48:33ang minimum curriculum sa dentistry ched
48:37technical panel board of optometry
48:41technical panel okay so sa ched
48:45technical panel in optometry. That's the
48:47correct word. Ched technical panel in
48:49optometry. What are the duties? They set
48:52the minimum standard for the study of
48:54optometry.
48:56So yung mga minimum curriculum.
48:58Pangalawa ito mabigat. They also set the
49:01standards for faculty members. Sila ang
49:05nagsabi that college
49:08professors should possess at least
49:10master's degree. They also monitor the
49:14program.
49:16Like kasi may mga ibang program na like
49:20not in optometry but in other
49:22professions. Halimbawa mababa pumapasa,
49:25konti pumapasa, ngayon yung
49:28accreditation ng eskwelahan na yon will
49:30be put on hold kumbaga para kang
49:32magiging probationary.
49:34So close monitoring ginagawa ng ched
49:37yon.
49:39So they evaluate periodically the
49:41performance of educational institutions.
49:44Now in so far as the ched technical
49:46panel in optometry is concerned
49:50who compose it?
49:55Practitioners,
49:56specialist academicians and
49:59representative from accredited national
50:04integrated organization for Optometry.
50:09So hindi na yan class presidential
50:12appointy yung nasa ched technical panel
50:15for optometry. Ang nag-a-appoint na lang
50:18sa kanila is the chairman of the
50:22ch
50:24eh ma'am may sweldo ba sila? Generally
50:28wala. Unlike yung PRC, PRB may sweldo
50:33for a term of 5 and 7 years. Ito for a
50:36term of 2 years gratis. Okay? Siguro
50:40pwede na kung meron silang allowance
50:42kung may budget ang CHED. Pero it's not
50:45really on record. Kumbaga hindi required
50:48na swelduhan sila. Kasi kung ikaw 'yun
50:51halimbawa part ka ng academan
50:55or faculty member of the school of
50:56optometry is it not 'yung 'yung
50:59altruistic feeling the honor lang of
51:02being part of the committee responsible
51:05for determining the minimum curriculum
51:08to be imposed upon all schools offering
51:11optometry ba it's an owner na so enough
51:14na daw na sweldo yon yung privilege to
51:19contribute to the improvement of the
51:22profession.

51:28course we also have the career
51:30progression and specialization program
51:33credit accumulation transfer system
51:36committee. This is part of the PRCPRB.

51:53development act. inify
51:57that
52:00each PRB should have their CPSP cuts
52:05committee. Ang purpose niyan is to
52:08ensure a validation mechanism for
52:13qualifications.
52:15So ang gusto natin yung mga ideally all
52:21your seminars, all your credit units is
52:24supposed to give you like um
52:29parang some sort of a rank in relation
52:33to PQF. Kumbaga pinagdugtong nila yang
52:37CPSP Cats Committee and PQF. Yung CPSP
52:41CATS committee under the CPD act tungkol
52:44lang yan sa continuing professional
52:47growth. Pero nung ikinabit na yan sa PQF
52:52or the Philippine qualifications
52:54framework, nagkaroon na ng level level
52:58level. So ito ang iyong qualification.
53:01Ito ang iyong na-achieve na. So ganitong
53:05level ka na.
53:07So CPSP CATS committee the CPD law plus
53:12the PQF determines the qualifications.
53:16Yung CPSP cuts committee class
53:20it's a committee within the board of
53:23optometry. Tas ang chairman yan one
53:26members of the board. Remember earlier I

53:34the
53:35chairman of the board can assign the
53:38members to functions or duties and
53:41responsibilities.

53:59will make the function of CPSP CATS
54:04committee is to prepare a career
54:08progression and specialization program
54:12based on the CPD credit units.
54:16So who are the members of CPSP CATS
54:19committee? 3 to seven members for a term
54:22of 3 years coming from Academ,
54:26IPA, other organizations, government
54:30representative, industry expert,
54:33independent practitioner, and
54:37representatives from specialty group.
54:41Now and the last is the PQF national
54:46coordinating council which is tasonize
54:52and promote a simplest education and
54:55training system. Kumbaga ang PQF
54:59um
55:03kinabit niya na, pinagdugtong-dugtong
55:05niya na kasi ganito klase ang sistema sa
55:07atin sa Pilipinas ' ba. Cheed technical

56:47Qualifications Framework National
56:49Coordinating Council
56:51came up with uh Philippine
56:55qualifications framework. Ano yung
56:58framework na iyon? It it is a national
57:02system for development recognition award
57:05of qualification. So actually naka-come
57:08up sila ng level 1 to level 8. Okay?
57:14Yung level 1 to level 8 na yon nagsimula
57:18yan class sa ah high school graduate
57:23level 1. Tapos yung 2 3 4 if I'm not
57:28mistaken ah yan yung mga TESDAda. NC1,
57:33NC2, NC3
57:35tapos level four or five, college
57:39graduate, tapos professional
57:42examination,
57:43licens examination, tapos postgraduate
57:46training training hanggang doun sa level
57:498. Ang purpose nito class is to align
57:54with the qualifications internationally
57:56or globally. So actually ang purpose
58:00niyan para sa trabaho sa ibang bansa.
58:02Para yung halimbawa nurse sa ibang bansa
58:06graduate natin. It will be easy for
58:09other countries to hire them simply
58:12basing on the Philippine qualification
58:15framework.
58:18So ang tanong ma'am may katuturan ba yan
58:21sa mga optometries?
58:23Not much right because we all know that
58:27in so far as our profession is concerned
58:30the moment that you are license
58:32optometries in the Philippines pwede ng
58:34lumipad. Meaning it will be easy for us
58:37to find jobs especially in Middle East
58:41pero but not in other countries right
58:45like halimbawa countries like US,
58:49Canada, Australia hindi. So pag maaayos
58:53natin, mapupulido natin yang PQF, pwede
58:56nating i-parallel yan doun sa
58:59requirements ng US, Canada and other
59:02Western countries

59:07unfortunate to hear migration of
59:10workers.
59:12Kaya nagkaroon ng PQF actually for
59:14migration of workers. Pero kung dito
59:16lang naman locally, ang kailangan lang
59:19naman natin eh PRC board exam tapos na.

59:26concerned, ah
59:29I think 10 to 20% of our GPG gross
59:33domestic product is coming from
59:36remittances by OFW. Kaya importante sa
