3. 0:07Hello, my friends. I am Zad. Today is
4. 0:10the explanation of Surah Al-Falaq.
5. 0:11Surah Al-Falaq is a Meccan surah. It
6. 0:14consists of five verses. Among its
7. 0:16virtues is that we seek refuge in Allah
8. 0:18from the evil of what He created. And
9. 0:19from the evil of the night when it
10. 0:20grows dark. It protects the Muslim, by
11. 0:22Allah's permission, from every evil.
12. 0:25Whoever recites it morning and evening,
13. 0:27Allah protects them from all evil. And
14. 0:29now, let us learn together what the
15. 0:32verses say. "Say: I seek refuge in the
16. 0:39Lord of the daybreak." Meaning, I seek
17. 0:41protection from the Lord of the morning
18. 0:43and the light. "From the evil of that
19. 0:45which He created." Meaning, we seek
20. 0:48refuge in Allah from the evil of
21. 0:50anything that could harm us. "And from
22. 0:58the evil of darkness as it settles."
23. 1:00From the evil of the night when its
24. 1:02darkness intensifies. "
25. 1:07And from the evil of the blowers in
26. 1:10knots," meaning we seek refuge in Allah
27. 1:12from the evil of sorcery, "and from the
28. 1:15evil of an envier when he envies,"
29. 1:17meaning we seek refuge in Allah from
30. 1:20the evil of envy and wish goodness for
31. 1:22everyone. Surah Al-Falaq teaches us to
32. 1:26rely on Allah and seek His protection.
