1. 0:04I mean you can't really describe it in
2. 0:05words but it was absolutely amazing I
3. 0:07mean after two and a half years three
4. 0:10years of of really hard
5. 0:13work training it was amazing to finally
6. 0:17step out onto that court and uh onto
7. 0:20that court in my hometown in front of my
8. 0:22family and friends you know it's it's
9. 0:25like all the hard work's been been worth
10. 0:27it never ever in my world dreams did I
11. 0:31ever think that I would be in this
12. 0:33position um
13. 0:37and the 6th of July and the 7th of July
14. 0:396th of July as you said London
15. 0:41celebrating that London won the Olympic
16. 0:44bid you know all I kept thinking about
17. 0:46that day was how am I going to get
18. 0:47tickets for this how am I going to get
19. 0:48tickets for this um and then the 7th of
20. 0:51July obviously being caught up in the
21. 0:54awful um bombing attacks in in London um
22. 0:58I would have never ever ever thought
23. 1:00that I I would be on this journey and uh
24. 1:04be living this dream really and um to me
25. 1:07now those those two days are are
26. 1:09definitely connected and I've got no
27. 1:11idea whether it's just coincidence or
28. 1:14whether it's Destiny or whether it's
29. 1:16fate I mean I I do truly believe in my
30. 1:19heart that it is Destiny and that I was
31. 1:22always me meant to make this journey and
32. 1:25uh coming out on court today finally to
33. 1:28represent my country
34. 1:30um you know in an event that is so
35. 1:34connected with how I lost my legs uh was
36. 1:38was an absolute dream come true and
37. 1:39obviously very symbolic I mean obviously
38. 1:42today you know I am an athlete you know
39. 1:45and my focus is to do as well as I I can
40. 1:48on court um and that's what my job was
41. 1:52but when you've got that support behind
42. 1:54you all you can do is you know do your
43. 1:58best and and Excel really because of
44. 2:00just that support so I just thank
45. 2:02everyone at home for that
46. 2:06support
