9 BAD HABITS YOU NEED TO STOP DOING IN GOLD LANE + INSANE GAMEPLAY — Transcript
Full transcript
- 0:00Are you struggling to win rank games in
- 0:01gold lane? For today's video, I'm going
- 0:03to talk about the bad habits you need to
- 0:05stop doing as a marksman main. Let's get
- 0:07into it. Number one, missing last hit on
- 0:10minions. Last hitting means landing the
- 0:13final blow on a minion so you get the
- 0:15gold. In the gold lane, this is
- 0:18especially important because the game is
- 0:20literally giving you more gold than
- 0:21usual when you're in that lane, but only
- 0:24if you secure the last hits. It's bad
- 0:26because every missed minion is a lost
- 0:29gold. Missing multiple last hits adds up
- 0:32quickly. You fall behind in gold, delay
- 0:34your core items, and lose the power to
- 0:37carry later. Bad habit number two is not
- 0:40buying sustain in early. In gold lane,
- 0:43especially early game, you're often
- 0:45alone and constantly trading hits with
- 0:47your lane opponent. If you don't have a
- 0:49way to heal or reduce incoming damage,
- 0:51you'll get bullied out of lane. It's a
- 0:54bad thing because you get poked down
- 0:55easily and have to recall early, missing
- 0:58minions and turret gold, and you can't
- 1:00fight back confidently, especially
- 1:02against heavy or poke heroes like
- 1:05Beatatrix or Clint. You also become an
- 1:08easy kill for junglers since you're
- 1:09always low HP. You can buy dreadnaugh
- 1:13armor that gives 30 physical defense or
- 1:15the steel leg plates that gives 35
- 1:17physical defense. You can buy also rose
- 1:20gold if your opponent in gold lane is a
- 1:23mage type hero like Natan or Harth.
- 1:26Number three is overextending without
- 1:28vision. Overextending means you push too
- 1:31far forward into the lane past the river
- 1:34or enemy tower without knowing where the
- 1:36enemies are, especially the jungler and
- 1:38ror. When you do this without vision or
- 1:41map awareness, you're putting yourself
- 1:43in a very risky position. It's bad
- 1:46because the enemy jungler can gank you
- 1:48easily from the bush or river or the
- 1:51enemy ROR might be hiding nearby and
- 1:53you'll get collapsed on quickly. And
- 1:55since you're in the gold lane alone,
- 1:57there's no one to save you. Next is
- 2:00blaming the ROR for everything. Some
- 2:02gold laners blame their ROR every time
- 2:04they lose lane or get ganked, saying no
- 2:07gank, no help, GG tank, etc. But that's
- 2:11a bad mindset because it stops you from
- 2:13improving and ignores what you could
- 2:15have done better. It's bad because
- 2:17you're supposed to be solo in early.
- 2:20Most metas rors usually help mid or
- 2:22jungle first, then rotate exp or gold
- 2:26lane when needed. You're not meant to
- 2:28have fulltime protection in the first
- 2:30few minutes. Wasting your time into
- 2:32blaming it means you're not focusing.
- 2:35While you're typing ror noob, you might
- 2:37be missing minions, mispositioning, or
- 2:40dying again. You ignore your mistake.
- 2:43Maybe you're overextend without vision,
- 2:45misused your flicker, or forced a fight
- 2:47you couldn't win. Those aren't the ROR's
- 2:50fault, but blaming them makes you ignore
- 2:52your own gameplay errors. ROR can't be
- 2:54everywhere. If your ROR is helping the
- 2:57jungler secure turtle or protecting mid
- 2:59lane from a gank, that's just as
- 3:01important as helping you. So, stop being
- 3:03toxic and focused to the game. Number
- 3:06five is ignoring wave management. Wave
- 3:09management is how you control your
- 3:10minion wave, whether you freeze it, slow
- 3:12push, or fast push. Bad wave management
- 3:16means you clear waves without thinking,
- 3:18which can mess up your lane control,
- 3:20farm, and safety. In gold lane, this
- 3:24matters a lot because you're alone. You
- 3:27want to maximize minion and turret gold.
- 3:30You want to stay safe from ganks. It's
- 3:33bad because if you clear enemy lane
- 3:35immediately, you push your lane into
- 3:38enemy turret early. Your wave resets
- 3:40near enemy tower and you're now
- 3:43overextended, easier to gank. Fast
- 3:46clearing makes you miss opportunities to
- 3:48freeze the lane near your turret. So,
- 3:51control your waves by managing your
- 3:53skills and tempo. Don't just spam your
- 3:55skills into the minion and don't auto
- 3:57clear. Bad habit number six is engaging
- 4:011v one too
- 4:03much. This bad habit happens when gold
- 4:06laners, especially marksmen or squishy
- 4:08fighters, keep trying to fight 1v one in
- 4:11lane, even if they're at a disadvantage
- 4:13or haven't hit their power spike yet.
- 4:16It's bad because you're not always
- 4:18strong early. Most gold lane heroes are
- 4:22designed to scale, meaning they get
- 4:23stronger mid to late game after
- 4:25finishing core items. If you try to duel
- 4:28too early, especially against an early
- 4:31game lane bully like Beatatrix or Popo,
- 4:33dying early means falling behind in
- 4:35gold. Every time you die in lane, you
- 4:38miss minions and turret gold. The enemy
- 4:41snowballs faster. You delay your first
- 4:44item, making the next 1v one even
- 4:46harder. Forcing fights means you ignore
- 4:49the real goal of a gold laner. The gold
- 4:52lane is about farming, not dominating
- 4:54lane through kills. If you spend all
- 4:57your time fighting instead of farming,
- 4:59you'll fall behind even if you survive.
- 5:02Bad habit number seven is not rotating
- 5:05after first turret down. Once you
- 5:08destroy the enemy gold lane turret, some
- 5:11players just stay in the same lane
- 5:13farming endlessly. But this is a
- 5:15mistake.
- 5:17By that time, the early game is over and
- 5:19you should start rotating to help the
- 5:21rest of your team, especially for
- 5:23objectives, team fights, or pressure in
- 5:26other lanes. It's bad because you're
- 5:28wasting your lead. You probably have
- 5:30gold lead and items from winning lane.
- 5:33If you keep farming the same lane alone,
- 5:35you're not using that power to help win
- 5:37fights or secure turtles ranked lords.
- 5:40The lane loses value once the first
- 5:43turret is gone. Minion waves are shorter
- 5:46and less rewarding. If you keep farming
- 5:48onto that lane, the enemy can easily
- 5:51trap or punish you. Once lanes open up,
- 5:54the map gets more dangerous. Staying
- 5:56alone in side lanes makes you a target
- 5:59for ganks or 2v1 dives. Number eight is
- 6:03forgetting your battle spell impact.
- 6:05Many players misuse, delay, or forget
- 6:08the power of their battle spell like
- 6:09flicker, purify, inspire, or eegis
- 6:13during fights in lane. Your battle spell
- 6:16can save your life, turn a fight, or
- 6:19secure a kill. Using it at the wrong
- 6:21time, or not at all, is a huge mistake
- 6:24that often leads to avoidable deaths or
- 6:27missed kills. It's bad because holding
- 6:30your spell too long means wasted
- 6:33potential. Like waiting too long to use
- 6:36flicker and you die before you press it
- 6:38or saving purify until after you're
- 6:40stunned and you still dead. For the last
- 6:42bad habit is neglecting turret gold. In
- 6:46the early game, enemy outer turrets drop
- 6:48gold coins when damaged. This is called
- 6:51turret energy shield and gives extra
- 6:54gold to whoever deals damage to it,
- 6:56which is huge for the gold laner. This
- 6:59means you don't poke the turret during
- 7:01this 5-minute window or you recall too
- 7:03often, roam too early, or play too safe
- 7:06to take advantage of it. It is bad
- 7:08because you miss a key source of gold.
- 7:11Each turret plating layer gives 110 gold
- 7:14shared between heroes. If you leave your
- 7:17lane at two or 3 minutes to help mid or
- 7:19jungle, but the turret isn't destroyed
- 7:21yet, you're walking away from free gold
- 7:24and you miss opportunity to take gold
- 7:26from towers. But just remember to be
- 7:28careful when the enemy is missing. They
- 7:30might gank you. So always check your
- 7:32mini
- 7:39map. And now guys, let me show you the
- 7:42perfect example of what a good gold
- 7:44laner should do with this insane
- 7:46gameplay using Leslie. Just finish the
- 7:48whole video or I'm going to crash out.
