  1. 0:00hi guys welcome back to my channel this
  2. 0:02is indy rn your nurse in charge and on
  3. 0:05this video we are going to talk about
  4. 0:08the processes of copar faces
  5. 0:11we mentioned in the last video that
  6. 0:13copar stands for community organizing
  7. 0:16participatory action research and there
  8. 0:19are emphasis on this copar phases first
  9. 0:23one as we mentioned in the last video is
  10. 0:25that should work in order to solve their
  11. 0:28own problems and the direction is
  12. 0:30internal rather than external
  13. 0:32development of the capacity to establish
  14. 0:34a project is more important than the
  15. 0:37project and there is a consciousness
  16. 0:38raising with regard to the solution of
  17. 0:41healthcare delivery within the total
  18. 0:43structure of the society as we mentioned
  19. 0:45from the last video the nurse in copper
  20. 0:48process or in copper technique is that
  21. 0:50they are the facilitator but the work
  22. 0:53should be coming from the people
  23. 0:54involved or the people from the
  24. 0:56community and in order for the community
  25. 0:58to become self-reliant from the problems
  26. 1:00that they have they should have the
  27. 1:02basic interest in helping each other
  28. 1:05towards their goal and the evaluation
  29. 1:08actions setting of goals must be coming
  30. 1:10from the people and here in the co-park
  31. 1:13we are also going to discuss the copar
  32. 1:15phases of processes and actually we have
  33. 1:18six steps here or six phases here and we
  34. 1:22have the mnemonics p dots p e b o c s in
  35. 1:26its phase we are going to discuss the
  36. 1:28steps being done
  37. 1:30are you excited before we're going to
  38. 1:32start please don't forget to click like
  39. 1:34comment and subscribe on my channel and
  40. 1:36might as well clicking that bell button
  41. 1:38so that you you're going to be updated
  42. 1:40on whatever upload that i'm going to
  43. 1:41take first let's have the intro
  44. 1:45[Music]
  45. 1:59as we discussed from the last video the
  46. 2:01cobar is a continuous and sustained
  47. 2:04process of educating the people to let
  48. 2:06them understand and develop their
  49. 2:08critical awareness of their existing
  50. 2:10condition that means people needs to
  51. 2:12utilize their human and material
  52. 2:15resources that they have in the
  53. 2:16community in order for them to become a
  54. 2:18self-reliant community and the nurse is
  55. 2:21going to help them in order for them to
  56. 2:23achieve the self-reliant community so
  57. 2:26the nurse here in the cooper process is
  58. 2:28the facilitator okay so let's discuss
  59. 2:31the six phases of copper
  60. 2:34the first one is three and three phase
  61. 2:36here in the pre-entry it is actually the
  62. 2:38initial phase of organizing process
  63. 2:40where the organizer looks for
  64. 2:42communities to serve or to help and also
  65. 2:45this phase is considered as the simplest
  66. 2:47phase in terms of actual outputs
  67. 2:50activities and strategies as well as the
  68. 2:52time spent because in this phase we are
  69. 2:55going to have the activities and there
  70. 2:58is the mnemonics see syn see for
  71. 3:00community consultations or dialogues
  72. 3:03related to the site selection i for
  73. 3:05issue checking s for site selection i
  74. 3:08for investigation so in here we're doing
  75. 3:10the preliminary social investigation or
  76. 3:13the psi and the last one is departmental
  77. 3:16networking or connecting to lgu ngo and
  78. 3:20others so to further help you in
  79. 3:22pre-entry we have the mnemonics see sid
  80. 3:25see like you are going to check the
  81. 3:27status of the community if they are
  82. 3:29actually good for the criteria or they
  83. 3:31pass the criteria and we are going to
  84. 3:34check for site selection just remember
  85. 3:36the word see using for the eyes and sid
  86. 3:39going deeply but in here we are just
  87. 3:42doing see sid you are not yet with the
  88. 3:45community you did not start yet so you
  89. 3:48are still checking if the community has
  90. 3:50the criteria of selection
  91. 3:53what do we mean by community
  92. 3:54consultations in here we are actually
  93. 3:57doing some talks related to the site
  94. 4:00selection in your organization you
  95. 4:02should have this established criteria
  96. 4:05already and you already discussed this
  97. 4:07criteria with your team so in here in
  98. 4:10the community consultations you are
  99. 4:12actually designing a plan for the
  100. 4:14community development which includes all
  101. 4:16the activities and strategies for the
  102. 4:19care development and this plan must be
  103. 4:21approved by your organization
  104. 4:24the next one is i issue checking in here
  105. 4:27setting of issues or considerations
  106. 4:29related to the site selection is being
  107. 4:32considered or being checked okay like
  108. 4:34the social economic status of the
  109. 4:37community we mentioned from the last
  110. 4:38video that the community must be d.o
  111. 4:43depressed exploited and oppressed
  112. 4:45sectors from the community okay so they
  113. 4:48are the depressed and undeserved
  114. 4:50community with majority of the
  115. 4:52population belonging to the poor sector
  116. 4:54okay that is the one you are checking
  117. 4:56here the issue checking the next one
  118. 4:58here in the issue checking is that we
  119. 5:00are also going to check for their health
  120. 5:02services if it is inaccessible is this
  121. 5:05community having a problem about mobile
  122. 5:08like transportation going to the health
  123. 5:11centers or the nearest hospital
  124. 5:14something like that okay next one here
  125. 5:16in the issue checking is that is the
  126. 5:17community poor in health status okay you
  127. 5:20need to check those also and is the area
  128. 5:23having peace and order of course you
  129. 5:25also need to check for your safety as
  130. 5:27the facilitator and the the community
  131. 5:29that you need to choose should have a
  132. 5:31good piece and order okay and the last
  133. 5:34one here in the issue checking is that
  134. 5:36the interest of the community are the
  135. 5:38people from the community accepting the
  136. 5:40program if they are not accepting the
  137. 5:42program then that's a big issue as we
  138. 5:45mentioned from the last video the
  139. 5:46community should have the basic interest
  140. 5:50okay got it
  141. 5:51now let's move to the site selection
  142. 5:53here in the site selection we are going
  143. 5:56to consider some things here it is not
  144. 5:58because the community is qualified for
  145. 6:01dio or the depressed exploited and
  146. 6:03oppressed community they are already
  147. 6:05okay we have some criteria here in site
  148. 6:08selection like the initial networking
  149. 6:10with the local government are the local
  150. 6:12government officials actually
  151. 6:14considering this co-part to be
  152. 6:16introduced to them is this community
  153. 6:18having peace and order are the community
  154. 6:21safe and if you're going to enter the
  155. 6:23community are you going to be safe also
  156. 6:25those are some of the site selection
  157. 6:27criteria but you guys need to check in
  158. 6:29that community of course here in the
  159. 6:31site selection you are going to do some
  160. 6:34ocular survey prior to the entry of your
  161. 6:37copart in that community okay
  162. 6:40the next one is investigation here in
  163. 6:42the investigation it is only preliminary
  164. 6:45okay preliminary social investigation
  165. 6:48meaning to say you are not yet doing
  166. 6:50some deep investigation here it's just
  167. 6:52preliminary it's like in the epidermal
  168. 6:55layer of your skin only okay so you need
  169. 6:57to consider the using of data here the
  170. 7:00secondary use of data from various
  171. 7:02governmental officials particularly
  172. 7:05maybe in the provincial health office or
  173. 7:07from the rhu you can also use the
  174. 7:09secondary data from other
  175. 7:11community-based health programs you need
  176. 7:13to check if there is already an
  177. 7:15organization with extension workers from
  178. 7:17both government organizations and ngos
  179. 7:20because if there is already the
  180. 7:22coordination of the community from other
  181. 7:25ngos ngos then a conflict of interest
  182. 7:28might happen if you are going to jump in
  183. 7:31in that community without checking it
  184. 7:33moreover here in the preliminary social
  185. 7:36investigation or psi you need to conduct
  186. 7:38ocular observations noting the
  187. 7:41accessibility geography terrain
  188. 7:43settlement patterns and available
  189. 7:45physical resources as i've mentioned
  190. 7:48earlier you also need to check if the
  191. 7:50community is having a good access for
  192. 7:52health services because if not then
  193. 7:55co-park can be introduced in that
  194. 7:57community because they really need help
  195. 7:59do not forget that here in the pre
  196. 8:01interface you are only checking the
  197. 8:03overview of the community you are not
  198. 8:05yet going deeply in your investigation
  199. 8:08because you are not yet still with the
  200. 8:10community okay and the last one here in
  201. 8:13pre-interface is departmental networking
  202. 8:16wherein you need to have a link to the
  203. 8:18local government units or lgu's ngos and
  204. 8:21other departments that can help you soon
  205. 8:24in the faces of copart okay remember
  206. 8:26here in the pre-interface it is done
  207. 8:28before going to the community and
  208. 8:30remember the mnemonics see sid always
  209. 8:33remember your eyes okay
  210. 8:36the next one is the entry phase wherein
  211. 8:38we have activities also here and as i've
  212. 8:41mentioned earlier in the pre-interface
  213. 8:43we are not yet going deeply with the
  214. 8:45community but in here in the interface
  215. 8:47we are already digging i stands for you
  216. 8:50as anirus and dig okay remember the
  217. 8:53mnemonics i dig i dig some information
  218. 8:56i'm checking some information so
  219. 8:57remember the word i dig okay and here in
  220. 9:00i dig i stands for integration with
  221. 9:03community residents d stands for
  222. 9:06deepening social investigation i stands
  223. 9:09for information dissemination and g
  224. 9:12stands for group or core formation okay
  225. 9:15so here in eye integration with the
  226. 9:17community residents you are already
  227. 9:19doing some ocular survey meaning to say
  228. 9:22you entered already in the community and
  229. 9:24you have the checklist to check the
  230. 9:26structure of the community remember here
  231. 9:28in the pre-entry we mentioned earlier to
  232. 9:31have an ocular survey but it's we are
  233. 9:34not yet with the community okay remember
  234. 9:36that it's here preliminary social
  235. 9:38investigation we did some ocular survey
  236. 9:40here but we did not go to the community
  237. 9:43yet okay and like here in the e or entry
  238. 9:46phase we are already doing or using some
  239. 9:50checklists to have an integration with
  240. 9:53the community residents okay doing some
  241. 9:55courtesy call with the community
  242. 9:57residents maybe you can do some formal
  243. 10:01courtesy to the barangay officials or to
  244. 10:03the community officials i should say and
  245. 10:06giving them the purpose why you are
  246. 10:08there in the community okay
  247. 10:10here in the deepening social
  248. 10:12investigation or letter d as i mentioned
  249. 10:14earlier you should have the checklist
  250. 10:17the checklist that you want to gather
  251. 10:19some data we did actually the social
  252. 10:21investigation in the pre-entry but it is
  253. 10:25just only the psi here in the interface
  254. 10:28you are deepening it you are digging
  255. 10:30some information you can do some mapping
  256. 10:32already you can check also the drainage
  257. 10:35of the community also you can check
  258. 10:37their knowledge about their health
  259. 10:39condition or maybe some vaccinations do
  260. 10:42they have a knowledge on that one you
  261. 10:44are actually checking deeply here from
  262. 10:46the word deepening social investigation
  263. 10:49you are getting some information that
  264. 10:51the community needs to work on where you
  265. 10:54can help them in the future in solving
  266. 10:57their own issue
  267. 10:58here in i as i've mentioned earlier you
  268. 11:01can tell them your purpose so
  269. 11:03information dissemination you can tell
  270. 11:05them your purpose why you are there in
  271. 11:06the community why you are doing social
  272. 11:09investigation and what is the importance
  273. 11:11of the thing that you are doing okay so
  274. 11:13remember information dissemination
  275. 11:16and the last one here in the interface
  276. 11:19is the core group formation in here we
  277. 11:21are also developing the criteria of the
  278. 11:24selection of the core group members
  279. 11:26examples of this are members should be
  280. 11:29respected member of the community they
  281. 11:31should belong from the poor sector of
  282. 11:33the society must be responsible
  283. 11:36committed and willing to work for social
  284. 11:38change and social transformation willing
  285. 11:41to learn and must be able to communicate
  286. 11:43and can express oneself in the group so
  287. 11:46in here in the core group formation we
  288. 11:48are not just getting people here we are
  289. 11:51encouraging people with interest
  290. 11:53remember the word interest willing to
  291. 11:55learn and responsible person from that
  292. 11:58community because soon they will be the
  293. 12:00people that you are going to train okay
  294. 12:02remember that and always remember that
  295. 12:05they should belong from the poor sector
  296. 12:07of the community because if they came
  297. 12:09from the worst sector of the community
  298. 12:11of course they will be interested in
  299. 12:14working in their own issue and willing
  300. 12:16to work for social change so here in the
  301. 12:19core group formation i repeat we are
  302. 12:21establishing the criteria for members
  303. 12:23that is the one that i mentioned earlier
  304. 12:25respected member of the community
  305. 12:27belongs to the poor sector must be
  306. 12:29responsible and committed for change
  307. 12:31willing to learn and able to communicate
  308. 12:33also here in the core group formation
  309. 12:35once we already have the criteria the
  310. 12:38roles and functions are also established
  311. 12:41these roles can be delivery of basic
  312. 12:44health services coordination and there
  313. 12:46is a good consultation with other
  314. 12:48community organizations and of course a
  315. 12:51self-awareness and leadership training
  316. 12:53must be done also okay so remember here
  317. 12:56in the core group we have two steps here
  318. 12:58we need to check for the criteria and we
  319. 13:00have established roles function and task
  320. 13:03of the core group okay they are just
  321. 13:04connected okay remember here in the
  322. 13:07entry you are deepening your
  323. 13:09investigation so remember the word i as
  324. 13:11a nurse will dig information okay so i
  325. 13:14integration with community residents d
  326. 13:17deepening social investigation eye
  327. 13:19information dissemination ng group or
  328. 13:22core group formation
  329. 13:23the third phase of the code bar is
  330. 13:26diagnostic phase in here we are actually
  331. 13:28doing community study or it is the
  332. 13:31research phase okay so if we say
  333. 13:34research one of the methodologists in
  334. 13:36nursing in order to improve some
  335. 13:38initiatives is the fpdca okay let's use
  336. 13:42that but it is a different meaning in
  337. 13:44order for you to easily understand it i
  338. 13:46use the mnemonics fbdc it's like focus
  339. 13:49pdca so f stands for focused on team
  340. 13:52selection p stands for preparation d
  341. 13:55stands for data gathering c stands for
  342. 13:59community validation and a for
  343. 14:01assessment and prioritization
  344. 14:04here in the focus on team selection we
  345. 14:07are actually selecting or establishing
  346. 14:10the research team and i told you earlier
  347. 14:13all the members and teams should come
  348. 14:16from the community okay so here you are
  349. 14:19doing the selection of the research team
  350. 14:21so f only focus so f first focus focus
  351. 14:26on the steam selection by the way why
  352. 14:28are we doing this diagnostic phase
  353. 14:30because here in the diagnostic phase we
  354. 14:33are actually doing the identification of
  355. 14:36problems i told you before right from
  356. 14:38the last video the community will go
  357. 14:40into work do action set goals evaluate
  358. 14:44everything they will do but the problem
  359. 14:46is the root of this one the community
  360. 14:49should know their problems in order for
  361. 14:52them to set immediate and long-term goal
  362. 14:54okay so here in b the people are doing
  363. 14:58diagnostic phase and here in the
  364. 15:00diagnostic phase meaning to say people
  365. 15:02are doing checking of their problems it
  366. 15:06should be identified by the people from
  367. 15:08that community and that problem is an
  368. 15:11issue affecting the whole community so
  369. 15:15let's go back to fbdca f stands for
  370. 15:18focused on team selection
  371. 15:21the next one is preparation here in the
  372. 15:23preparation you are actually doing
  373. 15:26training training for for the methods
  374. 15:28and techniques and you are also doing
  375. 15:31planning for actual data gathering so
  376. 15:33here in the preparation you are training
  377. 15:36the people let's say the the team
  378. 15:39already you are training the team on how
  379. 15:41are they going to see if there is a
  380. 15:43problem you can use some techniques here
  381. 15:46you can apply some methods you can apply
  382. 15:49methods and techniques in the problem
  383. 15:51identification there could be cause and
  384. 15:54effect that can be won and of course you
  385. 15:56can do some fishbone analysis if you are
  386. 15:58so knowledgeable in doing the fishbone
  387. 16:00diagram swot analysis if you are able to
  388. 16:03do it or if you have some knowledge
  389. 16:04about it but the ecs is using the cause
  390. 16:07and effect method okay after doing the
  391. 16:10training for the methods and techniques
  392. 16:11is that you are also going to prepare an
  393. 16:14actual data gathering you can do some
  394. 16:16templates here in your data collection
  395. 16:19you can use the online through excel or
  396. 16:21you can use manual no problem so
  397. 16:24remember here in the preparation you
  398. 16:26need to train the people who are there
  399. 16:29in the research team train them on how
  400. 16:32to use the methods and techniques in
  401. 16:34identification of a problem and train
  402. 16:36them also in planning the actual data
  403. 16:39gathering okay do not forget it
  404. 16:42letter d is the actual data gathering
  405. 16:44here in actual data gathering is that
  406. 16:47you are going to do some surveys you can
  407. 16:50do some qualitative methods like
  408. 16:52interviewing the people or you can do
  409. 16:54some quantitative methods by only
  410. 16:57checking the objective things in the
  411. 16:59community that you can use for example
  412. 17:01how many pregnant women are there in the
  413. 17:04community and how many children are
  414. 17:06compliant with their vaccination
  415. 17:08something like that those can be the
  416. 17:10data that you can gather from the
  417. 17:11community and in terms of qualitative
  418. 17:13one an example of this one is are the
  419. 17:15people
  420. 17:16satisfied in the resources that they
  421. 17:19have in the community especially about
  422. 17:22health you can do your gathering of data
  423. 17:24in a qualitative way or in a
  424. 17:26quantitative way okay
  425. 17:28the next one is community validation
  426. 17:31after data gathering you are going to
  427. 17:33collect all those data that you have and
  428. 17:36do some tallying the last one is assess
  429. 17:39and prioritization from your data
  430. 17:41gathering to community validation you
  431. 17:44already have your tabulated data here
  432. 17:46and once you have this tabulated data
  433. 17:49you can do the ranking and assessment
  434. 17:51first do the ranking or we are saying it
  435. 17:54prioritization you can arrange the
  436. 17:57tabulated problems that you have on hand
  437. 18:00in a ranking way and you can assess if
  438. 18:03this is one of your priorities or not so
  439. 18:06always remember do data gathering then
  440. 18:09your community validation then do your
  441. 18:11assessment and prioritization of
  442. 18:14problems
  443. 18:15so here in the diagnostic phase actually
  444. 18:17we are checking the problems that people
  445. 18:20have in the community but as i've
  446. 18:22mentioned earlier it is not you who are
  447. 18:25going to do it it should be the
  448. 18:26community and in here in the diagnostic
  449. 18:29phase you need to train people or focus
  450. 18:32on team selection who will be trained
  451. 18:34for this diagnostic phase or the
  452. 18:36community study once you have already
  453. 18:38the team you need to prepare them in the
  454. 18:41methods or techniques that you they are
  455. 18:43going to use and you guys need to work
  456. 18:45hand in hand in planning for actual data
  457. 18:48gathering once that is done you are you
  458. 18:50are now ready to do the data collection
  459. 18:52with the community and do some community
  460. 18:55validation and of course the last one in
  461. 18:57this space is the assessment and
  462. 18:59prioritization of problems okay remember
  463. 19:03fpdca
  464. 19:05to add also here in the assessment and
  465. 19:08prioritization in prioritization you
  466. 19:11need to base your assessment through
  467. 19:14community needs problems for action and
  468. 19:17recommendation okay so there should be a
  469. 19:20presentation of community diagnosis and
  470. 19:22recommendation
  471. 19:24so the next one here in the copper
  472. 19:26process is the organization and capacity
  473. 19:30building phase of the community in here
  474. 19:33we have actually activities and the
  475. 19:35mnemonics is meeting remember every
  476. 19:37mnemonics that i'm presenting here
  477. 19:39because they might help you in p i
  478. 19:41mentioned season e i dig d f p d c a and
  479. 19:46here in o meeting so remember the word
  480. 19:49meeting meaning to say we are doing a
  481. 19:51lot of meetings here we are doing some
  482. 19:53capacitive building here meaning to say
  483. 19:56we are building the community through
  484. 19:58some organizational meetings okay so
  485. 20:02here in community organizing and
  486. 20:04capacity building phase m stands for
  487. 20:07meeting of the community so since we
  488. 20:09already have a core group and we also
  489. 20:12have prepared already research team and
  490. 20:15we have identified already the problems
  491. 20:17of the community we are now ready to
  492. 20:20discuss these things to the community to
  493. 20:23those residents that are there in the
  494. 20:25community okay so we can do meeting of
  495. 20:28the community we can gather them
  496. 20:31the next one is
  497. 20:33establishment of officers since we are
  498. 20:36doing the meeting in that meeting we can
  499. 20:39now establish the people who are going
  500. 20:42to be trained more in our process okay
  501. 20:45so here in the establishment of officer
  502. 20:47we are doing election of the officers
  503. 20:50and once we have election since these
  504. 20:53people do not know each other yet though
  505. 20:55they are in the same community of course
  506. 20:56they don't know each other okay they
  507. 20:59might bond they might talk to each other
  508. 21:01they might be in that community for how
  509. 21:03long already but we don't know how they
  510. 21:06are socially involved especially in some
  511. 21:09activities for changes so we are going
  512. 21:13to do something building okay remember
  513. 21:16the word thing building or
  514. 21:18a-r-a-s or the arrest the next one that
  515. 21:21we are going to do is induction you can
  516. 21:24do the induction while you are doing the
  517. 21:26team building but i prefer you need to
  518. 21:29do the induction first before the team
  519. 21:31building okay so once selected you can
  520. 21:34do the induction then next is team
  521. 21:36building but others are actually doing
  522. 21:39both or at the same time there's no
  523. 21:41problem about that one but in the real
  524. 21:43process is or or in the ideal process
  525. 21:46you need to do the induction first
  526. 21:48before doing the team building that is
  527. 21:51better and that is right actually the
  528. 21:53next one is n i cheated a little here so
  529. 21:56n stands for functionalities of the
  530. 21:59organizations what do we mean here in
  531. 22:01the functionalities of organizations
  532. 22:04here we should have a working committees
  533. 22:07there should be a working working
  534. 22:09committees that stand for our co-park
  535. 22:13they should not be elected to see they
  536. 22:15should be elected to act for the
  537. 22:17community they should be the one to lead
  538. 22:20the community and as i've mentioned
  539. 22:23earlier we cannot do it without the
  540. 22:25interest of the community so in order
  541. 22:28for us to have a working committee we
  542. 22:31should have
  543. 22:32these committees to be functioned
  544. 22:34according to what are they planned for
  545. 22:37okay so we should have a working on
  546. 22:39functioning committees
  547. 22:42so next one is the group leaders
  548. 22:44training or the training of the cho
  549. 22:48officers or community leaders so in here
  550. 22:51in order for us to have a functional
  551. 22:54committees we need to train them as i've
  552. 22:56mentioned earlier nurses are the
  553. 22:58facilitators here in the copar process
  554. 23:01so you need to train these people
  555. 23:04because they don't know yet on how to up
  556. 23:06on their issues okay you need to
  557. 23:09facilitate them you need to teach them
  558. 23:11on how to do this do that like that in
  559. 23:14order for them to apply it always
  560. 23:15remember you cannot apply what you
  561. 23:17didn't learn okay so here you need to
  562. 23:20train these people based from the
  563. 23:22development plan that you did or that
  564. 23:24you established in the pre-entry phase
  565. 23:27okay remember those things that you did
  566. 23:29here because you can now apply it in the
  567. 23:32organization phase okay don't forget it
  568. 23:35remember here in the organization and
  569. 23:38capacity building phase these things
  570. 23:40meeting m-e-e-t-i-n-g
  571. 23:43is that these activities here entail the
  572. 23:46formation of formal structures and
  573. 23:49inclusion of more formal procedures like
  574. 23:52planning and implementation as well as
  575. 23:55evaluation and in this phase the
  576. 23:57organized leaders or groups are being
  577. 24:00given trainings it could be formal
  578. 24:03informal on the job training like that
  579. 24:05in order for them to develop their
  580. 24:07skills in managing their concern in the
  581. 24:10community in managing the people in the
  582. 24:13community okay so remember the word
  583. 24:16meeting because that is in the
  584. 24:18organizational phase
  585. 24:20the next one in the copa process is c
  586. 24:23that is the community action phase so
  587. 24:26remember in o here in the o we focus
  588. 24:29only in the cho okay or in the community
  589. 24:32group leaders okay so in each phase we
  590. 24:35are actually focusing let's just review
  591. 24:37it quickly you are preparing for
  592. 24:40yourself
  593. 24:41you are intro introducing the co-part d
  594. 24:44you are doing some research or problem
  595. 24:47identification oh you are training the
  596. 24:49group leaders and here in c you have
  597. 24:53mnemonics work okay work meaning to say
  598. 24:56community action you are already doing
  599. 24:59some work here okay remember that in
  600. 25:01this space our focus are not the leaders
  601. 25:05but the workers already okay the word
  602. 25:08were your focus workers the word word
  603. 25:10you are doing some actions okay now here
  604. 25:13in w that means workers establishment
  605. 25:17you are doing some organizational
  606. 25:20training to the community health workers
  607. 25:23okay so they could be the bhw or the
  608. 25:27barangay health workers you are already
  609. 25:29doing training to them oh by the way
  610. 25:31prior to the training you need to select
  611. 25:33first who are your workers in the
  612. 25:35community okay and always remember do
  613. 25:38not select if they are not interested
  614. 25:41the word interested here and their
  615. 25:43willingness is essential okay so in here
  616. 25:46prior to the selection and training you
  617. 25:48need to develop the criteria of
  618. 25:51selection for these healthcare workers
  619. 25:53they should have the willingness and
  620. 25:55interest to join the team okay let's be
  621. 25:58clear here in the workers establishment
  622. 26:00you need to develop the criteria of
  623. 26:03selection of healthcare workers once the
  624. 26:05criteria is established you can now
  625. 26:08select the people who can join the
  626. 26:10workers team and of course once you're
  627. 26:12done with that you can now train them
  628. 26:14and once you already established the
  629. 26:16workers you can do organizational setup
  630. 26:19also through setting up linkages or
  631. 26:21networks or referral system okay but it
  632. 26:25is not you let me just clear it is not
  633. 26:26you who going to do it you're just going
  634. 26:28to facilitate the community leaders here
  635. 26:32okay they should be the one to do the
  636. 26:34connection or to do the linkages okay
  637. 26:37clear and the next one is are that is
  638. 26:40resource mobilization scene in here the
  639. 26:43community needs to identify the
  640. 26:45resources that they have in the
  641. 26:47community in order for them to use it in
  642. 26:49solving their problem in solving their
  643. 26:52issues it could be human resources
  644. 26:54material resources community resources
  645. 26:57so here they should have an initial
  646. 26:59identification of their resources and of
  647. 27:01course they need to use this resources
  648. 27:04in in fixing their issues so once there
  649. 27:07is already establishment of workers
  650. 27:09there is already an organizational setup
  651. 27:12and the people already identified the
  652. 27:14resources that they have in the
  653. 27:16community the workflow of course will be
  654. 27:20okay so remember here in the workers
  655. 27:22establishment the development of
  656. 27:24criteria must be done or must be
  657. 27:26established then a selection of
  658. 27:28community health workers will be done
  659. 27:30and the last one here in this
  660. 27:32step is the training of the community
  661. 27:35health workers here on organizational
  662. 27:37setup the community should have linkages
  663. 27:40or good connection and referral system
  664. 27:43and of course here do not forget the
  665. 27:45time the project implementation
  666. 27:47monitoring and evaluation of health
  667. 27:50services intervention sims and community
  668. 27:52developmental projects remember that
  669. 27:55here in community action phase the work
  670. 27:57here is being done there are a lot of
  671. 27:59things to be considered here always
  672. 28:02remember that the people needs to
  673. 28:04identify their problem and act for their
  674. 28:07problem so there should be a project
  675. 28:09implementation so once you already have
  676. 28:11identified the problem and you set up
  677. 28:14your goal you need to implement of
  678. 28:16course an initiative to solve it okay so
  679. 28:18once you implemented a solution already
  680. 28:21you need also to monitor is this
  681. 28:23correctly being done by my com by the
  682. 28:25community members you need to monitor it
  683. 28:28is there an any sustainability in the
  684. 28:31actions you need to set for a time it's
  685. 28:33up to you already because we we don't
  686. 28:35know if it's an immediate or long term
  687. 28:37right so you need to let the community
  688. 28:40health workers or the community leaders
  689. 28:42of course to monitor if the action or
  690. 28:45the solution is being implemented well
  691. 28:47in the community so do some monitoring
  692. 28:49of your actions
  693. 28:51and the last one is the people needs to
  694. 28:53evaluate needs to evaluate if there is a
  695. 28:56good implementation of actions okay so
  696. 29:00once the work is already running running
  697. 29:02good running smoothly of course we can
  698. 29:05say that this is okay and that is your k
  699. 29:08in the community action phase
  700. 29:10the last one here in the copar phases is
  701. 29:14the s that is sustenance and
  702. 29:16strengthening phase and in here we can
  703. 29:19say that the activities that we've done
  704. 29:22is already finished that is the
  705. 29:24mnemonics finish so meaning to say once
  706. 29:26you already reached the s we are already
  707. 29:29strengthening the community the
  708. 29:31community is ready for turnover they can
  709. 29:33now get it without the nurse always
  710. 29:35remember that the action of the nurse
  711. 29:37here in the coal bar is not forever
  712. 29:40because you are building the community
  713. 29:42to be self-reliant meaning to say you
  714. 29:45will teach them you are going to help
  715. 29:47them identify their problem the help
  716. 29:49will end of course because the community
  717. 29:52are already strong enough to solve their
  718. 29:54issue okay so remember the word finish
  719. 29:58and in here the formulation and
  720. 30:00ratification of constitution and by laws
  721. 30:03meaning to say we have already
  722. 30:05formulated constitution to guide the
  723. 30:08community i is identification and
  724. 30:11development of secondary leaders earlier
  725. 30:14if you can remember we trained the core
  726. 30:17group
  727. 30:18the leaders of the community but in here
  728. 30:20in the sustenance and strengthening
  729. 30:22phase we are already developing the
  730. 30:24secondary leaders it's not only the
  731. 30:26primary leaders but we already have
  732. 30:28secondary leaders that can help the
  733. 30:30community leaders soon if the nurse will
  734. 30:33go out in that community because they're
  735. 30:35already strong enough right so we need
  736. 30:38to have secondary leaders the next one
  737. 30:40is n that is network or links or
  738. 30:43referral system formalization meaning to
  739. 30:46say that the community establish trust
  740. 30:49already to some of the ngos or lgus that
  741. 30:53are helping them so they already set up
  742. 30:56a good network the next one is i that is
  743. 30:59implementation development of viable
  744. 31:02committees management system plans and
  745. 31:05medium and long-term goals in here the
  746. 31:08development and implementation of viable
  747. 31:10committees meaning to say we mentioned
  748. 31:12earlier that there should be a working
  749. 31:14community right in the working community
  750. 31:17we need to monitor it in order for it to
  751. 31:19be viable in order for it to be visible
  752. 31:22they should be able to be seen like an
  753. 31:24independent unit or independent
  754. 31:27committees okay that is working or
  755. 31:29functioning the next one is s that is
  756. 31:32setting up and institutionalizing
  757. 31:35financing seam for community health
  758. 31:37activities and programs
  759. 31:39and the last one is age that is health
  760. 31:42workers of the community's continuous
  761. 31:44education the facilitator or the nurse
  762. 31:48should also do some health education to
  763. 31:51the community leaders to the community
  764. 31:53health workers cho members and community
  765. 31:56residents this continuing health
  766. 31:58education is only the strengthening
  767. 32:01phase okay because we did some training
  768. 32:04already to the community leaders and to
  769. 32:06the workers and in here it will be the
  770. 32:09strengthening you are going only to fit
  771. 32:11them a little out because you already
  772. 32:13established the community leaders and
  773. 32:15community health workers here so in here
  774. 32:18you are just doing some guidance or
  775. 32:20maybe an additional or an update to
  776. 32:23their knowledge okay so remember here in
  777. 32:26the sustenance and strengthening phase
  778. 32:28it's already a phase where the community
  779. 32:30is ready the commit the committees are
  780. 32:32viable their networks are already
  781. 32:35formalized and there is already an
  782. 32:37identification or election of secondary
  783. 32:40leaders
  784. 32:41always remember that the sustenance and
  785. 32:44strengthening phase occurs when the
  786. 32:46community organization has already been
  787. 32:48established and the community members
  788. 32:50are already actively participating in
  789. 32:53the community-wide undertakings okay
  790. 32:56meaning to say that the community are
  791. 32:58doing more the initiative is coming from
