  24. 0:45[applause]
  25. 0:46>> And And thank you to all of you for
  26. 0:49being here this evening. It is an honor
  27. 0:51to be in Arlington, Texas, to be
  28. 0:54in
  29. 0:55the American Dream City.
  30. 0:58And that is
  31. 1:00And that is so appropriate because
  32. 1:02tonight we are kicking off our new
  33. 1:05American Dream tour. One thing
  34. 1:08>> [cheering]
  35. 1:09>> One thing is clear across this state.
  36. 1:13Big cities, small towns, red areas, blue
  37. 1:16areas alike,
  38. 1:18everyone is struggling.
  39. 1:20No matter how hard Texans work,
  40. 1:23no matter how much they save, sacrifice,
  41. 1:27and stretch,
  42. 1:28those ends never seem to meet.
  43. 1:32After tonight, we're traveling to 10
  44. 1:35cities across Texas to talk about a new
  45. 1:38vision for our economy,
  46. 1:40to talk about a new American Dream.
  47. 1:44A few days before America's 250th
  48. 1:47birthday,
  49. 1:48I met a grandmother in Houston.
  50. 1:52Her name is Augusta.
  51. 1:54Augusta cares for her 5-year-old
  52. 1:57grandson who has autism.
  53. 1:59She works at the airport
  54. 2:02clocking 10-hour shifts
  55. 2:04cleaning planes after the passengers get
  56. 2:07off.
  57. 2:08It's backbreaking work.
  58. 2:10But Augusta shows up
  59. 2:12day in and day out.
  60. 2:15She is serving
  61. 2:17her community.
  62. 2:18In return for that service
  63. 2:21to squeeze a little more profit
  64. 2:23out of Augusta
  65. 2:25the airlines cut the AC
  66. 2:28in the planes.
  67. 2:30So Augusta
  68. 2:31spends all day on the tarmac
  69. 2:34in a tin can
  70. 2:36in the Texas heat
  71. 2:38spraying and scrubbing
  72. 2:40and picking up trash as fast as she can
  73. 2:43before the next plane lands.
  74. 2:45Her wages don't cover her basic living
  75. 2:49expenses
  76. 2:50including rent
  77. 2:51for her small apartment which is now
  78. 2:54$1,500 a month.
  79. 2:56Now she and her grandson
  80. 2:59are facing eviction.
  81. 3:01Augusta
  82. 3:03is working hard.
  83. 3:04She is taking responsibility.
  84. 3:07She is caring for those around her.
  85. 3:10What kind of country are we
  86. 3:13if we let a woman like that go down?
  87. 3:16In the US Senate we're going to have
  88. 3:18Augusta's back.
  89. 3:20We are going to have
  90. 3:23>> [applause]
  91. 3:25>> We are going to have the backs
  92. 3:27of every Texan who is working hard and
  93. 3:30playing by the rules.
  94. 3:32We know it doesn't have to be this way
  95. 3:35because we know it wasn't always this
  96. 3:38way.
  97. 3:39The young people here might not remember
  98. 3:41this, but those of you who are a little
  99. 3:43older may.
  100. 3:45Not so long ago
  101. 3:46you could afford to live a good life in
  102. 3:49America.
  103. 3:50You could buy a home in your 20s.
  104. 3:53You could go to college for cheap or
  105. 3:55free.
  106. 3:57You could support a whole family on one
  107. 4:00paycheck.
  108. 4:01You could afford to get married, to have
  109. 4:03kids, to retire comfortably.
  110. 4:06You could fulfill
  111. 4:08your God-given potential.
  112. 4:11We called it
  113. 4:12the American dream.
  114. 4:14In the middle of the 20th century, we
  115. 4:17invested in healthcare and education.
  116. 4:20We built homes and highways.
  117. 4:23We protected workers' rights and
  118. 4:25workers' paychecks.
  119. 4:27We blocked consolidation and we
  120. 4:29encouraged competition.
  121. 4:31We built the largest, strongest middle
  122. 4:35class in the history of the world.
  123. 4:39But today,
  124. 4:40that middle class has disappeared.
  125. 4:43For too many of our neighbors,
  126. 4:46for too many Texans like Augusta,
  127. 4:48the American dream
  128. 4:50has become an American nightmare.
  129. 4:53It is too expensive to buy a home. It's
  130. 4:55too expensive to get married and have
  131. 4:57kids. It's too expensive to retire
  132. 5:00comfortably.
  133. 5:02People are working hard. Every day
  134. 5:04they're playing by the rules, but those
  135. 5:06rules of today weren't written for us.
  136. 5:10They were written for billionaires.
  137. 5:13We can't afford a home, but Jeff Bezos
  138. 5:16has at least a dozen.
  139. 5:19We can't afford to fill up our tank, but
  140. 5:21Mark Zuckerberg is launching helicopters
  141. 5:24off his mega yacht.
  142. 5:26One in five Texas children
  143. 5:29live in poverty.
  144. 5:31But one of our own residents became the
  145. 5:34world's first trillionaire.
  146. 5:37Those
  147. 5:39Those three men
  148. 5:41now own more wealth than the entire
  149. 5:44middle class.
  150. 5:46The top 1%
  151. 5:48has put the American dream behind a
  152. 5:50paywall.
  153. 5:5250 years ago
  154. 5:54a corporate lawyer
  155. 5:56named Lewis Powell circulated a memo
  156. 5:58around DC.
  157. 6:00A blueprint for how corporations could
  158. 6:03amass political power,
  159. 6:05reverse the gains of the Great Society
  160. 6:07and the New Deal,
  161. 6:09and rig the system for themselves.
  162. 6:11The Powell memo outlined a strategy
  163. 6:15unite corporate special interests,
  164. 6:17privilege corporate perspectives in the
  165. 6:20media,
  166. 6:21appoint sympathetic judges to the court,
  167. 6:24and buy politicians in both political
  168. 6:27parties.
  169. 6:29And it worked.
  170. 6:30Republicans and some Democrats sold the
  171. 6:34false gospel of trickle-down economics.
  172. 6:38That
  173. 6:40>> [cheering]
  174. 6:40>> That idea
  175. 6:42that the best way to grow the economy is
  176. 6:45to let the rich get richer and forget
  177. 6:47about everybody else.
  178. 6:49That the best way to motivate wealthy
  179. 6:52people is to give them money.
  180. 6:54And the best way to motivate the rest of
  181. 6:56us is to take it away.
  182. 6:59Someday, somehow, they told us the gains
  183. 7:03would trickle down to the rest of us.
  184. 7:05Trickle-down economics is not a theory.
  185. 7:09It is theft.
  186. 7:11For 50 years
  187. 7:13>> [cheering and applause]
  188. 7:16>> For 50 years
  189. 7:18billionaire mega donors and their puppet
  190. 7:21politicians have been stealing from the
  191. 7:24American people.
  192. 7:25Stealing the wealth that we created
  193. 7:29with their bribes,
  194. 7:30their bailouts,
  195. 7:32and their billionaire tax breaks.
  196. 7:34This
  197. 7:35affordability crisis
  198. 7:37isn't something that happened over the
  199. 7:39last 5 years.
  200. 7:41This affordability crisis has been 50
  201. 7:44years in the making.
  202. 7:46Since the late 1970s, mega donors and
  203. 7:49corporate special interests have been
  204. 7:51buying politicians in both political
  205. 7:53parties.
  206. 7:54And then those politicians turned around
  207. 7:56and rigged the economy to benefit their
  208. 7:59wealthy donors at our expense.
  209. 8:01We have an affordability crisis because
  210. 8:05we have a corruption crisis.
  211. 8:07We
  212. 8:11>> [applause]
  213. 8:15>> We
  214. 8:16are getting screwed.
  215. 8:18Whether whether you're a little more
  216. 8:21conservative or a little more
  217. 8:22progressive, we're all getting screwed.
  218. 8:26None of us can afford groceries. None of
  219. 8:28us can afford gas. None of us can afford
  220. 8:31health care.
  221. 8:32The billionaires buying the system,
  222. 8:35buying politicians like Ken Paxton, they
  223. 8:39don't care who you are.
  224. 8:41They don't care about your politics.
  225. 8:44They only care about their profits.
  226. 8:47They don't see us as Democrats and
  227. 8:50Republicans.
  228. 8:52They don't see red or blue.
  229. 8:55They only see green.
  230. 8:57They see us
  231. 8:59They see us as people to rip off.
  232. 9:03They see us as one opposing team. So, we
  233. 9:06might as well start acting like one.
  234. 9:09It's time.
  235. 9:12>> [applause]
  236. 9:12[cheering]
  237. 9:17>> It's time.
  238. 9:19It's time for us to come together across
  239. 9:22these manufactured divisions to take on
  240. 9:26the people at the top who have been
  241. 9:28screwing us over for far too long.
  242. 9:31Because the real fight in this country
  243. 9:34is not left versus right.
  244. 9:37It's top versus bottom. That [cheering]
  245. 9:43>> [applause]
  246. 9:44>> That is the movement
  247. 9:46that we are building here in Texas.
  248. 9:49This is not a politics of fear.
  249. 9:52This is not a politics of division.
  250. 9:55This is a politics of unity.
  251. 9:58A politics of friendship.
  252. 10:01A politics of love.
  253. 10:04This new kind of politics can change our
  254. 10:06state.
  255. 10:07It can change our country.
  256. 10:10This new kind of politics can build a
  257. 10:13new American dream.
  258. 10:16We need
  259. 10:18>> [applause]
  260. 10:19>> We need
  261. 10:21We need a new American dream for today's
  262. 10:24economy.
  263. 10:25We forget
  264. 10:27that the idea behind capitalism was
  265. 10:30simple and at the time revolutionary.
  266. 10:33People should get fairly compensated for
  267. 10:36their labor.
  268. 10:37We should get paid for our work.
  269. 10:40But that's not what we have right now.
  270. 10:44Today, we have an economy that rewards
  271. 10:47wealth instead of work.
  272. 10:49You can't tell me
  273. 10:51that the market is working as it should
  274. 10:54when billionaires are becoming
  275. 10:56trillionaires while the people who
  276. 10:58actually do all the work can't afford
  277. 11:00the basics.
  278. 11:06>> [applause]
  279. 11:07>> Adam Smith
  280. 11:09Adam Smith is rolling over in his grave.
  281. 11:13This is not capitalism. This is crony
  282. 11:16capitalism.
  283. 11:17>> [cheering and applause]
  284. 11:21>> As Dr. King said,
  285. 11:23we have socialism for the rich
  286. 11:26and rugged individualism for the poor.
  287. 11:30It's time.
  288. 11:32It is time to raise the minimum wage and
  289. 11:36expand overtime pay so workers can
  290. 11:38actually share in the wealth they
  291. 11:40create.
  292. 11:41>> [cheering]
  293. 11:42[applause]
  294. 11:46>> It's time
  295. 11:47to repeal the big ugly bills tax breaks
  296. 11:50for the top 1%
  297. 11:53>> [cheering]
  298. 11:55[applause]
  299. 11:56>> and
  300. 11:58and give that $1 trillion to the middle
  301. 12:02class in the form of a cost of living
  302. 12:04tax cut.
  303. 12:09>> [applause]
  304. 12:09>> It's time.
  305. 12:11It's time to cut taxes for small local
  306. 12:14businesses instead of giant
  307. 12:16multinational corporations.
  308. 12:18>> [cheering]
  309. 12:23>> And it is time
  310. 12:24to rebuild labor unions in this country
  311. 12:28so employees can negotiate with their
  312. 12:30bosses for fairer pay, better benefits,
  313. 12:34and safer working conditions.
  314. 12:38>> [cheering]
  315. 12:41>> Working Texans
  316. 12:43Working Texans are drowning.
  317. 12:46And they're drowning in debt.
  318. 12:49Household debt reached an all-time high
  319. 12:53in the first quarter of this year.
  320. 12:55It is time to cancel medical debt and
  321. 12:58stop hospitals and insurance companies
  322. 13:01from overcharging their patients.
  323. 13:05>> [cheering and applause]
  324. 13:10>> You shouldn't go into debt just because
  325. 13:12you get sick.
  326. 13:14It is time.
  327. 13:16It is time to also cap sky-high credit
  328. 13:20card interest cards and re- and reel in
  329. 13:24these predatory credit card companies
  330. 13:26that are ripping off working people
  331. 13:28across this state and across this
  332. 13:30country.
  333. 13:36>> [applause]
  334. 13:37>> It is time to invest in college and
  335. 13:40career education like we did with the GI
  336. 13:43Bill to educate an entire new generation
  337. 13:46of Americans without saddling them with
  338. 13:49a lifetime of student debt.
  339. 13:54And it's not just personal debt.
  340. 13:56We have to get serious about the
  341. 13:58national debt, which is higher than at
  342. 14:01any other point in American history. We
  343. 14:04are stealing from future generations.
  344. 14:07We're always told that the only way to
  345. 14:10lower the debt is to do it on the backs
  346. 14:13of working people.
  347. 14:15But that's not true.
  348. 14:17We can close the deficit and we can do
  349. 14:19it by closing billionaire tax loopholes,
  350. 14:22cracking down
  351. 14:24>> [cheering]
  352. 14:30>> cracking down
  353. 14:32on tax cheats and ending forever wars
  354. 14:35that send billions of our tax dollars
  355. 14:37overseas.
  356. 14:39>> [cheering]
  357. 14:41[applause]
  358. 14:43[cheering]
  359. 14:46>> We need
  360. 14:47We need a new American dream for today's
  361. 14:50families.
  362. 14:52I am running for LBJ's Senate seat.
  363. 14:56Like
  364. 14:57>> [cheering]
  365. 14:58>> Like me
  366. 14:59Lyndon Johnson was a Texas teacher
  367. 15:02before he ran for office.
  368. 15:04And
  369. 15:05And in office
  370. 15:07LBJ made the largest federal investment
  371. 15:12in America's children and families
  372. 15:15larger than anything we'd ever seen in
  373. 15:17the history of this country.
  374. 15:19Head Start, Title One, Medicare,
  375. 15:22Medicaid, public television.
  376. 15:25>> [cheering]
  377. 15:27>> When
  378. 15:30>> [applause]
  379. 15:31>> When we win back LBJ's seat, we can pass
  380. 15:36an LBJ-sized investment in public
  381. 15:39schools across this country.
  382. 15:41>> [cheering]
  383. 15:47[applause and cheering]
  384. 15:49>> We
  385. 15:51We can pass universal child care and
  386. 15:54paid family leave, so no one has to
  387. 15:56choose between earning a living and
  388. 15:59raising a family.
  389. 16:01>> [cheering]
  390. 16:06[applause]
  391. 16:06>> We can
  392. 16:08We can expand the child tax credit and
  393. 16:11make it permanent, so no child lives in
  394. 16:14poverty in the wealthiest nation in the
  395. 16:16history of the world.
  396. 16:18>> [cheering]
  397. 16:19[applause]
  398. 16:23>> We can slash the red tape preventing us
  399. 16:27from building new homes across this
  400. 16:29country, and we can provide down payment
  401. 16:31assistance to first-time home buyers, so
  402. 16:34every American has a place they can call
  403. 16:36home.
  404. 16:38>> [cheering]
  405. 16:38[applause]
  406. 16:44>> And we can fight tooth and nail against
  407. 16:47attacks on Medicare and ensure that the
  408. 16:50wealthiest Americans are paying their
  409. 16:52fair share into Social Security, so
  410. 16:54every American can afford to retire with
  411. 16:57dignity.
  412. 16:59>> [cheering]
  413. 17:00[applause]
  414. 17:03>> We need
  415. 17:04a new American dream for today's energy.
  416. 17:09Texas is the undisputed energy capital
  417. 17:12of America.
  418. 17:14We are number one in oil and gas. We're
  419. 17:16also number one in wind and solar.
  420. 17:20We
  421. 17:23We are an all the above energy
  422. 17:25powerhouse, which is what true energy
  423. 17:28independence requires. Gas in your tank,
  424. 17:31oil under your hood, and a solar panel
  425. 17:34on your roof. Cheap, reliable energy for
  426. 17:38all.
  427. 17:39It is time.
  428. 17:41It is time to stop attacking our growing
  429. 17:45renewable sector in Texas. Do not play
  430. 17:47politics with our Texas energy industry.
  431. 17:53>> [cheering]
  432. 17:54[applause]
  433. 17:56>> We should
  434. 17:58We should invest in the renewable energy
  435. 18:01technologies of the future. And we
  436. 18:03should partner with our oil and gas
  437. 18:05industry, so Texas can stay an energy
  438. 18:08leader in the 21st century, just like we
  439. 18:11were in the 20th century. Texas should
  440. 18:14leverage
  441. 18:16our energy expertise to lead America
  442. 18:19toward a cleaner, cheaper future.
  443. 18:22And we need a new American dream for
  444. 18:26today's technology.
  445. 18:28We cannot let artificial intelligence
  446. 18:31become yet another arena where
  447. 18:34billionaires write the rules for the
  448. 18:36rest of us.
  449. 18:38>> [cheering]
  450. 18:41[applause]
  451. 18:44>> Working people,
  452. 18:46working people must get a say and a
  453. 18:50share of that AI future.
  454. 18:53We can start by cracking down on the
  455. 18:56data centers that are jacking up our
  456. 18:58utility bills and using up all our
  457. 19:00water.
  458. 19:03>> [applause]
  459. 19:05[cheering]
  460. 19:06>> And if data center companies can't meet
  461. 19:09our demands, they shouldn't be built in
  462. 19:11our communities.
  463. 19:12>> [cheering]
  464. 19:15>> We
  465. 19:17We can go further. We can establish an
  466. 19:20AI dividend. So, every American citizen
  467. 19:23owns a piece of these American AI
  468. 19:26companies. If they are going to use our
  469. 19:29human ingenuity, if they're going to use
  470. 19:32our collective intellectual property,
  471. 19:35then we want our royalty checks.
  472. 19:38>> [cheering]
  473. 19:42>> And
  474. 19:44and
  475. 19:45we can double down on human creativity.
  476. 19:49We can invest in entrepreneurship grants
  477. 19:53for people with a great idea, for a
  478. 19:55business, for an invention, for a piece
  479. 19:58of art, but don't know any big
  480. 20:00investors.
  481. 20:01Startup funding for the little guy.
  482. 20:04It'll pay off
  483. 20:06just like it did when the government
  484. 20:08invested in companies like Tesla and
  485. 20:11innovations like the internet.
  486. 20:13The people at the top are afraid of this
  487. 20:17new American dream.
  488. 20:19They're scared of this room in
  489. 20:22Arlington, Texas, of all of us coming
  490. 20:25together across race and gender and age
  491. 20:28and party
  492. 20:30to dream a little bigger.
  493. 20:32They're going to claim
  494. 20:34that this new dream is radical.
  495. 20:36They're going to claim that it's
  496. 20:38extreme.
  497. 20:39They're going to claim we're socialist
  498. 20:42or communist or whatever sounds scariest
  499. 20:45in a headline.
  500. 20:47And in return, we'll say,
  501. 20:49"Is that the best you can do?"
  502. 20:52>> [cheering]
  503. 20:52>> These
  504. 20:56>> [applause]
  505. 20:57>> These are
  506. 20:59These are the same old scare tactics.
  507. 21:03This is the same old politics of the
  508. 21:05past.
  509. 21:07The names they'll call us the only
  510. 21:10reveal how small their dreams really
  511. 21:13are.
  512. 21:14The people
  513. 21:16the people at the top want this to be a
  514. 21:18contest of names
  515. 21:21because they know that they'll lose a
  516. 21:23contest of ideas.
  517. 21:30Both
  518. 21:32Both the math
  519. 21:35and the past make it clear
  520. 21:38that a country that takes care of its
  521. 21:40people
  522. 21:41grows faster than a country that
  523. 21:43abandons them.
  524. 21:46>> [cheering]
  525. 21:46[applause]
  526. 21:47>> In 1914
  527. 21:49in 1914
  528. 21:51when a reporter asked Henry Ford, a
  529. 21:53titan of industry, why he doubled the
  530. 21:56daily wage for all of his workers,
  531. 21:59legend says he gave them a simple
  532. 22:01answer.
  533. 22:02So they can afford to buy my cars.
  534. 22:07When you give
  535. 22:08When you give rich people money, they
  536. 22:10save it. When you give working people
  537. 22:12money, we spend it. We stimulate the
  538. 22:15economy.
  539. 22:16Despite
  540. 22:18what that false gospel of trickle-down
  541. 22:20economic tells us,
  542. 22:23pro-people policy
  543. 22:24is pro-growth policy. It is not an
  544. 22:28either-or choice.
  545. 22:30>> [applause]
  546. 22:31>> Listen.
  547. 22:33If you
  548. 22:35hate politics,
  549. 22:36I get it.
  550. 22:38If you don't think that you have time
  551. 22:40for
  552. 22:41for politics, I get that, too.
  553. 22:44And if you don't believe anything can
  554. 22:46good
  555. 22:47can come from the political process, I
  556. 22:49certainly get that.
  557. 22:51But let me explain
  558. 22:54why this moment
  559. 22:55in this state, in this race
  560. 22:58matters
  561. 22:59so much
  562. 23:01for your family
  563. 23:02and for your community.
  564. 23:04If you are struggling
  565. 23:06to afford groceries,
  566. 23:08if you're struggling to afford gas, if
  567. 23:10you're struggling to afford housing,
  568. 23:12child care, and prescription drugs, the
  569. 23:14things that we need to survive, it's not
  570. 23:17because you're lazy,
  571. 23:20it's not because you made bad choices,
  572. 23:23it is because the system has been rigged
  573. 23:25against you
  574. 23:27by billionaire mega donors and corrupt
  575. 23:29politicians like Ken Paxton.
  576. 23:32I
  577. 23:33>> [applause]
  578. 23:35>> I don't take
  579. 23:37I don't take corporate PAC money and I
  580. 23:39never will. If I
  581. 23:42>> [cheering]
  582. 23:46>> If I
  583. 23:49If I can earn your trust
  584. 23:52and if you send me to the United States
  585. 23:54Senate, I will be your senator. I'll be
  586. 23:59I'll be a senator
  587. 24:01I'll be a senator for every Texan who
  588. 24:03can't afford one.
  589. 24:05I will fight to unrig this economy. I
  590. 24:07will fight to lower your costs and raise
  591. 24:10your pay and unlike Ken Paxton, I will
  592. 24:13fight
  593. 24:14to put your hard-earned money where it
  594. 24:17belongs, in your pocket. I
  595. 24:20>> [cheering]
  596. 24:23[applause]
  597. 24:24>> I will fight
  598. 24:26to make sure that you can live a new
  599. 24:29American dream.
  600. 24:30A new American dream means if you're
  601. 24:32working hard and playing by the rules,
  602. 24:34you should be able to afford a house big
  603. 24:37enough to raise a family in.
  604. 24:39A quality education for yourself and for
  605. 24:42your kids. A retirement that is
  606. 24:45comfortable and secure and most
  607. 24:47importantly,
  608. 24:48time
  609. 24:49doing what you love with the people you
  610. 24:53love.
  611. 24:54A new
  612. 24:56>> [applause]
  613. 24:58>> A new American dream
  614. 25:00means you can start getting ahead
  615. 25:02instead of falling behind.
  616. 25:04A new American dream means you can rest
  617. 25:06your head on your pillow at night
  618. 25:08knowing your bank account is going up,
  619. 25:11not down.
  620. 25:12And you can wake up in the morning with
  621. 25:14full faith that your kids and their kids
  622. 25:19will also be able to live a new American
  623. 25:22dream of their own.
  624. 25:23Before I was a
  625. 25:25Before I was a politician on stages like
  626. 25:28this,
  627. 25:29I was a public school teacher in room
  628. 25:34in room
  629. 25:35>> [cheering and applause]
  630. 25:38>> in room 112 at Rhodes Middle School on
  631. 25:41the west side of San Antonio.
  632. 25:43The west side.
  633. 25:45The west side is a beautiful, historic
  634. 25:48neighborhood.
  635. 25:49It's also one of the poorest zip codes
  636. 25:52in the entire state of Texas.
  637. 25:54Every day I saw my students and their
  638. 25:56families struggle heroically
  639. 25:59to overcome a rigged system holding them
  640. 26:02back.
  641. 26:03My students
  642. 26:05weren't just kids, they were survivors,
  643. 26:08fighters, dreamers.
  644. 26:10My students, many of them immigrants
  645. 26:13or children of immigrants,
  646. 26:16understood something about America that
  647. 26:19our leaders have forgotten.
  648. 26:22That this is supposed to be the land of
  649. 26:24opportunity.
  650. 26:25That this is the place where dreams can
  651. 26:29come true.
  652. 26:30We deserve
  653. 26:32the chance to chase our dreams,
  654. 26:34to pursue happiness.
  655. 26:36That's how it used to be in this
  656. 26:38country, and it can be that way again.
  657. 26:41We can reject the corruption that has
  658. 26:44defined both parties for decades.
  659. 26:46We can build an America of limitless
  660. 26:49opportunity
  661. 26:51for people like Augusta
  662. 26:53and her grandson
  663. 26:55for students
  664. 26:57like mine on the west side of San
  665. 26:58Antonio
  666. 27:00and for every single family with an
  667. 27:02American dream of their own.
  668. 27:04That is why I'm running.
  669. 27:07That is why I am in this race. That is
  670. 27:09what this election is about. In the US
  671. 27:12Senate we're going to have Augusta's
  672. 27:14back. In the US Senate we are going to
  673. 27:16have my students backs.
  674. 27:19And in the US Senate we are going to
  675. 27:21have the back of every Texan who is
  676. 27:23working hard and playing by the rules
  677. 27:25across this state and together we will
  678. 27:28build a new American dream. Thank you
  679. 27:30for being here in Arlington. God bless
  680. 27:32you.
  681. 27:33>> [cheering]
  682. 27:33>> God bless the great American city
  683. 27:37>> [applause]
  684. 27:38>> and God bless the great state of Texas.
  685. 27:39Thank y'all. Let's go win this thing.
  686. 27:41Thank you.
  687. 27:42>> [cheering]
  688. 27:45>> Only in America,
  689. 27:48dreaming in red, white, and blue.
  690. 27:51>> [music]
