0:03in him, if you abide in my word, you are
0:07my disciples indeed. Jews that believed
0:10in Jesus, he says this, abide in my word
0:13and be my disciples. Meaning Jesus
0:15always wants to take us from believing
0:18to disciplehip.
0:19>> And then verse 32, and you shall know
0:23the truth, and the truth shall make you
0:26free. So now he's talking about part of
0:29disciplehip. As you abide in his word,
0:31you will start knowing the truth and you
0:33will experience freedom. Verse 33. I
0:37don't know what Bible school these guys
0:39went to, but this is what they
0:41responded. I don't know who taught them,
0:43but this is what they responded. We are
0:45Abraham's descendants. We have never
0:48been in bondage to anyone. How can you
0:50say you shall be made me free? Now this
0:54is so dumb.
0:58I didn't say ignorant. This is beyond
1:01ignorant.
1:02At that time, they were enslaved to
1:05Romans.
1:07Literally, they've been enslaved to
1:09everyone.
1:11How can you be so oblivious
1:16and say something so ignorant? We have
1:20never word never is a very strong word.
1:25They didn't say once in a while we've
1:27never been in bondage to anyone. And I
1:29wonder sometimes if the disciple the the
1:31the believers in Jesus who were invited
1:34into a disciplehip process which
1:36involves deliverance you shall know the
1:39truth and you shall be free which
1:41involves deliverance. And they come and
1:43they say we don't need deliverance.
1:45We've never been in bondage. Christians
1:47cannot have a demon.
1:51And then Jesus says, "Yo." Didn't say
1:54that. This is my way of saying Jesus
1:57said, "Yo." Verse 34, Jesus answered
1:59them, "Most assuredly I say to you,
2:03whoever commits sin is a slave of sin,
2:06and a slave does not abide in the house
2:08forever, but a son abides forever.
2:12Therefore,
2:13if the son makes you free, you shall be
2:17free indeed.
2:20>> Now, remember the verse I started with.
2:24Who did Jesus address?
2:27The Jews who believed.
2:32Not the Jews who rebelled. Not the Jews
2:36who resisted believed.
2:39You believe in your heart. Confess with
2:41your mouth. The Bible says you are
2:42saved. Jews who believed were invited
2:45into disciplehip which involves
2:48deliverance which involves freedom. And
2:50they say we have never been in bond.
2:53See, God cannot set you free as long as
2:55you're claiming to be free.
2:58>> Now, nothing wrong with claiming if you
3:01can back it up.
3:04But what I found out is many people
3:07pretend to be free
3:10and they love the facade of freedom than
3:13actually being free. I would rather be
3:17free than pretend to be free. And these
3:21Jews, they pretended to be free. When
3:24Jesus says he pulled the scale, he says,
3:25"Can boys, can can I tell you straight
3:27up, if you're doing sin and you keep
3:29repeating sin, you're in bondage. I know
3:31you believe in me, but you're in
3:32bondage. And because you're in bondage,
3:34you're not going to dwell in the house
3:35forever. You you need freedom. Whom the
3:38son sets free is free indeed. Okay.
3:44When it comes to deliverance
3:46before Jesus came on the scene, and I go
3:49a little bit into depth in my book about
3:52what happened in the 400 years of what
3:56theologians call it the silence from
3:58Malachi to the coming of John the
4:00Baptist. During that time, Jewish
4:04demonology,
4:06their framework of who demons are and
4:10what they do, how the demons came from
4:13the disembodied spirits of the dead
4:16nephilims which comes from Enoch. That
4:20idea was really developed. The framework
4:23of demonology was developed during those
4:26400 years. Greeks viewed spirits as good
4:30or bad. Jewish framework saw these
4:35spirits as only bad. They developed
4:38different techniques in combating
4:41unclean spirits. In fact, the there are
4:44literature from the Dead Sea Scrolls
4:46that talk about different psalms they
4:48would use to recite. And those of you
4:50who watched Chosen first episode, you
4:52saw a priest exercising a demon out of a
4:56woman, throwing all kinds of Solomon's
4:59proverbs and other stuff. And so Jewish
5:02people, the idea of demons, the idea of
5:05demonization was not a strange. Jesus
5:08did not come and they're like, "Oh,
5:10we've never seen it." They've heard
5:12about it. Their theology, their ideology
5:14was developed. There was only one thing
5:17is no one ever came against an unclean
5:22spirit in his own name.
5:26>> Wow.
5:27>> You always used someone else's name.
5:30>> Wow.
5:31>> David's name, Solomon's name, and then
5:33you did some other juju ju guu stuff.
5:37And if in case Solomon's name didn't
5:39work,
5:41here is Jesus comes. And what shocked
5:44people was not the deliverance but the
5:47authority that he without using Moses,
5:50Noah, anybody else says, "I command you
5:54get out of him. Come out of him." And
5:57when the demon would leave, the person
5:59would be set free. And they said, "What
6:01is this man with this kind of authority
6:04that he carries?" And then Jesus tells
6:07his disciples, he says, "Everywhere you
6:09go, you will do the same thing in my
6:12name." We're not going to quote uh
6:15Solomon. We're not going to quote David
6:17to drive out unclean spirits. He says,
6:19"My name will get you through the doors
6:21and these people will be set free." When
6:25Jesus came the son of God, his first
6:28public appearance after defeating devil
6:31in the wilderness was a service where an
6:34unclean spirit manifested in a
6:37synagogue. Please understand this was
6:39not a nightclub. Please understand this
6:42was not some gathering of witches in
6:45some kind of a dark room. These were
6:47god-fearing
6:49Jewish worshippers.
6:52That means that person who manifested a
6:54demon kept there came there every single
6:58Shabbat and he worshiped and he
7:00memorized the verses and he memorized
7:02the scriptures but something was
7:04tormenting him and when Jesus came in
7:07the room the unclean spirit manifested
7:10and right away that debunks many of
7:12traditional teachings which it says do
7:14not do deliverance in public.
7:19Had this happened today, the ushers
7:21would have taken the demonized person
7:23outside and brought him on Wednesday
7:26night Bible study that nobody attends
7:30and hide him in some kind of a secret
7:33room and try to indoctrinate that person
7:36to stop faking and manifesting and
7:39drawing attention to themselves.
7:42Jesus instead of getting a demonized
7:45person out of the room, he gets the
7:47demon out of a person sets the person
7:50free. And what you see though there is
7:54nobody afterward says I am so interested
7:59in demons.
8:02Everyone after that
8:04glorified God.
8:06>> Because when people experience
8:10deliverance,
8:12the fear of demons doesn't come into the
8:14room. The fear of God does.
8:19Pastors, leaders, you want to bring the
8:22fear of God into the church,
8:26allow the kingdom of God to crash the
8:30kingdom of darkness.
8:33>> How do you do that? And I will show that
8:36in just few m few moments. Some of the
8:37things that we had to go through. But
8:40deliverance is not only children's
8:42bread. Deliverance was part of Jesus's
8:45ministry. his followers did exactly the
8:47same thing. Jesus didn't apologize for
8:49this ministry. Jesus didn't minimize
8:51this ministry. And Jesus cast Jesus was
8:55the greatest exorcist,
8:58>> deliverance minister that walked on this
9:01earth. His disciples followed the same
9:04pattern because they did what he did. We
9:07come to about fourth century. You must
9:10understand a little shift that happened
9:12with Christianity. It'll give you just a
9:13slight little history lesson. In the
9:16first few centuries, Christians expected
9:19Jesus to come back. They were
9:20persecuted.
9:22They did not have authority politically.
9:26They didn't have finances.
9:28They didn't have healthy reputation.
9:31They were viewed very badly. The way
9:34church spread though being crushed,
9:37being killed was really by dependence on
9:40the Holy Spirit.
9:43The power of the Holy Spirit is what
9:45caused people to convert from pagan
9:47Roman Empire to Christian faith.
9:51Deliverance, healing, love were the
9:56driving forces of this new cult like
10:00Roman called it, Romans called it.
10:04Christians expected also Jesus's second
10:07return any moment to crush the Roman
10:10Empire and establish his reign.
10:13By the 4th century,
10:15Christianity because of the emperor
10:17Constantine no longer is persecuted.
10:20Christians now became popular, powerful,
10:25and prosperous, which is a good thing.
10:27It's not a bad thing. But prosperity is
10:29as dangerous and as hard to handle for
10:31some people as persecution.
10:34Interestingly, theology begins to shift
10:37a little bit. Most of the theology
10:41and the view that many even of us get
10:44started to get from the church fathers
10:47who were heavily influenced not by the
10:50Jewish thought but by the Greek thought
10:54like Augustine and other church fathers
10:58who were heavily influenced by Greek
11:00thought who started to view the physical
11:04world
11:06the spiritual world up. Now, in one
11:09sense, it's good. Jesus's second coming,
11:14the kingdom to come was no longer viewed
11:16as something that one day his kingdom
11:18will come. Actually, the thought started
11:19to permeate. Is this the kingdom came?
11:24It's through us. The church is now has
11:27all the power. The kingdom is here.
11:29We're not expecting him to come. He's
11:31here. He's here through us.
11:35Then came another form of thought.
11:39a blueprint mentality. A mentality that
11:43Calvinistic
11:45form of faith really holds on to that
11:47everything is determined. God decides
11:49everything. Everything that happens in
11:51this world is because God willed it. God
11:55is supreme. God is in control. Nothing
11:59happens without his will. He wills
12:01everything that happens. He decides who
12:04gets saved. He decides who does not get
12:06saved. He decides what happens and he
12:08does everything on this earth for his
12:11glory. Your child got run over for his
12:14glory.
12:16Abuse happened for his glory. You're
12:18just foolish man who doesn't understand
12:20that yet. His mysterious will. Now, at
12:23first there's enough verses to actually
12:26kind of stretch the sovereignty of God
12:28to its extremes. The problem with that
12:31world view is this is it makes you a
12:34person that resigns in pacivity because
12:38you no longer fight. And the definition
12:41of evil is attached closely to the
12:44character of God.
12:46>> Yeah. Come on now. Say it.
12:48>> Before we talk about deliverance, I have
12:51to take a rock and throw it at the glass
12:54of this framework.
12:56God does not will evil.
13:01>> He is at war with evil.
13:07>> I love church fathers and all of those
13:10blessed people who left us a great
13:12heritage and all of this stuff, but my
13:14example is Jesus Christ.
13:17>> He healed the sick. He did not condone
13:21sickness.
13:22>> He stopped storms. He didn't thank God
13:25for them and didn't say it was God's
13:27will. He would crash with clash with the
13:29kingdom of darkness. He didn't condone
13:31it. He didn't walk around healing the
13:34sickness God brought. He would be
13:36working against God's will. He was God's
13:39will. He was God in flesh. And Jesus
13:42modeled to us that this is what God is
13:46like. He heals the sick. He sets the
13:49captives free. He raises the dead who
13:52died prematurely. He cleanses the
13:54lepers. If you want to know what God is
13:57like, see Jesus.

14:05>> Our view,
14:08a deliverance view, deliverance
14:11framework
14:13is warfare worldview.
14:15>> We see world
14:18as good versus evil. and we are at war.
14:24You won't practice deliverance.
14:27You won't believe in deliverance. You
14:29won't exercise deliverance if you view
14:32that everything that happens in this
14:34world is a result of God's perfect will.
14:38>> This world is broken. a 14-year-old boy
14:43where we live and where our new church
14:45is going to be at who created a
14:47manifesto to create a massacre in the
14:51school. And though he was meticulous and
14:54plan every detail in a Kamayakan high
14:57school, he was dumb
15:00because he recorded his plan on Tik Tok
15:02and explained every detail of how he's
15:05going to massacre our high school.
15:08Thank God somebody saw it in Texas, in
15:10Florida, reported it to the police and
15:13he got arrested and they found his plan,
15:15all the guns, all the bullets and his
15:17best friend. My friend, that wasn't God.
15:20>> Come on now.
15:22>> That was evil.
15:25>> So
15:27we operate with this framework.
15:31What we see today is not what God wanted
15:33to create. Sin ruined everything. Satan
15:36takes advantage of sin. And what we see
15:38in this world is not a result of God's
15:41perfect will.
15:43It's a result of evil. And we are not
15:46passive bystanders.
15:49>> We are active participants
15:52>> driving evil out,
15:54>> fighting evil.
15:56>> We are not. It's better to be a warrior
15:59in the garden than to be a gardener at
16:02war. Yeah,
16:04>> and unfortunately many Christians have
16:07switched to a Disney vacation world view
16:09of their life.
16:11>> We are called to war.
16:14>> There's a war taking place for the soul
16:15of our nation. There's a war taking
16:17place for the soul of our students. If
16:19you don't believe me, look what is
16:21happening with Netflix. They are
16:23infiltrating. They are specifically
16:25pushing their agenda. The enemy is
16:28active with that. We are at war.
16:33We are soldiers.
16:36Church is a worship and life is a
16:39warfare. Now I understand it is not a
16:42terminology for those of you who love to
16:44only soak in the presence of God that
16:47you would love to embrace. And some of
16:50you maybe mentally say I don't receive
16:52this energy Vlad.
16:54Everything is peace.
16:57Everything is calm. I don't like this
17:00whole bloody thing. I just just I just
17:02like, you know, everything to be
17:05comfortable and everything to be good.
17:08Um, you're not in heaven yet. So, please
17:10wake up because this is not heaven yet.
17:13We are fighting the gates of hell.
17:18The culture
17:20instead of acknowledging the evil
17:23glorifies evil or
17:28domesticates it and views it as
17:30something that is healthy where you
17:33adopt the new Korean movie, animated
17:37movie where a demon adopts his half of a
17:41demon part, identifies with it and
17:44accepts it. and all the kids watch it
17:45because the animations are really nice.
17:47So, either it's portrayed through horror
17:49films like Conjuring and through all of
17:52the scary spooky stuff where they twist
17:55the truth, add the sound effects, or
17:56it's viewed as something good. You
17:58accept that, you receive that, you have
18:00your spirit guides and you talk with
18:02that. Culture doesn't know how to deal
18:06with people who have demonic thoughts.
18:08And so what we do with those is we
18:11medicate them or we give them 20 or 15
18:15disorders.
18:18>> We label them
18:21>> and then medicate them.
18:24We hire counselors in high school and
18:27you have a depressing thought, you you
18:29hear voices, you right away will be
18:31given a mental disorder label
18:35>> and the therapy is going to be your
18:37deliverance
18:40in the church. You come into the church
18:42and how the church has operated before
18:44is this is that in one way the church
18:46demonizes deliverance.
18:49Calls them with names. Those are the
18:51weirdos. Those are the whackers. We
18:52don't believe in that kind of stuff. And
18:54the other side of the church is where
18:56they would divorce deliverance from
18:58disciplehip and view it as something.
19:00Oh, it's it's that that person, he
19:02really wants to do deliverance. Let's
19:03just so they don't leave the church. Let
19:04them do their thing. But could you
19:06please keep it on Friday nights in the
19:07basement of the church and then we will
19:09never announce it to anybody. Let's
19:11divorce it from the life of the church.
19:12Why? It will scare the children
19:17>> who read Harry Potter and dress up like
19:20witches on Halloween night. But it will
19:22scare them.
19:27>> Don't allow it in public. Why? Demons
19:30will jump from one person to another.
19:33Really? And where did you read that?
19:37And there's fear of that.
19:40What happened at Hungry Jen? Let me just
19:41come a little bit to hungry Jen. Now
19:44when our church was started, our pastor
19:46first introduced us right away. His one
19:47of his fears for us was that we in the
19:51United States will adopt a Christianity
19:54that has a form but denies God's power.
19:58>> He saw in charismatic circles prophecy
20:01and healing were gladly welcomed and
20:05deliverance.
20:11And it's not because there was lack of
20:13demons.
20:18Pastor would take us to deliverance
20:19seminars,
20:21scary ones.
20:23We were very young. And he would
20:26introduce us to videos we would watch.
20:28And I'll be first honest with you. It
20:31was not my preferred diet.
20:34It wasn't be like, "Oh my gosh, I want
20:36to watch another deliverance video. I
20:38just want to hear a demon being
20:39interrogated."
20:44Pastor
20:46would push it on us.
20:50He would preach every Sunday before he
20:52would preach. what you saw today, we
20:56would see four of those
21:00from a different country where the demon
21:03said stuff and sometimes the the demon
21:05part speaking would be like 10 minutes
21:08and we'll be like
21:12I'll just be honest in the beginning
21:14maybe it's because how hard pastor was
21:16pushing that we were a little bit
21:18resistant
21:20until one day
21:22it hit
21:24when we went through our own deliverance
21:26and that changes a lot.
21:29>> Your life changes. You go through
21:31something like that and your experience
21:33changes. The people who went through
21:35that with us at that time are still with
21:37us, still serving God and now are being
21:41used by God now are pastors and our
21:43leaders of the church.
21:50something that we wrote as part of our
21:52churches and pastor Ilia alluded to that
21:54when he came up to say that you know we
21:57have values we have unique
21:59characteristics as part of the culture
22:01in our church and one of our unique
22:03characteristics is confronting the
22:05demonic meaning if you come to hungry
22:08Jen and you want to know kind of what
22:09really makes us us you know we have
22:11those characteristics you can see them
22:13on the website but let me read to you
22:14about the confronting the demonic
22:16everywhere Jesus went He healed the
22:18sick. He preached the kingdom. He cast
22:20out demons. Deliverance is a part of
22:23disciplehip. Believers can be in
22:26bondage. But deliverance is the
22:28children's bread. Deliverance involves
22:31casting out demons, breaking mental
22:34strongholds, and receiving inner
22:36healing. We don't console demons, we
22:39cast them out.
22:43When it comes to deliverance, there is I
22:45would say four main modes by the way
22:48people view deliverance. The first one
22:51is the one where people who don't
22:53believe in deliverance, but this is how
22:55they think of deliverance. I call it the
22:57we call it the gospel mode. The gospel
23:00mode is mainline Christianity in the
23:02west views deliverance this way. When
23:06you give your life to Jesus, you are
23:08fully delivered.
23:11So they believe in if if you press it
23:12hard, they say, "We believe in
23:14deliverance." And this is how
23:15deliverance works. You confess Jesus as
23:18the Lord, you you believe in your heart,
23:21you're delivered.
23:22They will not find one verse in the
23:24Bible to justify that position. But this
23:27is how that works. And if you're
23:29experiencing any torments and attacks,
23:31it's all in your head. You need to see a
23:33counselor or a therapist. You shouldn't
23:35be having that. Maybe you're not
23:36genuinely saved. The challenge with this
23:39mode of deliverance which I do not
23:41subscribe to. We believe in salvation
23:44and people believing in Jesus. We pray
23:46for that. But that is not necessarily
23:49where demons are removed out of a
23:51person. When you are saved, you are
23:54removed from the kingdom of darkness.
23:59>> Kingdom of darkness is not necessarily
24:01removed out of you.
24:05When you are saved, let me say that
24:06again. You are transferred from the
24:08kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of
24:10light. But there are still stuff many
24:13times. What happens when somebody gets
24:15saved and they had demons? Demons go in
24:19hiding
24:22or with other people. It's the opposite.
24:25Demons
24:27begin to manifest and their life becomes
24:30living hell. They're like, "Why is
24:32everything falling apart? What's
24:33happening? Why am I under attack?"
24:35because finally they got exposed.
24:38>> But one thing I'm going to say about
24:40that, there's not one evidence in the
24:43gospels where Jesus came into a room and
24:47by his sheer presence
24:50demons left,
24:52>> not one.
24:54But there are instances everywhere Jesus
24:56comes in and they were provoked
25:00>> but they didn't come out until and you
25:03see this constant phrase he cast them
25:07out.
25:08>> The Bible doesn't say he just came into
25:10the room.
25:11>> No, he came into the room and they
25:13surfaced.
25:15It's when he cast them out, they left.
25:18And Jesus never gave his disciples even
25:23a hint that demons are dealt with when
25:27someone believes in Jesus as the
25:30Messiah. He always separated says preach
25:33the kingdom, heal the sick, cast out
25:36demons. He didn't say preach the kingdom
25:38and the demon problem is gone. So the
25:41gospel mode as the way of getting demons
25:44out of people, it is not New Testament
25:48scriptural.
25:49>> So good,
25:50>> but it is the mainline version of how
25:52many people view deliverance in the
25:55west. Yes, we believe in deliverance,
25:57pastor Vlad. When you give your life to
26:00Jesus, you are delivered.
26:03The second mode of deliverance and that
26:05is the truth mode of deliverance and
26:07that is when
26:10people view deliverance in this light
26:11and you will see this a lot more in
26:13charismatic circles.
26:15We cast demons off of people.
26:19Truth it means it's all about agreement
26:23with lies. All you got to do is you got
26:26to know the truth. The moment you know
26:29who you are, honey, you won't have those
26:31problems.
26:33The reason why you're getting incabus
26:35and succubus, why? You just don't know
26:36the truth.
26:39It is true that knowing the truth sets
26:42you free. Knowing the truth breaks
26:45mental strongholds.
26:47Knowing the truth does not get the
26:49demons out.
26:51>> There's only one way they get out. When
26:54they are cast out,
26:56>> they don't get they don't get out
26:58because you memorize the scripture.
27:01>> Otherwise, Jesus would tell his
27:03disciples, "Preach the kingdom, heal the
27:05sick, and tell people to memorize
27:08Torah."
27:09>> No, he said, "Cast demons out."
27:13>> There's only one remedy for a demon
27:15living inside of a person, and that is
27:17to be evicted, to be removed. Now where
27:21the problem with the truth mode how they
27:24view books are written about this
27:26seminars and you listen to that you're
27:27like yeah yeah that's right all I got to
27:29do with my depressive thoughts is just
27:32really think positive thoughts and all
27:34that heaviness is going to be gone it is
27:36true if you're dealing with the mental
27:38stronghold if you're dealing just with
27:40thoughts yes positive thoughts will help
27:42you to battle with negative thoughts if
27:44you're dealing with the person who is
27:46intelligent vicious has desires feelings
27:50and This person is living inside of your
27:53body and is translating their voice
27:55through your thoughts, their feelings
27:57through your feelings. That won't work.
28:03>> It's like venom living inside of you.
28:06>> This sucker got a goal.
28:09>> That's not going to work with therapy.
28:11That's not going to work with
28:12counseling. And that won't work with
28:14mental gymnastics.
28:18>> Are you with me?
28:20Now to help debunk even more how the the
28:24truth method is not effective method to
28:28getting demons out. Truth method is
28:31great method when somebody is free
28:36to renew their mind.

28:51truth method is not a way of getting
28:54demons out of people. That's one of the
28:57reasons when somebody comes in and
28:59they're needing deliverance. Hungry Jen
29:01method. And I believe it's not just
29:02hungry Jen. We see this in the
29:04disciples. We see this in the Lord Jesus
29:06Christ is that when he confronted a
29:08demon, he didn't tell the person to
29:10memorize psalms.
29:13>> He cast the demon out of a person.
29:16nor did he broke the spirit off of them.
29:21I know it's a charismatic cool new thing
29:24which is I'm just going to break the
29:25spirit. You technically first don't
29:27break spirits. They don't break. It's
29:29not a 2x4 you break.
29:32It's an entity. It's a it's a person
29:35without a body who who has vicious and
29:38just this desire to possess a body. And
29:41why do they desire to possess a body?
29:43Why do they desire to have a body?
29:45Because one, this is one of their best
29:48way to put graffiti on God's image.
29:53When they get inside, they can put a
29:55graffiti and tarnish the glory of God.
29:59They can't touch God, but they can touch
30:01his image
30:04also because they see God seeks to
30:06inhabit a human heart by coming by his
30:09spirit inside. What they do is they have
30:12a demonic parody and they say if God
30:14comes inside of his creation, we will do
30:17the same. We will get inside of his
30:19creation. God comes to sanctify. We come
30:23to desecrate.
30:25>> Come on now.
30:26>> God comes inside and through living
30:29inside he loves. He forgives. Through
30:32that develops the fruit of the spirit.
30:34Demons cannot kill unless they're
30:37inside. They cannot fulfill their
30:40vicious, ugly, defiled, terrible desires
30:45until they are on the inside. They need
30:48a place of operations.
30:51>> There is a hunger. Jesus says that they
30:54are restless in the dry places, which
30:58tells me where they find rest is where
31:01you find torment.
31:03>> Come on now.
31:04>> Come on now.
31:06They are restless
31:10in dry places.
31:13Where they find rest
31:16is when you find pain.
31:19This is how wicked,
31:22this is how evil their very nature is.
31:27So this idea that I'm going to do mental
31:29gymnastics and these vicious hungry for
31:34a host desperate for a dwelling
31:38entities are going to somehow
31:42pack the bags and vacate.
31:46>> You're smoking something. That's not
31:48going to happen. That's why Jesus didn't
31:51say ask them to leave. He didn't tell us
31:53kindly ask them. He didn't tell us
31:56negotiate with them. He always used a
31:58very forceful word.
32:01You cast them out.
32:04>> There's a force that's involved. Why?
32:06Because leaving is not on their plan.
32:10>> Leaving is not part of their agenda.
32:15Staying is their goal.
32:18>> Come on now.
32:19>> And many times when we would do
32:20deliverance, a demon would say, "I'm not
32:23coming out.
32:25She is mine.
32:28I can't. They will say, "I can't. I have
32:30nowhere to go. Please." And and then
32:32when they see that they're losing and
32:34they switch into pity and they start
32:35crying.
32:39Now, before I used to laugh like you
32:41guys do till I started to learn more
32:44that they would get punished by the
32:46demons that send them for not fulfilling
32:50their task and failing.
32:52So when they were they was not it's not
32:54just a manipulation
32:56trick. They're actually facing judgment
33:00>> because every deliverance
33:02is F on their grade and there's
33:06consequences for that. So the truth now
33:10one of the reasons why the truth mode is
33:13not the most effective way of getting
33:15demons is because in the New Testament
33:16the word for demonization.
33:21So the word that is used in the New
33:23Testament that unfortunately King James
33:26version translates it as a demon
33:28possession
33:32is a Greek word that is best translated
33:36as demonized.
33:38Now people in the west and it's very
33:42this word demonp possessed carries a lot
33:46of emotional baggage
33:49in the west. If you say that like people
33:52can be demonp possessed, you immediately
33:54think even if you didn't watch any of
33:56the exorcist movies, you saw the
33:59pictures.
34:01So everyone in the west will say, you
34:02know what, Christians cannot be
34:04demonpossessed.
34:06Now according to the definition of the
34:08demon-possessed people have in the west
34:11100%.
34:12But biblically speaking, the Bible does
34:16not divide people into possessed and
34:20oppressed.
34:22There's just only one word and this word
34:24is used 16
34:2713 times. 13 times and it's the word
34:30demonized. Now listen to this and this
34:33is people who have more degrees than a
34:34thermometer smarter than me who studied
34:37this and they said what's important for
34:39us to note in every case of demonization
34:43it involves someone under the influence
34:47or control in varying degrees
34:51of an indwelling spirit. I'm going to
34:55say that again.
34:57Demonization in the New Testament means
35:02influence or control
35:05under various degrees. You remember when
35:08the woman came to Jesus said my daughter
35:10is severely
35:12>> that means there are severity
35:15>> of this demonization. And the reason we
35:17like to do is we like to break him into
35:19categories and say if you are less
35:21demonized it's oppression. If you are
35:24heavily demonized it's possession. And
35:26that's good. It helps us to swallow it.
35:28That's not in the Bible.
35:30>> In the Bible is the influence and
35:32control in various degrees of an
35:35indwelling.
35:37Now, this is what freaks many people
35:39out. Indwelling. Not on the outside, on
35:42the inside. Demon.
35:46The word demonization is never used in
35:49the New Testament to describe someone
35:51who is merely harassed or attacked or
35:55tempted by a demon. In every case,
35:57reference is made to a demon either
36:00entering, dwelling in, or being cast out
36:03of a person.
36:07So why is that important for us? Is
36:10because when we do deliverance, we don't
36:13cast demons off of people. We cast them
36:16out of people.
36:20>> Now, this messes with your theology. Get
36:22the book. This is not going to be the
36:23lesson we're going to go through today.
36:25And if you are here, you most likely at
36:27least on the page that hey, there's a
36:29high potential Christians can get those
36:31unclean spirits. And how do we get them
36:34out? The third the second mode of
36:36deliverance, the truth mode. The reason
36:38why I say that this doesn't work against
36:40a demon is because that works truth mode
36:42works with your thoughts and
36:44strongholds. It is powerless against an
36:46entity which only one name drives out
36:49the name of Jesus and only one method
36:51get it gets it out and it's a direct
36:53command to a demon. It's not that's why
36:56you saw what my wife mentioned what our
36:58ministers do is that we don't talk to
37:00God in front of a demon and say Lord God
37:03would you remove this because Lord we
37:04just don't want to touch the demon. We
37:06were given direct command to address the
37:08demon confront the demon and command it
37:10out but I don't know how to do it. You
37:12speak to a demon like it's a person
37:14right in front of you and you command it
37:16out.
37:17>> But what if it doesn't go? You keep
37:18speaking in the power of the Holy Spirit
37:19and it will come out. The third mode of
37:22deliverance and this is the one that is
37:24most practiced. You see it more on our
37:26encounters. You This is the reason why
37:28it's being done before we do deliverance
37:31services. We have what we would call
37:33pre- prayer counseling. We're not
37:35offering professional counseling. It's
37:36more pre- prayer preparation. This is
37:39mostly done in a lot of deliverance
37:41ministries who have you fill out like 40
37:43pages of questionnaire and that I would
37:46call it more of a legal mode. It's when
37:48you break the legal grounds, a lot of
37:52renouncing is done. A lot of
37:53unforgiveness is done and then people
37:56break oaths, break covenants because
37:59demons do work through those things.
38:01They break generational curses. So, so
38:04think of like a courtroom. And I'm not
38:05talking about um heavenly courts kind of
38:08a method of deliverance where you go
38:09into the heavenly courts. I'm talking
38:11about where you pretty much you legally
38:14break things through verbal confession
38:18and renouncing. And that is very
38:20powerful and is very necessary. It is
38:22part of deliverance. The problem though,
38:25if all you're doing is breaking legal
38:28contracts,
38:30but you're never commanding demons out,
38:32you're still not doing what you're
38:34supposed to do.
38:36>> It's very important. You can command
38:37demons out, but you got to break those
38:39contracts still. But that is not
38:41necessarily a deliverance. It's a
38:44preparation for deliverance. And then
38:46the last one, and that is the power
38:47encounter.
38:49And power encounter, power encounter or
38:51power mode. It's where Jesus commanded
38:55demons out. And you don't actually see
38:56Jesus doing a lot of breaking of curses.
38:59That's why people sometimes would come
39:00and they would say things like, you know
39:01what, I don't see Jesus doing any of
39:03this stuff that you guys are doing.
39:06First of all, we don't see every single
39:08thing written out of what Jesus did.
39:10Number one, and number two is that most
39:11of Jesus's deliverances were power
39:14encounters where the kingdom of God came
39:16on the scene and by the power of the
39:18Holy Spirit, demons were come out. When
39:20the power comes, they shiver, they yell,
39:25they scream, people vomit, people fall,
39:29people roll their eyes. Sometimes they
39:31go deaf, sometimes they go mute,
39:34sometimes crazy bizarre stuff happens,
39:36sometimes they levitate, sometimes they
39:38could manifest things in their hands
39:40that did not exist in the room. Stuff
39:42that could happen is just is just crazy
39:44outside of this world. Why? because
39:46another world comes into the room that
39:48begins to use the faculties of the
39:51physical being of a person and does
39:53whatever the heck they want. And so two
39:56kingdoms are at war. Power encounter is
39:59really hungry Jen's most public method.
40:03When we would meet privately,
40:05one-on-one, when people would do Zoom
40:07deliverances, it's a lot of times
40:09combined with that legal courtroom,
40:12breaking things, renouncing things, but
40:14it always leads to one thing. You will
40:16always see this on our services. We will
40:18never apologize for it. I don't care how
40:21many people make videos about us, make
40:23fun of us, but in the gospel, I see
40:26Jesus confronting demons head on
40:29publicly,
40:31>> right? What had happened on the street?
40:34On the street, in the synagogue, in the
40:36synagogue, in the house, in the house,
40:38somewhere in the garden, in the garden.
40:39We don't do it for a show. We don't do
40:41it for the camera. We don't do it for
40:43the views. We don't do it for the subs.
40:46We do it because the kingdom of God is
40:47making its entrance. We don't want to
40:49hide that. Let the power of God be seen.
40:51Let the captives be set free. Amen.
40:57Now that I did that introduction, let me
40:58just wrap it up.
41:01Seven signs you're called to deliverance
41:02ministry. Number one, you have a strong
41:05desire to see people set free. It's one
41:08of the clearest signs that you were
41:10called to do deliverance ministry is you
41:11have a burden. You literally you feel
41:14pain for people. You're hurting for
41:17those people who are suffering. You it
41:19just cannot leave you. This desire will
41:22drive you to study, come to deliverance
41:25school, to fast and to be trained
41:27because you know only God's power can
41:28set people free. And you do know that
41:30this desire is not an accidental thing.
41:33It's not because you just have a soft
41:34heart. It's because God is softening
41:36your heart to bring the captives to
41:38freedom. The second sign is that you've
41:41experienced deliverance yourself.
41:45>> Very rarely have I met somebody who went
41:49through deliverance who did not end up
41:50being used by God to deliver other
41:52people. Moses left Egypt and guess where
41:55God sent Moses?
41:57>> Back to Egypt.
41:59the guy who had a legion of demons who
42:01wanted to follow Jesus and join his
42:03disciplehip school and Jesus says, "No,
42:05you go back and you tell everybody what
42:08I did for you." Did you know that this
42:09guy's testimony only had one part? I had
42:12a lot of demons and Jesus set me free.
42:15>> That was the only testimony he had and
42:17that's the testimony this region needed.
42:18Number three, the third sign is that
42:20people manifest demons when you pray.
42:24That's a clear sign you're not crazy.
42:27You're called.
42:30You pray. You're not seeking a
42:32manifestation. You're simply praying for
42:34somebody. And can I just give you just a
42:36just a short word of advice. Um don't go
42:40rebuking demons at first when you're
42:42praying for somebody. Especially when
42:44they ask you to pray for something else.
42:45You just invite the Holy Spirit, invite
42:47the kingdom of God. But the moment the
42:49demons start to show their ugly face,
42:52you better go for the kill.
42:55>> Don't Don't leave them over there and
42:56say, "Uh, let me call Pastor Ilia and
42:58say what I do." No, no, no. You cast
43:00them out and don't say, "Hey, you know
43:02what? Our deliverance service is going
43:04to be a month from now." No, no. If they
43:06manifested, that that person is ready.
43:09>> That is your sign. God has ordained
43:12deliverance for that person. And you're
43:14the person God wants to use.
43:20Number four, you're experiencing
43:21manifestation of spiritual gifts. You
43:24get discernment, prophetic insight,
43:26healing, and you do have a very strong
43:28and bold faith. A lot of times these
43:30gifts, they're not required, but they
43:33are accompanying someone who is used by
43:35God to set the captives free. Number
43:38five, your spiritual authorities have
43:41confirmed the call
43:44to cast out demons. And sometimes they
43:47didn't just confirm, they commissioned
43:49you.
43:50>> If you come to this church or you come
43:52to any of our churches, I'm just going
43:53to tell you right away, you've been
43:55enlisted. It was written in a small
43:57print when you became a member.
44:02We also don't believe in low r lone
44:05ranger deliverance ministries.
44:07>> We are part of the community.
44:08Deliverance ministry could be very
44:10lonely. That's why we stick together.
44:12>> We stay with the church. We are not
44:15against the church. We love the church.
44:17We're part of the church and we bring
44:19the deliverance to the church and we
44:21take it from the church. Number six is
44:23you have a sense of spiritual authority.
44:26Not because you're cocky, not because
44:28you have a Bible degree, but because you
44:31have this a sense Jesus is greater. And
44:35even when demons mock you, and they will
44:37do that, and they will try to disorient
44:39you, especially during deliverance, you
44:41little boy, who do you think you are?
44:44You're nobody. Everybody trying to
44:46deliver me and and the demons will
44:47literally they will try to like Goliath
44:49say how great they are. And all you got
44:52to do is you can't fight the back. No,
44:53I'm greater than you. No, you're not.
44:56Don't don't don't fall into their pit.
44:59>> You stick with your authority. I like
45:00something that my wife shared that is
45:02also a very powerful key. Your boldness
45:06will grow with your assertness.
45:08The more assertive you are, the more
45:12bold you will feel. And the more you
45:15practice being assertive against an
45:18unclean spirit, the more experience you
45:21get, which gives you automatically a
45:24boost of confidence. First time it's
45:28scary, second time it's less scary,
45:31third time it's less scary. And then you
45:34do it more and you do it more and then
45:36you begin to walk and it just becomes
45:38just like praying for somebody who is
45:40sick. Just like telling somebody about
45:42the Lord Jesus Christ. It's it would be
45:44just become part of you and you're
45:46unafraid and they'll do all of their
45:49stuff right at you. The the the eyes
45:52will change. The demon will look right
45:53at your eyes. And first time that
45:55happens, every hair on your back on your
45:57body is going to go to
46:02and you will go
46:06You know, not the demon understands any
46:08of that,
46:11but it does help your Pentecostal soul
46:12to feel a little bit better.
46:15And somehow speaking in tonesues helps
46:17us to be a little bit more protected.
46:20But we don't speak in tonesues against
46:22the demon.
46:23>> That's not how they're cast out. Like,
46:25no, I'm going to speak in tones. Holy
46:26Spirit will cast them out. That's not
46:27how that works. You speak in tongues in
46:29your own private uh time of devotion.
46:31When you're dealing with the demon, you
46:33speak in the language that that demon
46:35needs to understand, which usually has
46:37to be the language that the person
46:38you're ministering to has to understand
46:40because the demon uses the faculties of
46:42that person. Number seven, a persistent
46:46called a persistent call despise of
46:49despite of resistance. Deliverance
46:51ministry is not glamorous. It will be
46:53resisted by demons, sometimes
46:55misunderstood by churches, and it will
46:58often be opposed by people. If you still
47:02cannot shake the call after you've been
47:05resisted, misunderstood, called with
47:07names,
47:09you've been called,
47:11>> you've been commissioned.
47:14[Applause]
47:18If your desire to please people and I'm
47:21going to just going to in conclusion
47:22share with you common pitfalls in
47:25deliverance ministry. Luke chapter 10 20
47:28nevertheless do not rejoice in this that
47:30the spirits are subject to you but
47:33rather rejoice that your names are
47:35written in heaven.
47:37>> The number one pit uh pitfall when you
47:40started
47:43is the fear of men.
47:45Not everyone will celebrate
47:49deliverance and this will be so painful
47:53if pleasing people is part of your
47:55weakness.
47:57Disappointing people is your biggest
48:00fear and struggle. This is going to come
48:02hard because I remember when we would
48:04experience and this we prayed for this
48:06for years and finally people are being
48:08set free and I remember how people we
48:12were rejoicing wanted to share. They
48:14looked at us as like
48:18we're like, "You don't understand. Like
48:19the kingdom of God is here." Like people
48:21like people are being actually set free.
48:23Healings are happening because these
48:25people are being set free. And they not
48:26only minimized it, they mocked it.
48:30And then comes the
48:32the weird ones. They are the weird ones.
48:35Then comes being cancelled by the
48:36Christian culture.
48:38If your idea is to be liked by everyone,
48:42please sell ice cream.
48:45>> Don't do deliverance.
48:50>> I had to go through this personal battle
48:52myself when our church started to become
48:55more exposed because of deliverance. And
48:59people who were demonized appreciated
49:01it. those who were not,
49:05they had different theories about it.
49:08And these theories started to circulate
49:10in the Slavic community. And I remember
49:13when somebody told me, they said,
49:15"Because of your position on
49:17deliverance, they wanted to invite you
49:19to this circle of ministers for
49:22different people to share their
49:24experience and you qualify. You were
49:25supposed to be there, but they said just
49:28kind of," he was trying to be really
49:30polite. He said, "They view you like a
49:32black sheep." And I was a lot younger in
49:36ministry at the time where what these
49:38people thought I did look up to them. It
49:41meant a lot to me and it hurt my
49:44feelings. It was Friday night prayer and
49:47I remember I was like maybe maybe I need
49:49to tone it down. Maybe I need to just
49:50call them and explain like I'm not
49:53weird. Maybe they'll understand. I'm
49:56normal. I'm not crazy. Nothing bad
49:59happened to me. I'm just I'm just trying
50:01to serve God. And at night prayer, I was
50:04we were praying at the time we had all
50:06night prayer meetings. And I still
50:07remember I see the image even right now.
50:09I was on the stage lying next to a
50:11piano. And I was saying, God
50:17ministry of why did you give us
50:20deliverance instead of healing?
50:23Healing is so popular.
50:26Everybody loves healing.
50:30What about prophecy?
50:32All the prophets are prosperous
50:38and all the deliverance people are just
50:40just weird.
50:43And we're in that category. God, I I
50:45don't want to be associated with that. I
50:47don't want I don't want to be called I
50:49don't want to be viewed like that. And
50:51right there as I'm lying and I'm
50:53complaining and I'm trying to figure out
50:54how to rationally redeem my image and my
50:58reputation,
50:59Holy Spirit spoke to me on that stage
51:02and he said when I anointed Saul to slay
51:06Amalachites
51:08and he was afraid of people
51:10he spared Amalachitis.
51:13He said, "I withdrew my anointing."
51:16And I felt God said, "I didn't give you
51:19anointing for your reputation."
51:23>> I gave anointing to break the yoke.
51:26>> You don't want to break yolks. You don't
51:28need it.
51:30>> Come on.
51:31>> And God says, "I will lift the anointing
51:33if you're ashamed of my Holy Spirit." He
51:37says, "But your calling will crush you."
51:40Wow.
51:41>> And I remember I wept on that stage and
51:43I said, "God, they can say whatever they
51:47want to say.
51:49>> I will love the Holy Spirit. I will
51:51never be ashamed of the Holy Spirit. And
51:54I will never be ashamed of the work of
51:56the Holy Spirit. And I will never be
51:58embarrassed of the people that God wants
52:01to set free. No matter what other people
52:04say, the fear of man has no hold on me."
52:07Can somebody say, "Amen."
52:09The second pitfall is when you walk in
52:12authority, but you're not walking in the
52:13intimacy with the Holy Spirit. You're
52:15not walking with the anointing. I do
52:17have to mention it. Matthew 7, it says,
52:19"In my name, we cast out demons, but
52:20Jesus says, "I didn't know you." And so,
52:23you can walk in authority and not walk
52:25in the anointing, not walk in that
52:27intimacy with the Holy Spirit. So, when
52:29when a demon comes out of a person, that
52:31is not an indication that you have an
52:33intimacy with the Holy Spirit. Do not
52:35ever treat that as a sign God is pleased
52:38with your life if God if you're not
52:39living in the way that honors the Lord.
52:42That is not a sign God will use you to
52:44deliver the captives because of mercy on
52:47that person in spite of you. That is not
52:50a sign that God is pleased with you.
52:52That's why always we aim to the way we
52:55strengthen our authority is by walking
52:58in intimacy with the Holy Spirit. We
53:00walk in the character pleasing the Holy
53:02Spirit. And so the authority is ours.
53:04But the way it gets stronger, the way it
53:06becomes sharper is not just when we
53:09learn about authority. It's when we
53:11strengthen ourselves in our intimacy
53:13with the Holy Spirit. And that the best
53:15way to do that is to seek to please him.
53:17Make it your aim not to be more
53:19powerful, but to be more pleasing. Don't
53:22ask the question, "How can I be more
53:24anointed? Ask the question, how can I be
53:26more pleasing to him?" When you seek to
53:28be more pleasing to him, he will
53:30increase the heat. He will increase the
53:32authority. He will strengthen you in
53:34that anointing. Amen. Number third uh
53:37thing and that is demonizing everything.
53:40A pitfall is demonizing everything
53:43and that is not every issue is a demon.
53:46Some things are flesh, some things are
53:48curses and some things are natural
53:50conditions. Let me just quickly briefly
53:51mention three things that some people
53:53confuse demons with. Number one is
53:55flesh. Flesh is not a demon, but if you
53:58yield it long enough, it will open the
54:00door to one. Flesh is a traitor inside
54:04who will work with the demons on the
54:06outside.
54:08I used the example yesterday at the
54:10grand opening uh grand opening at the
54:14pro prophesy prophesy. Um that's that's
54:16January. Um at the pre-release
54:20when I was in when we were in T cities.
54:22Um, I don't know. I did you ever do Did
54:24you ever do that when you where you uh
54:26went to bought one ticket to a movie
54:28theater and then like few other people
54:29got in through that ticket?
54:32No, I know some people did it. I I don't
54:34want to put you on the spot. Didn't want
54:36to tarnish the holy name of yours. Um,
54:38but we Let's just say me and I knew few
54:41people.
54:43I know Russians did it. I don't know if
54:44other people did it where uh on a budget
54:47we buy one ticket and then you get in
54:50and then um you would go on the open
54:52door and then you bring the rest of your
54:5420 people to get inside. Yeah. So think
54:58of a flesh. Flesh is the one that
55:00already has a ticket.
55:03You yield to the flesh long enough. It's
55:05not a demon. But you yield to the flesh
55:07long enough. It will open the door to
55:10one. Flesh is a traitor and it lives
55:13inside of you. And that traitor will
55:17betray you to who? Demons.
55:21So how do you differentiate if it's a
55:23flesh or a demon? Jesus says in dealing
55:26with lust, you got to remove your eye.
55:28Remove your hand. Meaning triggers,
55:30places, people, things that cause you to
55:33sin. How do you know when it's no longer
55:35a flesh but a demon? If you remove the
55:38eye meaning you remove that thing the
55:41trigger and something still sees that
55:44means another entity inside is now
55:46seeing even though there is no trigger
55:48points. If you remove the hand and
55:52something keeps handling that means an
55:54entity is now handling it without even
55:57the trigger places or things.
56:00When the flesh is just the flesh you
56:02crucify it it's done. When the flesh is
56:05not just the flesh but there is a
56:07marrying with the demon. You crucified
56:09the flesh things get more intensified
56:11not less. You know you probably have a
56:14company.
56:16>> The second difference not demonizing
56:18everything is that curses and demons.
56:20Curses are not demons but they provide
56:23legal grounds for demons to operate.
56:25Demons are persons without bodies.
56:28Curses are impersonal forces. They're
56:31negative spiritual pronouncements.
56:34that affect our lives and sometimes
56:36generations. This is how I like to say
56:38it. Curses give permission.
56:42Demons
56:44enforce the conditions of those curses.
56:46In fact, you will see in the Bible the
56:49person who pronounced the curse the most
56:51was God. Curse is the heavenly verdict.
56:56When you violate God's law,
56:58>> God pronounces it a curse.
57:03It happened on on the earth. We know
57:05that God cursed the ground. God, it's a
57:08pronouncement. Now, God is not the only
57:11one that pronounces it. Sometimes God's
57:13people in the Old Testament, Joshua,
57:14cursed Jericho. We see uh Jesus cursed
57:18the fig tree. Now, we're told not to
57:20curse our enemy. Some of you like, "Oh,
57:21yeah, great. I just discovered new
57:23power. Let me go and just curse
57:24everything."
57:26Jesus tells us not, that's not the power
57:28we are using to burn Samaria down. But
57:31the way curses work is that you hurt
57:33somebody or you do some harm. Sometimes
57:36they can open their mouth and they can
57:38pronounce something in your direction.
57:39Now what demons do is demons come and
57:43they take that and reinforce its
57:47conditions on your life. So that's why
57:50what happens many times we say things
57:51like we needed to break the curse. That
57:54pronouncement had to be broken. In many
57:56cases, at first, in almost every case,
57:59before we renounce, we repent. For
58:02whatever that brought that
58:04pronouncement, whether it was from God,
58:06whether it was from a person in
58:07authority, or whether it was from
58:09somebody that was bad, we repent so that
58:12there was no grounds for why that
58:14pronouncement, the judgment was
58:16released, a verdict was released, and
58:18then now demons have nothing to
58:21reinforce because the very thing that
58:23they had to reinforce is gone. So curses
58:26are not demons but demons are reinforces
58:28reinforcers of the conditions of the
58:31curses. And the last one is that
58:33disorders are not necessarily demons.
58:36Not every disorder is caused by a demon.
58:39Demons are persons. They're spirit
58:40beings. Disorders are impersonal
58:43conditions such as chemical imbalances
58:45or psychological struggles. Demons can
58:48exploit disorders, exaggerating them and
58:53pushing someone into a deep despair,
58:56confusion, and destructions. Disorders
58:58may respond if it's just a mental
59:01illness or if it's just a some kind of a
59:03brain disorder, something missing in
59:05chemical misbalance or something some
59:07kind of a a chemical is missing in their
59:09brain. It will respond to medicine,
59:12therapy, and care. Demons respond to
59:14prayer, authority, and deliverance in
59:16Jesus name. Sometimes, honestly, most of
59:19the time when we work with people, it's
59:22both.
59:23It's healing of the mind and the body,
59:25and it's driving out the spirits. In
59:27gospels, Jesus would sometimes cast out
59:29demons, and other times he he would heal
59:32uh people. And deliverance brings both
59:34the healing and the deliverance.
59:37Deliverance brings the deliverance from
59:39demons and the healing sometimes is
59:41still necessary. That's why we don't
59:43rush to cast out demons just because
59:45somebody has a physical manifestation. I
59:47remember one time when uh I was walking
59:51by and you know we had few of our very
59:53eager passionate ushers who were
59:55commanding out out of this lady and um
59:58so I come up to there and her husband is
59:59standing there kind of looking puzzled
1:00:01and so I asked him I said so this is
1:00:02your wife he says yes this is my wife
1:00:04and I said what is happening to her and
1:00:06he said she has seizures
1:00:10she has a brain tumor and anytime her
1:00:13eyes get exposed to flashing lights she
1:00:15goes into a seizure
1:00:17But see our ushers when deliverance is
1:00:19all you know anybody who twitches
1:00:24that's a demon.
1:00:26You blink the wrong wrong time.
1:00:30And our ushers know only one tool.
1:00:36I got you you unclean spirit.
1:00:41So we have to be very careful that we're
1:00:43not demon hungry. I mean, we're not
1:00:45demon trig demon trigger happy. We're
1:00:48constantly looking for that. And so I
1:00:50asked those uh ushers, I said, "Hey, you
1:00:52you got to you got to step away." And so
1:00:54we ministered to her. She come back to
1:00:55her senses. Eventually, she still needed
1:00:57she actually did need deliverance. But
1:00:58at that moment, she had a seizure. And
1:01:01so we have to be very careful that we
1:01:02don't rush and treat every single thing
1:01:04all the time. I know some deliverance
1:01:06ministers, some of them are my friends,
1:01:08who treat every mental illness as a
1:01:10demon. At Hungry Jen, we don't subscribe
1:01:12to that view. Though some people have
1:01:14both, they need prayer and they need uh
1:01:17medical support. We also don't tell
1:01:20anyone to stop taking medication without
1:01:23medical supervision. Let me just say
1:01:25that one more time. If you minister to
1:01:28somebody and they had suicidal
1:01:30tendencies after deliverance, they said,
1:01:33"I feel completely free. I don't have
1:01:35any suicidal thoughts. I feel so light,
1:01:38light as a feather. Oh, I was on this
1:01:40heavy medication. 10 tablets I was
1:01:43taking every single day. I'm going to go
1:01:45ahead and flush them down the toilet.
1:01:48Now, the charismatic part of you is
1:01:50going to be like, "Praise the Lord.
1:01:51Let's record a video and post it on
1:01:53Instagram."
1:01:55And then you're going to go to jail
1:01:58because even if they got truly set free,
1:02:01the repercussions of stopping cold
1:02:03turkey, some heavy medication, could
1:02:05have very bad effects and you will
1:02:07become liable. And so therefore, we did
1:02:10not prescribe the medication. We don't
1:02:13tell them to get off of the meds. We
1:02:15always tell them after they got set free
1:02:17and they were on some heavy medication,
1:02:19you need to go back to your doctor.
1:02:21>> And if you're truly free and healed,
1:02:25he will help you to win off. And if your
1:02:27doctor is one of those who wants to keep
1:02:30you medicated for the rest of your life,
1:02:31there are other doctors you can go to
1:02:33who will help you to get off of this
1:02:37slowly. It's not going to diminish your
1:02:39faith or testimony because you getting
1:02:42off of these meds slower. Why? Because
1:02:45your body got used to this dose. You
1:02:47might be completely healed, but because
1:02:49you still had this dose and you were
1:02:52taking that. Now, can God supernaturally
1:02:53take care of that? 150%. But we must
1:02:56understand God also didn't just give us
1:02:59supernatural power. He also gave us
1:03:01supernatural wisdom.
1:03:03>> And we need both. How do we
1:03:06differentiate between demons and
1:03:07disorders? There's few practical things
1:03:09we can keep in mind. Typically, people
1:03:11with illnesses, mental illnesses, they
1:03:14have attraction to Christ. Demons have
1:03:17aversion to Christ.
1:03:19People with mental illnesses typically
1:03:21speak with
1:03:24disorganized, inconherent speech. Demons
1:03:28usually speak with rational clarity.
1:03:31Also, demons can reveal hidden
1:03:34knowledge. People with disorders cannot.
1:03:37With the phenomena, demons can manifest
1:03:39supernaturally. Sometimes right during
1:03:42deliverance, levitate and crazy
1:03:43strength. Six people can hold a tiny
1:03:46little girl. People with disorders, they
1:03:49don't have those abilities. Secrecy.
1:03:51Demons usually hide. Mentally ill
1:03:54individuals openly claim possession. And
1:03:58many people fall for that because when
1:04:00somebody's mentally ill and they claim
1:04:02possession or they claim I'm owned by a
1:04:03demon, everybody's like, "Oh, it must be
1:04:05true." They love to claim uh possession
1:04:08versus demons, they love to be secretive
1:04:10about their indwelling in the person,
1:04:13unless of course exposed by the power of
1:04:14the Holy Spirit. And then treatment. If
1:04:17medicine helps, it most likely was just
1:04:19an illness. If deliverance brings
1:04:21freedom, it was most likely demonic. The
1:04:24fifth thing is confusion between angels,
1:04:26demons, and principalities during
1:04:28deliverance. And this is what we teach
1:04:30at Hungry Jen. I understand some of you
1:04:31may not share this the same practices,
1:04:33and we can agree to disagree, but you're
1:04:36wrong and we are right.
1:04:41We don't command angels, we command
1:04:43demons. Scripture does tell us that God
1:04:46commands angels, not us. We pray to God,
1:04:49he dispatches angels. Angels are not
1:04:52your staff. You don't bust them around.
1:04:54Angels hearken to the voice of God. They
1:04:57don't hearken necessarily to your voice.
1:04:58So, a lot of people like during
1:05:00deliverance, they will speak to angels
1:05:02like to some Aaron boy. Uh, come over
1:05:04here. Angel, come over here. First of
1:05:06all,
1:05:08angels assist us in deliverance, but our
1:05:10greatest help in deliverance is the Holy
1:05:12Spirit. And he is God. Angels work for
1:05:15the Holy Spirit, not the other way
1:05:16around. The other part, and this gets
1:05:18pretty controversial, but I'm just going
1:05:20to say it just just briefly, is we teach
1:05:23our congregation and our ministers, that
1:05:26is to cast demons out of people and
1:05:28leave principalities in heavenly places
1:05:32alone. The way we attack the
1:05:35principalities is by weakening their
1:05:37grip over a territory, by winning souls,
1:05:40making disciples, healing the sick,
1:05:42driving out demons out of people. Jesus
1:05:45will come one day and he will dethrone
1:05:47every single thing that is still in the
1:05:50heavenlies. We were given authority to
1:05:53trample on demons underfoot, not on
1:05:57principalities in the air. Now a lot of
1:06:01intercession movement in the world today
1:06:04mainly coming from the United States
1:06:07involves binding regional demons,
1:06:09closing portals, finding highest place
1:06:12in your city and doing all kinds of ju
1:06:14guu stuff to close the portals, open
1:06:17another portal and all of this stuff.
1:06:19And if that's what you are into, good
1:06:22luck.
1:06:25There will be repercussions for that.
1:06:28Many people experience those things and
1:06:30I have met so many people who do that.
1:06:34They usually suffer heavy repercussions.
1:06:38Partially is because I believe and this
1:06:41is not just me but quite few different
1:06:42deliverance ministers will also confirm
1:06:45that you and I are not authorized to go
1:06:47upstairs.
1:06:49You were given authority to get demons
1:06:51out of people. Stay with that. Get
1:06:54demons out of people. Set people free.
1:06:56the you want to weaken the authority in
1:06:59the heavenlies,
1:07:01get more people on Jesus's team.
1:07:04>> Jesus, you never see Jesus going over
1:07:06Jerusalem and binding a principality
1:07:08over Jerusalem. Even Daniel, he was
1:07:11fasting and praying, not binding the
1:07:13principality over Persia. Paul, when he
1:07:16says how to pray for the kings, he
1:07:17didn't say bind the principality over
1:07:19Rome. And so, we see that Jesus tells
1:07:21disciples, go into all the world. He
1:07:23didn't say and bind the principality. He
1:07:25says, "Win souls and make disciples." I
1:07:27just say, "Listen, there's plenty of
1:07:29demons to go around.
1:07:31>> Let's focus on the job at hand."
1:07:34>> Because if you step out of that, mark my
1:07:37word, you're not going to be doing
1:07:39deliverance on people. You will be
1:07:40dealing with heavy repercussions. A lot
1:07:43of people testify of that and I can go
1:07:45into that and and we can debate about
1:07:46that till the second coming of Jesus
1:07:48Christ. But if you want to do
1:07:49deliverance and you want to stay saved,
1:07:52just stick with what is clear. Let's
1:07:54just say that this part of attacking
1:07:55principalities, you say, "Well, I can
1:07:57take the scripture Ephesians chapter 6
1:07:58and and etc." And and we can argue about
1:08:01the context of all of that. But the
1:08:03point being this, you don't really find
1:08:05overwhelming evidence in the New
1:08:06Testament where Christians are called to
1:08:08go upstairs and close portals, open
1:08:10portals. But you will find overwhelming
1:08:13evidence for Christians to go across the
1:08:14street and tell their neighbor about
1:08:17Jesus, witness to people, pray for
1:08:19healing, do deliverance on people, plant
1:08:22churches, build strong families. That we
1:08:25have overwhelming evidence and we agree.
1:08:27Amen.
1:08:28And last thing and this is the last of
1:08:31the last thing, the end of the last
1:08:33thing. Traditions of men is what will
1:08:37weaken the deliverance ministry and
1:08:38traditions of men come in the forms of
1:08:40teaching and they come in the teachings
1:08:42like these. Christians cannot have
1:08:44demons. Another teaching that traditions
1:08:46false traditions will hinder deliverance
1:08:48is interrogating a demon equals having a
1:08:52conversation with the demon. And this is
1:08:54popular online today from people who
1:08:56walk around and claim we believe in
1:08:58deliverance. And those who actually do
1:09:00and they will say I believe in
1:09:01deliverance. I just don't believe in
1:09:03giving a microphone to a demon. Now
1:09:07because Jesus said
1:09:10to a demon who was speaking be silent.
1:09:14Always read the Bible in context.
1:09:17In those scriptures you find Jesus
1:09:19telling a demon be silent. Read after
1:09:22that. Jesus tells a leper, "Don't tell
1:09:26anybody."
1:09:29Read the context. Jesus did not want
1:09:31demons to be his evangelists.
1:09:34And at that time, he didn't even want
1:09:36lepers to tell anybody about him. So,
1:09:39but there is an instance where Jesus did
1:09:42allow a demon to speak up after he told
1:09:46the demon to leave and it was obvious
1:09:47the demon didn't leave. So, Jesus
1:09:49confronted and said, "No, what is your
1:09:51name?" So our practice and you'll hear a
1:09:54lot more about that in details tomorrow.
1:09:56But our practice is this. If the demon
1:09:58is stubborn, we don't have a
1:10:00conversation. This is not a coffee date.
1:10:04It's an interrogation
1:10:06where we ask very simple few question.
1:10:08Who are you? How did you enter this
1:10:10person? Or what have you done to this
1:10:12person? And then we command that demon
1:10:14to come out. This helps a person then to
1:10:17know what they did. It brings the fear
1:10:19of God for the rest of the congregation.
1:10:21And it is something that Jesus did. We
1:10:24see at least one instance. But I can
1:10:26tell you that this was not just one
1:10:28instance because this was a practice in
1:10:30Jesus's ministry. Now is this. We let
1:10:32demons take us on bunny trails and we
1:10:34ask them say, "So how many demons can
1:10:36dance on the edge of a needle?
1:10:40Demons, can you tell us that Adam had a
1:10:42belly button or not? We don't seek
1:10:45secret knowledge. We don't go on bunny
1:10:47trails or like I saw one pastor did a
1:10:49interrogation. A demon is speaking. He
1:10:51said, "Is this pastor?" And he names the
1:10:53pastor in the deliverance. "Is this
1:10:55pastor from your kingdom?" I'm like,
1:10:57"What does this have to do with
1:10:58deliverance?"
1:11:00And so, and he's doing that on purpose.
1:11:02Why? Because he doesn't like that
1:11:03pastor. So, he wants the demon to
1:11:05confirm that that pastor belongs to
1:11:08their kingdom. And of course, now the
1:11:10moment you went on this bunny trail,
1:11:12you're you're now susceptible to lying
1:11:14spirits. And then the rest of the church
1:11:16is listening to all this just this bunch
1:11:18of garbage. And so we don't do that kind
1:11:21of stuff. This is not a show for a
1:11:23demon. But there are times we will
1:11:25confront the demon with an interrogation
1:11:27as part of the tools in our toolbox to
1:11:30get them out. So this teaching that goes
1:11:32around that says absolutely under no
1:11:34circumstance demon should never speak
1:11:35because they're always lying spirits.
1:11:37Find me one place in the New Testament
1:11:39where demon under the fire of the Holy
1:11:42Spirit in the name of Jesus lied not
1:11:44once. They are lying spirits. when
1:11:47they're interrogated,
1:11:49they're forced to tell the truth.
1:11:52>> Another traditional teaching is that if
1:11:54you pray for deliverance, demons will
1:11:55jump from one person to another.
1:11:58There's many open doors to demons.
1:12:00Seeing deliverance is not one of them.
1:12:02>> Come on.
1:12:04>> There's many open doors to getting
1:12:07uh sick. There's many ways to get sick.
1:12:09Seeing somebody get healed and get well
1:12:11is not one of the ways to get sick.
1:12:13>> Come on now. There's many ways to fall
1:12:16into sin. Experiencing somebody getting
1:12:18saved is not one of them. Like that's
1:12:20just total nonsense. Where would you
1:12:21even get that idea? So that is not
1:12:24biblical.
1:12:26Witnessing deliverance is dangerous
1:12:27because it can cause you to get a demon.
1:12:29That's another one which is not true.
1:12:31And this is a big one. After
1:12:33deliverance,
1:12:35you'll get seven more demons if you're
1:12:37not filled.
1:12:39Now I understand the scripture Matthew
1:12:4112. But Jesus taught in that scripture
1:12:44the demon left not that it was cast out.
1:12:47There's a difference between a demon
1:12:49leaving on its own and person
1:12:51experiencing temporary relief an example
1:12:53of soul and demon being kicked out. I
1:12:56believe in Matthew 12 and not only me
1:12:58but quite a few people would agree that
1:13:00the scripture for demon leaving the word
1:13:02leaving there is never used for the
1:13:04demon being cast out. So think of this.
1:13:06I left my house uh yes uh yesterday
1:13:09morning. I wasn't kicked out of my
1:13:11house.
1:13:12>> I'm coming back tomorrow.
1:13:15But wait, if I would get evicted from my
1:13:17house, I'm not coming back.
1:13:20>> So when a demon leaves a person, okay, a
1:13:23person experiences temporary relief, a
1:13:25person can get their life organized when
1:13:28the demon is no longer tormenting them.
1:13:30Beautiful example of that is King Saul.
1:13:32Demons would come. He would do crazy
1:13:34stuff. demons would leave, not get cast
1:13:37out, then put out a relief. Because a
1:13:40person that's that's constantly
1:13:41demonized, even those who experience
1:13:43nightmares, still experience at least
1:13:45one night of peaceful sleep.
1:13:47Rarely, unless it's a severe case where
1:13:50it's constantly all the time, there's
1:13:51still relief. And that relief, the demon
1:13:54leaves, and then they would come back
1:13:56because they have that access. And so, a
1:13:58person can finally get their life in
1:14:00order. So to tell someone using this
1:14:02verse, this is this is how it goes. You
1:14:05got delivered.
1:14:07If you're not going to be filled,
1:14:10all this torment you had, multiply it by
1:14:12seven. Now, if I'm the person getting
1:14:15delivered, I would say, "Let me just
1:14:17keep the demon I'm used to,
1:14:20the one I have coping mechanisms I've
1:14:22developed with already, and the one my
1:14:25therapist gave a mental disorder label
1:14:28to already, and the ones I have
1:14:30medication for.
1:14:32Why? I domesticated that guy. I can live
1:14:37with him." But seven more of that stuff.
1:14:39Yeah, let me just keep the one at least
1:14:40I know.
1:14:42It's pretty scary. I would rather not be
1:14:44delivered at all just so I could keep
1:14:47one demon instead of seven. I don't We
1:14:49don't teach that. We teach when whom the
1:14:51son sets free is free indeed.
1:14:53>> Now, can you potentially go back and do
1:14:55the same stupid thing that you did in
1:14:57the first place? Yeah. But we're like
1:14:59Israel coming out of Egypt, Pharaoh will
1:15:01try to get you back to the same old sin.
1:15:03No, you keep marching forward. Don't go
1:15:05back. When you when you when when you
1:15:07get delivered, don't go back. You just
1:15:09go forward. But this idea that just
1:15:11because you don't feel filled, I mean
1:15:13honestly, let's face it, how many of us
1:15:15all the time feel filled, not always. My
1:15:18car right now is completely empty. I can
1:15:20guarantee you just because my car
1:15:22doesn't have me sitting there, it did
1:15:24not make flies get inside.
1:15:27Being empty is not an open door.
1:15:31>> Sin and a cult, generational curses,
1:15:33trauma, abuse are open doors. Feeling
1:15:35empty is not an open door.
1:15:38All of us go through seasons and times
1:15:40where we just feel a little bit empty.
1:15:42>> That does not make you vulnerable for
1:15:44seven times more demons coming in.
1:15:47>> Amen.
1:15:52>> And the traditional teaching that goes
1:15:54like this, if you join deliverance
1:15:56ministry, you will always be under
1:15:58attack.
1:15:59I have a whole teaching on that. Will
1:16:01not present it here. But we uh teach
1:16:03people that it is possible that demons
1:16:05can attack. A lot of times it's not
1:16:07necessarily demons as much as people who
1:16:09have mental illnesses and demons that
1:16:11could throw a swing at you. That's why
1:16:13we we have ushers to help us. And once
1:16:15in a while you get battle scars and you
1:16:17know few few punches to the camera into
1:16:20the to the gut. That's that comes with
1:16:22territory. Um and sometimes we get sick.
1:16:25Why? Because if you lay hands on 20
1:16:28people or 30 people and some people come
1:16:30to church sick and they don't practice,
1:16:33you know, isolation, they come back
1:16:36pastor, pray for me.
1:16:39I have co
1:16:43I believe in healing. I was like, I
1:16:45don't
1:16:47I'm like, I believe in quarantine, being
1:16:49quarantined,
1:16:51you know, and and sometimes you get like
1:16:53the the third person you pray for and
1:16:56you know, they're you're fine and then
1:16:57by the fifth person and you get COVID
1:17:00and or you get sick or you get whatever
1:17:02fever. And so that's normal. That's one
1:17:04of the reasons why you'll notice when we
1:17:05would do a larger conferences, we have a
1:17:07person walking behind us with the
1:17:08sanitizer
1:17:10for the sake of the people we're
1:17:12praying, not just for ourselves. We we
1:17:13wouldn't mind having 3 days of getting
1:17:15sick afterwards to to sleep it off, but
1:17:18it's the person that we're going to pray
1:17:19for. So, we would go like we would turn
1:17:21around, we would sanitize our hands and
1:17:22and keep going for the sake of the
1:17:24person because, you know, people all
1:17:25kinds of people come to church. We carry
1:17:27all kinds of sicknesses and but we would
1:17:28risk our life to to pray for as many
1:17:31people as we possibly can. But this idea
1:17:33that if you do ministry of deliverance,
1:17:34you will constantly have car breakdowns,
1:17:36your kids will get sick, you will end up
1:17:38in ERS just because the devil is
1:17:40attacking you. We believe that as a
1:17:42default belief, we don't subscribe to
1:17:43that because we believe Jesus says, "I
1:17:45will give you authority. Nothing shall
1:17:47by any means hurt you."
1:17:49>> So does it mean that gives us we have to
1:17:51be careless? Doesn't mean we walk around
1:17:52like, "Yeah, this is easy. This is piece
1:17:54of cake." No. This is a very serious
1:17:56business. This is very we're dealing
1:17:58with real entities. We're dealing with
1:17:59powerful sources. But if God g can save
1:18:02you 15% or more and ensures Jesus
1:18:04protects you 100%. Put your hand upon
1:18:06your heart. I just pray that things we
1:18:08learn today, the Holy Spirit will help
1:18:09to make sense of them. Jesus, we thank
1:18:12you that you came on this earth and
1:18:16you were the one that crushed the head
1:18:17of the snake. You were the one that
1:18:19disarmed principalities and powers,
1:18:22triumphing over them publicly. Jesus,
1:18:24you were the one that took all the
1:18:26authority from Satan and you told us,
1:18:27"Now go into all the world because
1:18:30principalities have been disarmed."
1:18:32Meaning, we have the green light to tell
1:18:34the world about Jesus. We have the green
1:18:36light to win our cities for Christ. We
1:18:37have the green light to go to schools.
1:18:39We have the green light to deliver
1:18:41captives. We have the green light to
1:18:43pray for the sick. We have the green
1:18:44light to move on this earth with your
1:18:47permission. We have the green slip. We
1:18:50have that permission. We have your
1:18:52permit from you to move forward in your
1:18:55kingdom. Jesus, I pray for every
1:18:57warrior, every minister, every person
1:18:59that this ministry somehow got they got
1:19:02intrigued by it. Maybe they went through
1:19:04freedom themselves. Perhaps there's this
1:19:06burning desire to learn and not only to
1:19:09learn so they can acquire knowledge, but
1:19:11so they can practice so they can help
1:19:13the hurting people. I pray that at today
1:19:15as it only begun that tomorrow that
1:19:19layer upon layer lies, traditional
1:19:21things that maybe have held them back
1:19:24from moving in the fullness of
1:19:26deliverance, fullness of the Holy
1:19:28Spirit's anointing. May there be
1:19:30released into the harvest field. May
1:19:33they be an army that you are wishing to
1:19:35unleash into their communities, into
1:19:38their churches, God, and into their
1:19:40generation. I pray for them, Lord, and I
1:19:42declare they are raised to deliver.
1:19:46>> Amen.
