1. 0:04i mean you can't really describe it in
2. 0:05words but it was absolutely amazing i
3. 0:07mean after
4. 0:09two and a half years three years of
5. 0:11really hard work
6. 0:13uh and training it was amazing to
7. 0:15finally
8. 0:17step out onto that court and uh onto
9. 0:20that court in my hometown in front of my
10. 0:22family and friends you know it's it's
11. 0:25like all the hard work's been been worth
12. 0:27it
13. 0:28never ever in my wildest dreams did i
14. 0:30ever think that i would be in this
15. 0:32position um
16. 0:35and
17. 0:36you know now those two days the 6th of
18. 0:38july and the 7th of july 6th of july as
19. 0:41you said london celebrating that london
20. 0:43won the olympic bid you know all i kept
21. 0:45thinking about that day was how am i
22. 0:47going to get tickets to this how am i
23. 0:48going to get tickets to this um and then
24. 0:50the 7th of july obviously being caught
25. 0:52up in the
26. 0:53awful um bombing attacks in in london um
27. 0:58i would have never ever thought that i i
28. 1:01would
29. 1:02be on this journey and uh be living this
30. 1:04dream really and
31. 1:07to me now those those two days are
32. 1:09definitely connected and i've got no
33. 1:11idea whether it's just
34. 1:13coincidence or whether it's destiny or
35. 1:16whether it's fate i mean i
36. 1:18i do truly believe in my heart that it
37. 1:20is destiny and that
38. 1:22i was always meant to make this journey
39. 1:24and
40. 1:25coming out on court today finally
41. 1:28to represent my country
42. 1:30um
43. 1:31you know
44. 1:32in an event that is so connected with
45. 1:35how i lost my legs
46. 1:37was was an absolute dream come true and
47. 1:39obviously very symbolic
48. 1:41i mean obviously today
49. 1:43you know i am an athlete you know and my
50. 1:45focus is to do
51. 1:47as well as i i can on court
52. 1:49um
53. 1:50and that's what my job was but when
54. 1:53you've got that support behind you all
55. 1:55you can do is you know
56. 1:57do your best and excel really because of
57. 2:00just that support so i just thank
58. 2:02everyone at home for that support
