- 0:11- Close to Violet on a Sunday,
- 0:16nearly made it into bloom.
- 0:20But I know all the ordinary.
- 0:27One day turning back to bloom.
- 0:32Long for what's to come.
- 0:37Keep forgetting how to make it known
- 0:42before it's already gone.
- 1:28- Good morning guys. Welcome back to my channel
- 1:31and to another video.
- 1:32I hope you're doing really well.
- 1:34I feel like I can now breathe that the school run is done.
- 1:38It was a little bit chaotic this morning,
- 1:40but now everyone is where they need to be.
- 1:42Everyone has everything that they need.
- 1:44Jackson had a tiny wobble this morning,
- 1:47which he hasn't actually done for ages.
- 1:49He's had such a good school year so far.
- 1:51He absolutely loves his teacher, loves his friends.
- 1:54So it's been going really well,
- 1:55but actually his 3D printer,
- 1:59it printed something slightly wrong last night.
- 2:01And sometimes if he sends like a big print to it,
- 2:05it takes hours overnight.
- 2:06And then he's so excited when he wakes up
- 2:08to run downstairs to the printer.
- 2:11But this is the first time it didn't go exactly
- 2:13as he was expecting, so he was a bit upset about that.
- 2:17And then he was like, "I don't want to go to school.
- 2:19I'd rather stay at home with you." And it just pulled on my
- 2:21heartstring so much, but convinced him
- 2:24he would have a great day at school.
- 2:26And I think at this point in the term,
- 2:29the kids are just really tired.
- 2:30I always feel like a couple of weeks
- 2:32before half term, they really need it.
- 2:35They just start to get exhausted.
- 2:37And they actually had flu jabs recently.
- 2:39So I think there's a lot going on,
- 2:42but it all worked out in the end.
- 2:44So I'm home now and I don't want to take this jacket off.
- 2:47Yesterday and today are the first really cold days
- 2:51where you need to layer up and get warm.
- 2:54I feel like we're going to have to turn our
- 2:55heating on very soon.
- 2:57So yeah, I don't want to take this off, but how cute is it?
- 2:59It's a little puffer jacket that I just got from Hilara.
- 3:02It's got pockets
- 3:03and this kind of sweater detailing around the edges
- 3:07and it's got those thumb holes that I like,
- 3:10just perfect for the school run.
- 3:12I'm just wearing it with leggings.
- 3:14And yeah, I actually got a few other Hilara bits
- 3:16that I was going to show you today.
- 3:17They actually sent me their brand new chocolate edit.
- 3:21Hold on. These are the bits here,
- 3:23so I though we could try them on together,
- 3:25but what a gorgeous, rich, warm palette of colors,
- 3:29which are just perfect for autumn.
- 3:31And you probably see some leather, some corduroy,
- 3:34like various different textures coming
- 3:36through the range as well.
- 3:37And of course, I have a discount code for you guys.
- 3:39So if you use my code Emily Choco, that will get you 10%
- 3:44off their full priced items.
- 3:46And obviously I work with Hilara,
- 3:47but all of the opinions that I'm going
- 3:50to say are my very own.
- 3:51I feel like I have by accident become a Hilara ambassador
- 3:55or something because I wear it as my mom uniform every day.
- 3:59I'm just always in their leggings because I'm a huge fan.
- 4:03So let me show you a little hole.
- 4:05So I think I will take this off so
- 4:06that you can actually see the items.
- 4:08But first up, I wanted to show you my favorite piece
- 4:11that arrived and it is this scort.
- 4:15It is a gorgeous brown corduroy color.
- 4:18It's really, really stretchy. It has an invisible zip.
- 4:22It was under 20 pounds.
- 4:24And the best bit for me is it has really great built-in
- 4:27shorts underneath, so you feel super secure in this.
- 4:31I think this would look great with knee high boots
- 4:33or you know with little white socks,
- 4:35like white frilly socks and loafers.
- 4:37I think this could look so sweet and like a little jumper
- 4:41or a little white shirt.
- 4:42I just know I'm going to wear this skirt so much in autumn.
- 4:46So I want to show you that. I also ordered some
- 4:48of their leggings and I had
- 4:50to get my favorite ones, which are these.
- 4:52They're called softly zero leggings.
- 4:54They have a crossover at the top.
- 4:56They have pockets on either side.
- 4:58But what I love about it is that the fabric is so, so soft
- 5:01and now they come in this gorgeous chocolate color.
- 5:05I feel like they're really flattering
- 5:07and just Hilara in general,
- 5:08I feel like they just understand women's bodies
- 5:11because every time I put an item on,
- 5:14I just feel like it really flatters my curves
- 5:16and just fits really well.
- 5:18I also got some other leggings to show you.
- 5:21I believe the color of these is called hot fudge
- 5:24and they are called the Hilara Ultra Sculpt high waisted
- 5:29scrunch butt lifting tummy control leggings.
- 5:32They literally do everything.
- 5:34So there's a panel at the front which holds in your tummy.
- 5:38There's pockets either side.
- 5:39There is a scrunch bum
- 5:41and there's actually, you
- 5:42can feel it when you're wearing it.
- 5:43There's a big panel that goes like under your backside
- 5:47and it literally lifts your bum up.
- 5:49These also have a slightly wider leg at the bottom.
- 5:53They look really trendy and they're just so lovely.
- 5:56I am also pairing them with a Hilara white top,
- 6:00which again is lovely fabric.
- 6:02It is super stretchy and like an essential.
- 6:05I have this in white and I also have it in black
- 6:07and I just tend to wear it so often.
- 6:10They also have so many leather look leggings that I wanted
- 6:13to show you in the chocolate edit,
- 6:14but I need your help as to which one I should actually keep.
- 6:18All of their leather look leggings actually
- 6:21feel like leggings.
- 6:22They are so stretchy, really,
- 6:24really comfortable even though they look like leather.
- 6:27So got these leggings which actually just have a thin panel
- 6:31down the side which has like a leather look on it
- 6:34and it's also on the waistband as well.
- 6:36There's a hidden pocket in the waistband on this one
- 6:40so you can actually put your phone or cards in it.
- 6:43And I think this one looks really cool,
- 6:44but you could definitely still work out in
- 6:47these leggings as well.
- 6:48There's some super tight leather look ones,
- 6:50which I think would look so nice
- 6:53with like a crisp white shirt
- 6:55or a blouse, something like that and some heels.
- 6:58I think these could look really lovely.
- 7:00But I also love these ones.
- 7:02These are the tapered, stretchy,
- 7:05high waisted leather look
- 7:07trousers and they look really cool.
- 7:09I think they would be great with trainers and a jumper.
- 7:13But the best bit is inside, they're actually fleece lined
- 7:17so you're not going to be cold when you're wearing them.
- 7:19They're actually nice and toasty.
- 7:21So I think these ones are my favorite,
- 7:23but let me know what you think in the comments below.
- 7:26I also ordered this black top which has a V-neck.
- 7:29It's like a t-shirt material,
- 7:30but then the arms are really, really wide
- 7:33and it's quite unique.
- 7:35I think this would look so nice on like a dinner
- 7:38or drinks with friends,
- 7:40but it's also a little bit Halloweeny for this time of year.
- 7:43And I just though, never really seen a top like this.
- 7:46And the last thing that I wanted
- 7:47to show you is this black quilted jacket.
- 7:50It is so comfortable and stretchy.
- 7:53It's called puff flex so
- 7:56that the puffer jacket is actually really, really stretchy
- 7:59and it's a bit of a workout jacket.
- 8:01So it's perfect to throw on over athleisure.
- 8:05If you're going to a workout class,
- 8:06it's got a little standup collar like that, big pocket.
- 8:09I feel like it's really, really flattering.
- 8:11And this also came in a really lovely chestnut
- 8:14brown as well.
- 8:16So those are the items that I wanted to show you,
- 8:18but let me know in the comments down
- 8:20below which piece is your favorite.
- 8:22And I know I've talked a lot about Hilara in the past,
- 8:24but their clothes are so versatile.
- 8:27They feel amazing when I'm wearing them.
- 8:30They're just super flattering
- 8:31and they cater to pretty much everyone.
- 8:33They go from an extra small size to a 4XL size.
- 8:38And as you can see, there's a new chocolate edit as well.
- 8:41So I will leave all the links
- 8:43to everything I've shown in the description down below.
- 8:45And if you do look and you do get anything,
- 8:47definitely use my code, which is Emily Chaco.
- 8:51That will get you 10% off any of their full priced items.
- 8:54So I'll leave all the links down there in the description.
- 8:58And now I think I'm going to go and eat some breakfast.
- 9:01Something that I have been loving, especially
- 9:03as the temperatures are dropping, is air fryer oats.
- 9:07I've got a really simple recipe.
- 9:09I'll put it in the description for you guys.
- 9:11And I know in the last blog I said I put a recipe in the
- 9:14description and I forgot, but I'm actually going
- 9:15to this time, I'm going to remember, but it's really simple.
- 9:19It's basically oats, a little bit of baking powder,
- 9:22a mashed banana, an egg, a little bit of oat milk,
- 9:26and you can put in some cinnamon and then berries as well.
- 9:30I like to put in blueberries,
- 9:32but raspberries are really good as well.
- 9:35Sometimes I have frozen raspberries in the freezer
- 9:37and I can stick them in
- 9:39or you can even add some chocolate chips
- 9:41and you mix it all in a bowl
- 9:43and then you stick it into like a ramekin or a little bowl
- 9:47and you put that in the air fryer for 12 to 15 minutes.
- 9:50And it's like this really yummy warming breakfast,
- 9:54but it feels like a dessert.
- 9:56It feels like a real treat and I love it.
- 9:59So I've been making it, sometimes I make two at once
- 10:03and then on the second morning I'll just like microwave it
- 10:05for a bit, but I do prefer it when it is nice and fresh.
- 10:10But yeah, I'm just going to make that now
- 10:12and then that'll be my breakfast.
- 10:14And then I'm hoping to get some bits done today.
- 10:17I'm thinking there's like a few little
- 10:19jobs that I've been wanting to do.
- 10:21I recently did a couple posts on Instagram
- 10:23that went super viral
- 10:26and they were about being like a type A mum.
- 10:29It's funny because back in the day, like five years ago,
- 10:33I used to say like mum hack a lot.
- 10:35I would share all my mum hacks on YouTube
- 10:37and on Instagram as well and everybody loved a mum hack.
- 10:41But now I feel like if I say
- 10:43or talk about mum hacks, it gets like less interest.
- 10:47But if I say type A mum, people seem to love that
- 10:51and it's just been going super viral.
- 10:53So it's basically the same thing. But since I started
- 10:55sharing all of my type A tendencies,
- 10:58it's actually made me feel a bit like a fraud
- 11:00because I shared about my gift wrapping station in one
- 11:04of those posts and they just got so many comments.
- 11:06People love the gift wrapping station
- 11:09and they also love features like we moved our laundry
- 11:11room upstairs in the house.
- 11:12They love all of that, but it made me think my gift wrapping
- 11:16station is like a complete mess at the moment.
- 11:19So I feel like I need to sort out a few things like that.
- 11:22And I just love days like this
- 11:24where I can just get bits done.
- 11:27If I have time, I might go and get my eyebrows threaded.
- 11:31I really need a pedicure, really, really bad.
- 11:33And I know it's winter,
- 11:35but we are actually going away in the half term,
- 11:38so I would like to improve them.
- 11:40They're really bad. And yeah, just do a few bits like that.
- 11:42So I though I would vlog, share you what I get up to.
- 11:45It's like a bit of a self-care day,
- 11:47but also still like mom life, usual life.
- 11:51And then tonight I'm really excited
- 11:53because Celebrity Traders is on
- 11:55and that is our favorite thing to watch as a family.
- 11:59We absolutely love watching it all together.
- 12:01So it's on tonight and tomorrow
- 12:03night, so I'm excited for that.
- 12:04So I might get a few snacks or bits in
- 12:07because it is like a real family thing that we do together.
- 12:10So yeah anyway, I'm going to mix this up
- 12:13and have my breakfast.
- 12:40- When you talk, I think you said enough.
- 13:10So
- 13:10- It's been 15 minutes and this is how it comes out.
- 13:13It smells so good and I normally have it with Greek yogurt
- 13:17because then it feels like a hot dessert
- 13:19with ice cream, even though it's not.
- 13:22It's really, really yummy. So yeah, anyway, I'm going
- 13:23to eat this for breakfast.
- 13:25I just though we'd share that as I love a bit of inspo.
- 13:31So I just had to show you Matt's porridge this morning.
- 13:35He is really like type A
- 13:38and a little bit OCD when it comes to food.
- 13:42So obviously he's got his porridge, yogurt,
- 13:44and then exactly one little banana, one little strawberry,
- 13:48one little blueberry all on top of each other.
- 13:51I would let you watch him eat it.
- 13:54I won't make you because it's painful, isn't it duh?
- 13:58- Yeah. - Yeah.
- 13:59- So why have - - What the heck?
- 14:01- A few nice bites. Why not have every bite?
- 14:03It's perfect. Life's too short.
- 14:06- Now I'm going to clean out the gift wrapping station.
- 14:09It is really, really bad and really messy.
- 14:12And you know I said, I did
- 14:13that post the other day about being a type A mum
- 14:15and I used an old photo of it.
- 14:18So I feel like a bit of a fraud
- 14:20because it actually does not look like that photo at all.
- 14:23And then I don't know whether
- 14:25to actually put Christmas wrapping paper in it
- 14:27because we're in October now,
- 14:29so maybe I should just go for it.
- 14:32See anyway, I'm just going to pull everything out
- 14:35and make it nice and clean again.
- 16:02- I can't believe it's already over.
- 16:10Too late to talk and fix whatever's broken.
- 17:14- Okay. So the gift refusation is all clean now.
- 17:17It's looking a lot better,
- 17:19but somehow that took me 40 minutes to do.
- 17:21I don't know why, but it did.
- 17:23And now I'm just going to wrap a couple of presents.
- 17:25I've got this rainbow gift wrap
- 17:28and I was going to wrap up my niece's present.
- 17:30So she is turning 10 in November,
- 17:33but we're actually going away for October half term.
- 17:36So I really need to send it before we go
- 17:39because she's in Canada
- 17:41and I just want to make sure it gets there
- 17:43because she will be expecting a present from me.
- 17:46And she is obsessed with K-pop
- 17:50and that kind of music.
- 17:51She loves this band called Catsy.
- 17:54And when we went to visit in August,
- 17:56she was always doing the dances and singing
- 17:59and she's actually going to the concert for her birthday.
- 18:01She is obsessed. So I ordered some Catsy bits.
- 18:05I got her a pack of little Catsy stickers.
- 18:10I think there was like, how many stickers?
- 18:12Like 120 stickers in there.
- 18:15I though she'd love that for your school folders and stuff.
- 18:18And then I also got her this backpack, but it's so annoying.
- 18:22I just opened it up to then wrap it.
- 18:26And the name of the band is wrong.
- 18:29It says Catsy instead of Catsby.
- 18:32So it's like, I though that was like the band and thing,
- 18:36but obviously it's completely wrong,
- 18:38but I thought she would have loved this for school,
- 18:40but now I'm going to have to return this
- 18:41because it's not right and get something else.
- 18:45And then I've also ordered her a hoodie and a t-shirt.
- 18:48They should be coming today.
- 18:50And I also got her an audio lollipop.
- 18:53I got these for Jackson's birthday
- 18:55and oh my God, he loved them so much.
- 18:58I've never heard of them before.
- 18:59They're actually really, really cool.
- 19:01Might be quite a nice Christmas gift.
- 19:03They play a song, but they come with earplugs.
- 19:06So you put the earplugs in and you put the lolly in your
- 19:09mouth and only the person who has the lolly can hear it.
- 19:13It's really crazy. I don't know if it's like vibrations
- 19:15or what, but this is a K-pop one.
- 19:18So I thought one, it's just a really cool,
- 19:20quirky little gift, but it's also K-pop.
- 19:23So I think she will love that.
- 19:24So I'm just going to wrap up these two things now
- 19:26because I'm so glad I opened this.
- 19:28It's completely wrong,
- 19:29but it only arrived yesterday,
- 19:31so I can obviously return that.
- 19:55- When you talk, I think you said enough.
- 20:02- I though I'd bring Matt on the blog
- 20:03because I feel like you haven't been on for a long time
- 20:05and everyone really misses you.
- 20:07- I'm sure they don't. Two people.
- 20:10- Less none of the comments. - My mom. Yeah, sorry.
- 20:15Sorry I've been away, guys.
- 20:18- No, he's just about to pack up all the garden furniture.
- 20:22- Riveting stuff. - For the year. Tell
- 20:24- You why I'll film it.
- 20:25- We've actually got so much out of it this year.
- 20:27It's been really nice and hot hasn't it? Yeah, the
- 20:28- Garden, yeah.
- 20:29The thing we get the most use out of is the sun lounges.
- 20:31- Yeah. - Which
- 20:33- Is the last thing we bought.
- 20:34I'm going to turn you around. That is the best.
- 20:36This is the best investment. These, the dog loves them.
- 20:40- And art, didn't we? - But also,
- 20:42we pretty much just sit on those
- 20:44and knock the table and chairs that much.
- 20:46That was the best thing we've ever bought.
- 20:48- We were just talking about the heating.
- 20:50- I actually just posted a funny...
- 20:53If you follow me on Instagram,
- 20:54you've seen it. No, you posted
- 20:55- It about a week ago, I think.
- 20:56- No, yesterday. Oh, because this is coming out next week,
- 20:59but we posted - No, it's coming out now.
- 21:00A funny video of us fighting over the heating dial.
- 21:05It's the kind of reel I put up every year
- 21:07and everyone loves it because it's so funny. We remade
- 21:09- It.
- 21:10- It's the same in every house, whether it's the guy
- 21:13or the girl, because I had a few people in the comments
- 21:15saying, "Well, actually, the wife's the one
- 21:17who doesn't let the heating go on."
- 21:19- Yeah.
- 21:20- That's not - Why our messages.
- 21:21- What's that? - That isn't why our messages.
- 21:22The man is the one doing it. The messages -
- 21:25- No, just like - - Shoot your heating beyond.
- 21:26- Every house has that battle, whether it's
- 21:28with your kids or with...
- 21:30Do you know what I mean? I mean,
- 21:31- The kids don't care about the heating.
- 21:33- They actually don't. They don't actually ever say it all.
- 21:34They just put another blanket, don't they? Yeah. No,
- 21:37- The kids, they come down in pajama shorts. And
- 21:40- Then top.
- 21:41- They're like men now. They come down
- 21:43and then they get a massive blanket and wrap around them.
- 21:45And then they don't say they're
- 21:46cold, but you can tell they're cold. I'm like,
- 21:48- "You can put some clothes - On." I get it if you've got
- 21:51clothes on and you're saying you're cold,
- 21:52but when they haven't got clothes on, I'm like -
- 21:54- I know.
- 21:57Our kids don't like wearing like -
- 21:59- Clothes.
- 22:00- No. I'm sure it's the same with a lot
- 22:03of kids, especially...
- 22:04I don't know. Is it the same for boys, girls? Anyway, is
- 22:06- Heating on in your house? That's what we want to know.
- 22:08- Yeah, because we're not allowed
- 22:10to put it on until - November
- 22:11- Is the cutoff, at least.
- 22:14- Yeah. Yeah. And
- 22:15- Even then, if it's mild, it ain't coming on.
- 22:17- Yeah. We've - Got heat blankets.
- 22:18- Yeah, that is the best thing ever. Yeah, in your bed.
- 22:21- But then the kids, we tried it in two of the kids' beds
- 22:23and the eldest froze, he didn't like it, did
- 22:25- He?
- 22:26And he likes being cold, doesn't he? Yeah,
- 22:27- He actually likes the cold, but he wants
- 22:28- It. But then he minds
- 22:29- When he gets in bed, hose
- 22:30freezing. I don't care about your heat blanket.
- 22:31- I think that is the biggest luxury.
- 22:35We put on our electric blanket,
- 22:37I wash my face, teeth, do all that stuff. It actually
- 22:39- Is a money saving - Tip as well.
- 22:40You can get in and it's so warm.
- 22:42And then I think it just makes you all toasty.
- 22:44We turn it off and then you just sleep really well.
- 22:47- Yeah. - We do love it every time. Every now and then.
- 22:51- But it is a money - Saving
- 22:52- Tip because - Especially if
- 22:53- You've got a big house.
- 22:54- Yeah. No, and I saw people putting them on their sofas
- 22:57and then you're not heating the house,
- 22:59you're just heating the
- 22:59blanket on the sofa. Yeah, I find that a bit
- 23:02- Weird because I just feel like I've
- 23:03- Sold - Myself.
- 23:07- That's like the heated season in the car.
- 23:09You just feel like you've
- 23:10- Had a wig.
- 23:11No, no. As if it's cold. Remember one car we
- 23:12had, it actually did cold
- 23:14- Seats.
- 23:15- Cold, he's like, "Have I wet - Myself?" Weird. That was
- 23:17- Actually diverging here.
- 23:19It's not even a word. Yeah. What am I doing?
- 23:22- You are. I'm - Diverging? No.
- 23:24- Yeah. Digressing. Digressing.
- 23:27- Anyway, when I took Caleb to the hospital -
- 23:30- Oh yeah.
- 23:32I'm going to tell you this story.
- 23:34If you followed me on Instagram, you
- 23:35might have seen it in stories.
- 23:37- Can I just tell my story before I forget what happened?
- 23:40Obviously the bit about Caleb is way more important
- 23:43and way less funny.
- 23:46But I was taking Caleb to hospital.
- 23:48Don't worry about that a bit. He's fine. He's here.
- 23:50He's alive.
- 23:52And he was being sick in the cart, basically.
- 23:57So I grabbed a bag for him to be sick in.
- 24:00And when I grabbed the bag, there was a bottle of water,
- 24:03but I didn't realize, but it was like a straw bottle,
- 24:06but I put it on my lap.
- 24:07- No, that was - It. That was it.
- 24:09I was going to give him the water bottle to be sick in. So
- 24:11- I took the lid off - Of the water bottle
- 24:13and it had like a built-in straw
- 24:15and I put that on my lap, but didn't realize
- 24:17- There was obviously water in
- 24:19- It because it was locked when the water stays
- 24:21- In the store until you - Unlock it.
- 24:22So then I put it in my lap and then he's being sick.
- 24:25I'm thinking, what if I cracked myself
- 24:29that I could just feel with the bottom of my
- 24:31- Trouser?
- 24:32I put the thing in between my legs.
- 24:33- I was like, I just felt all wet in my trouser.
- 24:35- He's - Been sick. I'm like, I'm worried about him,
- 24:37but why have I pooed myself? And I was thinking, oh
- 24:40- My God, but - I'm going to
- 24:41- Have to say I've not got any - Control of my bowels.
- 24:46- We're here for him, but also me. I didn't
- 24:48- Tell you this, did I? I didn't.
- 24:49- Because obviously he - Was more
- 24:51- Worried about - I think it's actually put me off.
- 24:52Yeah.
- 24:54- I just made that up. - Oh my gosh.
- 24:56Anyway, he needs to say things like that
- 24:58because he will forget because he's 45 now.
- 25:02But with Caleb, it was the most horrible thing.
- 25:07I put it on stories, but basically he got braces recently,
- 25:11so he's got top braces and bottom.
- 25:13And one of the wires on his brace actually came off.
- 25:17- Which he doesn't know how happened.
- 25:19- Yeah, maybe he was playing with it.
- 25:21But one morning he was having breakfast
- 25:23and he was eating a bagel
- 25:24and he went, "Oh, I've just eaten a really sharp piece
- 25:27of bagel." And he was really uncomfortable.
- 25:29But you know you're like morning rush.
- 25:30So I was like, "Have a drink,
- 25:32have a whatever, get ready, have a drink." We
- 25:35- Though he was stooling a bit
- 25:36as well, didn't we? It felt terrible. Yeah,
- 25:37- Because he is like the hardest one
- 25:39to wake up in the morning, the hardest one
- 25:41to get sorted, that kind of thing.
- 25:44So we were like, "Come on, have a drink. You'll be fine.
- 25:46I'll go down." He wasn't crying, But he was like, oh, no,
- 25:48but you could tell he was in pain.
- 25:49He was like, ugh. But anyway, we had to go
- 25:52and basically if we don't go at a certain time in the
- 25:54morning, you probably won't get there on time.
- 25:57So we had to get out that window, didn't we?
- 26:00Out the house, went to school,
- 26:03and he has got a phone now he's at senior school,
- 26:05but he didn't take it that day.
- 26:07So anyway, during the course of the day, he realized,
- 26:10actually, there's a wire missing from my brace.
- 26:12And I think that is actually
- 26:13what stuck in my throat and he was in pain all day. He even
- 26:15- Went to the sand or the
- 26:18- Nerve - The reception or whatever. Or the reception to
- 26:19- Say - My throat.
- 26:22My throat really hurts.
- 26:24And then they actually happened to call us.
- 26:26- Yeah, they rang and they were like, "Oh,
- 26:29he does seem fine.
- 26:30He's probably just scratched it on the way down." So all
- 26:33of us are like, not believing him, but I think
- 26:36because he is the kind of kid that never really moves.
- 26:39He pretty tough. He's pretty tough.
- 26:41Even if he has a terrible sickness bug,
- 26:43- He's - Never
- 26:44- Cried for illness, is - He?
- 26:46No, he never makes a fuss.
- 26:47He will literally just be like - So like me.
- 26:49I'm going to be sick. Grab a bowl and just be sick.
- 26:51And then the stuff. He's very like, whereas like -
- 26:54- Bill on me.
- 26:55- Jackson's a bit dramatic, isn't he?
- 26:57Sorry, Jackson, if you' watching this in the future.
- 26:59But anyway, he's really hard.
- 27:02But then at the end of the day,
- 27:03he realized he actually thinks the brace
- 27:05was stuck in his throat.
- 27:06And then he walked home from school
- 27:09and then said, "Oh, I think that's
- 27:10what happened." Yeah. So we rushed him to -
- 27:12- Hadn't eaten all day.
- 27:13- Yeah. Yeah, because he couldn't eat.
- 27:15And we rushed him to an out of hours hospital,
- 27:18which is near us, which is great.
- 27:20But they said, "You have to go to A&E." So then - Yeah,
- 27:23- Because it's his throat.
- 27:24- Matt actually said, "I'll take him."
- 27:26And then you were gone for hours and hours.
- 27:27So he took him to Baseldon, his name?
- 27:30- Based on first. - Yeah. And
- 27:31- Then - They did some - And they were amazing.
- 27:33- They were amazing. They - Were. Really so helpful.
- 27:35And I think because it was his throat
- 27:37and worried about breathing and he hadn't eaten all day.
- 27:40- Then we went to - Another hospital. It was quite quick.
- 27:41- They sent us to Broomfield because they said
- 27:43- The, - What's it called?
- 27:45ENT, ear, nose and throat.
- 27:46- Yeah, specialist. - Yeah.
- 27:47We'd missed the Baseldon doctor for that
- 27:50- Because of the times.
- 27:51- They said, "Oh, you need to go to
- 27:52Broomfield, see someone there."
- 27:54- Yeah.
- 27:55- Anyway. - Yeah. But he hadn't been back. We think
- 27:57- He swallowed it.
- 27:58- He hadn't been to Broomfield since the day he was born.
- 28:01- No. The - First time. I did
- 28:03- Try to tell him that about five times. You
- 28:04- Did okay. Could not
- 28:05- Care less like that.
- 28:06I got something stuck in my throat.
- 28:07- You stop boring me. And he was obviously being sick
- 28:09and like - Yeah, he was really sick as
- 28:11- Well, which is obviously really,
- 28:12that was the worrying part.
- 28:13- Yeah. But he's fine now. And- And I didn't poo
- 28:17- Myself.
- 28:18I realized as I got out of the car
- 28:21that it was the bottle lid
- 28:22- And I was all relieved. I was like walking in
- 28:24- Smiling, - Happy that I wasn't like -
- 28:26I haven't lost the ability. Yeah.
- 28:28- And whilst Caleb was being sick.
- 28:30- I tried - To tell him to cheer him up,
- 28:31but he didn't find it that funny.
- 28:32- God bless him. Poor Caleb.
- 28:35But anyway, I hadn't told you that story yet.
- 28:37- No, see. - It's never a dull moment in this house.
- 28:41- Yeah, that - Was like a Monday
- 28:42- Night, wasn't - It?
- 28:43It always feels like if everyone...
- 28:45I'm always worried about saying, oh,
- 28:46everyone's good at the moment because then -
- 28:49- Ironically, he had orthodontist booked for the next day
- 28:51because he'd said that it'd broken. So I'd
- 28:53- Booked it the - Week before.
- 28:54And I said, when you get emergency appointment? And they
- 28:56- Said the next one we've - Got is on Tuesday.
- 28:57I think we found on a Wednesday. Yeah. So he
- 28:59- Had all of that and then the next day - The poor kid. I
- 29:01- Was like, mate, we've - Got to go and get it fixed. We
- 29:03- Have to go and - Fix it.
- 29:04Yeah. And you did say to the dentist
- 29:06and he was like, "Oh yeah, I can see a big
- 29:07scratch in your throat." Yeah, the back
- 29:08- Of his throat. Yeah.
- 29:10- It's like we were talking for so long
- 29:12that my camera just cut off.
- 29:13It said that the memory card is just full.
- 29:15- So we've just - Deleted some - So it's probably a sign
- 29:18to just stop talking now. Can I do that in your
- 29:22- Life?
- 29:23- What? - I've run out of memory. Can you stop talking?
- 29:29- Any other updates? I'm trying to think.
- 29:32We've got phrases due to sees. I think I mentioned that.
- 29:35So it's obviously year 11. Feels all very
- 29:37serious at the moment.
- 29:38He needs to revise, but
- 29:41because he's quite naturally academic, he
- 29:44just thinks he'll do all right. So
- 29:46- We need to drum that - In.
- 29:47It's quite hard to say,
- 29:48"You actually probably should revise." I just
- 29:51felt I hate nagging.
- 29:52I hate saying, "Oh, maybe you should."
- 29:54- You hate nagging?
- 29:55- Yeah, I hate - - Your children.
- 29:58- Fuck, you're fine. - Yeah, thanks.
- 30:00- Yeah. - He'll be fine. But yeah,
- 30:02he needs to get his head down.
- 30:03- Yeah. - Set the example.
- 30:06- Anything else been going on? I can't think.
- 30:09- No. We're divorced.
- 30:11They know that, right? Just kidding.
- 30:15- We just did it for the thumbnail. No, just kidding.
- 30:16- Yeah. Yeah.
- 30:18- Click bait. So we can put it as the title now. I'm
- 30:20- Kidding. Yeah. We said it in the
- 30:21- Video. I've never - Are we
- 30:22- Getting - Divorced?
- 30:23I've never done that, the click bait thing
- 30:25because I think then you click
- 30:27on it, it's just disappointing.
- 30:29- That's - Why we
- 30:30- Don't get it.
- 30:31That's why the views are crap.
- 30:32- I know. I know.
- 30:57- Searching for something
- 30:59that ain't lost.
- 31:07We're wasting time on stuff that doesn't really matter.
- 31:12While wishing for something better.
- 31:22Misunderstandings of words unspoken.
- 31:28We fall apart
- 31:30and I won't dare to say,
- 31:33do you feel the same way?
- 31:42Or maybe I'm not enough for you.
- 31:49If I had known from the start, this would never deal
- 31:52with broken hearts because I don't want to waste my time.
- 32:03- Okay, so for winter,
- 32:04we've moved the trampoline onto the patio because
- 32:06otherwise it just ruins the grass
- 32:08and then the kids don't have to walk on the
- 32:10grass to get to it either.
- 32:12Sorry if it's windy.
- 32:17This is very thin,
- 32:19but this game, just underscore run, Jackson is home.
- 32:23He really wants a hot chocolate
- 32:24because it's a bit cold and rainy.
- 32:26And now I'm going to make dinner as well.
- 32:27And tonight we're having hidden veggie sausage rolls.
- 32:30This is one I used to show all the time when the boys were
- 32:33really little because in the sausage meat you hide grated
- 32:37carrots and grated corget, so they don't really notice it
- 32:41and they love it and it's just like a nice easy one.
- 32:43And then Matt has bought chip shop chips to go with it.
- 32:48So it's just like a nice chilled one
- 32:50because it's actually Friday, so we're going
- 32:52to have this meal
- 32:53and then tonight we're going to watch the traders.
- 32:55I think I said that to you. So yeah,
- 32:57we're going to make the sausage roll.
- 32:58It's super easy. It's basically sausage meat,
- 33:00the grated veggies, and you put it in like a ready-made puff
- 33:03pastry and you can put it in the air fryer or the oven
- 33:07and then you do an egg wash on it as well.
- 33:09But yeah, just going to make that now.
- 33:19- Life is a winding road.
- 33:23No telling where it goes.
- 33:26Driving through days
- 33:28and nights won't stop for traffic lights.
- 33:37I really want to know.
- 33:42If I figure out
- 33:46where the road goes.
- 33:51Even if I'm falling down, I will keep on searching
- 33:54for my highs.
- 33:59You can say I lost my mind.
- 34:01I will keep on holding my head high
- 34:05even if the sky's falling down.
- 34:22Jumping from cliff so high,
- 34:26trusting owings to fly.
- 34:30Sometimes we're crashing down, but we get up
- 34:35and start from the ground.
- 34:55Even if I'm falling down, I will keep on searching
- 34:58for my highs.
- 35:03You can say I lost my mind.
- 35:05I will keep on holding my head high.
- 35:09Even if the sky is falling down.
- 35:13Even the sky is falling down.
- 35:17Sky is falling
- 35:19- Down.
- 35:22So we have eaten. I've done a quick tidy up.
- 35:25Does anyone else feel like you struggle to
- 35:27relax on the couch if there is mess around you?
- 35:31So I've wiped down the surfaces, put the dishes away,
- 35:34wiped the table, just quick hoover
- 35:35because that was the only thing about our dinner.
- 35:36There were crumbs everywhere.
- 35:39Sorted down the couch a tiny bit
- 35:41and now when Traitors is on at 8:00,
- 35:43we can all just like chill on the couch.
- 35:46Matt has done a little fire. It's actually really cold now.
- 35:49Well, not really cold, but you can feel the cold now,
- 35:52but he doesn't want to put the heating on until November.
- 35:57But that is so, so lovely.
- 35:58And all I want to do is lay on the couch and just chill.
- 36:02But I do have to do a little workout today.
- 36:05So he's just taking Kiki out for a little...
- 36:08We do a little walk around the block.
- 36:10So while he's doing that, I'm going
- 36:11to do a quick little 30 minute workout.
- 36:13You know the ones that I normally do.
- 36:14I'm going to do that, then have a little shower,
- 36:18get all the boys to shower, and then we can chill.
- 36:22Fraser is actually out tonight.
- 36:24He's at a friend's house, so he's not here with us,
- 36:27but I'm hoping to get everyone just sorted
- 36:30so we can sit on the couch.
- 36:32I was hoping to get some snacks, wasn't I, Jay?
- 36:35I was thinking, oh, maybe we could do like traitor inspired
- 36:39snacks and maybe I could film one and make a reel out of it.
- 36:43And then the days just fly, don't they?
- 36:47Does anyone else feel like the
- 36:48six hours when they're at school?
- 36:49I can literally just get a few bits done
- 36:52and then it's time to pick them up again.
- 36:54So anyway, I'm going to do my little workout.
- 36:56I think I'll film it, but maybe I'll do a time lapse.
- 36:58I don't want to bore you. I've seen it a million times
- 37:01before, but I'm going to do that
- 37:03and then we can just hang out on the couch.
- 37:06Sorry, I feel like this isn't like the most exciting blog,
- 37:09but it is just my life.
- 37:13So yeah, that's about it.
- 37:36- I just want you to know that
- 37:39I didn't throw your stuff away.
- 37:42Before you make up your mind that I know where
- 37:47to find them standing right here.
- 38:16- So Jackson is currently building one of his 3D prints.
- 38:20He has printed out all these little body parts.
- 38:23I don't even know if this is going to show up,
- 38:24but that's a little tiny hand.
- 38:27There's parts for legs, heads, et cetera.
- 38:31He's actually done a gold version and a red version
- 38:36and he's building this little man.
- 38:37Should I show them how it's looking
- 38:38so far? Is it just there?
- 38:41- It's a dummy 13. - Oh, it's a dummy 13,
- 38:44but it's really, really tricky.
- 38:47It's really difficult.
- 38:48Okay, so we're all bathed and showered.
- 38:50We are just about to sit down and watch Celebrity Traitors,
- 38:53but I'm going to make a hot chocolate for the boys
- 38:56with marshmallows and then we're all
- 38:58going to watch it as a family.
- 38:59It is our favorite show to watch as a family.
- 39:03If you haven't watched it with the kids,
- 39:05last season's Celebrity Traitors was so good.
- 39:10And because it's last seasons, you could binge watch it all.
- 39:13The only thing that drives us crazy about
- 39:16celebrity traitors now is you have
- 39:18to watch it and then wait.
- 39:20So it's only on a Thursday and a Friday
- 39:22and you have to actually wait, whereas we're so used
- 39:25to now binging series, aren't we?
- 39:27But it's fun. So we're going to watch it together.
- 39:29We're going to make a hot chocolate
- 39:31and I think I'll end the vlog here
- 39:32because we're literally just going to get all cozy
- 39:35and then get the boys to bed.
- 39:37And yeah, but I hope you enjoyed this video.
- 39:40Thank you so much as always for watching.
- 39:43Don't forget, I will put all the links in the description
- 39:45to everything I showed from Halara in my hall

- 40:02Bye. Do you want to say bye? Bye.
- 40:04He's like, "You're not making it quick enough." Bye.
- 40:08And borrow some lists.
- 40:17- We've got the mini.
- 40:22- Does it work?
