- 0:11Dear viewers, peace, mercy, and
- 0:13blessings of God be upon you. In this
- 0:17episode, we will talk about Eid al-Adha
- 0:20and the Eid prayer. Why? Because many
- 0:23people think that slaughtering a sheep
- 0:26on Eid al-Adha is mandatory, as well as
- 0:28performing the Eid prayer. Some people
- 0:31have even started issuing religious
- 0:33rulings on making up the missed Eid
- 0:34prayer. And if there is a "making up"
- 0:37for the Eid prayer, then this...
- 0:39indicates that they believe the Eid
- 0:41prayer is mandatory, which is why they
- 0:44ordered those who could not pray it on
- 0:47time to make it up. However, we will
- 0:50return to the Book of God to
- 0:52distinguish what belongs to the
- 0:55Messenger and what...belongs to God;
- 0:58meaning, what is the Sunnah and what is
- 1:01the Book? Because some of us have made
- 1:04the Sunnah a book. When I speak about
- 1:08the Sunnah, I do not mean Hadith; no, I
- 1:12say the Sunnah means what the Prophet
- 1:15did voluntarily, not as a duty. And
- 1:19this is the difference between the Book
- 1:21and the Sunnah. The Book is from God,
- 1:23and the Sunnah is...from the Messenger.
- 1:26But this Sunnah has nothing to do with
- 1:29religious legislation; rather, it has
- 1:32to do with good deeds. Why? Because the
- 1:34Messenger knew the Quran. He knew its
- 1:37boundaries. And he knew that he had no
- 1:40right to legislate from the religion
- 1:42what God had not permitted. But there
- 1:45are good practices. And these practices
- 1:48have to do with good deeds. Because God
- 1:51Almighty said: "And whoever volunteers
- 1:53good, then it is better for him." That
- 1:56is why the Messenger used to volunteer
- 1:58as much as he could. And this
- 2:00volunteering, many people have made it
- 2:03part of the religion. But we will show
- 2:05that it is not part of the religion.
- 2:07Because the religion is what is inside
- 2:10the Quran. And the traditions are what
- 2:13we inherited through action, not
- 2:16through speech. Meaning, I am not
- 2:18talking about Hadith. The first thing I
- 2:21will show is why some people think that
- 2:23Eid al-Adha is mandatory. And that the
- 2:27Eid prayer is mandatory. It is from
- 2:29what we have inherited from our fathers
- 2:31, always from our fathers. And when you
- 2:34find disagreement among our fathers
- 2:37about something, know that God is
- 2:40innocent of it. Because no one
- 2:43disagrees on establishing prayer. No
- 2:46one disagrees on the obligation of
- 2:48fasting. No one disagrees on the
- 2:50obligation of Hajj. No one, because God
- 2:53mentioned it in the Quran. But when you
- 2:56find disagreement in the fundamentals,
- 2:58not in the details. I am talking about
- 3:00the fundamental, meaning establishing
- 3:02prayer. As for the details, perhaps
- 3:03raising the hands, lowering the hands,
- 3:05these things—the early generations
- 3:06disagreed on them. Because God did not
- 3:08mention them, and they are among the
- 3:09traditions. But the fundamental, they
- 3:11did not disagree on it. So if there is
- 3:13a disagreement in the fundamental—
- 3:15meaning the fundamental of Eid al-Adha
- 3:17—it is because Eid al-Adha is not
- 3:19from God, but rather it is from the
- 3:21Prophet's actions. And this is what we
- 3:23will clarify. Scholars have disagreed
- 3:26on the ruling of the Eid al-Adha
- 3:29sacrifice in two opinions. The first,
- 3:33held by the majority, says it is a
- 3:36confirmed tradition. The majority cited
- 3:40the Prophet, peace be upon him, who
- 3:43said: "If you see the new moon of Dhu
- 3:46al-Hijjah and one of you wants to
- 3:48sacrifice, let him refrain from his
- 3:51hair and nails." And that the Prophet
- 3:54sacrificed on behalf of his nation. And
- 3:57his statement: "Three things are duties
- 4:01for me and voluntary for you: the
- 4:04sacrifice, the Witr prayer, and the
- 4:08Dhuha prayer." They also cited what is
- 4:12authentic from Abu Bakr and Umar, may
- 4:15God have mercy on them, that they used
- 4:18to not sacrifice. Why? For fear that it
- 4:21might be thought that the sacrifice was
- 4:24mandatory. Meaning, Umar and Abu Bakr
- 4:28did not sacrifice so that people would
- 4:30not think it was a mandatory act. But
- 4:34today the opposite has happened; we all
- 4:38now think that the sacrifice is
- 4:41mandatory. This is what the majority
- 4:43came up with, calling it a confirmed
- 4:45Sunnah. I will not call it a confirmed
- 4:48Sunnah or anything else; it is just a
- 4:50Sunnah. Because if we call it confirmed
- 4:53, people think it is mandatory to do
- 4:56because the Prophet did it. And this, I
- 4:59personally consider it a form of
- 5:01idolatry (shirk). Meaning, everything
- 5:04proven about the Prophet becomes
- 5:06mandatory, and everything not proven
- 5:08becomes forbidden. If I do that, I have
- 5:11made the Prophet a lord other than God.
- 5:15Because God Almighty told us: if I have
- 5:18not told you this is forbidden, do not
- 5:21forbid it. If I order you to do
- 5:23something, do it, and if you do not do
- 5:26it, there is sin in that. If I forbid
- 5:29you from something, refrain from it,
- 5:32and if you do not, you are sinful; this
- 5:35is God Almighty. So if God has not
- 5:38forbidden something for us, and has not
- 5:41ordered us to do something, we do not
- 5:43do it. Then how have we made everything
- 5:46not proven about the Prophet forbidden?
- 5:49And everything proven about him a
- 5:51confirmed Sunnah? No, oh servants of
- 5:54God. What the Prophet added has no
- 5:56relation to the religion. But it
- 5:58relates to righteous deeds, for which
- 6:02he is rewarded. But are we rewarded for
- 6:05Eid al-Adha? We will clarify that when
- 6:08we start with the Book of God Almighty.
- 6:12The second opinion is that the
- 6:14sacrifice is mandatory. Who said that?
- 6:18God Almighty did not say it. No,
- 6:20Al-Awza'i, Al-Layth, the school of Abu
- 6:23Hanifa, and one of the two narrations
- 6:26from Ahmad said it. Whoever worships
- 6:30God, he worships God. And whoever
- 6:32worships these men, he will make it
- 6:35mandatory. Everyone has the choice to
- 6:37decide who their Lord is, and who
- 6:39legislates their religion for them.
- 6:42Among the evidence of those who say the
- 6:44sacrifice is mandatory—meaning
- 6:45Al-Awza'i and Al-Layth—is what the
- 6:47Prophet, peace be upon him, said. He
- 6:49said: "Whoever has the means and does
- 6:52not sacrifice, let him not approach our
- 6:54place of prayer." Meaning, this
- 6:57narration is what they relied upon to
- 7:00say that the sacrifice is mandatory. So
- 7:05they made the Prophet's saying a
- 7:06religious legislation. Meaning, what
- 7:10the Prophet says is a book. So there
- 7:12became a book. The book of God and the
- 7:15book of the Prophet. By God, tomorrow
- 7:18we will be asked about these things. "
- 7:21Or do they have partners who have
- 7:23legislated for them a religion that God
- 7:26has not permitted?" And He did not say
- 7:28"who established a good Sunnah for them
- 7:30"—no. Because the Sunnah relates to
- 7:33righteous deeds. Here, God is speaking
- 7:35about religion. So if one of them
- 7:37imposes something through a prophetic
- 7:40hadith, this indicates he has claimed
- 7:43the Prophet is a partner to God. And he
- 7:46legislates religion alongside God
- 7:47Almighty. And God says: "Or do they
- 7:50have partners who have legislated for
- 7:52them a religion that God has not
- 7:53permitted?" Not "that God and His
- 7:55Messenger have permitted." And He, the
- 7:58Almighty, said: "Indeed, the pure
- 8:01religion is for God alone, He has no
- 8:04partner." And they added another saying
- 8:07of the Prophet while he was standing at
- 8:10Arafat; he said, peace be upon him: "Oh
- 8:12people, upon the family of every house
- 8:15is a sacrifice and an 'atirah (a
- 8:17sacrificial slaughter)." But Al-Hafiz,
- 8:20in the book*Al-Fath*, said there is no
- 8:22argument in it. Meaning, this hadith
- 8:24does not indicate the obligation of the
- 8:26sacrifice. Why did he say there is no
- 8:28argument in it? Because the wording is
- 8:31not explicit in absolute obligation.
- 8:33And he mentioned what the' atirah is,
- 8:35and it is not mandatory. So if the '
- 8:37atirah is not mandatory, then the
- 8:39sacrifice is also not mandatory, even
- 8:41according to those who claim it is. The
- 8:43Hafiz alerted them to these matters. If
- 8:46these individuals were scholars and
- 8:48jurists, why did they not notice these
- 8:50things until the Hafiz came and pointed
- 8:52them out? If the majority said it is a
- 8:55confirmed Sunnah, were they not aware
- 8:58of these narrations used by those who
- 9:00made the sacrifice mandatory for the
- 9:03people? By God, tomorrow we will be
- 9:06held accountable for these things. We
- 9:09will move to the Eid prayer, and what
- 9:12our ancestors said about it. Scholars
- 9:14differed on the ruling of the Eid
- 9:17prayer into three opinions. The first
- 9:20opinion is that it is a confirmed
- 9:22Sunnah, which is the school of Imams
- 9:24Malik and Shafi'i. The second opinion
- 9:27is that the ruling of the Eid prayer is
- 9:29a communal obligation (fard kifaya),
- 9:31which is the school of Imam Ahmad ibn
- 9:33Hanbal. The third opinion is that it is
- 9:36mandatory for every Muslim, meaning it
- 9:38is required of every man, and one sins
- 9:40if they leave it without an excuse.
- 9:43Meaning it is a mandatory prayer, which
- 9:46is the school of Imam Abu Hanifa and
- 9:49one narration from Imam Ahmad. I swear,
- 9:52the believer is the one who takes God
- 9:55as their Lord. The Almighty is the One
- 9:57who prescribes and imposes things upon
- 9:59them. Not people who just gave their
- 10:01opinions like this. So I say: whoever
- 10:04worships God, then God is the One who
- 10:06legislated our religion for us. And
- 10:09whoever worships humans, those humans
- 10:12will disown them tomorrow. These people
- 10:15. Sir, jurists gave their own opinions,
- 10:18and they have no evidence from the
- 10:20Quran. Even when they spoke about the
- 10:23sacrifice, they did not bring any
- 10:25evidence from the Quran—there are
- 10:28contradictory narrations—and here too
- 10:30, they did not bring any evidence from
- 10:33the Quran, even though I must point out
- 10:36something: for the Eid prayer, a woman,
- 10:39even if she is menstruating, must go to
- 10:41the prayer ground, but she does not
- 10:44perform the prayer, while on Friday it
- 10:47is forbidden. They prevented her from
- 10:49going to perform the prayer. Claiming
- 10:51that she is a temptation to men. So,
- 10:54for the Eid prayer, which is......a
- 10:56Sunnah, she is not a temptation to men,
- 10:59but for the prayer that God Almighty
- 11:01commanded, she is a temptation to men?
- 11:03By God, we must believe that tomorrow
- 11:06we will stand before God and will be
- 11:08asked about every small and large thing
- 11:11related to religion, and you will see
- 11:14every nation kneeling. Every nation
- 11:16will be called to its record. "And this
- 11:19is My path, which is straight, so
- 11:21follow it.""And do not follow other
- 11:23ways, for they will divert you from His
- 11:25way." These are the ways: what Imam
- 11:28Ahmad, Hanifa, Shafi'i, Al-Awza'i, and
- 11:31Al-Layth said. These things, by God,
- 11:33are ways that have distanced us from
- 11:35the path of God Almighty. And they
- 11:37spoke about the permissibility of
- 11:39making up the Eid prayer. They said it
- 11:41is permissible to make up the Eid
- 11:43prayer for whoever missed it, whenever
- 11:44they wish for the rest of the day, or
- 11:46the next day and beyond. If there is a
- 11:48way to make up the prayer, this is
- 11:50evidence that it is mandatory. Do you
- 11:53know? God Almighty will ask us tomorrow
- 11:55about our intent, not just our action.
- 11:58About our intent, meaning what is the
- 12:00reality of the action we performed. For
- 12:02there are people who perform good deeds
- 12:04but invalidate them. What is it that
- 12:07invalidates them? Their intent. Many
- 12:09people fast on Mondays and Thursdays.
- 12:11This is a good deed, a righteous deed.
- 12:14But their intent, what do they seek
- 12:16from that? It is what was attributed to
- 12:20the Prophet, peace be upon him, that
- 12:22deeds are raised on Monday and Thursday
- 12:25. Here, that reward is invalidated; why
- 12:28? Because God did not say that deeds
- 12:30are raised on Monday and Thursday. This
- 12:33is a prophetic Hadith. And the Prophet
- 12:35could not say these things. Because God
- 12:37knows that deeds are not raised every
- 12:39day, every week, or every month. They
- 12:42are not raised. So when I fast on
- 12:45Monday and Thursday, the goal of this
- 12:48fasting—that when God raises my deeds
- 12:51and finds me fasting—is what
- 12:53invalidates that reward. That is why I
- 12:57said many good deeds are invalidated by
- 13:00our own efforts. I mean, why did we do
- 13:03them? Why? Because we introduce things
- 13:05for which God has not sent down any
- 13:06authority. And this is considered shirk
- 13:07(associating partners with God). And
- 13:08this shirk is what invalidates these
- 13:10good deeds. Therefore. When we want to
- 13:13perform a good deed, we should not go.
- 13:15We shouldn't go and look for why the
- 13:17Prophet said it. Why not? We must do it
- 13:20directly for the sake of. God directly.
- 13:22That is why if I want to fast on Monday
- 13:26and Thursday, I say I chose Monday and
- 13:29Thursday and I fast for God Almighty
- 13:32without the reason for my fasting being
- 13:35that deeds are raised on Monday and
- 13:38Thursday. Because deeds, as I said, are
- 13:41not raised every day, nor every week,
- 13:43nor every month. Deeds are raised as
- 13:46the Almighty said in His Book. And now
- 13:49we will go to what God Almighty said.
- 13:51Not about Eid al-Adha, because God did
- 13:53not mention. Eid al-Adha. Eid is a
- 13:55celebration. Eid is a celebration. Eid
- 13:58al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha is a celebration
- 14:01for a certain reason. Eid al-Fitr is
- 14:04the celebration of the end of the month
- 14:06of fasting. And Eid al-Adha is the
- 14:09celebration of the day that God blessed
- 14:13us with with herbivorous animals. And
- 14:17we will demonstrate this from the Quran
- 14:18. This is why we hold this celebration.
- 14:22A commemoration of what happened to
- 14:24Abraham, peace be upon him, with his
- 14:27son. A commemoration, just as we
- 14:30celebrate the Prophet's birthday. A
- 14:32commemoration of the day our Messenger
- 14:34was born. A celebration that has
- 14:37nothing to do with religion. We call
- 14:40them religious holidays, but they have
- 14:42nothing to do with religion. God is
- 14:45innocent of these things. Days of joy
- 14:47and happiness, and days that a person
- 14:51uses to help the poor and needy. And we
- 14:56will demonstrate all of this from the
- 14:57Book of God. We will show what God said
- 15:00about the sacrifice, not about Eid
- 15:04al-Adha. Because God mentioned the
- 15:06sacrifice in His Book. And we will see
- 15:08what God Almighty said about the
- 15:10sacrifice, and not about Eid al-Adha,
- 15:13for God. God Almighty said in Surat
- 15:15al-Hajj: "And for every.""nation We
- 15:18have appointed a ritual, that they may
- 15:21mention the name of God over what He
- 15:24has provided for them of the cattle.
- 15:28For your God is one God, so submit to
- 15:30Him." I mean, God Almighty did not
- 15:33legislate this sacrifice only for the
- 15:36nation of the Quran. No, He legislated
- 15:39it also for the nation of the Torah and
- 15:41the nation of the Gospel. And they also
- 15:44celebrate it. Likewise, we celebrate it
- 15:48. Why? Because our Messenger celebrated
- 15:51it, he celebrated it. But God did not
- 15:53command us to celebrate it. No, He
- 15:56commanded us to thank Him for His
- 15:59blessing. What is it? That He provided
- 16:03us with animals that we slaughter. Not
- 16:06for self-defense, and not to fight
- 16:08corruption on earth. But to eat their
- 16:11meat and benefit from them. That is why
- 16:14God is the one who harnessed them for
- 16:16us. That is why He, the Almighty, said
- 16:18to us when you slaughter them, mention
- 16:21the name of God over them. I mean, we
- 16:23slaughter them, we kill them with
- 16:25permission from God. He is the one who
- 16:28permitted it for us. That is why He
- 16:29called them "Al-An'am"(cattle). The
- 16:31word "Na'amah" means a blessing from
- 16:34God Almighty. Where is this ritual that
- 16:37was appointed for all nations? Not in
- 16:41every world, no, in Hajj. So, upon whom
- 16:47is Hajj mandatory? It is mandatory for
- 16:51the pilgrim, not the entire world. The
- 16:55sacrifice is mandatory for one
- 16:59performing the Hajj rituals. Because
- 17:04the sacrifice is a rite among the Hajj
- 17:07rites. That is why when a person cannot
- 17:11provide this sacrifice, a ransom is set
- 17:13for them. Did God set a ransom for
- 17:16those who slaughter during Eid al-Adha?
- 17:19No, O servants of God. But for the
- 17:21pilgrim, they must provide a ransom.
- 17:25That is why the Almighty said in Surat
- 17:27Al-Baqarah: "And complete the Hajj and
- 17:30Umrah for Allah.""But if you are
- 17:33prevented, then what is available of
- 17:34the sacrificial animals.""And do not
- 17:36shave your heads until the sacrificial
- 17:37animal reaches its place of slaughter."
- 17:39"And whoever among you is ill or has an
- 17:41ailment of the head, then a ransom of
- 17:43fasting or charity or sacrifice.""So if
- 17:46you are safe, then whoever performs
- 17:48Umrah followed by Hajj, then what is
- 17:50available of the sacrificial offering."
- 17:53"And whoever cannot find the offering,
- 17:55then a fast of three days during Hajj."
- 17:58And not at his home, because it is
- 18:01speaking about Hajj. So a fast of three
- 18:05days during Hajj and seven when you
- 18:07return. Ten full days for those who
- 18:10return home, because they were on Hajj.
- 18:14God the Almighty made the sacrifice
- 18:18mandatory for the pilgrim, not for all
- 18:22the worlds. That is why God provided a
- 18:27ransom when the pilgrim cannot
- 18:30slaughter that sacrifice for some
- 18:33reason. Therefore, God made the ransom
- 18:36a fast of three days during Hajj and
- 18:38seven when you return. But if a person
- 18:40resides in Mecca, they will fast all
- 18:43ten days in Mecca. To ransom the
- 18:46sacrifice they did not perform. That is
- 18:50why the Almighty always speaks about
- 18:53the sacrifice. He said in Surat Al-Hajj
- 18:55: "And the camels-We have appointed
- 18:57them for you as among the symbols of
- 18:59Allah." Here it speaks about the
- 19:01livestock. But the body of the
- 19:02livestock from which we eat. Not the
- 19:05livestock itself, but the body of the
- 19:07livestock, meaning the meat, bone, and
- 19:09these things. So the Almighty said: "
- 19:11And the camels-We have appointed them
- 19:13for you as among the symbols of Allah
- 19:15in Hajj; for you therein is good.""So
- 19:17mention the name of Allah upon them
- 19:18when they are lined up." Meaning that a
- 19:22person should line them up. Because
- 19:24during Hajj, there are many sheep,
- 19:27camels, and such things. It is
- 19:29impossible to take each sheep and say "
- 19:31In the name of Allah." No, you place
- 19:33them in a single line. And when you
- 19:36begin the slaughter, you say "In the
- 19:38name of Allah" the first time, then you
- 19:41slaughter. It is not that every time
- 19:43one wants to slaughter a sheep from
- 19:45this line they must say "In the name of
- 19:48Allah," no. That is why God the
- 19:50Almighty said: "So mention the name of
- 19:52Allah upon them when they are lined up.
- 19:53" Just as when we eat food, we do not
- 19:56have to say "In the name of Allah" with
- 19:57every bite. We say "In the name of
- 19:59Allah" at the beginning of the meal.
- 20:00Likewise, one places the camels and
- 20:02sheep in a line, then says "In the name
- 20:04of Allah," then begins the slaughter.
- 20:06That is why God the Almighty said "So
- 20:08mention the name of Allah upon them
- 20:09when they are lined up.""Standing in
- 20:11rows, and when they fall on their sides
- 20:14—meaning they have died—then eat
- 20:17from them and feed the needy (al-qani')
- 20:20, and the needy is the person who
- 20:23slaughters and skins the sacrifice for
- 20:26others and handles all those tasks. So,
- 20:29God said to feed the needy and the '
- 20:32mu'tarr,' who is the one struck by
- 20:35distress, meaning harm or adversity—
- 20:38either physical injury or a lack of
- 20:40money to buy an offering. But he will
- 20:44see people eating in front of him, so
- 20:47they must feed him because he was
- 20:49unable to slaughter the offering,
- 20:52meaning the sacrifice. This is what God
- 20:55said; the sacrifice is mandatory for
- 20:58the pilgrim, while we celebrate the
- 21:01anniversary that God Almighty told us
- 21:04about in the Quran regarding Abraham
- 21:07and his son, which was the reason God
- 21:10provided livestock for humanity.
- 21:13Therefore, God commanded us to mention
- 21:16God's name over them and also to thank
- 21:19God for the blessings He has bestowed
- 21:22upon us." That is why the Prophet
- 21:24slaughtered at his home to thank God
- 21:27for this blessing. That is true, but
- 21:30the reward does not lie in the
- 21:32slaughter itself. The reward lies in
- 21:37bringing joy to those in need. When one
- 21:42gives charity from that meat, this is a
- 21:45charity for which one is rewarded. But
- 21:47this anniversary is an occasion to
- 21:50thank God for what He has provided us
- 21:53of livestock. That is why the Prophet,
- 21:56out of gratitude to God, performed a
- 21:58two-rak'ah prayer. Whether it is Eid
- 22:02al-Fitr to glorify God for guiding us,
- 22:05or Eid al-Adha to thank God for what He
- 22:09has blessed us with. Because the
- 22:12Prophet, peace be upon him, was wise,
- 22:15and God was by his side, guiding him
- 22:18regarding certain things. He would
- 22:21perform them and know why he was
- 22:23performing them. But we have passed
- 22:26things on with exaggeration, and we
- 22:29made what the Prophet did voluntarily a
- 22:33religion from God. So, there are those
- 22:36who say it is a confirmed Sunnah or an
- 22:39obligation; but, O servants of God,
- 22:41celebrating holidays has nothing to do
- 22:44with religion, and no one is rewarded
- 22:46for it. It is a commemoration we
- 22:49rejoice in, and since it has no
- 22:51connection to faith and these matters.
- 22:54That is why the Prophet performed two
- 22:56rak'ahs on Eid al-Fitr. To glorify God
- 22:59for our guidance. Because the month of
- 23:01Ramadan is when God revealed guidance.
- 23:03And likewise for us. We call it Eid
- 23:06al-Adha because on this day God blessed
- 23:08us with livestock, meaning herbivorous
- 23:11animals for us to eat, and this is a
- 23:14celebration. The reward is not in the
- 23:16holiday itself, but the reward is in
- 23:19what we do during this holiday—
- 23:21meaning bringing joy and happiness to
- 23:24people, giving charity to people, and
- 23:27when we perform prayer, we thank God
- 23:29for this blessing. We have a reward
- 23:32because God Almighty said, "If you are
- 23:35grateful, I will increase you." The
- 23:37Prophet knew these things. So know, sir
- 23:40, that if I do not sacrifice, there is
- 23:43no sin upon me, but if I do not
- 23:45sacrifice and think there is a sin upon
- 23:48me, then I would be committing a sin.
- 23:50Why? Because I made the celebration of
- 23:54Eid al-Adha and the sacrifice a part of
- 23:56God's religion, even though God
- 23:58mandated the sacrifice offering for the
- 24:01pilgrim and not for all people. So, O
- 24:04servants of God, we must verify things.
- 24:07And put dots on the i's. Because we
- 24:09will be held accountable for these
- 24:11things. And this Book leaves nothing
- 24:14small or large without recording it.
- 24:17And many people underestimate certain
- 24:19things. While they are great in the
- 24:21sight of God. Because every sin is
- 24:23great in the sight of God. And leads
- 24:26its doer to dire consequences. And God
- 24:29is the All-Wise, the All-Knowing. And
- 24:31peace be upon you, and the mercy of God
- 24:33and His blessings.
