6. 0:20collection pen we actually thought it
7. 0:22might have been her shoulder that was
8. 0:23the problem but once we got our grinder
9. 0:26out and removed some of the muck whilst
10. 0:28balancing up the claws we soon realized
11. 0:31that the most likely problem was within
12. 0:34her white line and had nothing to do
13. 0:36with her shoulder
14. 0:38whatsoever which for us as professional
15. 0:40hoof trimmers is exactly what we wanted
16. 0:43to find because it meant we could do
17. 0:45something about
18. 0:48it now that I find the telltale signs of
19. 0:51Aion in her white line I was feeling
20. 0:53around the heel bulb of her foot to see
21. 0:55if there is a cavity but at this point
22. 0:58it's very difficult to tell if there is
23. 1:01or not but that is all just about to

39. 2:04to see what's under there but I need to
40. 2:07stop anything from being trapped within
41. 2:09this cow's foot and making this problem
42. 2:12even worse than it already

45. 2:30within this hoof but none of us know
46. 2:32exactly how far it stretches there must
47. 2:35be a huge hole up in there can feel it
48. 2:37all the way around our
49. 2:38fot trimming a hoof like this takes time
50. 2:41and patience you need to take your time
51. 2:43and take Slither by Slither until you
52. 2:45can be absolutely 100% certain you know

59. 3:26actually had a sore leg because of the

86. 5:02then pull this
87. 5:08away lets me get my next few Cuts in as
88. 5:11well now cuz I can get in
89. 5:15there we'll give this wash out we're
90. 5:17going to reduce the height of this with
91. 5:19the grinder so that I can strip away
92. 5:21more layers of this ho horn and reveal
93. 5:23what is underneath here whilst also
94. 5:25getting ready for this to take a block
95. 5:30Hoof Trimming to me is incredibly
96. 5:33interesting I've done lots of different
97. 5:35things throughout my life from being a
98. 5:37farmer's son to a butcher a club
99. 5:39promoter I've run coffee shops
100. 5:41restaurants but this this keeps me
101. 5:45interested every single day I'm learning
102. 5:47new things about different cows feet no
103. 5:50two are the same no two problems are the
104. 5:52same and every time I revisit a cow I
105. 5:55get new information on what has or has
106. 5:59not worked I love the constant new
107. 6:02challenges can actually get my finger in
108. 6:04behind this H horn here meaning that it
109. 6:06needs to come

111. 6:11away you can see the heart of the Legion
112. 6:14here that white Mass on her corium that
113. 6:17is basically decaying tissue from the
114. 6:20fight that the cow has had with this
115. 6:22raging infection

117. 6:44we've now stripped almost the entire so
118. 6:47away from this cow's hoof capsule we've
119. 6:49removed a huge amount of hoof horn but
120. 6:52it was needed if we think back earlier
121. 6:55on we could look inside the hoof capsule
122. 6:57because we could see the hoof was not
123. 6:59attached to the corium all we've done is
124. 7:02remove the overburdening hoorn so that
125. 7:04now nothing can be trapped within the
126. 7:06soul making this problem even worse the
127. 7:10block is going to take the vast majority
128. 7:11of this cow's weight so that every time
129. 7:14she steps she's not hurting herself and
130. 7:17the corium can begin to regenerate and
131. 7:19regrow good sound
132. 7:22huorn a cow like this will recover
133. 7:24fairly quickly from a problem like this
134. 7:27as long as you catch her in time which
135. 7:29I'm glad to say on this occasion we have
136. 7:33and as you can see she's already
137. 7:35beginning to use her block
