- 0:15Dear viewers, peace, mercy, and
- 0:17blessings of God be upon you. In this
- 0:20episode, we will talk about the
- 0:22offspring of the prophets and what they
- 0:23are. And what is the difference between
- 0:25the offspring (Dhurriyah) and the kin (
- 0:27Al). The offspring of Abraham and the
- 0:29kin of Abraham; we will clarify these
- 0:31things. We will also clarify who the
- 0:33first messenger was. And regarding the
- 0:35Middle East, especially the Arabian
- 0:38Peninsula, because it is not as some of
- 0:41us think, that all messengers were sent
- 0:44in the Middle East. This is a mistake.
- 0:47We have already clarified some of this
- 0:48in previous episodes. We will clarify
- 0:50the rest in this episode, always using
- 0:53the way God perfected the verses of the
- 0:56Book and the rules He, the Almighty,
- 0:59set so that we may be closer to the
- 1:02truth. As I showed in the previous two
- 1:12episodes when I began talking about
- 1:15Noah, peace be upon him, I showed that
- 1:17Noah lived at the North Pole, which is
- 1:20the place where the day lasts a year,
- 1:22meaning six months of night and six
- 1:25months of day. And I showed that after
- 1:28the flood, he settled on the European
- 1:30continent. We showed that Noah, peace
- 1:33be upon him, as I said, first lived at
- 1:36the North Pole. The people of Ad, their
- 1:38traces were found in Britain, and the
- 1:40people of Shu'ayb, their traces were
- 1:42found in Italy. As for the other
- 1:44nations, their traces have not been
- 1:46found yet, because God Almighty said to
- 1:49us: "Say, travel through the earth and
- 1:51observe how was the end of the deniers.
- 1:53" In this way, we can know where these
- 1:57messengers were sent. But after that
- 2:00came Abraham, peace be upon him. And
- 2:03Abraham was in the time of Lot, meaning
- 2:06Lot and Abraham lived at the same time.
- 2:09And we know that Lot lived after
- 2:11Shu'ayb, peace be upon him. So now we
- 2:14must clarify how the lineage of the
- 2:17prophets unfolded. And what is the
- 2:20difference between the offspring and
- 2:22the kin, through the examples that God
- 2:24Almighty has diversified in the Quran.
- 2:26For God said in Surah Al Imran: "Indeed
- 2:29, Allah chose Adam and Noah and the
- 2:32family of Abraham and the family of
- 2:34Imran over the worlds, offspring, some
- 2:37of it from others. And Allah is Hearing
- 2:40and Knowing." So here, as we see, God
- 2:43Almighty began by saying that He chose
- 2:46Adam. Here, God is not talking about
- 2:49the selection of messengers. No, here
- 2:52the Almighty is talking about the first
- 2:54time He created living beings. And from
- 2:57these living beings, there were also
- 3:00animals and everything, because God
- 3:02began creation at one time, the animal
- 3:04and all these things. And among these
- 3:07beings was a creature that was human
- 3:09but had no consciousness. That is why
- 3:12God said: "So when I have fashioned him
- 3:14and breathed into him of My spirit."
- 3:16The spirit (Ruh) is what gives us
- 3:18consciousness and knowledge, and makes
- 3:20us evolve, and it is what the animal
- 3:22does not have. It has no relation to
- 3:25death and life; the soul (Nafs) is what
- 3:27dies and lives, not the spirit. The
- 3:30spirit is related to consciousness.
- 3:32Therefore, when God fashioned him,
- 3:34meaning made him as we are now and
- 3:36breathed into him of His spirit, he
- 3:39became a human (Adamite), not just a
- 3:41mortal. Meaning a human Adamite, a
- 3:44human who has consciousness,
- 3:46comprehends things, and evolves. And it
- 3:48is what distinguishes us from animals.
- 3:52And that is why God the Almighty said:
- 3:53"And We have certainly honored the
- 3:54children of Adam." Where does this
- 3:56honor lie? In the consciousness that
- 3:59the Almighty gifted us. So here, when
- 4:01God said that God chose Adam, He meant
- 4:04He chose that creature from among the
- 4:06living beings and gifted him what? He
- 4:09gifted him consciousness. But from this
- 4:11human, whom God gifted with
- 4:13consciousness, meaning Adam, He began
- 4:16to choose messengers. Not to gift them
- 4:19consciousness, but to send them as
- 4:21messengers to the people. That is why
- 4:25He said that God chose Adam and Noah.
- 4:28Noah, He chose from among the sons of
- 4:31Adam to be a messenger. And he is the
- 4:34first messenger to be sent to humanity.
- 4:37That is why the Almighty said: He
- 4:39ordained for you of religion what He
- 4:41enjoined upon Noah. And not what He
- 4:44enjoined upon Adam or any other
- 4:46creation. Adam is not the name of a
- 4:48person, but rather the name of a type
- 4:50of living being that has consciousness.
- 4:52That is why God described us as sons of
- 4:54Adam, because we have consciousness. So
- 4:57Adam was neither a messenger nor
- 4:58anything else. The first messenger is
- 5:00Noah. And this is why God, the Almighty
- 5:02, stated it. If Adam were the name of a
- 5:04person and a messenger, God would have
- 5:05mentioned him in the Quran. That is why
- 5:07I said the Almighty said: He ordained
- 5:09for you of religion what He enjoined
- 5:10upon Noah and what We have revealed to
- 5:12you, [O Muhammad], and what We enjoined
- 5:14upon Abraham. Why? Because Noah brought
- 5:16the first tenet, which is Islam,
- 5:18meaning belief in God and the Last Day,
- 5:21which is a creed having no relation to
- 5:23actions. When Abraham came, God began
- 5:26to legislate the practical commands
- 5:28that we must perform. Among these
- 5:30commands are the establishment of
- 5:32prayer and the rites of Hajj. That is
- 5:35why Abraham was the first to establish
- 5:37prayer and perform the rites of Hajj.
- 5:40And that is why the Almighty said "the
- 5:42family of Abraham" and did not say "the
- 5:45descendants of Abraham." The difference
- 5:47between descendants and family is that
- 5:50descendants relate to lineage and
- 5:52ancestry. That is why we say in the
- 5:54Arabic language "to preserve his seed,"
- 5:57meaning his offspring, and we say "he
- 5:59sowed the seeds," meaning he spread
- 6:01them on the ground. Thus, descendants
- 6:04relate to lineage, while "family" does
- 6:06not necessarily mean lineage; it can
- 6:09include the people of that prophet or
- 6:11the people of that person. That is why
- 6:14we find the family of Pharaoh, the
- 6:16family of Lot, the family of Moses, and
- 6:18the family of Aaron, not their
- 6:20descendants. That is why He said "and
- 6:23Noah and the family of Abraham" in a
- 6:25general sense, and the family of Imran
- 6:28as well in a general sense, and we know
- 6:30there is the family of Jacob too. That
- 6:33is why the Almighty said in Surah
- 6:35Al-Hadid: "And We have already sent
- 6:37Noah," always Noah, and there is no
- 6:39Adam. Always Noah is the first
- 6:41messenger, "and Abraham, and We placed
- 6:44in their descendants prophethood." Here
- 6:46He said that Noah has descendants and
- 6:49Abraham has descendants, meaning
- 6:51Abraham is not from the descendants of
- 6:53Noah. That is why He said "and We
- 6:56placed in their descendants prophethood
- 6:58and the scripture." That is why the
- 7:00Almighty also said in Surah Maryam: "
- 7:03Those were the ones upon whom God
- 7:05bestowed favor from among the prophets
- 7:07of the descendants of Adam and from
- 7:10those We carried with Noah." Why?
- 7:12Because God chose Adam and Noah,
- 7:14meaning the prophets from the
- 7:16descendants of Adam must be from the
- 7:18sons of Adam, and from those We carried
- 7:21with Noah, meaning there are
- 7:22descendants who emerged from those who
- 7:25boarded the ship with Noah. From them,
- 7:28descendants emerged. Therefore, there
- 7:30are the descendants of Noah and the
- 7:32descendants of Abraham. Abraham is from
- 7:35the descendants of those who were saved
- 7:37with Noah from the flood. That is why
- 7:40He said: "And from the descendants of
- 7:42Abraham and Israel." Israel is not from
- 7:45the direct descendants of Abraham, and
- 7:47that is why God named the Jews the
- 7:49Children of Israel, not the Children of
- 7:52Abraham. That is why He said: "from the
- 7:54descendants of Abraham and Israel and
- 7:57from those We guided and chose." If the
- 8:00verses of the Most Merciful are recited
- 8:02to them, they fall down prostrating.
- 8:04Then the Almighty said in Surah Al-Isra
- 8:07: "And We gave Moses the Scripture and
- 8:09made it a guidance for the Children of
- 8:12Israel [saying], 'Do not take other
- 8:14than Me as Disposer of affairs, O
- 8:16descendants of those We carried with
- 8:19Noah.'" Indeed, he was a grateful
- 8:20servant. Moses is not from the
- 8:23descendants of Noah. But he is likewise
- 8:25from the descendants of those. God
- 8:27Almighty carried others with Noah. When
- 8:29Noah came, there was one lineage, but
- 8:32when some people believed in him,
- 8:34another lineage emerged from these
- 8:36people. Thus, the lineage branched out,
- 8:38and there became the lineage of Noah,
- 8:40the lineage of Abraham, and other
- 8:42lineages that came after. That is why
- 8:45the Almighty said: "Descendants of
- 8:47those whom We carried with Noah. Indeed
- 8:49, he was a grateful servant." Then the
- 8:51Almighty said in. Surah Al-Baqarah: "
- 8:54Say, 'We have believed in Allah and
- 8:56what was revealed to us and what was
- 8:58revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and
- 9:00Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants and
- 9:02what was given to Moses and Jesus.'" We
- 9:05know that the Descendants (the Tribes)
- 9:08were 12 in number. This is what God
- 9:10Almighty said in Surah Al-A'raf: "And
- 9:12We divided them into twelve descendant
- 9:14tribes [as] communities. And We
- 9:16inspired to Moses when his people
- 9:19implored him for water, 'Strike with
- 9:21your staff the stone,' and there gushed
- 9:23forth from it twelve springs. Every
- 9:26people knew its watering place."
- 9:28Meaning each tribe knew its source. So
- 9:30Moses is from one of these tribes, and
- 9:32Aaron is also from another tribe. Not
- 9:35the same tribe as Moses. That is why
- 9:39there existed the house of Moses and
- 9:42the house of Aaron. Therefore, whenever
- 9:45God Almighty speaks about Moses, He
- 9:47either says "your brother," or Moses
- 9:49speaks and says "my brother Aaron." But
- 9:52when Aaron speaks, he says "O son of my
- 9:55mother," not "my brother." These are
- 9:58signs that God has placed so we may
- 9:59know the truth of some. Things. And we
- 10:02know that Aaron is not a full brother
- 10:05to Moses. But perhaps they share the
- 10:08same father. It is most likely the same
- 10:10father. Or the same mother, but I have
- 10:13no evidence to be certain of these
- 10:15things. Thus, each one is from a tribe,
- 10:19because there were 12 tribes. Then the
- 10:22Almighty said in Surah An-Nisa: "Indeed
- 10:25, We have revealed to you, as We
- 10:27revealed to Noah and the prophets after
- 10:30him. And We revealed to Abraham,
- 10:33Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Descendants,
- 10:36Jesus, Job, Jonah, and Aaron." That is
- 10:39why Moses is not mentioned here. Here
- 10:40Aaron is mentioned, meaning another
- 10:43type of the tribes, and Solomon. And to
- 10:45David, We gave the Psalms. And thus the
- 10:48messengers followed in sequence,
- 10:49starting from Noah, peace be upon him,
- 10:51as one lineage. And those who believed
- 10:53with them, another lineage branched out
- 10:55from them. And we know that Lot is from
- 10:58the lineage of Noah. And Lot was from
- 11:01the people of Abraham. And this is what
- 11:05God Almighty said in Surah Al-Ankabut.
- 11:08He said: "And Lot believed him,"
- 11:10speaking about Abraham. "And said, '
- 11:12Indeed, I will emigrate to my Lord.
- 11:14Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the
- 11:17Wise.'" That is why Lot moved away from
- 11:19Abraham. And he was living with another
- 11:22people, not the people of Abraham. And
- 11:25here they parted ways when Lot believed
- 11:27in him. But God Almighty said in Surah
- 11:31Al-Anbiya: "And We saved him and Lot to
- 11:34the land which We had blessed for the
- 11:37worlds." He saved them both together to
- 11:40. To where? To the land which We had
- 11:43blessed for the worlds. What is it? The
- 11:46Sacred House. This is the land that God
- 11:49Almighty blessed for the worlds. That
- 11:51is why He said He saved them both
- 11:54together. I will speak about Abraham
- 11:56and I will not speak about Lot. Because
- 11:59I do not have any evidence of where Lot
- 12:01went. And is there a lineage for Lot? I
- 12:03have no evidence. Therefore, I will put
- 12:06Lot aside and speak about Abraham.
- 12:08Because God Almighty spoke about
- 12:11Abraham. For the Almighty said in Surah
- 12:14Ibrahim: "Our Lord, I have settled some
- 12:17of my descendants in an uncultivated
- 12:19valley near Your Sacred House." So when
- 12:22they said, "We saved him and Lot to the
- 12:25land which We have blessed for the
- 12:27worlds," here it speaks of the place to
- 12:30which God Almighty saved him. And that
- 12:32is His saying: "Our Lord, I have
- 12:35settled some of my descendants in a
- 12:37valley without cultivation, near Your
- 12:39Sacred House." What is the meaning of "
- 12:42a valley without cultivation"? To
- 12:44understand "a valley without
- 12:46cultivation," we must know the
- 12:47difference between "dhi" and "ulu.""Dhi
- 12:50al-qurba"(possessor of kinship) and "
- 12:51ulu al-qurba"(those of kinship). God
- 12:53Almighty said in Surah An-Nisa, "
- 12:55Worship God and associate nothing with
- 12:58Him, and to parents do good, and to
- 13:01relatives, orphans, the needy, the
- 13:04neighbor who is a relative, and the
- 13:06neighbor who is a stranger." But the
- 13:10Almighty said in Surah An-Nisa. "And
- 13:13when the division is attended by
- 13:15relatives, orphans, and the needy," and
- 13:17not "dhu al-qurba." What is the
- 13:19difference? God Almighty told us, "
- 13:21Indeed in that is a lesson for those of
- 13:23vision," and not "for possessors of
- 13:26vision," meaning those who see, because
- 13:28we do not have "absar"(true vision),
- 13:30but we have eyes with which we see; yet
- 13:32there are those who have eyes but do
- 13:35not see with them, and that is why He
- 13:37said, "And they have eyes, but do not
- 13:39see with them." So when He said "those
- 13:41of vision," He means those who have
- 13:44eyes and see with them; this is "those
- 13:46of vision," meaning those who truly see
- 13:48, those of intellect (ulu al-albab) who
- 13:50respond. It has nothing to do with
- 13:52those who have a mind, those who
- 13:53respond. That is why He said "ulu
- 13:55al-qurba," meaning those who are close
- 13:58to us, the uncle. The aunt, the niece;
- 14:00those who are close to us are our
- 14:02relatives, but "dhi qurba" means he has
- 14:05a kinship with you, and that is why God
- 14:07Almighty, when He spoke about orphans
- 14:10and the needy, said, "the neighbor who
- 14:12is a relative." Meaning this neighbor
- 14:14is known to you by proximity, and you
- 14:16have no relationship with him. Familial
- 14:18. So "dhi qurba" means he is close to
- 14:21you in some way, friendship, a place
- 14:24beside you, these things, whereas "ulu
- 14:27al-qurba" are those who are directly
- 14:29related to you, they are family members
- 14:32. Just as the Almighty said: "Is there
- 14:35in that an oath for the one of reason?"
- 14:37And not for those of reason. Because He
- 14:39is speaking about the pilgrims. And
- 14:41pilgrims during the time of Hajj are
- 14:43prohibited from what is lawful for them
- 14:45on other days for a certain period. And
- 14:47that is why we say: his wealth is
- 14:49restricted (hujira). Meaning he was
- 14:50prevented from his money for a certain
- 14:52period. That is why He said: "The one
- 14:54of restriction." Meaning it restricts
- 14:56them. "A Qur'an without any crookedness
- 14:59." Meaning a reading that cannot lead
- 15:02to distortion. Likewise, when the
- 15:04Almighty said: "I have settled some of
- 15:07my descendants in a valley without
- 15:10cultivation." Meaning this valley does
- 15:12not grow crops. Why does it not grow
- 15:14crops? Because in the Qur'an there is
- 15:16the valley and the river. The river is
- 15:19that which comes from beneath the earth
- 15:21. It is fresh water to drink. Because
- 15:23God causes rivers to gush forth, not
- 15:25valleys. Rivers gush from what? Meaning
- 15:27water comes out from beneath the earth.
- 15:30So the river is an indication of that
- 15:32place which has fresh water to drink.
- 15:34But the valley is an indication of that
- 15:37rectangular passage. That is why God
- 15:39said: "The Valley of the Ants." Why?
- 15:42Because ants walk in a rectangular line
- 15:45. So the valley is what follows this
- 15:48line. And water passes through it. And
- 15:50this water can be fresh water. And it
- 15:54can be salt water. And we know that we
- 15:58use fresh water to irrigate crops. But
- 16:02salt water cannot be used to irrigate
- 16:05crops. The crops will not grow. That is
- 16:08why God Almighty said: "Our Lord, I
- 16:11have settled some of my descendants in
- 16:13a valley without cultivation, near Your
- 16:16Sacred House." Meaning, what is it? It
- 16:19is the Red Sea. It is the Red Sea.
- 16:22Because the Red Sea is shaped like a
- 16:25rectangular valley. And it contains
- 16:28salty water. And this salty water
- 16:30cannot be used to irrigate crops. And
- 16:33this is what God Almighty has said.
- 16:35That is why our Lord said, "that they
- 16:37may establish prayer, so make hearts...
- 16:39""...of the people yearn toward them,
- 16:42and provide...""...for them from the
- 16:44fruits that they might be grateful."
- 16:47The first messenger to reach the Middle
- 16:50East, meaning the Arabian Peninsula,
- 16:53was Abraham. And Lot was with him. But
- 16:56I do not know what Lot did. What we are
- 16:59talking about is Abraham, because we
- 17:01have the evidence. And we cannot say
- 17:03things for which we have no evidence.
- 17:05Because that might make us say things
- 17:07that God Almighty did not say. And this
- 17:10carries a great sin. We do not say
- 17:12anything except what has evidence in
- 17:14the Quran. We may be wrong, or we may
- 17:16be right. But we rely on some evidence.
- 17:19God Almighty said in Surat Al-Hajj: "
- 17:21And when We designated for Abraham the
- 17:23site of the House, [saying], 'Do not
- 17:25associate anything with Me and purify
- 17:27My House for those who perform Tawaf
- 17:30and those who stand [in prayer] and
- 17:31those who bow and prostrate.'" So
- 17:33Abraham is the first messenger, as we
- 17:37said, to reach the Middle East. Meaning
- 17:40the Arabian Peninsula. And specifically
- 17:42Mecca. Why? To purify that House, and I
- 17:45have detailed this in my interpretation
- 17:48of Surat Quraysh, why? Because that
- 17:50place was a temple of Satan; people
- 17:53used to set up idols and these statues
- 17:56and these things, and people would come
- 18:00to that place to offer sacrifices to
- 18:03these idols and statues. That is why
- 18:06Abraham, peace be upon him, also began
- 18:09to think, why? Because he thought that
- 18:12God Almighty also accepted this type of
- 18:14sacrifice. So he thought of sacrificing
- 18:17to Him what was most dear to him, which
- 18:20was his son. And because he was
- 18:21thinking so much about these things, he
- 18:24saw that he should slaughter his son.
- 18:26But God ransomed him with a great
- 18:27sacrifice. What is this great sacrifice
- 18:29? It is that upon which we mention the
- 18:31name of God. And it is what we must
- 18:33thank God for when we go to Hajj. And
- 18:35it is to thank Him for the "Bahimat
- 18:37al-An'am"(grazing livestock). Why did
- 18:39God call them "An'am"(livestock/
- 18:40blessings)? Because He blessed us with
- 18:43them. We do not forbid killing except
- 18:45in two cases: when it is in
- 18:46self-defense or fighting corruption on
- 18:48earth. But here, He permitted us to
- 18:50slaughter these animals not for
- 18:52self-defense or fighting corruption on
- 18:54earth, but to eat their meat and
- 18:56benefit from them. That is why God
- 18:58called them "An'am" and did not call
- 19:00them "Dawab"(beasts), because He
- 19:02blessed us with them, meaning He is the
- 19:04one who permitted us to kill them. And
- 19:06He said "Bahimat al-An'am," not just "
- 19:08An'am," meaning those that no longer
- 19:10suckle from their mother's milk and
- 19:12have begun to graze on their own. That
- 19:14is why, as I said, the Prophet, peace
- 19:15be upon him, would specify for them the
- 19:17ages of the sacrificial animals. That
- 19:19they were required to offer. So that
- 19:21they would not sacrifice livestock that
- 19:22were still suckling from their mother's
- 19:24milk. That is why God said "and purify
- 19:26My House for those who perform Tawaf,"
- 19:28meaning...Meaning he removes the "
- 19:30Qawa'id"(bases/idols) from the House,
- 19:33and not that he raises the foundations
- 19:35of the House. If he were to raise the
- 19:37foundations of the House as some people
- 19:39say...It would have been better for God
- 19:42Almighty to say, "and raise the
- 19:44foundations of the Kaaba," not the
- 19:46House. Because the House is a wide
- 19:48place, and it is where things are made
- 19:50sacred, not just the Kaaba. But God
- 19:52said, "and remove the bases from the
- 19:55House." I remove the pen from the table
- 19:58, meaning I take it off the table. What
- 20:02are the "Qawa'id"? "Qawa'id" is the
- 20:04plural of "Qa'idah." And it is that
- 20:05upon which that idol or statue is set
- 20:08up. It is set upon a foundation to
- 20:10remain straight like this. So God said
- 20:13to him: "Raise the foundations of the
- 20:15House." This is the purification.
- 20:17Because God commanded him to purify it
- 20:19from what? From the filth of Satan; it
- 20:21is not about building the Kaaba or such
- 20:24things, but purifying the place where
- 20:26he sanctifies himself. This is what the
- 20:29Almighty said, and that is why in Surat
- 20:32Ibrahim, speaking of Abraham: "My Lord,
- 20:34make me an establisher of prayer." Why?
- 20:37Because he was the first messenger to
- 20:39establish prayer. As for the messengers
- 20:42before him, they did not know what the
- 20:45establishment of prayer was, nor the
- 20:47rites of Hajj, nor the lawful, nor the
- 20:50prohibited. Meaning they did not know
- 20:53any clause. "Do," or "Do not do." No,
- 20:57what they knew was that there is a God.
- 21:00And that there is an afterlife. And
- 21:02that we must believe in this God and in
- 21:05the Last Day. That is all they were
- 21:08required to believe in. That is why God
- 21:11distinguished between Noah and Abraham.
- 21:13He said: "He has ordained for you of
- 21:14religion what He enjoined upon Noah."
- 21:16He did not say "what We enjoined,"
- 21:17because it was a single clause, which
- 21:18is Islam. Then He said. "And what We
- 21:20have revealed to you," meaning our
- 21:21Messenger. And He said: "And what We
- 21:22enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and
- 21:24Jesus." He did not say "what He
- 21:26enjoined [upon Noah]," because He began
- 21:28to legislate religious clauses. That is
- 21:30why he said: "My Lord, make me an
- 21:31establisher of prayer, and from my
- 21:33descendants. Our Lord, and accept my
- 21:34supplication." So the Almighty said: "
- 21:37Indeed, I will make you a leader for
- 21:39the people." Not just to establish
- 21:42prayer, but you are the one who will be
- 21:45an imam for all people. Not Moses, not
- 21:49Jesus, and not Muhammad, peace be upon
- 21:52them—it is Abraham. That is why all
- 21:55the prophets followed the creed of
- 21:58Abraham. Including our Prophet, he too
- 22:02followed the creed of Abraham. "Then We
- 22:04revealed to you: Follow the creed of
- 22:07Abraham." What is it? To be a Muslim,
- 22:09inclining toward truth. Not associating
- 22:11partners with God. And to establish
- 22:13prayer. And to perform the rites of
- 22:15Hajj as Abraham, peace be upon him, did
- 22:18. That is why we were also commanded.
- 22:21To follow the creed—not the Sunnah,
- 22:24not the Sharia—the creed of Abraham,
- 22:27meaning the way he used to establish
- 22:30prayer, the way he used to perform the
- 22:33Hajj rites, and the way he believed,
- 22:35which is the monotheistic way; meaning
- 22:38he says "My Lord" only. That is why
- 22:41Abraham acknowledged that his Lord is
- 22:42the one who gives life and causes death
- 22:44. And He is the one who feeds him and
- 22:46gives him drink. And He is the one who,
- 22:47when he is ill, heals him. And He is
- 22:49the one he hopes will forgive his sin
- 22:51on the Day of Judgment. Not someone
- 22:54else, the One God. The Irresistible.
- 22:58That is why the Almighty said: "My Lord
- 23:00, make me an establisher of prayer."
- 23:03And that is why the Kaaba was the first
- 23:06Qibla for the worlds; the first Qibla,
- 23:08not Al-Aqsa Mosque. The mosque came
- 23:11later. But in the era of Abraham, the
- 23:13first Qibla was the Kaaba. That is why
- 23:16when God changed the Qibla that our
- 23:18Messenger was facing, which was Al-Aqsa
- 23:21Mosque. The Almighty said in Surat
- 23:23Al-Baqarah: "We have certainly seen the
- 23:25turning of your face toward the heaven.
- 23:26""So We will surely turn you to a Qibla
- 23:28with which you will be pleased.""So
- 23:29turn your face toward Al-Masjid
- 23:31Al-Haram.""And wherever you [believers]
- 23:33are, turn your faces toward it.""And
- 23:35indeed, those who have been given the
- 23:38Scripture know that it is the truth
- 23:40from their Lord." How do they know?
- 23:43Because God informed them about Abraham
- 23:45, and what He did with Abraham. All the
- 23:47verses we recited about the stories of
- 23:50the prophets and messengers, you will
- 23:52find them in the Torah the same way.
- 23:54Consistent, repeating. This is of the
- 23:57consistent ones. That is why all the
- 23:59messengers and prophets who came after
- 24:02Abraham, all of them. They established
- 24:04prayer and performed the rites of Hajj,
- 24:06for people would go to the Kaaba for
- 24:09pilgrimage after Abraham, peace be upon
- 24:11him. Everyone who believed in God and
- 24:14the Last Day, even before Moses and
- 24:16Jesus, would establish prayer.
- 24:18Establishing prayer and the Hajj
- 24:20rituals began with the coming of
- 24:22Abraham, peace be upon him; that is why
- 24:25the Almighty said in Surah Al-Baqarah:
- 24:27"Indeed, I will make you a leader for
- 24:30the people." He said, "And of my
- 24:32descendants?" He said, "My covenant
- 24:33does not include the wrongdoers." And
- 24:35as I said, for this reason, we follow
- 24:38the creed of Abraham. The first
- 24:40messenger whose feet trod upon the
- 24:43Middle East, or the Arabian Peninsula
- 24:46in particular, was Abraham, peace be
- 24:49upon him. From that time, messengers
- 24:52and prophets began to emerge in the
- 24:55Middle East. As for the time before
- 24:58Abraham and Lot came to the Middle East
- 25:01, all the messengers lived in the
- 25:04European continent or in the North Pole
- 25:07. That is why the messengers began to
- 25:10descend, descend, descend, until
- 25:13Abraham came to the Middle East. This
- 25:16is the sequence of the messengers; so
- 25:19we must be careful when we say that all
- 25:22messengers were sent to the Middle East
- 25:26. God the Almighty told us how we know
- 25:29where the messengers were sent. How? By
- 25:32the way in which He destroyed those who
- 25:35disbelieved in these messengers. The
- 25:38Almighty said: "Say, travel throughout
- 25:40the earth.""Then observe how was the
- 25:42end of the deniers." He did not tell us
- 25:44: "Read the books of your fathers" or "
- 25:47Listen to so-and-so." The Almighty told
- 25:49us to dig into the earth and search for
- 25:52the remains of these people. That is
- 25:54why the remains of the people of Aad
- 25:56were found in Britain, as well as the
- 25:58remains of the people of Shu'ayb, who
- 26:01were stuck to the earth and then became
- 26:03fallen in their homes. Meaning the
- 26:05people of Shu'ayb were stuck. And they
- 26:07will find the people of Lot in Europe.
- 26:09In some place, I do not know where.
- 26:11Likewise, they will find the people of
- 26:14Salih in Europe as well. And also the
- 26:17people of Abraham, whom he lived with
- 26:19before, they will find. Their remains
- 26:22in Europe, I do not know which country.
- 26:24I cannot be certain unless they find
- 26:27the remains of these people. We cannot
- 26:29say anything except what has evidence
- 26:32in the Quran. Because God the Almighty
- 26:34has forbidden us from telling things
- 26:37that He did not say. That is why, when
- 26:39God revealed the Quran, the Jews and
- 26:41Christians would bring news that had no
- 26:44basis in the Torah or the Gospel. So
- 26:46the Almighty said: "Do you inform God
- 26:48of what He does not know?" And when
- 26:50they would legislate a religion for
- 26:51which God had sent no authority, as is
- 26:53the case with many people today who
- 26:54legislate religions for which God has
- 26:55sent no authority. The Almighty said: "
- 26:57Would you acquaint God with your
- 26:59religion? And God knows whatever is in
- 27:01the heavens and whatever is on the
- 27:02earth." So we must verify this news
- 27:05that has begun to blow like the wind
- 27:07from every side. We must verify it
- 27:09because this is considered a
- 27:10fabrication against God. It is a lie
- 27:12when someone brings you news that has
- 27:14no basis in the Quran and no evidence.
- 27:16Even if one is wrong, the important
- 27:18thing is that there must be evidence
- 27:19from the Quran. So know that this is.
- 27:21It is a fabrication against God, and if
- 27:24anyone believes in it, they have made
- 27:26that person a peer to God, which is a
- 27:28grave matter in the sight of God. Who
- 27:31is more unjust than one who fabricates
- 27:33lies about God or rejects the truth
- 27:35when it comes to them? Is there not in
- 27:38Hell a dwelling for the disbelievers?
- 27:40Among them are the illiterate who know
- 27:43not the Scripture except through
- 27:45wishful thinking, and they are only
- 27:47guessing. So woe to those who write the
- 27:49Scripture with their own hands and then
- 27:52say, "This is from God." In the next
- 27:54episode, God willing, we will explain
- 27:57and talk about the State of Israel:
- 27:59will this tyranny, oppression, and
- 28:01arrogance of the State of Israel last
- 28:03forever, or is it transient? We will
- 28:06show these things with evidence from
- 28:08the Quran, for we do not know the
- 28:10unseen. But God Almighty is the One who
- 28:12informs us of the unseen. And we will
- 28:14bring evidence from the Quran.
- 28:16Regarding what will happen to the State
- 28:19of Israel, meaning the destiny of the
- 28:21State of Israel when it reaches this
- 28:23level of tyranny and oppression. This
- 28:26is what we will explain in the next
- 28:28episode, God willing. God is the
- 28:30All-Knowing, the Wise, the All-Aware.
- 28:32Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be
- 28:34upon you.
