  1. 0:00hey everybody welcome to this a2 English
  2. 0:03listening practice video you can use
  3. 0:05this video to train your listening and
  4. 0:08comprehension as I speak you ready
  5. 0:11so today I'm going to talk about travel
  6. 0:15traveling is one of the funnest
  7. 0:17activities
  8. 0:18I've always loved traveling when I was
  9. 0:20young my family and I traveled to Hawaii
  10. 0:23many times in case you don't know much
  11. 0:26about Hawaii it's an island in the
  12. 0:29middle of the Pacific Ocean and it's
  13. 0:31also one of the 50 states of the US I've
  14. 0:34been there about six or seven times I
  15. 0:37don't remember how many exactly it's
  16. 0:40definitely one of my favorite places in
  17. 0:42the world Hawaii has plenty of really
  18. 0:45beautiful beaches and the lifestyle
  19. 0:47there is slow and calm but even though
  20. 0:50Hawaii is one of my favourite places to
  21. 0:53travel to in general I prefer the
  22. 0:56countryside the forests or the mountains
  23. 0:59more than the beach so I love taking
  24. 1:02camping trips and road trips I've taken
  25. 1:05a few different road trips through the
  26. 1:07US before and I just recently took a
  27. 1:10road trip through the tuscany region of
  28. 1:13italy it was one of the most incredible
  29. 1:15experiences I've ever had if you ever
  30. 1:18get the chance to go to Italy I highly
  31. 1:21recommend you to rent a car and drive
  32. 1:23through Tuscany trust me you won't be
  33. 1:26disappointed speaking of Europe I also
  34. 1:29took a backpacking trip through Portugal
  35. 1:31in Spain a few years ago it was my first
  36. 1:34time backpacking and it wasn't easy we
  37. 1:37spent a lot of time walking and taking
  38. 1:40buses and trains and the whole time we
  39. 1:42had these big backpacks on her backs we
  40. 1:46stayed in some pretty low quality
  41. 1:47hostels and thus we had some bad
  42. 1:50experiences the worst thing that
  43. 1:52happened to me was that I was bitten by
  44. 1:55bedbugs when I was in Madrid I don't
  45. 1:58know if you've ever been bitten by
  46. 1:59bedbugs before but it's not a fun
  47. 2:02experience and for me it was worse
  48. 2:04because I have really sensitive skin so
  49. 2:08I didn't just have little red spots on
  50. 2:10my skin I had big swole
  51. 2:13sores all over my arms so if you plan on
  52. 2:17staying in hostels when you travel you
  53. 2:19should definitely read the online
  54. 2:21reviews first sometimes it's better to
  55. 2:24pay a little more money to stay in a
  56. 2:26better place some people only like
  57. 2:29staying in hotels and other people
  58. 2:32really like air B&B ease and lately I've
  59. 2:35been staying at air B&B ease no matter
  60. 2:37where I travel it's definitely better
  61. 2:40than staying in hostels in my opinion
  62. 2:43another aspect of travel that's really
  63. 2:45important is the flight this is probably
  64. 2:48the worst part about traveling actually
  65. 2:51it is the worst part definitely I've
  66. 2:54been pretty lucky because I haven't had
  67. 2:56any really bad flights but I have had
  68. 2:59experiences with long delays and
  69. 3:02canceled flights which can really ruin
  70. 3:04your trip there were two times when I
  71. 3:07had to spend the night at the airport
  72. 3:09which was terrible I hope you guys don't
  73. 3:12ever have that experience so overall
  74. 3:15there are good and bad things about
  75. 3:17traveling but I think we can all agree
  76. 3:20that it's nice to travel once in a while
  77. 3:22okay that's all for today leave a
  78. 3:25comment and tell me your favorite place
  79. 3:27that you've traveled to I'll see you
  80. 3:30next video
