  1. 0:00hey this is Russell and today I've got
  2. 0:01four persuasion Seekers to help you sell
  3. 0:03more of your stuff online drive more
  4. 0:04traffic make more money have a lot more
  5. 0:06fun we're going to jump over here to the
  6. 0:07screen I'm going to show you guys four
  7. 0:08clips from a presentation I did funnel
  8. 0:10hacking live called persuasion Secrets
  9. 0:12uh I did half this presentation myself
  10. 0:14the second half was done by Mr me and
  11. 0:15golden and uh today I'm going to give
  12. 0:17you my half and if you enjoyed this part
  13. 0:18one of persuasion Secrets let me know in
  14. 0:20the comments down below we'll give you
  15. 0:21part two next week to go through all of
  16. 0:23myn's persuasion Secrets all right so
  17. 0:25principle number one is called social
  18. 0:26compliance this is one of my favorite
  19. 0:27ways to sell more on your webinars your
  20. 0:29live events anywhere you're trying to
  21. 0:30sell more learning how to use social
  22. 0:32compliance will change everything for
  23. 0:33you with that said let's jump in the
  24. 0:35first clip about social compliance from
  25. 0:36funnel hacking live the first principle
  26. 0:38I want to talk about when you are
  27. 0:40persuading people is a principle called
  28. 0:41social compliance here has ever heard of
  29. 0:43that
  30. 0:44before okay uh to begin with um I'm
  31. 0:46actually going to show really quick it's
  32. 0:47like a minute long trailer for a movie
  33. 0:50it's a documentary on Netflix called the
  34. 0:52push who here has ever seen the push
  35. 0:54before okay uh to set this up this
  36. 0:57documentary is crazy this is your
  37. 0:58assigned homework for the next week is
  38. 0:59go watch this but basically it was a
  39. 1:01social experiment to see what see if
  40. 1:03they could get somebody they'd met brand
  41. 1:05new and within a 90-minute window get
  42. 1:07that person to push somebody off of a
  43. 1:09building to their death could they
  44. 1:11actually do that a logically like
  45. 1:13there's no way that's not possible but
  46. 1:15as you watch the documentary the four
  47. 1:16people they took to it three of the four
  48. 1:18people thought they were pushing
  49. 1:19somebody to their death within 90
  50. 1:20minutes of the of the experiment
  51. 1:22starting and so I want to show you guys
  52. 1:23this documentary just because it's kind
  53. 1:25of creepy kind of evil but also there's
  54. 1:26some really cool principles we're going
  55. 1:27talk about so let's CU that documentary
  56. 1:29trailer right now
  57. 1:30Chris is in meshed in a Web of Lies and
  58. 1:33that's important I need him to feel like
  59. 1:35there's only one way out when he's told
  60. 1:38to commit
  61. 1:41murder my name is Darren Brown and the
  62. 1:44question we're considering is simple can
  63. 1:47we be manipulated through social
  64. 1:50pressure to commit
  65. 1:52murder 70 people coming in here they
  66. 1:55can't see this take them by their knees
  67. 1:5770 actors will be playing out a
  68. 1:58meticulously plann and rehearsed
  69. 2:00scenario to manipulate this man who has
  70. 2:03no idea he's being filmed come on guys
  71. 2:05what are we going to do he's a
  72. 2:06millionaire he's going to make sure you
  73. 2:08go to jail this show is about how
  74. 2:11readily we hand over authorship of our
  75. 2:13lives every day just one big push can
  76. 2:18social compliance be used to make
  77. 2:21someone push a living breathing human
  78. 2:24being to their death welcome to the push
  79. 2:34whoa so everyone's like do we clap
  80. 2:40that's all right so obviously my goal is
  81. 2:42not to get any of you guys to push
  82. 2:44somebody to their death in 90 minutes
  83. 2:45period time but there are many times in
  84. 2:47my life where I need to use compliance
  85. 2:49and things that to get somebody to run
  86. 2:50to the back of the room to buy my
  87. 2:51product to buy my service and so there's
  88. 2:53interesting things that by watching that
  89. 2:54documentary when you don't look at it
  90. 2:56through the evil side but through the uh
  91. 2:58just like how can you use this as a
  92. 2:59persuasion technique they're really
  93. 3:01powerful so I remember when I spoke at
  94. 3:03uh the very first 10x event one that had
  95. 3:05uh 9,000 people in the room uh in the
  96. 3:07Mandalay Bay and my goal is to set the
  97. 3:10record uh for the most sales in a
  98. 3:1190-minute period of time and I'm like
  99. 3:13how do I get people this is a huge
  100. 3:14audience the stadium was like it was
  101. 3:16just so big it was hard like how do you
  102. 3:18get Rapport and persuasion and how do
  103. 3:20you connect with people that are like
  104. 3:22from all over the place in this huge
  105. 3:23stadium and one of the things that I
  106. 3:25learned from watch this documentary was
  107. 3:26all about getting people to make these
  108. 3:27little micro commitments commitments and
  109. 3:29con consistency commitments and
  110. 3:30consistency right they didn't walk up to
  111. 3:32the person the very first time and say
  112. 3:33hey go push this person off the building
  113. 3:35cuz they would have said no instead what
  114. 3:36they had to do is like little things and
  115. 3:38so I thought okay how what's the first
  116. 3:39thing I can do to get everybody as a
  117. 3:41whole as a group to do a little thing
  118. 3:43I'm going to do an Ask that's get
  119. 3:44everybody to to to um to say yes to that
  120. 3:47and that'll be the very first ask and
  121. 3:48then I'll go to the next and the and the
  122. 3:49next okay so for those of you guys who
  123. 3:51had a chance to watch my presentation at
  124. 3:5210x what was the very first thing I did
  125. 3:54to build social compliance who here
  126. 3:56knows I had everybody pull their phone
  127. 3:58out I said everybody pull your phone out
  128. 4:00every get your thing and suddenly within
  129. 4:0230 seconds I had 9,000 people in the
  130. 4:04room all mirror and matching me all with
  131. 4:06the same phone and I asked them to do
  132. 4:08something they said yes I got people
  133. 4:10moving it around and we were mirroring
  134. 4:11and matching and everything was
  135. 4:12connected now I put it away and I
  136. 4:14already had this connection immediately
  137. 4:15with the audience where now we were
  138. 4:17connected as opposed to typically it's
  139. 4:19like oh there's this person on stage
  140. 4:20they're very disconnected and things
  141. 4:21like that and so by doing that I asked a
  142. 4:23little commitment and then I asked for
  143. 4:24another commitment and another
  144. 4:25commitment by the time I got to the end
  145. 4:27it wasn't crazy for me to ask for a
  146. 4:28commitment for them to go run and spend
  147. 4:30$3,000 uh for an account for
  148. 4:32clickfunnels does that make sense and so
  149. 4:34for all of you guys you can weave these
  150. 4:35social complian things into anything
  151. 4:36you're doing right just think about in
  152. 4:39the last how long we've been going a day
  153. 4:40and a half here at fun Hocking live I've
  154. 4:42asked you guys do a lot of things we had
  155. 4:43you guys stand up we had you sit down we
  156. 4:44had you do different things right I'm
  157. 4:45trying to build a rapport so that you
  158. 4:47guys will be able to move with me be
  159. 4:48able to connect with me and uh and move
  160. 4:50throughout the entire event and so
  161. 4:51that's principle number one is this
  162. 4:53insanely cool uh concept of social
  163. 4:55compliance and how to use it and weave
  164. 4:56it into all your presentations um and it
  165. 4:59works just as well like on a webinar
  166. 5:01that's why in webinars I'm like who here
  167. 5:02like tell me what city you're from and
  168. 5:04suddenly everyone's like you see the
  169. 5:06chats blow up with a thousand people
  170. 5:07telling you what cities they're from
  171. 5:09right like they're social coms awesome
  172. 5:11uh uh who here came the furthest like
  173. 5:12who's excited to be here tell me your
  174. 5:14things and people are complying they're
  175. 5:15filling out the chat they're moving and
  176. 5:16they're having them do things right um
  177. 5:18by doing that you're creating these
  178. 5:19little micro commitments that lead up to
  179. 5:21bigger commitments and so there's
  180. 5:22principle number one is social
  181. 5:24compliance all right we you guys think
  182. 5:25about principal number one you guys like
  183. 5:26that now principal number two was myON I
  184. 5:29will share that on persuasion Secrets
  185. 5:30number two if you guys like this video
  186. 5:31let me know in the comments down below
  187. 5:33I'm going to jump right now into
  188. 5:34principal number three which is called
  189. 5:36trial closes this is one of my favorite
  190. 5:38Concepts to get people to buy more of
  191. 5:39your stuff um in fact I did a whole
  192. 5:41YouTube video about this a little while
  193. 5:43ago you guys kind of went crazy about it
  194. 5:44so I want to show you guys the next
  195. 5:45persuasion secret which is called trial
  196. 5:47closes okay number three principle this
  197. 5:50is one that um I learned from a guy
  198. 5:52named Ted Thomas and Ted is uh one of
  199. 5:55the one of the best Stage presenters
  200. 5:57like ever and um I remember when I was
  201. 6:00first learning speaking I heard people
  202. 6:01talk about him in fact his nickname they
  203. 6:03called him the pi Piper of closing and
  204. 6:06uh they said what would happen is you'd
  205. 6:07see like the P Piper would be like
  206. 6:08walking and all the things are following
  207. 6:10he's like same thing you see him at his
  208. 6:11presentations he' get everybody pull
  209. 6:13their credit card out of the wallet and
  210. 6:14uh and then he' get people and I if you
  211. 6:17um if you go to YouTube and type in Ted
  212. 6:19to or Ted Thomas Pi Piper there's videos
  213. 6:21of this where he's got his credit card
  214. 6:23hand he's walking and there's a line of
  215. 6:25four or 500 people walking around
  216. 6:26holding their credit cards he's walking
  217. 6:28them to the back of the room right right
  218. 6:30the guy's famous for this I was like
  219. 6:31anyway so I've been watching him I've
  220. 6:32been studying I've learning some stuff
  221. 6:34but I never actually I never actually
  222. 6:36met him in person and one day I'm
  223. 6:37speaking this event and I'm sitting
  224. 6:39there in the room there's probably maybe
  225. 6:41200 people in the room and all of a
  226. 6:42sudden I see it Ted Thomas walks through
  227. 6:45the back door and sits in the audience
  228. 6:46and I was like that's the dude who's
  229. 6:49really good at closing and I'm trying to
  230. 6:50sell like I just kind of freaked out for
  231. 6:52a second I'm like okay ignore pretending
  232. 6:54he's not here so I did my my best to do
  233. 6:56my pitch and I I did I closed pretty
  234. 6:57well people ran the back and then signed
  235. 6:59up and then uh and then after that uh he
  236. 7:02kind of lingered in the back of the room
  237. 7:04as I'm closing cells and stuff I'm like
  238. 7:05oh man like and finally everyone left
  239. 7:07it's just him and me and he's like hey
  240. 7:08man that's a great presentation can I
  241. 7:09take you to lunch I was like sure let's
  242. 7:11go to lunch and so he takes me to lunch
  243. 7:13and uh at lunch he starts asking all
  244. 7:15these questions making me feel like I'm
  245. 7:16super fascinating he's ask me question
  246. 7:18after question after question after
  247. 7:19question and I'm like this is so cool
  248. 7:21and then he stopped he said hey Russell
  249. 7:23look at your head right now I'm like
  250. 7:24what are you talking about he's like
  251. 7:25look at your
  252. 7:26head what's happening he's like you see
  253. 7:28what's happened to your head
  254. 7:30I'm like what happened he's like I got
  255. 7:31you to say I got you to nod your head
  256. 7:33he's like you've been nodding your head
  257. 7:33for about 5 minutes right now I'm like
  258. 7:35okay he's like I need to teach you
  259. 7:37something that's going to change your
  260. 7:38speaking career forever he said um when
  261. 7:41I was in the back of the room he's like
  262. 7:42you did a great presentation you did all
  263. 7:44the things but I was watching the the
  264. 7:46heads of the audience and everyone's
  265. 7:47head just sat there so nobody's head was
  266. 7:49moving he's like the reason why is
  267. 7:51because the only time you tried to sell
  268. 7:52me something was at the very end the
  269. 7:53only time the first time you asked me
  270. 7:55for like you know for something was
  271. 7:56towards the very end he said if you
  272. 7:58watch the way that I that I speak he
  273. 8:00said I do these things called trial
  274. 8:01closes like I was just doing to you he
  275. 8:03said the what a trial closes I ask you a
  276. 8:05quick question like a yes or no question
  277. 8:06where you answer yes and he asked
  278. 8:07another question the answer yes he said
  279. 8:09if you watch me in the back of the room
  280. 8:11he said if I'm on stage you're in the
  281. 8:11back of the room he said you'll see a
  282. 8:13sea of people whose heads are going like
  283. 8:14this for 90 minutes they said yes
  284. 8:16thousands of times before I ever asked
  285. 8:18them to take out their credit card and I
  286. 8:20was like that's fascinating how does
  287. 8:21this work he said okay this is what you
  288. 8:22need to do he's like you got to start
  289. 8:24weaving in these trial clothes all
  290. 8:26throughout your presentation right so he
  291. 8:27said you say something said you guys
  292. 8:28getting this does that make sense how
  293. 8:30awesome is that people are like yes yes
  294. 8:33yes and you keep doing that keep weaving
  295. 8:34in as many times as you can so I
  296. 8:36remember after you told me that I was
  297. 8:37trying to think of like where I could
  298. 8:39put trial closes into what I was doing
  299. 8:41and the time I had an automated webinar
  300. 8:42that was doing really really good in
  301. 8:43fact I remember to this day we were
  302. 8:44making $9.50 for every person who
  303. 8:47registered for the webinar and so I got
  304. 8:49home I took that webinar and uh and I I
  305. 8:52I got it all transcribed I figured out
  306. 8:53trial closes I could put throughout the
  307. 8:55entire webinar probably a hundred of
  308. 8:56them so I I wrote out these trial closes
  309. 8:58I recorded myself just saying the trial
  310. 9:00Clos like are you guys getting this is
  311. 9:01this amazing how many you guys wish this
  312. 9:03was you can you see yourself doing this
  313. 9:04etc etc I recorded those I had my
  314. 9:07brother take the video file and just
  315. 9:08weave in the trial closes like I didn't
  316. 9:10change the rest of the webinar I just
  317. 9:11weaving in the trial closes to that
  318. 9:12presentation we put it back live and we
  319. 9:14relaunched it and uh we went from making
  320. 9:17$99.50 per regist to $16.40 per regist
  321. 9:20just by adding in these trial closes
  322. 9:23okay now first it's going to feel weird
  323. 9:24because you're going to be like feeling
  324. 9:25awkward trying to get people to say yes
  325. 9:27but what I learned initially was I
  326. 9:28started getting these little notes and I
  327. 9:29would write out different trial closes I
  328. 9:31would stick them all over my my monitor
  329. 9:33on my computer and I would do a webinar
  330. 9:35I would talk about something and I'd see
  331. 9:36one and be like oh you guys getting this
  332. 9:38I see another one like oh does this make
  333. 9:39sense can you imagine yourself doing
  334. 9:41this can you like wouldn't that be cool
  335. 9:42to be able to do what that person just
  336. 9:44did like would that change your life
  337. 9:45forever I yes yes yes yes I started
  338. 9:48getting better and better at that you
  339. 9:49probably noticed when I speak in a
  340. 9:52traditional event I probably ask you
  341. 9:53guys 5,000 questions in the hour I I
  342. 9:55speak even I'm not selling something
  343. 9:56because I'm trying to get again
  344. 9:58commitment consistency compliance and
  345. 10:00you guys saying yes over and over and
  346. 10:01over again so trial close is one of the
  347. 10:03most powerful things you can start
  348. 10:04learning and mastering and weaving into
  349. 10:06everything you're doing from Facebook
  350. 10:07lives Instagram YouTube your podcast
  351. 10:09episodes like I want people nodding
  352. 10:11their head wherever they're at even on
  353. 10:12webinars I'll be on a webinar I'm like I
  354. 10:14know you're out there somewhere like I
  355. 10:15know I can't see you I want you to nod
  356. 10:17your head yes like tell me yes so you
  357. 10:18can see like shake your head up and down
  358. 10:19I'm getting them in this yes State this
  359. 10:21yes momentum so by the end of time when
  360. 10:23I ask them for money they're so used to
  361. 10:25saying yes so that's the principle of
  362. 10:26trial closes all right welcome back I
  363. 10:28skipped principle number four again I'm
  364. 10:29going to show that during persuasion
  365. 10:30Secrets number two when Myer golden
  366. 10:32teaches that principal I'm going to jump
  367. 10:33into my number five principle which is
  368. 10:35called kind of like Bridges this is one
  369. 10:37of the secrets to simplify your
  370. 10:38communication so that more people will
  371. 10:39buy from you with that so let's jump
  372. 10:41right into the clip about kind ofik
  373. 10:42Bridges right now okay the next one is
  374. 10:44one of my favorites because uh so many
  375. 10:46of us who are speaking about the topic
  376. 10:48that we love one of the things we want
  377. 10:50to do is we want to show the rest of the
  378. 10:51world how smart we are right um which is
  379. 10:54the worst way to persuade somebody we
  380. 10:56think that like Oh by being more
  381. 10:58scholarly and putting on a hat and being
  382. 10:59able to use big words people are going
  383. 11:00to think I'm very very smart uh what
  384. 11:02actually happens is it distances you
  385. 11:04from the audience right they're like oh
  386. 11:06this person is using big words I don't
  387. 11:07understand half the things they're
  388. 11:07saying and it it separates you okay so
  389. 11:10for me if you notice like I always want
  390. 11:12my communication to be simple at
  391. 11:13everybody's level so it doesn't matter
  392. 11:15how old you are how like that everybody
  393. 11:17can understand the things that I'm
  394. 11:18saying um I remember back man this is
  395. 11:21however many years ago uh during the
  396. 11:23before Trump was president when they
  397. 11:25were doing all the primaries and stuff
  398. 11:26and they did a test I think I one of the
  399. 11:28news stations did a test they took every
  400. 11:30one of the uh the people that were
  401. 11:31running on the Republican card and they
  402. 11:33ran their their presentation through
  403. 11:35like uh a test to see like what age like
  404. 11:37what grade level they're all speaking at
  405. 11:39and the typical politician was speaking
  406. 11:41like a seventh or eighth grade level
  407. 11:43which may seem kind of low but whatever
  408. 11:44but they were in trumps back and it was
  409. 11:45at a fourth grade level okay and it's
  410. 11:48interesting because um when you're
  411. 11:50trying to persuade people if you're
  412. 11:51talking at at a seventh grade level or
  413. 11:5310th grade level or you know college
  414. 11:55level you're not going to persuade them
  415. 11:56you're confuse them they're going to
  416. 11:57think they're dumb they're going to
  417. 11:58think and they're going to separate away
  418. 12:00you got to be speaking at a second or a
  419. 12:01third grade level okay that is the key
  420. 12:03through all for sorts of communication
  421. 12:05so what happens though is there's times
  422. 12:07in our communication we're selling
  423. 12:08something we're talking about it we're
  424. 12:09trying to teach something where we have
  425. 12:11to use a word that's that's complicated
  426. 12:13right a bigger word and so um what I do
  427. 12:16is every time I come to a word that's
  428. 12:17kind of complicated like for example
  429. 12:19when uh I was doing uh working with Pro
  430. 12:21it uh when they first launched we were
  431. 12:22helping them write this the scripts and
  432. 12:24the pictures and it was interesting
  433. 12:25because everyone in that in that
  434. 12:27business they use very techn like techno
  435. 12:30jargon right they use words like ketosis
  436. 12:32and ketones and glucose and all these
  437. 12:34things that that you may think oh
  438. 12:36everyone knows what that is it's not
  439. 12:37true like I've been in that business
  440. 12:40helping them for almost a decade now I
  441. 12:43still don't know the difference between
  442. 12:44glucose and Ketone I don't know what
  443. 12:45those things even mean right like but
  444. 12:47they assume that everybody knows start
  445. 12:48throwing this jargon and like you're
  446. 12:49trying to close somebody on this thing
  447. 12:51and you're using this jargon assuming
  448. 12:52they know what it is and they don't okay
  449. 12:55so what I do I use this thing called the
  450. 12:56kind ofik bridge and what the kind ofik
  451. 12:57bridge is is you basically
  452. 13:00every time that there's a word let's say
  453. 13:01this is a word right here I'm going to
  454. 13:02use a really confusing word and it could
  455. 13:04be funnels it could be ketones it could
  456. 13:06be whatever so let's say it's
  457. 13:09ketones um I got to realize that like
  458. 13:12most of the audience has no idea what a
  459. 13:14ketone actually is and they do they
  460. 13:15probably already bought the product
  461. 13:16service anyway so the people I'm trying
  462. 13:18to persuade don't know what that is yet
  463. 13:19so as soon as I say the word ketones I
  464. 13:21have to stop and say it's kind of like
  465. 13:24and I tell them a story that's going to
  466. 13:25bridge the gap for something they do
  467. 13:27understand okay so it's it's it's Ketone
  468. 13:30it's kind of like so I draw this bridge
  469. 13:31backwards right it's going this
  470. 13:33direction and I explain something that
  471. 13:35they do understand that they already
  472. 13:36have context for so like when I wrote
  473. 13:38the cells uh the cells video for for
  474. 13:41prove it one of the things I said I
  475. 13:42talked about ketones I said I in the
  476. 13:44script I said then you drink this stuff
  477. 13:46you get these things in your body called
  478. 13:47ketones ketones are kind of like having
  479. 13:49a million motivational speakers who are
  480. 13:51running through your body making you
  481. 13:52feel amazing and people are like oh that
  482. 13:54sounds awesome they don't know what
  483. 13:56ketones are but they know what
  484. 13:57motivational speakers and a thousand R
  485. 13:58your body oh that makes a lot of sense
  486. 14:01okay and so anytime I'm speaking I try
  487. 14:03to figure out what are the words that
  488. 14:05are going to come over here this are
  489. 14:06going to be this wall some soon some as
  490. 14:08soon as somebody hears it and they don't
  491. 14:09understand it they feel dumb and they
  492. 14:11kind of start separating away from you
  493. 14:12okay every time that comes up I got to
  494. 14:14stop and say what's the kind of like
  495. 14:15Bridge one of my favorite uh favorite
  496. 14:18people inside my uh category Kings
  497. 14:20program um Ryan Lee and Brad Gibb you
  498. 14:23guys here somewhere probably yeah
  499. 14:25they're here somewhere they were
  500. 14:26probably the best well they were
  501. 14:28probably the worst this and now the best
  502. 14:30of this um when they first came into our
  503. 14:31world they're selling financial planning
  504. 14:33all these things and he use words that
  505. 14:34were so big that I didn't like I don't
  506. 14:35know what they're talking about and
  507. 14:37they're like but Russell you have tons
  508. 14:38of money you should bub and they I
  509. 14:39started dumping these words on me and I
  510. 14:40was like none of these words are English
  511. 14:42like I don't know what you're saying and
  512. 14:43they're like but you're an educated
  513. 14:44person you have tons of money I'm like I
  514. 14:45still don't understand the thing you're
  515. 14:46saying and so they literally went back
  516. 14:48to their presentations and their their
  517. 14:50webinars and their speaking and they
  518. 14:51figured out kind ofik bridges for every
  519. 14:53single principle every single concept
  520. 14:55they have and I watch them as they kind
  521. 14:57of struggle they kind of struggle they
  522. 14:58kind of struggle they they were some of
  523. 15:00the fastest from as soon as they their
  524. 15:01message like clicked they went from not
  525. 15:03having any success to two comic Club to
  526. 15:05two comic Club X and Beyond in months
  527. 15:08versus decades like it was crazy and
  528. 15:10when it came down to one of the the core
  529. 15:11things was coming back and simplifying
  530. 15:13their communication instead of using
  531. 15:15these words they assume everybody knows
  532. 15:16they use kind of like Bridges every
  533. 15:18single time so every time you're
  534. 15:19creating webinars slides Instagram
  535. 15:21anytime you use a word you're like
  536. 15:23somebody might not know this just stop
  537. 15:25like it's kind of like this then you're
  538. 15:27going to build a funnel it's kind of
  539. 15:29like this and explain something that
  540. 15:30they're going to make sense it's kind of
  541. 15:31like bridges are so simple and so
  542. 15:33powerful and it'll help you to be able
  543. 15:34to PR persuade people and move them to
  544. 15:36what you need them to do so that is kind
  545. 15:38of like Bridge welcome back all right I
  546. 15:39show you guys principle number six on
  547. 15:41the second persuasion video with my and
  548. 15:42golden don't worry uh but before I jump
  549. 15:44into my last principle which is emotion
  550. 15:46logic fear I want to tell you guys one
  551. 15:48thing if you want to learn how to sell
  552. 15:49more stuff online I'm doing a live event
  553. 15:51here in the near future called selling
  554. 15:52online if you go to selling online.com
  555. 15:54or click on link down below you can go
  556. 15:55there and register I give you three days
  557. 15:57going deep on persuasion and how to sell
  558. 15:59more stuff when you're on stage in
  559. 16:00webinars presentations video sales
  560. 16:02letters wherever you're trying to sell
  561. 16:03you learn how to sell more just go to
  562. 16:04selling online.com go get your ticket
  563. 16:06right now without said I'm going to jump
  564. 16:07over to principle number seven this
  565. 16:09called emotion logic fear these are
  566. 16:10three closes we use in everything we do
  567. 16:12from sales pages to email sequences to
  568. 16:14retargeting campaigns it's one of the
  569. 16:15most powerful persuasion techniques you
  570. 16:17can learn you can Master with that said
  571. 16:18let's jump over the clip right now on
  572. 16:20principle number seven emotion logic and
  573. 16:23fear this is one I could literally do a
  574. 16:253-day event on but we do not have that
  575. 16:27much time unfortunately but I'm going to
  576. 16:29spend three or four minutes on it which
  577. 16:30going be so much fun so when I'm closing
  578. 16:32anybody and this is true in all aspects
  579. 16:34of everything in in webinars tell
  580. 16:37seminars sales Pages email sequences
  581. 16:39retargeting campaigns everything there's
  582. 16:40three core things that I use to close
  583. 16:42someone number one is emotion number two
  584. 16:44is logic and number three is fear now
  585. 16:46I'm going to draw a picture of the human
  586. 16:47brain because the human brain looks kind
  587. 16:49of like oh I wish I was better like that
  588. 16:53is okay and uh this is like the squirrly
  589. 16:56part okay the front of the human brain
  590. 16:58up here where this is our conscious mind
  591. 17:00right in our conscious mind there's two
  592. 17:02things are happening one is called
  593. 17:03emotion and one is called logic okay
  594. 17:06back here's our subconscious mind and
  595. 17:08then down here somewhere is the
  596. 17:10lymphatic system I believe and back here
  597. 17:12is where we have fear now I did this
  598. 17:15whole thing at the unlock the seers
  599. 17:16family event this summer with all the
  600. 17:17kids I came out and we showed how this
  601. 17:19is an elephant these are monkeys this is
  602. 17:20a lizard we drew this big it was so much
  603. 17:22fun uh so your kids can explain this to
  604. 17:24you later if you need it to just ask
  605. 17:25them about the monkeys the elephants
  606. 17:27they'll break it back down for you but
  607. 17:28these these are things that are
  608. 17:29happening in our brain every single day
  609. 17:31and so every single one of us Works off
  610. 17:33of different things some of you guys are
  611. 17:34very emotional some you guys are very
  612. 17:36logical and some of you guys only buy or
  613. 17:37move based off fear okay and so the a
  614. 17:41good way to explain these first ones if
  615. 17:42I came out to you with a box of Twinkies
  616. 17:44I showed you the Twinkies how many you
  617. 17:45guys are like oh my gosh I want a
  618. 17:46Twinkie right now who are my twinkie
  619. 17:48people want a Twinkie right now okay
  620. 17:51that's not a very big audience which
  621. 17:52actually makes a lot of sense uh your
  622. 17:54kids would all freak out right because
  623. 17:55they see the twinkie and emotion leads
  624. 17:57like oh my gosh I want that Twinkie so
  625. 17:59good okay all of you guys in this room
  626. 18:00though what happened is you saw the
  627. 18:01twinkie and all a sudden logic kicked
  628. 18:02and you're like how many calories is
  629. 18:03going to be how much sugar I'm going
  630. 18:04have a sugar crash you start logically
  631. 18:06thinking through all the things right
  632. 18:08okay and we have this thing where we're
  633. 18:08fighting between emotion logic emotion
  634. 18:10logic these two things are always
  635. 18:11battling back and forth okay and so I'm
  636. 18:13giving a presentation I got to speak to
  637. 18:15both these Minds now for the most part
  638. 18:17emotion for me is a better thing to
  639. 18:19close with so I will lead with emotion
  640. 18:20it's my best thing I'm going to lead
  641. 18:22with stories emotion to get somebody
  642. 18:23emotionally to want to move okay and
  643. 18:25there's going to be a segment of the
  644. 18:26audience that's going to move based on
  645. 18:28emotion okay after I get the emotional
  646. 18:30buyers to say yes then I have to
  647. 18:32transition to The Logical buyers people
  648. 18:34who logically need me to explain things
  649. 18:36so they can uh they can basically go
  650. 18:38back to their spouse and tell them
  651. 18:39logically why they bought it okay we all
  652. 18:40know that people buy things emotionally
  653. 18:43um like if you were to go buy a Ferrari
  654. 18:45you sit in it or a Lamborghini you sit
  655. 18:46you're like oh this would be so cool
  656. 18:48you're driving around you're like this
  657. 18:49is amazing like I feel so good you pull
  658. 18:50to the gas station and people are coming
  659. 18:52to you and you're like this feels really
  660. 18:53really good and you drive back home and
  661. 18:55you tell your spouse like hey I just
  662. 18:56bought a Ferrari but the thing is it
  663. 18:57gets really good gas mileage it has
  664. 18:59really high resale value which is
  665. 19:01amazing and we logically justify it
  666. 19:03right there's emotion there's logic and
  667. 19:05then the last one is fear okay and to
  668. 19:07overcome fear we use urgency and
  669. 19:09scarcity so what's interesting if you
  670. 19:11look at just this event for example how
  671. 19:13many of you guys bought your tickets
  672. 19:15last year's funnel hacking live CU
  673. 19:16you're like this is amazing I'm not
  674. 19:17going to miss this no matter what who
  675. 19:18are my people bought it last year you're
  676. 19:20my most emotional buyers okay number two
  677. 19:23how many guys were waiting like who's
  678. 19:24going to speak next year is it going to
  679. 19:25be worth it like is Tony coming back
  680. 19:27who's going to be like I'm going to wait
  681. 19:28and find out out how many you guys
  682. 19:29bought between uh between last year's
  683. 19:32Pho hacking live and maybe like three
  684. 19:33months ago how many of you guys bought
  685. 19:34during that window of time okay very
  686. 19:37cool so motion logic now did you guys
  687. 19:39know
  688. 19:40that uh almost 50% of our tickets are
  689. 19:43sold in the last three
  690. 19:45weeks how many you guys bought in the
  691. 19:47last three weeks oh guess what took me
  692. 19:50to get you here fear fear missing out
  693. 19:52urgency scarcity pulling things away
  694. 19:55okay now if I only tried to sell with
  695. 19:57emotion or only tried to sell only try
  696. 19:59to sell fear I would not make as much
  697. 20:00money so every sales argument has I'm
  698. 20:02attacking emotion logic and fear okay I
  699. 20:05do I'm speaking at a webinar I'm doing
  700. 20:07it on stage if I have a if I have a
  701. 20:08sales page right here's my sales page
  702. 20:11the top one third of my sales page
  703. 20:12usually a video it's very that's driving
  704. 20:14towards the emotion underneath the video
  705. 20:15us longer form copy speaking to logic in
  706. 20:18the bottom I have urgency and scarcity
  707. 20:19speaking towards the fear in a
  708. 20:21retargeting campaign guess what happens
  709. 20:23first you hit my page and you leave the
  710. 20:24first set of retar ads are all speaking
  711. 20:26towards the logic then we transition
  712. 20:28over or excuse me to emotion then we
  713. 20:29transition to logic and the last ones in
  714. 20:31the campaigns transition to fear my
  715. 20:32email sequences guess how they go we
  716. 20:34lead with emotion then we go to logic
  717. 20:36and then we go to fear over and over and
  718. 20:37over and over again and so for me I'm
  719. 20:39tacking these three parts of the brain
  720. 20:40because these are things that either get
  721. 20:41you to move or to not move and if I
  722. 20:43don't focus on all three of those I'm
  723. 20:44presenting nobody's going to move so
  724. 20:46there you go with emotion logic and fear
  725. 20:47Crazy Town let's give it up for Russell
  726. 20:49BRS y'all wow wow okay those are four my
  727. 20:53persuasion Secrets if you want the other
  728. 20:54four and then learn what to do next
  729. 20:55follow me over here I'm going to share
  730. 20:56with you guys the most important part of
  731. 20:58of all the first thing is understanding
  732. 21:00that this was just one half of the
  733. 21:01persuasion Secrets presentation the
  734. 21:03other half myON golden gave and he gave
  735. 21:05four other nuggets that were insanely
  736. 21:06cool if you guys want me to share those
  737. 21:08as well let me know in the comments down
  738. 21:09below let us know if you guys love my
  739. 21:11he's one of the greatest presenters of
  740. 21:12all time and on top of that the last
  741. 21:13thing I want to share with you guys is
  742. 21:14the fact that there's a whole
  743. 21:16presentation I did here on YouTube about
  744. 21:17Trial closes I went deep for about 30
  745. 21:19minutes on trial closes you guys loved
  746. 21:21it it was one of the highest view videos
