- 0:37listener ok today we're going to talk
- 0:39about emotions we all feel a wide range
- 0:43of emotions
- 0:44and it's important to understand our
- 0:46emotions so let's start off with
- 0:49positive emotions let's talk about the
- 0:52most famous emotion happiness this is
- 0:55the emotion that all of us like when
- 0:58we're happy this means that we're
- 1:00satisfied we feel good and we're able to
- 1:03smile so what makes people happy well
- 1:06there could be tons of things
- 1:08some of the most common might include
- 1:10having good relationships enjoying your
- 1:13job and doing fun things but honestly i
- 1:16think the most important factor is
- 1:18feeling like you have a purpose in life
- 1:20if you feel like you have a reason to
- 1:22wake up in the morning then you probably
- 1:25experience happiness quite often
- 1:27okay next let's talk about excitement
- 1:30this is one of my favorite emotions when
- 1:33you're excited you can't wait for the
- 1:35future you feel happy and optimistic
- 1:38about something you're gonna do or about
- 1:40something that's gonna happen
- 1:42so what makes people excited again there
- 1:44could be tons of things
- 1:46for example i know that i get excited
- 1:49when i think about my goals for the
- 1:51future it's fun and exciting to think
- 1:54about what i can accomplish
- 1:56i also feel excited when i'm gonna
- 1:58travel
- 1:59i really love planning trips and it
- 2:01makes me excited to research the places
- 2:03where i'm gonna go
- 2:05alright let's talk about one other
- 2:07positive emotion
- 2:08relief
- 2:09relief is the emotion you feel when some
- 2:12uncertain situation ends in a positive
- 2:15way for example imagine that you're
- 2:17worried that you have some serious
- 2:19health problem but then the doctor tells
- 2:22you that you're okay and there's nothing
- 2:24to worry about
- 2:25you feel a sense of relief when you hear
- 2:28that this can be a really strong emotion
- 2:30because you release all the worry that
- 2:33you were feeling i love this feeling
- 2:35okay now let's talk about a few negative
- 2:38emotions
- 2:39first anger this is the emotion that
- 2:42none of us like feeling it's normal to
- 2:45feel angry at times especially when
- 2:47someone does something really bad
- 2:50however it's not good to feel angry all
- 2:53the time this shouldn't be an emotion
- 2:55that stays with us when we get mad it
- 2:58should only be for a limited time we
- 3:01should be able to get over this anger
- 3:03when the bad situation passes here's one
- 3:06tip i can give don't go to bed angry try
- 3:10to resolve this problem before the end
- 3:12of the day
- 3:13this will make your life a lot better
- 3:16another negative emotion is sadness no
- 3:19one likes feeling sad but unfortunately
- 3:22this is another normal emotion
- 3:24we need to feel sad about certain things
- 3:27but i think that if you talk about this
- 3:30with someone that you love it really
- 3:32helps you deal with your sadness we need
- 3:35to be able to express this feeling and
- 3:38then we can move on
- 3:40one more negative emotion is fear this
- 3:43is one of my least favorite emotions
- 3:45there are some things in life that scare
- 3:48us when you were a kid you were probably
- 3:50afraid of the dark or maybe you're still
- 3:53afraid of spiders but there are many
- 3:56other worse fears that affect our lives
- 3:59they can make us scared to do things and
- 4:01they can make us feel really stressed so
- 4:04of course it's good to try to overcome
- 4:07our fears
- 4:08okay that's all for today remember to
