- 0:01Maskar. The topic is the Vishuddha
- 0:05chakra. Vishuddha chakra. Vishuddha
- 0:09means pure. A pure chakra. We have
- 0:14evolved. We have seen that moving from
- 0:17chakra to chakra symbolizes the
- 0:20evolutionary development of beings.
- 0:22That is, within our universe and this
- 0:25physical body, all possible forms of
- 0:27living beings are contained. This means
- 0:31we can manifest ourselves as a holy
- 0:34divine being, or we can manifest as
- 0:37animals or reptiles. Yes. So, every
- 0:40possible potential exists. Now the
- 0:42choice is ours. What will we choose?
- 0:45Starting with the Vishuddha chakra, we
- 0:47overcome the limitations of the
- 0:49individual ego. And starting from the
- 0:52Vishuddha chakra, we deal with
- 0:54transpersonal manifestation and
- 0:55transpersonal experience. What does
- 0:59transpersonal mean? "Trans" means going
- 1:02beyond; "persona" means beyond the
- 1:05personality. Transpersonal means to
- 1:09stop identifying oneself and one's
- 1:12happiness with the pleasures and
- 1:14limitations of this small body and mind
- 1:17. A transpersonal life means
- 1:21experiencing a fundamental unity, this
- 1:25broad, boundless happiness that
- 1:28permeates the entire universe. And this
- 1:32begins with the Vishuddha chakra. From
- 1:34there, it culminates in an absolute,
- 1:37divine, pure state. Those people who
- 1:40have reached the level of the Vishuddha
- 1:42chakra are extraordinary people. Such
- 1:45people can produce changes that are
- 1:48felt for centuries afterwards. These
- 1:53people are the leaders of our
- 1:55civilization. They are the ones who
- 1:58create breakthroughs and pave the way
- 2:02through uncharted land into the future.
- 2:06The Vishuddha chakra is a very, very
- 2:08powerful chakra. The symbolism of this
- 2:11chakra is a white elephant. A white
- 2:13elephant. The energy is very powerful.
- 2:16An elephant. Huge energy, but it is
- 2:19white; it is pure. If in the Muladhara
- 2:22chakra the elephant was black—black,
- 2:25selfish, unrestrained, wild, and
- 2:28barbaric—then in the Vishuddha chakra
- 2:30, that same powerful energy has become
- 2:33white, absolutely pure. And when a
- 2:37person reaches the Vishuddha chakra,
- 2:38they are a treasure to this world,
- 2:40because this person brings benefit. My
- 2:44master said something. He said, "There
- 2:46are three types of people, and one type
- 2:49of person has an animal psychology."
- 2:51Animal—animal psychology. Animal
- 2:54psychology means, "I don't need any
- 2:56high ideas.""I just want bread and
- 2:59butter, right?""I live for the pleasure
- 3:02of the body, for entertainment." From
- 3:04the perspective of Tantra, this is
- 3:06called "pashu." That is, a person with
- 3:08an animal psychology. A human body, but
- 3:11animal psychology. Then there is the
- 3:14psychology of "vira." Vira means hero.
- 3:18A hero in a human body. The hero is the
- 3:21human stage. When you reach the Anahata
- 3:24chakra, you truly become human. And to
- 3:28be human, you actually have to be, and
- 3:31to show, heroism, because the choice
- 3:34between what is easy and what is right
- 3:37always arises. There. And the one who
- 3:40takes the side of good, yes, has to
- 3:43show heroism in life. That is, their
- 3:46life is heroic, which is why they are
- 3:48called vira, a hero. And eventually we
- 3:51are dealing with a devata. Devata means
- 3:54God in a human body. That is, the body
- 3:58is already human, but their
- 3:59consciousness is divine. That is, this
- 4:01person's consciousness is so pure and
- 4:04delightful that one cannot bring
- 4:06oneself to call this person a mere
- 4:08human. A devata. And everyone starts
- 4:12their path from the state of pashu.
- 4:15Further, when you become established in
- 4:17ideation, in spiritual ideation, in
- 4:19morality, in spiritual principles, and
- 4:21in spiritual practice, you become a
- 4:22vira. And by remaining a vira,
- 4:25upholding your humanity, never
- 4:27betraying this humanity, you become a
- 4:29devata. And so our master said such a
- 4:31thing. He says: "All the problems of
- 4:34this world, all without exception, are
- 4:38created by people with animal
- 4:40psychology. People in human form endure
- 4:45these problems and suffer from them,
- 4:47because, uh, for a person with
- 4:49principles, it is unacceptable to be an
- 4:51opportunist, it is unacceptable to
- 4:53compromise their conscience for the
- 4:56sake of their own convenience." And
- 4:58living in a world where this is
- 5:01accepted, they suffer. And in the end,
- 5:04all problems are solved by gods in
- 5:07human bodies. Like that. So, starting
- 5:10from the Vishuddha chakra, that person
- 5:12who lives constantly at the level of
- 5:14the Vishuddha chakra, that is, energy
- 5:16manifests here at the level of the
- 5:17Vishuddha chakra, and their
- 5:19consciousness does not fall into the
- 5:20lower centers. One could not bring
- 5:23themselves to call such a person a
- 5:24human. They are divine, that is, they
- 5:26are holy. This is a superhuman, they
- 5:29are divine by nature. That is, you, uh,
- 5:32few of us imagine how powerful the
- 5:36potential hidden within us is. That is,
- 5:40this is an absolutely fantastic thing.
- 5:43So, here is the Vishuddha chakra, a
- 5:45pure center. There. Well, what happens,
- 5:48what are the very first signs when the
- 5:51development of the Vishuddha chakra
- 5:53occurs? The very first signs are that a
- 5:56person develops charisma and influence.
- 5:58Other people with less developed
- 6:01chakras, with less developed minds,
- 6:03perceive this person as a leader. They
- 6:06say: "Oh, I will follow you." This is
- 6:09what is called charisma, yes, influence
- 6:11, charm, fascination, inner strength.
- 6:15Also, a person manifests abilities for
- 6:18eloquence, yes, their eloquence appears
- 6:21. And the ability to sing well, to
- 6:25speak sweetly, a pleasant voice emerges
- 6:29. And more extraordinary manifestations
- 6:32of the Vishuddha chakra are remarkable
- 6:35intuition. That is, a person can see
- 6:39the past, can see the future, can see
- 6:42the present. That is, here already, uh,
- 6:45what is it called, a supernatural power
- 6:48. It is all located here, in the
- 6:51Vishuddha chakra. There. And,
- 6:54accordingly, that is, everything is
- 6:55open to the person, all these
- 6:57possibilities. I will say that until
- 6:59wisdom is developed within you, you
- 7:02should not try to force this
- 7:03development, especially the forceful
- 7:06development of the chakras. Because
- 7:09when the chakras develop, they give you
- 7:12power, and along with this power comes
- 7:15temptation. And temptation can lead you
- 7:19to a spiritual fall. Therefore, one
- 7:21must proceed in the process of chakra
- 7:24development very carefully and always
- 7:27with the blessing of one's spiritual
- 7:29teacher. Because temptation is always
- 7:33lurking at every step. It's like, you
- 7:37know, have you seen Star Wars? A Jedi
- 7:41can become Darth Vader very easily.
- 7:44There. Because the source of power is
- 7:46the same. This power is one and the
- 7:48same power. It can be light, it can be
- 7:51dark, this power, but it is the same
- 7:52thing, in essence. Only your direction,
- 7:55your choice, what I am moving toward. I
- 7:58am moving toward the subtle. Vyoma,
- 8:01vyoma, hari, hari, vyoma, vyoma. That
- 8:04was the slogan of the ancient tantrics.
- 8:06To God, to God, to the sky, to the sky.
- 8:09That was the slogan. Or am I moving
- 8:10toward materialism? And those who move
- 8:13toward materialism are those who stand
- 8:16on the dark side of the force. Those
- 8:19who move toward spirituality stand on
- 8:20the light side of the force. There. But
- 8:22the power, one way or another, is the
- 8:24same. That is, when you perform methods
- 8:27to control this power, the power of
- 8:29nature, gradually the power of nature
- 8:32begins to yield to you, it begins to
- 8:34submit to you. And the power of nature
- 8:37has created a whole world. It is a
- 8:39magical power that creates an
- 8:41incredibly beautiful, diverse, unique,
- 8:45absolutely stunning universe. And when
- 8:48this power comes under the control of
- 8:51your individual microcosm, you can be
- 8:55enchanted by the things that open up
- 8:58before you. And many at this stage
- 9:00leave the spiritual path because their
- 9:02mind cannot withstand the temptation of
- 9:05this extroversion. To try this, to try
- 9:08that, to try this. My guru once spoke
- 9:12on the topic of "Black and White Tantra
- 9:15." And he says: "You know, well, he
- 9:18told some things that dark tantrics do.
- 9:19" And he says: "You know, if I tell you
- 9:22now all the subtleties of black tantra,
- 9:25as a guru, as a sadguru, a sadguru must
- 9:27know both white tantra and dark tantra.
- 9:29" He must know absolutely everything.
- 9:31That is, he must be an adept in any
- 9:33tantra. But teach students that which
- 9:36will lead to liberation. There. And he
- 9:39says: "If I tell you the subtleties and
- 9:42nuances about the nature of the path of
- 9:45ignorance, you will be fascinated, but
- 9:48it will lead you away from the path of
- 9:50light. You do not have the strength to
- 9:54resist this temptation. That is why I
- 9:58never reveal these things to you. You
- 10:01must remember that your main goal is
- 10:04the aspiration toward the Almighty.
- 10:06There. That is, you need to understand
- 10:09that when we are on the path, you must
- 10:12always realize—from the very
- 10:14beginning when you started meditating
- 10:17—that you will not stop until you
- 10:19reach infinity. And whatever toys God
- 10:24may offer you, you will say:" No, I am
- 10:28playing for the grand prize. I do not
- 10:32accept this. "The stakes are too high.
- 10:36The stake is my life. I am playing for
- 10:39the grand prize. I do not accept
- 10:42some small things. This is not what
- 10:45interests me. That is why, as we
- 10:47develop the chakras, all these things
- 10:49will come to us. There. But we need to
- 10:51ignore them. We do not need to pay
- 10:53attention to these things. If they do
- 10:57come, then, by the grace of God, we
- 10:59will use them for the well-being of
- 11:02people. That is, we will work in
- 11:06harmony with God, feel His will, and
- 11:09use the developed abilities of our mind
- 11:13to bring benefit to this world. Note
- 11:17here that some people try to develop
- 11:20abilities for healing, seeing the
- 11:23future, and so on. I ask them the
- 11:25question:" Why do you want to do this?
- 11:27"They say:" Well, we will help people.
- 11:30"There is a certain cunning here,
- 11:32because if you want to help people so
- 11:33much, why aren't you doing it now? You
- 11:36have so many different ways: hands,
- 11:38legs. No, you don't want to help people
- 11:41; you want to demonstrate your
- 11:43superiority. This is your main
- 11:45motivation. And this motivation 100%
- 11:48leads you to a spiritual coffin. That
- 11:50is, this is a one-hundred-percent
- 11:52degenerative motivation. Therefore,
- 11:55when this desire exists—for a
- 11:57spiritual practitioner to relax a
- 11:59little, although one should never relax
- 12:02—the power of ignorance, avidya, can
- 12:05always lead you astray at any stage.
- 12:08But it becomes a little easier to
- 12:11breathe when you discover that you have
- 12:13run out of all desires. That is, you
- 12:16find that you are already happy, you
- 12:18are fine. If you do something, you do
- 12:21it because you feel it deeply from
- 12:23within. This is correct. You have no
- 12:25desire, you have no such impulse:" I
- 12:27want, I want, I want. "There is no such
- 12:29thing. You have a deep inner
- 12:30realization. There is a voice from your
- 12:33heart that tells you this must be done.
- 12:36It is your mission; you need to do it.
- 12:39Only then can you be a little at peace,
- 12:42because these desires no longer confuse
- 12:45your mind or lead you astray. You are
- 12:47on a spiritual path, and you have
- 12:49become steadfast. Well, anyway, I took
- 12:51a little lyrical digression. I won't
- 12:54cut it out anyway. Let this digression
- 12:59remain. There. But the vishuddha chakra
- 13:04, a pure center, controls the etheric
- 13:08factor in the body. The etheric factor
- 13:11is responsible for the property of
- 13:13transmitting sound. And the first two
- 13:16tendencies manifested here are related
- 13:20to the voice. Expression through the
- 13:23voice, vak. Vak means, uh, your thought
- 13:30, your speech. And your actions too;
- 13:33this is the expressiveness of your mind
- 13:35. Vak, and this expressiveness through
- 13:40the voice, can be either under the
- 13:43influence of the amrita property or the
- 13:46vishaya property. Amrita is the
- 13:50nectar-like manifestation. What are
- 13:52nectar-like manifestations? Your entire
- 13:54personality is sweet. It means that
- 13:57when people come into your company,
- 13:59they feel how good they start to feel.
- 14:03Their problems dissipate, they let go,
- 14:06fear leaves, and they feel good, at
- 14:08least temporarily. You bring relief
- 14:10into the lives of other people. This is
- 14:13called amrita. For example, oh, my boy,
- 14:18come here. What is your name? Here,
- 14:22take these candies. Do you like these
- 14:24candies? You squeeze the toddler and
- 14:28talk to him very charmingly. He says,"
- 14:32Yes, yes. "And instantly you become
- 14:34friends. This is called a nectar-like
- 14:36manifestation. Meaning you show the
- 14:39sweetness of your soul. But on the
- 14:44other hand, there is vishaya. Vishaya
- 14:47means poison. Poison. And it is also a
- 14:50property of the vishuddha chakra.
- 14:52Sometimes, when talking about the
- 14:53qualities of a guru, about the
- 14:55qualities of mentors and teachers, the
- 14:57vishuddha chakra is the level of
- 14:59mentorship and teaching. It says,
- 15:01anugraha, anugraha shakti gurutva
- 15:05hitaya. The ability to punish and the
- 15:07ability to bless. He who possesses
- 15:10these two abilities is a teacher. If a
- 15:12person is only sweet, he is not a
- 15:15teacher. If a person is only bitter, he
- 15:18is not a teacher. In that case, he is
- 15:20your enemy, and in that case, he is
- 15:21also your enemy. But when he is bitter,
- 15:24then sweet, then bitter again, and then
- 15:26sweet, he is your teacher. Because
- 15:29sometimes a person needs to be given a
- 15:32magical kick. And masters, they know
- 15:35how to give that magical kick, believe
- 15:38me. They are capable of giving it. Bam.
- 15:42My guru, my master, he could sometimes
- 15:45swear so much. I was telling the guys
- 15:47today how he used to swear. I won't
- 15:49tell you, but it was very harsh, and
- 15:56people were afraid of him. People were
- 15:59afraid. But nevertheless, his amrita
- 16:01was always greater than the vishaya.
- 16:03Meaning his amrita, his sweetness, it
- 16:06drew people in. My acharya, my
- 16:08meditation teacher, when he traveled to
- 16:11India, he said:" I, well, we arrived in
- 16:15India, it hadn't rained for a day, the
- 16:17heat. "And he says:" We were so
- 16:18exhausted, tired, and all the dadis
- 16:19just collapsed to sleep, though you're
- 16:21not supposed to sleep during the day.
- 16:22Monks are generally forbidden from
- 16:24sleeping during the day. "Well, they
- 16:25all collapsed to sleep, lying there,
- 16:27snoring away. It was such a completely
- 16:30oppressive environment. And he says:"
- 16:32He thinks: 'What am I doing here? Why
- 16:34should I be here? Our guru is there, I
- 16:36will go see him. Why should I be
- 16:38sleeping?' "And he went to his house.
- 16:40There. And the guru was lying on a
- 16:42couch, and someone was giving him a
- 16:43massage. The Guru said:" Do you know
- 16:47the songs I wrote, the Prabhat Samgiita
- 16:49? "Yes, he wrote 5,018 songs." Ah, yes,
- 16:53yes, we know them, Baba, we know them.
- 16:55"" Well, sing something. "" I want you
- 16:58to sing. "They started to sing. At that
- 17:02time they didn't know them well, so
- 17:04they sang like, so-so, one might say.
- 17:08Bandhu-he-lo. That was the format they
- 17:14were singing in. So. Well, the guru
- 17:16doesn't look at your outer voice,
- 17:18whether it's beautiful or not, or
- 17:19harmonious. He looks at your feeling
- 17:21inside. Meaning when you have love for
- 17:24God inside, he says:" Oh, very good,
- 17:26very good, very sweet, very great. "
- 17:29Once, a girl started singing a Prabhat
- 17:31Samgiita, that is, a spiritual song.
- 17:33And the guru flew into a great rage, he
- 17:36got angry. He says, who let her in here
- 17:39? What is she singing? What kind of
- 17:40filth is this? What kind of vulgarity
- 17:42is this? Kick her out, right now. How
- 17:45so? What is even happening? We don't
- 17:46understand what's going on. She's
- 17:48singing Prabhat Samgiita, his own songs
- 17:50. So. But it’s explained later that
- 17:53she was in love with his bodyguard, yes
- 17:55, with his guard. And she stands up and
- 17:57sings songs that were intended for God.
- 18:00These songs were written for God. And
- 18:02she, meditating on this young man,
- 18:05right? On this brave, fit young man.
- 18:10She sings this Prabhat Samgiita song to
- 18:12him, which is intended for God. And
- 18:14he’s furious. He says:" What is this
- 18:16vulgarity? How could you allow this? "
- 18:20So. And at first they didn't understand
- 18:23what was happening, because, in truth,
- 18:25the guru, at these gatherings when
- 18:27spiritual seekers are present, wants an
- 18:29atmosphere of magic—a pure,
- 18:31undisturbed atmosphere of magic where
- 18:33only this divine presence exists. And
- 18:36all thoughts are focused, all thoughts
- 18:38ring true, all thoughts are in a state
- 18:40of purity. That is why he is like that.
- 18:42Anyway, never mind, I'm getting
- 18:44sidetracked. In short, the guru is
- 18:47lying on a couch, and someone is giving
- 18:49him a massage. And my dado is watching
- 18:53all of this. I am looking somewhere at
- 18:58his face, and from it radiates what is
- 19:01called ultra-aesthetic beauty. It is
- 19:04believed that a Sadguru, or the ideal
- 19:06teacher, possesses a special kind of
- 19:09beauty. It is described in the
- 19:10scriptures. It is said, it is called
- 19:12vishayasha shobha. You won't see it
- 19:14with ordinary eyes. You need to be in a
- 19:17state of spiritual semi-trance. Then
- 19:20you begin to perceive this charm and
- 19:22sweetness. An amazing contact is
- 19:25established between you and this
- 19:28essence of the guru. You are in
- 19:32paradise at that moment. And he says,
- 19:34we are looking at him, he is listening
- 19:36to this Prabhat Samgiita as we sing,
- 19:38and he begins to make micro-movements
- 19:40with his face. That is, barely
- 19:42perceptible, his facial expressions
- 19:44change slightly, and at the same time,
- 19:47he moves his fingers a little and makes
- 19:49some gesture, fixes some mudra. And he
- 19:52says that when he makes another gesture
- 19:55and freezes, at that moment it's as if
- 19:58explosions are occurring, and this
- 20:00energy emanates from his being in a way
- 20:03invisible to the eyes. And we
- 20:06experience an inner explosion of
- 20:09delight from this sweetness inside. And
- 20:12he says:" I was watching, I was drunk
- 20:14with this delight. "I just came, and
- 20:17all the other monks were sleeping, so I
- 20:20woke them up. I said:" You are crazy,
- 20:23incredible things are happening there.
- 20:26"" I have never experienced anything
- 20:27like this. "" And you are sleeping here
- 20:29. "And he says, when I returned to
- 20:31Germany, he says:" For half a year I
- 20:33couldn't think about anything at all. "
- 20:35I thought only one thing." My guru,
- 20:38India, guru, India, guru, India. "My
- 20:42mind was focused only on experiencing
- 20:45once again this divine atmosphere that
- 20:48the guru had allowed me to feel. And
- 20:52what was I talking about, anyway? I was
- 20:54actually talking about the Vishuddha
- 20:56Chakra. I am saying that a guru, with
- 20:59his charisma—a great holy man—very
- 21:02strongly attracts his disciples with
- 21:04his charisma. I mean, the disciples
- 21:07don't understand why, if someone asks
- 21:09you logically:" Why are you going to
- 21:11this guru? "" What do you need him for?
- 21:13"He puts pressure on you, he goes on
- 21:15and on, he disciplines you, he scolds
- 21:16you, but you say," I can't do it any
- 21:18other way. "That is, this happiness
- 21:21that I experience next to him, it
- 21:23eclipses all other things. That is why
- 21:25a guru must radiate nectar. That is one
- 21:28trait of a holy person. And he must
- 21:30also have the ability to punish, that
- 21:32is, the ability to scold you in such a
- 21:35way that you feel the vishaya, he says
- 21:37it in such a way that it makes you
- 21:39shudder through and through and you
- 21:42cast off all your bad, uh, things. You
- 21:44will say," That's it, I will never do
- 21:46this again. "Gururithpithya. Without
- 21:49these qualities, a person is not
- 21:50recognized as a guru. These are the
- 21:52characteristics of the vishuddha chakra
- 21:53. Yes. Amrita and vishaya, my dada. He
- 22:00is such a sweet person, with an
- 22:04incredible sense of humor and very kind
- 22:09. I rarely meet such kind people. Well,
- 22:12one of my dadas, I had four dadas. I
- 22:14lived with different monks at different
- 22:16periods of time and perceived them as
- 22:19my mentors, as my teachers. And one of
- 22:21the dadas, he was very kind, had a very
- 22:23good sense of humor. Yes. But one day I
- 22:26started to fall into such a
- 22:28svadhisthana chakra state, that is, to
- 22:31break all the rules. Somehow I fell in
- 22:35love with a girl there. Yes. And I was
- 22:38with her all the time. And it all
- 22:40looked unsightly. I was sort of a
- 22:42junior monk, sort of intending to
- 22:43become a monk. It all looked very
- 22:46disgusting. So I was just spending time
- 22:49with her. Ha-ha. hee-hee. Something in
- 22:51that spirit. Yes. And dada saw this,
- 22:54that I could not cope with what was
- 22:56happening to me. Yes. And although I
- 22:59felt myself that, well, something was
- 23:02false, something was wrong, but I just
- 23:04couldn't handle my emotions. And one
- 23:07day he caught me, and I was sitting in
- 23:09the kitchen with this girl. We were
- 23:11drinking milk and ha-ha-ha, hee-hee-hee
- 23:13. We were sitting like that. Very
- 23:15sweetly we were spending time. And then
- 23:20he bursts into the room, his hair was
- 23:23all disheveled like this. He had such
- 23:26intensity, like a little Mephistopheles
- 23:31he burst in, and he shouts: he speaks
- 23:39to me in English. What are you doing?
- 23:41Are you going to the training center?
- 23:44Are you going to the monastery? People
- 23:46are looking at you, like, what are you
- 23:49allowing yourself, come to my room
- 23:51immediately! When he exploded with this
- 23:54, it was a shock to me. So he walked in
- 24:00, and when he started yelling at me, I
- 24:02was scared at first, but then, I just
- 24:04opened my eyes wide and stared. And I
- 24:07had nothing to say. Everything he said
- 24:08was logical, very sharp, very powerful.
- 24:11I just stood there blinking, and then
- 24:13something, I don't know, something
- 24:15crunched, something broke inside me. My
- 24:18Anahata chakra here in my chest started
- 24:21to fill with such warmth, and I began
- 24:23to overflow with bliss. And that was it
- 24:26; that whole stream of desire or
- 24:29whatever I had going on there just
- 24:31vanished as if by magic. And I suddenly
- 24:34realized how wrong I had been acting.
- 24:37And I just felt love. He was shouting
- 24:41at me, but I felt such love, it was
- 24:43coming straight from God. I thought,"
- 24:47Wow, this is it. "They had told me
- 24:50various stories, but I couldn't
- 24:51understand what it was like. I thought,
- 24:53" This is it. "And he said," Get to my
- 24:55room quickly, I'll be waiting for you
- 24:57in 5 minutes. "And he left. Later, the
- 24:59guys told me that when he walked out of
- 25:01the room, he was holding back laughter.
- 25:05It was the first time I had seen him
- 25:06with a face like that. It wasn't anger,
- 25:08but an ability to manifest such power,
- 25:11to shake you up, to cause an earthquake
- 25:14. I came into the room and said," Dada,
- 25:16"realizing:" I am asking for punishment
- 25:22. "He said," So, what, punishment? ""
- 25:26What kind of punishment? You're a young
- 25:28guy, I understand everything, but you
- 25:29see, you-you-you-you. "He gave me a
- 25:31lecture there. I still remember the
- 25:33content of that lecture. He taught me a
- 25:35very cool lesson at that moment that
- 25:37has helped, inspired, and saved me my
- 25:39whole life. He said," Well, go do a
- 25:45hundred thukkis. "Thukkis are a kind of
- 25:47superbrain yoga, you know? You squat
- 25:49like this, holding your earlobes with
- 25:51your hands, and squat down. Go do a
- 25:53hundred thukkis in front of the
- 25:54portrait. Of Guru. I said," Alright
- 25:57then. "I went. He said," Listen, did
- 26:01you eat bread? "He was formally
- 26:03punishing me because, well, I hadn't
- 26:05followed the rules before meditation.
- 26:07That is, you shouldn't eat before
- 26:09meditation; you have to meditate on an
- 26:11empty stomach. So. And he was kind of
- 26:14formally punishing me for that. And I
- 26:16said," No, I didn't eat bread, I only
- 26:18drank milk. "He said," Well, 20 is fine
- 26:22. "That’s when I realized that Dada
- 26:23wasn’t angry with me at all. Meaning,
- 26:25inside him, there is only love. Right.
- 26:28But on the outside, he caused an
- 26:29earthquake for me. Right. This is one
- 26:32of those, well, magical experiences, if
- 26:36you will, in my life. And those who
- 26:39happened to be with our, like,
- 26:41grandmaster, yes, or great master, uh,
- 26:46with our central guru, yes, Shrii Shrii
- 26:49Anandamurti, they, uh, they were in all
- 26:52sorts of such predicaments. And now,
- 26:55when students share their stories,
- 26:57there’s both laughter and tears,
- 27:00because the guru combines these two
- 27:02qualities. On one hand, immense charm,
- 27:05huge charisma, great attraction,
- 27:08immense love, great sweetness, and he
- 27:11becomes the focal point of your life.
- 27:14But on the other hand, he can
- 27:16discipline you, bring you into line.
- 27:18That is, he doesn’t allow you, mm, he
- 27:20doesn’t tolerate any tamasic or
- 27:22animalistic manifestation from you. He
- 27:24wants you to always behave with dignity
- 27:27, humanely. If you behave in an
- 27:29inhumane or undignified way, the guru
- 27:32will be like a tiger. Ah. This is
- 27:35located here in the Vishuddha Chakra.
- 27:39Next. And next, here we have the noble
- 27:45qualities of the Vishuddha Chakra.
- 27:47These are Vasat, Vausat, Svaha, and
- 27:51Namah. Vasat means the striving for
- 27:57worldly well-being for everyone. That
- 28:03is, you want to ensure that everyone is
- 28:08well, for world peace, so there is no
- 28:13hunger, so there is no disease. This
- 28:18inspires you. When we turned 15, we
- 28:24began to feel these drives within
- 28:27ourselves. We began to feel this, this
- 28:31calling. I would like there to be no
- 28:34war. I would like there to be no
- 28:36poverty. I would like there to be no
- 28:39injustice. My mom told me about the
- 28:42idea. I say," And at that time, we
- 28:45still had Soviet power, and my mom was
- 28:49a member of the Communist Party. "So I
- 28:53say," Mom, well, what is communism? "
- 28:56She explained it to me simply, like for
- 28:57a child. She says," Well, communism is,
- 28:59she says, you come to the store, take
- 29:02whatever you want, no money needed. "I
- 29:04think," Wow. "And she explained to me,"
- 29:08To each according to their needs, from
- 29:12each according to their ability. "I
- 29:16thought," Wow, that's an excellent
- 29:19principle. "That inspired me. I think,"
- 29:24That's it, I must be a communist,
- 29:26because I also would like everyone to
- 29:28be doing well, so that no one lacks
- 29:30anything. "Everyone could live and be
- 29:32happy. This very tendency, it starts
- 29:35working at full capacity for us, the
- 29:37Vishuddha chakra, that is, it turns on,
- 29:40it manifests. By about the age of
- 29:42fifteen. In adolescence, many people
- 29:45experience this adolescent idealism,
- 29:47and many carry this idealism throughout
- 29:50their entire lives. And a great feature
- 29:55is when a person is fifty years old,
- 29:59but they think just like a teenager.
- 30:04Not in the sense that they are
- 30:05infantile. Yes, infantilism is
- 30:07something else entirely in yoga. We do
- 30:08not recognize it. Infantilism is
- 30:10emotional immaturity, but this person
- 30:12is inspired by this nobility. They are
- 30:14eternally young, right? This means that
- 30:17their Vishuddha chakra is still working
- 30:19. That is, it has turned on, it is
- 30:22working, it is open, energy flows
- 30:24through it, and physical well-being for
- 30:27everyone. Then Vausad. Vausad means
- 30:30mental well-being, that is, well-being
- 30:33at the level of reason, enlightenment,
- 30:36so that there is no" study, study,
- 30:39study and study again, "right? That is,
- 30:43taking care that people don't live in
- 30:47darkness or in the swamp of dogma or
- 30:50obscurantism. Often basically
- 30:57everything we suffer from is a
- 30:59defective philosophy. That is the main
- 31:01problem in life, right? There is a
- 31:04certain dogma, and we follow this dogma
- 31:07, for example, capitalism and
- 31:08liberalism, neoliberalism. That is one
- 31:12such dogma. We follow this dogma, we
- 31:14suffer. Communism, as it was formed, is
- 31:17also a flawed philosophy, it is also a
- 31:19dogma. We followed that dogma, we
- 31:21suffered. The problem is that there
- 31:24exists some flawed philosophy, there
- 31:27are certain dogmas, certain delusions
- 31:29and fears in people's minds. And this
- 31:32enslaves humanity; it prevents it from
- 31:35moving forward. And this Vausad is a
- 31:38scientific approach to life. Getting to
- 31:41the truth, finding the most rational
- 31:44solution, doing what is right and good,
- 31:47and sharing that rationality with
- 31:50everyone. That is also a very powerful
- 31:53drive. It inspires many people to
- 31:55become, to dedicate themselves to a
- 31:57cause. Those people who are truly
- 32:01teachers with a capital T, educators,
- 32:03they don't work for a paycheck. They do
- 32:07it because it is a mission, because it
- 32:09comes from the Vishuddha chakra. It is
- 32:15I was watching an interview Yuri
- 32:17Shevchuk gave, and he says someone
- 32:20asked him," Yura, can you make money in
- 32:23rock music nowadays? "He says:" Forget
- 32:26it, never do music. "Rock is freedom. I
- 32:30felt such deep respect for him then. I
- 32:33thought, good for him. It, well, it
- 32:35really resonates, what he said. Meaning
- 32:39you do it not because you want to get
- 32:42something. You do it because you cannot
- 32:45do otherwise. Because it is simply
- 32:48impossible to do otherwise. You know
- 32:51that, well, goodness will win, humanity
- 32:53will win. This comes from here, from
- 32:56the Vishuddha chakra, vausad. Such
- 33:02people are very devoted to their cause.
- 33:04They are missionaries by their very
- 33:06nature. A missionary not in the
- 33:08religious sense, but a person who has a
- 33:10mission. You could say there are two
- 33:12types: the missionary and the legionary
- 33:14. The legionary is a mercenary. That is
- 33:17, you get paid, you do the work. They
- 33:20stop paying you, you don't do the work.
- 33:23But a missionary, money doesn't matter
- 33:25to him, whether they pay or not, he
- 33:27does his work. He lives to get his work
- 33:29done. He lives to fulfill his mission.
- 33:35Next here we have the property of svaha
- 33:38. Svaha means, in India, you know, when
- 33:42they perform a sacrifice, they say:
- 33:45tran-tran-tran-tran-tran-tran-tran
- 33:47tata-ta-tata-tata, om svaha. And when
- 33:50he says svaha, at that moment oil is
- 33:51poured into the fire or something is
- 33:53sprinkled into the fire. Om svaha.
- 33:56Svaha is the root, that is, it is the
- 33:59idea of sacrifice, the idea of offering
- 34:02. And so service is inseparable. So
- 34:08here are these two vrittis, you
- 34:09understand, right? The desire for
- 34:12physical well-being for all, the desire
- 34:14for mental well-being for all, so that
- 34:17everyone is well. That is this idea,
- 34:20what motivates you to serve. Service.
- 34:22Service is of the Vishuddha chakra.
- 34:25Service means what I do without
- 34:26expecting anything in return. Business
- 34:29is when I do something, and for that I
- 34:32will receive something. Either some
- 34:34material bonuses or some emotional
- 34:36bonuses, like at the Anahata chakra
- 34:38level. Someone will tell me," You did a
- 34:41good job. "Yes, that is not service, is
- 34:45it? If you are at least working for"
- 34:47good job, "well okay, that is already
- 34:49high. If you work for, uh, some
- 34:51material values, then that is the
- 34:54Manipura chakra. If you work for fame
- 35:00and simply to internally feel worthy
- 35:03and like a good person, that is the
- 35:06Anahata chakra. But when you do it
- 35:09because you cannot do otherwise, and
- 35:11you actually want to hide from fame
- 35:12because you feel that I am still weak
- 35:14in this. That is, I want to do
- 35:17something selfless. And why? Because it
- 35:19truly makes me happy. I spoke with a
- 35:23man who was, uh, a hero for a long time
- 35:28; he was a monk and he was a teacher.
- 35:32But then it happened that he ran out of
- 35:34strength, and he left the path. And I
- 35:36talked to him later. I said," Listen,
- 35:39how do you feel? "He said," You know,
- 35:42it's very strange. "He said," I was, I
- 35:49was burning with fire, I was shining,
- 35:51and now I'm just little me. "Meaning, I
- 35:56was big. Meaning, I was part of this
- 36:00mission, part of this incredible thing
- 36:02happening—this transformation of the
- 36:05planet, of the entire cosmos. And now
- 36:08I'm small; I'm just me. Yes, do you
- 36:11understand? This is the Vishuddha
- 36:12Chakra. The Vishuddha Chakra is always
- 36:14about service. It is giving of yourself
- 36:17freely. It’s when you give yourself
- 36:19without expecting anything in return.
- 36:21You don't even expect a" thank you. "
- 36:23That is true service. It is what drives
- 36:26you. This force is so armor-piercing,
- 36:28it breaks through any wall. No obstacle
- 36:31can stand in your way, because this
- 36:33force is more powerful and stronger
- 36:35than any obstacle. And service is
- 36:38always inextricably linked to sacrifice
- 36:40. Sacrifice. Sacrifice means that while
- 36:44service is helping others, sacrifice is
- 36:47accepting discomfort. You sacrifice
- 36:51something for the sake of serving. That
- 36:54is the difference. Service and
- 36:56sacrifice. Our guru says," Be great
- 37:00through your sadhana, your service, and
- 37:02your sacrifice. "That is what makes you
- 37:06great. Your spiritual practice, your
- 37:09service, and your sacrifice, because
- 37:11greatness is the Vishuddha Chakra.
- 37:14Sacrifice. Sacrifice. And why sacrifice
- 37:18? Because you are happy to do it. You
- 37:22know that you might sacrifice a bit of
- 37:25yourself, but something great will be
- 37:28accomplished. And you do it, and in
- 37:32that moment, you are happy. Like, for
- 37:34example, our heroic feats in the Great
- 37:37Patriotic War; the most famous is
- 37:39Alexander Matrosov, who threw himself
- 37:42over a machine-gun port so his brothers
- 37:44could pass and win. That is a heroic
- 37:48feat, a moment of it. And this is where
- 37:51the Vishuddha Chakra exists, in the
- 37:53spirit of a heroic feat. It can start
- 37:55small; for some, a sacrifice is simply
- 37:58taking out the trash when it’s not
- 38:00their turn. And little by little, you
- 38:04acquire a taste for sacrifice.
- 38:06Eventually, you become what is called"
- 38:10Tyapeshwar, "or the god of sacrifice.
- 38:13Meaning you are effectively capable of
- 38:16turning your entire life into a gift
- 38:20for this world. And everything you do,
- 38:23you do not for yourself, you do for
- 38:25others. You give of yourself, you give
- 38:27to others. And in this you find very
- 38:29great happiness. You see, what a great
- 38:33Vishuddha chakra this is. Then next
- 38:36comes the property of namaha. Namaha is
- 38:38also a very transpersonal property.
- 38:41Namaha means surrender to the higher
- 38:43will. Surrender to the higher will.
- 38:46Take the Lord's Prayer, for example. It
- 38:52is a great prayer. It originated 2,000
- 38:56years ago, yes. And it says, and it
- 39:00touches us directly, when you say it,
- 39:03it touches you. It says:" Thy will be
- 39:08done. "This is exactly the rite of
- 39:10namaha. People often say:" I can't seem
- 39:15to meditate, but when I pray, I feel
- 39:18good. "Why? Because meditation is an
- 39:22abstract idea. It is very subtle, it is
- 39:25very difficult to grasp. But prayer is
- 39:27basically an idea here at the level of
- 39:29the Vishuddha chakra. And this
- 39:31resonates with us very well. That is,
- 39:33we can grasp it, we can connect with it
- 39:35. When you have grasped this, you can
- 39:38move on to what is called formless
- 39:41meditation, without this talk, that is,
- 39:44meditation of pure contact, of pure
- 39:46living communion with the divine. There
- 39:49. And for this, that is, to stimulate
- 39:52noble ideas, many spiritual songs have
- 39:55been written, prayers have been written
- 39:57, chanting mantras, and so on. That is,
- 40:00this is all to grasp these noble
- 40:02feelings that are here. Grasp these
- 40:05four noble feelings. The desire for
- 40:08physical well-being for all, the desire
- 40:10for psychic well-being for all.
- 40:13Well-being at the level of the mind.
- 40:15Fighting against darkness at the level
- 40:17of the mind. Obscurantism. Fighting
- 40:19against darkness at the level of the
- 40:20physical world. Fighting against
- 40:22darkness in the psychic world. And
- 40:25grasp the sweetness of this sacrifice.
- 40:28That is, I do not live for a small life
- 40:31, I live as an ideological flow. Grasp
- 40:35the surrender to the higher will. When
- 40:38you surrender to Him, you say:" All
- 40:40right, let Thy will be done. Lead me. "
- 40:43All religions and different mantras,
- 40:46they speak about the same thing. Take a
- 40:49mantra. The mantra Om Bhur Bhuvah Svah
- 40:58starts with Om. What does it say? O
- 41:03Creator. The one who created the worlds
- 41:09, Bhur, Bhuvah, Svah. O Creator. We
- 41:13meditate on Thy divine radiance. Why do
- 41:16we meditate on Thy divine radiance? So
- 41:19that direct our intellect on the path
- 41:26of our highest good. That is, a person
- 41:30says:" Lead me, O Creator, O Supreme
- 41:33Being, lead me forward, I entrust
- 41:35myself to You. "There is a song, for
- 41:38example, also one of the songs our Guru
- 41:39wrote. It says bundhu e necho alor
- 41:50jhorna dharar pane bondhu ge Bondu, man
- 41:59calls out to God as" Bondu. "Bondu
- 42:02means friend—oh, my dear friend, take
- 42:05me with you, lead me, lead me forward.
- 42:10Aloroi jornararpani, I am tired. Lead
- 42:15me to the source of divine light. Andr
- 42:18betar shaina prani. And I am tired of
- 42:22bearing the pain of darkness in my
- 42:24heart. Agumir Gornganur Gani, my
- 42:28terrible dream, destroy it with your
- 42:32songs, your songs. Oh my dear friend,
- 42:36lead me forward. This is the feeling,
- 42:38or, let's say, it's one song:" Lead me
- 42:41forward, I want to go, I am ready to go
- 42:43. "This surrender, no matter what
- 42:47happens, no matter what I have to
- 42:49endure. Maybe it won't be easy for me
- 42:52to walk this path, but I am ready to
- 42:54step into your boat. I am ready to
- 42:56stand and sail with you across any
- 42:58ocean. This, right here, is this
- 42:59feeling of surrender. Or, for example,
- 43:02there is another song. Amichai
- 43:09podrobash chereda. A chai, I want to go
- 43:22. Take me, batharotho shpchereda. Break
- 43:29all my chains. I want to go. Lead me
- 43:32forward. Yes. This is the feeling, this
- 43:36is namaha, surrender. I trust in you,
- 43:39only in you. Namaha means I prostrate
- 43:42myself before you. I, ah, bow down
- 43:44before you. Take me, lead me. These are
- 43:49the noble sentiments found in the
- 43:52Vishuddha chakra. This is what makes us
- 43:55very, very strong. This is what makes a
- 43:57person great. The energy has reached
- 43:59the Vishuddha chakra. If it hasn't
- 44:01leaked out here at the level of vanity,
- 44:04self-admiration, and so on, it has
- 44:06every chance of reaching here. If it
- 44:09didn't leak at the level of the
- 44:11Svadhishthana chakra, at the level of
- 44:13pleasure and all sorts of different
- 44:16passions, if it didn't leak at the
- 44:18level of ambition and materialism, if
- 44:20it didn't leak at the level of
- 44:22self-admiration and hypocrisy and this,
- 44:26yes, all of this—greed and such—
- 44:29then it has a chance to reach here.
- 44:32Here, the energy is pure. Whatever you
- 44:35do will be a treasure for this world.
- 44:37You will be a soul-soother for many,
- 44:40many people. Such is the greatness of
- 44:45the Vishuddha chakra. The following
- 44:48tendencies of the Vishuddha chakra are
- 44:51not even emotional tendencies; it is a
- 44:54subtle play of sounds that creates
- 44:57different, various tastes within you.
- 45:02Tastes, spiritual tastes are hard to
- 45:03describe, meaning it's difficult to
- 45:05give them a description. These sounds
- 45:08correspond to the seven musical notes.
- 45:13In Sanskrit, they are called
- 45:16Sa-Ri-Ga-Ma-Pa-Dha-Ni: Shadja is the
- 45:19peacock, Rishabha is the bull, Gandhara
- 45:23is the goat, Panchama is the cuckoo.
- 45:28Madhyama is the deer. Sa-ri-ga-ma-pa
- 45:35Dhaivata is the horse. This is the
- 45:38donkey. Nishada is the elephant. These
- 45:41sounds were named after the names of
- 45:43these animals. In Russian, they are
- 45:46called do-re-mi-fa-sol-la-si. These
- 45:49sounds, that is, their primary
- 45:52vibration, are present here in the
- 45:55Vishuddha chakra. When we hear music, a
- 45:59resonance occurs, and we experience
- 46:02different tastes, soulful tastes, which
- 46:04are available to us through this music
- 46:06—that is, with the help of the
- 46:08Vishuddha chakra. This is a very
- 46:11interesting topic, actually, a very
- 46:13interesting thing that one could talk
- 46:15about and discuss for a long time.
- 46:17Music can be prepared just like one can
- 46:20prepare a lunch. You cook lunch, you
- 46:24can add salt, add something spicy, a
- 46:28little lemon, or slice up a tomato. You
- 46:32mix different tastes, and you achieve a
- 46:34delightful effect. In the same way, in
- 46:37music, you can mix tastes, and you will
- 46:40have a specific soulful mood that lifts
- 46:43you upward. That is, music was an
- 46:46original aid for spiritual practice.
- 46:50Sadashiva, 7,000 years ago, formulated
- 46:53this system of Ragas and Raginis, these
- 46:56musical structures, these musical
- 46:58scales, with the help of which the mind
- 47:01is elevated. That is how Indian
- 47:04classical music was created. Yes. And,
- 47:08uh, that is, well, music has a taste,
- 47:13it has an uplifting effect, because the
- 47:15original music is present—that is,
- 47:18the basis of music, its foundation, its
- 47:20root, is rooted in the Vishuddha chakra
- 47:23. And we perceive music also with the
- 47:25help of the Vishuddha chakra and the
- 47:28Anahata chakra. Here is the faculty
- 47:30that can appreciate melody and notes.
- 47:32We appreciate the melody right here.
- 47:35Yes. And, and, and what did I want to
- 47:37say? I wanted to give an example, for
- 47:40instance, take a song about Prabhat
- 47:43Samgiita. This is one of my guru's
- 47:45songs. He wrote this song. In it, it is
- 47:49sung:" Mor ghare ele "" priyo keno gele
- 47:57"" ama kichu bolle na. "" A "" ama
- 48:07kichu bolle na "" e ashanay "" mon
- 48:17bhorar ni e ashanay "" mon bhorar ni ""
- 48:26moner kotha bolona "" A "" kichu bolle
- 48:35na. "What is this? What taste is it?
- 48:41How would you say, what is the taste? I
- 48:43would say there is a sweet taste here,
- 48:45there is a bitter taste. Yes, it says:"
- 48:48Mor ghare ele "" priyo keno gele. "Oh,
- 48:55my beloved, you came to my home, but
- 48:58why were you here for such a short time
- 49:01? Why did you leave so quickly? That
- 49:04doesn't count as a real visit. That is,
- 49:08a person longed for God to come to them
- 49:09. And so, He appeared for a fleeting
- 49:12moment. He appeared. There is such a
- 49:14concept here. In another song it says,
- 49:17mm, gunati. Alright, I forgot the song.
- 49:27In general, there is such a word,"
- 49:30Anaguna, "meaning it rolled over me
- 49:32like waves and then receded. That is,
- 49:34at one moment I realized and felt, and
- 49:37then I again became like a stone and
- 49:39could no longer perceive your holy
- 49:41presence. This is called Anaguna. And
- 49:44here the person also laments, he says:"
- 49:46Oh my beloved, you came to my home, but
- 49:48for some reason you left so quickly. "
- 49:50This arrival is not a real visit and
- 49:52does not count, it is not accepted. I
- 49:54asked you for something else. And
- 49:57ashashanoy monbornoy. This arrival is
- 50:04not a true arrival. My soul is not
- 50:06satisfied. And then monekota bulana, I
- 50:12could not express my most intimate
- 50:14thoughts to you. And then it says bina
- 50:20badjechile mon matiechile a
- 50:34binavadechile mone matiechile
- 50:40akashajarajara pritiridile bolilei
- 50:47Balobashono balobasholi balobashono
- 50:54balobashony judi rogilina amaykichu
- 51:05bolegelena the lute played, you poured
- 51:12down streams of love from the heavens.
- 51:17You told me to love, but how could I
- 51:20love if my mind had ceased to exist?
- 51:25And then the final verse, I will finish
- 51:28the song for you since we are on such a
- 51:32wave:" Tomate amate sotojon "tobo otobo
- 51:40bhabi mon monje bhorpur dipoke
- 51:47meghmalare je baje shure dipoke
- 51:53meghmalareje baje shur ti rekh totuna
- 52:07amakichu bolena tomate amate sotojon—
- 52:15between you and me there is a distance
- 52:17of hundreds of miles, but my mind is
- 52:22overflowing with your feelings,
- 52:25melodies in the Deepak style are
- 52:28playing, named Meghmalar. In them, you
- 52:32have woven your divine radiance. Yes,
- 52:35do you feel it? Well, I just gave an
- 52:37example. Prabhat Samgiita song. It has
- 52:40such a rich combination of tastes, and
- 52:43in the melody these tastes combine, and
- 52:46your soul begins to experience a
- 52:48delightful rapture, dancing along with
- 52:51these notes, dancing along with this
- 52:54ideation, with the divine words. This
- 52:59all happens because we have high
- 53:01strings. These high strings are here at
- 53:06the Vishuddha Chakra. There are also a
- 53:11few more sounds. There is the sound Aum
- 53:14, there is the sound Phat, and there is
- 53:17the sound Hum. The sound Om is the
- 53:23sound of all processes. It is the
- 53:27primordial sound. It is the sound from
- 53:30which the universe emerged. Have you
- 53:33heard such an expression? In the
- 53:35beginning was the Word. The Word was
- 53:37with God. It was God. Philosophically
- 53:42speaking, initially the word arises,
- 53:45initially Om arises. And this Om is the
- 53:49combination of all energies, which then
- 53:52fire off, explode, and produce
- 53:55countless sounds, countless phenomena.
- 53:58From the point of view of Tantra
- 54:00philosophy, behind any phenomenon there
- 54:02is a sound, a vibration. That is, any
- 54:05thing is a vibration. At its core, it
- 54:07is sound. An atom is a vibration, it is
- 54:09a wave. It is, in essence, sound. And
- 54:12these waves, subtle or gross, all of
- 54:14them are rooted in the sound of Om. Om
- 54:17is three sounds. It is the sound of
- 54:20creation, when from non-being, from the
- 54:23abstract world, from the non-physical
- 54:25world something emerges, something is
- 54:28created, a particle arises, creation
- 54:30happens, something manifests in the
- 54:33manifest universe. It is sound. And
- 54:36when this atom travels and is sustained
- 54:39, for instance, in us, in our bodies,
- 54:41these are very ancient atoms; they have
- 54:45very ancient molecules. Well, maybe the
- 54:47molecules aren't as ancient, but the
- 54:49atoms are definitely very ancient. That
- 54:51is, we consist of stardust that was
- 54:53once in that sun factory. The sun
- 54:56expanded, contracted, expanded,
- 54:58contracted, producing ever-new elements
- 55:01of the Mendeleev table, and then it
- 55:03exploded as a supernova, and its
- 55:05material scattered throughout the
- 55:08universe, and a planet somewhere or
- 55:10another star picked it up. And so our
- 55:13planet contains all these elements
- 55:15within itself. And now our body
- 55:17consists of these elements. We are made
- 55:20of stardust. These ancient atoms, the
- 55:23fact that they exist for so long, means
- 55:25they are constantly sustained in the
- 55:27cosmic thought-projection. And this
- 55:30effect, this phenomenon of maintenance,
- 55:32it has the sound" u ". And eventually,
- 55:36when they turn back into an abstract
- 55:42sphere, that is, the physical
- 55:44transforms into the psychic, into the
- 55:47spiritual, essentially meaning
- 55:49destruction occurs. But destruction is
- 55:52not just destruction, because nothing
- 55:53is destroyed in the universe; it is
- 55:55transformation. So when something gross
- 55:57is transformed into something subtle,
- 55:59it is called" ma ". That is, when the
- 56:03subtle becomes gross, it is the sound"
- 56:05a "; when it exists, evolves, and
- 56:08transforms, going through different
- 56:10forms in its various structures, this
- 56:13is the sound" u ". And eventually, when
- 56:16the gross becomes subtle, it is" ma ".
- 56:19And this sound" AUM "," UMA ", is the
- 56:22sound of the universe's creation. This
- 56:25sound appears at the moment when the
- 56:27etheric factor arose, the most subtle
- 56:30factor. That is, space and time were
- 56:33simply created. So at that moment, the
- 56:35sound" Om "appears. And within us, the
- 56:38etheric factor is the Vishuddha chakra.
- 56:42Initially, the vibration of this sound
- 56:44of creation, maintenance, and
- 56:46destruction exists here in the
- 56:48Vishuddha chakra. And then there are
- 56:52two more sounds. Phat. Phat is the
- 56:55sound—firstly, it is the vritti of
- 56:57practicality. That is, people with a
- 57:00developed Vishuddha chakra are
- 57:01practical. They get an idea, and they
- 57:04know how to implement it. Some
- 57:07impractical people will paint such
- 57:10castles for you, but you know it won't
- 57:12work, it won't happen, it won't stand
- 57:14the test of the hard reality of our
- 57:16earth. But there are practical people;
- 57:20they clearly know:" This will work,
- 57:21this will not work. "And they are
- 57:23capable of embodying their ideas in
- 57:25practice. This is a characteristic of
- 57:28the Vishuddha chakra and Phat. Phat
- 57:30means the rapid embodiment of an idea
- 57:32into reality. Even in Tantra, the" Phat
- 57:35"mantra was used to accelerate
- 57:37activities, so that when something was
- 57:39conceived, the idea could be realized.
- 57:42The Phat mantra was used. Yes. And the
- 57:46final sound is the sound of" Hum. "Hum.
- 57:49Hum is the sound of awakening Kundalini
- 57:53. And when Kundalini wakes up, the
- 57:57sleeping divine power awakens and cries
- 57:59out, meaning its energy reaches the
- 58:02Vishuddha chakra. The Kundalini impulse
- 58:05reaches the Vishuddha chakra, and we
- 58:07cry out. You can see how spiritual
- 58:12practitioners sit and meditate. Yes.
- 58:15But this usually happens to beginners
- 58:17because the nervous system isn't used
- 58:19to it yet, there's no endurance, and
- 58:21the energy of meditation is truly very
- 58:23powerful. And when you reach
- 58:25concentration, but the body can't
- 58:27handle it, this sound bursts out of you
- 58:29. Yes. Usually, this happens, say, when
- 58:32a person has meditated for three years,
- 58:34they've reached a certain level of
- 58:36concentration, but their body hasn't
- 58:38developed yet—the body is still a bit
- 58:40weak. And so they sit, sit, and
- 58:43suddenly this" hum "occurs. And other
- 58:50Tantrics perceive this as a" Banza "or
- 58:52a" Hurrah. "Hurrah, someone is storming
- 58:55the gates. Oh, he’s off, he’s
- 58:57gathered himself. He is already almost
- 59:00at the door to Samadhi. M. And
- 59:02sometimes there is even a collective
- 59:04Humkara. Meaning one is sitting, and
- 59:07then 5 minutes later, another lets this
- 59:13out. Very, very inspiring. I once
- 59:17meditated with a Dada. He was sitting
- 59:21there so tall, arms spread out, doing
- 59:23the sixth lesson of meditation. Yes.
- 59:26It's clear when a person is doing the
- 59:28sixth lesson; if they aren't
- 59:30concentrated, they sit relaxed. But
- 59:33when concentration begins, they stretch
- 59:34out like this, because the energy
- 59:36straightens your spine. You sit there
- 59:39like a taut string. So we are sitting
- 59:41there, meditating. Yes. And at some
- 59:43point, I hear it. I think, oh,
- 59:51something is happening. This is called
- 59:56Humkara. It's happening. The first time
- 59:59I heard it, I, well, had some
- 1:00:01misunderstanding. I thought, why is
- 1:00:03this person yelling? Why is he
- 1:00:05disturbing our meditation? Yes. But
- 1:00:07then, when I experienced it myself—I
- 1:00:09was concentrating, concentrating, and
- 1:00:11suddenly this spiritual flow simply
- 1:00:13takes over in a state of Bhava. You
- 1:00:15experience high energy, you are
- 1:00:18bursting with it, you have ecstasy, and
- 1:00:21your ecstasy has moved from your heart
- 1:00:24to here, and you are overflowing. with
- 1:00:29this. There is too much energy now and
- 1:00:31it requires expression, but you
- 1:00:33actually can't say anything at all. You
- 1:00:35have no words left to express anything.
- 1:00:38You cannot say a thing. Therefore, you
- 1:00:40can only say this. So, this is, well, a
- 1:00:46normal tantric manifestation. It’s
- 1:00:49called Humkara. This indicates that
- 1:00:51your Kundalini Shakti has been awakened
- 1:00:53. It is in an awakened state. You are
- 1:00:56now plugged into megawatts of this
- 1:01:00infinite power. There you go. And, of
- 1:01:02course, the experiences are very, very
- 1:01:06inspiring at this moment. And then for
- 1:01:09many days, you have inspiration, and
- 1:01:11your mind doesn't fall into lower
- 1:01:12emotions. Meaning you are aimed at the
- 1:01:16sky, aimed at the sky. This is, yes,
- 1:01:20the power of Mother Kundalini, this
- 1:01:23sleeping, dormant energy, combined with
- 1:01:26the expressiveness of the Vishuddha
- 1:01:28Chakra. That's how it is. And Vishuddha
- 1:01:32, yes, this is Humkara. These are the
- 1:01:3516 petals of the Vishuddha Chakra. When
- 1:01:39the Kundalini, oh, when the Vishuddha
- 1:01:43Chakra develops, you find that you were
- 1:01:47as if you were a stump, a log,
- 1:01:50inexpressive, unnoticeable, gray. But
- 1:01:55from the moment it turned on, the
- 1:01:58energy began to reach here. So, shut
- 1:02:02off the valves here, cut it off,
- 1:02:05disconnect from your eternal focus on
- 1:02:07your own personality. Go into a
- 1:02:10transpersonal life. And here, when you
- 1:02:13reach this point, you will find that
- 1:02:14your whole personality, as if you were
- 1:02:17a wooden Pinocchio, and green sprouts
- 1:02:19began to emerge from there, from there,
- 1:02:21from there, from there. Your entire
- 1:02:23personality acquires charm and
- 1:02:24enchantment. And they say:" A talented
- 1:02:26person is talented in everything. "" A
- 1:02:28genius is brilliant in everything. "
- 1:02:30Because the chakra is the same for
- 1:02:32everyone. We won't spare any cost.
- 1:02:34Meaning, once it has started, once the
- 1:02:37energy has reached here, this energy
- 1:02:39won't give up; it will work there until
- 1:02:42you bloom like a Japanese sakura. You
- 1:02:45will be all in flowers and fragrance.
- 1:02:48So that’s why, well, what needs to be
- 1:02:51done to develop the Vishuddha Chakra?
- 1:02:54One of the important things for the
- 1:02:56Vishuddha Chakra is the voice. On one
- 1:02:58hand, the voice drains the Anahata and
- 1:03:02Vishuddha chakras. When we speak
- 1:03:06without purpose, we drain ourselves. We
- 1:03:12drain our Anahata Chakra, we drain our
- 1:03:14Vishuddha Chakra. We waste energy. This
- 1:03:17energy won't be able to do anything
- 1:03:19useful. A chatterbox is a spy’s
- 1:03:21delight. On the other hand, when we use
- 1:03:26the voice constructively, the Vishuddha
- 1:03:29Chakra develops. Like when we chant"
- 1:03:32Baba Nam Kevalam. "Actually, when we
- 1:03:36sing, one teacher, well, she is an
- 1:03:39honored teacher of the Soviet Union,
- 1:03:42and she teaches at a music school, she
- 1:03:45teaches people vocals. So. And she says
- 1:03:49, I was visiting them once. Right. And
- 1:03:51she says:" You know, I’ve spent my
- 1:03:53whole life teaching people to sing. "
- 1:03:55And he says:" When a person starts
- 1:03:57singing, there was a feeling that they
- 1:04:00were a wooden log, a talentless
- 1:04:03creature, absolutely devoid of any gift
- 1:04:06. But when it's the person's turn to
- 1:04:09sing, this dead wood starts to sprout
- 1:04:11with green shoots. In other words,
- 1:04:14their personality unfolds with all the
- 1:04:17talents that are possible. "Therefore,
- 1:04:19singing is a great thing. Yes. And
- 1:04:22especially for yogis, the beauty is
- 1:04:25that we sing constantly, we sing daily.
- 1:04:28It is a part of our practice. And we
- 1:04:31don't just sing words, there are great
- 1:04:33songs, good songs. And in our culture,
- 1:04:36we have a lot of good songs, right? In
- 1:04:39Russian culture, there are very many
- 1:04:41good songs. And that is all great and
- 1:04:44good. Yes. However, a mantra contains
- 1:04:47the highest idea that is possible. This
- 1:04:50idea is, in a way, the very peak of
- 1:04:57human ideation. It is the area where
- 1:04:59the mind already stops; it gets lost.
- 1:05:01So, this is the peak. Beyond that lies
- 1:05:03a pure, pure spiritual sphere. Yes. And
- 1:05:06when you chant a mantra, your Vishuddha
- 1:05:08chakra will definitely develop. Your
- 1:05:10ability to sing develops, and your...
- 1:05:14develops too. Along with this, your
- 1:05:17eloquence develops. Yes. Vishuddha
- 1:05:19chakra. It's about eloquence, while
- 1:05:21being tongue-tied is a shortcoming,
- 1:05:23some kind of problem. In the Vishuddha
- 1:05:27chakra, eloquence and charisma develop,
- 1:05:30leadership skills develop, and these
- 1:05:33super-abilities of the human mind are
- 1:05:36also rooted in the Vishuddha chakra. So
- 1:05:40, it is a very, very, very fantastic
- 1:05:43center. We need to work with it. Ah,
- 1:05:46well, okay. I started talking about the
- 1:05:48fact that how to develop singing—
- 1:05:52mantra chanting, then service, doing
- 1:05:56something that you are not doing for
- 1:06:01yourself. Practicing this as a cult, as
- 1:06:04a constant practice. On a regular basis
- 1:06:08, you do something that contributes to
- 1:06:10the great mission of transforming
- 1:06:13humanity, yes, positive transformation
- 1:06:15of humanity, doing service, sacrifice,
- 1:06:18that is, cultivating. And then—it
- 1:06:21weighs on you, what is it called, a
- 1:06:23collar, a ruff. You cannot sacrifice
- 1:06:27anything. You always feel you must
- 1:06:31receive something in return. Try to do
- 1:06:34it anyway. Try to do it and not even
- 1:06:36expect praise. At least something small
- 1:06:39. Try, try giving. That will also
- 1:06:43develop your Vishuddha chakra.
- 1:06:45Breathing exercises follow the same
- 1:06:48principle as with the Anahata chakra
- 1:06:50and Manipura chakra. You lie down and
- 1:06:53breathe into the Vishuddha chakra here.
- 1:06:58And asanas—from asanas, it's
- 1:07:01Sarvangasana, Matsyasana, Halasana, the
- 1:07:05plow pose, er, this is rabbit pose, it
- 1:07:14is cobra pose. These are the main
- 1:07:17exercises. Yes. And, of course, the
- 1:07:22third lesson and the fifth lesson of
- 1:07:24meditation. That's chakra meditation,
- 1:07:28right? That is, a meditation that is
- 1:07:31entirely focused on the chakras. Yes.
- 1:07:35So, that is all about the Vishuddha
- 1:07:37chakra. Good luck in developing the
- 1:07:40Vishuddha chakra. There. And most
- 1:07:42importantly, meditate. Meditation
- 1:07:44develops all the chakras. There. And
- 1:07:47the upper chakras control the lower
- 1:07:49chakras. As the upper chakras develop,
- 1:07:51the lower ones develop automatically.
- 1:07:55That is all for now. See you again when
- 1:07:57we talk about the Ajna chakra. Namaste.
