILLER: And where were you?
- 31:12I was checking to see if we could get a solo in case you
- 31:15needed it for later.
- 31:16But apparently, I was ratted out, right?
- 31:18MARCIA: Look, I walk in, she's running her solo.
- 31:21She-- GLORIA: Whatever, Marcia.
- 31:22Like you wouldn't jump on it right now if you could.
- 31:24Do I have a costume with me?
- 31:25You wouldn't have tried the same thing if you thought you
- 31:27could have gotten away with it?
- 31:28I absolutely would not have.
- 31:29If Abby requested it, Glo, absolutely I would have.
- 31:30Right. It's fine.
- 31:32You know what, Kaeli, we're going to go stretch.
- 31:33It's fine.
- 31:35MARCIA: I won't ever forget that you did this to my daughter.
- 31:36I don't care.
- 31:37I respected you as your teacher.
- 31:38Done. - Well, you know what?
- 31:39You should respect me for calling her
- 31:41when I didn't have to.
- 31:42No, you--
- 31:43I could have brought Kaeli and I could have left--
- 31:44This is over, Glo.
- 31:45It's done. - Good.
- 31:46Bye.
- 31:47These new dance moms are acting a lot like the old dance
- 31:50moms.
- 31:51What is it about me?
- 31:52Why do I attract all the crazy ones?
- 32:09Look in their face.
- 32:10We have 10 minutes to be down there, and you have to win.
- 32:15The theme is cry.
- 32:17Who's crying now?
- 32:18The kids that are sitting in Pittsburgh not getting
- 32:21any better, not performing, not dancing.
- 32:25I need my new team members to show me
- 32:28that they've got what it takes.
- 32:29Ready, girls?
- 32:30This is the new ALDC.
- 32:321, 2, 3, woo!
- 32:38PA: We're coming up to entry number 56.
- 32:42From the Juniors Small Group Division,
- 32:45here they are with Criminal of Love.
- 32:50[MUSIC - CHARLIE, "I'M A CRIMINAL"]
- 32:55(SINGING) It's written out in my eyes.
- 32:57I'm always, every time, following the party rules.
- 33:02You're close to getting cash, and I don't mind that.
- 33:06At least I ain't a killer of love.
- 33:08Love, love.
- 33:09I'm a criminal.
- 33:10Can't you see me?
- 33:12I'm a criminal.
- 33:13Can't you see?
- 33:15I'm a criminal.
- 33:16I be such a bad, a bad girl.
- 33:18A bad girl.
- 33:19The criminal is only me.
- 33:30[applause]
- 33:32PA: That was entry number 56, Criminal of Love.
- 33:41Taking the stage right now is entry number 71.
- 33:44Here comes Isabella, Sophia, Ally, and Kaeli with "Cry."
- 33:54[music - courtney smith, "cry"]
- 33:56(SINGING) I was holding tightly to a thread of hope.
- 34:03A secret locked down inside.
- 34:10The prospect of us at the end of the road.
- 34:18Now a sadness I can't seem to hide.
- 34:24I wanna cry.
- 34:28I wanna cry.
- 34:31Just let the tears come out, so I can try to say goodbye.
- 34:38You moved on, and so must I.
- 34:46[applause]
- 34:52ABBY LEE MILLER: Were they perfect?
- 34:53No.
- 34:54I thought they were beautiful, but I don't
- 34:56know what the judges thought.
- 34:57Was it enough to beat Yvette's competition team?
- 35:00They better hope so.
- 35:01PA: We're going to get this thing started right away.
- 35:03We're going to start with our Teen Solo Division.
- 35:07Third place, with a score of 273.4 points, Dimples.
- 35:14Second place with a score of 276.9 points, entry number 36,
- 35:20"Forever and a Day."
- 35:25ABBY LEE MILLER: I'm livid about Ally not winning.
- 35:28I think on technique alone, she deserved that win.
- 35:31PA: Now the elite junior solo division.
- 35:38In second place, with a total of 276.3 points--
- 35:42There's no question in my mind we're going to be Abby.
- 35:45PA: --entry number 10, More.
- 35:48YVETTE: I'll take that.
- 35:51We will take that.
- 35:52We'll take that.
- 35:53PA: And in first place in your Junior Solo Division,
- 35:56number 27, New Reality.
- 36:00Woo!
- 36:02Good job, [inaudible].
- 36:03Woo!
- 36:06Hadley wasn't exactly roadkill.
- 36:08She was just the road, and Sophia drove right over her.
- 36:14Good job, girls!
- 36:16PA: Moving into our Junior Small Group Division,
- 36:20in third place with a total score of 275.6 points, Sweet
- 36:25Dreams.
- 36:29In second place, with a told a score of 280.5 points, entry
- 36:35number 72, Pride.
- 36:41And in first place, entry number 56, Criminal of Love.
- 36:51I was mortified when that group number from Thrive
- 36:55beat us.
- 36:55I mean, come on.
- 36:57Hadley, Yvette, her kids do not deserve to win.
- 37:04It was an amazing day.
- 37:07I'm on Cloud nine, and so Thrive Dance Company.
- 37:10What an accomplishment.
- 37:11Congratulations.
- 37:14Congrats.
- 37:15What a competition.
- 37:16What a great competition.
- 37:17Yeah, no, they were great.
- 37:18They were great.
- 37:19Your kids were great as well.
- 37:21You know, I think we make a great team.
- 37:24You scare me. No way.
- 37:25Oh, no.
- 37:26Hadley, I figured out our bond.
- 37:28The daughters of dance teachers.
- 37:29- That's right. - I know.
- 37:30See? YVETTE: Oh, we see it.
- 37:32That's it. - See?
- 37:32Aw.
- 37:34If you're not in it to win it--
- 37:35You're in the way.
- 37:36ABBY LEE MILLER: You're in the way.
- 37:37See, I know your things now.
- 37:39So I can do them with her.
- 37:40Yes?
- 37:41All right.
- 37:43[cheering]
- 37:48Hi!
- 37:52I would like to introduce Chloe, Maddie, Brooke,
- 37:57Paige, and [inaudible] Kendall, and [inaudible]..
- 38:01Thank you for coming!
- 38:03[MUSIC - LEE BAKER & LAURA VANE, "PUSH UP THE BEAT"]
- 38:08(SINGING) There are days when I'm down on the floor and all
- 38:12I do is smile.
- 38:13Drifting into weeks or more when I don't touch base with myself.
- 38:17And I find a way to make it all make sense.
- 38:20Give myself more time to breathe.
- 38:23Gotta have it all, gotta manage my life,
- 38:25but I keep on thinking.
- 38:27Shake up the day and we kick into play
- 38:31until the night turns into day.
- 38:34Push up the beat.
- 38:35Keep it moving.
- 38:37You can tell me that I'm missing the point.
- 38:40We don't live too differently.
- 38:42You ponder all the time you've lost just to make ends meet.
- 38:46And so we kick up our shoes.
- 38:48And we let our hair loose.
- 38:51There's only one thing left to do.
- 38:53Push up the beat.
- 38:55Keep it moving.
- 39:00[cheering]
- 39:06Yay!
- 39:08You guys were [inaudible].
- 39:09CHRISTI: Oh, you did it!
- 39:12You did it!
- 39:13You did it!
- 39:14HOLLY: OK, how was it different than doing it with Abby?
- 39:17Was there any difference?
- 39:18Yes.
- 39:18It wasn't--
- 39:19Did anybody scream at you?
- 39:21GIRLS: No.
- 39:22I am so proud of our girls.
- 39:24I think their performance looked great.
- 39:26And they did it all on their own without Abby
- 39:28and that is the most important part.
- 39:30I know it wasn't what you would consider your best
- 39:34performance, but with the condition,
- 39:35you did the best you could.
- 39:36You should be proud of yourselves.
- 39:37You pulled this together.
- 39:40All in all, it was a great day, but it revealed a lot.
- 39:43The girls need discipline.
- 39:45They need a dance teacher.
- 39:46And it wasn't up to the standards that we're used to.
- 39:49I guess it's a lot to think about right now.
- 39:52Ally got second in her solo and second in the group.
- 39:56I mean, I don't know if that impacted the group in some way
- 39:59that if that's the best, then Abby might have a real problem.
- 40:03And I think right now to really put a good posture
- 40:07forward here, we might want to zip it in front the kids.
- 40:10OK?
- 40:15Ladies.
- 40:17Second?
- 40:19Second is not good enough for the Abby Lee Dance Company,
- 40:22especially when it was Yvette.
- 40:24Ally, could you tell the girls bye and everybody?
- 40:26ABBY LEE MILLER: Wait.
- 40:27Where are you going?
- 40:28I'm just trying to give space.
- 40:30Just trying to give some space.
- 40:33Shelly cracked.
- 40:34We saw the real Shelly, and out the door she went.
- 40:37See you later, Shelly.
- 40:39So part of me is happy that you pulled it together
- 40:42and everything, but part of me is livid, because it was Yvette
- 40:46and those kids.
- 40:48So I am disappointed in the group.
- 40:50Thank god for you, Sophia.
- 40:51Thank god.
- 40:53This team is just as disappointing as the old one.
- 40:55I have some tough decisions to make,
- 40:57and not everybody is going to be happy.
- 41:00Next on "Dance Moms."
- 41:02WOMAN: (SINGING) We went back to New Orleans.
- 41:03This is my livelihood.
- 41:05This is what I do.
- 41:06I don't have a husband that has a million dollar job.
- 41:09You give an inch, they take a yard.
- 41:11It's over.
- 41:12I've had enough.
- 41:14You are the only one left.
- 41:15You need to win your division and you need
- 41:18to win the entire competition.
- 41:20The only way she's going to let your kids back
- 41:22on that team, she needs to hear it from your girls.
- 41:24Oh, my god.
- 41:26They're right there.
