- 0:21so today i'm gonna talk about
- 0:24free time this is a good topic
- 0:27because everyone enjoys having free time
- 0:31i love having free time and you
- 0:34probably do too so first
- 0:37let's talk about how much free time
- 0:41people have most children have
- 0:44more free time than adults
- 0:47when you're a kid you don't have the
- 0:51responsibilities
- 0:52that an adult has adults have to work
- 0:56pay the bills and take care of their
- 0:59children
- 1:00kids usually don't have to do these
- 1:03things
- 1:04kids usually have to go to school
- 1:07and do homework this can be difficult
- 1:11but it's usually not that difficult
- 1:14so children have more free time
- 1:17when i was a kid i had a lot of free
- 1:21time
- 1:22i got home from school around 2
- 1:25or 3 p.m and after that
- 1:28i played a lot on weekdays
- 1:32from monday to friday i probably
- 1:35had around four or five hours of free
- 1:39time
- 1:40each day sometimes i got bored
- 1:43because i had so much free time
- 1:46but as i got older i had more homework
- 1:50each year so each year i had
- 1:54a little less free time i didn't have
- 1:57too much homework though in the us
- 2:00we don't get that much homework in some
- 2:03other countries children have a lot of
- 2:06homework
- 2:07i'm glad that my school work wasn't
- 2:10very hard on weekends i had
- 2:14even more free time on saturday
- 2:17and sunday i did many activities
- 2:21weekends were the best because i had
- 2:24all day to play and rest i really liked
- 2:28weekends and i still do now that i'm an
- 2:32adult
- 2:33i don't have a lot of free time i have
- 2:36to work
- 2:37and do many other things i usually
- 2:41start working early like at 7 00 am
- 2:44or 7 30 am so
- 2:48i have to wake up around 6am
- 2:51when i was a kid i slept more
- 2:55i usually slept for eight hours every
- 2:58night
- 2:59as an adult i don't sleep eight hours
- 3:02every night i
- 3:04usually get seven hours or seven and a
- 3:07half
- 3:08hours of sleep how about you
- 3:11how many hours of sleep do you get
- 3:14so after i finish work i have some
- 3:18free time in the evening however
- 3:21i usually do some extra work or
- 3:24studying during this time i have to make
- 3:28these youtube videos and instagram
- 3:31videos
- 3:32and i also study foreign languages
- 3:35at night i have some free time to
- 3:38just relax my wife and i
- 3:41spend the evenings together and enjoy
- 3:44this time
- 3:46okay now let's talk about some popular
- 3:49activities that people do in their free
- 3:52time
- 3:53for example many people like to play
- 3:56sports or exercise in their free time
- 4:00when i was a kid i played a lot of
- 4:03sports
- 4:04i played basketball baseball tennis
- 4:08soccer football and golf i
- 4:12really liked playing sports in my free
- 4:15time
- 4:15but as an adult i don't play
- 4:18any sports i'm not very interested
- 4:22in playing sports nowadays however
- 4:26i exercise in my free time i work
- 4:29out almost every day but just for a
- 4:33short time
- 4:34other people spend a lot of time
- 4:36exercising
- 4:38so another activity that people do in
- 4:41their free
- 4:42time is watch tv shows and movies
- 4:46many people do this in their free time
- 4:49i know some people who watch many hours
- 4:53of tv
- 4:54every day i don't watch a lot of tv
- 4:57or movies i really like playing
- 5:01games in my free time i play chess
- 5:04online but i'm not very good
- 5:08i also like playing board games with my
- 5:11family
- 5:12we play games like katan and
- 5:15codenames do you like playing board
- 5:18games
- 5:19one last activity that most people do
- 5:22in their free time is surf the internet
- 5:26this is probably the most common
- 5:28activity that people do
- 5:31i spend a lot of time on the internet
- 5:34some days i spend too much time on the
- 5:38internet
- 5:39it's not good to spend all day inside
- 5:43on the computer we should try to go
- 5:46outside and do other activities
- 5:49too but the internet is very
- 5:53entertaining so it's easy to spend
- 5:56many hours surfing the web okay
- 6:00now i'm gonna ask you some questions
- 6:02about the video
