- 0:00Hello, everyone. It is so nice to see
- 0:03you again. It’s Sion. Today is the
- 0:08weekend, and the weather outside is
- 0:10wonderful. The sky is clear, and the
- 0:13sunlight is warm. On a day like this, I
- 0:17think it’s truly happy to just relax
- 0:19at home instead of going anywhere. Do
- 0:23you think so too? Please sit in your
- 0:28most comfortable spot and spend this
- 0:30time with me. Today, I’m going to
- 0:34talk about the weekends and rest that I
- 0:37really love. As always, I won't be
- 0:41using many difficult words or
- 0:43expressions today. To help you
- 0:46understand my Korean easily, I will
- 0:49speak very slowly using only simple
- 0:52words. Are you ready? Shall we begin?
- 0:57During the week, I have to wake up
- 1:00early, so I’m always a bit tired.
- 1:03That’s why weekend mornings are such
- 1:06a precious time for me. I never set an
- 1:09alarm on Saturdays or Sundays. I really
- 1:15love sleeping soundly in bed until my
- 1:17eyes open on their own. When I open my
- 1:22eyes, my cat, Nabi, tiptoes onto the
- 1:25bed. The time I spend lounging in bed
- 1:31while petting Nabi is the happiest
- 1:33moment of my weekend. My weekend
- 1:37breakfast menu is usually very simple.
- 1:41I toast some savory bread and drink
- 1:44coffee. Many Koreans drink iced coffee,
- 1:48but I prefer warm coffee. After having
- 1:52a delicious breakfast, I listen to my
- 1:55favorite music. I’m busy with classes
- 2:00during the week, but I love being able
- 2:02to spend time entirely for myself on
- 2:05weekends. On afternoons when the
- 2:09sunlight comes in warmly, I often
- 2:11listen to calm and quiet music. While
- 2:16listening to music, I lightly tidy up
- 2:18or clean the living room. Once the
- 2:22house is clean, I sometimes sit in
- 2:24front of the piano to play. It’s not
- 2:29a performance for anyone else; I just
- 2:31play because I enjoy it. So, the time I
- 2:36spend playing piano on the weekend is
- 2:38really precious and makes me feel good.
- 2:42Do you also play any musical
- 2:44instruments? Please be sure to let me
- 2:47know in the comments. Before I know it,
- 2:51the sun sets, and evening arrives—the
- 2:54highlight time I’ve been waiting for.
- 2:58I turn off the room lights and turn on
- 3:01the television screen. My favorite
- 3:05hobby these days is watching
- 3:07interesting thriller dramas. I
- 3:11especially enjoyed watching the drama
- 3:13called "Mouse." I recommend it to you
- 3:16all as well. Sometimes I watch it while
- 3:20sitting comfortably on the sofa, and
- 3:21sometimes I watch it lying in bed.
- 3:25Besides thrillers, I also really love
- 3:27sweet romance dramas or heartwarming
- 3:29family stories. Watching the characters
- 3:33in the dramas, I sometimes laugh alone
- 3:35or find myself shedding tears without
- 3:37knowing it. When I’m watching a drama
- 3:42I like, the day passes by so quickly.
- 3:45After resting well like this without
- 3:48any worries, I feel like I can spend
- 3:50Monday energetically again. Everyone,
- 3:54how was it listening to my weekend
- 3:56story in Korean today? Were there any
- 4:00words that stuck in your ear or
- 4:03sentences you understood? Listening to

- 4:10this will really help you learn Korean.
