- 0:05video is for you cuz I'm going to show you five Korean home remedies for glowing skin
- 0:09I've selected ones that really worked and don't worry you won't need any crazy equipment for this
- 0:14also a lot of you guys were asking questions about DIY products so in this video I'll be
- 0:18explaining in detail about the recipe usage storage and other things you're curious about
- 0:24so make sure to watch Until the End disclaimer before using this make sure to wash your face
- 0:30first we're going to make a cucumber mask I feel like rice is really popular but cucumber also has
- 0:35been like an OG ingredient for skincare in Korea for decades when the skin needs soothing almost
- 0:41every Korean household used to place cucumber slices on their face you only need a cucumber
- 0:46and aloe gel start by washing half a cucumber then grate it or slice it very thinly apply a
- 0:52thin layer of aloe gel so that cucumber slices don't slide off your face and place cucumber
- 0:56slices carefully on your skin lie down and relax for for about 10 to 15 minutes cucumbers is packed
- 1:02with water and vitamins making it really good for soothing and hydrating once you're finished
- 1:07simply remove the cucumber and continue with your regular skincare routine next is a mask using our
- 1:12star ingredient rice this is actually ancient old Korean beauty remedy cuz there's historical record
- 1:18saying hot girls from chosen Dynasty used rice to wash their face and even as a lotion for this
- 1:24recipe you only need honey and rice put half a cup of rice in a bowl and some of you guys
- 1:29were asking if if you can use different types of rice and yes you can use any types of rice
- 1:33and wash the rice for about three times also if you don't feel like impurities are removed well
- 1:38you can rinse it a few times more now we're going to cook the rice so add one cup of water and cook
- 1:43it until you see this mushy consistency take it off the heat and let it cool now we're going to
- 1:48put it in a blender add 2 tbsp of water and 1 tbsp of honey and blend now we're done making rice mask
- 1:55this is one of my favorites as rice is known to be really effective for improving skin tone
- 2:00brightening and keeping skin soft and moisturized quick tip here if you leave them on for too long
- 2:05it can actually dry out your skin so it's better to use it for just 10 to 15 minutes and then
- 2:10rinse it off gently with lar water and you can continue with your skincare and don't forget to
- 2:15put moisturizer after that also face mask can be irritating if you use it too often so using one
- 2:20or two times a week is enough I made a little bit too much today but it's best to make just
- 2:25enough amount for a single use rather than storing leftovers our final recipe in this chapter is the
- 2:32yogurt almond mask we're going to grind almonds first take half a cup of yogurt 2 tbsp of almond
- 2:39powder and 1 and 1/2 tbspoon of aloe gel for extra moisture and soothing effect yogurt and almond
- 2:47both have antibacterial effects which can help prevent harmful bacteria growth on the skin plus
- 2:52they offer a light exfoliating effect moving on to our next chapter is DIY toners and we're going to
- 3:00use rice again this time the method is simple as I showed you many times in previous videos wash
- 3:05the rice thoroughly preferably 3 to four times and on the last time gently agitate the rice leave it
- 3:11on the room temperature for about 30 minutes and use the strainer to only get water out of it and
- 3:17there we have it the rice toner you can use it to rinse your face but you can also use it as a
- 3:22toner actually fermented rice is known to have more nutrients and benefits than noner fermented
- 3:30ones but personally I don't really enjoy the smell of fermented rice so I don't use it that way but
- 3:35the method is the same just leave the rice water at room temperature for over 24 hours and it'll
- 3:40start to ferment slowly moving on to our final DIY is a green tea toner this is another super
- 3:46old DIYs as it's also known to be really good for acne prone and sensitive skin it's super simple
- 3:51bring water to the boil add water on a cup with green tea bag let it Brew for 5 to 10 minutes and
- 3:57be careful to not do it for long as the acidity my increase it's full of powerful antioxidants
- 4:02and has a soothing effect on your skin as well now let it cool and once it's lukew pour into a m
- 4:08bottle now you can add a little bit of aloe vera gel and this is optional another quick tip here
- 4:14when you use DIY toners make sure to store them in the fridge and I try to use it quickly cuz it
- 4:19doesn't have preservatives in it so store it for about 5 days max now how do you include this in
- 4:24your skincare routine you can use it as a toner in your skincare routine or as a Mist basically
- 4:29if you use it like a toner you can use it whenever you feel like your skin needs it before finishing
- 4:35off some of you guys were asking which skin type these remedies are good for actually skin type
- 4:39doesn't really matter but you may be allergic to certain ingredients so it's always good to
- 4:43do a patch test before applying on your face to do this leave a small amount of the product
- 4:48on your forearm leave the product on for 1 to 2 hours and see if any reaction occurs if there's
- 4:54no reactions the product is likely safe to use it on your face and if your skin is very sensitive
- 4:59and it gets irritated right after using it you should avoid those ingredients and thank you
