- 0:01The fraud person allegedly came to the
- 0:03house or hired a handyman. The handyman
- 0:05changed the locks that they had on the
- 0:07house already, so now they don't have
- 0:08keys to the
- 0:09>> This lady has filed this deed that is
- 0:12fraudulent.
- 0:12>> Like I said, it's all I feel like it's
- 0:14just all fraud.
- 0:15>> Oh, yeah. There's a situation and we're
- 0:17trying to prove residency right now. So,
- 0:19is there a way you can come up here with
- 0:21that paper?
- 0:23>> I am not at this moment. I'm at work.
- 0:26>> No, I ain't going to let y'all walk up
- 0:27on this man's property like this. Y'all
- 0:29got to respect that. Talk to a real man.
- 1:52>> Where's the handyman?
- 1:53>> Don't know. He locked the house. He
- 1:55technically live here now. And the
- 1:57alleged whatever posted this on the
- 1:59door.
- 2:00>> Who posted it?
- 2:02>> The fraudulent person.
- 2:03>> The squatter?
- 2:04>> Yeah.
- 2:04>> Do we have her information?
- 2:07>> Her Is it spelled right?
- 2:09>> Okay.
- 2:10>> Um I guess she has prior fraudulent
- 2:12charges that they've looked up in the
- 2:13past, something like that. Is it civil?
- 2:16>> It was a mess.
- 2:16>> No, I don't think so.
- 2:18>> Cuz Sarge thinks it's civil based on
- 2:20what's on here.
- 2:20>> No, I think we got squatter's law.
- 2:35>> And she texts me and said, "Oh, there's
- 2:38a gentleman here that says that she's
- 2:40changing the locks that the
- 2:42[clears throat] owner has sent him to do
- 2:43so."
- 2:44[ __ ] Who is by response? I was
- 2:46like, "You're the right book." And then
- 2:48when I started to call the contacts and
- 2:50kind of get my pieces together be the
- 2:52FBI and try to figure out this chain of
- 2:53title, figure out what was going on.
- 2:56Um
- 2:57>> Like what?
- 2:57>> She came back and posted these signs all
- 2:59over the place.
- 3:00Put this over here.
- 3:03Changing locks on a house for somebody
- 3:04that she don't even know.
- 3:05>> Yeah.
- 3:06>> That's crazy.
- 3:07>> Are they actually staying here?
- 3:09>> No. There's nobody been here.
- 3:11>> Okay. So they don't have any property in
- 3:14here?
- 3:14>> Nothing.
- 3:15>> Okay.
- 3:16>> Vacant.
- 3:17And they removed the handyman removed
- 3:19the lock that we changed it to
- 3:21yesterday.
- 3:22And how do you sleep in in a house that
- 3:24you just closed on?
- 3:25And somebody rolls up on your house and
- 3:27starts changing your locks.
- 3:28I mean, you would be seeing the end of a
- 3:30380 if it were me. I mean, I'm just
- 3:32being honest.
- 3:33>> Uh yeah.
- 3:37>> [music]
- 3:50>> Do you all got the sale paperwork?
- 3:51>> I do. All right. All right.
- 3:54Here's her closing docs from yesterday.
- 3:56>> Yep.
- 3:58Are you the new homeowners?
- 4:00>> I am the representing realtor. She is
- 4:02the buyer.
- 4:02>> Okay.
- 4:03>> So, she is the new homeowner. So, here's
- 4:04all of the closing docs from yesterday.
- 4:06And then I did print out chain of title
- 4:09so that you guys could kind of see
- 4:10ownership. It's in the secondary.
- 4:12Um so that you guys could see kind of
- 4:13how that transpired.
- 4:15>> All right.
- 4:25>> [music]
- 4:35>> You have your ID, ma'am?
- 4:37Perfect.
- 4:38>> This lady has filed this deed that is
- 4:41fraudulent. I mean, ultimately, I think
- 4:42we're going to have to pursue charges
- 4:43against her for that, but that's outside
- 4:45of our current problem, you know?
- 4:48>> She filed a deed to the court?
- 4:50>> [music]
- 4:50>> Right. So, and this paperwork here,
- 4:54you can see that she has filed a
- 4:57fraudulent deed.
- 5:00So, this is the title showing that
- 5:01PennyMac is the verified owner of the
- 5:03property. Okay? And obviously, PennyMac
- 5:05is who sold her the property. This
- 5:07individual saying that she's making
- 5:09claim to this property two owners back
- 5:11that she was a beneficiary. There's no
- 5:13chain of title.
- 5:18>> I mean, here's the property card that
- 5:19shows PennyMac
- 5:22as the owner of the property.
- 5:23>> Mhm.
- 5:24>> And then here's this fraudulent deed
- 5:26that she's recorded. That's basically
- 5:28stating Yeah, of course.
- 5:32>> So, she's saying
- 5:34estate is selling the property to the
- 5:36trust. So, she's signing as if she's a
- 5:39seller to herself as a seller, but she's
- 5:41nowhere as a seller or an owner.
- 5:43>> Right.
- 5:45>> It's like trying to find where it's
- 5:46well, though.
- 5:47>> Is this on the clerk of the court's
- 5:48website? Is that where we got this?
- 5:49>> the property appraiser's website. So,
- 5:51she did go down to the courthouse and
- 5:52she did record that deed.
- 5:56But, there was no ownership. She's
- 5:58claiming that she [music]
- 6:01filed for a silent title title transfer
- 6:04and filed for property abandonment.
- 6:07>> What have we got here?
- 6:08>> This is the general warranty deed. This
- 6:11lady is stating that she was a
- 6:12beneficiary of the deceased Campanello
- 6:14that was owner of this property 7 years
- 6:16back.
- 6:17>> Okay.
- 6:18>> So, she has no claim to it, I guess.
- 6:20>> Right.
- 6:22>> I just wanted to be able to provide you
- 6:24the chain so that you guys could kind of
- 6:25see it.
- 6:28And when a foreclosure happens, I mean,
- 6:29that's why it takes so long in a
- 6:30foreclosure proceeding is because they
- 6:32have to make sure that there is nobody
- 6:33that can pop up and make claim to the
- 6:35asset. So,
- 6:36when we have that, it's kind of a blank
- 6:38canvas. So, this lady kind of coming out
- 6:40of the blue and changing locks and
- 6:42threatening trespassing just seems to be
- 6:44a little bit egregious to me.
- 7:00>> All right. Let me just go verify that on
- 7:01the property appraiser's website and
- 7:03we'll be right back.
- 7:04So, this person's
- 7:08got no claim to the property.
- 7:11>> As far as we're aware, except for the
- 7:12fraudulent document that she filed with
- 7:14the court.
- 7:14>> Did we find that document in the clerk
- 7:16of the court's?
- 7:17>> I haven't looked yet.
- 7:19>> Is that Sergeant Jones?
- 7:20>> It sounds like it sounds like she
- 7:21doesn't have any claim or right to the
- 7:22property.
- 7:23>> Right.
- 7:24>> And she
- 7:24got it unlawfully.
- 7:25>> It sounds like it's a typical squatter
- 7:27situation.
- 7:29So, they're here now. She is not.
- 7:32The new owners I they have the whole
- 7:34bill of sale and everything.
- 7:37We tell them they're free to do what
- 7:39they want with their property. They sold
- 7:41it yesterday. They bought it yesterday.
- 7:42They closed yesterday.
- 7:45>> Let's confirm everything with the the
- 7:46first website about
- 7:48on the property appraisal. Who does it
- 7:50come back to?
- 7:51>> It comes back to PennyMac.
- 7:53>> Who is that?
- 7:53>> Which is the bank.
- 7:55That this these people bought it through
- 7:57a foreclosure.
- 8:00>> Okay.
- 8:00>> And they bought it yesterday, so it's
- 8:01probably not updated in the system.
- 8:03Clerk of the court showing that she
- 8:05filed paperwork suing
- 8:08the prior owners of property after
- 8:11PennyMac had already foreclosed on the
- 8:14property.
- 8:15>> What's her name?
- 8:17>> Her name is
- 8:19All this stuff started October 7th, but
- 8:21the property was foreclosed on and
- 8:23became the property of
- 8:25I believe it said September.
- 8:47>> [music]
- 9:01[music]
- 9:11>> The listing agent?
- 9:12>> Yeah.
- 9:14>> Not really.
- 9:15>> Obviously, he's the one with the gun a
- 9:17contract seller to sell to list I mean
- 9:19the property is publicly marketed.
- 9:21>> Yeah.
- 9:22>> On the market.
- 9:24>> We're just going through it.
- 9:25>> in my career ever had this happen.
- 9:27>> Yeah.
- 9:28>> Ever.
- 9:29>> That is more with like rentals, but this
- 9:31whole deed
- 9:33>> Yeah, it's for
- 9:34>> And for cuz that information's clearly
- 9:36on the clerk of the courts.
- 9:37>> Right.
- 9:38>> Um
- 9:40She's suing the Daughtry's who lost
- 9:42their home. When did it say? September?
- 9:44>> Right.
- 9:45Right.
- 9:46>> That's when the foreclosure finalized?
- 9:48>> And she
- 9:49>> But they didn't submit their She
- 9:51That all got submitted to the clerk of
- 9:52the courts and I think it October 7th.
- 9:55>> Right.
- 9:55>> But then it's saying it's suing some FBC
- 9:59Mortgage LLC.
- 10:01>> I have no idea. Like I said, it's all I
- 10:03feel like it's just all fraud.
- 10:04>> Oh, yeah.
- 10:05>> I looked up the lady we have a As
- 10:07realtors, we have like a I'm going to
- 10:09call like a background type of
- 10:10situation. I mean, obviously nothing
- 10:11like you guys have, but it's just full
- 10:13of schemes to defraud or grand theft
- 10:15charges. So, does it seem like this is
- 10:16out of the wheelhouse? [music]
- 10:17>> Right.
- 10:18>> You know?
- 10:18>> She's advanced her game, maybe.
- 10:20>> Right.
- 10:29And it's on file. It's on record.
- 10:31>> Do you have a physical copy with it on
- 10:33you?
- 10:34>> I do.
- 10:35>> Are you able to bring it to the house?
- 10:37>> I am not at this moment. I'm at work. I
- 10:39can do it later.
- 10:41>> All right. Well, we're here now. There's
- 10:42a situation and we're trying to prove
- 10:44residency right now. So, is there a way
- 10:46you can come up here with that paper?
- 10:49>> Can I send someone with it? I can't come
- 10:51at this moment. I will be at work.
- 10:53>> Well, we need you here for the fact of
- 10:55the matter.
- 10:57>> Okay.
- 10:59Well, let me see if I can get over
- 11:01there, but it's not going to be right
- 11:03this second. It's going to take me a
- 11:04good minute.
- 11:05>> That's fine. Just uh I'll call you back
- 11:07in a few minutes. All right?
- 11:08>> Okay.
- 11:09>> All right. Bye-bye.
- 11:11>> Okay. Well, if you look on Marion County
- 11:13Property Appraiser and go pull up that
- 11:16address, my [clears throat] warranty
- 11:17deed is on file.
- 11:20And I have a quiet title action that's
- 11:23also in place that I have filed with
- 11:26Marion County.
- 11:28>> Okay. Well, you're going to need to take
- 11:29all that to the civil division, discuss
- 11:30it with them there.
- 11:32>> Okay.
- 11:32>> All right. Well,
- 11:34what was your date of birth? I'm sorry.
- 11:35I have your first name and your last
- 11:36name. It's only
- 11:37>> You don't That's not relevant to you,
- 11:38sir. Again, it's
- 11:40>> for It's relevant for the It's
- 11:42It's relevant to the report.
- 11:45That's fine.
- 12:08Is Amy here?
- 12:09>> Who?
- 12:10>> Amy.
- 12:12>> Yeah.
- 12:13>> Is Amy here?
- 12:14>> I don't know if she is here or not. I
- 12:16I've been in my own house here. I don't
- 12:18know if she's here or not. Be honest
- 12:19with you.
- 12:21What What do y'all need?
- 12:23>> We're looking [singing] for [music] We
- 12:24just need to talk to her.
- 12:26Where does she stay at?
- 12:28>> Oh,
- 12:29I don't know if she's I don't
- 12:30know if y'all should come here.
- 12:33>> [clears throat]
- 12:33>> Okay. Y'all don't know if she's inside
- 12:34or not?
- 12:36>> No, I don't know.
- 12:37>> We just need We just need to talk to her
- 12:39about something.
- 12:42>> Why
- 12:42are y'all going to dog and all that
- 12:44coming up here on my private property?
- 12:47>> Okay. Well, we still need to talk to her
- 12:49either way.
- 12:50>> No, I mean, but it looks to me like
- 12:52y'all are here to arrest somebody.
- 12:54>> Well, we need to talk to her first. So,
- 12:56is she here or not?
- 12:57>> I don't know. I haven't seen her. I just
- 12:59came out of my house.
- 13:00>> Can you see if she's here?
- 13:02>> Is she Is she here or not?
- 13:09How How are y'all going to walk up on
- 13:11the man's property like that?
- 13:12>> Because this is where she lives.
- 13:14>> Who?
- 13:15>> This is where she lives.
- 13:16>> No, how are y'all going to walk up on
- 13:18this man's property like this?
- 13:19>> Just like we did.
- 13:21>> How?
- 13:22>> We just walked up. There's no gate,
- 13:24nothing like that.
- 13:25>> Come up here to
- 13:25>> Okay.
- 13:26>> This man own this [ __ ]
- 13:28>> Okay.
- 13:28>> Y'all got to respect that. Time to be a
- 13:30man.
- 13:32>> I don't want to disrespect him either. I
- 13:34just want to I mean it is probably
- 13:36probably
- 13:37>> If y'all brought the dog you don't like
- 13:38god damn a grown man.
- 13:40>> Yeah, that's what that's what bothered
- 13:42me you bring a dog up here to
- 13:44>> Okay, so if I send the dog away is that
- 13:45going to be less of a problem?
- 13:47>> I don't I don't know I don't know.
- 13:50>> To talk to
- 13:51To talk to Amy. I told you that.
- 13:53>> Why y'all want to talk? Y'all want to
- 13:55witness then?
- 13:56>> The witness say we got to get her there
- 13:58first.
- 13:59To talk to her about the investigation.
- 14:01>> Investigation for what?
- 14:02>> Okay.
- 14:06>> You know I'm not trying to be
- 14:07disrespectful. My dad is tired of it.
- 14:09>> That's okay.
- 14:31Okay.
- 14:32>> So why you what what is the arrest for?
- 14:34>> It's not in the restaurant. I
- 14:36>> For what? What y'all want to talk to her
- 14:37for?
- 14:37>> About an investigation that's ongoing.
- 14:39That's all I can tell you. I'm not going
- 14:41to tell you anymore. I got to talk to
- 14:42her.
- 14:42>> My sister go turn the light on. What did
- 14:44y'all come to my house for?
- 14:46>> To go talk to her.
- 14:47>> For what?
- 14:47>> About an investigation that's going on.
- 14:49>> What investigation?
- 14:51>> I'm not going to tell you.
- 14:53I have a my head on my flashlight.
- 14:55>> Like you want to talk to her first.
- 14:56>> Just to talk to her about an
- 14:57investigation.
- 14:58>> You just want to terminate?
- 14:59>> Yes, sir.
- 15:01No, Thanksgiving's tomorrow.
- 15:04Being respectful is not the way you're
- 15:05talking to me.
- 15:07Okay.
- 15:07>> For you being here in this property you
- 15:09guys need a warrant.
- 15:10>> Is she Is she here or not?
- 15:12>> Come on man, be yourself.
- 15:14>> Okay, is she here or not?
- 15:15>> What you talking about?
- 15:16>> Because if I come back with a warrant
- 15:19If I come back with
- 15:20>> Come on bro, this is our land bro.
- 15:22>> If I come back with a warrant, I'm going
- 15:23to go in without you.
- 15:25So, you either bring her out
- 15:27>> That's what you got to go through. Get
- 15:28off the property.
- 15:29>> You don't You don't own this property.
- 15:31You don't own this property.
- 15:33>> Go get a warrant.
- 15:34>> Would you like me to Would you
- 15:36Would you like me to leave?
- 15:38>> Yes, sir.
- 15:39Get the [ __ ] out of the land.
- 15:42You go get out of the land.
- 15:43>> I don't have to have a warrant. Thank
- 15:44you, though.
- 15:46I do not have to have a warrant, ma'am.
- 15:47No, ma'am, I do not.
- 15:49>> Y'all think this is a law. Ain't you got
- 15:51to
- 15:51>> Cuz he wants to talk to
- 15:52>> That's just the law, man.
- 15:53>> We can talk to him, sir. He would like
- 15:56He would like to talk to you.
- 16:19>> We just checked it out. Probable cause
- 16:20for her arrest. Just stay right there. I
- 16:22don't want the dog to jump or react.
- 16:24>> You said what?
- 16:25>> The detective has developed probable
- 16:26cause for her arrest. So, we are here to
- 16:28take her take her into custody.
- 16:30So, if she's here, we need to let you
- 16:32know.
- 16:32>> Why Why are you
- 16:34>> I don't know the specifics of the
- 16:35investigation. I just know the detective
- 16:37is looking for her because she's got
- 16:38probable cause for a case that she's
- 16:39working. So, it's either we come back
- 16:41here, you know, get this solved tonight,
- 16:42or we're going to come back and keep
- 16:43coming because this is the last one at
- 16:44address we have for her.
- 16:46And that she has ties to this address,
- 16:47so we're just going to keep coming back.
- 16:48So, it'd be just you know, quick and
- 16:50easy. Tell her to come out. We'll take
- 16:52her into custody and we'll be on your
- 16:53way.
- 16:56It's going to happen either way, you
- 16:57know, whether it's tonight or tomorrow.
- 17:10>> She is not a criminal. She ain't done
- 17:12nothing wrong.
- 17:12>> I'm not here to judge. I'm just telling
- 17:13you what we're working off of. The The
- 17:15is handling the investigation.
- 17:17>> have a warrant for her
- 17:18>> We don't have a warrant. We have
- 17:19probable cause, which is
- 17:21we can take somebody into custody based
- 17:23on
- 17:24um
- 17:25We don't have a warrant, but we have
- 17:26probable cause.
- 17:28So, we would like for you to go in the
- 17:29house. If she's here, tell her to come
- 17:31out and surrender.
- 17:35>> And you guys have an investigation.
- 17:38Why [clears throat] you guys don't have
- 17:40>> Because we don't need to submit for a
- 17:42warrant if we can take her into custody
- 17:43before getting a warrant.
- 17:44>> You don't have a warrant
- 17:46for her to
- 17:46show up in court.
- 17:49>> Because we have to give her a court
- 17:50order. We have to talk to her to give
- 17:51her that court order. We can't just give
- 17:53somebody
- 17:55>> No, no, no, no. I know you say that
- 17:57you guys now are
- 17:59>> We will come back with a warrant if
- 18:00that's what you guys want. And then we
- 18:01will go into the house without your
- 18:03permission.
- 18:03>> No, before you guys do all of that, that
- 18:06goes into the court order system. Yes,
- 18:09sir.
- 18:09>> That is not how that works.
- 18:10>> I'm sorry, but yes, it does.
- 18:12>> Okay.
- 18:13>> And that goes into the the system
- 18:15>> So, why she got a court order when she
- 18:17got a warrant?
- 18:18>> Yes, sir.
- 18:19>> No, ma'am.
- 18:19>> Like we've already explained, I'm not
- 18:20going to round table this. The detective
- 18:21is following an investigation for
- 18:23criminal charges related to some kind of
- 18:25fraud.
- 18:25>> Fraud criminal charges.
- 18:27>> Fraud, yes.
- 18:41>> What what about what about somebody else
- 18:44is involved on the other side?
- 18:45>> Now you guys going to have to
- 18:47>> I'm not going to go down that road in
- 18:48the investigation because all I know is
- 18:49that she's wanted for
- 18:50for something that she did.
- 18:52>> get a lawyer and you guys can have
- 18:54>> So, she got a warrant?
- 18:55>> If Amy's here, please have her come out.
- 18:57We'll take her into custody and we'll be
- 18:58out of here
- 19:00quick as quick and easy. Um but if she's
- 19:02not, tell us now.
- 19:03>> Okay. So, so she can be out bail out
- 19:05jail?
- 19:06>> Yes, sir. She can bail out.
- 19:08>> How much is it?
- 19:09>> $5,000.
- 19:11>> So, it can cost 500 bucks to get her
- 19:13out?
- 19:13>> Yes, sir.
- 19:14>> It's Thanksgiving, man.
- 19:15>> Everything is going to be an
- 19:17investigation. That's not the right way.
- 19:19>> That's what I'm saying.
- 19:19>> The world goes whether it's a holiday or
- 19:21not. So, let me tell you this, Charles.
- 19:23When the warrant does get filed and
- 19:25becomes active, we're coming back in
- 19:27here and we're not going to leave, okay?
- 19:30So, it's easier for us to get this over
- 19:31done with now
- 19:33and we're going to have her transported
- 19:35and booked in
- 19:36and be done with it versus us coming
- 19:38with a warrant then we're going to, you
- 19:39know,
- 19:40surround the house,
- 19:41possibly go inside if she's in there.
- 19:43Uh we're just here to take her into
- 19:44custody and that's it anyway. That's it.
- 19:51>> Why don't you tell me why y'all came up
- 19:53here first? If you would have told me
- 19:54earlier, I would have turned myself in.
- 19:56>> Why y'all came up here, bro? Don't touch
- 19:58my [ __ ] woman, bro.
- 20:02>> Now, you're going to be interfering with
- 20:03an investigation.
- 20:12Now, we're done.
- 20:13>> Stop playing with her. Y'all saw some
- 20:15push.
- 20:17>> Okay.
- 20:18>> I thought you wanted to talk to her.
- 20:20>> We told you that she's going to be
- 20:21arrested, okay?
- 20:26You're okay. You have a $5,000 bond.
- 20:29Okay? Do you know what this is about?
- 20:31>> No.
- 20:32>> Okay. I'll tell you something. Keep
- 20:33walking.
- 20:34So, you're being charged with ordering a
- 20:36forged document, okay?
- 20:38Would you like to talk about it?
- 20:40>> No.
- 20:40>> Okay.
- 20:45>> [music]
- 20:55>> I'll explain the procedure for warning.
- 20:56If you'll turn around
- 20:58and place your hands together like
- 20:59you're praying.
- 21:00All right, this man he's going to place
- 21:01you in some handcuffs, okay?
- 21:06Have a seat for a second, okay?
- 21:08You just confirm you don't want to talk
- 21:09to us, right? Okay.
